playing tales of arise to try and distract myself and oh my god this is pathetic. in the second fucking half of the game there’s a side quest to learn more about the villains from the first act and god. it really feels like the writers woke up in a cold sweat and realised they forgot to give their antagonists (or characters in general for that matter cough cough) any screen time or unique personality. AND EVEN THEN IT’S ONLY LIKE 4 LINES FROM RANDOM NPCS AT BEST??? BALLSACK DEEPLY CARED FOR HIS HOUSE AND ITS MEMBERS?? YEAH?? HOW ABOUT. SHOWING THAT ON SCREEN. no? because then you’d have to put effort into the writing of this whole thing?? ah ok got it my bad fam 👌
