tae's solo has been everything i wanted and more so far!!! i can't wait to see the rest of his album.

but a lot of the negativity is throwing me off and i feel like people sound so defeated way too early when his debut has just started. like is he not doing extremely well objectively? i do think when it comes to kcharts they could be better but i've also heard people say the kcharts heavily rely on gp, not fandom. so i'm not surprised with the charting since the songs were announced less than a week ago and have received practically no promo. but the songs have been steadily rising! a lot of people have also been upset about the youtube views, but i think lma did pretty well and rainy days was about on par with the other member's solo releases so i don't think it's super disappointing. and it's no secret that less "flashy" mvs get less views and considering the mvs are both more slow paced i think this is still good!! and let's not forget he was able to get #1 on itunes in all major music markets and dozens of other countries, and the songs were often blocking each other. and now for spotify he pulled almost 4 mil each. and these are bsides!!

and maybe i'm not as disappointed because i knew they were bsides and so i was ready for most people to treat them like bsides. im hoping there'll be more momentum for slow dancing since it's the title track, and by then hopefully there'll be more promo as well.

like i get why people are disappointed but when you consider the context, i think tae has done really well so far. and i think this negativity isn't good for anyone. now if we see similar energy towards slow dancing then i'll be angry but i think we just need to wait and see how things play out. it can only get better from here and im so excited for taehyung!!

i completely agree! the negativity won’t help anyone and in general terms WE DID WELL because we got like 14 hours for love me again mv and 48 hours for TWO bsides, and we know the fandom is kinda bad at multitasking so it’s not that shocking, also two bsides that got no teasers or anything so.

To be honest, i am disappointed in kcharts but at the same time not really because karmys really never stream, we hold them on such a high pedestal but they’ve been slacking off so much recently (past year) and it’s concerning, like at what point will they realize that we can’t be the only one streaming and that they should do their part? like BUGS is such an easy chart, but the numbers were disappointing there too.

spotify usa streams also disappointed me… 300k is a bit low and i understand the timezone, being busy and whatsover, but still. spotify global streams have been good in the end, i mean layover alr at 10M streams and it’s prior release too. i’m gonna hope we get some teasers and some hype for slow dancing, major playlisting and some good promotion so that we can aim to big numbers and maybe give taehyung a high debut on hot100 because thats what he truly deserves but we need to motivate eo and not bring eo down bc that just won’t help. so yeah stream and have fun! :)
