also thinking how yesterday when some of the underclassmen were talking about don g this one guy asked "what's the big tenor aria in that called again?" and i said "which one" and he was like "good point! :)" anyway he meant dalla sua pace and i appreciate that he did not question at all why i have an intimate enough knowledge of this fucking opera to be able to name the aria he was thinking of with almost no prompting

#he's a classical tenor but he also does conducting. and he's a nice guy i like him #ottavio as a character kinda sucks but he does have two (2) nice arias. and even tenors deserve some role diversity y'know #it's healthy to have some roles be Pathetic Guys Who Suck and not just Romantic Hero y'know #also he sang dalla sua pace with us in rep orchestra last semester which was fun he has a great voice.#he is now the only reason i can think abt don ottavio without immediate and unapologetic derision.#like yea ottavio sucks but at least he's cute!#anyway dalla sua pace vs il mio tesoro. they're both good idk if i can choose one i like better...#sasha speaks
