Hajime no Ippo Hyperfixation

My boyfriend was watching Ippo, and I had to stop what I was doing and watch too. I got started during the Date vs Ippo fight and was immediately hooked. I just love how grounded the fights are, and how well they explain boxing to those who know nothing about it. I'm now hyperfixated on boxing too now because of this anime lmao. Also, love Ippo and Miyata's relationship. I made an oc and Everything haha. His name is Ryan, and I'm basing his fighting style off of Joe Cazalghe!

Plz someone talk to me about this anime.

Just started watching Hajime No Ippo and I have to say, the sound design is pretty awesome. The standard stuff all sounds great but then there's other creative stuff which really pushes it over the edge.

Hell yeah, give those flicker jabs a sword sound effect, play the sound of a plane engine revving up when a guy's preparing a barrage of punches. That's my jam.

On the other hand, 3 episodes in and I am absolutely in love with hajime no ippo. A lot of the same aspects that failed to make me invested in deku have me charmed by ippo.

Also this, I forgot that shigeta’s left wasn’t as strong, thank you oomf for reminding me, but still, he’d be ambidextrous , just not a natural one. Since his left isn’t so strong, it can be connect to kangaroos left handed ways are limited to some things, just like how shigeta’s left is limited

TIL the author of Hajime no Ippo opened up an actual boxing gym based off Kamogawa Boxing gym from the manga.

Even has Takamura’s statue on top. It’s also not just a tourist trap. It’s a real gym with a real training staff and real professionally trained boxers.

As I mentioned in another post I've never been a fan of the AU, not because I don't like them but because I haven't had the opportunity to research or interact with one of these, BUT THIS IS A VERY DIFFERENT CASE, I started to look what this AU was about and I love the concept (Hajime no Ippo is my third favorite anime, I like boxing :3), but especially the character design, the design IS GOOOOOOOD, I love how @burrotello draws the characters of Tadc, it's too good and I love it. I wanted to make a drawing of Ragatha, but after trying it like 3 hours I realized that I don't know how to draw hair of her style :v, so I decided to make Pomni that I also like.
