#just saw someone say ‘this book is so cishetmormative 😒’ about what was basically a biography of a cishet woman….#people are allowed to write about their own experiences even if they’re not ‘diverse enough’ actually#also like the boom was about women and it talked a lot about childbirth/nursing bc the author has 4 kids#but never did she say that motherhood was like an essential part of womanhood or that all woman can relate etc#she was just talking about how *her* experience of womanhood is tied with motherhood because she spent a decade being pregnant/nursing#idk I really loved it and I’ve seen so many people raging because it wasn’t what they thought it was which… isn’t the books fault#or saying it’s exclusionary of trans women but like the only aspects of womanhood she speaks about like they are universal#are being erased from history/only talked about via relationship to men#which is in fact something trans women experience#idk I need to stop reading reviews for things I like I just end up angry
