15.19--freedom
“Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose/Nothing, don’t mean nothing if it ain’t free, no, no”--Janis Joplin
---
Freedom.
Dean rolls the word around on the tip of his tongue and tastes how it feels. Freedom.
It’s a strange concept, especially since he always assumed that he was. Ever since Apocalypse Version 1.0 was averted, Michael and Lucifer locked in the cage, thanks very much, he’s always assumed that he was the one calling the shots. No matter how badly he fucked up (and he fucked up a lot), he could at least take comfort in the fact that those were his choices. No one’s hand up Dean Winchester’s ass, no siree.
And then Chuck came and ripped that certainty away from him in one quick motion and then...everything was suspect. Sam, Mom, Jack...Cas. Every word, every action, every emotion... He couldn’t trust anything, so he trusted nothing.
He still wakes up from nightmares with those words echoing in his head: You’re dead to me. He bolts upright, almost puking, because he can’t believe his past self, he can’t believe that those words came out of his mouth, to Cas, to Cas of all people--
He splashes water on his face and notices that his hand is shaking. His stomach churns in warning, but he doesn’t think he’s going to puke. However, he also doesn’t think he’s going back to sleep tonight.
He and Sam are in the bunker, but he knows they won’t stay. It’s too empty now, their voices echoing through the halls and rooms. Maybe once, he would have been all right with that, would have even enjoyed it, but now, he can’t bear it. He remembers all too well how it felt to have Jack’s voice bouncing through the kitchen as he talked about the latest movie they had watched, or how it felt to just feel Cas behind him as he moved through the kitchen.
Every time he makes his breakfast, he’s reminded of what he lost. Every time he and Sam come back to the bunker, there’s the sinking disappointment to find themselves alone once more. Dean ends up spending most of his days in his room because anywhere else freaks him out. He can’t stop whipping his head to look over his shoulder, halfway convinced that he’ll find someone standing behind him. He’s always disappointed when he finds himself alone.
He and Sam are going to leave the bunker behind. He doesn’t know when and he doesn’t know what for, but he knows that it’s going to happen.
He asks Sam one afternoon why he hasn’t left yet. Eileen is waiting for him, biding her time a hell of a lot more patiently than Dean would, and Sam still isn’t going to her and starting the American dream life. And one afternoon, Dean either runs out of fucks and gathers up his last little shreds of courage, and asks him.
“So when are you going to move in with Eileen? I can’t imagine that she’s going to wait for your gigantor ass forever.”
Sam looks at him from across the table. There’s a book open in front of him, but Dean doesn’t think that he’s read a word. He knows that he’s been stuck on the same screen on his phone for several minutes. Without the pressing urgency of saving the world, things just seem so...pointless. Which is not necessarily bad. But it means that he and Sam spend a lot of slow, lingering afternoons like this, with just the two of them wandering through the bunker and occasionally bouncing off of each other like two very faulty pinballs stuck in a malfunctioning machine.
“She’s fine,” Sam says, which isn’t an answer. “She understands what’s happening.”
Dean’s glad that someone understands because he surely has no fucking clue.
---
His life falls into a kind of routine. Wake up, make breakfast. Find pointless chores to do around the bunker. Make lunch. Watch some bullshit shows on TV. Make dinner. Have a beer. Fall asleep.
He feels like the worst kind of retiree, devoid of purpose.
Sure, there are occasional hunts, but he doesn’t feel the need to go on them. The world is turning, same as it always did, and there are other hunters in the world. If that’s one thing that he learned through these past years, it’s that he doesn’t have to do everything.
(Plus, he and Sam literally defeated God, so he thinks they deserve some time off.)
The forced retirement doesn’t make him happy. The bunker is the cleanest that it’s ever been and he doesn’t feel happy about it. There’s a gaping hole in his chest that’s shaped like the rest of his family, and he can’t sleep at night. He makes dinner and all he can think about are the empty places at the table.
Sam sticks his head into Dean’s room. It’s a regular day, though Dean doesn’t bother to note either the actual date or the day of the week anymore. Time blends together in an endless cycle of waking, chores, and sleeping, because without a purpose to hold him together, he’s slowly falling apart.
“I’m going to head out,” Sam says. Dean notices that he doesn’t put a timeline on his departure. “You should get out too.”
Dean raises his eyebrows but doesn’t ask the obvious question: Where would he go? Sam, slightly chagrined, scuffs his feet against the floor. “Maybe go see Jody, Donna, and the girls? See if Charlie and Stevie want a third on their hunt? Bobby said something about building up his library here.”
“Yeah,” Dean says, with absolutely no intention of following through on any of those suggestions. He’s not quite wallowing in his own grief and filth (every time he tries to crawl back into a bottle, he just remembers the pinched look at the corners of Cas’ eyes whenever he would find Dean halfway through a bender, and that memory effectively nixes any desire he might have had to crawl into the nearest bottle), but he’s not exactly the poster boy for healthy coping strategies either.
“Dean.”
Dean hates that note in Sam’s voice, the oh-so-soft and sensitive tone that could soothe widows and lull children. He hates even more that it’s being turned on him, hates most of all that he derives comfort from it.
“I don’t get it,” Dean finally says, because if Sam is leaving then he might be losing his chance to ask his question aloud. “I don’t get...I mean, Jack could have brought him back. He could have done it. I could have asked him. I was right fucking there, and I didn’t ask.”
He’s dissected those moments in his head until there’s nothing left, and he’s forced to cobble them back together like some Frankenstein of memories just so he can take them apart all over again. Why didn’t he ask Jack to bring Cas back? Why didn’t Jack do it of his own free will? Jack knew how he much he needed Cas; hell, Jack brought him back once before when he wasn’t God. So why couldn’t he do it then, when Dean needed him the most?
“I don’t know,” Sam says, still in that same soft voice. “Maybe...maybe it was like Mom? I mean, Cas made his choice. For better or worse, he made it, and maybe Jack thinks that we need to respect it?”
A thick lump rises in his throat. Cas’ face replays in his nightmares, tear-stricken and yet smiling, peace and grief shining in his eyes. I love you. Like it was the easiest thing in the world to say at that moment. Like it was all he’d ever wanted to say.
“I never...” Dean swallows, but he doesn’t manage to chase away the horrid feeling rising in his chest. “I never said it back to him, Sam. I never...all those times he said it to us, and I never...he died, thinking that no one loved him. The one thing I want, I know I can’t have, is what he said to me.”
Dean doesn’t necessarily have a list of his regrets (there are too many to really list), but if he did, then he knows this would be at the top of it. Cas sacrificed himself, Cas let himself get taken, Cas died, and all to save someone who he believed didn’t love him back.
How could he not know?
Dean knows he’s not necessarily Mr. Subtle; he knows Sam knows. Their enemies damn sure have seemed to figure out through the years exactly where Dean’s heart lies. How could Cas, as brilliant as he was, as insightful, as compassionate as he was, not understand that Dean’s been lost on him, quite possible since the first time he walked through those barn doors?
Sam’s face goes on a journey and it ends up at about the same place that Dean feels. Maybe now Sam understands why it’s so much effort for him to just make it out of his room.
“He thought it was worth it,” Sam finally says. “Even if he thought...At the end, it was still worth it to him.”
You were still worth it, is left unsaid, but Dean hears the echo nonetheless. There’s an accusation there which he doesn’t want to confront, but he has to nonetheless.
“I can’t stay here anymore,” Sam finally says. “I can’t...” When he looks at Dean, his eyes are glistening. There’s a plea for understanding in his face. “There’s a whole world out there that I haven’t gotten to see since...since Stanford really. Since ever. I can finally go out there and walk around and not worry that something’s going to come after me. I can finally...” Sam rubs a corner of his shirt between his fingers. “You always said that I wanted a normal life, and I did, for a while. Then, when I figured that it was never going to happen, I stopped myself from wanting it, because what was the point? When everything we had got ripped away from us, what was the point of anything? But now...”
“If you start now, then you can probably make Des Moines by night,” Dean offers. It’s all he can say, but it’s enough.
Sam smiles, his eyes glassy. “I’ll call you when I get there.”
It’s not a goodbye, but it is. It’s the bonds of desperation and codependency snapping and shattering and reforming into something else. Dean doesn’t know how to love his brother in this new world. All he knows is that Sam deserves to live the life he’s deserved.
Dean closes his eyes.
When he opens them, Sam is gone.
---
That night, he goes up on the roof of the bunker. It’s cold, but not unbearable. There’s a light drizzle falling which strengthens to a gentle shower the longer he stays outside.
Dean closes his eyes and looks up at the sky. Out here, the stars shine clearer than ever before, visible even through the rainclouds.
He can’t help but think of Jack. His son. He can say those words now, acknowledge that Jack gave him everything he really wanted; the chance at a family, the chance to erase some of his father’s sins. Jack was gentle, he was kind, he was loving, he was theirs. And then he was gone.
Cas, Jack, Sam...
“What am I supposed to do?” Dean asks the rain, the same wild pain rising up in his throat. “What am I supposed to do now?”
---
He makes it back inside, damp and cold, and strips himself. He should shower, but he can’t be bothered, so he falls into bed naked and shivering. Not like it matters; no one is around to see him anyway. He falls into a fitful doze and is only awakened hours later by the soft sounds of someone moving around his room.
He bolts upright, snatching his gun out from underneath his pillow, because old habits die never. He blinks the sleep out of his eyes as his heartbeat catches up with his adrenaline. “Sam?” he asks, and then, more tentatively, “Jack?”
His desk lamp blazes into the life with a soft snap. Dean’s heart leaps into his throat.
Cas smiles at him, the same as always, sadness always lurking in his eyes and at the corners of his mouth. Dean finally understands why he looks that way.
“Hello, Dean,” Cas says. The sound of his voice sends shivers down Dean’s spine, but the hair on his arms doesn’t rise. Dean understands then.
“This is a dream.” He lowers the gun. His heart slows to normal and disappointment is bitter in his mouth. “You’re not really here.”
Cas’ mouth lifts in a lopsided smile. “It’s as real as you make it.”
“Don’t fucking Dumbledore me,” Dean mutters. He rubs at his temples. Somehow, even lucid dreaming has lost its appeal. Talking to Cas isn’t appealing when he knows that he’s just talking to his own subconscious.
“I fail to see what a fictional wizard of questionable sexuality has to do with this.”
“Good to know that my subconscious has your sense of humor down.” Dean glares at Cas. “Why the fuck are you here, anyway? It’s a dick move, even for my brain.”
“Maybe because I’m the person you want to see? I don’t know. It’s your head, not mine.”
“Yeah. No offense, but I think I’m just going to go back to sleep. Or wake up. I don’t know. Whatever it is, I don’t need to see you anymore. It’s just...It really hurts, all right?”
“I’m not real, so you’re not really hurting my feelings.”
“Good. Well, now that we have that sorted out.” Dean punches his pillow as a punishment for betraying him, before he turns back to Cas. “I miss you,” he says, because he’s weak and always has been.
“Dean.” The sound of Cas’ voice always manages to make Dean stop and now is no different. He turns around and looks at Cas.
Somehow, Cas looks more solid around the edges. The lines around his eyes are more pronounced, and if Dean turns his head at just the right angle, he thinks he can see grey silvering at Cas’ temple.
“Sam was right,” Cas says. “I made a choice. That’s what this was all about, ever since the beginning. Making choices, running our own course, picking our own path.”
“Yeah, thanks for rubbing it in,” Dean mutters. The last thing he needs is his subconscious reminding him that once again, Cas decided that he wasn’t good enough to stay with.
“But that doesn’t mean that you can’t make a choice as well,” Cas continues, ignoring him. “There’s nothing to stop you. You can make whatever choices you want and take the consequences that come with them. And if you make the right choices, then maybe...” Cas bites his lip, looking almost nervous. “Then maybe I can make some choices too.”
Dean opens his mouth to argue--Cas is dead, the time for making decisions has come and gone--but his subconscious is a dick, and before he can say anything, his dream fades away in a wash of black.
---
Dean wakes up energized. His eyes open into the same room, but it’s different somehow. It’s ridiculous, because the bunker is underground, but it’s almost like he sees the sun shining through his windows. Even the air tastes different. For the first time in weeks, he gets out of bed without dreading every step away from his mattress.
He glances at his phone. There’s a message from Sam along with a picture. In it, Eileen and Sam smile at the camera, their heads pressed together at the temple. There’s still a shadow of sadness in their eyes--they’ve all lost too much to be truly carefree ever again--but they look good. Happy. Whole.
Cas’ words echo back at him, both from the dream and from those last, horrible, terrifying moments.
Everything you did, you did for love.
You can make a choice.
Dean starts towards the library.
---
It takes him three weeks of almost non-stop research to cobble together enough spells to make something that has the potential to work. This isn’t his strength; Sam is much more suited for this type of work, but he won’t bring Sam in on this. If this thing goes really damn badly, then it has the potential to wipe him off the face of the earth, goodbye Dean Winchester. If this thing does what he’s halfway expecting it to, which is nothing, then he’ll have gotten Sam’s hopes up for nothing. He’s not going to expose Sam to either danger or disappointment, not when Sam’s finally managed to get to some kind of happiness.
If everything goes well...
Dean won’t let himself think about that.
He spends two days smoothing out the kinks in the spell, double and triple checking his translations. He gathers his ingredients, and then spends another hour pacing around the library. His stomach is roiling, and his nerves are jittery. He can’t bear to stop, but he can’t bear to move forward.
The memory of Cas’ smile spurs him into action. Cas went to his death a willing martyr for a man who he believed didn’t love him back. He can’t let that stand. If anything else, Cas has to know.
The drive to Pontiac, Illinois takes him the better part of a day. The impala springs forward across the asphalt, almost like she’s eager to eat up the miles after her forced retirement. Dean pushes hard down on the gas pedal, urging her forward. One way or another, this is going to come to an end tonight.
It takes him a while to find the barn. The last time he was here, he wasn’t in his right mind, still reeling from the horrors of Hell and the confusion of finding himself alive. He’d been scared and angry, lost and so very alone. And then an angel had walked through the door and told him that good things happened, that he deserved to be saved. The last little bit might have been a line fed to Cas by a bunch of dickhead superiors, but the sentiment behind it had stayed long after those superiors were all dead.
They replaced the doors which Cas shattered and painted over the walls which Dean and Bobby covered with sigils, but if Dean looks carefully, he can see the shadows of them behind the new coat of whitewash. He touches them gently for a second, remembering Bobby and all of the years which led him back to this place. Then he pulls out his can of spray paint and proceeds to deface the barn all over again.
When he’s done, he sets up the ingredients on the table. The table is where it was all those years ago, facing the doors to the barn. He doesn’t quite believe that Cas is going to pull the same trick, storming through the doors in a shower of sparks, but he can always hope.
“God...Jack,” Dean corrects himself with a wry twist of his mouth, “I really hope this works. Cas, wherever you are, I really hope you have your ears on.”
Dean looks at his translations and begins to speak. He’s hoping that intention counts for something as his tongue stumbles over the unfamiliar words. His heart beats an uncertain pulse in his chest. This has to work. It has to work.
He puts every ounce of belief into his voice, every bit of the faith Cas once accused him of not having. I have faith, he thinks, putting force behind his voice, sending his words rocketing into the dimensions. I believe in us.
What’s real?
We are.
The last syllables roll over his tongue, followed immediately by a peal of thunder. The barn shivers, a ripple rolling through the air to settle over Dean’s skin. Electricity crackles in the air, filling him with potential.
“Castiel?” he calls to the darkness. “Cas?”
There’s no answer, but the spells and research had been unclear on whether or not there should be an answer. He would prefer knowing that Cas was listening, but in absence of certainty, he’ll have to have faith.
“Cas, I really hope you can hear me,” he says. The words bring back the memories of Purgatory and a time when he and Cas could barely look at each other. He pushes those memories away and concentrates on the truth he can feel in his heart, the same truth which has guided him through the years and all the way from Lebanon, Kansas to the small barn where it all began all those years ago.
“I know you made your choice. I know you were happy. But...it’s not the same without you. I’m not the same without you. I wake up and think about you, and you’re the last thing I think about before I go to sleep at night. Every moment, you’re there because you’re not there. I look at all the places you’re missing and I can’t help but think that everything would be better if you were there.”
Dean swallows. “I miss you,” he confesses to the night. “Cas, I miss you so much. And I want you to come back. Not because I need you or because there’s something to fight against, but just because I miss you and life is better when you’re around.” He thinks of what Sam told him before he went. “There’s a new world out there, and I can’t think of who I would rather explore it with than you, but in order to do that, you’ve got to make a choice, all right?”
His heart is pounding so hard he thinks it might explode out of his chest. “I want to share my life with you. I want to figure out this world together. I want to be able to look at you and hold you and experience everything with you. Cas, I want to tell you what I should have told you every single day for years. I’m sorry that I never told you while you were with me. And I’m sorry that the first time I say it, I’m not going to be looking at you, but it wouldn’t be our lives if something about this wasn’t shitty, right?”
Dean takes a deep breath. “I love you, Cas. Not because of what you can do or how useful you are. I love you because of who you are and how hard you try. And I want to say it to you, every single day, for years to come. I’ve made my choice, Cas. Now you just need to make yours.”
Silence overtakes the barn. The only sound is the faint whistling of the wind through the slats of the barn and the quick rasp of his breathing. There’s no flap of wings, no deep voice growling in his ears, no pop of electricity.
“Please, Cas,” Dean whispers, closing his eyes to try and stop the burning behind them. “Please.”
Thunder rolls through the barn, shaking through the wood down to the dirt floor. Dean’s head jerks upright as he scans the barn. “Cas?” he calls, hardly daring to hope. “Castiel?”
A thin, golden thread rips open in the air before him. It looks almost exactly like the rifts between worlds which Jack used to create, but that’s not possible.
It’s not possible, but Dean dares to hope anyway.
“Castiel? Cas?”
A single hand reaches out through the golden tear, and then Dean is moving, he’s practically tripping over his own feet in his haste to reach the rift. “Cas, Cas, please,” he’s saying, not quite aware of the words which are tumbling from his mouth. “Please.”
Until his fingers grip the hand, he’s not sure that it’s real, but that’s solid flesh and bone underneath his palm. Dean pulls, feeling resistance on the other end. “No,” he grunts, reaching into the rift. His hand touches skin, and his resolve grows. He didn’t come this far only to lose. They haven’t come this far only to fall apart.
“I want you,” he says, as though the force of his words can rip through the veil. “Cas, please, come home, Cas, please--”
With an almighty heave, he pulls once more and then he’s falling backward, another body tumbling against his in an ungainly pile of limbs and bodies. There’s skin and there’s warm, and there’s weight. Out of the corner of his eye, Dean sees the rift close up, as neatly as if it were never there at all.
He doesn’t care about that. He can’t, not now.
Dean looks down at the body sprawled across his lap. There are miles upon miles of naked skin for him to peruse, and he hopes that he’ll be able to do so later at his leisure, but for now, all he can concentrate on are those two luminous eyes blinking up at him.
“Cas?” Dean asks, hardly daring to believe. His hands cup Castiel’s face, fingers sweeping a few locks of dark hair off of his forehead.
Castiel blinks at him, his dark eyelashes fanning over his cheeks. A slow smile creeps across his face, like the dawn spreading across the horizon. “Dean,” he says, his voice the same as it always was, but this time it’s better, because it’s a voice that Dean never thought he’d hear again.
“Cas.” It’s the only word Dean seems capable of saying, but words don’t seem important anymore, not when he can lean forward and press his lips to Cas’, not when he can taste the small sigh of surprise on Cas’ lips. “Cas, I missed you so much, oh god, Cas, there’s so much I want to tell you, there’s so much I want to do--”
Cas interrupts him with another kiss, his arms threading around Dean’s shoulders to pull him closer. Gentle fingers tug at the hair at the nape of his neck, and Dean thinks that he could live in this moment forever.
But before he does that, there’s something else which needs to happen first. Dean pulls away, ignoring the small whine of protest from Cas.
“Cas, there’s something I need to tell you,” he starts, only to be interrupted.
“I know,” Cas says, his face splitting into a wide, gummy smile. No shadow lurks behind his eyes, no hint of tears glisten in his eyes. There’s just happiness, radiant and absolute, gleaming from his face.
“I heard your prayer.”
Maybe once upon a time, Dean would have been satisfied with that answer, but not anymore.
“I love you,” Dean whispers, pressing the words into Cas’ skin with gentle kisses over his temple and cheeks. “I love you, I love you, I love you, and I’m going to tell you every day until you get sick of it.”
“You’ll have to try for a very long time,” Castiel answers, his fingers tracing along Dean’s jaw. “I like hearing those words very much.”
Dean can’t help but kiss him again. As he does so, he feels the lost and scattered pieces of his heart knitting back together until he can finally breathe for the first time in months. “Come on,” he says, once he surfaces for air. “Let’s go.”
It only hits him then that Cas is naked. Apparently rebirth and snagging people out of alternate dimensions results in a distinct lack of clothing. Dean’s eyes want to travel over the skin revealed to him, but he waits. There will be time, he realizes with a tiny thrill of delight. He and Cas have all the time in the world.
He manages to find a blanket to wrap around Cas’ shoulders. It will do until they get out to the car where he has a spare set of clothes. For now, he helps Cas to his feet. Cas looks around him, his eyes wide and huge, as though he’s overwhelmed with the world around him.
“Where are we headed?” Cas asks as they head towards the door. The Impala waits outside, beckoning them forward once more.
Dean grins as the cool night air washes over them. It’s gentle and soft, eternity held in the breeze. There’s a world held within the palm of tonight, a world held within the rest of their lives.
“Wherever we want,” he answers, stepping out of the shadow of the barn and into the world.
As they walk towards the Impala, a light rain begins to fall.

*THE* mean-girl-dean-girl's Supernatural reboot MEGAPOST!
I'm gonna stick a little "keeping reading" here because hoooooo boy, this is a very long post.
Let's start with
Plot
Season 1
Dean kills John while they are out on a hunt in a crime of passion, but Dean doesn't remember because he blacked out. Cue Dean going to Stanford to get Sam and tell him "Dad's on a hunting trip... and he hasn't been home in a couple days."
The audience doesn't know what happened to John, but slowly figures it out with Dean and Sam as Dean slowly remembers what happened that night.
The entire first season, the boys are following the trail John left and fighting monsters as well. They find out Dean was with John, Sam realizes Dean has an unreliable memory, they have heart to hearts about their childhood and the fire, they find John's body, "how could you kill Dad?" but maybe Dean didn't kill dad, whooaaaaaa, misdirection.
It was actually good ole yeller eyes (Azazel) and he made it look like Dean killed John.
Okay, now let's move on to the first episode
Not sure how the opening would work, I would like the story of the fire to be revealed over the course of the first season, but maybe the opening scene could be a little bit of an establishing character relationships and backstory, idk, I haven't thought that far yet.
I'm thinking maybe it's like, Dean gets back to a motel room covered in blood and he listens to a voicemail on his phone from John saying he was on a hunt or something, I don't really know lol.
HOWEVER
I do know that after the intro rolls, we get a scene of Sam waking up to his alarm and "Nine to Five" by Dolly Parton starts playing.
Y'all know where this is going.
Cue a montage of Sam's normal Stanford college life (him sitting through lectures, walking through the campus with friends) spliced with scenes of Dean absolutely slaughtering a nest of vampires (or some other monsters, whatever works best.)
But
Now onto
Characters!!! (And descriptions)
Dean Winchester
Some lovely person on this site made edits of Dean with platinum blond hair and it made me feel some kind of way so we're doing that, homie's gonna have platinum blond hair
Side note about the hair, later when the brothers are running from the FBI he dyes it a dirty blond/light brown (insert jackles hair color controversy here) as a disguise.
He also gets tattoos because we were robbed.
Speaking of tattoos, concept: when Dean comes back from Hell, all of his tattoos are gone. His body is a clean slate, devoid of tattoos, scars, etc. So he gets his tattoos done all over again, which he doesn't mind because he made some bad, drunk tattoo decisions in his youth.
(And before you ask, yes, he does get one for Cas, either a bee or Cas's name in enochian, something cute.)
Dean goes to therapy after Sam gets sent to the Cage.
It's actually court mandated because he got in trouble, lol, he would never go to therapy on his own.
Along with the hair, Dean gets to be the grade A twunk we all know he is.
Sam Winchester
His hair gets longer in every scene he's in
No jk, but imagine
King of Microaggressions
Sam starts off like the sweetheart he is in season 1 but in later seasons he starts enjoying killing a little too much...
It's that demon blood, ba-by!!!
He brings up issues of morality to Dean, i.e. killing monsters who aren't hurting anyone. (Yes I know this is contradictory to my previous statement, but these two facets of Sam can and will coexist.)
Sam and Jess's relationship is explored further, meaning we'll need to start with a different inciting incident, but that's fine, I think everyone can agree fridgings are *(thumbs down)*
Sam doesn't truly know what happened the night of the fire until later, and then he understands why Dean is so protective of him.
Jess
She gets to live beyond the first episode
She is also trans
No, I don't feel like I have to explain myself and I won't 💜
She urges Sam to join Dean in a search for their brother, kind of gets pulled into the hunter lifestyle by association lol.
She dies on a rusty nail after fighting vampires on a routine hunt with Sam
No jk!!!
But imagine....
She's amazing and I love her and Lucifer also uses her as leverage against Sam and possesses her because I think that'd be cool.
She supports Sam 100% and also she and Dean are buddies, pals if you will.
She meets Cas Thee El and immediately she Knows, that is a homosexual.
She dies still so that we can have a Saileen Endgame but she's not dying the first episode or in a fridging. Not on my watch.
Castiel
He gets to keep his raw, light-fixture-exploding power.
I want more of that "I pulled you out of hell, I can throw you back in" energy except over dumb shit like Dean not cleaning up after himself.
He looks like a Dilf in every scene he's in, yeah, that's right, dilf with a capital D for *(GUNSHOTS)* *(gets sent to horny jail)*
Claire
She gets pink hair
And more time with Cas
And maybe a nose piercing
Feel like she should be able to kill a couple angels onscreen, punch a couple homophobes
She gets to meet Jack and teaches him swears and fun slang words.
She deserves it.
Jack
I says "that's my baby and I'm proud."
Jack starts off as a baby, but like Amara he grows up super quickly.
Like, baby to 11 year old in a couple days or less.
This is because Jack's emotional age on the show is on par with that of a 5th grader.
It's at this point when he's a young kid that he runs away from the Bunker and shenanigans ensue.
It's also at this point that Dean threatens to k*ll him.
(Still not sure if I want that in my Supernatural (threatened infanticide? In my Supernatural? It's more likely than you think) but we'll see. We'll see.)
Throughout a majority of season 13, Jack is like an 11 y.o. kid
Season 14 he's like a 16 y.o. teenager
Season 15 he's 21, you get the picture.
Listen, I love Alex Calvert a lot. He's great.
But Jack is a child and should be a child.
Kelly Kline
Kelly, baby, stay right where you are, you're perfect.
Eileen
SHE DOESN'T DIE
SHE GETS TO BE IN THE FINALE BECAUSE SHE'S AMAZING AND I LOVE HER.
BLURRY WIFE WHO? I ONLY KNOW SAILEEN ENDGAME!
She teaches Claire and Jack swears in sign-language. Castiel is not impressed.
John
J*hn W*nchester stans, DNI.
He's dead.
We only see him in flashbacks and only sometimes hear his voice in voice overs.
He's not "down the road" from Dean in Heaven, in fact he instead gets to wander around in some Purgatory like Hell for the rest of his time :)
People who get to say "fuck" on the show:
Cas (but only Once)
Jody
Bobby
Now onto other things
I want more of
Ghostfacers
(they need more screentime because I love them)
Dean/Benny
We know they had a thing.
They definitely had a thing.
Demon Dean
Again, I feel like more should've been done with this. All that build up for what, 2 episodes? was not utilized well at all.
Dean's Bisexuality
Straight Dean truthers DNI, my Supernatural is a show about love and being true to yourself
You think Supernatural is a show about 2 straight brothers fighting monsters?
Naw bitch, this is a show about the Gay Experience
He will get to have relations with men on this show.
Of course, only after John dies does he, y'know, display it. Maybe he kisses Cas on his dad's grave just to fuck John over, make him roll in grave.
We all agree John would be/is a homophobe piece of shit, right?
Okay, glad we're on the same page.
Dads
3 men and a baby with Jack is what I'm saying.
I love it when the Trio are father-figures to younger troubled characters they see themselves in, even better if it's like reluctant-but-loving father figure, oh, that trope gets me every time :'^)
Dadstiel and DadDean are my favorites, but I like it when Sam plays "Uncle Sam" to kids too lol.
"Fellas, is it gay to want a tight knit family with your husband, his son, his vessel's daughter, your brother, his wife, your cop mother figure and her wife and their adopted daughters? Asking for a friend."
Garth
Biggest flaw of Supernatural was underutilizing Garth.
I will never not be bitter that Garth was only in like, 7 episodes out of the whole 15 season series.
Every episode with Garth gets immediately 5 times better.
I love Garth.
Follow ups on characters who had entire episodes featured around them and then just... vanished???
This is mostly about Jesse, the magic kid whose imagination ruled an entire town like, his daddy was a demon and nothing came of that kid??? Only one episode about him?? No follow up???
KID CAN MANIPULATE REALITY AND WE'RE NOT GONNA GET A FOLLOW UP ON THAT?????
Uh, there was that one episode with Ennis the guy whose girlfriend was killed by a monster? I think?? Who we never see again, that was weird.
Tamara from season 3, episode 1.
And of course-
Cassie
She was so cool, and then we never saw her again :////
She gets to be a badass.
Religious imagery
As a former Catholic school student who has become for the most part, disillusioned with religion, religious imagery in TV shows like Supernatural make my brain go "brrrrrr."
Fun episodes!!!
Like, after season 6 or so, there's a drop in funny episodes
I'm talking Changing Channels, The French Mistake type stuff. (Scoobynatural is an outlier and should not be counted.)
So anyway
In my version we would have more fun episodes
I'm thinking
GENDER-SWAP EPISODE, BABY!!
(why they didn't do that in the original, we'll never know.)
An episode where Dean gets to wear eyeliner
That's it, end of post.
I want less
Racism
Yeah I feel like this is self explanatory, nearly every reoccurring character in SPN is white, and black side characters normally die in the episode they first appear in, or they'll be featured as a villain (Uriel, Raphael, Billie, etc)
Also there's a lot of... uh... asian fetishism featured in the show (what with "Busty Asian Beauties) that's really gross, also Kevin was a bit of a stereotype...
Also also it's super yucky how they kill the gods from other religions like???? Uh??? That's super disrespectful, let's not do that????
I know Supernatural is like, inherently racist because monsters are a separate race that are seen as some dangerous "other" that must be eradicated by hunters in a form of genocide-
Okay we won't get into that but
Still
Stop killing all your POC
Fridgings/Unecessary murders of female characters
I know Supernatural starts with a fridging, so this will be a hard thing to remedy, but
One death that really pissed me off was the death of Charlie
Yeah, that was pointless and we're not doing that. Charlie gets to live and be an awesome aunt to Jack.
And also Claire
Charlie Bradbury Superiority
Charlie and Garth get to meet because they're nerd/geek solidarity.
British Men of Letters
I fucking hate these guys
They're "litcherally" the worst.
The worst part is that the actors they have playing the British AREN'T. EVEN. BRITISH.
And you can tell
Uh, and that's all for now, I'll add more later.
tag list for people who liked my "if this post gets one like I'll post my SPN reboot masterpost" post.
@darianyunidi @sarasidlesaid @crazybananaalpaca @playfulpanthress @ultfreakme @fififeelsmellow @heller-char @luna8eaton @princessmeganfire @insanebot109 @queenofnightsnow @mongoose-underthehouse
Thank you for the support, hope the wait was worth it.

just a few personal considerations about midam from the 15x19 script (and like, the episode in general):
"MICHAEL: (sadly)" [captain holt.gif] PAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIINNNN.
im actually glad they cut the burger joint part because 1) sometimes less is better, and even if they were there when adam disappeared i feel like it makes more sense for michael not to share that with the winchesters, because it's the last memory of adam he has and as someone mourning the person he loved, i don't expect him to be able to talk about adam so soon (to quote jane austen ''if i loved you less i might be able to talk about it more''), 2) idk it just feels like lazy writing to me, like they couldn't even come up with something else for adam except eating when instead they could have thrown in that he went back to college or that he did pick up a little job, but then again.. they never did try much with adam.. [she said bitterly]
what im getting from that part though is that they went on dates (#confirmed) and that michael knows adam's orders by heart so he can try to cook them for him back home
on the contrary, i am a bit sad they took out the ''his essence was pulled from the vessel'' line because as i learned it (but im not an english native speaker so please do correct me if im wrong) 'to pull' sort of implies the use of a certain amount of strength or effort? idk i feel like they could have used a less loaded word, because adam's essence being pulled from the vessel makes me think of a certain implication. which makes me want to stand in a corner and SCREAM. which implication, you ask? well check out this post from @buckybarnz because i ain't got the strength to type that out (unless you want even more SCREAMING. AND CRYING.)
there's something to be said about the winchesters asking about adam and michael asking about cas and that thing is: one wss THEE archangel michael's lover and the other was THEE michael's true vessel's lover. sorry but THEY MADE that parallel. CONSCIOUSLY. which brings me to: i think there should have been a scene with michael and dean talking about adam and fathers and loss and how different michael was from the au one dean said yes to
"Michael stares sadly off in the distance." OH LOOK. MORE PAIN. [PUNCHES A WALL]
mr ''i feel almost naked without manacles'' and dr ''i guess the monster that ate me didn’t get that memo'' are FUCKING MADE FOR EACH OTHER THEY ARE UNITED IN SASSY COMMUNION
LOOK. LISTEN. jack has THREE loving fathers and i don't think adam and michael could, should, or even would want to fit in that spot, but this being said. PALS. FRIENDS. COMPANIONS. UNCLE MICHAEL MAKES ME SO SOFT. and i know he wouldn't be big on nephilims but COME ON. he was almost being nice to jack (for his standards) and jack eats. like adam. IT'S A BONDING POSSIBILITY IM JUST SAYING.
im gonna say it. the writers were cowards for not having lucifer at least mention adam. COWARDS. i also think we should have had a scene with lucifer, sam, michael AND adam, but let's not go there rn. POINT IS. the way that scene with lucifer and michael should have gone down is: lucifer taunts michael about their father. michael stays impassive through all of it. at one point lucifer brings up adam saying something like ''maybe dad would have appreciated you more if you had been able to get dean to say yes to you. instead you got this pathetic excuse of a vessel. what was that guy's name again? oh well, he's gone now. though i have to say, it's a pity i didn't get to know him better all those years we spent in the cage together." at which point michael just SNAPS. grabs lucifer by the throat and slams him against the wall, snarling, lights exploding all over the bunker. michael says ''you mention him again not even our father will be able to bring you back this time.'' and lucifer is all like [fake gasps] ''brother! don't tell me you cared about that human?!'' and then sam and dean have to separate them. I APOLOGIZE FOR MY TROPE LOVING ASS BUT THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD HAVE GONE.
i respect and appreciate all the midam shippers who think michael's actions made sense in 15x19, but im sorry, i don't think i will ever be able to see it that way. he said it himself, he sided with the winchesters when cas showed him god was a piece of shit. after that he spent DAYS with adam (and knowing them they definitely talked about the whole god situation thing). he didn't answer to the winchesters, but he didn't go to god or back to heaven either, he was happy just living with adam. but ''that was then, this is now'' because adam is gone and nothing is okay. and WHY would he ever go back to the man who took the one person michael loved? WHY wouldn't he side with the ones who are actually trying to bring him (and everyone else) back? MAKE IT MAKE SEEEEENSE because the 'he is lost without adam so he goes back to what he knows' doesn't really cut it for me tbh
sam mentioning adam at the end was a punch in the gut. first of all, because it seems to imply that he didn't come back with everyone else which FUCK OFF HE IS ALIVE AND WELL AND WITH HIS ARCHANGEL HUSBAND WHO IS ALSO ALIVE AND WELL. but also because listen. fuck the winchesters for the shit they pulled with adam, but im not gonna act like i would mind them actually giving a fuck about adam for a change. maybe i don't want adam to ever forgive them, but them caring would be nice (especially having some sam and adam bonding)

Harness & Spears Chapter 6/10
Warning: oral sex
Read below the cut or on AO3
It was a drive of around 6 hours and Sam and Jack needed to take two short breaks to refuel the car and Jack needed some fresh air one hour before they reached their destination. He got travel sick for the first time ever. But they took another car, neither the Impala nor the car Jack drove when he sneaked to Gilead. Jack still felt weird when they arrived at the motel.
Checking in was quick. Jack was surprised which motel Sam chose and Sam just gave him a smirk.
“This is luxurious!”, Jack calls out when they enter their room on the fourth floor.
“Yes, it is luxurious compared to what Dean and I are used to, we lived in really shabby stinky rooms more than once.”
Sam is wise enough to not just start telling tales of the ‘good old times’ with Dean, because that is not what Jack wants to hear right now. Dean is a topic they will avoid for as long as they’re here.
“I would say, I unpack our stuff, prepare some tea and you get better with your sickness, hm?”
Jack turns around. He isn’t that sick anymore, but Sam just offered him some pampering, how could Jack say no to that?
“Are you sure? I can help you with unpacking.”
Sam already opened his suitcase and now starts packing folded shirts and shorts in the cupboard. He turns around to Jack with a grin.
“It’s no bother, just unwind a little, take a nap while I unpack. Won’t take long.”
Jack fills the electric cattle with water and chooses a tea from the tea table. He hasn’t seen any of these so far, it seems very european, at least that’s what Sam told him, when he once was in Ireland. But he is also super curious what Sam packed. While the kettle starts working and Jack chooses fennel tea he looks over to Sam. It looks like he packed a lot for a week trip. Sam is the neater of the two brothers and carries extra underwear, even a hair dryer, three pairs of shoes. They haven’t decided on which disguise yet, but since it was a ghost hunt that had zero body count yet, they would maybe go with the ‘paranormal activity journalist’ thing, even though Jack loved also being FBI. After Cas told him after the teddy bear case he probably wasn’t the best actor in the field, he would let Sam talk anyway. Sam was big and earnest and super convincing.
Jack hears a rustling and how Sam hurries to hide what he was about to unpack back in his rucksack.
“What was that?”, Jack asks with a raised eyebrow.
On their drive here Sam chose to do the whole ride and while riding shotgun Jack played on his smartphone and he did what he always does since he and Sam are together. He educates himself about sex. He knows Sam will show him everything one day and also answer a lot of questions, but some things he just doesn’t spill. Jack is dying for answers, all the time, every waking minute with Sam. And that looked like a foil package of condoms.
Sam blushes and zips his bag, avoiding eye contact.
“Nothing, nothing that’s important.”
The kettle is done and Jack fills a mug with hot water and adds to bags of tea. He likes his tea strong and intense.
“Sam, that looked like condoms.”
Sam looks like caught in the act. And then he lets his shoulders hang.
“Yes, but it’s an old bag, I- I didn’t unpack it completely. They might have expired anyway.”
Jack is a little disappointed. Of course he had his hopes high for a second.
“Hey, baby, please don’t be disappointed.”
Sam shuffles the bag aside and invites Jack on the big king size bed. Damn it would be the perfect occasion. They’re alone and what did Sam just say yesterday? That he wants to be with Jack. And yes, yes, they are together almost all the time and they do the most exciting and thrilling things, Jack is regularly blown away and unable to form coherent statements when Sam is done with him, but… deep inside Jack he is aching for what people call ‘the first time’ and make a big fuss about. Jack reads a lot. He doesn’t like adult movies or porn, though, it’s tacky and he feels like this kind of intercourse in porn doesn’t resemble in the slightest what Sam and him would have. But how could he know if Sam didn’t show him?
Jack follows the invitation after a little hesitation, gets out of his shoes and opens his jeans, his belly hurts and Sam told him reducing pressure would, thus unbuttoning his pants or take them off completely. Sam also is barefoot now, out of his pants and Jack dives in his arms.
“I’m sorry, Jack, I know you want it. And I didn’t want to raise your hopes.”
“Is this all because I’m a virgin and you would be my first? And you have to stay pure and a virgin for as long as possible”, Jack asks quietly.
“Did you browse weird purity websites, Jack? Virginity is just a concept. The human body is made for having sex at one point in their life. That’s why you go through puberty, start having sexual feelings, breasts and penis grow, wet dreams, periods… all of this. Shaming someone for having sex is like shaming monkeys to climb trees. It’s bullshit. It’s sexist. I love being your first, but not because I think you’d be ‘unclean’ if someone else before me had sex with you, I just like the intimacy, being able to get to know you well enough to know what’s the best pleasurable way for you. And I’m very damn glad Hunter didn’t lay a finger on you.”
“But why don’t we have sex then?”, Jack asks with a trembling ache in his chest.
“You might be a virgin, but why I’m going slow is because I like going slow per se. I had sexual encounters that happened on the day the person and I met, and it was passionate and great and all, but… you remember the tacky jokes from Cas and Dean, that my cock is deadly?”
Jack chuckles, then nods. “Yeah.”
“That really happened a lot. I thought I liked someone, and then they were possessed by a demon, were a werewolf, I even had a sexual relationship with someone from whom I knew was a demon and that was even the whole point. I did it when I was mourning Dean. Later Dean stabbed her after-”
Sam swallows deeply.
“She, Ruby, was responsible for Lucifer to be freed from the Cage the first time. She tricked us into opening all the portals.”
“Oh. I don’t know what to say, Sam. I’m sorry.”
“None of this is your fault.” Sam says with a bitter undertone. “Back to the actual topic. I’ve been through a lot of experiences that seemed pleasant maybe, sexually, but in the end they got hurt, or I got hurt. I had a lot of people violate my body.”
Jack stiffens and attempts to get up, protesting.
“I would never-”, he calls out.
“Yes, you wouldn’t . I know that.”
But your maker did , Sam thinks bitterly. But when he looks at Jack, he sees Cas. Never Lucifer. And still he has issues to fully give in.
“But, Sam… I wished we could go further. I know you think I’m just a horny teenager but I feel-”, Jack clears his throat and winds out of the embrace to take a sip of his tea. It’s hot and he burns his tongue.
“I really like you, Sam, I want to be as close to you as possible. It’s a consuming feeling, it’s eating me up. I would say it’s wildly romantic to be so horny for each other, but I’m aching inside for you. Sam… I-”
Jack can’t make himself say it. “I want you so bad. ”
Sam takes the cup out of Jack’s hand and puts it on the nightstand. Slowly pulling Jack in his hug again, this time in his lap. Jack melts everytime when Sam does that and Jack can see in Sam’s face that he knows.
“Jack, believe me, I want you too. I want you a lot. It’s hard to resist you, oh, sometimes I feel like it’s impossible.”
It’s wonderful to hear that, it’s healing the aching, but only for a little and Jack knows it will come back at him even worse. He sighs and enjoys the shivers down his spine when Sam’s hand circles on his back, between his shoulder blades; a familiar motion. Never failing to make Jack either even hotter or calm him down. Sometimes it’s hard for him to differ which feeling is which. With Sam everything is right and upside down at the same time. Secretly Jack envies all of Sam’s lovers. And to hell with it, he is jealous that Dean had to have Sam so close for all these years, see him in puberty, see him maybe feeling lust for the first time-
It takes Jack a second to realize he’s just thinking about brothers, just that with the Winchesters nothing really surprises him anymore. Not even his own fantasy of teenage Sam, in full hormonal rage, humping pillows, like Jack once did when he didn’t know what the feeling he experienced really meant and how to prolong or end it.
“You’re still very victorious of resisting my qualities.”
“You sound like a dandy”, Sam chuckles, “Believe me it’s a daily struggle to not just…”
Jack’s stomach sinks and his groin is painfully hard and hot in a matter of milliseconds.
“Not just what, Sam?”, he whispers.
Sam turns both of them around and Jack lands on his back, squealing a little. It’s such an innocent, young sound that Jack has to recognise himself he sounds young and inexperienced. Sam shoves Jack’s shirt up to his armpits.
“Sam?”
Jack’s voice is shaky.
“I will show you how much I want you, okay?”
“I’m certainly not stopping you, please show me.”
He pushes up on his arms, looking down at Sam, who pulls down Jack’s shorts.
“How’s your stomach?”, he asks, kissing Jack’s abs.
Oh, fuck. Jack has to let his head fall back and he stares on the ceiling, thin blue waves dancing in his eyesight.
“My stomach? Miracle cure” he says with a raw groan.
As soon as Sam touches him in a certain way, Jack just elevates, his senses focus on what they’re doing and probably the motel could just go down in a blast of flames and Jack wouldn’t even notice he’s burning alive.
Sam’s long hair tickles Jack’s skin and he chuckles and winds a little, Sam holds him steady, there will always be one strong arm along Jack’s spine, supporting him, showing him that Sam won’t let go. And that he’s Sam’s. Jack would never ever let anyone else touch him like that. One hand digs deep in Sam’s hair, strong brown streaks, slightly curling. Unsure if to push him further down or pull him back up Jack just holds on, feels for Sam’s lips, his slick and talented tongue, waiting for the next sensation, waiting for his own wishes to form words, then sentences.
“Sam, I want you, I don’t wanna wait any longer…”
The kisses upwards stop and Sam looks up, lips wet and glistening, tongue flicking over his lower lip. It’s obscene as it is beautiful.
“I will make it worth the wait, Jack. Believe me, there are so many unbelievably good things we can do…”
“I want you… really, I want you… inside me.” Jack’s words splatter out of his mouth and he’s aroused yet a little ashamed.
Sam hikes up completely and lays Jack down. Kisses the ‘but’s and ‘when’s and ‘want’s away. Jack struggles, frustrated and horny, mood shifting between whiny and angry.
“You will, Jack. You will get everything you want and more. Please give it a little more time. It won’t be long, I promise. I know how you feel.”
A single mad tear rolls down Jack’s face.
“Sam, I want to be so much closer, I need to feel part of you in me…”
Sam kisses away the tear, tastes the salt. Jack is a shaking, needy mess, legs spread, shirt shoved up under his chin. Nipples hard, goosebumps all over and a raging hard cock between them.
“Are my fingers okay, too?”
Jack nods frantically. He remembers the orgasm that was so mind blowing and got ruined by Dean and Cas running into them.
“Yes, again, please.”
And Sam is a keeper of his promises.
Jack is shaken to the core before Sam even penetrates him. It’s a delight to see, only the sight of Jack’s golden eyes, the slight quakes, he’s so responsive in a unique way and it’s only for Sam. If Jack only knew how hard it really is for him to not just take the boy here and now, thrust in this perfect pale mannequin body, Sam has never seen anything so breathtaking. Of course he wants to feel Jack’s insides, he wants to drain the last drop of cum out of him while Jack rides him, GOD , Sam would do a lot to experience that in a complete guilt free and perfect way, like Jack deserves. Part of him wants to mark the naphil as his, show everyone that Sam is the luckiest man alive, because Jack chose him. Damn, fucking him until he’s loose and barely able to utter anything else than faint moans or sobs, yes, Sam wants to make Jack never forget the sex they’ll have. But he can’t. Not yet.
If Jack only knew that corrupting something so beautiful, so rare, so graceful strikes Sam with such terror -- to do it wrong. To disappoint.
If Jack only knew that Sam isn’t the strong indestructible man he might appear like. That things inside him are just broken and cannot be fixed. And it could destroy what they have. And Sam can’t have Jack shatter on the truth. He wants Jack to shatter on his body, shaking and in extacy. And in perfect bliss.
“Sam, please”, Jack coos.
Sam will not just give Jack his fingers, he’ll give him his tongue and mouth. Jack’s cock is full, red, tip glossy with precum Sam spread across already. He doesn’t hesitate to press the tip of his tongue on the bundle of nerves right underneath the glans while wrapping his lips around the tip. Jack sounds broken, his hips jerk and he simultaneously tries to pull away, his hands in Sam’s hair.
“Sam, so much! It’s so much!”
“Is it good much or bad much, baby?”
“Good”, Jack admits, “it was in a movie and when I saw it…”
Jack covers his mouth with his shivering hand, biting his finger.
“It was good?”
Jack nods.
“I won’t go on if you think it’s too much.”
“Oh, I… I don’t know Sam, it’s really hot, but what if I spill…”
Sam chuckles.
“Don’t worry about it.”
While talking he gently keeps jerking and Jack relaxes a little.
“I don’t want you to stop Sam, I want all of it.”
“Sure?”
“Yes, please keep going. Can I watch you?”
Jack looks down and Sam sees nothing but longing in his eyes. Good.
Sam laughs. “Of course, feel free.”
Jack already tastes a little salty from precum and Sam goes slow, it’s a new sensation and it’s just a matter of time until Jack won’t be able to hold his orgasm anymore. Sam risked it to take two fingers for Jack this time, circling his sweet spot steadily and sucking him in the same slow torturing rhythm. Jack’s hand in his hair clenches and relaxes before also his other hand grasps for some loose strands. His noises are so sweet, Sam’s cock jumps and aches with every new little ‘oh’ or whispered name it’s harder to stay patient and noble. Sam’s primitive part wants to go on without any mercy, suck Jack off, fuck this tight sweet ass with until he’s sore and force orgasm after orgasm out of this beautiful boy.
Jack’s breath hitches and his hips thrust up in Sam’s mouth, not enough to make him gag but enough to make his mouth water even more, make the blowjob sloppy and full of wet noises. Immediate reactions. Moaning. Fingernails scratching his scalp.
“Sam! I’m….”
Jack doesn’t need to finish that sentence, Sam can feel it coming. Jack’s cock grows even harder, a little bigger - or is that wishful thinking? - and Sam can’t resist to swallow as deep as possible, his fingers ramming into that tight hole -- fuck, Sam is about to cum himself untouched just by how Jack feels, tastes and these sounds. Fuck, these sounds should be forbidden.
“Close”, Jack cries, “Sam, so close!”
Sam would love to answer, give Jack some encouraging answers but he can’t stop now. He wants to feel Jack filling his mouth, he wants everything Jack can give right now. It should be painful, how Jack clings onto his hair, pulling and ripping. It isn’t.
With some firm and frantic rubs of Jack’s prostate and Sam moaning with his mouth full of cock the boy arches his back and cries so sweetly, his legs crossed behind Sam’s back start pressing them even closer together, his hands push and pull.
“I’m coming”, Jack’s voice is clear as a bell, no trembling.
And then he shoots his cum, thick hot spurts in Sam’s mouth and while Jack gasps and moans so loud the neighbors might hear, Sam swallows and keeps stroking, keeps sucking.
If Sam only looked up, he could see the molten glowing honey shade of Jack’s angel eyes, wide open, his shaking body and a faint blue light illuminating the face perfectly shaped like marble, Grace surrounding him like a halo.
Light bulbs pop and TV starts crackling -- just seconds later everything turns quiet.
Sam looks up, catching the rest of cum with his thumb from his lips and licks it up. Jack looks down at him, his eyes teary and still shining a little.
“Sam…”, he croaks.
Sam crawls up and Jack immediately snuggles up into an embrace.
“Did you just cause a blackout?”, Sam asks with a grin.
Jack sobs. “I think so... It was…”
“Yes, I felt it. Overwhelming?”
“I still feel like I’m shaking…”
Sam hugs him tighter. “You are still shaking a little. I will hold you.”
It takes a little for them to calm down. Actually, Sam can’t calm down, he is tenting his boxer briefs. There’s no way to hide it. Jack shifts, a hand runs under the fabric. Sam forgets to breathe for a moment.
“You don’t have to”, he whispers.
Jack doesn’t stop.
“But I want to.”

This is the last post I’m making about the Supernatural finale, because it happened and I want to move steadily into the denial stage and start reading fix-it fics and pretending they were the reality after this.  But, here are my thoughts (SPOILERS AHEAD):
.
.
First, I want to state that I completely understand that COVID restrictions changed and limited some of what could be done.  I didn’t like the mask wearing juggalo vampires AT ALL, but-COVID, and so I’m going to let that slide.
I also really, really hated that Dean Winchester, who saved the world for basically his entire life, had 1 person and 1 dog at his funeral, and nobody but Bobby waiting for him in Heaven but-again, COVID, so I’ll just pretend that Sam was in shock and didn’t call anyone until after the body was burned, and my head canon is telling me that Dean rode off in Baby and visited everyone (and that includes Cas but I’ll get to that in a sec) while he was waiting for Dean.
So here’s what I did like:
1. Dean and Sam wound up together in heaven: I am not into the W*ncest thing, so don’t come at me with that.  I have watched this show since day 1, and since day 1, I knew the boys had to wind up together in the afterlife.  I used to think they would wind up together as Michael/Lucifer in the cage, or get a happy ending for their souls after saving the world during season 5, but since the show continued after all of that, I transferred my line of thinking onto the boys should wind up together in their own heaven.  Yes, they are siblings, and NO, this is not a romantic notion (I’m continuing to take a hard pass at W*ncest), but they have always been soulmates of sorts.  So, I was completely fine with that.
2. Dean + Dog: Love that Dean had a dog.  Love love love it.  Let him have a little happiness.  Dean’s always been a guy who takes care of people, it was literally hardwired into him since his brother was born.  Having a dog to take care of lets him scratch that itch without the complications of, you know, people.  A dog will love you unconditionally and only ask for food and cuddles in return.
3. All the throwbacks: Dad’s journal.  The FBI suits.  Kripke and Singer.  Pie.  Harvelle’s Roadhouse. El Sol beer.  Bobby.  Even them basically mirroring their first conversation with their last.  Dean’s first and last words being, “Hey, Sammy.” There were so many throwbacks to the last 15 years in this episode and it was a lovely nod to everything that we’ve all been through with this show.
4. Dean’s Goodbye Speech: A little long, tbh, but I shed a tear.  Or two.
What I was on the fence about:
1. Cas: Ok, they mentioned that Cas was out of the Empty and helping Jack, so we know there was a happy ending there.  Father and son reunited, Father was no longer in the Turbo Mega Super Hell or whatever we are calling it, and I’m glad they addressed that and didn’t leave us hanging.
I’m also glad Dean got to know that Cas was out of TMSH, and I’m glad they left it open ended as to whether or not they reunited up there-mostly so the fanfic writers have room to work their magic and write Destiel an ending the show itself never would.  Knowing this show, it’s literally the best gift they could have given the fans who wanted destiel as endgame.
What I don’t like is how ambivalent they made living Dean about Cas.  I get the whole don’t let Cas’ sacrifice be in vein thing but...it came off as super un-Dean to just be like, “Eh, I’m finally just going to stop trying to bring back my dead friends/family and enjoy this pie eating contest,” especially since just a few days prior he was bargaining with Chuck to bring Cas back for the low low price of Sam and Dean KILLING EACH OTHER.  What a weird and OOC turn of events.
Sam and Dean are platonic soulmates, but Cas and Dean were literal soulmates, full stop.  Cas pulled Dean out of heaven.  He rebuilt him fiber by fiber.  They spent a year in purgatory together.  They fought with each other for 15 years.  They taught each other how to love.  Come on.  Ambivalence about Cas’s eternal slumber in the Empty DOES NOT COMPUTE HERE.
I also don’t like that Cas died to save Dean, Dean successfully rid the world of bad god and then immediately died and negated Cas’ sacrifice, but I’ll get to that in a minute as well.
2. Dean meeting Bobby in Heaven: Look, Bobby was the best dad those boys ever had.  He knew it, they knew, John fucking Winchester probably knew it.  So, I loved that it was Bobby that greeted him at the pearly gates and had the “Heaven” talk with him.
I just wish more characters could have been there, and I do wish they could have given us a snippet of Cas.  Even just “Hey, this is where you’ll find him if you’re looking.”  Anything.  But again-COVID.
3. Pie eating contest: Cute, but was it necessary?  Idk.  I’m on the fence.
What I didn’t like:
1. How Dean died: Sorry.  I know a lot of people are saying it was perfect that the guy who saved the world and killed every bad guy known to man-up to and including DEATH HIMSELF-and averted multiple apocalypses was thwarted by a juggalo vampire and an inconveniently placed fucking nail but I don’t like it. Dean deserved to have a good life, but we all knew he wasn’t going to get it.  It was just never going to happen.  But he did NOT deserve to die 28 minutes into the finale in the most embarrassing, memeable way ever.  He didn’t deserve to literally be screwed/stabbed in the back by the writers after 15 years.
He also didn’t deserve to once again be essentially boiled down to a plot device for his brother. He literally died giving Sam the Jack and Rose, “You’re gonna die an old woman, asleep in her bed” speech and then just...hung out in heaven as a loose end, waiting for Sam?  That’s kinda disrespectful, no?  It implies that he really was only sort of put on this earth for his brother, all along.  Let him have something of his own.  Kill him in a way that would honor of him, and let him have time with his family and friends in Heaven instead of just putting him on a charger and letting him wait until Sam was ready for him again.  Just, meh.
2. Speaking of Sam: Faceless wife?  Noooot it.  Cheap party City wig and Mr Rogers’ sweater to show the passage of time?  Nooooot it.  Pictures of only he and Dean on the walls, cause family? what family?  Noooooot it.
Who was he after Dean died?  Did he stay in the life?  Did he become an accountant?  What happened to the Bunker?  What happened to all of his friends?
.
Overall, I think they could have done a lot better with the concept they created.  A lot better.  They may as well have had Dean die in 15x19, going against Chuck and then 15x20 could have been an hour long journey of the boys finding their way back to each other in the afterlife.  Dean could have navigated heaven, found Cas, found some of the people who they lost along the way and we could have seen more of what Sam got up to in the long years without his brother.  They could have spent more time on a poignant reunion scene between them in the end.  They could have done a better service to both brothers, their legacy that they left behind, and all of the fans by doing something more along those lines than what they did.
Maybe they should have waited until it was safe to film the original ending they had planned, but sadly-I think Dean Winchester would have had the same shitty ending no matter when this was filmed.  But at least he wouldn’t have been alone in Heaven?  idk, this was just...not it for me.

Note
I've been going through your adam milligan tag because I finally watched his comeback in season 15 and I just gotta say two things. one: you've got the best adam meta, it's seriously so satisfying. two: please talk about lucifer and adam in any context, in whatever stream of consciousness. I'd just love to see some feelings or dynamic explored because I feel like not having anything is such a wasted opportunity.
thank you! it took me a while to get around to this ask because...i’m me lmao but i’m glad you like my adam meta!! and okay lucifer and adam uh....let’s see here. i’ve made a post before about a distinct difference between lucifer and adam and how they handled the whole “god talk” thing with michael and how that highlights certain differences in their characters because, truthfully, adam and lucifer are really on opposite ends of the spectrum—you have a “daddy’s favorite” character versus a “good son” character, with a main difference being that adam wasn’t a good son for his father; no, he doesn’t give a shit about john. it was for his mom! he became an eagle scout and graduated high school with honors, and even his pre-med track mirrored his mother’s job because kate was a nurse. adam is reserved and very under-dramatic compared to the rest of the spn characters, and when you have a character as overly-dramatic and whiny as lucifer clash with someone like that, the results...well, they’d be about what you’d think they would be: a lot of arguing.
a set of gifs that i’ve seen floating around is adam’s “family sucks” paralleled with lucifer’s “family blows,” which is interesting because it suggests that both of them have taken similar views on the whole “blood family” deal—that it’s not worth shit. this is again contrasted, though, by the way they handle it—lucifer acts like a child, makes himself out to be the victim in every situation (see: his talk with gabriel in apocalypse world), and overall just tries to make himself out to be this “good guy” compared to, say, au!michael and michael (back when he was telling everyone that michael was insane and that he was the better alternatve). adam, on the other hand, never makes himself out to be the victim and handles the situation regarding the winchesters after the cage with reason and an open ear. another interesting thing is that both of them asked for apologies from the family members that slighted them, but—again—this takes a divergence when you see how they handled it. i can’t really remember lucifer’s scenes all too well (he makes me cringe and i refuse to go back and watch him) but i do recall him going “team amara, go amara,” and locking himself in sam’s room blasting music until he got what he wanted, which was a talk with god/apology from god. ergo, he basically absolutely refused to cooperate until his terms were met. adam, on the other hand, simply asked for an apology and, even when he didn’t get one, didn’t hesitate to continue to help and even vouched for the winchesters to michael, displaying his ability to put aside his own feelings for the sake of something bigger (though i wish he would’ve been an asshole about it to them. just a little bit. cmon he actually deserves to apeshit and i’m not budging on this lmao). and, at the end of the episode, he was entirely ready to just walk out of there without having received an apology in any way, shape or form.
as inherit the earth hasn’t come out yet, i’m not sure if we’re going to get any confirmation that lucifer might’ve tortured adam a bit down there before michael presumably fought him off and protected adam from him. however, seeing as lucifer hasn’t ever mentioned adam before, as of right now i’m of the belief that lucifer either didn’t notice that adam was down there (michael might’ve been shielding him all the way back in his own mind) or was too busy fighting michael to tell. lucifer’s the type who likes bringing shit up, right? so it wouldn’t be ooc for him to have slipped a line or two in about torturing the “winchesters’ baby brother” or whatever. nevertheless, i do think that if lucifer and adam were to meet face-to-face, there would be a little fear on adam’s part—while michael is someone he trusts, lucifer is not only a blatant reminder of the time he spent suffering in the cage but also an archangel who’s out for everyone’s blood, and adam isn’t stupid enough to think that just because he’s friends with one he’s invulnerable to them all. based on the fact that michael and lucifer were fighting for a while down there, it stands to reason that adam knows exactly what lucifer’s capable of and there would definitely be some wariness on his part—since we don’t know what happened down there, that wariness could vary from a reasonable fear to fear akin to sam’s trauma at lucifer’s hands.
basically, there are some similarities that split into nothing but differences on adam and lucifer’s part, and i think that’s just because they’re such opposing characters: adam is literally everything lucifer’s not, and vice versa. inherit the earth could answer a lot of questions about what may or may not have actually happened in the cage, but we all know the writers: they probably won’t answer shit lmao.

5.22: Swan Song - My Rewatch Review
And now we arrive at what I will always think of fondly as the ‘first’ of Supernatural’s two endings. This episode has been and will forever be not just one of my favorite episodes of Supernatural, but one of my favorite episodes of any television show I’ve ever watched. And I mostly stand by my opinion that, if the show had not been picked up for a sixth season, this would have been a very good ending. I know that it is possible that they would have changed some things about it had it been the actual series finale, but I also think it would have stood perfectly on its own, minus seeing Sam under the streetlight in the final scene. It wraps up the myth arc that the series has built on since Season 1, and it finds a realistic yet ultimately unsatisfying end to the Winchesters’ story, which is very in keeping with the show’s style generally. And if we had only been given five seasons with these boys, it is an ending that I could have lived with.
Which is why I found the parallels and the contrasts to the actual season finale that we got ten seasons later to be very telling when rewatching this episode for the first time since the true series finale aired. Because ‘Carry On’ was a reversal of this finale in pretty much every way possible, and I think that is a good thing, because after having ten more years with these boys, and growing and suffering along with them through so much more than they’ve experienced here, each of the elements in this finale that were reversed in ‘Carry On’ make the actual series finale a truly satisfying one in a way that, if you were to simply transplant the resolution of this episode onto the end of the series, this one would not have been.
For starters, there is the contrast in the nature of Sam’s death here and Dean’s death in ‘Carry On’. When all is said and done here, we know that Sam is in the worst place imaginable, being tortured by Lucifer for all eternity, and the thought of Dean being forced to just leave him there is unconscionable. As much as the show wants you to think that he will just go and live a normal life, there is no way that I can actually see that lasting for long. Either he goes stir-crazy and starts hunting again at some point, or he finds some way to jimmy the Cage open and get Sam back, because Dean is not the kind of person who can just live with the thought of his brother suffering like that. In contrast, Dean dying on an ordinary hunt after all the forces of destiny have been defeated means that he is at peace, so the idea of Sam giving up on hunting (especially when it obviously happened naturally in its own time, rather than him giving it up immediately because of a promise made to his brother) and leaving Dean at rest is both understandable, and also no longer out-of-character for him.
There is also Cass’s response to Dean when he asks about his ‘grand prize’, and how that line hits differently when applied to this episode as opposed to the series finale. ‘What would you rather have? Peace, or freedom?’ We know that Sam and Dean were fighting for freedom here, because the peace that they would have gotten post-Apocalypse would not have really been peace, but what Dean and Sam both deserved as the heroes of this story is both peace and freedom, and that is what ‘Carry On’ was able to give them that ‘Swan Song’ was not. They were free for the forces of Heaven, Hell, God, and destiny, and got to live their lives as such, and in the end, we got to see them find the peace that they both truly deserved, in a Heaven that they deserved as well, rather than the Heaven that they would have been given had they chosen peace instead of freedom here.
I was both surprised and glad that Chuck’s final line of this episode could have very easily been carried over to ‘Carry On’ as well, though, because the message that he was trying to convey here is the one message that holds true up to the very end of the show. “Up against good, evil, angels, devils, destiny, and God himself, they made their own choice. They chose family. And, well, isn’t that kinda the whole point?” That, right there, is the message of both this finale and the show’s actual finale, and there is nothing that proves that this show knew exactly what story it was telling right up to the very end that those words still hold as true in season 15 as they did in season 5.
So, as good an episode as this is, I am glad that it was not how Sam and Dean’s story actually ended, because I think the ending that they got was the ending they truly deserved, and this ending would have been a good stopping point, but an unsatisfying one at best. But that’s okay, because the real reason why it is one of my favorite episodes is not because of the nature of the ending, or even because it wraps up the Apocalypse storyline in a satisfactory way. It is my favorite because of the interstitial scenes of the Impala, which I feel truly bring the car into its own as a character in the story, and also open up Sam and Dean’s lives even further. The line “...but they were never, in fact, homeless” still gives me chills to this day, the soundtrack is one of my favorite pieces of instrumental music ever written, and it is absolutely one of the elements of this show that keeps me coming back to watch it over and over again.

Note
7-12 and 16-20 for the asks!
7. What do you dislike about your favourite season?
i think season 2 is the best, but as i’ve said before, my favourite is 4 solely because the first few eps i watched were from s4. i think season 4 is very solid and even though it’s a season that HURTS BAD because of everything happening between sam and dean, i think the show earns the conflict for the most part. the literal only thing that still haunts me is that the STUPID VOICEMAIL THAT GETS ALTERED IS NEVER ADDRESSED. like i hate more than anything that sam still thinks dean said those things. like i know jared’s said that sam knows dean loves him but i don’t care!!! sam /and/ dean deserve to know the voicemail was changed.
OH also literally everything with anna milton. she deserved better <3 sorry the fridged you and gave part of your arc to a man, queen.
also sam and dean should’ve found out cas let sam out of the panic room.
8. Thoughts on Sam’s demon blood arc
i love sam’s demon blood arc. his hot girl summer! in all seriousness, it makes perfect sense. mystery spot sets it up that sam goes dark when he doesn’t have dean, and s4 is the natural progression of that. i love sam being hellbent on revenge, and the blood drinking was hot sorry not sorry. like obviously the end result wasn’t stellar and the handling of the demon blood as an addiction was handled rather shittily in the show, but overall this arc is near and dear to me and if i couldn’t have the boy king, i’m glad i got this instead. and it brings up some really interesting concepts that get explored really well in fic.
9. Thoughts on the Moc arc
i hate this arc mostly because like dean was terrible...which makes sense, but even after the mark was gone it’s like... he never /really/ pulls himself out of that place. it also just dragged on for FAR too long. like it didn’t need to be like 30 episodes or however long. i do like that it gave us demon!dean being like sexythreatening, and that scene of sam cradling dean’s face and begging him to tell him that he had to kill all those people and just the general sam is dean’s colette of it all. also the end of s10 with sam on his knees and dean telling him to close his eyes is deeply fucked up and i love it for that reason and obviously that happened bc of the MOC storyline.
10. Fave underrated ep
i am highkey obsessed with 1x04 phantom traveller, 2x07 the usual suspects and 4x19 jump the shark and i feel like most people don’t really care about those episodes or bring them up much. phantom traveller is just interesting bc i think the character moments are fun and i am obsessed with plane crashes for some reason. the usual suspects i just adore because it’s really a great exploration of HOW WELL sam and dean know each other and just how alike they are. and unfortunately i really like the cop lady in this one. jump the shark was the second episode of supernatural i ever saw and for some reason something in my brain latched onto adam and never let go. i love him so much (i know it’s not really him in the ep but ukno) and i love how much you learn about sam and dean through it too.
11. Thoughts on BMOL
boring. like...the actors were not good at their accents. they wanted what bela talbot had in s3. i just didn’t find ‘the british are evil’ a compelling storyline in a supernatural show.... like girl i live in real life you don’t need to preach to me about the british. also like they set up ketch to be evil like worse than toni who i already hate because she tortures/sexually assaults sam by having him kill magda i guess? but then they end up redeeming him and he survives longer than both mick (affectionate) and toni (derogatory), like seriously one of the worst Big Bads they’ve ever had.
12. Thoughts on Mary
to be honest, i think bringing her back was kind of a stupid idea in the sense that the ENTIRE SHOW starts because of her death. but i felt like HAVING DONE THAT, trying to deconstruct her image as like this nuclear housewife was compelling and the whole clash of sam and dean who just want their mom versus mary who left her kids as a an infant and a small child and now has these grown men who are older than her needing things she doesn’t know how to give was very interesting. and i wish they’d done more with that.
16. Any criticisms of their world building/lore
well i think everyone’s said it better than me that they can’t seem to get their stance on monsters straight at all and the show suffers for it. i also hate how like the later seasons especially just blatantly retcon so much. the prime example is the garden of eden in s5 vs s15.... the s5 version was so much more interesting and i hate that they brought it back just to destroy their own lore. the whole concept of the abrahamic god being like the ‘real’ god vs other gods just being minor annoyances didn’t like...make sense or feel good either. i also would’ve loved more exploration of like what the fuck it means to be a vessel and also exploration of other monsters/urban legends. like ok we get it ghosts/demons/vampires/werewolves sure w/e but there’s so much to pull from. it got repetitive and there’s so many other things they could’ve tried. hell the SECOND EPISODE of the show mentions black dogs and we never actually encounter one. or like chimeras... like there’s just plenty to dig into and they just get lazy.
17. What did you like about s15?
15x20 <3 also just...jack....that’s my son! MICHAEL/ADAM IN 15X08!!!! i think there were a couple moments i liked in like...the gambler and last holiday, and i thought belphagor was funny. oh! also sam’s nightmare visions were kinda fun even tho they led back to lucifer :/
18. Thoughts on Lucifer
he was a really excellent and intimidating villain in s5.... and frankly i enjoyed hallucifer as well because sure he was presented comedically but he was a deeply dark presence hanging over sam as a reminder of what he suffered. everything after that...sucked!!! it sucked!!!!! overstayed his welcome, letting him out of the cage again totally nullifies sam’s sacrifice and frankly he lost every smidge of intimidation factor he ever had. he was just annoying and whiny and pointless and sam should’ve killed him <3 fuck that guy.
19. Most uncomfortable moments throughout the show for you?
answered here
20. Define the different eras in a few lines or words (s1-5, s6-7, s8-11, s12-15)
this was meant to be short... and then it wasnt... sorry.
kripke: PEAK SUPERNATURAL. racist AND sexist but like i frankly do not care because the actually storytelling is so GOOD. COHERENT. i long for what could’ve been had the strike not kneecapped s3 and we’d gotten boyking, but hell the arc we DID get... so good. so fulfilling. aesthetics go off the charts. character dynamics so good!!! conflicts are earned!!!! there was a fucking vision here and it was unique and interesting and the show was COMMITTED TO IT. literally iconic television i love her so much. eric kripke needs a therapist but i’m glad he wrote this show instead of going to see one.
gamble: sera THEE gamble.... overarching storylines kinda weak, but SO FUN! i had fucking fun! soulless sam is a comedian, godstiel was the last time cas was remotely interesting, like!!!! she gave us everything!!!!! gets slandered way too much by this hell fandom like yes the leviathans were stupid but the were FUN and the character moments in s6-s7!!! so good!!!! lots of excellent MOTW eps as well, which... as we know...i love. when the show lost gamble, it lost something great, i’ll die on this hill. i love u #girlboss.
carver: there’s a lot of good here and a lot i despise. dean steadily grows darker throughout the show but there’s like a real VEER into being awful in s9 that the show never recovers from. it makes dean very unlikeable for the rest of its run, mostly by virtue of the show not realizing how unlikeable it’s made dean because it needs him to always be right so the fact that he’s basically turned into john is never like....addressed in any meaningful way. some storylines (MOC!!) dragged on for too long, while others were way too short (TRIALS!!!) but ultimately i think there were some good ideas here and moments i’m fond of. season 11 is Beautiful. i love her so much. there’s some really excellent eps in s11 and the character moments are good.
dabb: i literally hate it here (jack sweetie you are not included in this assessment you’re doing great). it was just stupid. the characterizations of EVERYBODY sucked and fell flat. way too obsessed with pandering to the loudest faction on twitter. took the wreckage of dean that carver left and full destroyed him. like straight up could’ve done something meaningful if they’d bothered to address it at all but they literally didn’t ever make dean be accountable for his actions??? can’t tell u what cas was doing it was so forgettable he obviously had no purpose literally the only scenes i remember were a couple where he’s being cute with jack and that one ep where he and sam go to that old-timey town and sam gets brainwashed. sam like... exists, and his character is intact but it’s only intact because the writers that were left didn’t want to bother giving him anything meaty to do to so the were like *spins wheel* leadership arc that goes nowhere, and he just exists being kind and compassionate and putting up with too much shit. BUT HE HAD REALLY FUCKING EXCELLENT MOMENTS WITH JACK and that alone is why i think it’s worth the slog. sam/jack is my favourite dynamic on the show following sam/dean so...unfortunately based on that.... i can’t just burn the whole dabb era but seriously... way to make every character a hollow, one-dimensional shell.

Did I just fall in love with a Bucklemming episode?!
YES!!!
I am shocked! SHOOKETH!
It was actually great! Like....I don't know what to think... everything I know is wrong...black is white, up is down....
The Acting!
Chuck always had a weird uncomfortable vibe for me, but he's genuinely starting to give me the willie's. Bravo Rob!
Can we please talk about how well Keith Szarabajka portrayed Donatello being possessed by Chuck? Like, I was blown away. It really felt like Chuck with no trace of the prophet at all. I was more than impressed. Just...ugh....
Ruthie! You goddess, you!
Shoshana, I see you!
J2M, beautiful as always.
But most of all, Jake Motha Effin Abel!!!! I was not excited for this(mostly, because of the writing team) but I'll be damned if the man didn't blow me away! Slipping between two characters like that at such a quick pace is not an easy task, but he nailed it!!! You sir, are fantastic!
The directing!
Dick, you never cease to amaze me. Your episodes are always asthetic wonders. Nothing felt clunky or awkward for me. You are just as good behind the camera as you are in front of it!
The writing itself!
Again. I am shooketh!
It wasn't full of horrible jokes
Two female characters and both of them actually managed to live! Not only that, they were badasses! ( Aside from Eileen being tricked) Neither of them were pathetic damsels in distress! Rowena is actually in a position of power!
There was character development!
It actually flowed!
The dialogue was bearable
No one died! (Well, Lilith...but I mean...they were probably gonna waste that storyline anyway ...)
It didn't bore me to tears or anger me beyond all reason
Canon was still kind of ignored ( Belphagore already told Dean Michael wasn't in the cage anymore, he should have known) but not to the point where it was painful
We finally got some plot development!
Are we sure this was Bucklemming? *Triple checks* yup! SHOOKETH!
The episode itself
Chuck, gambling, like his sister. Okay.
Chuck, going serial killer on every one in the casino. Creepy.
Chuck is actually starting to scare me.
Poor Donatello. He didn't choose the prophet life. Last time he read the tablets, Cas fried his brain crispier than the chicken he was eating. And now God is using him to spy on the guys. His little moment on the phone with Dean while he was seeing all the places Michael was landing had me rolling though. He deserves his bourbon!
Sam being a protective "friend". Sweetie, she's a MOL legacy. She was hunting long before she met you. She's got this. I love it though. It's sweet. He needs to let himself be happy. I want him to be happy damnit! She was brought back for a reason. Don't let Chuck and his crazy ass ruin this for him. Also, free Sam from Chuck! Please and thank you.
Eileen. I love her. I'm glad she's back. I'm sad Chuck used her to trap Sam. Like fuck. Just let them be happy! I know it's supernatural. It's not supposed to be Happy. I know one of the main reasons I love this show is because it doesn't focus solely on romance, but she actually came back! Sam's Dick-O-Death couldn't keep her down. She deserves to stay alive!
ROWENA!!!! I legitimately squeed! I'm not an overly emotional person, but I made a noise so happy when I heard her voice....my dog has been giving me dirty looks ever since. My Goddess! MY QUEEN! The Queen! Of Hell! It's everything she deserves! She has those demons quaking! Not to mention she looks absolutely stunning! And telling Dean and Cas to get their shit together before they die and regret it...
Tumblr media
Dean. Encouraging your brother to be happy? Good boy. Admitting you have been in a bad place? Starting a conversation with Cas and showing concern (despite the fact you couldn't look him in the eye)? You genuinely apologized to someone without making it about yourself? Is that character development I'm smelling? So proud. You at least tired to save Adam briefly, and letting him know that you were sorry for what happened to him was a good step. He may not have forgiven you right away, but it was a good step. * Cough* hint*cough*. (Don't get me wrong, they both need to apologise to each other. I'm sick of the snippiness)
Cas! Hunny! I like having the badass he once was slowly leaking back in. Adding the straight up bitch to it is a bonus! "Oh, I'm not here to beg." "You have an entire oak tree shoved up your ass." honestly his whole speech to Micheal was prime sassy Cas! I live! 1 issue: why can he hold his own against and archangel, but demons can kick his ass? And not touching Dean when he healed him? Refusing to look at him? Get over your shit you two! There's a bigger picture here!
Adam. The most well rounded man with Winchester blood.he was locked away for years in Lucifer's cage with every reason to seek revenge and instead he ended up being the voice of reason. He wasn't vengeful or petty....he just wanted food and an apology. Like I have too much to say about him, but I want to focus on the fact that instead of being resentful towards Michael, he made friends with him. like he could have checked out, but he reached out instead. He really is a good man.
Michael. Was not what I expected. I feel sorry for him. Like, yeah he was a little extra, but I can't blame him. He just learned that he was never his father's favorite, that everything he knew was a lie, and everything he's ever fought for is meaningless. I expected him to be big and scary and go evil, and he goes and helps the out instead. I like this Michael. I hope he stays this way. Also again ...his friendship with Adam is refreshing.
Chuck has Sam and I am not okay!
PURGATORY! I always wished they would have made more out of Purgatory! It felt like a wasted opportunity. No maybe a whole ass episode! I have thoughts about what it could mean for Dean, but I will keep them to myself (for now). I'm stoked!
We are finally getting somewhere with this final season!
Over all great episode! 8.9/10. Can't wait until next month!

Chapter 15: Insurance
Chapter 15: Insurance
Disclaimers: i do not own supernatural or any of its characters, nor do i own jenny; i only own elliana and anaya
@sarimaposthumous helped write some dialogue between ellie and lucifer and also the ‘flashback’ at the high priestess. And also proofread. Thanks babe <3
Time frame: Season 11-12
Warnings: angst; TRIGGER WARNINGS: brief implied sexual assault in recap, implied suicide attempt at very end (last few paragraphs) with blood mentioned
Notes: glad to be back in the swing of writing again. It took me awhile to get into this chapter and was only able to write a couple paragraphs at a time so it might suck but here it is anyway!
Please leave comments! Thank you for reading! <3
THEN
“Sam, Dean. Good to see you again. And who’s this with you? New travel buddy? I’m Lucifer, though I’m assuming you already knew that,” the devil said, talking directly to Elliana now. “What’s your name?”
“Go to hell,” Ellie said coldly.
“Oh, I just got out of there, sweetheart,” he easily countered.
“Don’t call me sweetheart,” she spat, taking a challenging step forward. Sam and Dean pulled her back, causing Lucifer to smirk.
“I like her,” he said to the boys. “Feisty.”
“Lucifer,” Ellie said a bit distastefully, though her heart dropped to her stomach. “What do you want?” she snapped.
“Now now,” Lucifer tisked. “Damon, here, wanted to just kill you. But I had him bring you here instead. So you should really be thanking me,” Lucifer said, nodding as he continued. “I thought we could chat a bit – get to know each other.”
Lucifer put his hand on top of Elliana’s head, grasping it.
Ellie blacked out for a second before a mixture of images and feelings flashed across her mind. Her parents lying dead on the ground; falling to her knees, scared, and awaiting her death; Running fearfully from a demon; starving on the side of the road with no money left to afford a place to sleep; and-
Ooooh, what’s this? Lucifer’s voice practically purred in her mind - and Ellie could hear the smirk in it. Let’s play with this a little.
“You’re too weak. You’re powerless. There’s nothing you can do to stop me,” the vamp smirked. He fed off her until she passed out.
The rest of that day was filled with feelings of fear, powerlessness, and struggling. Her body being overtaken by his. Whatever innocence she had left from her last run in with him being stolen from her.
“All I know is that damn demon that killed her folks somehow found and possessed her, poofed her to Ohio, and dropped her off with Lucifer. He messed with her head then my contact found her. Crowley said she hasn’t said a thing since. Just been up in her room, huddled in the corner, terrified. My contact doesn’t know what Lucifer did or made her see - but she said Ellie won’t even let anyone touch her.”
NOW
Pain. That was the first sensation Elliana felt. She didn’t quite wake up; she didn’t breathe first. There was just pain. And she couldn’t tell which was worse - the physical pain, or the emotional pain.
Ellie had been writing in her journal when Garth came upstairs. “Hey Ells, I hate to pull you away before dinner but do you think you could make a quick diaper run? Jim had to go out and I was gonna help Bess feed the pup,” he asked. Elliana was more than glad to go out. It was good timing, too, since Anaya was due for a walk.
On their way, Castiel had appeared looking worked up. As soon as Cas had appeared, Anaya turned around and pricked her ears up apprehensively.
“Cas? What are you doing here?” Ellie asked cautiously, wondering why the angel would come to her since she was on hiatus from hunting; and even more so without calling or texting her first.
“Sam and Dean are in trouble and require your assistance immediately. If we had another option we would take it but you are the only one available.”
Once Cas spoke, Anaya quickly stepped in front of Ellie and lowered her ears and growled lowly at the angel.
“Anaya, what’s wrong with you?” Ellie asked, thoroughly confused. “It’s Cas!” she said, extending an arm towards him. Anaya took a challenging step forward and bared her teeth, snarling now. Elliana took these cues and pulled her angel blade out of her jacket, gripping it in an offensive position towards ‘Cas’.
“Who are you?” Ellie challenged.
“I know I’m in a different suit and all, but you still don’t know me?” the imposter said with a smirk. Their irises flashed a bright red and Anaya wasted no more time in lunging forward at Lucifer.
“ANAYA, NO!!!” Ellie screamed, trying to grab the dog’s collar. It was unsuccessful.
Lucifer flicked his wrist and it was done.
Anger, sadness, depression, fury, confusion; every emotion flashed through Ellie suddenly and all at once, sending her flying at Lucifer, angel blade pulled back to stab him in the chest but instead was met with two fingers to her forehead that sent her into a deep rest.
“Wake up, Ells!” a loud voice sneered, sending a splitting headache through Elliana’s skull. She squeezed her already closed eyes, now wet with tears, and turned her face into the floor; she now realized she was laying on a cold cement floor. A foot pushed her onto her side and she groaned, planting a hand on the floor to ground herself.
Cas- Lucifer paced idly around Ellie with a smirk as she roused, taking pleasure in her contorted face and bruised body.
“Have a nice nap?” he quipped, smirking still.
Elliana, face still turned into the pavement, said to him in a cracking voice, “You killed my dog. You killed Anaya.” She took a pause to let out a silent sob. “Why did you come for me? I’m not even hunting right now.” The girl now pushed herself up begrudgingly, every limb sore, and sat up against the wall behind her. “And I’m warded,” she continued. “How did you find me?”
Lucifer chuckled a bit, as if it was a silly question. “Jenny led me to you, of course,” he said. Ellie still was unnerved with Lucifer in Cas’ vessel; speaking in his voice.
The girl scoffed a bit, eyes still closed. “Yeah, right. Why the hell would Jenny do that to me? Especially when she was the one to get you away from me in the beginning.”
Cas-Lucifer gave the girl a smug look. “Oh, she never told you? That was all just a show. Jenny and I have quite the romance going on,” he smirked again (which Elliana was quite frankly getting sick of).
Ellie finally opened her eyes to squint at Ca- Lucifer. “Why would Jenny be with someone like you?” she spat. “The one that tortured me? She’s like a sister to me, and I’m one to her. And she was the one to help me get Sam back so you weren’t let out of the cage again.”
“Ohhh that little trip. Did you like her little nickname for me?” he said, ignoring her common sense.
Jenny scoffed at Crowley. “Do you really expect us to believe you want the Winchesters back in action? I’m sure business has been booming since they shoved Luci back in the cage and Dean hooked up with Lisa.”
“That whole trip was a pretty good coverup, minus the nickname slipup. That little ‘favor’ she owed me for letting you go? She had to get me out of the cage. But it turned out not to even be an issue for Jenny; she wanted me out,” C-Lucifer explained, still pacing in front of Ellie.
“No...no,” Elliana said, slowly shaking her head. “I don’t believe you. Jenny would never do that to me,” she continued, though her voice shook with emotion. She couldn’t help but think about what Lucifer was saying. Every cell in her body reminded her that he was the father of lies. He was just trying to beat her down. But how else would he have been able to find me? She thought. The guys don’t know where Garth’s place is and I turned the tracker on my phone off. And I’m warded so Cas/Lucifer wouldn’t be able to find me...and Jenny does keep tabs on a lot of hunters…
C-Lucifer smirked deeper, sensing the uncertainty in her. “Let’s go back in time then.” He approached her and lifted a hand towards her head, making her push herself further into the wall. “Don’t worry,” he soothed. “We’re not going to your past,” he continued, kneeling down and putting a hand on her head. “We’re going to mine.”
The two end up in The High Priestess to see Jenny on her laptop at the bar. Lucifer is standing next to Ellie with his arms crossed. Lucifer, who looks like Nick again says, “I took the liberty of changing into Nick for this little show-and-tell as opposed to your little winged friend.”
Ellie turned to see Castiel enter the bar and Jenny looked up at him, slightly taken aback by this handsome stranger. “Welcome,” she says. “Can I get you anything?”
“Just a whole lot of you,” Cas winks, his eyes turning red before blinking them back to normal.
“Lucifer!” Jenny exclaimed before leaving the bar and pulling him into a hug. He grabbed her face and pulled her into a kiss. Next to Ellie, Lucifer snapped his fingers and she saw the Castiel next to Jenny transform into “Nick.” Ellie looked at Lucifer who shrugged.
“Sorry, I couldn’t bear to see that goody two shoes angel all over my girl,“ he emphasized to Ellie to try to prove his point.
“You’re finally out of the cage!” Jenny exclaimed but took a step back to look him over. “But why do you look like this?”
“I just had to ride this vessel out to get out of there as fast as I could; I couldn’t wait to see you, babe. Not that you did much to help seeing as I was in there long enough. It seems like you didn’t even try to free me.” He stepped towards her almost menacingly, pulling a fake pout.
Jenny bit her lip and her shoulders slumped. “I’ll admit, I gave a half-hearted attempt to try to free you, but Ellie got me to try and help her free Sam and it was hard to do both without her knowing….” Jenny crossed her arms, looking at Lucifer who almost looked dejected. “And after you tormented her, how could I turn around and be with you again?  I was just so torn.”
Lucifer pulled Jenny’s arms around him and held her. “So, you’re saying that without Ellie, we could be together? No uncertainties?”
Jenny slightly pulled back to look up at him, “Honestly, yeah. She’s a reckless girl who can barely keep it together to hunt properly. I’m always stuck worrying about her and yet again I am sacrificing my happiness for her,” Jenny sighed and put her forehead to his chest.
He brushed his fingers through her hair. “Don’t worry Jenny. I’ll take care of that brat for you.”
“You will?” Her question was muffled by his chest.
“Of course. Anything for you, babe.”
The Lucifer next to Ellie snapped his fingers and they were transported to Jenny’s room. They could see the two of them kissing and Ellie could tell where this was going.
“Enough!” Ellie barked, turning her head away. Lucifer was leaning against the wall watching the scene intently.
“Oh come on, this is the best part.” Ellie turns around, grabbing her hair in her hands. Lucifer sighed and said, “Ugh fine. Prude,” and snaps his fingers, taking them back to reality.
“Do you believe me now?” Ca-Lucifer asked. “She knows how much I hurt you but she still wanted to be with me. I almost hate to say this but her relationship with me seems to outweigh your safety and friendship. Guess she wasn’t who you thought she was after all. Which is all the better for me.”
Elliana closed her eyes again so Ca-Lucifer. It’s Lucifer! she had to remind herself. She closed her eyes again so Lucifer wouldn’t see the tears building up. She didn’t want to believe what she saw but...for some reason she did. And it broke her heart.
“So why haven’t you killed me already?” she asked through gritted teeth.
“What’s the fun in that?” Lucifer asked, acting shocked at the question. “Besides, I need to have something over the Winchesters when this whole battle-against-the-darkness thing is over. Don’t worry, I’ll check back regularly,” he fake-assured her. “If I can’t, I’ll have Damon do it,” he continued, his smirk reappearing. “But first, let me just take a little picture to show them...there we go.”
Then, he snapped his fingers and vanished; leaving Ellie with only her mind. And that was just about as bad as being stuck with Lucifer.
Sam and Dean were in the library of the bunker, reading through lore to try and find anything and everything on the Darkness. Sure, they had Lucifer’s eventual help, but they still needed a game plan. Both boys’ phones buzzed at the same time, Sam’s once - indicating a message, and Dean’s ongoing - Garth was calling.
Sam opened the message, seeing it was from Cas, and saw it had a picture attached but was taking time to download.
Dean picked up the phone and Sam glanced up at him when Dean greeted him.
“Woah, Garth - slow down, man. Ga-Garth! Calm down! Now, slowly tell me what’s going on,” he commanded, initially unphased by the lanky hunter fumbling over his words.
As Garth began explaining things to Dean, Sam glanced down at his phone again to see the picture from Cas had finished downloading. His heart dropped to his stomach when he pulled it up.
“Dean-”
“Sam-”
The brothers spoke over each other, frightened looks on their faces and they looked back at one another. Sam held his phone up for Dean to show him the picture. Before either of them could utter another word, the bunker’s door opened and slammed shut again. Cas sauntered down the iron stairs, his posture in itself an indicator to the boys that Cas was not the one driving at the moment.
The boys abruptly stood up, each pulling out their angel blade, and faced Lucifer.
“Now, now, boys, do anything with those little sticks in your hands and you kill your angel buddy. I don’t think you want that, do you?” he taunted.
“What did you do with Ellie?!” Sam and Dean yelled simultaneously.
“She’s safe. For now,” Lucifer said, crossing his arms with a smirk.
“What do you want?!” Dean asked, still wielding his angel blade. He knew it wouldn’t do a thing against Lucifer but he had to have some kind of defense.
“Elliana is...insurance,” he said. “I just want to be sure when this whole mess is over you don't do anything to send me back to the cage. I won’t do anything to her if you leave me be.”
Sam straightened up, still clutching his angel blade. “Yeah? And how do we know you won’t hurt her anyway?” he asked, not believing a thing Lucifer said.
“You don’t,” he answered right away. “But do you really want to take that chance?”
“Cas, come on; help us out, man,” Dean begged, voice still rough.
“Oh I’m sorry, Cas isn’t available at the moment - would you like to leave a message?” Lucifer said smugly, fully enjoying this game.
The brothers stood down, giving each other woeful glances. For now, there was nothing they could do.
Back in the cement cell, Elliana paced rapidly, running her hands through her hair.
This can’t be happening, she thought. I finally got away from it all. I was healing through therapy, I had a family life with Garth and his family, I was going to earn my degree soon. I was away from hunting.
Then her thoughts began to get darker, realizing what she was bound to be in for. Torture, extended solitary confinement, more traumatic memories connected with Lucifer and Damon.
No, Ellie thought once more. I can’t do this again.
Frantically looking around the room again, having already looked for ways out, her eyes stopped at the small mirror hung on the wall. Her heart clenched at the thoughts crossing her mind but her fear won control and she threw her fist at the mirror, shattering it into pieces. She took a moment to look at her broken reflection on the floor before picking up a piece of glass. The last thing she remembered was the warmth of the blood running from her throat and the fluttering of wings.

A/N: I'm glad that people are liking my style of writing. I don't do much all day so the episodes are gonna come out faster than planned. I am excited about this as much as everyone else. Sam's storyline in season 4 isn't really interesting to me. I hate it but I will include some parts, I promise. Beta'd by no one so if there are any errors I'm sorry.

The wind whisked past Ariel's face, her red locks swaying along with the breeze. She wriggled her toes in the moist soil, taking a few steps toward the sun that settled on the horizon. Her sunkissed skin radiated beauty and vigor, the pink dress adding a touch of hierarchy and femininity. Poppies brushed against her ankles as the wind blew again. This was her heaven, a vast field of poppy flowers, no end in sight.
She inhaled a considerable amount of air before sighing softly. The archangel shut her eyes as she sensed the presence behind her, Castiel.
"Cassie." She teased whilst pivoting on her heel to face the combatant. She frowned once she realized that he wore a pained expression.
"If you are worried about the Rising of the Witnesses...I have faith Dean Winchester will put an end to it." She stated matter of factly as she walked past him.
"I wasn't sure if you knew, you've been told to keep an eye on the Winchesters. I know, after our learning about Lilith's activities, you seemed uncomfortable." He stated as he closed his eyes, remembering the last time the Cage was mentioned.
"If this has anything to do with that, Castiel, my answer will never change. I am fine. Now stop asking me. It happened eons ago, it doesn't trouble me..." She hesitated, looking off into the distance. "not anymore." Ariel said in a hushed whisper.
If she had to be honest, the whole situation had been stressful for her. She was too close to this, being Lucifer's closest sibling besides Michael wasn't enough. NO, father had to go and 'experiment with kindred spirits' He said. Ariel didn't hate Lucifer, well before he went evil. He was enjoyable, eccentric and cared a great deal about affection, but that was before the mark had corrupted him completely.
Lucifer and Ariel sat in the observation room, gazing at the stars and black holes. It was quiet, still, and only the two of them as the others were off elsewhere helping Father. By then, Lucifer already donned the mark but he meant no harm, right? The nefarious actions started small.
"What do you think of me?" The male asked, his fingers grazing over her dainty ones.
Ariel's eyes darted from the supernova forming to her older brother. What kind of question was that? Is he feeling self-conscious or is he just curious? When she thought of Lucifer, she thought of the good in him as well as his handsomeness. She thought of his warm fingers and pink wings which only reminded her of her own. She felt close to him. Like he was,
"Home." She hummed whilst enveloping his fingers in her own. The naive Angel flashed him a soft smile before returning her eyes to the spectacle in front of her. Little did she know, Lucifer had different thoughts. The mark screaming in his head, coercing him to commit horrible acts.
Once she gripped his fingers, he knew he couldn't control much of himself anymore.
He merely desired to take his arch blade and force it through her skull, to feel the warmth and wetness of the blood trickly down his fingers. He needed to wind her soft, red hair around his fist and corrupt her. He craved so much more and the thoughts echoed in his mind, crescendoing the longer they held hands.
He yanked his hand away like he was burned.
"Don't," He uttered, pain in his heart once he realized he could have just killed her without a second thought if a second longer had passed. He drew his knees to his chest and rubbed his thumb over the mark. He hated his father, how could he give him suck a mark. This horrible mark, slowly corrupting him, changing him.
"Is it bothering you? I could bear the mark if the task is too much." Ariel could sense the mark corrupting him but that didn't keep her away. Lucifer understood why she couldn't keep away which only made him want to butcher her more if he only could just bring himself to do it.
Ariel tried her best to help Lucifer fight the mark but soon, her hope would die out, driving the two apart.
Castiel noticed her pause as if her mind was off in another world. After Lucifer's fall, her remaining brothers grew cold, distant and the only angel Ariel genuinely liked was, Castiel. He was 'wired differently' or at least that's what most angels said about him. He came off the factory belt wrong, maybe it was on purpose but Ariel didn't care, they said the same about her.
'Damnit' Castiel thought. The disgruntled angel made his way over to his older sister,
"Ariel, we have work to do." He couldn't show compassion or understand it but he knew something was wrong. He placed a hand on her shoulder, watching her flinch. The celestial being gazed into her eyes, seeing no light or hope. She was lost.
"The seals, Rising of the Witnesses." He continued, hoping to coax her out of her fugue state. "It will be all right." Castiel demanded her attention, gripping her shoulder tight.
That phrase, she disliked what it did to her. It forced her to relax. The same phrase Michael prayed to her before casting the only person that cared about her, out of heaven.
"Yes, let's go." She murmured and with a strong flap of their wings they were in Bobby's kitchen, the humans unaware. They arrived just as the three were talking about them.
◇─◇──◇────◇────◇────◇────◇────◇─────◇──◇─◇
Sam ridiculed his brother, "Well, then tell me what else it could have been." He brought his hands to his head, massaging the bridge of his nose.
Dean paced the kitchen slowly, a hand on his hip as he responded. "Look, all I know is I was not groped by angels. Which, one is named after a Disney princess. I mean she even has the red hair."
"Okay, look, Dean." Sam retorted, "Why do you think this Ariel would lie to you about it?"
Dean held out his hands in defiance, "Maybe she's some kind of demon. Like uh... Like Lilith. Demons lie." He turned away from his brother, curling and uncurling his fingers.
"Demons who are immune to salt rounds and devil's traps...And Ruby's knife?" The more Sam talked the higher his pitch went. Sam motioned with his hands, "Dean, Lilith is scared of that thing!"
Dean shifted to face his brother, annoyance written all over his face as he rested against the kitchen counter. "Don't you think that if angels were real, that some hunter somewhere would have seen one...at some point... ever?"
Sam licked his lips and scoffed, "Yeah," He nodded. "You just did, Dean."
"I'm trying to come up with a theory here. Okay? Work with me." Dean argued as he gestured to himself.
"Dean, we have a theory." Sam huffed.
"Yeah, one with a little less fairy dust and Disney magic on it, please." Dean countered, pushing himself up off the counter and inching closer to Sam.
"Okay, look. I'm not saying we know for sure. I'm just saying that I think we-" Dean instantly cut Sam off.
"Okay, Okay. That's the point. We don't know for sure, so I'm not gonna believe that this thing is a freaking Angel of the Lord because it says so!" Dean boomed.
Bobby interrupted their passionate debate, "You two chuckleheads want to keep arguing religion, or do you want to come take a look at this?"
Dean peeped at Sam, letting out a small breath before rolling his eyes subtly and walking over to Bobby's desk, Sam followed reluctantly.
"I got stacks of lore-- Biblical, pre-Biblical. Some of it's in damn cuneiform. It all says an angel can snatch a soul from the pit." Bobby informed as he pointed to the picture of the angel holding a human and bringing it from the darkness into the light.
Dean subtly laid a hand on his right shoulder over the small handprint. "What else?" He asked, still in denial.
"What else, what?"
"What else could do it?" Dean articulated.
"Airlift your ass out of the hot box? As far as I can tell, nothing." Bobby elucidated.
Sam beamed, "Dean, this is good news."
"How?"
"Because for once, this isn't just another round of demon crap." Sam took a breath, "I mean, maybe you were saved by one of the good guys, you know?"
"Okay. Say it's true. Say there are angels. Then what? There's a God?" Dean derided.
"At this point, Vegas money's on yeah." Bobby joined.
"I don't know, guys," Dean said and waved his hand dismissively when he turned to step away. He let out a low sigh and scratched his head. He wanted to believe, he did, but something didn't feel right.
"Okay, look. I know you're not all choirboy about this stuff, but this is becoming less and less about faith and more and more about proof." Sam presented.
"Proof?" Dean asked, pivoting and wandering back to the desk.
"Yes." Sam asserted.
"Proof that there's a God out there that actually gives a crap about me personally?" Dean snapped, "I'm sorry, but I'm not buying it."
"Why not?"
Dean looked to Bobby, a distant look in his eyes before he answered, "Because why me?" He delayed, "If there is a God out there, why would he give a crap about me?!"
"Dean-" Sam started.
"I mean, I've saved some people, okay? I figured that made up for the- for the stealing and the- the ditching chicks. But do I deserve to get saved? I'm just a regular guy." Dean fought.
"Apparently, you're a regular guy that's important to the man upstairs." Sam clarified.
There was a slight pause as the three hunters stared at each other, waiting for anyone to say something. Dean looked to Bobby, then Sam with a sheepish look on his face.
"Well, that creeps me out. I- I mean I don't like getting singled out at birthday parties, much less by...God."
Sam folded his arms over his chest and shifted his weight, "Okay, well, too bad, Dean, because I think he wants you to strap on your party hat." Sam simplified with a single nod.
Dean brought his hand to his mouth and then sighed. He inspected Bobby who gave him the bitch-face as if the solution was obvious. Dean averted his gaze, his nerves going off the rails but he kept it hidden. The 30-year-old cleared his throat,
"All right. What do we know about angels?" He gave in.
Sam slowly turned his head to Bobby because he had no clue what angels were like.
Bobby stretched his arms, lifting the five books he had sitting on his desk and presenting them to Dean.
"Start reading." Bobby half-joked.
Dean stared at the pile of books with a dumbfounded expression. He twisted and pointed at Sam, "You're gonna get me some pie." He snatched the first book from the pile and went into the kitchen and begrudgingly sat at the desk stacked with lore books.
Ariel rested on the desk with her legs crossed at the ankles, the lore books phasing through her lower half as Dean placed them down. She curiously watched Dean as he sat in the chair, obviously shaken up. He gripped the sides of the chair, scooting it forward and closer to the desk. The crabby hunter dropped the book down on the desk and perched his elbows to help hold up his head.
'Why me?' He thought, raking his fingers through his sandy brown hair. He dragged his hands down his face, pulling at his cheeks. Dean let out a long and heavy sigh before picking up the angel lore book and starting from page one.
"He is so troubled." Ariel cooed.
"He has been through a lot," Castiel replied from the other side of the room, gazing intently at all the papers on the wall in Bobby's office.
Observing humans wasn't always his favorite but it was he needed to make sure his sister would be fine.
Ariel chose not to respond and instead just observed Dean's mannerisms. She lingered for a while, uncrossing her legs whilst she leaned back and rested her hands on the desk. In her seated position, she rotated her head trying to relieve pressure. She closed her eyes as she took a deep breath, her neck exposed.
Castiel broke their silence by clearing his throat, "What do you think of Dean Winchester?" He inquired, walking over to the next paper.
Ariel leaped from the table, "The poster boy for humanity." She peeped at Dean when she spoke. "He's in constant pain." She continued with a sad look in her eyes.
"I see." He replied, mouth still agape as if he had more to say but he just buried his hands deep into his trenchcoat pockets.
The sound of Bobby talking on the phone was drowned out like there was a wall of water between them. Ariel could make out what was being said, she already knew what had happened. She and Castiel watched as Bobby and Dean exit the house and walk toward the garage, gathering supplies and packing it in Bobby's car.
Ariel hummed softly as she studied a page that was left open on Dean's desk. On it resided a painted representation of the Garden. Her humming stopped abruptly. She gazed at the illustration, panic filling her eyes.
"Luci, please stop...Not in the Garden!" Ariel whimpered. She brought her hands up to protect herself from her corrupted brother.
"They are nothing, Ariel! Why do you care so much for them?! Don't you care about how I feel?! I care about you, Father only cares about what you can do for him." Lucifer bellowed, snatching her wrists in his hands. He yanked her into the foliage and then slammed her body face front, against a tree.
She yelped as her head banged against the tree with full force. She shut her eyes tightly, shaking her head as blood trickled down her forehead and in between her furrowed brows.
"You won't join me. You weren't made to obey. You were born to rebel. Why can't you understand you won't be happy here, with them. Rebel with me, We can watch the stars together, for eternity." He growled, tightening his hold on her wrist with most of his strength. The corrupted Lucifer, using his weight and strength to keep her sandwiched between him and the tree. Of course, Ariel was very powerful but wasn't enough to overpower a mark baring Lucifer.
"Please, Lucifer...this isn't you." The angel murmured, her body quivering with dread as her wings were at an uncomfortable angle and she was now being harassed by her once beloved brother.
Lucifer contemplated, he already was halfway there, the rest would be easy. All he needed to do was draw his arch blade and shove it into her skull. The twisted man drew his blade pressing only the tip against her nape. He dragged it across her skin struggling with himself and fighting the mark as best he could.
"No..." He breathed, before letting her go. He disappeared with a flap of his wings.
THUD! Ariel was pulled out of her episodic flashback. Her icy cerulean orbs met Castiel's ocean blues.
Castiel "I've been saying your name more than I should. I have been called to battle-"
"I'm staying, I'll be fine." Ariel said gently as she exited the house, following after Dean and Bobby.
The low rumble of the impala caught everyone's attention as it pulled into the driveway.
Ariel furrowed her brows as her eyes rested on Sam. Sam's aura, with what used to be a bright, white, hot glow was now dimmed, only slightly. Not good.
Bobby approached the car window, leaning over. "Keep the engine running." He commanded.
"Why? What's going on?" Sam caught a glimpse of Dean packing something in Bobby's trunk.
"I got a friend one state over-- Olivia Lowry. I've been trying to reach her for three days on this angel thing. It's not like her to ignore this many calls." Bobby informed.
"Olivia Lowry -- a hunter, right?" Sam questioned.
"Yeah. We're gonna go check on her. You guys follow me." Bobby confirmed, tapping on the door as he turned to walk back to his car.
Dean came up the driver's side and opened the door, "Scoot over." He fussed and Sam did as told whilst handing the bag of food to his older brother. Dean settled into the car, shutting the door and snatching the bag. He rummaged through it, searching for the pie.
"Dude?"
"Yeah?" Sam answered. Dean looked at Sam with a dumbfounded expression, "Wheres the pie?"
"Still at the store." She snickered to herself, appearing the back of the Impala. Ariel paid no mind to the angel and with a wave of her hand, she sent him back to where he needed to be.

I've seen a lot of discussion about how Michael was a dark mirror character for Dean. But if that was the case, shouldn't Dean have been the one to take him down? It seems to me that for Dean to go from locking Michael up in his head (ie, repression) to actually defeating him (liberation) would have carried the most symbolic weight.
Noooo I had written several paragraphs in response to this... and... I’ve accidentally lost it all...
Well first of all hello anon and thanks for the question!
I do believe that Michael was a dark mirror for Dean, but I’m talking a mirror, not the mirror, so to speak. The ultimate mirror for Dean, Cas and Sam all is Jack - and basically the Michael narrative has made us step into the Jack narrative, if it makes sense. The show rarely crystallizes a singular villain as the representation of a main character’s issues (maybe the exception being Lucifer, consistently written opposite Sam and Sam mirrors), and imo Michael was never written as the ultimate, be-all-end-all mirror for Dean.
I think that the Michael narrative could never end in a triumphant way for Dean, and honestly I’m glad it didn’t, because it would have taken away all the weight of the previous episodes. Sam and Cas chose to pursue a non-box-in-the-ocean solution to the problem, and despite Dean’s repeated warnings they stuck to it. And they paid a price. Sam’s price was the death of people he’d taken under his wing and felt responsible for (obviously Maggie’s brush with death and Sam’s guilt in 14x05 was foreshadowing for this), Cas’ price is most likely whatever has happened to Jack’s soul and whatever that will bring.
Now we can see that there wasn’t a “right” choice to make regarding the Ma’lak box - it was a Sophie’s choice all along, a price would have been paid anyway. Billie called her choice to help Dean a “calculated risk” - she took a bet, basically, in deciding to pursue the path where Dean caged himself with Michael. Sam and Cas took the other side of the bet, deciding to pursue an alternative. The alternative came, and Dean was saved from that terrible destiny... but a different price was paid. Dean was willing to pay the price himself rather than causing other people to, and now is angry, blaming himself for letting his guard down and Sam for not allowing him to get in the box...
But yeah I haven’t forgotten your question - if Michael was a metaphor for Dean’s repression, wouldn’t it make sense to have Dean defeat it? Well, I don’t think Dean is so close to a resolution that it’d make sense to have a resolution to the metaphor that isn’t foreboding and suspicious of more drama to come... we all know what looms over Cas’ happiness and it’s obvious at this point that Dean’s and Cas’ happinesses are intertwined, and I am very looking forward for Dean to become aware of the Shadow. I believe that the Shadow+Empty is the Dabb era’s turn at the narrative meanings carried by the Leviathan first and the Darkness later, which were tightly tied to both Dean and Cas. I mean, we all saw what happened when Cas was in the Empty, right? (Plus, I suspect that the Shadow's intentions are more subtle than just drag Cas back. We’ll see...)
Anyway, it’s no time for resolution. The Gorgon was a splendid metaphor for the whole ordeal, and he got slain by Jack after incapacitating Cas (which smells of foreshadowing for the developments of the Shadow deal...) and injuring Dean hard enough that Michael escapes. I’m going to elaborate on this in a proper post when I have the time, but I believe that if Michael represents the toxic aspect of repression, the Gorgon represents the toxic aspect of being a queer person without a community, without support. The Gorgon (another dark mirror for Dean, in fascinating aspects) causes the closet to open (eh) but just opening the closet isn’t enough. The Gorgon lives a lonely life, because his nature forces him to, well, cook people instead of creating connections with them. He is poisonous, and that’s what Dean is afraid of being to the people around him.
Dean needs to take the further step - embracing his connections with others. And when I say others I mean Cas. We’re talking about queer connections between men, after all. And in this very episode Cas also discusses his connection to Dean - and we see the other side of the equation, the terrible weight of being a “thing” that can only connect for so little with a human.
We are at the metaphorical stage where the door of the closet is burst open through a concussion. There’s an intriguing line spoken by the Gorgon - “Maybe you just have a concussion. Maybe this is all a hallucination?” and I’m wondering if it has a deeper meaning (as foreshadowing, I mean) than simply foreshadowing for Dean’s concussion and Rowena’s mental chat with Michael.
Tl,dr defeating the closet is only one step towards liberation, and it’s no pretty, painless process.

Supernatural - ‘Prophet and Loss’ Review
Tumblr media
"No rest for the self-destructive."
An exceptional episode on the brothers Winchester front. The rest of it? Maybe not so much.
The case of the next prophet killing innocent people in gruesome ways made me want to change the channel: the drowning, the blood, the lighter fluid. "Once last case for the Winchester boys" indeed, and it was certainly one that only Dean and Sam could solve, since they were probably the only living hunters who could put together those particular puzzle pieces. Turned out that Donatello's coma screwed up the calling of the next prophet, a guy named Tony Alvarez, who thought God was giving him kill orders. (Like Chuck would do that.)
Eddie, the twin brother of one of Alvarez's victims, said, "Losing [my brother] is like losing a part of myself. I never knew it could be this bad." Sam could have said the very same thing. Because the prospect of losing Dean by burying him alive in a Ma'Lak box was too much for Sam, who spent most of this episode talking Dean out of it. What surprised me was that Sam succeeded. At least temporarily.
That opening nightmare was just too much: Dean in that claustrophobic coffin underwater, panicking and beating his hands bloody, screaming for Sam as his cell phone went dead. This would be a fate so much worse than death, since Michael could keep Dean alive and suffering for eons. It's even worse than the Cage, or going to Hell, and there has to be another way. There'd better be. I doubt they'd do it, but if this is how they leave Dean at the end of the series (if it ever freaking ends), I'll be incredibly pissed.
Seriously. Couldn't they just cuff Dean in the bunker so that he can have food, a bed to sleep in, the internet, Busty Asian Beauties? And pie?
As they were on their way to the case, Dean tried deathbed apologies on Sam, apologizing for not being a better brother when they were kids. I was so glad that Sam was having none of it, that he said that Dean practically raised him and was the only one who was always there for him. Go, Sam. The way Dean was forced to grow up so young and be a father to Sam still gets to me. I was even a bit shocked when Dean revealed to Sam that John would send him away when Dean pissed him off.
(Although technically, we already knew that; it's what happened in the episode "Bad Boys." I thought back then it was a one-time thing. Wow, John. No Father's Day cards for you.)
Near the end, we got an excellent Dean/Sam/Baby scene. Sam was so angry and in such despair that he punched Dean in the face in an attempt to get through to him. Actually crying, Sam hugged Dean and asked him why he didn't believe in the two of them. Ackles and Padalecki always do such a great job with these emotional brother scenes, but they really pulled out the stops with this one. Since they were able to save Donatello, Dean agreed to keep trying until there is absolutely no other way. And I'm betting that we'll eventually get Dean in that coffin, although I really wish they won't go that far.
It was probably appropriate that Nick got an equally depressing B plot. After predictably freeing himself from his involuntary hospital stay with handcuffs, Nick went back to his former home in Delaware and wound up confronting Sarah, the ghost of his late wife. She never left the house because she has unfinished business, and could move on if Nick rejected Lucifer. Which I knew Nick would never do. Sigh.
Lucifer is really most sincerely dead, right? Both in Kitty Litter World and here? So how are they going to resolve Nick's storyline? Where can this possibly go?
Bits:
-- Nick's wife Sarah was initially played by Bellamy Young (Mellie Grant in Scandal), back in "Sympathy for the Devil." Here, Sarah was played by Jaycie Dotin.
-- I thought for awhile that Alvarez was being driven crazy because he was the next prophet to be called and could hear angel radio. Maybe they shouldn't have put the word "Prophet" in the title. It gave a lot away.
-- Donatello still doesn't have a soul, but he can still pretend to be Mr. Rogers, right? I like Donatello.
-- This week: Fort Dodge, Iowa; Pike Creek, Delaware; and the Happy Daze Nursing Home, wherever that is. Castiel was "Dr. Novak," his own host's name.
-- The end credit card was white. It's usually black.
-- The CW just renewed nearly everything, including Supernatural.
Quotes:
Sam: "What about Rowena?" Castiel: "She went through the entire Book of the Damned and found nothing, and I told her to do it again to see if she missed something, and uh, well, the woman has a remarkable command of profanity."
Dean: "Wow. Enochian 101. Looks like a whole semester of prophet-speak."
Castiel: "Donatello is between life and death. I mean, perhaps the next prophet was activated before his time?" Dean: "And went all Hannibal?"
Sarah: "Where are you going?" Nick: "Wherever it's darkest. Wherever he is."
Sam: "We're the guys who save the world. We don't just check out of it!"
One star for the prophet as serial killer plot, which I found really depressing; two for Nick and his wife, also depressing; three for the return of Donatello, and four for everything Sam did to get through to Dean – especially that emotional Baby/beer scene at the end, which was one of their best. Doing the math… would that make it two out of four stars?
Billie Doux has been reviewing Supernatural for so long that Dean and Sam Winchester feel like old friends. Courageous, adventurous, gorgeous old friends.

The Devil’s Granddaughter
Just an idea that’s been nagging me, I don’t think anything more will come of it.
~~~*~*~*~~~
Lucifer sat there staring balefully at two moms, a magician, a demigod, the cyborg, the exorcist, the cabbie, the witch, the Winchester boys, Jack, the Angels, and Michael. Rachel was being treated by Maze and the doctor and he was refraining from roaring at the children he was sitting around with.
This entire catastrophe had actually forced him to reconcile with Gabriel, Azrael, Amenadiel, Raphael, Jack, and Cas; not something Lucifer wanted in the long run. But his wants were overrun by the importance of the real problem they faced. Michael sat there with his arm in a sling, but Raven had suffered a brunt of the attack.
“A human Luce, really?” Gabriel sneered a bit as he sipped his whiskey.
“It’s the human or the witch and the demon is a human right now,” Lucifer defended as he stared down at the mob before him.
“And I thought you were locked in the Cage again!”  Gabriel surged to his feet.
“Really, little brother?” Lucifer growled.
“How did you get out, again?” Sam sighed.
“The Cage is this body!” Rowena snapped as if it was obvious, and Lucifer tipped his glass to the witch because the obvious was stated now. His Grace, his abilities, his years of rest since escaping the hold of Crowley with the aid of Maze, his ever loyal Mazikeen had come to his rescue from the Princes of Hell, the Angels, the Winchesters, and the Endless.
“That is not important, what is important is the problem.”
“Yeah, she’s dead, I saw her die with my own eyes!” Constantine snapped.
“The whole world watched that girl die!” Dean snapped. “Now I’m used to freaky, but what’s dead usually stays dead.”
“Don’t be so quick to say that, I recall two humans who have died hundreds of times sitting before me right now, and on the matter, there’s a particular mortal that this demon is attached to that has returned from the grave, things come back, it just isn’t common,” Lucifer snapped icily. The girl’s return though, that signified powerful magic; Endless Magic, no mortal could have brought her back unless an Endless was playing in the game. Only problem, the power had obviously been harnessed through a human who didn’t know how to use it, or hadn’t been properly taught, or intentionally botched.
“I’m just glad my baby is back, but why is she back?” the blonde said.
“Harley!?” the redheaded green woman grabbed the blonde.
“No, I missed Rae, God knows I did, she’s my baby sis, but why is she back!?” the cyborg snapped.
“This is powerful magic, obviously, but what’s wrong with her?” The foxy magician asked flatly.
“What is supposed to be wrong with her?” his son finally asked.
“She’s the daughter of a powerful demon, named Trigon, she’s one of the most powerful magic beings other than a god or an angel,” the demigod murmured.
“Oh, that’s an understatement,” the Englishman laughed. “That’s the Gem of Scath, the ONLY daughter of Trigon, the only demon that’s stronger than any Prince of Hell, more dangerous than Lilith, and more lethal than the Brujería. Trigon is the only thing older than any monster on this plane of existence, he was sired near the start of creation. And She is his only daughter. She is a cultivation of ALL his power, the Heir to his Power, the only being known to have bested him, even kill him.”
“And that’s important why? I saw this chick die,” Dean snapped.
“There must be a reason she’s back then,” Sam muttered.
“Aye, and it’s probably not a good reason,” Rowena’s brogue was thick as she stared at them.
“Why couldn’t se remember us!?” Harley whispered.
“That’s what I’m trying to tell you!” Lucifer roared as he threw the glass in frustration. “That girl came running into my club, bloody, torn up, and not all here, she believes her name is Rachel Roth, I took the liberty of going through her mind and she has NO recollection of being Raven, or the Gem, I cannot sense Trigon’s power in her mind, or his soul in her heart, he isn’t there? Whatever brought her back didn’t do it right!”
“And you know this how?”
“Only one thing has more power than Daddy Dearest to bring a creature like the Gem to life,” Lucifer stated.
“You don’t honestly…” Cas started.
“They’re dead, Luci,” Raphael grimaced.
“That’s not…” Azrael started.
“They were sent into the Nothing, by Father,” Amenadiel stated.
“’Scuse me, but what the hell are we talking about?” Dean sighed.
“I’d like to know as well,” Constantine decided.
“The Endless,” Michael sighed. “Particularly, Death.”
“Destiny would also have the power,” Lucifer reminded his brother.
“I thought they were myths,” Zatanna said.
“And what’s an Endless?” Jack asked.
“Endless were before Light and Darkness took form and created the Universe, Endless were here before anything, before time, before existence. They are the Nothing, they are the beginning, the end, the infinity, to have thought them gone is foolish, they cannot ever be gone because they aren’t even really here nor ae they really there,” Constantine said.
“You have encountered an Endless?” Lucifer deduced.
“Yes, difficult creatures, but what would this have to do with the Gem and her resurrection?”
“And why is she back Luci?” Michael snarled.
“In the beginning before there were four of us, and we were at War, Father asked me to bear something of his, a curse, it was not particularly pleasant. You’d be familiar with it, the Mark of Cain,” Lucifer stated. He watched Gabe’s eyes widen a bit, Michael grimaced, Amendadial looked mortified, Azrael looked away and Raphael just stared dumbly at him. Dean downed his drink though, and Lucifer smiled.
“It was the ‘Gift’ Father bestowed on me. Of course he would not grant me a true gift, a gift was reserved for the favored son, the good son. But before I fell I held the Mark of Cain. The War ended, we were victorious, our dear Auntie was driven back, and the Brujería were defeated, locked in the Nothing, with the Endless’ help.
“This of course is when Daddy Dearest started his love affair with creation, which was find, it was acceptable. Until he got to Earth and discarded us in favor of his perfection,” Lucifer sneered.
“Luce, that isn’t,” Amenadiel started, but he glowered at his younger brother.
“It is, you foolish child, nothing but a child at the time, none of you saw what this love affair was doing to our mother. Of course Micheal’s solution was to be a drone for Father, Gabriel and Raphael were ordered to watch the brood, and I was to fall in line, raise you lot, to be a good second son and forgotten, but the Mark of Cain, it brings out the worse. It was after our dear Mother’s extinguishment, that I turned to the Nothing for answers, only to encounter an Endless.
“Dear Ol’ Chuck was more focused on turning you into super slaves, and having his utopia. We were never his children, not in ways that would matter to him if he was a Father, a Real Father. I rebelled, and fell, he took his curse from me, but I guess he soon learnt it was more than he could ever control.
“In my banishment I sought out the Endless, particularly, I sought out Death. I encountered her, she was furious with Father too. Apparently, Daddy Dearest forgot who was before him, who had granted his power, and the promises and deals he had made with them to win the War. Angered I offered Death the full power of an Archangel to make a weapon to destroy all that Father had created a Monster unlike any other.”
“Trigon.” Cas supplied.
“Yes. Did you ever wonder why it was that we could not defeat him, brother?”
“The spawn of an Archangel and Endless…” Jack’s eyes widened.
“You thought you were powerful, you’ve never seen what true power was. Trigon’s raw power destroyed worlds, I locked him in Hell when he was unable to be reasoned with or controlled, or harnessed, and even then, I only had enough to seal him a fraction of the way, before Michael locked me in that damn Cage!”
“You created Trigon!” Rowena squeaked.
“Yes, you could say he’s my first born, and the most dangerous of my creations. An Endless intervened though, and it is why we have had the Gem of Scath. Raphael should know, it was his Nephilim created her home, and negotiated with the Endless to create the Gem.”
“What?” his younger brother looked shocked.
“You didn’t honestly think the Queen of Sheba just perished weakly at the hands of humans. The daughter of the third Archangel, the strongest Nephilim before Jack? She creature Azarath!” Lucifer snapped. “She birthed the most powerful sorcery known to anyone, she created a universe between the multiverse, she taught the Sorceress Supreme, she fought Father in Single Combat to defend Michael! You dare to think so little of a Nephilim,” he chuckled icily.
“Azar bartered with an Endless, Destiny, to bring down Trigon because she saw him consuming the Nothing, until only he remained. Ending all cycles, she fought Trigon’s Sons, she battled them all, and she was more powerful than anyone foresaw, even Father respected Azar. But Azar knew her end.
“From my understanding Destiny and Azar’s deal was the key to Trigon’s destruction, and began cultivating the Gem of Scath’s magic line through the powers of natural Homo Magi. Morgana le Fay, the Raven, the magic lines of some of the most lethal magicians known, they cultivated to Alan Roth and Oolijee’s lines, two raw magic types, unharnessed. They sired Arella, all that magic powered into one weak human, who repressed her powers, only to summon Trigon and sire the Gem of Scath.”
“And she died in battle, the who fucking world saw it!” Harley screeched.
“And now she’s back,” Lucifer said.
“Why is she back?” Ivy asked him icily.
“That is the million dollar question I want an answer to,” Dean decided.
Lucifer however looked to the magician and the witch. The dawning lit on their faces.
“None of us are strong enough to face the other Michael, he will annihilate us all.”
“You think she was brought back to fight him?” Michael sneered.
“She’s the Gem of Scath, why else would she be here?” Gabriel whispered.
“She’s evil.” Zatanna started.
“No necessarily, The world is not black and white, good and evil, we are all comprised of both, the Gem would be no exception. Clearly this is important to her as she has rejected her Gem heritage and only accepted the identity of being a wee human, the weak Rachel Roth, who has two mother, a brother,” Rowena observed.
“And why have all of us here then?” Constantine asked.
“Because he is here for her, even if she doesn’t remember herself,” Lucifer said softly.
“Who?” Raphael asked.
“Micheal,” Jack answered.
“I am not!”
“The other Michael,” Jack deduced.
“Ding-ding-ding, we have a winner, we need to get the Gem to Gotham,” Lucifer chuckled humorlessly.
“Why, we could just call the JL or Fate, even the Order of Magic,” Zatanna said.
“Because, magician, this is not hat trick, there is an Archangel, bred for nothing but war, who has been fighting endlessly in another parallel universe against beings who make Superman and the JL look like gnats. This is my granddaughter, not a normal demon you’re trying to move and Michael is hunting her and she can’t even remember who she is.”
“She’s a lot more than a demon though,” the demigod whispered.
“What!?” Most of the Angels roared.
“That’s right, she’s part demon, part Archangel, part Endless, part human and all magic, what the hell were you thinking Luci!?” Amenadial demanded, drawing himself up to his full height.
“I was thinking about destroying Father,” Lucifer snapped.
“Enough, fighting won’t solve what we need to do,” Sam shouted.
“And what are we going to do?” Rowena demanded.
“I don’t know,” Sam admitted. “Yet.”
“And why Gotham?” Harley asked.
“It might jog her memories into her other life, if her family couldn’t ignite that information in her soul then perhaps this Jason fellow can,” Lucifer stated.
Supernatural Parody 2 - Review
Now I’ve been a fan of Hillywood for a couple of years now. I wouldn’t say I’m a superfan, but I really do enjoy their stuff, and I think they’re both incredibly talented. They’ve had their good stuff, and they’ve had their not so good stuff, but that’s not what we’re here for. Right now, we’re here to review their second Supernatural Parody.
Please remember that this review is based on my opinions, and my thoughts and feelings while watching/listening to this parody. I’ve seen it a few times now, so this isn’t my initial reaction, but I can tell you, my initial reaction was full of screaming, yelling, and disturbing the locals.
Possible spoilers below if you have not yet seen this parody!
So we start out with their usual intro with a collage of their supporters, the super-awesome blend of Supernatural title screen cards, and a request to not repost this anywhere. That’s REPOST, not share. Share the Hell out of it to get them the love they deserve, but don’t repost it and make it look like it’s yours or something, because that’s a douchebag move and you’re scum if you do it. As they say, help protect the work of online creators!
The first thing you hear is a phone ringing, and you see a short list of who stars. Upon seeing Osric Chau, I knew it was going to be good, because it’s Osric guys. And Hannah Hindi has phenomenal directing skills, so massive kudos to her for pulling this together the way she did alongside Hilly and the others.
When the screen finally comes to the start of the video itself, you get Misha. Misha Collins. Yes, that same Misha who plays the damn Angel that everyone – myself included! – is obsessed with. The same Misha who created GISHWHES. (more on that another time!) And he is playing a receptionist. If you don’t get this reference, you need to watch the movies, because seriously, that’s some good shit. I however got the reference, and this was my first screech moment. Misha Collins, playing the receptionist from Ghostbusters. YES! And my gosh, Misha does it so well. He just fits so naturally into the roll and he brings something to it that is just right. He answers the call, gets the information needed, and with a delighted yell, he hits the bell. Please welcome to the stage; Osric Chau and Hilly Hindi! And of course, Hilly’s lunch.
Osric, if you remember, was in the very first Supernatural Parody, so it’s fantastic to see him back reclaiming his role as Sam Winchester, our loveable Moose! Osric of course is not Jared, but he brings something of his own to the character of Sam and he does it incredibly well. He and Hilly work so well together. There’s a chemistry there that just makes them click, and everything they do throughout this parody is flawless and well-done. And this is when the music really kicks in, you hear the siren that makes you feel really nostalgic, and you see the beloved Impala with a bit of a makeover to fit the theme. I will forever envy that they get to use the Impala for these parodies, because holy hells bells, I would kill to have an Impala! The music has a much more rock feeling to it than the original does, so my inner Rockstar was thrilled. And instead of “Ghostbusters”, we have a call of “Winchesters!” This made me smile to no ends.
Immediately I felt that the lyrics fit so well that it’s not even funny, and the song is well re-written/parodied for this. They did a fantastic job on that front.
Insert my second screech of the day, Samantha Ferris and Chad Lindberg! Respectively, Ellen Harvelle and Ash, both of whom were amazing characters in the show, and I was so, so mad when they came to their ends. Following them, we had Alaina Huffman, known on the show as Abaddon, and the giant suicidal from that one episode where I imagine most if not all of us were wondering what the Hell was going on. She was my third screech, because I adore Alaina, and I was so, so glad she featured here. And, having watched the two hour long behind the scenes footage, I know that the guys behind moving the teddy did a really, really good job in making the movements fluid and alive.
Cue more epic dancing and acting from Osric and Hilly! Followed by a party in the Impala, and Jim Beaver. Good ole’ Bobby Singer himself! I screamed so loudly that the locals wondered if someone was being murdered or not. We will never not love Jim in this fandom, and we will always welcome him back with open arms no matter what the writers do to try and get rid of him. And damn it, Hilly, you’re so lucky that was a fake mirror!
On the verse talking about the hellhounds, we had Ruth Connell. An absolute Queen, and the perfect actress to have played Rowena in the show. Even in silk pyjamas with her hair in rollers, she was beautiful and graceful as ever. And she needs her beauty sleep don’t you know? Let’s get those Hellhounds out of here!
Hilly was disappearing through the mirror she’d broken, but it was a good thing Jim and Osric were there, because let’s be honest, would Bobby and Sam really, truly let Dean disappear like that? I don’t think so!
Another Impala party with lots of plaid. Every plaid fan is melting by this point because look at it all! And if you watch carefully enough during the Impala party scenes, you’ll see the appearances from Lauren Tom (Kevin’s mother), Tyler Johnston (Samandriel), Tahmoh Penikett (Gadreel), Adam Rose (Aaron Bass), Adam Fergus (Mick Davies), Michael Borja and Billy Moran of Louden Swain, Jason Manns (writer/performer of various episodes), and Clif Kosterman, who is not only Jared and Jensen’s personal bodyguard and driver, but also made an appearance as “Tiny” in Folsom Prison Blues from season 2, and also briefly as the wrestler Wrecking Ball Calhoon in Beyond the Mat in season 11. We also get another appearance from Sam and Chad (Ellen and Ash), because hey, who doesn’t want to see these two dancing in plaid?
I feel like I forgot to mention the scene recreated from “Changing Channels” because that was an amazing, funny episode, and was recreated very well in the various clips of it throughout this section of the parody.
Jake Abel is next to make his appearance, and finally, after 8 seasons, we get to see Adam Milligan getting his ticket right out of the cage in the form of a get out of hell free card! Monopoly reference anyone? But really, I’m so glad to finally see Adam getting out of there. It’s been too long, guys! Way too long!
Richard Speight Jr is back, but not as Gabriel this time. Instead, he claims the role of news channel host T. Rickster. D’you get it? Trickster? I thought it was a good joke… Rob Benedict follows as the on-site reporter instead of playing God, who to the fandom will always be known as Chuck. Both are hilarious in their own rights, and bring some bounce and joy to the reporting characters, so good casting call right there girls! And not only would I love to hear some of Rob’s ghost stories, but he referenced the thing! The saving people, hunting things! Did anyone else add the family business to the end of that line or was it just me?
I’m not going to continue to retell the whole parody like this, because honestly, you can see it for yourselves. Go and check it out on Hillywood’s YouTube page. Throughout the rest of this parody, just when you think they couldn’t possibly fit anymore guest star appearances into it, they do! We get to see Curtis Armstrong (Metatron), Alex Calvert (Jack the Nephilim), Briana Buckmaster (Sheriff Donna Hanscum), Kim Rhodes (Sheriff Jody Mills), Mark Pellegrino (Lucifer), Julian Richings (Death) and Stephen Norton, also of Louden Swain. Of course we have more scenes of Misha as the receptionist, and finally, the appearance of Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, respectively, Sam and Dean Winchester.
I feel like Jensen and Jared had way too much fun pretending to be ghostbusters in this. They did a great job, as expected, and they really brought something to it, as did all the other stars appearing. You have to admit, Death himself enjoying some pizza is probably one of the best things we’ve seen on the internet in a while. It certainly was for me, and it definitely beats all the cat memes I’ve been watching! Adam Stuckey taking back his roll as Crowley was a massively well-made choice, because he just does it so well, from the facial expressions down to the mannerisms. I feel like Mark Sheppard would be proud!
All in all, this parody is one long video of screaming, getting excited, dancing along and yelling at your friends each time you see one of the actors show up to play their part. I thoroughly enjoyed everything from the music, right down to re-creation of some of the iconic scenes. And you can never get enough references, either! Yellow eyes, though, was probably one that made us all huff a little because look at all the trouble this guy caused! The music was a perfect choice, the dancing was flawless and the acting was on point. Another amazing parody from the Hillywood Show. Both girls are super talented, and did an amazing job with everything.
Please do check them out, I’ll add links below to both the parody, and the BTS video. Show the girls and their channel some love and support because they deserve every little bit of it!
