thinking about the cervenak-kovacs family going bowling in these trying times

they don't use the little guardrail things bc the littlest ones wanna be seen as adults, so art n bella are just bowling repeated gutter balls & having a mini contest over whose ball can get the closest to the pins (before ending up in the gutter) & then getting into an extended argument about who won because it is incredibly subjective and both of them are absolutely lying about how far their ball got.

ezra COULD bowl a perfect game but he doesn't want to <3 so he plays Suspiciously Average

stacey is infuriated by the fact that none of her siblings are giving her any serious competition and is repeatedly desperately trying to get someone/anyone/everyone to agree that putting the little guardrail things back would be A Good Idea, Actually. when this doesn't work she settles for trying to beat jenny.

jenny is trying so hard to let the kids win but she just does not have it in her to do things badly so she is semi-accidentally demolishing everybody. she feels SOME level of guilt but also: she just got four strikes in a row AND her baby thinks she's incredibly cool and good at bowling (which she is). SO.

giles is just watching jenny because he thinks it's funny. and also trying to avoid bowling himself.

donovan is doing the exact same thing that ezra is doing, except a little more subtly.

nora has been barred from playing in all colorado bowling establishments :) she IS allowed to sit and watch, though. it's fun.
