Not the fun, charming kind of disaster you could laugh about later. No, you were the barely-holding-it-together-by-frayed-threads kind, the walking embodiment of every burnout meme that Apollo’s cabin should’ve just printed onto T-shirts.

Because somehow—somehow—you’d said yes to tutoring the younger campers, helping design the obstacle course for Capture the Flag, running late-night healing sessions after a rough round of monster attacks, and leading the Apollo Cabin morning exercises.

All in the same week.

Genius.

You hadn’t slept more than three hours a night. Your powers were flickering like a dying lightbulb. And you were running purely on stubbornness, half-melted ambrosia squares, and iced coffee stolen from the Aphrodite cabin’s “secret” stash.

It wasn’t sustainable. Everyone saw it. You saw it.

You just didn’t care.

At least, you didn’t—right up until the moment you collapsed face-first into the dinner table at the pavilion.

It wasn’t graceful. It wasn’t dignified.

One second you were sitting there, trying to eat soup with a hand that kept trembling, and the next you were out cold, forehead planted into a slice of garlic bread.

The entire pavilion went dead silent.

Jason Grace, bless his hero complex, was at your side in two seconds flat.

“Hey—hey, sweetheart,” he said, voice low and steady in that way that made people listen. He slid an arm under your shoulders, trying to ease you upright without jostling you too much. “C’mon. Wake up.”

You groaned incoherently, blinking up at him with the bleary, pitiful confusion of someone who legitimately forgot what century it was.

Jason’s mouth tightened into a line. That little crease appeared between his brows—the one he only got when he was really, truly worried.

“You’re done,” he said, decisively. No argument, no debate. “I’m taking you back to the cabin.”

You tried to mumble something about not being finished with your soup, which honestly just made him look even more exasperated.

“Forget the soup,” he said, already gathering you into his arms like you weighed nothing. “You’re lucky you didn’t pass out onto a skewer.”

(You were too far gone to correct him that it had been garlic bread, not a skewer. Also, you kind of liked being carried.)

Jason didn’t dump you onto your bunk and call it a day, though.

No, he went full Captain America: Concerned Boyfriend Edition.

First, he made you drink water. (“Small sips. Small. You’re not dying on my watch.”)

Then, he peeled off your shoes and tucked you into bed like you were made of glass. Pulled the blankets up to your chin. Smoothed your hair back from your forehead with a gentleness that made your chest ache.

You blinked up at him, groggy and overwhelmed and stupidly emotional.

“You don’t have to—” you started, but he shushed you instantly.

“Yes, I do,” Jason said. His voice was soft but firm, the kind of voice that didn't leave any room for arguing. “You’ve been doing everything for everyone else. Let someone take care of you for once.”

You hated how much that got to you.

Something raw and helpless twisted in your chest, and before you could stop yourself, you reached out—grabbing a fistful of the front of his hoodie like you needed to anchor yourself.

Jason just smiled, all soft edges and boyish affection, and sat down on the edge of your bed without a word.

He stayed.

He stayed while you drifted in and out of sleep, mumbling nonsense. He stayed when you startled awake an hour later, shaky and disoriented, and pressed a cold water bottle into your hand. He stayed while you curled instinctively toward the warmth of him, eyes barely open, breathing a little easier just because he was there.

At some point, you felt him brush a feather-light kiss to your temple.

“You’re allowed to rest, y’know,” he whispered, like it was a secret meant only for you. “The world’s not gonna fall apart if you stop holding it up for five minutes.”

You wanted to argue. You always wanted to argue. But for once, you didn’t have the energy—and maybe that was a blessing.

So you just nodded weakly against his chest, heart slowing, body sinking deeper into the mattress.

Safe. Warm. Finally letting someone else carry the weight for once.

Jason's arms tightened around you, steady and sure.

And for the first time in what felt like forever, you let yourself fall asleep without a single thing left on your to-do list.

Not a healer.

Just a girl who loved a boy who refused to let her burn herself out alone.

Since i am I am a person who impulsively saves a lot of pictures and screenshot and videos and art to my phone's photo gallery (only for me to look at, not spreading it anywhere else), there is one habit that I picked up from when I used to have a lot of worse days, but now is basically a daily ritual. And it's that, before going to sleep, I will enter that photo gallery and choose one picture (or video) from it

It can be anything, depending on how I'm feeling, but it's always some image that either makes me smile or motivates / inspires me. It can be a picture of me / my family / my friends, but it can also be a meme, a screenshot of my chat with someone or a nice comment under something I made. It can be an edit of a character I obsess over, a fanart I really really love, a screenshot of a fragment from a fanfic that was so iconic I had to keep it. I promise you one time it was a drawing that was just 3 stickmen characters with 2 dialogue lines that made me laugh so hard it is still my favourite fanart ever for that fandom

And what I do is I leave the picture in full display and then I turn off the phone and go to sleep. So that the next day, after I wake up and eventually reach for my phone to unlock it, the first thing I see is this exact picture

That way, I can remember something from the day before that made me happy, was funny, moved me, inspired something. And even if the day before was bad, I am reminded that at the end of it I can always find something that somehow can make me feel nice. That there's always things and people that make me happy out there. That even the bad times can end on a smile – maybe a strained, small one, maybe a tear-filled one, maybe a nostalgic one – but a smile nonetheless

And I don't know, somehow that used to keep me going when I felt tired and unmotivated. And now it's just a happy note to start the day with to get motivation and a reminder that at the end of the day there's always something nice waiting for me

Im sharing this rly just a thank you to all the people out there who make lovely and funny and interesting things and are kind and having fun and sharing it all with the world. Something you made or said just might've one time been a picture (or video) that I had displayed on my screen one of those days that made me happy. You might have just been my smile after a tiring day, and I love you. And I love you even if it wasn't you yet

My point is. Whether it's something simple and short and you spent 2 minutes on it, or something you worked on for so long and put so much effort and thought into – your passion and kindness don't go unnoticed. Keep doing your things and sharing what makes you happy because I promise you there's people out there who are happy because of it too. Even if it's one person

(and i'm not sure if os2 counts but i would most def change ep3 of the crossover where they are just getting lost and screaming each others' names again and again sksksks)

It was really nice to read Hollow Mind after you mentioned it in an ask I think, Id love to know about 3, 23 and 27 and if possible (it wasnt exactly in the suggestions I think) what fandoms do you write for and whether you write original work too? I really love your writing style!! In ataimw you capture Raph‘s and Leo‘s arguments so well, it seems so natural as in this is what would for real happen in that situation and that makes reading it a whole lot more fun and engaging

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

Hm. All the ashes in my wake, definitely! It's been a whole lot of fun writing it and it's also been pretty surprising! I wasn't expecting to have so many ideas or explore Leo's relationships with his family (and Casey) in detail, I was really expecting to mostly only focus on his and Raph’s. I set the fic after season 2 because to me that would be the best time to set a fic where Leo gets cursed and no one realizing for a while (because they just moved and because so many things happened all at once and they'd definitely take some time to adjust. Also because I didn't see enough fics focusing on how it must’ve felt like to literally have your entirely home destroyed to the point where there's probably very little they could've salvaged :(( like idk they probably spent most of their lives in that lair! It would've definitely been a bad emotional hit)

23. Did you do any collaborative works this year?

I did one! It was a round robin I did with some friends on discord. It was actually my very first time doing a round robin!

27. What do you listen to while writing?

I have a playlist of musical scores and classical music I like to listen to when I write (because I need constant background noise but if it has words its gonna distract me). When I edit i usually put on any playlist, sometimes my fic playlist.

easiest: feng xin (bc he's just so fun to write!! my fav himbo who has some of the funniest lines!! i love writing endless swearing and humour in his pov 😭), han sooyoung from orv (im not sure why maybe bc she's an aries queen and in some ways she's so straightforward and unadulterated and i love her brash anger), and ive not had a chance to write fang duobing's pov yet but i feel like he'd be easy for me to write bc i love writing enfps, writing them comes very easily to me<3

23. If you had to remix one of your own fics, which would it be and how would you remix it?

im not sure what exactly defines "remix" but if this counts, i want to rewrite my hualian fake dating au AKSJDBSHD i want to set in older than college age, outside of the college setting, and fix some of the messiness and make the scenes and timelines more cohesive 😭😭 (but that's more just editing than remixing aksjdb)

also, if i ever get the time to, id definitely want to do a remix(?) or other version of my fic of hua cheng's pov of canon scenes, bc with the new scenes and changes to the revised i want to update my fic too. with the new scenes but also with different hua cheng intentions bc the revised implies that hua cheng had intended to court xl from the start and i would like to change my interpretation in my already written fic too ksksndb

i also think it would be fun to remix any of my fenglian fics with different ways for the fenglian friend breakup or fenglian reconciliation to go bc there's really so many ways!

(tennis players often come from wealth, much like f1 drivers — they can also be sponsored, sometimes by their country, but usually only if & while they're successful!!)

if you do well, you start to win, maybe you make money, more likely you're breaking even for a while (or even still losing). if you do REALLY well, then you're looking at more prize money and maybe sponsors, so then you can start making some real money out of this. but yeah it's CRAaaaaaazy how much money tennis players pay to play tennis lol!! it is 10000% a problem for getting underprivileged kids into tennis, there's a reason tennis is so white!

to anyone genuinely asking if this is real: no im sorry to disappoint i edited this for the bit. to anyone asking how i pulled this off so quickly: i actually procrastinated on this most the day then used some spare 15 mins. anyways im bored so im gonna teach you how to make your own boop o meter memes!

STEP 1: screenshot the boop-o-meter! im using windows' old snip tool lol

STEP 2: clean up! i'm using photoshop's spot healingg tool but you can just paint it over or use the clone stamp or whatever works for you

STEP 3: i hopped onto after effects and made a composition THE SIZE OF MY BOOP-O-METER. i set it to 12 fps because i felt it gave it some sort of crappy low quality effect that i felt was fitting (plus i wanted to make the gif as light as possible)

STEP 4: I added both the clear and normal version and animated the opacity of the clear meter with keyframes set on hold so that it flickered on and off.

STEP 5: went on youtube and searched up "never gonna give you up greenscreen". any of these will do

I then of course placed it on my comp on top of the boop-o-meter

STEP 6: to get rid of the greenscreen, i applied the keylight effect. it's quite straightforward: you go to screencolor, eyedrop the greenscreen color and you have a perfectly transparent rick astley!

STEP 7: i added the following effects:

-black and white: self explanatory, makes the image monochrome. i left the settings as is

-posterize: makes it so it deals in absolutes. lcd screens like the one the boop-o-meter imitates only had 2 settings: on and off. black or white. no grays. setting posterization to 2 levels does the same.

-mosaic: pixels!! play around with the numbers according to the size of your composition.TURN SHARP COLORS ON, otherwise it defeats the purpose of the posterize effect.

STEP 8: from the timeline, i changed the layer mode of the video to multiply and set the opacity to around 60% to simulate the boop-o-meter's style

I also noticed that the pixels were ever so slightly warm toned, so i used lumetri to better match it. this is a completely skippable step, im just insufferable like that

STEP 9: Lastly, i used the pen tool to create a mask in the shape of the screen

and that's pretty much it! then i went to composition > add to render queue and exported! these were my particular settings,

i used avi and rgb + alpha because i wanted to keep the transparency of my boop-o-meter. this is just extra. you can definitely leave it on H.264 and RGB as it comes by default.

STEP 10: we're technically done, but if you want to turn the video you just made into a gif, just open it on photoshop, go to file > export > save for web, and save it as a gif. these were my particular settings but u can play around w these

And there you go! thats's how i wasted my years of graphic and multimedial formal studies on a rickroll meme.

If you don't wanna do all that, here's the after effects file so that you can replace the rick roll with anything, such as doom, bad apple, the destiel confession, etcetera

The Phoenix Effect is kinda an extension of that. Its basically the same thing but adds the cass apocalypse series into it. Basically how future Ame being there also changes things and how oopies mystics powers are hard to control after being half dead in stasis for about 12 years hope Ame does trys to leave to protect everyone from himself only to get kidnapped putting everyone in worse danger also oopies isnt that the super dangerous alien someone accidentally freed awhile ago

Watcher - *slaps religious trauma onto them* bitch gets sacrificed. Okay okay so Watcher, wasnt always Watcher. Before they used to be Ena a simple kid who was sent away for reasons i havent thought of yet to a church. Blah blah corruption, Watcher gets sacrificed for not falling in line blah blah they were saved and given a second chance.

Dimension - *slaps alot of anxiety and identity issues onto her* bitch got issues. Same as Watcher, Dimension wasnt always Dimension. Before she was Ellie a poor girl hated by her whole town because of the lies their mother spread about them and their father who had left years ago. She only had one friend, Watcher. Somehow they managed to make contact with each other despite being in different universes. Eventually Dimension snapped and went on a killing spree, slowly ripping apart her world in the process because this wasnt supposed to happen (think spiderverse canon events but different ill explain later) with her world crumbling around her, Dimension messages Ena one last time, not knowing Ena was already long gone, and accepts what they assume to be death only to fall into whats basically the anti void from utmv, gets corrupted and became a villain technically more of a multiversal criminal.

How does what happened to Dimension's universe work? The way i explained it is like spiderverse canon events but different, but heres the details. Idk how to explain this but bare with me

Imagine each universe as a game in a folder on a computer. Each game has different code, story, art assets basically all are mostly different.

Most games are coded to have very specific story events and when something goes wrong everything breaks. Like take a spaghetti thing of code that shatters the moment you try to do something like trying to talk with an npc while having a status effect and thats how some of these worlds are like. And Dimension's was very much one of those worlds, and her breaking down like that shattered the code of their world and everything fell apart.

Im too tired to continue but my main multiverse is like one big computer own by a game creator who only sometimes knows how to make a stable game

around in 2018, july, when i was on vacation...i was... NOT WELL! MENTALLY! AT ALL! LOWKEY DEPRESSED AS SHIT THERE! a lot of my uh.. past "drama" happened around that time, if you know what i mean. cough... and other than THOSE people i had... not many people to talk to so i said fuck it lets join a furry server! coz yknow im a Furry. (bad idea but whatever)

but WELL a few days BEFORE THAT i? randomly got hyperfixated on team skull/guzma during my general pokemon fixation? i changed my name to guzma for a joke and because i liked him a lot and some of my friends changed their name and icons to "grunt A" "grunt B" "grunt C" and so on. we memed around a bit and i kept this name - and then i joined the furry server. i began talking there a lot i mean i had literally almost 2k messages there in one day i did not leave the room we were staying at all i did that day was chat there and use the pokemon bot there.

thanks to these cool people i met... the name guzma just STUCK. without that server and without those people guzma wouldn't be solidified as my (at least online) name. and WELL. this was even before me accepting myself as trans and nonbinary so LMFAO.

and well i am not sure WHEN i joined the server but i spammed a bunch of team skull memes i stole from tumblr (i wasnt even active here?? im sure the acc i used back then is looong deleted also.) onto that discord server. that was july 17th. but im not sure if that was the date i set guzma as my name for the first time - just my brain rot starting. and i already had some icon edits by the 26th - so i began the inside joke around that time, i assume? not sure? which means i set my name that way there already? LIKE. BY THAT TIME I WAS ALSO DRAWING MYSELF IN GUZMA'S OUTFIT AND SUCH. LIKE. c'mon...

AND! OFFICIALLY BY THE 29TH!! I sent the icon i would use that i KNOW i used on the server a 100%. like when my name got solidified. wouldnt be it without it. so like.. i always say the day is the 29th even if i set the name guzma a while before that... its hard to SAY but i always just say that like... july/august is the Guzma Anniversary.
