Im back with another tsubasa li headcannon list y'all lets do this

Tsubasa has never been treated like a kid by sakura or syaoran bc they were, quite understandably, trying to prepare him for the clow country misshap for a measly 4 years (not counting his first three years, who would DO that to a baby?)

Bc of this he's been very deprived of. Well. Kiddie things.

He's also kind of a workaholic so much that Kurogane has to physically drag him from where he's working on something to rest, goddammit

Tsubasa does not get the concept of fun and only indulges in it bc it makes the ppl he loves happy. Does not know how to enjoy himself.

Fai is made painfully aware of this fact bc he catches tsubasa staring at a display of toys thoughtfully confused.

Tsubasa is always treated with amounts of childish fun and it makes the poor boy so confused. My bby needs knowledge.

Tsubasa has also spend an inordinate amount of time with feiwang that his perception of dates and time is a bit skewed. He ends up forgetting his birthday every time.

He's notably confused every time fai kurogane and mokona set a day for him specifically. Not that he doesnt appreciate it, but just. Why?

It takes a few years and a well times conversation with watanuki before he cottons in on the fact that they've been celebrating his birthday right from the getgo. He ends up sobbing quite spectacularly.

God bless watanuki's new found patience.

GUESS WHAT ITS AU TIME LET ME HAVE THIS YALL

so you all know how bc tsubasa, y'know, EXISTS and all, the time-space continnuum (how tf do i spell that?) Is all jacked up.

And like, im taking the multiverse branching out theory as reality here, meaning for every decision made there are like a million other decisions that deviate from the path of the tsubasa fam

Basically just homestuck timeline mentality for you hiatus veterans out there

So for some godforsaken reason on one of their travels, our tsubasa gang drops in on an alternate timeline in INFINITY of all places, directly in the path of a shopping sakura with the injure and a fai with the missing eye.

They end up booking it somehwere AWAY.

Fai laughs like a madman, the heathen.

But like he stops dead when tsubasa is in the middle of a panic attack.

Kuro and fai attempt to shush their bby while mokona flits around worriedly, keeping an eye out for others.

This is how alt fai and alt kuro finds them.

Kuro, our kuro, just says fuck it and carries fai like a sack of potatoes, carries tsubasa bridal style amd shoves the manjuu bun into his shirt and fucking BOOKS IT like the demon lord himself was on their toes

And considering the world theyve been in previously lets just say theyve had experience. Lots of it even. You would not believe the amount of worlds theyve been in that had them running for their goddamn lives. Heaven have mercy on their souls, bc fai and kuro are beginning to get gray hairs from trying to keep their kid out of danger.

All of it isnt even the kid's fault, for the most part he definitely just quietly listens to them obediently, gathering information essential to his main project. (After so many worlds they realize its not really worth the energy to keep throwing themselves in the middle of everything. As a wise young magician once told them, the world keeps spinning regardless of the impact they make or not.).

ANYWAY. They manage to get by sneaking aroud the alt versions of themselves by renting the apartment directly underneath. Ah, the wonders of hiding in plain sight. This plan was actually mokona's.

This decision was made because tsubasa pointed out that their alt selves would accurately predict what each of them were going to do, so leaving the plan to mokona would be very, VERY unpredictable.

(Alt fai recognizes his own magical signature anywhere, and the fact that this new group looks exactly like them and FEELS like his own group is VERY concerning.)
