heyy I was wandering if I could have a valentine's day event for atla 👉👈
I go by she/her and I like all genders :)
I'm infp and my love language is words of affirmation.
In a partner I think I look for someone I feel safe to be myself around. Someone that I know is not gonna judge me and is loyal. I like the kind of people that can ground me to reality since I'm often a little out of touch with reality and miss out on the fun things but also understand when I need personal space. I'd also like someone who can make me laugh but can I also have serious conversations with :)
I am a head-in-the-clouds type of person. I'm usually very cheerful and bubbly, my friends call my 'sunshine' and 'morning child of the sun' because of my cheerful attitude but I'm not a morning person at all. I appreciate the little things like how green the trees look today and how the clouds look so nice and floofy. I get distracted by butterflies lol. I believe in a lot of conspiracy theories and things such as ghosts and cryptids and fairies. I'm terrible with human interaction but if I feel that I can be myself around you I will pour the depths of my soul to you. It goes from 0-100 in a minute. We go from I didn't know you yesterday to feeling like we've been friends for the past 5 years. I'm awkward and clumsy and I'll most likely infodump on you about things I like whether that be a king who died centuries ago or anything related to the disney parks (I've never been but I have a library of knowledge of things you can do and places to stay and eat etc including their history) I have an entire range of different topics I keep knowledge of in my brain.
My hobbies are singing, acting, I'm learning the guitar, and archery :D I also really love chess but no one plays with me :(
3 things I do on the daily are listen and sing show tunes (that's one, it happens at the same time), read, and consume chocolate in some shape or form whether that be chocolate milk or a cookie I must have some type of chocolate or I'll die.
I'll talk to you now :) how are you? I'm doing great :) What did you have for breakfast? I had some chocolate milk (hehe) and a fruit salad :) Did you drink any water today? You should. Go drink some now. Yeyy!!! Well, I hope you have a good day and sorry if this is too big, I tend to rant a lot heh 👉👈 anyway byeeee 💕💕✨✨😁😁
SADFLK YOU SOUND JUST LIKE ME 😭😭😭
i’m doing okay! i had two chocolate-covered biscuits today 😌 THEY WERE GREATTT!! i didnt drink too much water today, i’ll drink some right now!!
here’s your matchup...
Tumblr media
ZUKO!
Tumblr media
let’s be real, he needs someone like you in his life HAHSFDK- he’s totally in touch w/ reality YK THAT BEACH SCENE WHERE HE REMINDS EVERYONE THAT THEY SHOULD BE TRAINING INSTEAD OF HAVING FUN
Tumblr media
how he asked you out
-> The two of you were in Zuko’s bedroom, lounging around together and casually chatting. He was on his chair, while you were sitting on his bed.
“You’ve never been to the Disney parks?” he casually asked, and you shook your head. “Huh, thought you have, with all the info about them you’re always bursting out with.” You laughed, and he gave a small smile.
“I wish I’ve been,” you said, sighing as you plopped back onto his bed. The sheets smelled like him, which made you happy.
“Well, I have something for you,” he said, his face reflecting mischief. You quirked an eyebrow at him, and he went back into his closet. He came back with an envelope in his hands, and you eagerly hopped to stand next to him.
You grabbed the envelope, and opened it hesitantly. Inside it were two tickets to Disneyland.
“Shut up, shut up!” you yelled, your eyes beaming. His face showed an equal amount of happiness, and you pulled him into a hug. “Thank you! So much!”
“No problem,” he said, laughing. “These tickets are for Valentine’s Day, if you wanna go with me? Or you can totally give the other ticket to someone els-” You scoffed, and he stopped talking.
“Of course I want to go with you, I can’t wait!” He smiled, and you pulled him into another hug.
Tumblr media
how you spent the day together
-> “You ready?” Zuko’s voice asked, standing outside your door.
“Yup!” you said, dragging out your suitcase. You had two day’s worth of clothes and food, and you were ready to spend the day at Disneyland.
“Alright then,” he smiled as he grabbed your hand.
The flight to California was relatively chill; the two of you kept exchanging glances and bursting out into laughter at random moments. You and Zuko also talked the entire flight, joking around and chatting with one another. The other passengers definitely did not like it, but it made your heart swell.
Once you got there, you raced to every single ride you possibly could, grabbing Zuko’s arm and dragging him around. He laughed as you burst out with fun facts about everything you saw, and you smiled.
The night arrived faster than it should have; it seemed like the entire day went by in five minutes. Zuko looked at you with a large grin on his face.
“Did you have fun?” His eyes seemed to sparkle in the night, and your heart skipped a beat.
“Definitely,” you said, giving him a kiss on the lips.

CAKEY IM SO GLAD YOU LOVED THE LETTER I GOT SO SCARED HUOGHUGFHD BUT IM DOING OKAY, I HOPE UR DOING OKAY TOOO BUT THANK YOU FOR ALL OF UR SUPPORT. HERE’S SOME HEADCANONS I HOPE THEY OK
Warnings: nOTHING BUT BABIES
Tumblr media
Akita Toushirou
“My name is Akita, I’m so excited to-” “....” “....new sibling”
This Saniwa is adopted into Akita’s family now. Akita took one look at this kid and immediately claimed them. Ichi-nii eat your heart out, Akita is gonna do his best to be the bEST BIG BROTHER-
And then Akita and the saniwa take a nap together while bird watching and Ichi-nii is found cRYING
Akita is a sweetheart no doubt and while he doesn’t partake in war much as a blade, damn right he’s going to be protective as hell of this saniwa. As said before, Akita is going to try to be a good big brother since he’s like...several hundred years old by now? Catch him always holding hands with the saniwa, leading them around the citadel, excitedly enjoying the day with them!
His favorite thing to do with them (regardless of age) is just well, bird watching or cloud watching! He’ll pick a sunny patch of grass or help them climb up into a tree and just...look up at the sky with them! Stargazing counts too. Then they gotta scream for someone to help them get down. PlEASE HJELP
Hell yeah Akita will fucking stumble into the kid’s room to stay up late. They’ll probably conk the hell out while playing ANimal Crossing or something. He tries his best to stay up though! It’s not super healthy but like...he just wants to spend more time with his new sibling!
Akita can kinda cook? He more or less bakes with the rest of his siblings, expect him to always feed the lil saniwa first though. He cares for them a lot!
Akita also attempts to get stronger in order to protect them. He’s mostly a protective sword for nobles and being close to this new lil master like this makes him happy to be of use, no matter how much he can do!
Akita also looooves going out for a walk! He’ll always hold the Saniwa’s hand as they run around a forest or a mall and get lost beyond belief. Akita will try not to cry though, even though he’s scared as fUCK. He just loves having new adventures with them!
Can and will try to give them a piggy back ride.
Akita Toushirou is a sweet little kid, and having a saniwa that is a child will honestly help him feel at ease. He’ll do his best to be a good big brother, even if he and the saniwa are mentally rather young. He just wants to do his best and see the world along side them!
Gokotai
“I-I-I’m Gokotai...I’m so sorr-”
*Mew~!*
“....I-I think they like you...?”
Gokotai isn’t even a true Toushirou place, an artificial and yet part of the Toushirou family. Despite the rest of his brothers saying that they love him nonetheless, he still feels like he doesn’t belong. So when he meets this little master, a part of him is terrified that they will not like him. Gokotai already has pretty crippling self esteem so being around someone who has a similar mentality to him does help ease him a lil bit???? But his tigers like him and animals can tell shit like that.
So when his tigers trust the lil saniwa, Gokotai’s shoulders slump a little, letting out some breath he had not realized he was holding. He’s rather shy and quiet, hesitant to talk to the master and will just prefer sitting there in silence with them. Most likely reading a book together or chilling with the tigers.
Speaking of books, Gokotai adores picture books - stores with animals being his favorites. Momotaro is an example as it’s about a young boy who goes on a brave adventure with animal friends - but like in the Hanamaru anime, another book he loves is The Blue Bird of Happiness. He and the lil saniwa will just read it over and over, and then probably have a permanent like lil corner of this one library or bookstore they always visit. The people working there know their damn names by now and probs have snacks for them.
When it comes to the little tigers, I think Gokotai will adore it when the saniwa comes to visit - his tigers will run to them, and beg for their attention. They groom them together, pet them, play with them, honestly it’s so fucking cute. Please hug my lil son for me. Cuddle him and give him a foREHEADD KISSY
Gokotai will slowly become protective of the Saniwa as he becomes closer to them. Taking in the idea of Kiwame!Gokotai, when he comes back with the sole tiger, he promises to protect them better!
To quote Gokotai, “Master always looks straight into my eyes.” and those are the window to his soul. He shies away at first but as he and the lil saniwa become closer, he feels comforted by the fact they always look at him in the eyes, a sign of trust and that they care for him? I don’t know how to explain it but it’s kind of a zen state when you lock eyes with someone you trust and just...wordlessly pass on thoughts to each other.
It warms the heart of the Toushirou fam to see Gokotai open up like this. He is one of the more timid of the bunch because of his...ya know, general disposition and past. This saniwa now has the entire Awataguchi fam at their beck and call now, find them being carried by Ichi-nii
GOkotai’s tigers will love them~! Always pouncing on them to wake them up, big ol cuddles. Oh cuddling with Gokotai will be angelic, just...so much floofiness and warmth.
This leads to the fact the tigers will straight up do anything for them. Are they crying? Suddenly there’s 15 stolen blankets and several other Awataguchi family members at the door to ask what’s wrong. Are they hungry? KAsen is found screaming at the mess the tigers made as they bring a whole (half eaten) turkey to the saniwa. Gokotai ad the lil saniwa are watching a scary movie and it terrifies them? Well now they gotta buy a new tv because the tigers attacked it to defend them.
Seeing, the lil saniwa being best friends with Gokotai is like getting a new sibling plus 5 new lil pets. It’s just one big ol happy family man.
Kenshin Kagemitsu
“I’m Kenshin Kagemitsu! I do not wish to be taken li-”
“.....”
“I am big brother now”
See, Kenshin will jump at the chance to prove that he can grow up and be a wonderful mature adult. So when he first meets this lil saniwa, he’s oh so giddy! He almost jumps for joy! Of course he stills himself, clearing his throat and properly introducing himself to them, wanting to come ass as mature as possible. It’s obvious in his eyes that he’s excited to get to know them though!
The first thing Kenshin tries to do is almost be like Azuki and Hasebe rolled into one. He’ll try to learn how to cook and clean and even though he has a miniature habit if sleeping in late and Azuki is most often waking him up in the end but Kenshin always wants to try and emulate him. He’ll be found bringing a big ol tray of breakfast of the saniwa and waking them up, yawning while he’s talking to them and denying that he’s tired.
Kenshin is allowed to be a kid rather often, and if Azuki is fond of them too, he’ll spoil them both~! It’s like having a bro and father combo!
This lil kid is always ready to learn new things, and is often found with some kinda new book that he will share with this new Saniwa. He will often be found reading together with them, learning new things! He may be trying to look tough and adult-like, but to do that you need to learn new things!
Kenshin almost tries a little too hard to help the saniwa. He’ll try to stay up a little too late to help them, or to ensure that they go to bed on time. It’s fine to be a kid sometimes, Kenshin! Thus, the lil saniwa sometimes drags him to cuddle, it’s cute as hell, Azuki found taking all of the pictures.
He’ll try to not be swayed by sweets and is often giving his snacks to the lil saniwa. Yes he’ll be envious and puff out his cheeks, claiming he doesn’t want them, but they always share the snacks anyway. No worries.
Going back to the idea that Kenshin tries a little too hard to help the Saniwa, he’ll go to Hasebe or Azuki for help at times, wanting to learn how to do paperwork for the saniwa. Honey, no, not until you understand the words and wtf is happening. THe government is a ho anyway.
Despite all of this, Kenshin is still very much mentally young. He is nervous at times and especially so when going into battle. He does his best and ultimately he comes home with the rest of the swords - running into the arms of the lil saniwa and asking them to praise him - but he won’t lie that he sometimes feels like he isn’t enough for them? More so along the lines he wants to become better and be a better sword for them, I suppose?
Kenshin is actually very easily scared. So whenever there’s thunderstorms or something, he says he isn’t terrified but with the way he’s clinging on to the saniwa or Azuki tells volumes.
Kenshin is just trying his best when it comes to this saniwa. They’re around the same age (mentally?) and Kenshin will automatically want to try to be their elder, to show that he can be depended on too!

Days 55-58 of COVID-19 shelter-in-place
I am having a hard time keeping up.
Day 55 was Mother’s Day. Wife baked banana bread! (which is sort of a big deal because she used to bake all the time but has not baked in at least a year due to feeling overwhelmed...) It turned out very nicely--though really it was more of a banana cake baked in a brownie pan, rather than a loaf pan. I picked some flowers from our garden and we wrote a card and then drove over to my parents’ house. We spent maybe 90 minutes or so hanging out in the backyard with my parents, seated a safe distance apart. My mother liked the flowers and the banana bread, and it was lovely to spend some time together--but the weather was much hotter than I was expecting. My brother also called (video call) and so we all got to chat with him, too.
We went home in time for my dance class, which was fun. (My mom took the class too!) I did one really good inversion (handstand) in which my hips got all the way over my hands! That’s something I only achieve once every few months, even though most of my dance classes have inversions. So I was pleased with myself.
I managed to do some Adulting as well, so all in all it was a good day.
Day 56: Although it was sunny when I woke up, it clouded over and got very cold, and it rained much of the afternoon. Rain. In May. We were all outraged--that’s totally against the rules in California.
Work was okay--we had our group meeting, and various people gradually dropped out of it as we finished discussing projects they’re involved in, until there were only 4 of us left. We had a funny video-meeting experience: when one of the 4 left, my coworker said “Did you see that?! Someone walked across behind him! At his house! I think it was a woman! He must have a girlfriend!” I was very disappointed that I hadn’t noticed, and then our boss said “Oh, yeah, she moved out there with him when he left here, she lived in Marin” and we were gobsmacked... how did our boss know this when we did not?! how did we not know he had a girlfriend when he was still living here?! (In fact, he had mentioned his “friend in Marin” many times, but we had all assumed it was a dude, not a woman he was romantically involved with!) Anyway, after my boss left the meeting, the coworker and I caught up a bit--the first time we’d spoken one-on-one since the shelter-in-place started, so that was nice. And then we made some progress on a work thing.
Later, I had a video coffee break with @llamapunk, who enjoyed the gossip. But she also told me that a guy who I vaguely knew at work had had a bike accident and is unconscious in the hospital.
After work, I talked to a dance friend who told me she’d been contacted by a woman we had been friendly with a few years ago when she was coming to dance classes, who has lost her husband to COVID-19. He was in his early 40s, I think, and had no underlying conditions, so it’s really shocking in addition to being tragic, and the poor woman is having to deal with this grief (and not having been able to be at his side in the hospital or even to visit him at all) during a lockdown so she can’t get emotional support from people who are physically there. They didn’t have any kids and weren’t living with anyone else. It’s really heartbreaking.
I didn’t leave the house that day--the weather was too terrible--but I did do a lot of Adulting. Maybe hearing about all these tragic things made me need to feel a bit more in control of my surroundings.
Day 57: Dance class in the morning! It wasn’t very strenuous, though. But starting next week, it will be 15 minutes longer, so that might help. In the early afternoon, Wife and I drove to downtown near my office--Wife was dropping off a computer for repair, and we picked up lunch at the taco place where I normally buy lunch at least a couple times per week. TACOS! We came home and ate and I was SO happy!!
Wife had a job interview. It went well and she has her second one with the same company on Friday morning. Fingers crossed!
We did a bunch of Adulting. I took a very short walk after work, during which I think I saw another spotted towhee. I stopped at Trader Joe’s on my way home and managed to buy some facial tissue!
In the evening, Wife finally finished Breath of the Wild! I’m not sure what game is next, but she won’t start till at least Friday, because tomorrow is her D&D night.
Day 58: I have been going to bed ridiculously late pretty much every day. So it was a struggle to get up this morning for ballet. But I did it. Ballet class was hard work. I think by the end of this shelter-in-place, I will be stronger, but probably less fit in the cardiovascular/aerobic sense.
Afterwards, I did some long overdue scrubbing of the shower, and then after lunch I went grocery shopping for my parents. I’m not sure why it was more difficult today than it has been in past weeks, though. The parking lot was a zoo, even though in past weeks there were always spaces available. Lots of people had parked badly, making it difficult to get in and out. Then it was sort of drizzling while I waited in line. Inside the store, it was a bit crowded, though perhaps no worse than usual. But when I left, it was out-and-out raining. Which, again. It’s May. I was not dressed for rain.
Still, I had a nice chat with my dad when I dropped off his groceries, and I had bought some very pretty sunflowers to bring home.
When I got back, I had a very late start to my workday and did not get very much done. However, a college friend of mine introduced me over email to a science journalist who wanted help interpreting his county’s benchmarks for reopening. So I spent some time looking at the county’s website about it and trying to explain it.
I took a leisurely walk after work, and saw some nice gardens and flowers, plus an Anna’s hummingbird, a crow hassling a bird of prey, and a very cute floofy puppy.
Wife had ordered some clippers, which finally arrived today. So she cut her own hair! It doesn’t look too bad. The back is a bit of a mess, but that won’t matter for a video call!
I am very fortunate that I happened to get my hair cut just 3 days before the shelter-in-place started. I normally get a haircut approximately every 6 weeks, so it’s definitely getting a bit shaggy, but I don’t think I would dare try to cut it myself... even though it might be a long wait for the day I can return to my hairdresser. Well, we’ll see how bad it gets. I hate how I look with long hair, but it’s only barely at the bottom of my ears now.
Stay safe, everyone.

Thanks @felfka for the tag, and because I’m a challenge-hungry individual, I’m DOING ALL OF THEM. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What are you wearing right now: a red tank top and my fave jeans <3
When did you create this blog: December 2016, I believe.
What kind of stuff do you post: Dragon Age, peppered with whatever else I find intriguing or amusing. Mostly Dragon Age, though.
Do you have instagram: Yyyyes, but it’s pretty much just cat pictures, so it would be more accurate to say that my cats have instagram.
Do you have snapchat: yep
Do u get asks regularly: "regularly” XD no.
How did you choose your url: A friend used to call me “Ellster” and I told him a story during which I went from relaxed amusement to raging fury with the speed and ferocity of the Hulk. *shrugs* he joked, I laughed, it stuck.
Gender: female
Favorite color: teal
Average hours of sleep: 4-6 hours at night. I enjoy naps.
Favorite characters: To copy from an earlier version of this: Solas, Kara Thrace, Athelstan (Vikings), Elizabeth Bennet, Galadriel, Wash (Firefly), Violet Crawley, Donna Noble, Hook (Once Upon a Time), and I should also add Jackie Peyton from Nurse Jackie.
How many blankets do you sleep with: Depends. I prefer it cold with many blankets, but even if it’s warm, I’ll curl up with a thin one.
Dream job: Copy-editing. From home. In my PJs.
Random: My cat is so floofy, and sweet like a marsha-mallow. So...he is a fluffmallow? Yep, confirmed, this here is a fluffmallow.
This thing, I like it. ANOTHER! *smash*
1. How tall are you? Boooooo, repeat.  2. What colour and style is your hair? Dirty blonde, way too long, currently in a messy top knot bun. 3. What colour are your eyes? blue 4. Do you wear glasses? yeah, most days 5. Do you wear braces? no 6. What is your fashion sense? Pretty damn casual. Dress-up days are a rare occasion. 7. Do you have any siblings? Do I? I am the 9th of 10 kids, so yeah. 8. What kinda student were/are you? Loved learning, rocked tests, hated homework. My ACT score made up for the poor grades. Now, I’m a bit more responsible but I still procrastinate at everythiiiing. 9. What is your favourite subject? You’d think it was English, given that my major is English, wouldn’t you? SURPRISE, MOTHAFUCKAAA I actually preferred science courses. 10. Favourite TV shows? Once Upon a Time, Firefly, allll the Star Trek series, Scrubs, Doctor Who, American Horror Story, Dark Matter, pretty much any competitive cooking shows (they’re like crack to me) 11. Favourite books? Pride and Prejudice, the Harry Potter books, the Mark of the Lion series... I’m not that picky about what I read, but nothing else has made it into my favorites pile. I’ll tell you what I hated, though. Anna Karenina. I hate that book with a fiery, burning passion. 12. Favourite pastime? Gaming, drawing, reading, writing 13. Any regrets? So many. 14. What is your dream job? ANOTHER REPEAT BOOOOO 15. Do you want to get married? Yes. 16. Do you want kids? How many? Theoretically, yes. It’ll have to be an accident, though. I LOVE kiddos, but I also realllllly love sleeping. I’d like at least 2, but we’ll see what the universe throws at me. 17. How many countries have you visited? Two. 18. What’s the scariest dream you’ve ever had? Oh god it was nighttime and I was on a really low dock with wide slats and a huge fish with sharp teeth kept jumping up and trying to bite my feet. I was very young, and had it more than once, okay? I had a severe phobia of fish for like a decade.
Musical Me!
DIRECTIONS: You can tell a lot about a person by the music they listen to! Put your MP3 player, itunes, spotify, etc. on shuffle & list the first 10 songs, then tag 10 people everybody, no skipping ( aka the drag yourself with your own music, savvy? )
This is Your Life - The Killers
Oh! Darling - Across the Universe Soundtrack
The Machine - Colours
Cloud Cover - This Beautiful Republic
Shooting Star - Stardust Soundtrack
Lose Yourself - Eminem*
Pendulum - Encoder
Settle Down - The 1975
That It’s Already Too Late Too Leave - Magna Carta Cartel
Face Like Thunder - The Japanese House
*OH MY GOD it’s been fifteen years since this came out, I probably hadn’t heard it in at least five, and it randomly came on the radio the other day. I STILL KNOW ALL THE WORDS.
Oooh CHOICES
RULES: Answer all questions, add one question of your own and tag as many people as there are questions.
Coke or Pepsi: Coke? I guess?
Disney or Dreamworks: Disney. NO Dreamworks. NO Disney. *sigh*
Coffee or tea: COFFEE.

@kittlesandbugs, @umabbas, @kejj, @ladywhiskers, @awkwardhours, and @byblackwallsbeard. Pick and choose, give it a pass, or be cool like me and share all of your secrets. If you do it, please tag me so I definitely see! :)

The Workout Gear Our Fitness Editor Is Currently Obsessed With

The Workout Gear Our Fitness Editor Is Currently Obsessed With
Not to go all Marie Kondo here, but I have zero time for “stuff.” Between teaching cycling classes, a 9-5 hustle, and squeezing in a workout for myself, I live my life on the go, and my gear has to hold up—not to mention help me look remotely put together. So when I’m staring down a product, I make myself stop to think about whether it would elevate my life in some way: Does it make me faster? Less sore? Just plain happy? That last one is super valid, trust me.
There are plenty of reasons to make purchases, and finding a “why” typically helps me be a smarter consumer and lands me with products I truly love. After all, life’s too short to waste time on “stuff.” Here’s the gear that keeps me going on the daily, no matter how tough the going gets.
My Favorite Kicks for Kicking Around
Go ahead and call me crazy for wearing white kicks in the middle of a New York City winter—I’m not going to stop living in these APL Ascends. They’re supportive enough to cross-train in but cool enough to wear while grabbing drinks with friends. Plus, with their Propelium® technology, I feel like I’m walking on floofy clouds.

The Perfect Air Pods Silicone Case
If you’re like me, you drop your beloved AirPods on a regular basis. That’s why I rely on this gold-flecked silicone case from Elago to soften the blow. The carabiner hook helps to keep the case from falling into the depths of your bag (and this particular style is glow in the dark for when they inevitably do).
($13; elago.com)
A Tracker that Fits My Goals (and My Wrists)
I’m currently using the Garmin Forerunner 645 Music to train for a few races, and I’m officially an Apple Watch convert. This baby does it all—activity and sleep tracking, Vo2Max and recovery coaching, a shockingly long battery life (seven days in smartwatch mode), and space to hold 500 songs so you can run phone-free. Its big brother, the Forerunner 935, is slightly more rich in data but has a considerably larger face. So with my puny wrists, the 645 is just right.
($450; garmin.com)
These Floaty-Light Running Shoes
New Balance shoes haven’t ever been my go-to for running, but these lightweight sneaks have changed all that. The Fresh Foam LAZR V2 have a fairly supportive sole, an elevated pocket for your achilles to rest in, and great bounce. The knit material on the upper portion of the shoe almost makes it seem like I’m running in some cushy socks, which is awesome for someone like me who broke a toe that will apparently never ever heal. Not to be a total tease, but these actually haven’t been released yet—you can get your hands (feet?) on them March 1.
A Trainer for Indoor Cruisin’
I’m a cyclist, but there’s no chance you’ll catch me on the road when it’s 13 degrees outside. The M2 Smart Trainer from CycleOps helps me bring my workouts indoors—if you’re a bike nerd like me, you’ll appreciate that it seamlessly connects to your favorite training software (like Zwift or Rouvy), and all of your performance data is recorded within the trainer itself (meaning no external sensors required).
Also, if you’re someone who actually enjoys climbing hills (shout-out to our video producer, Jenna!), the Wahoo Kickr and Kickr Climb are a powerful duo that simulate grade changes during your indoor training. #noflatearth

The Leggings You’ll Have to Rip Off My Dead Body
Sorry for the alarming description, but I need you to understand my feelings for the Salutation Stash Pocket ⅞ Tight from Athleta. They’re super soft yet high-rise and compressive, and they’ll make you feel incredible in any yoga or barre class (they’re also my go-to for maximum comfort during travel). I wasn’t a huge Athleta fan until recently, but I truly feel like they’ve stepped up their game in terms of design and aesthetic. Also, they’re a B Corp now, which is pure awesomeness.
($89; athleta.com)
Shoes for Walking All Day That Aren’t Heinous to Look At
These slip-on Rothy’s sneakers are my go-to hack for looking somewhat put together when I’m rocking day-old gym hair and leggings. They’re ridiculously comfortable—priority No. 1 when I’m standing at a desk or zipping around NYC all day—and are made from recycled water bottles using a 3D knitting process to reduce waste. Bonus: They’re machine washable. Boom.
($125; rothys.com)
The Pre-Workout Dream Team
I know, I know—CBD is everywhere right now. And sure, coffee and CBD might sound like a contradictory combo, but hear me out for a sec: Lately, this CBD infused coffee from Jane West has been my version of a pre-workout, and I’m really into it. Obviously, caffeine helps when my alarm so delightfully sounds at 5:30am, but I’m also convinced that CBD has helped me feel more focused during my workouts. With 240mg of full-spectrum CBD per 12-ounce bag, a cup of coffee (I err on the strong side) contains about 13 mg of CBD—that’s enough to help me shake the stress of the day to come and stay present when the workout gets tough.
($48; jwcbd.shop)
The GOAT of Athleisure
We’ve sung these pants’ praises before, but let me say again for the people in the back: These are the best pants ever. Whether you’re a commuter, a lunchtime exerciser, or just thrive in comfy clothes, the On The Fly pant from Lululemon is going to change your life. They look like trousers but have the elasticity of leggings, so you can chameleon your way from the conference room to yoga with no problem.
($98; lululemon.com)
