dr inna on tiktok being vehemently argumentative about Bessel Van Der Kolk and Gabor Mate’s theories on trauma when their main opponents are people who are part of a foundation created by two parents who wanted to prove that recovery memory isnt real because their daughter recovered memories of her dad sexually abusing her 😭😭😭
#like im sorry how can you ignore that!!!#also i dont uncritically worship either of them but i do think trauma has a huge impact on mental health#based on personal experience with many mentally ill people throughout my life and as someone#working in the field#whilst youll notice the people dismissing trauma theories of addiction and neurodivergency#are all pure research types#whilst those pushing for trauma research#are practictioners#people in the field#and the patients themselves#so you really have to wonder 🤩
