She was growing tired of the politics. Day in and day out, over and over again, all she was dealing with was politics. And now, all she seemed to be able to leverage was her Spectre status and nothing more; out here, even her status as a former—if you could call it that—Alliance soldier held little to no weight. She was thankful the Council had reinstated her Spectre status; if she’d lost that, then she’d have been screwed.

But at least, despite her awkward situation with the Alliance, she was still the Hero of Elysium. That much hadn’t changed; and that was a status that, even if it was tied to the Alliance, people would still respect. Someone on shore leave, unarmoured and with nothing more than a pistol and her biotics to defend herself, had managed to hold off a flank all on her own. It was a hell of a feat… and at least, dealing with the bureaucracy she was now, it was coming in handy.

Alisa couldn’t help but roll her eyes as, much to her chagrin, Eron was poking fun at her—again. “I never asked to be famous,” she clarified, huffing as she turned back in the direction of the ship. “Not that I’m saying I didn’t earn it and that I’m not going to use it to our advantage to get done what needs to get done, but… I never asked for it.” Of course, recipients of the Star of Terra were rare at best, and she was one of the only living ones… throw on top of that the Palladium Star for their actions saving the Citadel two years ago, and she was a well-decorated hero.

It was almost a routine at this point, to turn around at every corner and come unto an officer treating the mundane task of bureaucracy with absolute contempt. Desperate to leave, but tolerant enough to stay for the pay. He watched the exchange play out, keeping his voice low despite the amusement, "Well, I guess it's good having somebody famous with us. I wouldn't wanna do any of the talking."
