Monster Drama Danger Tiers

Here I’ve organized all my OCs into handy categories to give an idea how I’d generally like them to be treated in any given plot.

However, please note that all is fair in crack roleplay: just be aware of course, that crack is not canon and not serious. You can also use anon to mess around and find out without consequence. Though if I feel you’re abusing crack rp to do nothing but avoid consequences, Imma cut you off.

Literal Cosmic Supergod

The Producer

This is a world ender. A reality bender of terrifying prepositions. It’s not even really a character as much as it is a force of destruction. For this reason, I am incredibly selective on who gets serious plots with this thing. A good rapport is required before I bring the Producer into our plots in any significant way. It can be defeated, but that would need to be in one hell of a big overarching plot, if you feel ambitious and also if I trust you.

Boss Monsters

The Gourmand, Static, Tabs, Altar, Ari, Jelly, Carbonia, Nil, Trash, Bittersworth, We

Boss monsters are also still extremely powerful, (but the Producer definitely needed a category to itself lol). I expect narrative gravitas given to these characters. They aren’t to be brushed off (by the plot; characters will behave ic to mess around and find out obviously). Think of them as final bosses. Defeatable, but needs a lot of building up, and probably with things to overcome before even reaching them. As well, I won’t allow the first several plots we get to be defeating one of these. Again, build up. As well, no one is guaranteed a “kill the boss” plot: it all depends on what’s narratively satisfying.

This is your standard character. Not OP like the boss monsters but still with a respectable level of bite or seriousness that forbids them from being a total punching bag by the narrative. Not much else to say. Just some guys.

Slugsworth, Maiden, Marinus, Huey, Sleezey, Wheezey, Cheezey, Dustdevil, Max, Null, Walter, Sebastian, Kattz, Scrapper, Roja, Chip, Zelle, Charlemagne, Rogue

These characters may be humiliated and trounced. Keep in mind, this doesn’t equate to these guys necessarily being pushovers. That may be the case, but what also might be the case is they are massive jerks who need comeuppance, or they’re chaotic stupid and need to be whacked with consequences. Keep in mind, even with these characters, I’m definitely going to get bored if interactions are nothing BUT humiliation.

Notes from the new Rolling Stones Japan article with Pete and Patrick Pt.1 :

Interviewer asked about how Summer Sonic was, especially since it was their first since 2019. Patrick said the show went like they hoped, which rarely happens (lol). Said Japanese audiences are special. He gets asked about how concerts in Japan are, but it's hard to explain unless you experience it. Said can't explain it well, but there's a lot of give and take of energy.

Interviewer asked about Pete saying there was a song inspired by Japan on the SMFS album. Pete said "The Kintsugi Kid" was the song about how he felt when he was in Japan, it's obvious by the title. "The Kintsugi Kid'' bridges "I Am My Own Muse" and "So Much (For) Stardust." Said Patrick wrote the songs but in his interpretation, the sonic landscape of the song reminds him of Japan.

Patrick said he's always been quite influenced by Japan, especially on this album. Said people might not register it from the sound, but he's been influenced by the Yellow Magic Orchestra & their synthesizer sounds. He didn't use much synthesizer on the album but a lot of the songs started with synthesizers. He got the same synthesizer Yellow Magic Orchestra used and started writing songs from there. He's a big fan of Studio Ghibli movies and loves Joe Hisaishi's music. Said when doing string/orchestra horn arrangements, he wanted to create a sound that was as appealing to the heart/poignant as his. Even though their music/sound was completely different, he wanted to try it. Said he especially tried to evoke the feeling he got on "The Pink Seashell."

Interviewer asked about TTTYG's 20th anniversary and how they could have done an anniversary tour but they didn't and instead released SMFS with gusto.

Pete said the most important thing is that you stick to what you think is right. Said there was a punk band he liked when he was younger, and they didn't change at all. Talked about how artists like David Bowie or the Clash changed their styles to almost unrecognizable lengths and how some fans left because of it. But when he listens to the albums after getting older, he can reflect on his own changes and find new appreciation for songs he might not have liked at the time.

Pete said celebrating the past too much feels patronizing and not very fall out boy-like. They continue making new music, sometimes they succeed, sometimes they don't. Even if something doesn't work out as well, he's like [it is what it is/that happens], and that some people might say they liked it. He's got albums he likes and albums he dislikes from his own favourite artists. Said they always make new albums that challenge their past works. Of course they hope people like it, but getting good reviews/being appreciated isn't the only reason they continue making music.

Patrick said he doesn't like making an album to celebrate the 20th anniversary, or having an anniversary to showcase past songs. Reasons was that first, the past songs are always in rotation in their sets so they don't stop playing them. Second, like Pete said, they prefer to keep pursuing new music and that stance hasn't changed from 20 years ago. Said deviating from that feels dishonest like they're lying to themselves.

Pete was like [it's how Steven Spielberg didn't make E.T. Part 2.] Patrick was like [exactly!] and said that being honest with themselves was their pure form.

also there's a page 2 to the article but i'm tired :[. they talk about "emo" changing from a specific music genre to the word entering the mainstream vernacular, patrick talked about how when they started out they didin't consider themselves "emo," they were a hardcore band. said he liked playing hardcore though when he sang people used to tell him his voice was too cute. they focused on making the music they wanted to, and before they knew it, they were being called "emo." Pete talked about the word, how it encompasses too much, feeling restricted by that in the past, etc. Talked about wanting to become like Metallica in that the word Metallica has becomes its own thing, Metallica doesn't need a description, etc. Patrick talked about perfoming in Japan, from small venues way earlier to now, etc

I love long FOB articles and I quite liked this one.

Love that Patrick talked about musical inspirations and SMFS. It’s so cool to hear because I love how beautiful and grand the sounds are in SMFS, even with spoken tracks like The Pink Seashell or Baby Annihilation. 

Also him buying the same synthesizers is so real. He’s a music nerd <3 

They’ve been consistently talking about always wanting to make new music and looking to the future instead of the past. And getting questions about their sound changing since forever haha.

It's really cool that they're very self aware and how convinced they are about making new music. Love that Pete can look back at older albums and find new appreciation for them. I’d be down for another half dozen FOB albums if they are, so (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

The whole house smelled like cake, you’d been baking all afternoon and were mixing red food coloring into the vanilla frosting when he got home from the gym. He called his hello from around the corner and appeared soon after, sweaty and stupidly sexy, water bottle in hand. 

He set it in the sink with a metallic thud, and then he’s hugging you from behind, kissing your neck and your shoulder and your hair. “Micky!” You giggled, squirmed in his arms. “You’re so gross.”

“I’m your gross,” He says, releases you from his strong grip and swipes his index finger through your half-mixed  frosting. 

“Baby!” You scold, smile on your face, and shove him in the direction of your bedroom. “Go shower.” He walks backward toward the room, wiggling his brows and laughing while he sucks the pink frosting from his finger. 

“Do you want to help me decorate?” You ask when he’s done and showered, lounging on the couch and crolling through his phone. You watch over his shoulders as he clicks the power button off, drops the device face down onto his chest. You swear you can see his smile, even though you’re looking at the back of his head. 

“I can think of nothing I want to do more,” He replies, standing up with a groan, stretching, yawning, lazily trudging over to joining you in the kitchen. You hand him a butter knife and the frosting container. 

“It’s not a race.” You warned him, pointing your own knife at him. 

“It’s always a race.” He kisses you and laughs, but listens, takes his time covering the cupcakes in pink frosting. He pays so much attention to detail that you figure he’s holding a silent competition with you. If he can’t race you, he can make a better looking cupcake than you. You finish frosting your half before he does.  Aye! He yelps when you grab one from his side. Keep your grubby hands off my cupcakes. 

You roll your eyes, set it back down on the counter and grab the sprinkles from the pantry. You’re done before he’s finished frosting, still tediously painting the cake with his dull knife. You set all of your cupcakes carefully into the plastic holder, remove one right after, and sit on the counter next to him to eat it. “I like that one,” You say, mouth half full, pointing to the one of his that looks the messiest. “What happened there?”

He’s moved onto the sprinkles, now, holding the cupcake at eye level and carefully placing each sprinkle individually. He glares at you over the frosting. “That’s the abstract one.” You laugh, almost spit the cupcake out of your mouth, laugh harder. He shakes his head, chuckles, too. You love to make him laugh, even if it’s accidentally. 

You swipe a finger through the leftover frosting when he isn’t looking, and when he sets his finished cupcake on the counter, you wipe it on his face, pink and sweet and sugary on his cheek. He jumps, tries to dodge, to swat your hand away, but the deed is already done. You look at him with wide eyes and a stupidly giant smile, lick the rest of the frosting off your finger. “You’re dead!” He says, and you launch yourself off the counter with a squeal, running from him around the island, laughing and laughing. He chases you into the living room, tackles you onto the couch. He kisses you and gets frosting on your face and you giggle into his mouth. “What do you have to say for yourself?” He asks. 

You beam, try to bite your lip and stifle a laugh. “I love you?” 

“You love me?” He mocks, tickles your side. “You love me, huh?” He repeats, kissing your cheeks and your forehead and anything close to his lips.

“I do!” You laugh hard, without restraint, loud and unabashed and achy.

if you had to do present luke to someone who has never heard of him before, which pictures, videos and songs are you choosing?

oh wow. what a question! it's one i do think about quite a bit though, and realistically it would depend on the person i'm introducing him to. content specifically catered to their interests <3 however! there are definitely some common things i'd probably rely on in most cases.

songs: so obviously all of wfttwtaf would be ideal but if we're picking and choosing i'd probably choose a few that represent some different vibes and showcase his songwriting, so maybe starting line, place in me and baby blue. possibly slip away too just because i think that's one of the best overall examples of his songwriting + his brain + his voice.

and in terms of 5sos songs, again i'd choose a range to show off his vocal range and a bit of songwriting as well. i'm thinking take my hand, caramel, moodswings, lover of mine, not in the same way, kill my time, youngblood (as if anyone has not heard this song) and no shame.
