you know what i haven’t seen anyone mention. it’s probably safe to say that joel never particularly cared about celebrating his birthday based on how he treated it pre-breakout but he must super fucking hate it now… like Thee Last Day he ever saw sarah alive was his birthday!!! and he was late getting home to see her!!! and then she’s dead less than 12 hrs later??? cruel, terrible, heartbreaking, im ready to suck start a shotgun thinking about it. every year!!! every year he has to remember that it was the last day he ever saw her
