I’m going on my first dig next year (likely in Italy). What do I need to bring and what do people ACTUALLY wear on a dig site so I don’t look like Indiana Jones’ tourist cousin?

Admittedly I don't know much about Italy or climate stuff there, so bear in mind that this is advice that isn't related to that (also @chaotic-archaeologist has some really good resources here )

It's also a little different if its a field school, or more work related. But I'm having a guess its a field school? In which case you will probably get a list of things to have/things that will be provided. In most cases this includes all your digging equipment and all that sort of stuff. So its just you and your clothes and a few odds and ends that you have to worry about. So:

SUNSCREEN. Bring your sunscreen. and wear it. reapply it every few hours. even in weather where you dont think you'll need it. sunscreen is your friend. no one likes sunburn, and no one likes skin cancer.

Bring a hat. Wear your hat. Consider the fact that if you have a hat that is decently made and lasts, this hat will become your identifying feature. (Yes i speak from experience). Ideally this hat will help you stop being sunburnt - weigh up whether you want a hat with a decent brim, or if you want a hat that is fabric that you can shove into a bag.

Clothes that can get dirty. This seems somewhat obvious, but you would not believe how many people fail to consider this. And i dont just mean clothes that are ok to get dirty and then wash. Treat these clothes as absolutely irredeemable. If they come clean, thats a nice surprise. If not, well no ones disappointed.

I personally stick with a pair of jeans or work pants. And a t-shirt/long sleeve shirt (depending on the weather) and then a flannel/other button up shirt over that. Layers are your friend. Chances are you will get hotter than you think you will. But when you stop working you will cool down again.

(I know some people who hate working in jeans though so think about what you're comfortable in).

A water proof jacket - it doesnt have to be that warm, it just has to stop you turning into a drowned rat

ALL the socks. Depending on what the washing scenario is... sometimes you rewear your shirts and pants. (Clean is a relative term some days). No one likes old and/or damp socks though. Always have clean socks.

Hiking boots are often what i find work best for shoes. But your job might have specific safety requirements. Always follow the safety requirements. Make sure your shoes have good ankle support. Or you will find yourself in pain. Ideally make sure they’re a little worn in first. For the same reason. 

Bring a waterbottle. Or two. Drink water. Bring hydralite or something like that if you can. It will be your best friend.

A notebook. Take notes on what you’ve done daily. Draw pictures of your excavation area. In the wise words of one of my lecturers at university, the entire plot of The Last Crusade happens because someone couldnt keep a good excavation diary. Sometimes these are given out on fieldschools, but even if its not, its a good habit to get into.

From that we don’t know what happened between that and the constant, BUT THE INTERPRETATIONS OF HER CHARACTERS PERSONALITY NEVER FALE TO MAKE ME SWOON AND POINT TO THE SCREEN AND GO “THATS ME” her design also plays along with the whole “kidult” theme, her pigtails being reminiscent of the ones put on adults when they’re dressing up comically young.

Then we have old Wickerbottom. Love that even though she’s old she doesn’t get written off as frail or useless but is genuinely a strong charceter both in game and lore wise. Her design of a flannel shirt and a long red skirt is so charming and she plays perfectly to the “moody old Liberian” SO WELL. AND NOT EVEN IN A WAY THATS OVERUSED, she’s genuinely a intriguing charceter and I wish I saw more media with her in it.

WIGFRIG, my main woman. Maybe I’m biased though being a Wigfrig main but I absolutely adore her in and out. Her personality, it’s so complex and has many layers too it. A actor who wants to become her work, to eternally perform as a Valkyrie. THAT BEING HER GENUINE REASON TO GO TO THE CONSTANT WAS SO BAD ASS. And let’s not forget that design, I’ll admit I’ve thirsted after her before. Respectfully of course. It’s simple but plays well into what she is without sexualizing it as a whole-

Back to her design, I like how everything has a role and plays into actual game, like her helpmate and spear design. Plus the fact she’s just ginger is so nice idk why. I loved her hair design even if it’s a pain to draw, and I like how her face is quite distinct and is just so Wigfrig. I’d let her spear me to death any day.

Then finally (for this post need to cut short for attention) we have Winona. I love that she’s genuinely period accurate to being a handy woman, like, her design, everything was well put together for as much accuracy as one can. Other than being a lore connection to the main crew being Charlie’s sister, I find her in game play so charming too. Her notes on things and general working attitude, smiled when I examined the body with her and she made a work safety joke. She would take no shit and beat the shit out of me And I’d let her. Another thing, I love that they didn’t glamorize her in design. She’s tired and hardworking, it shows and I love that it’s there. There’s no making things overly pretty to get people to play, Winona is how Winona shall be and I FUCKING AHEHSJJEKEKE.

That and overalls I’m a sucker for overalls. Final note I love that some of the fandom has shipped her with the girl she saved during her rework video, I find it cute and would like to see more of it.

arguably the best style. doesn’t really keep up with trends, but her aesthetic leans towards grunge

she typically sticks to the green and black color scheme. there’s a lot of dark colors and shades of green in her closet

she likes to have cool socks, even though most of the time they aren’t shown. the socks are either really put together or incredibly silly, no in between

scram is like 9-10 years old. HE'S SO SMALL V SMALL ,, he wears clothes that are wAyy too big for him. so his flannel like flies behind him and his cap is basically sagging off his head. he runs A LOT. mostly because he gets in trouble a lot-

he got his nickname bc basically everyday he runs through groups of newsboys and he yells "scram!!" because he's getting chased by the cops

he's got tanner skin and he's italian 💁‍♂️ HE'S VERY TANNED BC HE'S ALWAYS OUTSIDE AND ALWAYS RUNNING. he's got wavy black hair and it's basically all over the place and its super long bc the boy doesn't know how to cut it

he's LITERALLY EVERYWHERE. "where is scram?" and suddenly scram is stumbling toward you and being like "hiya!!"

he's used for like- messages? bc he likes to run so stitch (the leader) was basically like "lol okay so tell brooklyn blah blah blah" and scram his halfway to brooklyn as soon as he says it.

Who is a night owl:

dont get me wrong, they both most definitely will stay up late together or both pass out before 9pm on a Friday night, but some days when the depression hits, its jsut different and Jo is definitely more of the night owl. Alex is more of a morning person and Jo would rather sleep like the dead. 

Who is a morning person:

as we’ve discovered, more so Alex esp when they have kiddos. Alex is the one to get up with them early and let Jo sleep, he makes breakfast with the kids’ help and keeps their room quiet for jo to get some extra sleep but will unleash their evil spawns when he deems she’s slept in long enough. 

Are they cuddlers:

some days, yes, mostly. jo definitely loves the affection from someone who genuinely loves and wants her back. but there are days where she literally is like “do not come near me with your (temperature) hot body Alexander Michael Karev, you are a heater and I am already too warm” 

Who is the big spoon and who is the little spoon:

Alex is def the big spoon. Jo likes cuddling into him because sh feels safe, he feels like home. but she def has big spooned him too it’s a 50/50 relationship we have equal roles people

What is their favourite sleeping position:

no lie, both spread out like starfish in their bed. 

Who steals all the blankets: 

Jo. Alex is a space heater and doesnt need blankets she freezes and likes being snuggled up and warm

What they wear to bed:

I mean some nights, nothing, but like jo def loves Alex’s old Iowa state shirts or his wrestling shirts from HS that smell like him. an old worn in t-shirt, anything with a pair of booty shorts or his boxers even. and Alex will just wear a t-shirt and boxers or flannels in the winter. 

Who likes seeing the other wearing their t-shirt:

Alex wholeheartedly loves when jo wears his shirts unless its his favorite flannel and she steals it “come on, jo. you know that’s my favorite one. I wear it all the time.” its exactly why she takes it. 

Who falls asleep mid-conversation:

jo, unintentionally. sometimes the insomnia hits and she won’t have slept for a couple days so when life catches back up to her she will fall asleep randomly. even more so while pregnant and right after their daughter is born. she just “night night Josephine” 

Who wakes up in the middle of the night with nightmares:

they both have their fair share of horrid nightmares. Alex’s deal a lot with his trauma of growing up. his mom pulling various knives on his siblings and dad attacking them. even nightmares of jo leaving him like Izzie did and he wakes up without her. 

jo’s are terrifying as well. she dreams that Paul’s death was just an illusion and that hes still out there and he’ll still come and get her. she wakes up drenched in a cold sweat and Alex holds her and they pull up his death certificate on the gsm database to prove it. she also has nightmares about being abandoned again. dreams of herself as a baby, dreams of her mother leaving her at that firestation. horrid nightmares. and Alex just holds her. she also has many nightmares about Alex abandoning her too just like her mother abandoned her but he’s never done that he’s always there when she wakes up and everything is okay again

Who accidentally punched the other in their sleep:

jo is an absolute horrible bed partner. she does NOT sleep still. she will move around so much during sleep its dangerous. yes, Alex did wake up with a bruise across his cheek one night from an elbow to the face...

Who can’t keep their hands to themself:

both of them. theyre notorious horndogs no autocorrect they are not corndogs please stop correcting me when you’re wrong 

and just because, im throwing in the parenting meme one too bc my heart melts

packs the lunches

Alex. he gets up with the kids in the mornings and also we do not trust jo to make their children food. she’d feed them boxed Mac n cheese and take out the entirety of their lives. and while they love that and Alex wouldn’t care if it was jsut them, their kids need real food. he packs them lunchables and uncrustables but at least its a little more of a variety. 

blows raspberries while cuddling

jo, more so. they both do, but jo LOVES a good chunky baby belly she can blow raspberries onto. and yes she leaves maroon lipstick marks on chubby cheeks and bellies. 

is the tickle monster

Alex. and she runs to mommy to save her from daddy! “oh, now you want mommy, huh? as soon as daddy is the tickle monster all you want is mommy? not when I wanted cuddles, or we picked you up from daycare or I dont know, I gave birth to you and wanted snuggles you cry and want daddy but now hes the tickle monster you want me?” and jo scoops her up and tries saving her but ultimately they lose and get attacked in their very large bed by the tickle monster. 

gives life lesson speeches

they both do just depending on the situations. 

when the girls start dating, jo sits them all down separately, and explains to them a bit of her past. letting them know that no man should ever lay hands on them. she teaches them how to defend themselves and Alex ofc shows them in example how women should be treated. Alex makes it clear that if a guy or girl ever should treat his daughters or his son in any other way than he treats jo, that he needs to know and gOD forbiD one of them lay a finger on one of his children there WILL be hell to pay. jo obviously consoles him in front of her children but tells him “u already have a record. if anyone lays hands on our children I will be putting them in the ground not you”

kisses the boo-boos

Alex he is a pushover and 100% makes sure all boo-boos are kissed and even when the kids are way too old for having their boo-boos kissed, he makes sure the bandaids that are no longer avengers or dinosaur or unicorn or princess themed, have been properly kissed. even through protests of “dad, im not five anymore I dont need my bandaids kissed” “how do you expect them to heal, then, CJ? you’re my most clumsy kid, and I have had to kiss all your boo-boos and never once have I not. thats why you’re still in once piece” 

breaks the bad news

jo makes Alex do it most times. she claims she’s the fun parent and tries to stay the fun parent by making Alex break bad news like “we cannot get another dog” she blames it on Alex but then brings home a puppy the following week. 

joins the PTA

listen. LISTEN. when Greyson started big kid school, in kindergarten, they placed her in private school to give her everything they didnt have growing up. jo was determined to make sure she gave her daughter everything made sure she felt loved and was spoiled it was terrible. so jo, of course, sent her to Seattle Elementary academy and was not paying attention when she signed some forms signing up to be in the PTA. she loathed it so much and “Alex im sorry I cant do this. I know we wanted to give Gracie everything we didnt have growing up but I cant take it I cant take the private school. the volunteer hours the strict dress code violations? she is FIVE. I also have to volunteer FORTY HOURS this year alone. no! I am a surgeon, a mother of two and im pregnant! I do not have time for this! all these PTA moms are stay at home moms who have nothing better to do than gossip about their neighbors and drink wine. and I swear to god if I have to hear about Jessica’s fucking essential oils pyramid scheme one more time I will shove those oils so far up her a––” “Jo! Look, Ali, mommy’s here!” Alex interrupts her just in time. he doesnt blame her. those private school moms are quiet the handful. every time, one of them has the nerve to hit on him. “and I swear, if one more of those moms hits on you in front of me, im going to backhand her with my engagement ring on. no hate to most of them, but theyre too much” they end up ending Gracie, and Ali and the rest of the kids to public school just like they had grown up in and did just fine.

A/N: i was feeling cute and wanted to write something fluffy and this idea just popped into my head. feedback as always is appreciated. i’m kind of nervous about this one cause i’ve not really done anything like this before.

When Peter pulled himself through your window it was way past 1am. Tonight was luckily one of the nights he’d come back from his patrols unscathed and not requiring your help to patch him up. He’d sent you a quick message about an hour earlier to let you know he was okay but was still going to stop by. You hadn’t replied and he was expecting to find you already sound asleep in bed but instead, he found you cross-legged on your bed, textbooks open and spread around you. 

Peter took a mental note of how cozy your room looked. Fairy lights hung from the wall above your bed illuminating everything in a soft golden glow. Pictures of you and him were scattered among those of you and your friends, his eyes even landed on one of him in his suit posing stupidly, carefully hidden behind a couple of polaroids. The room always smelt light and airy, partly because you always had your window open for him but also because of the calming scent of the candle you had burning on your bedside table.

You were wearing one of his t-shirts and a pair of sleep shorts. Your phone lay abandoned on the other side of the room, explaining the unanswered text message. There was a gentle hum of music flowing out through your open laptop which danced through your room and concealed your huffs of frustration at whatever you were reading. It was clearly not making sense to your no doubt sleep-deprived brain. He wondered how long you’d been sitting in your hunched position.

Peter let his eyes wander over you, still with your head in a textbook. He noticed how goosebumps were evident on your thighs but from the looks of the concentration etched into your features the cold wasn’t the only thing you hadn’t noticed. You still hadn’t acknowledged him yet. He didn’t want to scare you, but if he didn’t make his presence known soon he knew it would look really creepy. So, he stepped forward, hoping you’d notice him. When that didn’t work he cleared his throat. 

Still… Nothing.

You didn’t look up from your textbook. Too focused on whatever words were clearly not making sense on the page in front of you. Peter took another step forward. He gently touched the hand that was resting on the top of the textbook keeping it open. When you finally noticed Peter, still in his red and blue suit and you’d be lying if you said you weren’t glad to see him. You were happy to have something to focus on that wasn’t the nonsense ramblings of the textbook. You were even happier that something was Peter.

“Peter…” You whispered, not realising how gravely your voice would be from hours of silence. Your head was still fuzzy from trying to retain the information you knew wouldn’t be there in the morning. No matter how much you tried to hold on to it.

“Hey…” he copied your gentle and quiet tone. Sitting carefully beside you so he didn’t crush any paper. “What are you still doing up.” He brushed some hair out of your face, resting his hand gently on your cheek. You nuzzled into its warmth, letting out a shaky breath. 

“Um…” Your eyes landed on the clock on the wall over Peter’s shoulder, you hadn’t realised how late it was and because of how hard you’d been studying your brain wasn’t working fast enough to come up with a good explanation or at least a plausible lie. Peter just sighed. “Let me take care of you? Please.” You wanted to tell him that you were okay but him taking care of you sounded exactly like what you needed right now. 

“Have you eaten yet?” He asked, moving the textbook out of your hands and onto the floor, shifting slightly as he began clearing the other books off your bed and stacking them in a neat pile next to your bed. You knew you should have protested because you really needed to study but you were exhausted and there was no fight in you. 

“No…” You answered honestly. Watching as Peters face twisted in concern. You didn’t want to tell him how you’d lost track of time and had barely even taken a break to go to the bathroom. You knew he’d just worry about you taking care of yourself and he already had so much to worry about. You didn’t want to add to it. 

“Okay, let me get you something.” He muttered, not annoyed, just simply wanting to help you. You tried shaking your head, wanting to tell him that you were okay but your stomach grumbled in perfect unison to his offer and that was all the confirmation he needed. You didn't even have the chance to stop him because before you knew it he was up and heading to your door. 

“I’ll be right back.” He muttered as he snuck out of your room and headed towards the kitchen. Determined to make you something before he tucked you into bed. He scanned the room, looking for something easy that he could feed you. He settled on cereal. It was a quick and easy option and there was no chance he could burn down the house with that particular choice.

When he got back to your room he saw that you were slumped slightly and resting against your wall. Your eyes were fluttering closed with the heaviness of sleep and Peter wanted to do nothing more than to just snuggle you in his arms and let sleep consume you but he knew you needed to eat something first. When he sat down on the bed, a bowl of cereal in hand it caused you to sit up slightly, blinking harshly in an attempt to banish sleep. 

“It’s okay, I got you.” Peter whispered as he gestured for you to open your mouth before he lifted the spoon careful not to spill any on your bed or you. He proceeded to feed you until the bowl was empty and when he set it down on your desk he turned back to you. His face was calm, with nothing but care and adoration to be found in his eyes. 

“Want me to help you get ready for bed?” His asked, eyes scanning your face for an answer and when he noticed the little nod of consent he carefully picked you up in his arms bridal style. It caused you to let out a gasp and interlock your arms around his neck as he carried you to the bathroom. 

He sat you on the sink and began running a flannel under the lukewarm water before handing it to you so you could wash face. Once he’d helped with that he lifted you off the sink and helped you brush your teeth before picking up your brush from the cabinet and running it through your hair a couple times to remove any knots. The action itself caused you to close your eyes and almost lulled you to sleep. 

When he was done you tried insisting that you could walk back to your bed but Peter ignored you and picked you up in his arms again. Which if you were honest you were thankful for you were so tired you doubted if you’d have actually made it to the bed or if you would have just ended up passed out on the floor.

One thing you weren’t sure of was if it was the softness Peter was exhibiting or the utter exhaustion you were feeling but you didn’t at any point even protest him taking care of you. Usually, you didn’t rely on him so heavily and you’d never had him take care of you like this. It was usually the other way around, with you being the one he came to when he needed help. You were proud of being as independent as you were but tonight in Peters' arms as he looked after your every need you couldn’t help but just let go. 

He lay you down so gently, leaving enough room for him to slot in beside you and wrap his arms around you. He pulled you into him so your head was resting on his chest and his hands trailed aimless patterns across your back. Your breathing fell into rhythm with his as your limbs intertwined and you could hear the steady beat of his heart in your left ear. You’d never felt safer than when you were in Peters' arms. Tonight was no exception.

“Hey, I love you, you know that?” Peter mumbled into your hair as he pressed a kiss to your forehead. 

“I do. You know I love you too.” You murmured as you tiled your head up, your sleepy eyes connecting with his that sparkled in the reflection of the fairy lights. 

“I know, I was just making sure you knew.” He whispered as his eyes danced over your features, taking in your dark under eye circles. You hummed something in response but the words were barely audible and Peter wasn’t sure he even heard them.

“I’m never going to stop reminding you.” He chuckled lightly under you. Knowing full well if you’d been more conscious you would have rolled your eyes at how sickly sweet he was being. “I will never not love you, I will never not care for you, I will never not look after you.” 

His words were the last thing you heard before you closed your eyes and let exhaustion engulf you, feeling secure knowing that Peter would be there in the morning when you woke up and you could tell him how grateful you were for him taking care of you tonight. When you were awake you would tell him how much you loved him and how much he meant to you. But right now you were snoring lightly. Peter looked down at your face, vowing he’d take care of you whenever you needed him too. Just as you’d done for him on so many occasions. 

“I’ve got you.”

SF9 Imagine: Autumn Date 🍂 (All 9)

My favorite season is finally coming guys. While working on a request, I was listening to music and was inspired from “Falling Leaves are Beautiful” by HEIZE. Currently my new favorite song at the moment and it fits the changing f the seasons perfectly.

* I didn't even start and I'm already in my feels 🥺  (most adorable) 

* You go for a walk together through a park 

*The two of you admiring the changing colors on the leaves 

* Also walking with your favorite warm drinks in one hand 

* As he’s holding your cold hand in the other

* Would be one to give up his jacket or hoodie for you to wear in a heartbeat 

* "Youngbin, no I know you'd be cold." 

* "But you look colder. I'll manage."  

* Wouldn't forget to take pics of you in his jacket or hoodie and set it as his wallpaper right after 

* Also you’d get some food afterwards 

* He'd playfully try to convince you to eat spicy food to help warm you up since he loves it and knows you don't

* Instantly thought of a bookstore/ café date 

* I think he looks so cute in flannels for some reason

* All guys can rock them I think, but him especially ❤️

* The two of you would talk about all the things you want to do this season change 

* “Let’s make a list.” 

* “A list? With all the things we said?” 

* “Yeah it’s our fall bucket list. We have to do them all before Winter.” 

* You smile at his brilliant idea 

* “Okay let’s get started right now.” 

* He’d pay for the drinks and pastries you ordered quickly and grab your hand as you rushed out to start the adventure that awaited you on the list 

Jaeyoon 

I see you guys visiting a fair (Side note this pic of him honestly wrecked me. His selfies are so adorable 🥺)

The two of you would play all the classic games 

He’d show off his strength playing the sledge hammer game

You’d also play the ring and bottle game and he’d win you a stuffed animal 🧸 

“Wow. We don’t get many winners in this game. What would like?” 

Jaeyoon without a doubt would immediately point to the biggest prize they have

“I want the big panda bear.” 

“No problem.” 

You’d look at him and delight and do nothing but giggle 

“Here you go.” The game moderator hands him the bear 

And he’ll immediately hand it to you. 

“I’d win more for you if you want?” 🥰

Of course a day at the fair isn’t complete without some cotton candy the two of you would share 

 Dawon (Sanghyuk) 

* Thought of him and my mind immediately went to a pumpkin patch 😂

*  I know it’s kind of juvenile lol 

* But I see you two going through a corn maze because He said it was fun, which was true but wanted to get you alone mostly 

* But he didn’t factor in getting lost 

* “Sanghyuk-Ah. I’ve seen the weird piece of corn like two times already.” 

* Aigooo. Don’t well me we’re lost.” 

* You’ll eventually take a break from trying to find your way out 

* You’d talk and joke around to make you calm down 

*Then he’d be big ass flirt 💀

* “Your cheeks turning a little red is the cutest thing ever when the wind blows on your face. It’s chilly I know.” 

* Then he’d peck a kiss on your nose, which is the lost red out of everything 

* You’d then hear someone clearing their throats behind you. 

*The two days you would jump in surprise and ask them to help you guys out the maze 

Zuho (Juho) 

* See a double date with and your cats 🐱😂🥰 (this pic is too cute) 

* Your cats would be playing along with each other 

* While the two of you watched them in delight 

* “(your c/n) is so polite and cute.” 

* “Thanks. I didn’t think they’d get along so well” 

“I want them to play together more often.” 

* “What if they did?” 

* You turn to him confused. “How?” 

* You’d see him hold up keys. The keys to his place. 

*Just like the cats, you’d tackle him and attack him with hugs and kisses 

Rowoon (Seokwoo) 

* This giant ❤️. Honestly anything would be fun with him  

* Imagine just cuddling in 

of course with a fire going 🔥 

* Drinking hot chocolate wrapped in blankets as if the two of you were in a cocoon 

* You being the ticklish person you are, Seokwoo would caress you in a certain spot and make you jump and giggle causing you to spill hot chocolate on yourself 

*”Ah Jagi! Sorry! Did it burn you?” 

* “No it wasn’t that hot. I’m okay. You just surprised me.”

* “I’ll wash your shirt.” 

*You’d give him your blouse leaving you in just a cami and your bra.” 

* He’d start to stare, face turning red. 

*”L-let me you get you a sweater” 

* He’d come back with the most gigantic sweater 😂 

* One that’s even too big on him 

* He didn’t want any of the members to see you in a cami 

*You’d continue cuddling, it being better now being in his sweater that smelled so good 

Taeyang

Because he’s so cute and so sweet 

both of you would make a favourite seasonal treat, candy apples 

You’d come back from the grocery store buying all the ingredients you need 

You make the classic red candy apples

As well as caramel apples 

“I don’t think it turned out right.” 

Both of you would be wearing matching aprons trying to assemble your apples 

Once you put the stick into the apple, you realise too late that’s crooked 

He simply smiles to himself takes your apple and readjusts it 

“No one wants to eat a crooked candy apple.” 

The two of you continue to makes apples 

You two then enjoy the apples, you eating about 3 or 4 yourself as he laughs at your cuteness

Hwiyoung (Youngkyun) 

Going to an outdoor movie showing would be the cutest 

I see you guys taking blankets and pillows and of course popcorn and movie theatre snacks 

And dont forget a thermos of a warm drink, It is fall 

You’d walk to the park where the showing is taking place and find a nice spot 

Then you’d of course get comfy and watch the movie 

As the movie goes on, you’d lay against his big chest

This was one of the best things you loved about cuddling against him 

You love how his chest and shoulders were broad, so you knew they could support you

He’d look down his shoulders to you and ask 

“Getting sleepy?” 

“No, just want to feel your warmth.” 

He’d smile and start playing with your

* The two of you would visit a Haunted house 

* Like Dawon,  he’s think I’d be fun 

* But also wanted to protect you when you were scared 

* Little did he know things like this, didn’t really scare you 

* As soon as the first actor pops out with gory bloody make up all you can do is look back awkwardly at the person 

* Chani would immediately grab your shoulders at the slightest indication of stiffness

* To his surprise he hears you start to crack up. 

* “Huh? Wait your not scared?” 

* Hearing his disappointment and his “Huh?” in his deep voice makes you laugh harder 

* “Did you think I’d cry from fear or something?” 

* He’d laugh too, peck your forehead and you’d continue to walk through hand in hand

my mtbi is intp-t, i’m an aries, and dressy more comfy outfits like big shirts and sweatpants. i’m an ‘05 liner i do lots of sports such as softball, track, and dance.

for my personality i’m a pretty introverted person but once i get to know someone i never shut up. i’m also not the best at showing my feelings and quite emotional but i don’t like showing people. i love to hang out with people i’m close with no matter what we’re doing i just enjoy being with the people i love. i’m quite competitive when it comes to games. i can become friends with almost anyone i jsut need to be comfortable enough to talk with them. many people describe me as a very trusting person and people feel comfortable telling me things. i’m definitely more of a listener but on occasion i will be very talkative with my feelings but not very often. i’m also very impulsive. i would consider myself an organized person too.

for my looks i’m a she/her, i’m around 153 cm, i have dark brown hair thats a little wavy at the ends but mainly straight. i have lots of freckles and i’m more on the tanner side for my skin color but not super dark (sorry if that’s confusing💀💀). my hair is currently short but normally it’s on the longer side but sometimes i’ll have random times where i want it short and cut it.

i listen to lots of music but i really enjoy slower music that i can just vibe with. i enjoy krnb, rnb, and pop. i will listen to and music and most of the time enjoy it but not country i dont really get down with country music.

i like to read, play games (like sims or minecraft but i’m open to try and game), i listen to music 24/7, i like dancing but i’m not the best at it. i’m also really picky with my food.

Relationships: I met a guy my first week at uni- and we were dating by the end of the 2nd week- stayed together just over a year, some stuff happened i wont get into right now but i haven’t been in a relationship since and we broke up Nov ‘11 so......

Break-ups: oh yeah- that. dude picked an evening i was stressed out about school work and already in tears trying to get my essays submitted by my deadline 45 min away and he turns to me like ‘are we even dating anymore?’

like, no- but i have to share a bed with you cuz i have nowhere else to go. thanks.

Kids: dont have any- dont see myself having any bio-kids because the idea of being pregnant is terrifying to me, and i know how many kids out there need homes and i grew up fostering- so if i ever have any it’ll be adopted :)

Pets: i dont currently have any- but grew up had a hamster named fluffy, we had black and white rats called sausage and chip, we had tiny turtles/tortoises when we lived abroad (i was little), we had a few dogs that unfortunately werent a great fit with our family who were rehomed with better suiting environments (hector needed more space, went to live on a local farm, harry needed to not be around our cats) we had 2 felix cats; george and pippa, a black cat named kitty- and my mum still has Marigold (super fluff)

Surgeries: none *knock wood*

Tattoos: none so far

Countries I’ve been to: Hong Kong, China, England, Scotland, Belgium, France, Japan, USA, Canada- and technically Amsterdam because one year when i was around 8 me and my big bro were ‘unaccompanied minors’ and our first flight was late and we missed the connecting flight and put us up in a hotel room overnight. an 8 year old and an 11 year old. nightmare. and ive had layovers in a few countries but they dont count cuz never left the airport

Been in an airplane: so many- prob an average of 2 flights per year of my life? idk i havent done the math

Sang karaoke: in a group and by myself most days :P

Ice skating: i had lessons in a mall in hong kong back in the 90s- then as a teenager i took up hockey for a while

Been on a cruise: nope- tbh the idea of it kinda scares me more than flying

Rode a motorbike: nope- but i really wanted to as a teenager- i did a bunch of research but ultimately i couldn’t afford to

Ridden a horse: yup! but it’s been a long time since i was last on one

Stayed in a hospital: unfortunately- once when i was a tiny in hong kong- i’m told it was very dramatic and touch and go- but i have no memory of it-  beware of mould spores and little lungs. and once when i was studying in new york- the most expensive night of my life (that luckily for me my much wealthier relatives took care of)

Favorite fruit or berry: i love strawberries- like with froyo, dipped in chocolate, in eton mess, on a cheesecake 

Favorite color: changes daily- i couldnt tell ya

Last text: was to a mate of mine laughing about Link seemingly installing some sort of pulley system to transport rhett’s shirts into his closet

Coffee or tea: i... only drink like... arnold palmers/very sweet lemon tea 🙈

Favorite pizza: i do a bbq chicken pizza from dominos but sub out the peppers for ground beef- and then i dunk it in garlic herb dip. but i’m sure if i lived somewhere with better options i wouldnt have dominos as my go to. I did love giordano’s deep dish- just the individual cheese- or just with ground beef and cheese- one of those individual pizzas fed me for a week back in college :’)

Cat or dog:

Favorite time of the year: prob fall/winter- its cool enough to wear sweaters, and not overheat when i pile under like 5 blankets- and i get to wear lots of flannel/boots- i can start to wear my beanie again- i just like being cozy :P also its my birthday a few days before halloween- and then theres a bunch of food based holidays- its just kinda nice

I was wondering if you had any tips on how to update a wardrobe with more “adult” styles. I’m currently wearing tons of graphic tees but want to broaden my horizons and venture into more feminine “adult” clothing. Any tips would be appreciated! :)

I suppose by “feminine” you mean “girly” clothing, in which case I, a tomboy, am probably the worst person to ask lol

BUT given my tomboy-ness and the fact that I do try to dress “like a lady” for my job and stuff, perhaps I actually can be of some help. We might be similar in style and personality.

I just want to say: don’t sacrifice your style or personality. Because you will be uncomfortable. And you can still be fully feminine while being more toned down or a tomboy. Don’t confuse personality with being a woman.

Now, honestly it doesn’t have to be that difficult. Just find certain pieces you like. So for winter clothes, I rely heavily on scarves and cardigans. I don’t wear dresses in the winter or anything. And I can’t stand ruffly tops or anything. So I have a couple black shirts, some nice black boots, and that’s the basis for most of my outfits hah and then I just switch out different cardigans and scarves to essentially “change” the outfits. So I can get multiple outfits for work out of what is essentially one basic outfit. I do also have a couple of sweaters and those can be pretty too while also feeling comfortable.

In the summer, I have discovered that I do actually like wearing dresses. I do not own any skirts, though, because for whatever reason I do not like them. And even with my dresses, none of them have bows or ruffles or anything like that because I can’t stand that stuff haha. So they’re mostly pretty plain. Maybe some floral prints that I don’t mind. Speaking of which, some basic tank tops with tame patterns can go a long way. Find some of those you like and pair them with your jeans and “nice” sandals and you’re good to go. You really don’t have to go above and beyond to appear more “girly”

But I mean just figure out what you like and are comfortable with and build from there. I get the desire for wanting to be “girly” and “cute” but dont force yourself into what simply isn’t you. If you don’t feel comfortable in a dress... well you clearly don’t feel cute. Don’t force it on yourself. Because, as I said before, you don’t need that stuff to be a woman.

But really don’t think about it too hard. I have a plaid dress. That’s my style. It’s not frilly and pink and probably not a dress most of the girly girls on here would wear, but I think it’s cute. Idk. We all have our own style.

For the most part, I still wear t shirts and flannels and sweatshirts. I really only dress “like a girl” when I feel I need to or if I wake up feeling particularly girly for some reason and simply just want to (those days mostly happen in the summer haha). But no I’m mostly still Not A Girly Girl.

Just find what you like and roll from there. I hope I helped with some basic styling types for someone just diving into it haha. I try to thrift now, but I understand how that can be difficult when you don’t really have your own sense of style built yet. If you want a store that I think would be good for you, I’d check out Maurices. As far as women’s clothing goes, that’s a more reasonably priced store (especially if you only buy on sale lol) and it’s a pretty good variety for basic stuff like what I was talking about earlier.

But again. It’s all relative. I know the suburban/“farmhouse”/“trad” idea of “feminine beauty” that dominates the trad sphere is dainty jewelry and pastel skirts and ribbons. But, man, some of the girliest ladies I’ve known wear bulky jewelry of crosses and turquoise and Aztec print. It’s very much more western. So idk man. There are so many different cultures and beauty ideals in the world. Just wear what you want and embrace your own sense of style lol
