im rushing genshin a teensy bit (as in ive made more progress on my new account in the past 3 months than I did on my old account which I had for 2 years) and I noticed that the really big downside of playing the game like this (lore grinder and explorer) does indeed make your builds suck ass. like why is clearing content difficult wtf 😭😭
#nothing that frustrates me more than not being able to complete abyss#i love doing abyss#its fun stress#so not being able to get that satisfaction at the end </3#hurts my soul#anyways trying to rush completing all those region achievements#also get treasure compasses for liyue and inazuma#idk which order yet bc on hand I did an oopsie in inazuma and didn’t keep track of what seelies n puzzles I alr did#on the other hand I like doing things in order lol#bullshitting

How I Farm Primogems
Daily commissions and Events are BASIC, do them everyday. There's no other option.
Use your resin!!! Follow a tutorial on how to build characters. Even if you can't 36 star the abyss, it's important that you try. I believe you should start building them one-by-one, start with the Healer, DPS, Sub DPS/Support/Utility/Etc.
Do the Battlepass!!! It gives you Acquainted Fates, which can be recycled for Intertwined fates on Paimon's Bargain
Same thing with leveling up characters.
Adventure's Guide
Web events!!!!!!
Make sure you already have the Treasure Chest Compass of Each Region. You can get it by finishing your quests, bounties, requests and so on. Go to the Reputation thing on each city. Use it all the time while exploring and doing quests and whatever else.
Use the Teyvat Interactive Map to help you find stuff!!!!! It's Hoyoverse's Official Map, so it's always updated.
Don't forget the daily login!!!!
Talk to Neko on Seirai Island everyday for 20 extra primogems.
Feed the Foxes on Dragonspine so they give you a chest
Do these other things in order so you won't get lost on what you've done or not yet.
Level up Mond statue to 10.
The Stamina will help you A LOT on the exploration.
Mondstadt quests!!!
Archon quest -> Story quests -> World quests
Most of them give either primogems or achievements. Make sure to finish them all.
Dragonspine tree!!
Be brave and complete Dragonspine. I trust you. You can do it.
Completing that TCG book also gives you primogems.
Any Mondstadt puzzle you might have missed
You can always search on YouTube what puzzles and secret chests are there to help you grind.
Kill the Lawachurls on Dragonspine.
Liyue Statues to 10!!!
Other than stamina, it also opens the 9 Pillars of Peace quest, so you need to do it.
The Luminous Chasm Stone I Forgot The Name
Again it can be done as you explore the chasm but I'd recommend doing it before the chasm quests because it helps a lot with exploring.
Liyue quests!!!
Archon quest -> Story quests -> World quests
This include the chasm and every quest you might have not finished. There's a lot of them.
Level up your teapot!!
Liyue puzzles and secret chests you might have missed
Inazuma Quests!!
You need the Archon Quest and some World Quests to do things and go places in peace. Do them first.
Inazuma Statues
They actually give primogems!!!!
The Narukami Tree
It gives you fates every X levels, I don't remember how many tho.
Enkanomiya quests, sigils and puzzles
Any other chest you might have missed
Sumeru Quests
Sumeru Aranara Tree
I don't actually know if it's a tree, but you out dendro sigils there.
Sumeru statues
I don't think they can be completed yet, might be wrong.
Sumeru chests and puzzles.
Achievement hunting
Some of those you might be able to do simultaneously, but keep track of your progress.
The begining is slower but helps making the other stages easier, and sometimes you don't even have to go that far. I'm still doing the Narukami Tree, and got various characters just doing the despair method.

i fear for my life there.
i can't use the inazuma treasure compass...
i've been using it to get the inazuma chest achievements (haven't cleared mondstadt and liyue yet, don't have the sumeru/fontaine one yet), just got the first 3 islands done.
and i still feel guilty for not using a pet net on the coral crystalflies from that one event years ago. it haunts me.
i have also not touched the chasm either. i should really level up my chasometer or whatever it was
LMDBAJSHSJ Fearing for your life in Enkanomiya is so fucking valid actually. There are literally islands there I can't get to because I didn't unlock all of the waypoints there way back when, idk how to travel to them now and at this point I'm too afraid to ask
The Chasm was another place I hit to get Wrio funds at Lumenstone level 8 you get two intertwined fates

honestly i hate exploring sm 🥹 . i did try inazuma but i couldn’t fix anything after awhile so i gave up …. and none of the islands are 60 % or more explored so idk why i can’t find anything 😔 . i tried sumeru as well but it just felt so big and overwhelming that i isolated myself in monstat and gave up on that too 💀 .
trying to get primos for achievements is an actual headache so i just let the achievements come naturally 😭 . and i also try to save the characters story quest and hangouts for when i like really REALLY need the extra primos yk ?!?! i don’t have much left of either anyway 🤗 .
yeah i honestly think so too !
i should start doing talents before artifacts too because i hate collecting the stuff for the talents 🥹✌🏾 . i hope you get everything you need for him eventually so good luck ! and yeah it never really does 😭 .
ahhh, i'm the opposite, i really enjoy exploring ahah. i've finally been farming reputation exp in each region to unlock all the wings, so that's getting me all of the treasure compasses, and it's super helpful for exploration. i've 100%-ed mondstadt, working on liyue and am grinding rep in inazuma 🥲 but dw, you'll get there soon 🤧
ngl i haven't even touched the new desert, and have hardly done any world quests in both parts of them pahaha i really couldn't be bothered, i've been too busy and there are just other things i want to do lolll
i'm slowly getting through the hangouts, but i'm saving the story quests for when i have more time to pay attention to them, because i have ayato, yelan and kazuha's left, as well as the sumeru gang, and they're currently really high on my favourite list hehe. my extra primos comes from grinding waypoints in the new desert area or leaving a hangout on in the background while i multitask 💀 not a great way to efficiently manage my workload but we vibing.
talent farming is so tedious, i much prefer the thrill of "i hope this is going to be a good artifact !" whereas for talents you need to wait a certain day to farm them, and then when you do, it's just the same things sjfnksglsmg it feels like a chore. i've been pretty efficient farming for yelan though, thankfully i get a lot of talent material for her from events pahaha
hoping i get her, i have enough pity and wishes saved for a 5 star, but i'm on the 50/50 🥲 praying i'll get her cause i've wanted her since her release and she'd be an amazing support for my alhaitham

AAAA does anyone have any tips on farming primos quickly I've got a couple ways but they take a fair bit of time 😭

Serena’s travel experiences across Teyvat
Mondstat
Probably the most uneventful one. It was just the standard exploration, but she found the rolling hills and fields were very fun to run through at full speed. Going into the city itself was a treat - when people at Angel’s Share found out she was Grace’s daughter, everyone was buying her drinks. She’s too nice to turn down things people give to her, so she got... pretty drunk actually. At some point in the night, Diluc forbade anyone else from buying her drinks. She wound up throwing up somewhere in the outskirts of the city and passing out under a tree for about fourteen hours, and woke up with the most wicked hangover. Any time she’s visited Mondstat, she’s made it a point to avoid going into the city, and specifically Angel’s Share.
Liyue
Another uneventful trip; she didn’t explore all of the area as she made it a point to avoid encroaching on the Adepti’s territories. She does remember when she first saw Wangshu Inn, finding it to be amazing. It was one of the rare moments where she did decide to stay in an inn and not camp out, eating her fill and sleeping in a bed. It was there she also learned how to use chopsticks. Liyue was also the place where she jumped a group of treasure hoarders, beat them all up, and swiped three of their treasure compasses for three different regions. Liyue is also where she had a lot of run-ins with the Fatui, finding them hanging out around ruins and other similar sites. She wanted to see the ruins, the Fatui were in the way, so they were subsequently dealt with.
Inazuma
Inazuma was honestly a blast for her. It’s where she found an injured Merlin, found out later he was actually a kitsune, and just... hung out with him after that. Narukami was where she spent a bulk of her time, hiking up to Grand Narukami shrine to see the sacred sakura. She also drew a fortune slip there, and it’s something she’s held onto to this very day still.
Kannazuka and Yashiori were close in vicinity to where she just made a cryo bridge across the ocean to get to them, exploring the dilapidated remnants of villages and taking out any nobushi she came across there. When she was on Kannazuka, she did want to explore Tatarasuna, but the balethunder kept her from sticking around for long. It felt like her skin kept convulsing from the electricity, and she didn’t want to push her luck. Beyond Inazuma City, there weren’t a lot of heavily populated areas. There was a lot of sprawling nature that she took pictures of with her kamera and mailed back home to Fontaine.
Watatsumi Island was the last island she went to, as Seirai Island was too far to bridge to (and she’s totally unaware of Tsurumi Island’s existence). The light colors, roaring waterfall, and crystal waters made the island look like it was out of a dream. She spent a lot of time swimming and diving for fish, and gliding from the clifftops.
Sumeru
Sumeru was a lot. It is a very warm place, and she felt very thankful she had her cryo to keep her sufficiently cooled. The deserts were dry hot, the rainforests were humid hot. The academy did seem like it’d be interesting to her, but the scholars there seemed very pretentious and she ultimately decided to not go in. As much as she did want to read and research at the library, it felt very odd. She stuck to the rainforests during the day, making sure not to accidentally step in quicksand or eat any weird looking plants. The desert was a place she explored after the sun set, not wanting to get heat exhaustion and go through all of her water supply.
Natlan
Natlan was a somewhat similar experience to Sumeru, in terms of climate. The volcanic geography made the temperatures warm, but not unbearably so. She could at least venture out in the day and not feel overheated. Natlan has a lot of natural hot springs, which she spent a lot of time in once night fell. Her skin had never felt so smooth in her life. She also picked up on a lot of Natlanian cuisine, enjoying the various spices they put into their foods. Spices were hard to come across in the wild, but she made sure to take a bottle with her. She uses it very sparingly, and dreads the day she runs out.
Snezhnaya
Snezhnaya was the most tense experience she had. Serena went to the icy region at the start of winter, partially in hopes she could hone her cryo vision better. Instead, she was constantly hiding and sneaking, avoiding the eye of the Fatui the best she could. Snezhnaya was teeming with them, and she had nearly had a run-in with Signora. Serena had hid in a bush as she passed by with dozens of Fatui soldiers, seeing the cryo delusion very clearly. There were two other harbingers she saw there, one was out in a winter storm training their troops, and the other she spotted near a lone factory in the wilderness.
Her impression of Snezhnaya was that it was cold, first of all. There were blizzards constantly, with one lasting for a literal month straight. She also noticed a lot of factories, smokestacks churning out black smoke into the grey skies. It also felt like she was constantly being watched by someone, or something, making her feel on-edge the entire time she was there. It was an interesting trip and helped her build up more resistance to the cold, and also making the cryo she wove colder than before. She also got even better at sneaking, and Snezhnaya is the place where she truly refined those skills, becoming utterly undetectable. If Serena didn’t want to be seen, she almost always wasn’t, and this was cemented even further when night fell.
It was dangerous, but she did meddle with the Fatui when the opportunity arose. She never attacked when a harbinger was present, knowing that would likely spell her death if so. At night, she’d sneak into their camps and loot them of their supplies, totally cleaning them out and rendering them with nothing. Other times, she’d attack small groups of soldiers. Her goal was to be as much of a nuisance as possible, and she did exactly that. By the time the Fatui had caught on to her and whispers spread among the group about her actions, she had already left Snezhnaya and was virtually untraceable. They had other things to worry about anyways, so word about her didn’t stick for long. However, every winter, talk about her comes back, with the troops wondering if she’ll strike them again.
#🌹 icy veins‚ warm heart | genshin impact.#alcohol tw#emetophobia tw#im making her a winter urban legend in the fatui bc i can :)#the fatui: do you think she'll come back again in the winter.... she took our supplies the last time and we just had to eat snow#scaramouche: can you guys shut the fuck UP OH MY GOD#also the tsaritsa just lowkey watching her like oh! this is interesting! :) i rmr giving u that vision!#snezhnaya is the most interesting bc she literally was like i wanna go there to be a better cryo user#and then it turned into 'i wanna be as annoying as possible'#bless up to goddess selene for inherently making her sneak better and bless up to serena herself for polishing it to perfection
