In the books, Sirius's devotion to Harry is of course very deep, but it never translates to something physical. He only shakes Harry's end when he leaves his bedside in book 4, and in book 5 there is something resembling a hug, like twice...? As a dog he stood up his hind legs and front paws on harry's shoulders and a half hug after Christmas. Idk it sort of drives me crazy, because in the movies Harry and Sirius are so affectionate! That first hug when Harry arrives in Grimmauld!! Gary and Dan had an amazing chemistry that other actors were jealous of, they mirrored the book characters, so it palpable on screen, the few scenes Gary is in at all at least.

So, what do you make of this? Do you in musing for art imagine a more affectionate relationship between Harry and Sirius? Maybe if Sirius survived the war? Molly's hug in book 4 was a poignant moment but imo that should have been a moment between Sirius and Harry. Sirius already says he expected something catastrophic to happen to Harry in the third task, that's what he stutters when Harry comes in with Dumblebore. So he is literally afraid of his godsons life and it still shows of course, Sirius staying at Harry's side was very beautifully written, like the devotion is clear, but I am foaming at the mouth for more affection between them in canon? Platonic, not shipping. So between the movies and the books Im just kinda torn what's better

It's more a rant than an ask, sorry lol, but if you have any input I'd he so stoked to read it. Not many peeps in the fandom even give Sirius and Harry any time of day, nvrmind even understand what they had (which also drives me kinda nuts but ok)

Ohhhh, anon, you’ve come to the right spot! Mostly because I love them. I would say that 80% of my fandom interest is just Sirius being a dad to Harry.

To your question, I don’t think one is better than the other. Each has their purpose. Let me share my thoughts:

1. I am soft for movie Sirius and Harry’s affectionate touching. However. The dynamics of their relationship were NOT mirrored from the books, which…is fine. Honestly, I just don’t think it was a priority for the filmmakers. This particular bit doesn’t bother me because the movies are not supposed to replace the source material—they are an interpretation. To me, watching the movies is like reading fic—fun to watch but not canon. Also, the filmmakers removed so much of their relationship in GoF that they HAD to make Sirius and Harry physically affectionate in order for movie audiences to see what losing Sirius would mean to Harry. Their complexity is completely unexplored in the films, and they had to do SOMETHING to get the audience to feel sad when Sirius died. This started in PoA when they really downplayed the context of their relationship. (Lol, see my rant on PoA. I really don’t like that movie hahahahaha.)

2. In the books, Harry and Sirius are not physically affectionate with each other despite their intense love for each other, and I think this is an effective way to show characterization. As I tell my students, this might have been intentional by the author, but it could have been an instinct that she followed (what feels right for the characters).

Here’s what I think: both are so terrified of losing the other that they won’t allow themselves to get too close, and, crucially, they both fear showing vulnerability. Touching someone and reaching out for a hug or comfort is an extremely vulnerable thing to do. If you reach out for a hug, you are showing your true feelings. To be rejected physically is sometimes more devastating than someone telling you to just “go away.” It’s a sign of trust to touch someone—you are trusting that they feel the same way about you, and you are trusting that they won’t pull away. Both Sirius and Harry understand rejection, and both avoid it. How do you avoid rejection? You distance yourself.

I’ll put the rest under a cut because I think this might get long…

Sirius and Harry, for all that they love each other, fall out of trusting each other by OotP. Part of this is trauma, but it is also miscommunication. Harry is worried that Sirius will do something stupid—either out of concern for Harry or because he wants to get out of number 12–but he’s worried he’ll lose Sirius. So by withholding affection (which I’m not sure if he knows how to give physically), Harry distances himself from Sirius which will, theoretically, keep Sirius safe (of course, it backfires). Sirius is…you know…going through stuff in OotP. He is already vulnerable—he perceives himself as being emasculated because he’s not allowed to leave his childhood home and he’s relegated to performing ‘uninteresting, domestic work’, and he must be inactive when he’s a man OF action.

When it comes to Goblet of Fire and the odd handshake… I think Sirius is reeeeeally holding back. Harry does NOT want him to go, and Sirius knows this. (Why DOES Dumbledore send him away? Literally anyone else could have “alerted the old crowd” and NOT the convicted murderer. This is clearly the author’s excuse to get Sirius away from Harry—and, I’ve spoken to this before, Sirius is too much of a miracle character—too smart, too loyal, too loving to support the story that the author wanted to tell.) Sirius, if he had stayed, would have been the emotional support that Harry needed. So if Sirius holds Harry, what if Harry doesn’t let go? What if Sirius himself can’t let go? A handshake will have to do.

So Sirius leaves Harry with that bizarre handshake. That Sirius leaves at all damages their relationship—it could have been repaired with time (if they’d been allowed time), but this moment makes Harry realize that he cannot rely on anyone, not even Sirius. This leaves Harry to be isolated in OotP, and it leaves him to feel like he cannot trust anyone. I’m not blaming Sirius for leaving, but I believe this action causes a rift between them that carries into the next book.

My point is, I HATE that they don’t touch but it is very important that they don’t, at least when it comes to the story that the author wanted to tell. I think it was the right move when we look at the story as a whole. Do I like it? NO! But it’s interesting, and it DOES feel right for them. Is it devastating? Yes!!!!!!!

TL;DR: I don’t think either interpretation is necessarily better than the other, but they both have their purpose. Both are effective!

Touch is…huge in HP. Consider Voldemort’s “I can touch him now” and causing Harry pain. Touch is a privilege, and to be touched without permission is a violation. Harry kills someone by touching them. He is only touched by his family when Dudley beats him up or he gets shoved in his cupboard.

Weirdly, one of my absolutely favorite moments when Sirius and Harry touch is in PoA when the Dementors are closing in on Sirius, Harry, and Hermione, and Harry, as he’s about to faint, reaches out to grab an unconscious Sirius by the arm, thinking something along the lines of “the dementors weren’t going to take him” and such. And this is about two seconds after Harry has accepted that Sirius is telling the truth! Harry physically tethers Sirius to him—this touch-starved teen reaches out to this man who is now everything to him, who is now his only real family, willing to risk death (or worse) to keep it. BUT THEY JUST MET!!!!! Devastating!!!

Also…another thought: the first time Sirius and Harry touch is the first time Sirius has been touched as a human in twelve years. And Harry is beating the absolute shit out of him…and then Sirius nearly strangles him…

Also, also, not to like…self-promote, but if you want some Sirius & Harry family feelings and a wee bit of affectionate touching, I wrote a one-shot where they talk about their feelings in OotP.

Trying

I posted this on my kickstarter, but thought others should hear it. I'm still working, but it's very hard at this time.

Hello everyone,

Sorry to get perhaps a bit personal, I try not to, but I'm not doing great today and probably won't for a while. But I am still working on rewards. Some of you will be getting shirts and tote bags soon. I ordered some books, first as proof and then I'll order the bulk. Other items have been printed and are waiting for the books to ship with.

I'm going to try to promote this still, but it's certainly hard to really get moving on it. I feel like stories I want to tell, stories with mainly women as the main characters, stories about compassion, adversity and working through tough times with love and empathy for others. I feel like I keep finding out that there are a great amount of people in the world who actively hate all those aspects and feverishly work against them. In a since, It's like trying to write a Christmas Carol, but knowing that many not only hate the message but would much rather see it reversed. With Scrooge going from a sympathetic giving person to a shrill business man putting money over everything.

I rambling. Sorry, I have a lot on my mind and none of it is good. My spirit is unfortunately very low. I love creating stories and characters. I see art as an extension of the soul that you can share with others. I also like showing the emotion and care I'd like to see in the world. I make monsters so they can be conquered or understood. I show characters with flaws and tragic pasts so they can overcome them. I write to show paths to a better place. I always believed you should give your characters what they need in the end, not what they want. Give them what they need to have a happier life, to find peace, to become better for themselves and others. 

It's becoming exhausting to tell these stories in a world that constantly looks past these qualities. However, I do greatly appreciate the support all of you gave this story. And the support some of you give on my other platforms. It's inspiring, even if the news tells me that many would rather not see these ideas.

In any case, Thank you to all of you. rewards are being sent out, and with the books submitted for print, they've actually shown up for preorder. I'll start letting people know about the preorder. Again, it's odd and difficult to get the word out on anything right now. As though every step and type requires a pep talk to get me to do anything.

★ Marauders (mostly wolfstar) fics I have enjoyed recently ★

I think most people are already familiar with these, but I figured I’d compile a list for at least my own sake, if not for the fuck of it. No particular order, just whichever one popped into my mind first. Also I almost exclusively read regular magical fics, not muggle aus, though sometimes I will branch out.

1.) The Horcrux Hunt - lostmy_keys

He is a Slytherin, a Black, and an ex-Death Eater. Of course he makes it out of the cave.

Regulus sets out to destroy the Dark Lord's Horcrux with no one but a house-elf to help, until he realises his task is bigger than he alone can handle. Reluctantly he turns to the only man Voldemort fears for assistance - Dumbledore - who loans out his pet wolf for the job, much to Regulus's dismay. Together they embark on a hunt for Horcruxes - a long and arduous journey that both makes friendships and destroys them. And a few people get hurt along the way.

Slowburn Wolfstar, Regulus character development, a very flirty (but platonic) Regulus and Remus friendship, and a canonically manipulative Dumbledore.

This is by far one of my recent favourites. It’s too good. I’m not super into jegulus, but if that’s your thing, the sequel has them as a kind of background development :]

2.) Let Nothing You Dismay - montparnasse

There are a few things Sirius really didn't count on for Christmas of 1979. The extreme sexual confusion is one of them; Remus Lupin is approximately seventy-eight of the rest.

I bookmarked this with a note saying “this writing style is gorjus. Gongepus” at 1:30 in the morning, and that’s all I have to say about that.

3.) disintegration - moonymoment

Okay I won’t even bother putting the summary here, almost everyone has read it, it’s fantastic. Knife cutting vampire themed sexual tension, kak long too. Sound good? Lekker. Thought so.

4.) Stealing Harry (and its subsequent cinematic universe) - copperbadge

On a dark night long ago, Sirius Black took a wrong turn and never found Peter Pettigrew. Instead of Azkaban, Sirius settled down in Little Whinging to keep an eye on his godson, and hired Remus Lupin to run his bookshop for him. Then one day when Harry was eight, Sirius found out how the Dursleys treated him, and stole him away.

I’m going to make a whole separate post about this one because it’s a work of art. It’s so sweet. Ahh. It’s an iconic old series too, started before I even existed. It’s been one of my favourite things as of late. I wish it had been completed, but I also love it as it is, and I don’t feel I need any more than that. The first story is beautiful, but frankly it’s the alternative universe which comes after that I keep rereading. So so so so so good.

5.) Remain in Light - veeagainst

What if Sirius Black didn’t die? It’s been done many times. Here’s my take on it.

One of the best “wolfstar kind of adopts Harry” sorts of stories in my opinion, and done so in such a graceful way too. Blood sweat tears and six whole years (!!!!) of writing went into this thing and you can really see how no word was wasted. What a beautiful story

6.) The Bent - earlybloomingparenthesis

1985, London. The wizarding queer art scene revolves around a gallery called the Bent, where conceptual artist Remus Lupin and photographer Sirius Black exhibit their works, and a club called the Bush, where they spend time with Jane and Lily Potter, who work at a nearby heath clinic. Although war with Voldemort was averted, the wizarding world is still simmering with tension. In the face of increasing intolerance and calls for censorship, Remus’ art takes a riskier, more political turn, and he must figure out how to balance self-expression and safety. Also, he might be falling in love with his best friend.

It’s been a while since something ive read has caused my to need to go on a walk and just think. This story will make you do that. Queer truths and families and mess and art. That’s it that’s the book. It’s one of the nine fics I’ve thrown into my “lifechanging fanfics” collection and it’s there for a REASON! You will not regret reading it.

[REVIEW] The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov

3/5 stars (★★★)

"He does not deserve the light, he deserves peace."

This was an oddly enjoyable read for the Christmas season. Before I read The Master and Margarita, I had zero idea what the book was about and 412 pages + a lot of reviews later I still can't exactly say what even happened here. The Gogolian influence was very persistent in Bulgakov's prose, so I highly recommend reading some of Nikolai Gogol's stuff before getting into TMaM. That being said, I agree with people that it's a novel that stands on its own in spite of its heavy context. I did some background research into Bulgakov's biography, the ten-ish years it took for him to write the book, Stalinist Russia, and the 25-year gap between when he finished the manuscript (which don't burn!) and the actual publication of it after his death. Critics seem to be unanimous in agreeing that the Master is a self-insert of Bulgakov himself, which I really felt to be most fitting during the scenes in the hospital where he discussed with Ivan the Homeless his philosophies on art and the current social order. I appreciated Bulgakov's harrowing criticism on Soviet Russia without actually being too grave about it; the dark humor is good because the "dark" is the adjective that informs the noun, not vice versa like a lot of "satire" plots which I feel fail in comparison. The magical realism was a good kind of wacky (although I wouldn't exactly call it magical realism, but that may be just because I'm more used to its South and Latin American literary uses). I liked Woland and all the beheading episodes. Bulgakov's tongue-in-cheek treatment of citizens "disappearing," private executions, political censorship of the Soviet intelligista, and the air of general repression felt in all people, especially artists, during the time were spot-on (though that's coming from someone who never experienced Stalinist Russia and have only done humble research into it). I think TMaM is a great testament to the political and social climate of Russia in the 20th century. Bulgakov captured everything so well whilst still retaining a sense of wonder, folkloric absurdism, and, at times, tender humanity.

Personally, I didn't like the scenes set in Yershalaim with Pontius Pilate and Yeshua Ha-Nozri, though I appreciate their symbolic meaning and narrative weight as a whole. I honestly found myself falling asleep, especially during the infamous conversation between Pilate and Jesus. That being said, I found Bulgakov's portrayal of Jesus very intriguing, as well as his decision to refer to ancient Jerusalem by an alternate transliteration from the Hebrew quite bold. It gave a sort of distancing effect to the otherwise well-known Biblical places that separated their religious (over)-associations with actual historic (and fictionalized) context. I like that Jesus became "Yeshua," with the name obviously coming from the Aramaic word for "the Lord is salvation." Bulgakov making Jesus' last name "Ha-Nozri" meaning "of Nazareth" specifically was quite beautiful to me, as it places him as coming explicitly coming from the town of Galilee (north of Palestine), which Jesus was said to have lived in before he began his ministry. Instead of "Jesus Christ" or "King of Israel," which are common ways he is referred to, Bulgakov opted to name him according to his native Palestinian roots first and foremost. There's a lot of literary analysis you can take from that, but it's inherently a very defiant decision that I appreciate Bulgakov for making, and I'm saying that as a reader in 2024. Bulgakov, amongst other subtle cultural references, also mentions the keffiyeh ("kefia") in his novel a handful of times, most strikingly in the scene when Matthew Levi essentially curses at God because he was too late saving Yeshua from crucifixion. Bulgakov here is writing almost 100 years ago from where I am with zero idea of the political climate happening now in my world (although Zionism was still obviously present in early 20th century Russia). Matthew Levi's keffiyeh was one of the book's most resonant images for me, even if Bulgakov didn't exactly intend it to be as jarring as it is since he couldn't have predicted the genocide happening in Gaza right now. However, this small link I've noticed between the past and now is just an example of literature transcending time and space by acting as a bridge for human connections. Long ago, one man from Palestine disrupted Jerusalem and Rome's established (tyrannical) order and then centuries later a writer in early 20th century Russia adapted Jesus' story to criticize the cruelties and ridiculousness of the Stalinist regime, and then I in 2024 am reading this as the mass killings are happening in Palestine. Through this one book, three generations -- three timelines -- are somehow connected.

My final comment is that TMaM, particularly that connection I've personally drawn as a modern reader, reminds me why humanities, reading, history, literature, the arts, etc. are so timelessly and universally important. I know I may sound crazy and "you're just trying to be deep," but it really honestly is the truth. Bulgakov explicitly highlighting Jesus as Palestinian in Soviet Russia as a form of political protest and me in 2024 reading this book just as Jesus' same homeland is being massacred during Christmastime ... it's so haunting. The book being finished in 1940, meaning it and Bulgakov's very Palestinian Jesus is older than the "state" of Israel is an even more damning fact in and of itself. Even though I gave the book 3/5 stars, it's surely a story I will remember. That final image of the four "horsemen" riding off into the distance just as another dawn is breaking over a dictatorial empire history knows is doomed to crumble that concludes the novel will stay with me.

1. What did you do in 2024 that you’d never done before?

Man, I don't know really? I feel like I used to have so many each year and now I'm struggling to think of any. I went to LA for the first time?

2. Did you keep your New Year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I don't know what my resolution was but I'm pretty sure I didn't do it.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

No.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

No, but basically yes. That's me being a touch dramatic but like, it really does feel like a certain someone died.

5. What countries did you visit?

None.

6. What would you like to have in 2025 that you lacked in 2024?

Clear skin.

7. What dates from 2024 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

None, shit memory, nothing crazy happened this year.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Surviving. It was a bit of a rough one.

9. What was your biggest failure?

I would have liked to achieve more and be more confident in myself by now. It's mostly many small failures in that way. Like, I'm still mad at myself for not presenting my finals well. I did fine in class overall but it was a bit of a bummer at the end there.

Also like, my financials in general are very not great.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Not really, which is good. I had the flu which was scary for a hot second because I had a 104° fever that wouldn't break, and I ain't got no health insurance so I was worried I was going to be forced to go to the doctor and pay out of pocket, which lead to me having a panic attack while already fevering. But I was fine in the end.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

I barely bought anything this year that wasn't rent, credit card payments, or tuition. Or Celsius.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

God, I don't know. Let me know. I would like to know.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled?

Not naming names....... but rest assured there was appalling behavior.

14. Where did most of your money go?

See #11, lol.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

School. But I won't make that mistake again. I think school is bad for me mental healths. But we stay silly.

Went back home. My second oldest sister was with her in-laws on Christmas Day, so we shifted our Christmas to the 26th. So, on the actual day of, I was just kind of chilling with my folks, we had lasagna, watched The Holiday, and played some games.

Oh yeah, always falling in love babey.

22. What was your favorite TV program?

Arcane, Blue Eye Samurai, Dungeon Meshi, What We Do in the Shadows, Law and Order: SVU were my lifeblood. Also rewatched Danny Phantom. Started a lot of good shows I'm yet to finish--literally took a TV history class and I have a huge To Watch list.

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?

(weary sigh) No, I'm not cut out to hate people.

24. What was the best book you read?

Honestly, most of my reading was academic this year so I didn't finish many books. But House of Leaves was pretty wild and fun. That is one of maybe 3 books I finished this year ahahahaha.

I didn't "discover" Will Wood this year but I finally gave in and listened to more of his discography, discovered many bangers, which is how he ended up as my #2 on Spotify Wrapped.

Feedback on my art. Got to go home during summer which was nice too.

God... I don't know. I feel like the world is a ton of bricks and we're getting pelted by it all the time. And it was fucking election year, and look how that turned out...... but I will try not to fall into despair.

I miss my bro-in-law :(

35. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2024.

I learned something big and important but I can't remember how I articulated it. I've been having issues with self-worth, and often I fall back to old failures to make things worse, and I've learned that focusing too much on failure doesn't just prevent more failure, it prevents any movement at all including progress or success. So, I've been doing better with that.

So, I guess I've been learning to let things go more.

hello Bill Abbott: I appreciate your passing around my books in jail there, my poems and sotires. if I can ligten the load for omse of those guys with my books, fine. but literature, you know, is difficult ofr hte average man to assimilate (and for the unaverage man too); I don't like most poetry, for example, so I write mine the way I like to read it.

poetry does seem to be getting better, more human, the clearing up of the language has something to do with it. (w.c. williams came along and asked everybody to clear up the language) then I came along.

but writing's one thing, life's another, we seem to have improved the writing a bit but life (ours and theirs) doesn't seem to be improving very much.

maybe if we write well enough and live a little better life will improve a bit just out of shame. maybe the artists haven't been powerful enough, maybe the politicians, the generals, the judges, the priests, the police, the pimps, the businessmen have been too strong? I don't like that thought but when I look at our pale and precious artists, past and present, it does seem possible.

Thought to share this little au I have.uwu, i have alot more au's, especially of star palace and welcome to dreamworld, but this one, well-

okie so this au is called the morning star palace au, or MSPC for short, I made this au cuz-, well-, one, I REALLY don't like how modern bad churchs (like the ones in stories and such) are always have to be positive activity and perfect, thus no sins and hense no flaws some how, two, this fandom, me and fry especially, N E E D S I T cuz ACK- :>, and three, churchs just looks hot.:>, so here's what i did-

I was raised to be Christian, so while I'm not completely Christian I still have knowledge from what I learned when growing up, graduated in a church from after my first year of first grade to the last year of high school, from a lil tradition during Halloween and easter my family and other familys do in Alabama.(yes I am from Alabama.:>), and from video games that involves churches somehow.:>

So, for mirage and ery actually references a roleplay i had with a friend, where ery is kept in a glass casket by mirage so that anyone meeting her won't break her.(in this au shes a porsaline puppet.), for them, mirage is the bible reader.(aka the person/robot that reminds others of what the bible says like as if it was a story.), their also still a story teller, but they read church story's you'll normally find in the library sometimes.(needless to say they like that more and the most is they'll do is give "or yeet" a bible at zavy to get to it.uwu)

for zavy, hes the priest hes-, pratically himself.(frazzybear im looking at you-), and well, we heard basically it all by now, the priest performs the Sacraments Eucharist, Reconciliation, Baptism, Funerals, Marriages, Sacrament of the Sick and spreads/proclaim the word of god, I believe the most he would like to do was to help or physically be near someone as much as possible due to his original coding, so for the "Sacrament of the Sick" may be his favorite, cuz it takes the priest to put a lil oil on the sick/ill, in order to fight off whatever sickness they may have (idk me either-) and take care of them, hense he'll be there for a person 24/7 until their better.

for fairy floss is a nun of the church, besides cricket and doc, she's the only nun there, like them she does the same thing, spend an hour and a half daily in mental prayer, do spiritual reading for at least a half hour a day, observe silence except during Recreation which is after dinner and supper and engage in a variety of work maintenance of the monastery, gardening, correspondence, art work, computer projects, kitchen and sacristy work, needlework, and crafts.(im literally looking the rest of the details up at this damn point.:>), She does all that, but except the part where it means "lights out" aka sleep, she charges like zavy and mirage, but the three of them gets up when zavy gets up due to the one being the fastest to charge, they begin being themselves when its night time, due to it being the only time they can be themselves without being yelled at (mainly by doc like in the og star palace story/audio book), these three and every other character has at least one sin from the 7 deadly and more well known ones.(hence why it's called "Morning star" palace church au, cuz that star is indeed part of the sign of jesus's birth and hense the birth of Christmas, Hanukkah and so forth.(the robots, like their language translations, their programed to learn every religion in the world but mainly the USA so it won't overload them), but the morning star is also by a sword that was made in heaven but was sent down to hell with a certaint someone took.(if you called Lucifer than your right as hell.>:3), and before anyone else asks, yes their sexualities are the same as their original counterparts.:3

I have some thoughts that aren’t really deserving of their own ask but I thought, hey, it’d be nice to ask anyway and they can pick and choose which ones to answer, why not send them in one big ask? So here they are! Also numbered for your convenience.

In one of the other asks you said wealthy people sometimes have animutants as pets-What are they like? Like designer versions of normal animals, or something more creative?

Do Sunrise and Solar’s petals have any use besides being cute? Like how some animals have similar features to help regulate their temperature or camouflage? Is Solar secretly a dilophosaurous?

Is acne at all a thing animutants get? While most acne is from bacteria, some is from normal dust and other particles in the air.

Considering it’s hard to control how someone’s teeth come in with genetics alone, are things like braces at all common with animutants(That one is mostly because I have this mental image of Solar and Sunrise as siblings, with Solar teasing Sun about his cute little braces X3)?

This one is mostly a joke but how do they kiss without the other’s nose jabbing them in the eye? (Inspired by the Christmas art)

Are there other similar uses for the type of genetics work that made Sun and Moon? It’d be nice to hear genetic diseases have some progress behind them

Has anyone tried to Jurassic Park? Is Solar secretly a dilophosaurous?

What happens to ‘defective’ animutants?

How much does the average animutant know about in terms of their own conception? Or what they’re made of, rather. (You joked Moon had some cat in him-Would he know that?)

Do they have access to the internet or books? How much are they allowed to freely access?

Do they ever get to watch tv? What kind of shows do they like?

Does Moon climb outside of his security job?(He must have THE BEST hiding spots)

Does Sun have any features Moon doesn’t?(Like Moon‘s night vision or climbing, not his petals)

How much do the Glams like working with each other? Obviously Freddy likes everyone but who’s the most annoying to work with and who’s the most pleasant to work with?

Are amputations for stylistic reasons common(such as with Foxy)?

Ohhohhoh, a lot of interesting little questions you've got there! I'll try to answer them the best I can!

The pet animutants are really just whatever people wish and order them to be. Can be a mix of two or more animals, or other living beings like flowers etc. I don't think there is a limit to what they could be, the only thing to consider is that the mutants are always quite big, even the non-sentient ones. The shortest-ever mutants are like 5'9 or 5'10.

Their petals are actually capable of photosynthesis! It gives them personally a little bit more energy and they give extra oxygen to the air around them! (If you get locked into a room without oxygen with Sun or Solar, you might survive a bit longer-) This feature actually causes Sunrise to stim and fiddle so much; he has too much energy in his body but he also has anxiety so he lets the energy out through physical stims, like shaking his hands or fiddling with things or bopping and swaying his body when seated. For Solar, the extra energy goes straight to his brain... He is awfully smart and aware of everything because he uses the extra energy to think so much.

I don't think acne is an animutant problem really.

I was actually debating between braces and the chipped tooth when I was designing Sunrise. I think he'd be adorable with braces. If I ever decide to write the alternative timeline where Sun was just created to help Solar instead of replacing him, I could give him braces instead (Maybe him eating the candy in the labs caused his still-soft teeth to get wonky or something.) So yeah, braces or glasses are not very common, but not impossible. I think Freddy or Chica might be getting glasses in the Alternative timeline because I think it would suit them tbh XD Moondrop actually wears reading glasses in my Sims game (slice-of-life mod caused him to have a funky vision.)

The nose is literally my biggest struggle when drawing them kissing. I've generally tried to smaller their noses in my art actually. simply because of this issue XD I think they might need to twist their heads a bit further, or their noses are generally quite soft and just press nicely to the other's cheek (like I've drawn it).

My husband is a massive dinosaur nerd and he had to immediately correct that the dilophosaurus seen in JP movies is a very inaccurate presentation of the actual dinosaur but I kinda like the frill idea hahaha (no, Solar is not a dilophosaurus.)

Depends. If it's bad, they just get killed. If it's nothing too serious, they might be sold to the owners at a lower price, or sold in the market for other people to purchase with a discount.

Not much. They know their species and the overall concept of creating an animutant (the process, everyone is an adult, incubator time etc.) but they actually don't know the DNA and material used in them, so no, Moon doesn't know he has some feline DNA in him.

At least the Faz. co mutants do not have access to the WWW. They have access to streaming services such as Netflix or Amazon Prime, and can ask for certain books or video games they hear about from the kids or human staff to purchase. So yeah, they don't really have much knowledge of the outside world online.

They don't have access to normal TV (fazbears doesn't want them to see ads for other companies XD) but they can stream shows on Netflix and Amazon Prime! Here are some headcanons of what their favourite shows/genres might be (only mentioning series I've seen myself lol): Sunrise: He likes cartoons, and enjoys shows such as Gravity Falls, MLP, and the Cuphead Show. Probably enjoys anime and comedic shows as well. Moondrop: Horror and mystery shows, such as The Haunting of Hill House & Bly Manor, Stranger Things (I think Sun like this show too but closes his eyes for scary parts XD), and American Horror Story. Freddy: I think Freddy enjoys dramas, either comedic like the Office, or historical like The Crown. Bonnie: Sports and shonen anime :D Probably watches just whatever is on the screen and is able to get hooked on it. His favourite genre might be action, but his favourite show is Orange is the New Black. And Q-Force. Chica: She likes romantic dramas and comedies, but also idol animes like Love Live! :D Foxy: Historical dramas and documentary series, especially those that have something to do with the sea or pirates lol. Monty: Likes action, similar to Bonnie. His favourite show is OITNB as well. Arrow & The 100. Roxy: Action-horror, such as Squid Game and Sweet Home, but enjoys watching OITNB too (Chill's note: have I mentioned it is my favourite series on Netflix). Solar: True crime and science/nature documentaries.

I'm not sure if you mean like... outside the building? Because his microchip is still connected to the security system he can't really leave the building. But he found this attic room/storage area on top of the building which had a pretty big skylight, and he brought Sunrise there for a romantic date to see fireworks on New Year's eve.

Kinda answered this earlier, but yeah, it is the petals XD I think he also has generally better vision in bright places and he is more sensitive to temperature changes. (See him shiver? The temperature must be under 66°F (19°C), see him sweat? It gotta be over 86°F (30°C).) However, he handles warmth better than cold.

Foxy is kind of a lone wolf and prefers to work alone, or with Freddy or Chica only. Monty obviously is annoyed by Freddy because he is 'too soft', but likes to work with Chica and Bonnie. Roxy likes working with Chica the most but gets a bit distracted sometimes, so she prefers to work with Freddy, who is a bit of a doormat to work with sometimes XD She doesn't really like working with Monty, because he is messy and loud. Chica is quite good at working with everyone because she genuinely likes everyone a lot! though she might be distracted by Roxy, but makes a very good duo with Bonnie. Bonnie works the best with Freddy, they're "the duo" as seen as them being able to work and discuss a lot of things even in a tough situation. Bonnie isn't probably the best pair to go with Foxy or Roxy, because Roxy is a bit too bossy for his liking, and Foxy and him just genuinely bicker constantly like siblings.

For long-term show-business mutants, sometimes. Foxy was designed to be a pirate, so his hand was amputated just for stylistic reasons.

This probably shouldn’t even be a category because I am not about to make a list of music I like. That would be even more absurd than making a list of books and shit that I like. I love music so much, I cannot imagine living without it. Genre couldn’t even begin to limit me or my musical interests, and I often listen to music while I draw or walk or paint or work or drive or even read or sleep. It is the backbone of my existence. I scrap along playing piano and guitar, and if I could get my hands on other instruments I would. I played trombone in elementary school briefly, and wouldn’t be mad if I still had access to one to play (alas, I do not). I struggle to read music, but I can play something if I learn it and set it to memory.

Castletroy Park Hotel Wedding: during the summer I travelled to Limerick for a very sunny wedding in the Castletroy Park Hotel and oh boy what a day! Everyone there had such a great laugh with me, it made the day seem even sunnier! I got to draw the couple of the day too and they were absolutely delighted with the result, and of course being the VIPs of the day they were surrounded by their guests watching the drawing craic happen in real time! Big thanks to the Castletroy Park Hotel wedding coordinator who could not have been more helpful to me on the day.

Live Wedding Caricatures: How It Works

When I'm booked for a wedding I check in with the couple a few weeks ahead of the date to confirm start time and any other details that need taking care of. On the day I arrive around an hour ahead of the start time and set up with my easel, display stand and lights, and three chairs. 99% of my sitters come in pairs so I make sure there's enough seats, although I do draw one person from time to time! I also occasionally draw 3 people (often the bridesmaids like to get drawn together!) Once the guests arrive I'm all ready to go, and I'll either get an enthusiastic "Oh my god a caricature artist!" followed by a hasty sit-down from my first subjects (this is usually what happens!). If on the rare event of not getting sitters straight awat I'll go around and introduce myself and once people see what I'm up to I am drawing straight through for the next 2 hours! I really love my job and I try to bring that with me through the drawing process, I'll chat and joke with the guests while I'm drawing them and I get great reactions!

I have a lot of things I'm into, so I'm going to split them up by like, media type. Also, sorry that I'm going to be doing a long ramble about the stuff I like, I'll send you an ask after this so you can do the same to me, haha

Shows:

Hazbin Hotel- this one is obvious haha

Our Flag Means Death- I used to have a special interest on pirates when I was a kid so this show felt like tailor made for me

Glee- I know this one is a bit cringey, but I like that about it. The storylines are ridiculous and the songs are good

Gravity Falls- I used to be hyperfixated on this show when I was around 11 and the Book of Bill has reignited it

The Owl House- it's just such a good quality show, I love it

Supernatural- this is another show that goes off the walls a bit in later seasons, but again, that's part of what I like about it

Dead Boy Detectives- this show is so good. I was so upset when Netflix cancelled it

Stranger Things- I hesitated to put this here because I actually don't have any interest in the show anymore, but I do really like the fandom, so I figured I'd still put it

Movies:

Scream- this is my favourite horror movie franchise. It's just a really good movie, and the rest of the movies (apart from the third one and the two newest ones that I haven't seen) are also amazing

Books:

Heartstopper- technically this could fit into shows as well cause I really like the show, but I read the books first so I'm putting it here.

The Witch Boy- I think more people should read this, it's a graphic novel and is really good. Great art and story.

Magical Boy- the same as the witch boy. More people should read it, and it's great. It's about a trans boy who finds out that his mom and her mom and so on were all magical girls, and now he has to be one

Video Games:

FNAF- this was my first ever special interest so it holds a special place in my heart

Undertale- this was my second ever special interest and listening to the soundtrack still makes me emotional

Slime Rancher- this is the only game that I've ever played on the same save file for more than a week, it's so cute and amazing

Minecraft- I have played this game since I was a toddler, and all of my favourite childhood youtubers were minecraft youtubers (only three of them turned out to be bad people)

Musicals- I'm a theater kid so there are a few and I don't really have much to say about any of them so I'm just gonna list some

Misc: My current special interest is not a piece of media, so I'm going to put it here

Reptiles! I love reptiles so much. They are the best thing ever. I really want to become a reptile keeper (zookeeper but specifically taking care of reptiles)

I'm also quite into writing and drawing. Fanart and fanfiction, obviously, but I also like drawing my OCs, and I have a few original story ideas I want to write with them.

As know went on holiday to Turkey in October but get there in Brigingham Airport wasn't that good As you see wear hearing aids and got Dyspraxia but Dyspraxia now on Austim Spectrum now but talking travel on Holiday from Uk to Turkey really enjoy going Turkey so now book assistance with Eastjet Travel and book assistance with

Brigingham Airport and had few friends with me. Having Dyspraxia sometime can't stand up more then two hours through security line but know got job so wear Sunflower hidding disabilities landyard with Dyspraxia, Half deaf and hearing aids because Airport so busy and people so rude don't want break £3.000 hearing aids ( even can't wear them near water so have be careful going swimming pool and art painting) so going holiday to Turkey and book chicken meal on plane in case wasn't any gluten free food in Lounge 1 but wasn't gluten free food but said was ( Only have quickly going toilet on plane just said food disagreed with me).

So was meet with assistance and took me to Gate way with other wheelchair and passport but then arrived on plane but one promble on plane " There some alleged to nuts please do not eat on plane please" " Then Gluten free chicken give me was happy very nice wish order on way back but tell what happon on way back from Turkey to UK.

Then really helpful and chicken meal was nice been Gluten free food usely don't taste that good no flavour.( just bit have promble with Gluten free food in Lounge 1 ) so really enjoy travel to Turkey 🇹🇷 look for two weeks holiday.

As having two weeks in Turkey visiting all friends I know and would vist same hotel again next year. I also like vistor St Nicholas Hotel really enjoying that but other side Turkey was like Blackpool in UK

I went in Club Islamic hotel in Turkey 🇹🇷.

I enjoy beach on downfall got paid for drink get free sunbed on beach.

The food sometime ok ,sometime could not have it because Coelic and on Gluten free diet and sometimes food was beautifully special lamb food in Hotel.

Lot of cats and saw 3 Animals called Tosit( check that)though friend was wind me up) so cats 🐈 love me jump on my sun bed no kids alwon in that area and lots ants.

I went in Turkey town get few Christmas things for family and friends but haven't got all Christmas gift yet.

After two week time back on home so went Turkey Airport went to easy jet assistance jet this where promble start there wasn't noughting assistance staff in Turkey and ask for wheelchair because hearing aids fall on hard floor and jet2 staff male " Really " I thought at rude of him. So wasn't in impressed with easyjet2 staff on Airport and but dispoint and still wait for wheelchair and lot other people went on assistance que so not enough wheelchair in Turkey Airport. I sunflowers hidding card did help me but some people didn't believe hear words fake when got plane get home to UK ( but use that have that same things at home) so enjoy travel on plane then my friends decide want to eat but got to me there wasn't any Gluten free food and was sale out so said here Gluten free sandwich box but only daily milk chocolate left and could not eat that chocolate so open Gluten free box where gluten free bread? Wasn't any there only two crackers and dip and crisp and one chocolate bar should not eat as made by peanuts in raw chocolate but luck wasn't allergy to nuts but some eles was and Gluten free sandwich box no sandwich cost £5 so decide say noughting drip in drink of tea.

Then went ages for assistance back in uk and have wait another family put family in wheelchairs too.

So assistance took forever in Brigingham Airport but saw got there with wheelchair but try best out bad situation but some part off assistance want do four and want come back to me but mum had another idea have go with mum so went down lift and all usely things got taxi he ask me " where my tip?" In uk All money 💰 in Natwest. " " Thank you and went home but Turkey assistance bit better then uk assistance this time.
