Hello everyone, Smite here!

Weeks are short and weekends are even shorter, so it is once again time for me to present to you stories, old and new, that I really enjoyed reading for different reasons. “Well what am I supposed to do?!”, I groaned at Ryosuke’s blunt comment on my plans. “I just don’t think you popping out of a huge-ass birthday cake would be her cup of tea.”, Ryosuke chuckled. I laid back on the couch and stretched my legs over Daiki’s lap. “Well what does she love?”, Daiki asked, shoving away my long legs but only getting them back on his lap again. 

I smirked and laid my head on my forearms, “Me, of course.”, I quipped and Ryosuke hit my forehead with the magazine he was holding. “You can’t give yourself-”, Ryosuke paused knowing that I would have the clap-back for that. I turned to him and he groaned already knowing what I was about to say. “Don’t say it anymore, Inoo.”, he groaned and laughed. 

“Cats. Does she like cats?”, Daiki asked and immediately, I felt like a light bulb popped out of the top of my head and was LIT. “That’s it!!”, I sat up suddenly and accidentally hit Daiki with my torso. “I’ll get her a cat!”, I exclaimed and Ryosuke applauded. “Amazing! Wonderful! Fantastic! An hour of thinking about your plan and you end up with cats which was your first plan anyway.”, he sarcastically said and clapped his hands slowly. I stood up from the couch and waved the two midgets a goodbye. “Where are you going?”, both of them asked. “To the pet store of course.”, I made my way to the door and I paused to make a dramatic exit.

“It’s okay, Y/N, I’ve got NYAAA!”,

I exclaimed. There was a silence between the three of us until I cleared my throat. “That was too much wasn’t it.”, I admitted and the two of them nodded. “Okay... bye.”, I awkwardly waved and pursed my lips leaving the lounge room at work. 

“So. Many. Cats.”, I thought as I took my first step into the cat section. “Hello, Sir. How may I help you?”, a lady approached me and I gulped. I DON’T KNOW HOW YOU CAN HELP ME. I’ve learned a few things about cats since I’ve been in shows where... you know... I’ve been one. But I don’t know all the breeds and all the technicalities that come with choosing a cat. I awkwardly shook my head to the lady and she smiled and left. 

I approached the first cat I saw. An Abyssi-.... Abysina-..... Aby-.... Okay how the hell do you read this. I read the katakana and I finally understood it. Okay, I’m not that good at English. I moved on to the next cat since I didn’t think an Abyssinian would fit her. 

American Shorthair. What the hell, what’s America doing here. I blinked at the cat that was staring back up at me and it just stared weirdly at me. “Excuse me, can I hold this one for a second?”, I asked the staff and they happily opened the cage letting me pick up the cat from its bed. I held it up in front of me and it stared blankly at me. “Meow”, I whispered and it blinked. It didn’t feel like the right cat for her. 

Next cat, Beerman... Burman.... Birman... I meant Birman. HOLY SHIT IT’S GRUMPY CAT! Oh my god isn’t this Chinen’s favorite old meme?! I took my phone out and took a picture of the cat. I giggled to myself and sent it to Chinen.

[Group chat: hey! say! expensive juice]

Inyaa: CHINEN OMG IT’S GRUMPY CAT

I turned off my phone and slipped it back into my pocket. “Excuse me, Ms. Do you have a Scottish Fold here?”, I approached one of the staff members. “I’m sorry, Scottish Folds are kind of rare here.”, she bowed and I nodded. I ran out of the store and into my car driving to the nearest possible pet store. 

“Is there a Scottish Fold available here?”

“I’m sorry, but we have none.”

“Excuse me, but are you selling a Scottish Fold here?”

“We’re not, sorry.”

I tried many stores, about 6 of them, but none of them had that breed. It was starting to get dark and Y/N was about to come home. I didn’t know where to go or where to find one. I had texted the guys for help but they told me there weren’t any stores right now that had the cat. I squatted on the sidewalk, tired from all the running. 

This is the most exercise I’ve done in like 27 years.

I looked up to see a small pet store and I thought that checking for one wouldn’t hurt. I walked into the store, the door chime ringing and alarming the old lady by the counter. “How may I help you, young man.”, she smiled. “Do you have a Scottish Fold around here?”, I asked her and her smile grew even wider. 

“Why of course we do.”, she said.

VICTORY. IS. MINE. She walked me over to the cat section and she brought out the dark gray cat and handed it over to me. I held it up in front of me and I blinked. It blinked its bright yellow eyes and I smiled. “Meow.”, I whispered and it surprisingly meowed back. “Cute.”, I giggled.

“I’ll take it.”

Dimmed lights, check. Streamers ready to release, check. Party hat, check. Cat paws, check. Scottish Fold, check. Y/N, not checked yet.

I hid under the table in the living room of her apartment as I wait for her to come from the parking lot. The moment she texted, “I just pulled up in the parking lot :)”, I SCREAMED. I put the cat back in the box, I dimmed the lights really low and I think I just stumbled on every item in the room just to find my spot under the table. But none of that matters if it’ll make her smile. I heard the footsteps outside the door and I prepared myself to surprise her.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!”, I exclaimed, releasing the streamers onto her head which earned a squeal from her. She was laughing, trying to untangle herself from the streamers I’ve just released on her. I moved towards her, wrapping my arms around her body and resting my chin on the top of her head. She then let go of the streamers, letting it fall on the ground, and she embraced me back in return. “Thank you, Kei.”, she mumbled in my chest sending butterflies in my stomach. 

“Wait”, I moved my head away from her. She looked up at me, eyes glistening and smile broad on her face. I moved down to the box near us and I faced her before opening it. “Close your eyes.”, I told her and she giggled. “What’s up, Kei.”, she giggled and closed her eyes. I opened the box and picked up the cat. “Hold your hands out.”, I said and she did. 

I grazed the cat’s fur on her arms and she immediately opened her eyes and it grew wide. “OH MY GOD!”, she exclaimed, covering her mouth with both of her hands and her eyes starting to tear up. She tittered as she fell down to her knees, not believing what she just saw. I sat down with her and she finally caught her breath and calm down. “Can I hold it?”, she cheekily smiled and I giggled. “Not without a kiss on the cheek.”, I tapped my cheek and pouted and she laughed. “Are you a child?”, she joked and moved towards me about to kiss my cheek when I faced her to kiss her lips. “Sneaky!”, she covered her mouth laughing.

Girls’ Generation members and more friends had a glamorous party for Tiffany’s birthday, and they also used the occasion to celebrate their upcoming 13th anniversary!  Tiffany’s birthday was on August 1, and a party was held for the big day, with many members of Girls’ Generation taking part, as well as friends including former SISTAR member Bora, former Secret member Hyosung, and more. As Girls’ Generation’s 13th debut anniversary is coming up on August 5, they also celebrated it at the party!  Tiffany shared many photos on her Instagram with the caption “Feeling loved.” Sooyoung hilariously replied to tag Leonardo Dicaprio and say, “please say HBD for my sista oppa.”   In her stories, Tiffany shared pictures including a decorated table while tagging Taeyeon, Sunny, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, YoonA, Seohyun, Bora, Hyosung, and Kim Ji Young.   Hyoyeon recruited Tiffany and Seohyun for the dance challenge for her single “Dessert” and wished Tiffany a happy birthday!  Sunny shared cute photos with Tiffany and wrote, “Now if we don’t do our ‘signature,’ it’s disappointing~ Just as expected of our passionate Tiffany! You’re amazing for not only celebrating your birthday but also Girls’ Generation’s 13th anniversary!! Let’s be happy, our Tiffany. #GG4EVA.”  Sooyoung wrote, “She doesn’t know what ‘enough’ is when it comes to work and people, so she’s always doing her best to an overflowing amount. Whenever I’m feeling down, she’s the one who breaks down my door and comes in to yell, ‘Don’t feel discouraged, my friend!’ and brings me out. You make me wish for your happiness more so than my own. Don’t ever be discouraged, my person. I’m always supporting you. #HappyBirthday.”  Seohyun shared photos from the party too and wrote, “A passionate and cool person, a person who is always sincere, and a person who is so beautiful when she smiles while her heart is even more beautiful.” She called Tiffany someone who “shines brighter than mushrooms” and wrote, “Thank you for always being by my side.” She added in English, “Love you sis,” and she jokingly asked why their eyes look like that in the photo.  She also shared more shots from the birthday party and the “Dessert” dance challenge!  Yuri posted photos with the captions “Luv Gorg” and “My most precious friends, I love you.
