Hey bestie! Long time no talk. I hope the rest of your 2022 was good and that this year has been treating you well so far.

I’ve been on my Battinson bullshit recently, so I thought I’d stop by and share a few hc’s.

1. After everything with the Riddler, Bruce gets heavily pressured to be more involved with the company—mainly he gets pressured into having Twitter. He’s promised he doesn’t have to run the account, it just has to have his name. He’s promised someone else will tweet from it. Bruce agrees. His first tweet is a picture of his cat. The internet goes nuts for it. He then decides he’s going to run the account and only tweet pictures of his cat. He’ll post about something the company is doing to help Gotham but the tweet is above a picture of Vengeance. He’ll definitely send a picture of Vengeance cuddled up in some blankets with the caption “when you’re mean to me this is who you’re being mean too.”

2. Occasionally Bruce fights people on Twitter. It’s not often, but sometimes he gets a bit hot headed. Since sexism exists I think a lot of people would congratulate him on ideas/work when it’s been stated that it was the work of his wife. Even if the idea came from someone else within the company Bruce is 100% giving them credit. He tweets “ I really don’t do shit.” It then becomes a PR nightmare. The board isn’t impressed, the internet is. Twitter would simp for this man.

3. Sometime after their marriage they do a renovation in the house. Reporters catch wind of this and gossip magazines speculate that she’s pregnant, and there’s gonna be an heir. Soon everyone believes it. There’s no baby, and no heir. They renovated an entire room for Vengeance. They announce their baby/home renovation on Twitter. Once again the internet goes nuts.

4. Bruce is secretly a huge romantic softie. He’s always thinking of little romantic things he can do. However, Bruce is a little shit so I imagine he’d occasionally send her a text that says “this made me think of you” and the picture attached is random. It would cause a little bit of chaos.

5. I imagine that her and Bruce would be close in age. However Gordon only calls her kid. She finds it a bit annoying because “we’re practically the same age.” I think Gordon would sigh before saying “he’s not my kid” since Gordon thinks of her as a daughter. She’s then stop pestering him about calling her kid.

6. Alfred starts making them both eat fruits and vegetables if they start getting preoccupied by other things. If he thinks they still aren’t getting enough food or rest he’ll enlist Gordon’s help. Alfred and Gordon are an unstoppable duo.

1. Bruce 100% would accidentally turn his social media into a stan account for his cat. But then when he realizes people love it, it encourages him, and I feel like he'd get more ridiculous with it. Like "Look at Vinny's new collar" and a picture. But with every small moment ever 😂

2. He definitely would occasionally fight on twitter and I bet he'd be great at one line takedowns tbh. I bet he could just rip into a person so easily & efficiently that yes it does become a PR nightmare, Bruce doesn't give a shit. It makes people love him.

3. I could definitely see this happening. And they accidentally encourage it because they always call their cat their baby and the baby 😂😂

4. Why did this make me think of that post with Edward Cullen and the effervescent snail I know exactly why he definitely is a little shit sometimes but a romantic at heart. It's canon (to me at least)

5. Gordon very casually tosses this out too and thinks nothing of it, meanwhile she's kind of choking up/ emotional about it because aww he sees her as his kid/ as family and damn now she can't comment on it anymore

6. Alfred and Gordon team up to make sure they get their fruits/ veggies/ sleep. They text each other about it. Also I like to think that this is actually canon with Alfred (remember that green juice in the movie??)

he's the type to write you birthday letters and leave sticky notes with little heart shaped drawings around the house

Tecchou tries to bake you a cake and asks Jouno or Tachihara to taste it, but because he uses weird ingredients it turns out terrible so he just buys you a small cupcake instead

as for presents he gets you anything you want, really. if you're not willing to tell him what your heart desires too bad he's gonna contact all your friends and ask them what to get you

now Sigma would be willing to get a little spicy with you if you want it; he doesn't mind it at all. you want bday sex? ok. but at the end of the day he still wants to cuddle you♡

in the evening he probably asks you what you usually do for your bday so he can be better prepared next year

I don't really see him being keen on big parties so he won't organize anything of the sort

I don't think he'd get you a big gift tbh; he has the "what do you mean sugar? am I not enough of a gift for you?" mentality. he's also so much clingier than normally

now two words: birthday sex. this man is wakes you up with head and doesn't let you go to sleep in the evening until you've came at least two times.

It's 1993 in central Texas, and things are as well as they could be for a single father, Joel Miller. That's if you don't include his struggling financial situation and the grueling effects of his new construction job. But now it's summer, Sarah won't be occupied in a classroom setting for some time, leaving him without proper care to watch Sarah while he works.

With his new dilemma, Joel couldn't help but vent to his little brother, Tommy, who for once offered a solution; with no other choice, he figured it was worth a shot. Hire a babysitter, but she so happens to be one of Tommy's friends who's a recent graduate. Joel worried about the cost of hiring, but Tommy insisted she was a generous spirit who would gladly help with little cost. Once she knew his situation, Tommy was right. He has never been so thankful to welcome a stranger into his home, even if he still has reservations.

Little did he know, Tommy's friend had already become quite smitten with Joel the moment she first laid eyes on him but planned to keep it to herself. She's only here to do her job and it's not like Joel would like her back. But he did. It took a bit of time but once he realized it, he fell hard. He just knew he couldn't let you go once the summer was over. Why not keep her employed longer. He could admit his feelings at some point. Right?

Lord, I have so many fic ideas that I must write 😤. I actually shared this idea with a mutual while back, so this one is a bit more personal. This will probably be the first series I write when we get to 2025. As far as I know, this won't be anything too crazy, the outline I'm working on right now ranges from 14 - 20 chapters. I'm trying to give myself some room to stay within that frame I've given myself but we'll see what happens.

As of now, I don't wanna share too much about what I have planned,, but I also wanna share everything jdjkdjs. This will be a "slow burn" in a sense, but it'll be a short series, so idk if it fits here but oh well. However, the smutting won't happen later on in the fic as I will be focusing on Joel and the reader actually becoming friends because they deserve it

I already started making a playlist for this as inspo because I can't without listening to music tbh so that's been really fun. So I can't wait for when that comes out and it will be just music from that period and songs referenced in the fic, So all 1993 and going back a bit further to give the reader insert a bit of range. let's assume Fuku's either busy with someone else at the bar, away from the barstools, or somewhere in the back. and since y/n's all for making people happy, they ask to meet Fuku and thank her for supporting them big time and to basically surprise her, cuz who wouldn't be surprised and happy to see their fav artist??? and the singer being genuinely friendly and happy that they met a fan????? personally i'd fold but anyway. Fuku's all excited and y/n is just so "🥰🥰🥰" about her bc she's adorable

1. R stands for Roland. He doesn't like his name, so he started going by R, which is like, so dumb, my guy, but R is dumb, so it fits. Eventually it just sounds like his name, which, to him it is.

2. R and Mark are fighting because *inhales deeply* R has a mortifying ordeal of being known complex while simultaneously having need to be seen and acknowledged complex, and Mark got invited to the friend group by Daniel but then proceeded to kinda ignore R's existence, which is not okay! can i request an earth 42 miles morales x reader story where she found him injured in a valley and he was still in the prowler suit but she didnt care (or she just didnt see clearly since it was night time) so she aproached him and miles was like go away even threatend her at some but but she then tells him to shut up so she can work in peace. She already studies in medicine and she vent to a grocery store when she found him and she quickly ran home to get the suplies she thought she needed. So basicly she doesnt care if he kills her she just wanted to help him and thats it so at the end milles is just quet and doesnt know how to respond to her like doesnt she know who he is sure its dark out side and they cant see each others faces clearly but the suit should by now give away his identite. So once she stiched him up she just sais her goodyes and just leaves him there and he is just so shocked that in this wretched place called New york there is still a person this kind or just pretty stupid to do that. So lets say milles didnt clearly see her face and vanted to see her again to see she didnt give anything about him away no other reason, he didnt want to see her so he could feel the same warmth she gave him when she cerfouly touched him he didnt want to hear her soft voice again that for some reason eased his pain when she praisd him that he was doing a good job staying still and not moving. Really no other reason so for weeks hes been searching for her but never found her until one day just randomly in a store he by chance heard her voice when she was talking to the cashier so he quickly ran out and suited up so he could follow her home to see if shes as nice as she makes her self look like and not to keep her safe or anything. You sigh when you finally arrive home, kicking off your shoes in the process of it.  Studying medicine was anything but easy. Today you had a full day of classes, along with a bunch of homework. You had eventually gone to the library to finish it, before making a quick grocery stop as well.

The minute you turn around, you freeze. There's someone sitting on your couch. Upon closer inspection, you realize it's the prowler, someone you had recently come across. You had helped him when he was injured. You do not remember ever inviting him into your apartment, much less tell him to make himself comfortable.

" Hi." His distorted voice sounds from his mask.

You huff, not having the energy for this today.

" Yeah, uhm, I don't remember inviting you to my hous- WHY ARE YOU SITTING ON MY COUCH WITH YOUR DIRTY BOOTS ON MY CARPET?!" You scold him.

To your surprise, he listens, taking off his shoes as he gently puts them down beside the couch.

" Thanks. So what are you doing here? Are you injured?" You ask him, checking him out before walking off into the kitchen to get a glass of water.

He doesn't react for a good minute, his mask covering his face, shielding whatever expression he's housing. To your surprise, his mask unclasps, and fold into itself on the back of his head.

It surprises you. He's handsome but seemingly also tired. You're not entirely sure what he's trying to create between you.

" Wanted to see you again." He tells you straight up, making you even more confused.

" Why?" You ask him.

He shrugs, glancing around your place, seemingly looking for an answer.

Your expression remains guarded, but you don't step away.

I mean since I am in Creative Mode right now fjfjfkckf I kind of shared most of the details from that one original idea I had besides maybe like specific scenarios? Or i guess I just wound up writing just this one and it got really long

Ok so. Imagine a scenario where Reader is married off to the Emperor. She's only a concubine because she is not high ranking enough to be Empress, like unfortunately in these sorts of stories and political systems the Empress is typically like a political marriage of extremely high value, so you're kind of The Official Side Bitch while other women are being considered for Empress which, insanely burns you because regardless of whether Reader loves the Emperor or she doesn't and this is a prison, now she's basically his accessory and not even like the main/only wife?

Separate idea for a second but sometimes I imagine awakening as Saintess is the thing that lowkey fucks Reader over and makes her of high enough status to be Empress and it can also be easily spun into propoganda how the war hero Emperor and the Saintess fell in love before either of them rose to their stations and how oh, it must be preordained by the heavens

But anyways for this scenario, imagine they've been married and Reader is feeling extremely unhappy and neglected to the point she's being socially withdrawn and isn't particularly speaking to anyone or doing anything. Perhaps the Emperor has had certain behaviors that have upset her, like punishing servants too harshly for menial things such as not attending to her with absolute perfection, she hates hearing that he is getting other concubines, daughters and princesses of foreign nations as symbolic political alliances, perhaps the Emperor, because of decorum, was forced to admonish or even punish her in some way for something she did such as speaking out against another harem woman who was being disrespectful and causing some sort of argument or even fight. Reader gets emotional and winds up slapping a noble woman and the Emperor puts her on house arrest as punishment, but it's mostly as a form of protection since some of these women are deliberately trying to rile you up and start shit as an excuse to try and bring you down or retaliate because they disliked you before you even gave them any reason to, but Reader then feels isolated and hates how he didn't try and defend her, that her losing her temper was worse than whatever the woman had said.

It doesn't feel good to put your love and trust into someone and have them choose someone else's side. It's like taking whatever small sense of security and self worth you had and chipping away at it.

So in all of her feelings of betrayal and isolation, Reader starts keeping most things to herself. She doesn't go out even after the Emperor lifts the punishment. She refuses invites sent by courier from any of the other women. She instructs her servants to close the gates of her palace and not to let anyone enter without her explicit permission. And of course, she tells no one as she slowly begins to fall ill, gradually getting sicker and sicker, forbidding any of the servants from saying a single thing. It becomes severe enough thst she's eventually spending most of her days in bed, feeling too week to do much of anything

Finally one of the loyal servants cracks. They can't conceal this at the risk of your health even if you have asked them to. This might have already gone on for too long. You seem to almost be deteriorating. By the time a servant personally informs the Emperor of your state and he's rushed to check on you, you're completely unconscious, feverish, you've lost weight since he's seen you last. The royal doctors are summoned immediately, but the prognosis isn't good. You're extremely weak and they aren't exactly sure why which is concerning for multiple reasons. They have no concrete evidence what disease it is that is making you so incredibly fragile. It's like your body lacks the energy to move, speak, even wake up entirely.

A doctor makes the mistake of telling the Emperor that, surely if this illness had been caught in its infancy, your condition wouldn't be so severe. They are unsure if they can cure you. They can't even promise that you are going to live.

When your eyes finally open again you've been unconscious for several days and not a single person around you is familiar. Your entire palace staff have been changed. Where are all your maids and guards who you've come to know over these years, people you've worked with, all but grown up with? The new staff will not answer you, simply brushing you off, that such matters are not important to waste energy worrying in when you are in such weak health

You have a bad feeling. You have such a horrible fucking feeling that something is wrong that it's making your skin crawl. It takes everything you have to get your body to move out of bed, your heart hammering with anxiety, fear and desperation sinking in like a poison. You try to leave your bedroom and there are guards posted outside who all but order you to go lie back down. In this scenario the thing that was causing Reader to fall ill was the mana accumulating in her body without any sort of outlet, until now, when she awakens as Saintess, and just begins to sob. You're sitting there just wailing and sobbing and screaming like you've never screamed before and rain is pouring down everywhere like a sudden squall, practically hurricane force winds as there seems to be almost a halo of dry sky around you and the hideously disrespected bodies of your subordinates. You're weeping, and the sky weeps with you.

And I imagine this is the final straw that makes Reader go "I swear to fucking god I am getting a divorce from this man or kill one of us trying" and im her position as Saintess she has incredible negotiating power to do so because, oh, the Emperor is holding the Saintess hostage in am unwanted marriage and is refusing to let her make any pilgrimages to help the people? How is she supposed to heal the sick and bring rain to the regions affected by drought then? What would the commoners think? What would the other nobles think? The Saintess is supposed to be a hero of the land, and the Emperor has a heart filled with greed that desires to keep her to himself? There would be enormous outrage and push back. The High Church would be more likely to incite a rebellion before they allowed the literal savior and figurehead of their church who has been missing for over a century to be held hostage

The Emperor is just holding court with tons of his ministers and maybe even some priests connected with the church are there when Readsr just barges in with a piece of paper where she's spent the last week combing through the royal library and researching old texts and laws and found several established precedents that entitle her to divorce, such as an old law that since the happiness and mental health of the Saintess are extremely critical to her role and ability to do her job that should something be causing her significant distress that it must be handled or left up to her discretion. Well she hates this busted ass one sided marriage with a stone wall of a man she spent years worrying about and wasting her energy on and she snarkily smirkingly tells him to his face that it's over, he can't do anything

Reader who before falling in had barely made any eye contact with the Emperor let alone smile is now viciously taunting him to his face that she can divorce him and he can't do anything, she can even leave the palace so she chooses to, he can't do anything to stop her, she finally has the personal freedom she's wanted her entire life. No one can tell her how to act anymore, how to speak anymore, she's just laughing and twirling and dancing to mock him and mock everyone who has tried to contain her and the Emperor has never loved you more than seeing how happy and free you look in this moment so OF COURSE he's like NO 🥺 B BUT WE'RE MAN AND WIFE 🥺 I KNOW I WASNT THE MOST FORTHCOMING BUT YOU CANT DIVORCE ME and I imagine he even tries to find laws that overturn the legal precedent, maybe even tries, outright disobey the laws entirely and says "fuck that I'm the current Emperor, new law, that one law is bullshit and we don't have to follow it"

I do like the thought of Saintess Reader getting to flaunt her girlboss power and be free of him for a while and get to do her own thing and maybe travel the country doing her Saintess duties while he gets like max mental illness level obsessive and desperate to the point he's literally dragging her back even if she's kicking and screaming. Who knows maybe she can even get some new dick while she's out of the house, as a treat

anyways I'm caffeinated so I'm going to make a headcanon post for some songs i like for kakash & how they apply

california dreamin' //I've always hc'd that the idea of leaving Konoha is something Kakashi had hanging over his head for a long time after Minato died. Though it wasn't a logical train of thought & he knew it wasn't realistic, it's still an idea he never quite shakes. the weight of his losses during the war was suffocating & it seemed to follow him everywhere. but it's not something he can do. he knows that, he knows that everyone he loves who's died has died for Konoha. he knows that Konoha made him. even if he tried to leave, they would hunt him for the rest of his life. he's never known anything else & he's not sure he ever could. Of course when he connects with team 7, it all changes. they provide a new sort of faith he thought he had lost, they show a glimmer of light for the future. just because it was dark before does not mean it will always be. slowly they renew his perception of the world, each of his students in their own way. They drive him to believe in the spirit of fire again. People keep dying for the village because it's worth protecting, they just saw something he didn't for a long time.

time // unpopular opinion: this is one of my favorite songs for Kakashi. i feel like it has this dissociative feel that represents how the years pass after Obito, Rin & eventually Minato die. he falls into a routine of bloodshed & isolation & time seems to pass faster than what he can perceive. when he's young he keeps thinking it might get better, that tomorrow might fix things. then a decade passes & he feels the same, if not worse. it feels like he's chasing sunrises when they can't do anything but bring the next day, if that makes sense? for a long time, he expects things to just get better because he doesn't understand how to make things better. it also definitely applies to the years slipping through his fingers after his father dies. He was so young & spent so much time on his studies that he didn't necessarily give himself the chance to mature emotionally? Like eventually he does figure it out but he's put into very adult situations as a child & though he makes it work, the trauma sort of blinds him as to where he needs to go next? internally, at least. it leaves him arrogant by the time he becomes a jounin because he never grew past that. It blinds him, it stunts him until it's too late.

saint bernard // oh shit this one could be a post on it's own. This song, again, has the heavy/dissociative feeling that i associate with Kakashi. But I like to think that this song applies to Kakashi right before he find team 7. It's when he's coming to terms with the fact that his upbringing has fried his emotions. He's seeing things a little more clearly, though it's not an optimistic perception. But he's slowly learning to love himself & others, despite his mistakes. team 7 is showing him something he hasn't seen in a long time. They're more than human weapons, they have hopes & dreams beyond the bloodshed he was bred for. They were all bred for. At that point in his timeline, he still thinks they're all replaceable ( himself included ) but they give him a little more faith. they're showing him a new way, separate from what he had always known.

i don't trust u anymore // a) trans anthem b) when kakashi joins anbu he really starts to open his eyes to how the world works. He's always had an idea, he's always accepted that the shinobi world was dark & terrible & bloody... but to be the one committing those atrocities? it changes things. there's a steady change in his perception that shifts from ' i want to follow orders ' to ' i have to follow orders'. also lowkey i feel like this applies to Kakashi being trans & being accepted by his higher-ups because of his level of power & efficiency... but then he see's other trans folks being discriminated against? I want to write another post on this song as well as that situation.

be nice to me // this applies to Kakashi during the events of og naruto where he's changing every aspect of how he views the world. his perception of the world is totally twisted around during this time. the line ' there is very little left of me & it's never coming back ' really screams to me in this song because the person he was is gone. he's changing day by day & he doesn't owe it to anyone to be the person he used to be... & the people around him are changing too. it's the first time in a long time he feels like he's growing with his friends & comrades. they don't have to be the people they were, they aren't soldiers anymore.

home // so ( another) trans anthem of course of course. however i think this song really applies to how he perceives himself & the relationships around him. I feel like he has a lot of little intimate moments with himself where he thinks about the person he is, who he's become & how that's affected the relationships in his life. He cut off a lot of people for a really long time & it leaves him feeling really disconnected & afraid of how they perceive him. plus another way that this applies is i don't really think??? many people know that he is trans. i don't think it's something that a lot of trans people put out there in the shinobi world & it leaves him feeling this disconnect with people because he doesn't feel like they know him & the thought of them knowing him makes him feel physically ill?? if that makes sense. I'll make a whole post on gender & what it means to him immediately but he struggles hard with dysphoria as well as dysmorphia growing up, but there's a really beautiful journey of him settling into his skin here. i definitely think that conversation deserves it's own post though.

wild world // i really think that this song applies more to og naruto - naruto shippudden kakashi. this is really about him coming to terms with the fact that not everything is gonna be good & that's okay. he's lost people & will continue to do so & though it will never stop hurting... he'll always have them in how he remembers them. He carries them with him & that shouldn't shut him off to the next person. Naruto especially shows him that..If they leave him, if they die, if he never see's them again... it's going to hurt, but what can it be but okay?

i’m 18 & in my last year of school rn, i know i wont graduate any time soon bc my teachers are being so damn unfair w my grades, like not giving me important points for my grade that i would technically deserve..i do my homework, participate in class, send in essays, present presentations & my exams are also within the average but when it comes to confronting my teachers on why, they’ll just tell me that i need to participate more, that they LiKe me [so fake] & i really just need to see this as a mOtIvATiOn for the next semester but like?? how is that a motivation?? i’m literally already trying my best but it’s so discouraging to not see the results i worked my ass off for, especially when they’re doing this every. single. time., i’m not trying to be disrespectful, really, but i don’t need them to 'like' me or give me my points when they feel like it, i need the points now so that the principal can give me permission to even sit the exams for my graduation & not even giving me valid reasons or examples on how do i could do better? idek what to do atp i just feel like screaming & throwing up, my whole revolves around school and i just want to be done w it already to study something i’m actually passionate about but i obviously can’t do that if i’m not graduating so..yeah it’s just a mess idk maybe it’s just all in my head & the only thing i need is a reality check but i thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask, you honestly became my role model in a way, you’re a genius and manage to write these masterpieces along studying psych so hopefully i’ll be like you one day does that sound weird??

i think the best thing you can do here is going to your counselor and let them know what's up because most times when you have these intuitions, it's correct. if anything, you can just try to get a second opinion, especially from someone else who's supposed to help and guide you (besides your teachers). if you find that they can't help you, you should definitely tell your parents and have them advocate for you because education is important and i would love to get news on you being able to graduate this year. luckily it isn't too late yet, i'm sure you've still got time to improve on whatever it is you've got to do in order to finalize your graduation.

if your parents can't get through to your teachers and if your guidance counselor is unable to help, get an appointment with your principal (along with your parents because that pressure will help them actually make a move with the authority of your parents) and ask them what's up and how you can help your own self because clearly these teachers aren't doing much.

eventually, and hopefully, the teachers will understand that you're actually serious about this because clearly they aren't taking you seriously. you shouldn't have to worry on your own about this, bub, you're still young and the adults around you should be helping you rather than being the reason to your stress (though i know that can definitely get difficult and complicated).

just try to find other options that will help you get through to your teachers. someone will have to eventually step up and take you seriously

I think the most evil plotline I'll ever write is in Illicit Affairs, the arc in the clone wars when Obi-Wan fakes his death. He tries to give Rhea a heads up but the message doesn't quite come across. She doesn't feel him die when it happens, so she's effectively on her knees screaming that he's not dead with Anakin and Ahsoka both trying to pull her off as the council go to take the body.

Prior to this I'll have the season 2 arc with Mandalore, except Obi-Wan does everything in his power to keep his wife from finding out he's been assigned to see Satine since she knows enough to put together that it was her he was in love with and he doesn't want to cause an argument or upset her. It's a well intentioned but very bad mistake. Nothing happens between them but it's enough Anakin keys into the history along with Padmé.

So she's at Obi-Wan's funeral, having been literally sedated to get her there without a single care about what the council knows, and then Satine is there. It's going to be at her husbands funeral she finds out he'd lied to her and had seen Satine without her knowing. She shelves that considering he's dead, and her and Anakin decide to get revenge no matter the cost. To the point the council has to call Padmé in to intervene.

The council's lowkey always known about them, but at that point it's no longer a look the other way and pretend we don't kind of thing when she's that out of her mind. Eventually her and Anakin track down Obi-Wan when he's disguised as the bounty hunter and it's only when Rhea's about to murder him he slips up and escapes with her realising what he's done. At this point her and Anakin are partners in crime and are horrified and in complete disblief, trauma bonded to the max.

"I can't believe he never told you," Anakin says, that being the one thing I can't believe either. "I'm his padawan, he doesn't tell me anything. But you're his wife."

Hell she's even got Yoda apologising to her once he's realised he has the chosen one and count dooku's former apprentice about to commit murder together and drops the fact that he knew all along about her and Obi-Wan while Anakin keeps his mouth properly shut and his head down.

She's always had a bit of a vengeful streak in her, and she's just saw her husband die, thinks he might have cheated on her (he's innocent but still lied), and now he's suddenly alive and has lied to her to protect palpatine.

Knowing damn well Obi-Wan's in the room she walks into the warehouse on Naboo where Dooku's plotting and swears herself as his apprentice again (she doesn't even know if it's a lie or not at that point) just to hurt Obi-wan a fraction as much as he's hurt her. She is out for pure blood at that point. She's plotting Palpatine's assassination with Dooku and committing treason against the order and the republic right in front of Obi-Wan whose still in disguise and at that point the only thing stopped her from returning to dooku is the fact he tried to kill Padmé because she is just that done with the jedi by that point.

So when she tracks down Obi-Wan the next day when he's in that watch tower she lets all hell fly loose, but still keeps the Satine thing shelved for now (partly because she was that drugged up at the funeral she's still processing if that interaction was even real). And the fact that the whole plot was to protect palpatine, the person she hates more than anyone in the galaxy... she would trump anakin on his worst day, well except for his last one. She's torn between wanting to break down and cry with relief because he's alive and putting him back in that coffin herself. They'll eventually make it up enough to complete the mission, but when Obi-Wan confesses about Satina in the midst of Maul returning that will be the last straw.

He's going to accidentally both drag Padmé and Anakin into it with the "It was innocent, nothing but professional, Padmé even saw us in the senate you can ask her" and finding out Padmé and Anakin had also known and not told her... she's going to take off and they won't work things out for quite a long time.

I've written a lot of angst, but this arc is the worst of it. I'd written it a year and a half ago, then decided to rewrite the story so it was less insta-love and followed canon better. So... that will be a fun one to write again

I've been thinking about how to me decode talker and firewall dragon look better when paired with yusaku instead of playmaker but their "evolved" forms darkfluid and accesscode talker match playmaker much better mostly because of darkfluids green on black design and accesscodes yellow on black sharp design (oh look there's purple on there too it seems like pm can't escape being paired with purple I wonder why . . . )

Also on the topic of monster cards I think it's neat how salamangreat is written in kanji just like how flames name is written!! It's very cute and if my memory serves me right there's just not a lot of vrains archetypes which do that (of course I could be wrong but I'll have to rewatch vrains to be certain) also fun fact "true" salamangreat monsters have kanji but salamangreat of fire is written purely in katakana possibly as a nod to its origins as an @ignister monster

I didn't dare write this until the day was about to end because you know what it's like throughout our history on this date.

I mean, bad luck is kinda one of our features, right? "Moe point", we called it? 业障君 is the half-affectionate-half-derogatory name we forced on Fionn before lowkey blaming him for all that bad luck, even though he hadn't done anything?

And usually, around this date, dreadful things just happened. To be fair, they happened on every other day, and quite frequently too growing up, but when it happened on this date... older versions of us just felt personal. Stuff kept being thrown and broken, and people shouted at each other, and then eventually it ended with you. Remember what they shouted at you? I remember all of these as semantic memory, but Fionn remembers them as episodic memory. Of course! We made him tank every dreadful thing. He's the only one kind enough.

Even this year, something still broke, haha! But this time, it was by me! My rubber-gloved hands slipped while doing the dishes, I broke the glass bowl while trying to rescue it, and ke-raaack! I accidentally crunched it. The combined force of its falling momentum and my poor muscle control did it! And then the shard stabbed through my palm. If you look at the left one and find a gash under the longer, older, also-by-glass scar, oops! That'd be me! September 2023 Lyndis! Not to worry. As always, we healed very quickly. The wound closed in minutes, but the ruptured capillaries needed a bit more time. Nonetheless, it didn't hurt during the shower! That's the best cause' you know how sensitive we are to pain! Fionn is the best at weathering through that, though.

I know why we're kinda afraid of this date. It feels right for everyone else to celebrate theirs because it always feels like everyone else deserves to be here. I don't think I do, though. It's not like I have managed to shore up concrete proof of my contributions and achievements to counter my "but do I reaaaaally deserve to be here" argument. 'Cause I haven't done anything! No. I'm not closer to being a scientist or researcher, even though the past version of us discovered that this is what we actually would love to be. Let alone the whole education reformation plan; the one our sleepy-ass country needs. Or even the "become Prime Minister" plan to spite everyone who said you can't be an ethical civil servant. Nah, I have to report that we're no closer to any of those.

Oh! Nothing happened today. It's indistinguishable from other days. Isn't that great?! I had to work overtime a bit to reach the weekly quota though, because I'm going to that archery range tomorrow with Lyishere. I bet she's still our best friend by your time. Oh! There are reasons why we had to work overtime, heh heh! I wrote a long essay on Tuesday about silver-white-haired characters and stuff (yes, it's related to To Your Eternity in the end. Oh man, you must have known the ending already, right?! Did any of my hypotheses get falsified or confirmed? Oh, what about the ones made by my immediate predecessors?! What about Fionn's?!). Then, today, I wrote ANOTHER essay on YouTube, even though unlike 2019 and 2020 Lyndis, I rarely comment on things and usually just read them. But can you blame me? I think people have misunderstood one of Jujutsu Kaisen's themes! And that extended to misunderstanding Gojo too. I'm gonna copy the essay here as a record one of these days.

Anyway, I think it's very Lyndis to do this. I oddly adore how I wasted my time rambling instead of slaving away on a trashy-fuck project with zero literary merits, even though the latter gives me money. It's fitting of Lyndis as a person to compulsively analyze things and connect them to other things Lyndis has collected. It's probably one of the qualities all of us mains, past and present, share without fault. It's a pretty consistent trait of Lyndis.

It's hard to feel like I deserve to have a date like this. I feel like a ghost a lot of times, like the rest of Them, even though I'm the one with the body. Ghosts don't celebrate this; they failed the first quality, which is to be consistently alive till every anniversary. Overall, it can feel like we haven't earned the right to celebrate it even after 27 years, now 28. If we have, why do I consistently feel see-through, right? Why does it feel like I'm still not out here, with everyone else, and still trapped somewhere inside a 360-degree touchscreen depicting the outside world?

Or maybe! This is just how our brain feels. It's the one trapped in a black box being fed information and doling out information, even including embodied sensations and consciousness. Haha, how fun!

...But you know, even if we were ghosts, there's something quite indisputable: I know I'm alive because I'm embedded in a long, long chain of casual deterministic process that had begun since time. Whatever I do, no matter how insignificant and trivial, creates effects. And whenever I'm experiencing an effect, or am acting as an effect, or being the effect--it is caused. When I breathe in, I can sense it. When I breathe out, I can sense that too. And the effects of these actions are both immediate and ever-propagating. When I lift my finger it's because something made me want to lift it--my brain, physical objects, a thought, an aversion to it being clamped within the crack of the door.

I don't exist outside this deterministic world. I don't have free will; everything I do is caused, and everything I do will cause effects. Do you know what that means?

It means I'm not a ghost at all! Because even a meager breath of mine adds more carbon dioxide and water vapor and takes away more oxygen from the air. Ghosts can't do that. They cannot affect. They cannot be caused, either.

Which means regardless of how I feel, I'm definitely real. Like these physical beings who deserve to be here. And if I'm here, then everyone else is also here, because they are part of me. It's our date, see?

So... well, it sounds really weird saying it, but... happy birthday to you!
