Yandere School Q&A
I've gotten some related asks and thought I'd put them in a cleaner format, so I don't spawn another round of screenshots from my inbox.
Ohhh how would yan school react if y/n got hurt somehow?? Also quick question is her parents also platonic yans for them? Thanks!! - Anonymous
It only makes sense that the staff of the school is yandere material, too. The students may rush to help and insist they've got it under control, but the school nurse will be quick to act. It's the chance of a lifetime, having you to himself, and for longer than the usual standard checkup. The curtains are pulled, and the "do not disturb" sign is flipped. Your injuries are not to be taken lightly. You'll need to spend all day under his supervision.
The parents and all relatives are indeed platonic yanderes! I thought it'd be a nice touch since I've never approached the trope before.
YAYAYAYYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAYAA MORE YANDERE SCHOOLLLLLL You’re amazing!!!!! (I had to ask to make sure I used the right your/you’re) also is the darling yandere gonna keep sabotaging y/n? - @femboybasil
The tying up incident was actually an exception to what I originally planned, haha. For most of the competitions, darling yandere will guide (Y/N) and aid them for a flawless win. That's the comedy of it: he's indirectly doing the yandere part while trying to be discreet enough as to not alert the other yanderes. Additionally, (Y/N) helps him with the darling tasks. Though that part is very much expected by everyone from school. The Daring Academy teachers are probably observing the activities, baffled. "Who the hell is that student? What skill...what obliviousness. They should've applied to us."
If you’re comfortable with this concept, (since it’s a school-based series I don’t know if the reader and yanderes are minors are not, if they are then you don’t have to write this.) but obviously the students of the Yandere Academy are going to need to learn how to tie up their darlings once they’ve been captured. Would you mind writing a little blurb about it since Reader is the unofficially assigned darling stand-in for their classes? - Anonymous
This is the ask I used for the tying up idea in Part 3! To answer your worries, all of my stories involve 18+ characters! Just wanted to clear it up for anyone in doubt. The school/academy setup is more of a college/university kind of institution. I do love a good high school setup, but not for self insert romance.
I’d imagine that there’s a drama class at the yandere school to help the students learn how to act and seem innocent. What if they put on a musical or something like Phantom of the Opera (because of course it would be that) and reader got the role of Christine or the equivalent. Imagine all the yanderes fighting for the role of their love interests to get the excuse to kiss them, and other yanderes trying to sabotage them as tactfully as possible to keep the show going, but replace the leads to be alongside reader. Think that may be something cool to add/write about? No pressure of course! - Anonymous
You know the whole thing is going to turn into a ninja survival shitshow. They had hoped to never cast (Y/N) in any role, for everyone's safety. And for the most part, (Y/N) thankfully never showed any interest in the drama club.
The supervising teacher held (Y/N)'s application form with trembling hands. It seems their little club had finally run out of luck.
Worst part: the school can't even rely on the teachers. They're just as desperate to see their cute little (Y/N) perform on stage. "Maybe this job is too overwhelming for one person, sensei..." they'll smugly tell the original supervisor. "We could divide some tasks. Someone else could train (Y/N), for example..."
ok here me out, what if there is like a field trip or sports festival kind of thing where the Yandere and Darling academy meet up. Basically where a Yandere and a darling are made to pair up to go through the numerous activities (maybe ones that test their yandere/darling skills) so reader decides to pair up with clumsy Yandere ( who is in Darling academy) much to the displeasure of Yandere classmate. Maybe like a battle of the the Yanderes? - Anonymous
This was a little trippy to read, because it came right after part 3, haha. Which I feel is basically the same plot. Though it would be interesting to see how it'd play out if the stranger was Reader's best friend instead.
Reader excitedly approaches Clumsy!Yandere and asks him to work together, to the dismay of all other students. They're enraged. You can see it plainly: their hands tremble, their jaws are clenched, their eyes have a psychotic glint. Poor Clumsy!Yandere is in constant shivers, unaware of the death stares. You're cheerfully guiding him around, his hand in yours, happy to see your friend again.

Gale's Netherese Orb
The Condition and Symptoms
You asked for it! You're getting it! Yet another deep dive, this time about Gale's orb functioning as a chronic impairment/disability and the ways that a cure is dangled in front of him and even withheld from him.
Disclaimer: a lot of this has already been discussed by lore-wizards like galedekarios or mezzziah and some information is going to come from actual-lea's wild playthrough of the Gale Origin where they didn't give him any magic items just to see what would happen (which I recreated quickly in my own game to gather screenshots and gifs of my own). I'm not going to tag any of them because I don't want to bother them, but if you want even more lore, you can and should check them out!
We're going to look at Gale's orb "condition" in three phases: the effects of the orb on Gale's body itself, the ways that he has to treat it, and the potential cure for the orb. Because my deep dives always get a little out of hand, I’m splitting this into 3 posts. So you can take and leave whatever you like, but I'll link the masterlist to all 3 parts here once I have them posted!
But without further ado, let's deep dive!
I've said before that Baldur's Gate 3 is ultimately a game about cure—finding a cure for ceremorphosis, specifically. Every companion is facing a (potentially lethal) forced transformation into a squid creature in seven days or less unless they find a cure. At least, that's what they think before they realize that their tadpoles are special. On top of that, several characters, including Gale, especially Gale, are also dealing with additional chronic conditions that they wish to cure.
Let's set aside the search for the tadpole cure for a minute and focus on Gale—his character arc, his goals, even the text for his questline. The moment that Gale steps out of his pod on the nautiloid, he has a twofold goal: find a way to cure or treat the hungering orb in his chest and find a way to cure or stop ceremorphosis, in part because turning into a mind flayer may destabilize the orb, thus making the orb the bigger or more significant problem for Gale personally.
In other words, on two fronts, Gale's entire plot is concerned about curing a chronic, potentially lethal condition (or two), but the orb is the bigger issue between the two. Turning into a mind flayer is one thing, turning into a cataclysmic explosion that could "level a city the size of Waterdeep" is another.
The Wizard of Waterdeep Objectives - Escape the nautiloid I was an archmage - powerful, proud, full of potential - until my failed attempt to impress my lover, the goddess Mystra, left me with a volatile 'orb' of Netherese-corrupted Weave in my chest. Keeping it stable is difficult at the best of times...and these are far from the best of times. I've been abducted by mind flayers, infected with one of their tadpoles. So far the orb appears unaffected, but I can't count on that for long. I need to get back to Faerûnian soil before it begins to hunger.
Despite being infected by illithid tadpoles, Gale's larger concern is that staying in the hells will make feeding the orb difficult. When he gets off the nautiloid, he's worried that turning into a mind flayer will completely destabilize the orb. It's his primary concern and will continue to be so throughout the game.
Narrator: Despite your recent fall from the nautiloid, you are miraculously unharmed. Apart from the volatile orb of Netherese magic buried within your chest, of course. It stirs softly. Soon it will hunger, and when that time comes it must be fed. Starve it, and you risk triggering a cataclysmic explosion of raw, unfettered Weave. Such an explosion will be unavoidable, if the tadpole in your skull triggers ceremorphosis. An outcome definitely best avoided.
So, yeah, the squid thing is a problem, but Gale is definitely more concerned about exploding. But exploding and "hungering" aren’t the only things the orb does to his body.
I’m going to break down the actual condition into three smaller segments: the words Gale uses to talk about his condition, the physical effects that Gale describes happening to him, and the mechanical gameplay effects. I’ll talk more about the actual “hunger” of the orb in part 2 when I talk about its treatment, in part because the hunger and the treatment are both magical effects and are intrinsically linked. But for now, let's start with a look at how Gale talks about the orb.
Call it a Condition
To start off, Gale describes having the orb in his chest along the same lines that people might discuss chronic impairments or chronic illness. It's not a minor "issue" or a "problem" that is disconnected from Gale's body and physical/mental health; instead, he calls it a "condition," a "malady," and even a "chronic impairment." He couches the condition in terms that evoke illness and unwellness.
Gale: You see, I have this...condition. Very different from the parasites we share, but just as deadly. Player: What kind of condition? Gale: The specifics are rather personal, but suffice it to say that it is a malady I have learned to live with - though not without some effort. Player: (Durge) You also feel disgust by how life, miserable as it is, insists of persisting in this most wretched world? / (Tav) Is it contagious? Gale: No, no - nothing like that. Though if I fail to treat it then the consequences would not be contained to me alone. Player: Can it be cured? Gale: No, it cannot be cured. And I assure you I've left no page unturned in reaching that conclusion. I can keep this condition under control, as indeed I've done for a significant amount of time, but that was under different circumstances altogether. Home, in Waterdeep. What it comes down to is this: every so often I need to get my hands on a powerful magical item and absorb the Weave inside.
Player (Ranger): I think I might have a dock leaf in my bag, or some medicinal berries... Gale: Thank you for the offer, but the treatment for my condition is very specific.
Gale: The reality of the matter is that a lone wizard with a chronic impairment such as my own is not in the most ideal of situations with regards to self-defence.
In Gale's first conversation with the player about the orb, which is where all of the above comes from, he uses language related to illness and chronic pain/impairment to discuss the orb. It's a "condition," it is a "malady" that requires "treatment," it is a "chronic impairment," and so on.
Generally, at first, he speaks lightly about it and even continues to joke about his condition ("my tower in Waterdeep has never been so free of clutter" and so on), but the reality is he's underplaying the actual physical toll it takes on his body. When you ask him what happens if he doesn't consume any artifacts, he'll briefly describe some symptoms to you that aren't obvious to the player character. Which brings us to...
The Physical Symptoms
This is how he describes the initial physical symptoms of the orb's hunger:
Gale: I'll spare you the finer details, but it begins with a simple biological deterioration. Muscle spasms, disorientation, a slight ringing in the ears. And if left for too long...catastrophe.
In other places, we see the orb's hunger/pain also affecting his ability to think clearly, suggesting he's experiencing a kind of brain fog or concentration issue, plus general discomfort, and a feeling like something is gnawing at his insides, as seen in various lines below.
Gale: You'll have to speak slowly. I'm finding it quite difficult to concentrate with my condition gnawing at my insides like a teething displacer kitten. Gale: Somehow the second artefact hasn't had the effect of the first. It's somewhat relieved the discomfort, but I fear my hunger hasn't quite... Ahh...* Gale: But... this doesn't feel quite right... It never feels right, but it relieves. This doesn't relieve... Ahh...* *devnote: Near the end of the line he's in discomfort, in pain
This is all from the second artifact conversation, when you give him the second item to try and feed the orb's hunger (the last line is a lower approval/you've-been-begrudging-about-items kind of line, so he's still being closed off with you). When you hear these lines in the game, he's obviously speaking with discomfort and with difficulty, as if trying to string words together despite the pain. His little comments as you travel with him/as him while he is dealing with arcane hunger also reference weakness, pain, and concentration issues.
- I'm feeling rather unsteady... - Deep breaths, Gale. Hold it together. - I'd be rather enjoying this journey, were I not wracked with pain. - One step in front of the other, Gale. - Ugh, I feel rotten. devnote: Slightly pained/struggling with a constant ache (the orb is negatively affecting him, causing him pain. Prompt is to remind the player that Gale is unwell.) [mumm's note: there are other lines as well, beyond these, and Gale will say them at random, so there's no progression into better or worse. This is just a sample of the lines.]
Given everything so far, I suspect the pain he feels is a combination of heart/chest pain, like one might feel during an anxiety attack, a POTS flare-up, or even a heart attack, while the gnawing sensation could be like hunger cramps (or any other internal cramping, though I think for Gale it feels higher up in his body than in his stomach, given the orb's location).
I highly suspect the orb is feeding off of not only his magic, but his body as well. We know it feeds off his magic specifically (more on this in the other two parts, especially because this detail doesn't come to light until Gale meets with Mystra). But given the pains and the way he frames his condition as a state of deterioration, it's likely that it's also feeding off energy stores and other biological/physical elements of his body, not unlike how extreme hunger can cause your body to essentially eat itself—your fat stores first, but eventually even your muscle tissues and other vital tissues.
(I've seen someone suggest this is why Gale has "dehydration state" chiseled abs like movie stars have because the orb is literally eating away at his fat/energy stores and so on. It's a compelling theory!)
The orb also weakens him, likely causes massive fatigue, and even seems to be draining his "spirit" or his mental capabilities. We see this in descriptions of Arcane Hunger (which are below). It's a wonder this man can put one foot in front of the other if the pain is particularly bad.
In addition to all the other physical symptoms, the orb itself has physically scarred his body with the marking on his chest, which is also bruising pretty significantly (though this "bruising" could just as likely be dark-colored magic just beneath his skin, your headcanon/mileage may vary).
Photo credits: @elspethdekarios, though I cropped them down for this deep dive
If you click on the images and zoom in, you can see how the markings have a bit of depth and texture to them, as opposed to the flat lines of a tattoo. The lines are carved into his skin. Certain lighting will also make the mark look darker or lighter, and make the bruising at the center faint or noticeably dark. There are some theories that the bruising gets worse as the game goes on, but I think it's just a lightning issue (though it would be interesting if the bruising gets darker with each new level of arcane hunger, or something to that effect).
Lastly, and I'll discuss this more in part 2, even when the orb does not actively pain Gale, it "stirs." Other references from the narrator reveal that the orb "shudders" or "prickles" within him. Gale can feel the movement of the orb inside his body, possibly like a weird fluttering or vibration in his chest. It's likely why, even when he isn't actively hungering, he'll put his hand over his chest and adjust his shoulders, as if reacting to a strange and slightly uncomfortable sensation within his chest.
Anyway, long story short, the physical symptoms of dealing with the hungering orb are:
Biological deterioration (like hunger, the body consuming itself, muscles weakening, etc)
Muscle spasms
Disorientation
Ringing in the ears
Difficulty concentrating/brain fog/mental fatigue
Cramping and/or chest pain
General discomfort and pain
Physical fatigue/feelings of weakness
Scarring and bruising from the orb itself
A sensation of the orb "stirring" even when not painful
And this man will joke about it.
Honestly, his ability to joke and discuss his condition with humor is a sign to me that he really is experiencing and thinking of the orb the same way people with chronic conditions think about their pain or illnesses. At the start of the game, Gale's condition is incurable—Gale says as much himself that it "cannot be cured." It can only be managed, treating the symptoms and diminishing the pain, rather than completely eradicating the impairment. Gale likely has a new scale for pain, the same way people with chronic pain do. A "bad day" for him would likely end most healthy, normative people in a clinic hoping for some prescription pain medication, whereas he will just grit his teeth and keep going. In short, saying that the orb is a "chronic impairment" is a bit of an understatement, and I don't think people realize just how much Gale is/acts like a person dealing with real-world chronic pain or chronic illnesses.
Gale is used to this pain, though he certainly isn't enjoying it. Have you ever persuaded him to wait before giving him a magic item? If your persuasion is high enough (and he likes you), he'll give a cheery "of course!" even though treating the pain is obviously the preferable path here. When he reminds you of his need for an item, as with the "teething displacer kitten" line or the "My condition likes being ignored as much as I do," he still conveys these lines with a mix of urgency and dark humor. He's dealt with this condition for a year or more. You might be testing his tolerance by withholding items, but he's not going to let on just how badly he's actually feeling.
This is the man who will uncomfortably laugh and say "Gods, this is bloody uncomfortable," while the orb in his chest is running a high-grade POTS flare-up and consuming his innards. That's what we call an understatement, Gale. He could complain a lot more, and far more loudly, but he's actually keeping it quite restrained, as people with chronic pain often tend to do.
So anyway, if you ever hear anyone complaining that Gale complains about his magic orb condition too much, ask them how much they'd like walking around with heart-attack symptoms for a few hours at a time. But let's move on!
The Gameplay Effects
Now that we know what the orb does to Gale narratively, what does his condition do to him mechanically in the game? Because, unlike with Karlach's unstable engine or Shadowheart's incurable wound (other examples of chronic pain/disability in the game), the game adds actual debuffs to Gale's character that can affect gameplay and battles. Therefore, leaving Gale disabled with pain also, in effect, disables the player's ability to play the game (or at least hampers it).
In the game, there are three stages of Arcane Hunger. Most people generally don't go beyond the first stage, because why would you let Gale walk around with a debuff of any kind if you have a locket of dancing lights you'll never use? But if you continue to ignore him (or, if you're playing as Gale, and willfully choose not to consume any items) then the Arcane Hunger will progress to Greater and Severe Arcane Hunger, bringing even more serious debuffs to his character.
Arcane Hunger - Condition Gale's spirit is being drained. He has disadvantage on Constitution Saving Throws. Greater Arcane Hunger - Condition The Netherese Orb in Gale's body is weakening him. He has Disadvantage on Attack Rolls and all Saving Throws. Severe Arcane Hunger - Condition The Netherese Orb in Gale's body is severely weakening him. He has Disadvantage on Attack Rolls and all Saving Throws. His movement speed is halved.
Casual reminder that Constitution Saving Throws generally affect concentration, which is needed to maintain spells that last for more than one turn. This goes back to Gale's concentration/mental fatigue when he's initially hungering. When the hunger progresses, however, Gale is physically weakened and the game makes it so that he's more likely to fail savings throws or attacks.
Trying to normally play as Gale with these debuffs is basically an exercise in resigning yourself to missing attacks frequently and failing literally every saving throw (this includes disadvantage on saving throws in dialogues as well). He's still playable, since Magic Missile never misses and you can work with spells that deal damage even when an enemy passes their saving throw, but he becomes even more of a glass cannon than ever. If he's not at the back of a fight, he goes down pretty quick.
Once you hit Severe Arcane Hunger (which I hit after only 6.5 hours of rushed gameplay, though you could probably hit it sooner if you were zooming through a bit faster than me) you're also forced to walk everywhere. Gale's movement speed is halved. The distance he can move in a single turn is drastically shorter than usual, and his speed is no faster than a casual walk. Anyone who has tried to move while encumbered knows this same walking speed debuff.
So the game literally takes Gale's chronic impairment and makes it disabling to both him AND you controlling him. No one really wants to play the entirety of BG3 at a walking pace, after all, so it forces you to make a decision—will you finally treat Gale's condition, or will you grit your teeth and bare it, like Gale does with his pain (though it's nowhere near close to the same levels of discomfort).
Typically a companion Gale will just leave if you refuse to give him any items and he progresses to the stage where he's at Severe Arcane Hunger. But if you play as Origin Gale, you can keep playing with Severe Arcane Hunger until, well, his condition literally paralyzes him and then he withers away, apparently dying of necrotic damage from the orb (I’m assuming here, because the log doesn’t specify what damage causes Gale to wither away, and he exudes a necrotic damage aura once he’s dead, which happens whenever he dies anyway).
Gale withered away. Gale lost Condition: Gale is Paralysed. Gale received Condition: Gale is Paralysed. [mumm's note: obviously this is listed in reverse order, because Gale becomes paralyzed and then withers away]
It appears that if left untreated, Gale’s biological deterioration reaches a point that it literally shuts his body down completely, and then he just...dies. I imagine that physically the orb has eaten away at so many of his vital tissues, including his internal organs, that everything just sort of ceases to function. He's corrupted from the inside out, and nothing but death and a quick resurrection can reverse those effects.
It's worth noting that if you choose to do this experiment with Origin Gale and don't feed him a single magic item, then Elminster won't be waiting for you to arrive in the Mountain Pass or just outside the Shadow Cursed Lands if you travel through the Underdark. Since Gale hasn't been managing his symptoms, he hasn't realized that the various items he's consuming aren't having any effect. Therefore, he isn't actively looking for a new solution to treat the symptoms. Since he isn't looking, I guess Elminster never thought to make himself available with the new solution?
Honestly, why Elminster doesn't show up is kind of a mystery. Gameplay-wise, I assume it's that Gale's quest didn't progress enough to trigger the game flag that would spawn Elminster. But lore-wise or narratively, it doesn't make sense. Mystra sends Elminster with both a command and a temporary "cure," so is she just waiting until Gale realizes his symptoms can no longer be managed? No idea. Maybe I'll explore it more in Part 3.
Anyway the point is that when an untreated Gale reaches Moonrise without talking to Elminster, the game (and his condition) shuts him down. When you revive him at camp, Elminster conveniently appears to give him Mystra's command to sacrifice himself at the Heart of the Absolute and stabilizes the orb at last.
But there's a catch.
Elminster Aumar: A shame that we did not cross paths sooner. The orb's thirst for magic is now quenched, yet it already inflicted some damage while you tried to forge ahead. The ill effects may linger, I'm afraid. Not enough to hamper your mission, I hope.
I believe this can also happen with a companion Gale, but I'm not sure about the specific parameters of triggering this. Regardless, as actual-lea has observed in their No Gale Dinner experiment, if Gale has regular Arcane Hunger then Elminster stabilizes the orb and all is well, but if he has Greater or Severe Arcane Hunger, then the damage the orb does to his body becomes irreversible. After Elminster stabilizes the orb, in this scenario, Gale is left with a permanent "Arcane Hunger" debuff, the same as the above, where he suffers disadvantage on constitution saving throws. This time, you can't consume items to make it go away, and nothing will cure the debuff. Gale just permanently has it for the rest of the game.
(It's worth noting that you can also kill Elminster while he's talking with Gale, thus preventing him from stabilizing the orb with his magic and from telling Gale he needs to sacrifice himself. This sort of breaks the narrative for Gale and results in some wonky dialogue chains that do and don't flag correctly, but the interesting outcome is that it means you can continue playing the game with Severe Arcane Hunger, which is now also a permanent debuff. You can consume magical items before the Elminster visit, but never after. Even if you kill him, you lose the ability to consume items, which means it is officially impossible to manage Gale's symptoms. You just have to deal with the halved walking speed and disadvantage on everything. And you can complete the game that way, if you have the patience! But it would be a very long game. I would know. I've done it and I was rushing like a maniac lol)
Anyway this is getting super long, so I'll end with a few wrap-up thoughts.
Final Thoughts
Having played as Gale with Severe Arcane Hunger for several hours in the game, I think Gale honestly downplays just how bad the pain and debilitating effects of his condition really are. As I was going through the evidence, I kept thinking about how there are so many different elements of pain, discomfort, fatigue, and general unpleasantness that are all part of Gale's everyday life. Even when the orb is stabilized or not actively hurting him, he likely still feels it moving in his chest and I imagine there are chronic effects that stabilizing the orb couldn't exactly cure, like lingering fatigue (and we wonder why Gale complains about his knees and wanting to take a rest and so forth).
Ookay the knees thing might be unrelated to the orb but I digress
Dealing with that much pain and internal corruption is a state of living that most people wouldn't want to stay in, and Gale is no exception here. He wants to stop the pain in his chest, just as much as he wants his former abilities and magical prowess to return. These things are connected, which I'll talk about in part 2. But without hope of a cure, Gale is forced to deal with his condition as a process of managing symptoms, creating a treatment plan that involves him consuming magic from magical items just to get a bit of relief.
But that, my friends, is where we'll pick up with Part 2 - The Hunger and the Treatment.

Hi! So I want to make a Spooky Month OC but I suck at drawing, do you have any tips or advices about drawing characters in the Spooky Month artstyle?
Okay so, I might not be the right person for this, cause I also am not all that great at drawing in the Spooky Month artstyle, but I did some character design at school so I might be able to give a few tips! Please do take everything I say with a grain of salt tho!
Spooky Month's strong suit is definitely character design. It's SO expressive and well done it's genuinely unreal. You might want to know exactly what your character is gonna be doing, or how their personality is gonna be like, because character design in Spooky Month cares a lot about things like these. For example: Radford works at a cinema, so of course he's wearing 3D glasses, but also his HAIR IS LITERALLY SHAPED LIKE A POPCORN.
So maybe decide on a job for your character, and try to start from there, get crazy with shapes and have fun! Spooky Month characters have designs that are both extremely simple to draw, since they use mostly basic shapes, but also are extremely thought out and meaningful. Another example of great character design is Pump
Now, I have no idea if you already had an OC in mind, but make sure to choose the right shapes to represent it. Something I see around in the fandom is people making these OCs that are like, serial killers and dangerous people and stuff, but then give them the "Lila"-like oval head. And honestly, nothing wrong with that, that's a choice you can use! But still, shapes allow us to understand a lot about how a character is just by looking at them. So you might want to experiment around a bit!
Ovals in Spooky Month are the "good" shape, let's just say. Most character with an oval head are sweet, helpful, kind-natured! It's often paired with oval eyes, so it's mostly a shape that's used for not villainous characters.
Circles are a bit more complicated, because Spooky Month subvertes the Circle Characters. While yes, they're also used to draw children, such as Skid and Pump, so they may come off as unthreatening at first, most main villains, such as Eyes, Bob and Dexter Doll (which is meant to represent the likes of a child, so that's a nice contrast), are mostly circle-shaped.
There's a very wide range of Square characters in Spooky Month. Square characters are usually bulky, big and strong. They often come off as threatening (such as Moloch), but there are so many other fun things you can do with them. Like, take Frank. EVERYTHING in his design should alarm us, him being square-shaped, the black eyes, the wide smile. Yet, he has a shape of the eyes that's very relaxed and chill, so we end up trusting him. As for Dexter, he's a mix of circles and squares, so we can't really understand his intentions right away, because he's shaped in the most confusing way possible. He's just made to be unsettling and leaving us to wonder if he's a bad guy or just an oddball.
You can do SO MANY fun things by mixing up shapes of faces and eyes it's INSANE. Also, you can mix up other characters' features to create a new one, if you're planning to do a fankid or stuff like that. Look at Ross, he's literally a mixture of all his parents' features!
My main tips for drawing in the Spooky Month artstyle are mostly
1) Play around with shapes. Be as cartoony as possible.
2) Try to be consistent with proportions, because, based on personal experience, if you draw the pupils of the eyes slightly off it changes the whole character's expression drastically
3) don't worry too much about details, Spooky Month has a very simple artstyle. You don't have to draw a perfectly anatomically correct hand, just whip up some cartoony three-to-four fingers and you're good to go
4) try to redraw some pre-existing screenshots from the serie to get familiarity with the way Pelo draws expressions. It helps a bunch.
So yeah, that's all! Good luck with your oc :)

Belphegor brainrot...?
I wanted to put together all crumbs about Belphie just like I did with Asmo.
We know Nilfheim is a something like a military hive mind. Nobles use swords or other melee weapons (the scythe is somewhat included in this), and since consistency is usually maintained, plus Bathin has a uniform resembling a soldier (we will talk about uniforms later), let's very roughly assume that it is, to some extent, a knightly country.
Okay I'll be honest, I'm just amused by the idea of Belphie as a mixture of Sleeping Beauty and a knight on a white horse lol.
I don't have a screenshot unfortunately, but Satan during Halloween event said Beplhie don't like tedious work (even if it's just a signing.) Expected. He's embodiment of sloth after all.
Actually, I can relate.
It looks like Gusion and Bael could shake hands. But Belphie is there, he really does a lot when he's out of his cave. It is not without reason that it is said that lazy people are the best employees because they will get the job done in the fastest way.
Looks like his Majesty is flirty! A big point in my opinion, because for me he seemed cold and distant. I was afraid that we would be too similar to Leviathan, but I guess that's not the case.
He doesn't sound like this decision bothered him at all. I don't know how to interpret it, so I leave it here out of chronicler's duty. And to please the eyes, look at my pretty boy!!!
But... that's it. That's all. So, I have found a related topic to rabmle about.
Nilfheim boys what's wrong with you?
We only know two, only recently three of them. Gusion, Bathin, Andrealphus.
And I guess they have a different definition of military than us.
Two of the three are like, "hey, have you seen that unicorn in the green cloak? This one who is never in his country? Great idea!" and yeeted themselves from Nilhfeim.
He just. Randomly visited Earth. Because why not.
Honey, you don't. Although… you're the devil. *Hands AO3* Have fun!
We are fresh from Andrea's escapades to Avisos. We know that he spends a lot of time there and from the screenshot above we also know that he doesn't really need things like his king permission to be happy.
Considering that Bathin is friends with Stolas...
...aka his personal radio, I'm sorry I can't get over this lol, it is very possible that he also often visits Avisos. Beel, you are tempting nobles from the next country and you are not even in your own country.
Bathin? Andrea? I understand that in a sentence "The devils of Niflheim almost never move individually" you are the "almost". Two of the three known. A known majority. They are hopeless.
And you know what? The third one isn't any better.
Yeah. Who in a MILITARY COUNTRY would wear a uniform. Well, no one normal. Let's get back to those uniforms, this time for real.
We already know that Gusion doesn't bother with such bullshit, so we don't know if what we actually see is the one times he wears something he should wear all the time. (I guess we do and he just doesn't have a jacket.)
Bathin has a uniform, but it's from Paradise Lost. It is possible that his appearance refers to this and not Nilfheim, as we know that other devils associated with foreign countries, especially Buer, but also Sitri, have appearances related to the latter country.
Andrea seems to be the most reliable. But who knows? He wanders where he shouldn't, do you think he would care about his uniform? Plus… A wing? And a halo? Exactly.
Ultimately, I would lean towards uniforms of nobles that look like hitmans. Just like someone described Andrea in the event.
At least one thing is right. The devils of Nilfheim are unnaturally strong, even by their standards. We all remember how Andrea abused every angel in his path. Even the big guy who seemed to break him like a match. No, the big guy was shaking like an aspen under his feet as Andrea happily dismembered him. As we can see, Gusion's sword also proves his strength.
Even some of Nilfheim's lower devils seem to have great fighting skills. Not all of them, of course. One is a fish.
We have the least information about the countries of Asmo and Belphi, but we have some coherent idea about Abaddon thanks to the nobles. Nilhfeim? Nope! Funny country. I can't wait to visit it.

Got my hands on the script of Anatomy of a Fall, and I couldn't help but compare it with some scenes from the movie because that's how deep I am rn :'D Anyway, here are some of my finds and things I personally enjoyed. I'm sure there are more things to dig out but these are what I wanted to share with the world. The order of my finds will be chronological, for the most part, but keep in mind that sometimes, some scenes were edited to show up later, or earlier than originally intended. Spoilers for the whole movie obviously so you've been warned!
Takes place when Vincent first visits Sandra to discuss Samuel's death. In the movie, Sandra stops Vincent and cuts him harshly, saying "STOP, I did not kill him". Vincent then says a line that I think is pretty iconic in the movie, a sarcastic : "That's not the point. Really". His line is much harsher than on the script, where he's a bit softer. "You don't need to tell me that" implies that he has some deep, loyal faith in Sandra, while "That's not the point" cuts any further discussion. He really doesn't wanna know if she actually did it. Comes from a wish to remain blind still, but with less innocence and a lot of denial. Oh, Vincent.
In the movie, his last line is way better imo, he says "No one's gonna believe that. I don't believe that." I like the emphasis on his opinion rather than the fleeting and impersonal "it's really hard to believe". Truly hits way harder and puts Vincent back in the position of a lawyer.
The rest will be under the cut because I think it's gonna be a wall of text I apologize guys...... This movie does things to my brain.
There's a scene that was cut where Vincent phones Nour while still at Sandra's, which I would have enjoyed a lot but I'll admit it's a bit filler-y. Doesn't add a lot and kinda cuts the serious tone of Sandra's confession, imo, as they discuss the judge's antics in a pretty comical manner. I just love Nour so I'm based......
Another, REALLY long scene that was cut where a medium comes into Sandra's house to feel Samuel's ghost and foreshadows Daniel poisoning Snoop with aspirin. I had a good laugh at that one, honestly. It feels pretty out of place with the tone of the movie, and the personality of the characters even... I can't picture Sandra calling a medium. I'm glad they removed it because the foreshadowing was unnecessary too. It's still interesting that they had planned it however.
This takes place after Vincent finds out about the tape. Interestingly, his whole line was cut after "before he died". In the movie, he never comments on Sandra's affairs/sexuality. He never really asks much about her life at all. He truly is blinded by his wish to shield himself from her inner demons, in order to maintain his undying loyalty towards her. To see what he wants of her...
Another scene that was completely cut (a flashback, I believe?) where Sandra makes Daniel pose for a german photographer to make some money, which Monica dislikes, and then they argue. I think it really frames her as too unsympathetic, so I'm also glad it was cut.
Okay, so now, here comes The Big Change. The scene where Vincent and Sandra drink together after the first trial was heavily altered, because its tone in the movie is pretty tense when compared with the lightheartedness of the script. In the script, they laugh and reminisce together about the past and even kiss at the end of the scene. In the movie, none of was I screenshot happens : instead of playing along with the 'firing Vincent' suggestion, the scene ends with Sandra scolding Vincent for judging her in his head. Vincent backs off and the scene ends. Another instance of him not pressing emotional depth to shield himself.
There are other scenes I liked (many that touch upon Sandra's books) but I'll stop there. Hope you'll enjoy that... I might draw some of these so stay tuned... This movie has absorbed my soul but it feels good to be alive, thank you Justine Triet.
#anatomy of a fall#anatomie d'une chute#justine triet#vincent renzi#sandra voyter#not art#im posting it on my artblog because i wanna find this again and store everything about my lawyer era in one place#i didn't translate anything because that would take some time but hmu if you need a translation or if something's unclear#i didn't proofread this and my native language isn't english so picture a crazy frenchie going about their theories to you okay?#fits the movie imo

I'm trying something for fandom artists/writers
Well, as I don't have anyone to tag (I'm really the least sociable person in the world and I'm too scared to talk to people in the fandom 😂), it's up to those who see this post to participate or not (if it turns out that it's not going to take at all, but never mind!)
Well, as my thing is drawing, I'll go with that (but you can adapt it to writing for those who write, or anything else for that matter!)
Last drawing:
Favourite drawing:
Well, I'm cheating, I'm putting two in because I can't choose 😖 On the one hand it's my best pastel drawing (to say it's also my second realistic portrait in colour) and on the other the painting I did with my grandmother and it's also the first time I've done anything other than a portrait in realistic drawing with a background and so on.
Hated drawing:
Right, then. Here again it's hard to put just one. I'm VERY hard on myself and I hate almost all my drawings 🥲 But really, if I have to choose, there are three that I really can't see any more because I find them so horrible.
Future project(s):
Following the poll, I'm going to start working on a new portrait of Garreth.
Next up, why not draw Ominis again (I've taken several in-game screenshots of him that I'd like to do to work on the backgrounds) and I'd also like to draw characters I haven't drawn yet, like Natsai or Amit.
And maybe one day, when I'm bored because I can't find any more images to use as models, I might draw some MCs from in-game screenshots.
And apart from drawing, I'd like to finish writing my OS by the end of the year 😂
Favourite artist:
There are far too many talented people in fandom ❤️
But without hesitation I'd say @tamayula-hl! Long before I dared to post my drawings online, I admired her work so much and even today I jump on every notification as soon as she posts! I know I'll never reach her level but her work is a source of inspiration and motivation (even more so now that I've switched to watercolour and I'm still trying to figure out how to work with colours, the way she works with colour is so incredible 🥰)
And I can't thank her enough for her post showing all the possible angles for Ominis' and Sebastian's hairs, it was so helpful 🙏🏻
And I admire @choccy-milky too! These are the two fandom artists I've been following since I started on Tumblr a little over a year ago 😄
One or few points on which I would like to improve:
First of all, I've managed to stop transferring the outlines of my drawings. Yes, it's a bit cheating to transfer, I know. But if I don't do it, the proportions are going to be catastrophic and that's going to piss me off (long live my perfectionism) and I'm going to stop and stubborn as I am coupled with my lack of self-confidence, I'm never going to want to draw again. So for the time being, we're going to keep tracing 😅 We'll see what happens in time.
But most of all, I'd like to stop depending on images I find on Pinterest or Tumblr and just reproduce them as drawings. I'm incapable of doing anything other than faithfully reproducing an image 😢 It annoys me, because I'd also like to post lots of drawings of my MC Evangeline interacting with other characters 😞 And the worst thing is the difference in my drawing level when I do something that doesn't depend on a reference image! (the proof: my drawings of Evangeline and this drawing of Ominis)
I took it upon myself while writing this post and forced myself to do a drawing of Evangeline in 20 minutes without a model (I just traced a neutral pose from a drawing dummy to have my base and improvised from my watercolour of Evangeline for her outfit).
You be the judge:
The end of her leg and her shoe is a disaster 😭
Well, that's that. I don't know how it's going to turn out and whether any artists/writers are going to take part, but it was a fun post to make!
#I hope those who do this tag name post will enjoy it !#tag game#hogwarts legacy fandom#hogwarts legacy art#my art

Chapter 8 of Sofie Plays "Slay the Princess": The Hero and the Princess (Round 3) + The Damsel
This is a love story, but it's a love story that I wrote at thirteen during my Warrior Cats phase.
[ Beginning ] - [ Previous Part ] - [ Next Part ]
... Hopefully she doesn't mind the flesh rotting off of my avian visage?
This run is going exactly like the one where I was forced to kill her by the Narrator--- I'm hoping I can change it by not alluding to her gnawing off her own limbs and just checking upstairs for a key.
FRICK.
Interestingly, the option to slay the Princess is no longer available here. The run is a bit different, despite being very similar.
I can't select any of the options. Am I stuck like this?
IF YOU SCROLL DOWN YOU CAN WARN HER. OH MY WORD. THE ANGST IN THIS SCREENSHOT.
Can I please chuck the blade away so that she can defend herself with it. Please. Pretty please. Narrator pleeeeeeeease---
Huzzah! Okay new game title: Slay the Borb.
... I didn't think that was actually going to be the route we took, but alright. Fair. Knowing the way the writing in this game has gone, she's going to miss anything vital and just make it hurt.
This is probably the single game I hate having so many predictions about prove to be correct.
Oh, shoot, it's a new chapter? I couldn't see through my tears.
New party member: Now introducing the Voice of the Simp! ... Smitten. Voice of the Smitten. Yes. That's what I said.
Mirror check! The Smitten is a dork. Moving on.
Once again, I didn't take the knife. I really gotta see what happens when I enter the basement with it in hand.
The Smitten ranting about how much he loves the Princess to the Narrator and Hero's utter dismay like:
I don't have any comments to make on this exchange other than how hilarious it is and how relatable it feels for someone who's had hallucinations try to talk to real people in the past.
The Hero was pulling out a squirt bottle for the Smitten two minutes ago, but the second the Princess calls him a hero he's competing for the Smitten's title. Peak character right there.
The idea of the Princess having a sort of Narrator instructing her on how to behave and what actions to take / things to say is INSANE and a question I had the second the Narrator told me to go down into that first basement. The immediate deconfirmation is a little saddening, but the Smitten's comment makes me wonder if the one who has reality warping powers here isn't the Princess, but us.
Hear me out. The way we interact with the Princess in the first chapter of every loop seems to dictate what the next Princess will be. It's like our opinion of her shapes what she becomes. She savaged our player character in that very first interaction, and then in the next, she was a wild animal that swallowed us whole. In the chapter preceding the Stranger, we never entered the cabin in the first place. We never met. And when we finally did, she was a fractal of possibilities--- almost as if because we hadn't formed an opinion of her yet.
GIRL HUH. Yeah no she's not real. This is a cardboard cut out with a speaker behind it.
NOPE DON'T LIKE THE FACT THAT THE MUSIC IS VERY MUCH CHANGING.
Hey wait her eyes look different. Am I crazy?
Yeah no a lot more than her eyes are different! The gal is having a crisis of identity that is represented by the art style and that is VERY COOL and also VERY DISTRESSING
Chickened out and didn't press the issue of her having her own wants beyond leaving the cabin beyond a second question. I said that if she wants to leave, then we'll leave, and she was abruptly back to normal. Sweetie you need therapy.
The Smitten just said "We have each other. We don't need the world for our happy ending." and that COULD just be his mushy romanticism showing... but what if it's not?
Turns out the Narrator is the one who's been locking us in the basement 90% of the time, not the cabin itself, or the Princess. When we were locked in, I asked the Princess if she thought she could open the door, and said I believed in her when she asked if I thought she could.
THE POWER OF DATING A MARY SUE Y'ALL
Ultra Princess I'm genuinely so thrilled to hear your terrifying ambience again this princess scares me infinitely more than the ones who gnaw off their arms or eat me please take her away ;w;
FINALLY GOT A SCREENSHOT OF THE ARMS. THIS TIME I WAS READY, HECKERS!!!
Continuing this in the next post. Can't wait to take my next mirror selfie! I'm not scared whatsoever :,D

How do you happen to do your shading id you don't mind sharing? Its so subtle and soft that you can't tell its there but it really helps highlight the characters
Phew, finally got some time on my hand to answer this one! It's a fairly simple/fast process so I figured I'd make a tuto once I'd get started on the shading for the next part, and here we are!
Alright so, we've got the panel (lazy screenshots cuz I'll never finish this if I have to export everytime ahah)
The advantage of digital art is that I don't have to think about color harmonies right from the start, I can always add filters and fiddle with the hues at any stage, so I just apply base colors at first and draw the background (it will help me build up a palette for the shadows later).
Okay, now the fun really begins. First I need to know which direction my shadows are likely to go and what atmosphere I want for the panel (which element I want to highlight? palette idea? etc). A sketch is enough to establish your intentions. Sometimes I'll mess up the lighting but it's okay to cheat if it looks coherent enough xD
(Patreons exclusive, shhh)
Now to create palette and apply the said shadows. I have a hand made one for TMS, but I had to make a special one for Ebott since there's a lot bg and kinda heavier atmosphere (I'll prbly have to make one for each part frow now on too hm). It's mostly made up of blues and greens (no black or greys here, but it can be fun to use in other styles! Purple too, so have fun!)
(My configuration - Produit=multiply?)
There, cast shadows (clothes, faces, folds, etc.) are roughly in place and looking sharp! Maybe a little bit too sharp actually... Let's smooth all that up
I use an airbrush eraser to soften a few shadows. Not necessarily all of them or the whole shape, you have to find the right balance of soft/sharp.
Now to spice things up a bit-
On a layer linked to the shadow layer, I add a lighter color that matches my light source or the environnement. Here it's a light blue, but in part VII I used a lot of orange (sun)! It makes the shadow much richer and the whole palette more vibrant!
(Again, you don't have to do it on all of them)
(not sure if you can see it lol but there's orange!)
And last but not least: Global shadow and filters (? never had to name or translate it bwahaha)
It's a lot of fiddling to achieve a result where the character looks more or less rooted in the background (=blue layers and filters to harmonize colors) and where I draw the last shadows. They're often the biggest ones (=on Axe's body+ leaf/tree shadows etc.).
You can use the techniques I've described above, or just go for it, it's completely freewheeling from here, ahem. Just make sure to step back regularly to see where you're at and stop.
(You can also add lights layers and spots if it's too dark but in this example, I use the base color as a light layer + their skulls are such a bright white already xD )
A bit of blur and ta-da~
Pretty easy, right?
#ask#undertale#The missing scarf#txt#seirin talks#tuto#spoil#I hid the dialogues but let's be careful xD#it's an efficient technique for comics !

tagged by @emily-prentits THANK YOUU THIS LOOKS SO FUN
1. how many works do you have on ao3?
18!
2. what's your total ao3 word count?
141,974 words...which is a little embarassing considering jo, who tagged me, has 59 works and only about 30,000 more words. evidently i like my longfics.
3. what fandoms do you write for?
carmen sandiego 2019! 17 of those and one (1) original work that i dont mention in this post at all
4. what are your top 5 fics by kudos?
the cardinal and the kitten - 325 kudos
say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime (let me lead you from your solitude) - 164 kudos (we call her the phantom au for short)
simple are the ways of love (simple as the touch of another's hands) - 156 kudos
Upon the Sword - 154 kudos
Everything is a Lie - 127 kudos
5. do you respond to comments?
Most of them yes!! I LOVE getting comments I screenshot and save every one I get.
6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Hm- I guess it depends. Hellscape ends with Carmen's internal monologue just before she gets mind-wiped by VILE, but its technically no angstier than canon. they gave you life (and in return you gave them hell) is pretty angsty the whole way through and examines Carmen's trauma.
Those are both little one-shots, though- I usually end my reigns of terror within chapter fics pretty happily if I can manage it. The Phantom AU (linked above) ends in a dark place but leagues brighter than it seemed to be heading towards. It isn't a terribly neat and happy ending, and it tells a story of trauma and attempted suicide and the road to recovery from these. Let's go with that one.
7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
In Love Is A Locked Cell Door Chase Devineaux and Crackle happily start making out in a jail cell and live happily ever after!
Ok, being serious-
For a one-shot, simple (linked above) starts happy and ends happier.
For a chapter fic, Choice ends with Carmen, Julia, and Gray all living in a very happy polycule pardoned from the law with full emotional control of their lives which is fun :]
8. do you get hate on fics?
@emily-prentits used to leave passive aggressive comments on my wattpad and we would fight in the comments sections 💀now we're partners so make of that what you will. but anyway, no serious ones, no!
9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?
No, not really! I have a few "fade-to-blacks" or skip-overs without any detail. The one time I tried writing smut it was really forced and hard for me to write...doesn't help that I've never felt sexual attraction in my life so I don't know about that. Curse you asexuality for taking papertiger handcuff sex away from the world.
10. do you write crossovers? what's the craziest one you've written?
No, I'm not a fan of crossovers
11. have you ever had a fic stolen?
I've had one or two...heavily referenced. Not in bad faith, but it was funny to see a lot of my plot and prose mannerisms reworded in a younger author's fic. I think they credited me as inspiration or gifted it to me both times so its not a big deal.
12. have you ever had a fic translated?
I have not!
13. have you ever co-written a fic before?
If FRANTIC FANFIC! counts, which it shouldn't lol. Also the polycule is working on something :3
14. what's your all time favourite ship?
15. what's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I have an au where paper star and black sheep escape VILE together and go through a sort of friends to lovers to enemies deal as carmen (renamed cardinal here due to never escaping in the boat the way she does in canon), though influenced by paper star at the start, eventually finds her inevitable path of good while paper star slips into a chaos that cardinal just can't stomach
ill paste a snippet here that i wrote but its a little bit long and complex and i dont have a ton of motivation for it
16. what are your writing strengths?
ABILITY TO MAKE READERS SUFFER
17. what are your writing weaknesses?
cohesive plot...lord help me i cannot plan a fic to the end before i post chapter 1 and it bites me in the ass all the time
18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
if there's a small amount of it, i usually write it as-is in the other language and use external sources or context clues to explain it. if a lot of dialogue is in another language, I'll put it in brackets and write it in english!
19. first fandom you wrote for?
carmen sandiego. still going lmfao
20. favorite fic you've written?
that's really hard- i'm going to do top three in no particular order SORRY
Love, Carmen - this was the first or one of the first fics I ever wrote. it put me on the map a little bit (wattpad..) in terms of writing and boosted upon the sword and choice when they came along. it was really fun to just be young and writing after finishing all two released seasons of the show. i still like it a lot. its just cute and simple.
the phantom au - what a labor of love. i've had other fics (evil carlotta series, cough cough) that have been long and complex but those strayed into meandering and pointless and i lost a lot of motivation. phantom combined my love of theater with my favorite show and my hunger for angst angst angst. it was super fun to write and, at the risk of sounding vain, i pulled off a very hard to pull off trope at the end and i think i did it well. i think if you read any one of mine, this highlights a lot of my strengths.
the cardinal and the kitten - this is a popular one of mine that kind of serves as an updated love, carmen. i really enjoy how i wrote carmen and julia playing off of each other and my dialogue is very strong in this one.
okay, sorry about how long that was i treated it like a professional interview. i had a lot of fun writing this instead of working on a very important school project

I know this isn't a very normal thing for me, but... I have to talk about this.
So feel free to ignore. Or have a civilized discussion.
By civilized I mean, let's just talk. No accusations, yelling, anger, etc. If it becomes uncivilized, I won't answer :))
This is about tcest. This is your warning.
Twitter and Instagram are terrible for sharing anything. Cause it's like a hive mind. While I don't personally like April x any turtle, I'm not gonna tell someone not to create it.
But with tcest outright, yeah. No. Something has to be done. More than just "block the tag" cause it's gotten out of hand.
I just want something to be done. It just too much.
I'm tired of just, "it's not catered to you" yeah... You're right, but I feel like there's a deeper issue. Should we be scared for these people's families? Their sibling?
Or the "just block the tag" great, wonderful. So I have to potentially miss out on other creators because they say tcest dni and it gets blocked for me.
Cause guess what? I had the tag blocked for a while and it blocked some of my own posts and pretty much everything that says "tcest dni"
On top of that, the amount of times I've looked for screenshots from the show for bots and to see tcest is insane. It's not like it's a small handful of people, it's quite a large group anymore.
People can't draw/write siblings being siblings without it being called tcest is an issue. You can't create anything anymore without it being labeled as tcest. I'm so tired of it.
I know the Internet isn't catered to me specifically. But if you're just telling people to ignore incest... There's an issue. In the real world, something is always done about it, but online it's just "who cares 🤷♀️".
I never want to stop people from creating, but the fact that tcest is so normalized that if they hug you have to put "tcest dni" or "no tcest" .... It makes it feel like I — me personally idk about others — can't write them having sibling moments. Like they can be friendly, but they can't hug, they can't touch each other period.
Something actually needs to be done. Not harassment cause that's dangerous. But something.
Also... Like... Stop blaming people for letting you know about a tcester. It's not digging if they outright say it. 🤷♀️ Just my thoughts. This will probably be ignored and that's fine.

@vexwerewolf So we played In Golden Flame tonight and damn, I did not expect to show up at the end of somebody else's cowboy movie, only to realize we were g-men.
Now that Blacksmith guy, head of the local worker's union, he hired us to kill a "thief". We find the thief, but let him say his peace. If I'm hired to kill someone, I'd like to know who the target is, and the Blacksmith wouldn't give us any info.
The Thief tells us the Blacksmith is a corpo plant, and he's got evidence. Sends us multiple files. Screenshots, data logs, audio and video. Correspondence between the Blacksmith and SSC. Now, I understand having to work with the corpos in order to get shit done out here. We've got no Blinkgate and Union doesn't give two shits about the Boondocks of the Galaxy. Shit, half of us are piloting SSC chassis. We cut our own deals, even got into their "VIP Pilot Program", or whatever. I get it. But icing somebody to keep your reputation intact? I don't like that. You can say it's for the "greater good" all you want, but the only life anyone has any right to sacrifice is their own damn life. I ain't gonna shoot a man for fucking whistleblowing. No corpo could ever pay me enough to stoop that low.
Now, I'm firm in my beliefs here. The squad as a whole, however, are of differing minds. I voice my opinion. Redline isn't having it.
"We were hired for a job, we should finish it."
Charlie pipes in. "Guys, remember our mission? We're trying to save those people who are literally being enslaved and forced to fight each other to the death by Steele. We need the Blacksmith's transport ships. If we trade one life to save all of them, I think it's reasonable."
Christ the Buddha, did this bastard just bring up the fucking Trolly Problem? But shit... He's making sense. We need those ships for evac. We don't have enough room on the Dragon's Tooth for all of those civilians. Still...
Redline pulls his pistol onnthe Thief. "I'll finish him off if you won't."
In that moment, I make my decision. I draw my blaster and point it at Redline. He looks indignant when he turns to me.
"Really, Al? You'd point your gun at me? Over this?"
"I ain't gonna kill an innocent man, Red."
"Oh, so you get to decide who's innocent, now? Who made you judge and jury!?"
"Who made you executioner!?"
While we're having our shouting match, Lamplight is frozen. He can't decide. We need to save all those people. But, killing this man in cold blood is wrong... Right? Lamplight always wanted to be a hero, like Jessie. This doesn't seem very heroic...
Redline's face is red. He turns to the Thief and I can see his finger squeeze the trigger. I'm faster. My blaster goes off first. (I roll for Assault. 23.) I aim for his hand. The plasma bolt sunders his pistol, sending molten slag flying. Redline can feel the reverberations through his hardsuit. His arm goes numb, and falls limp to his side. He doesn't cry out. He just grits his teeth and pulls out a stim with his good hand.
I just stand there, realizing what I've done. Red looks up at me.
"I always knew you were a coward."
I square my jaw.
"I've got nothing to prove to you."
"Hesitating at the end of a job like this? It's weakness."
"I don't fucking care. I'm not a corpo shill."
Lamplight suddenly realizes something. "I can just do both." He looks to me and communicates though Witness, into my mind. "We can just do both."
I understand what he's communicating in an instant. With the images, I can also hear the old Witch's words. "Now, you may find another way..." With a thought, I activate my dataplate visor and send a message to Charlie. "Make it look like we killed him."
Redline's eyes are wide from the stim. He's shouting louder now.
"You're fucking weak!"
I shout back at him.
"I don't fucking CARE!"
I whip around and aim my blaster at the Thief. (I roll for Assault. Natural 20.) I aim for his head and make eye contact with him. I put the plasma bolt right next to his head. Close enough to singe him, but not enough to kill. Charlie is recording the evidence to send to the Blacksmith. Redline jumps on the Thief, veins pumping with a cocktail of stimulants. He beats down on him with his good hand.
Lamplight opens his slate and, as the video is recording, makes a few minor adjustments. Just enough not to be noticed, to be a bit more convincing. He looks up and shouts "Alright, he's dead already! Templar, pull him off!"
I grab Redline and yank him back. "Christ the Buddha, come on! He's dead, and we aren't fucking savages!" I drag Red off, back to our mechs. Charlie cuts the video feed and Lamplight leans down to the Thief. Into his mind, Lamplight speaks to him. "He won't come for you for a while."
The Thief looks up, bruised and burned and bleeding. His voice is horse. "I... I don't know how to repay you."
Lamplight noded. "Wait to send your broadcast until our mission is complete. That's all we ask. We need those ships.
The Thief closes his eyes. "Al... Alright. I'll wait. I'll wait..."
Lamplight put a a chitinous claw on his shoulder. "Thank you. I believe in you. I think you're a hero."
*Apparently the GM didn't expect our conversation to go the way it did. Since the book only has two outcomes, he had to improvise a bit. We're going to get to use the Blacksmith's ships for the mission, but afterwards we will gain "Enmity of the Blacksmith", but we'll also gain "The Thief's Honor". This session was great. We all gained several points of pilot stress and extra pilot EXP. Love Space Cowboys.

oh no Im into feederism and those lines of crocodile is making me go FGHRDTJDGRFHRTHD especially if its forced feederism 🤤
It will be in my mind 24/7 since I love crocodile so much and THIS is just perfect,,,
references this post
Not going to lie "But, I suppose there's no harm in fattening you up some more first" was the reason I had to share the screenshots on here... Excuse me, Sir? Could you be any more on the nose? Jeez 😵💫 I'm not really into feederism but weight gain can be really cute when done gently/with condescension. I love the humiliation aspect of it; the thought of being bare and naked and insecure underneath that steely gaze like in this post... And Crocodile just hits the spot 😔
tw.weight gain (a bit of wg based humiliation), yandere, fat + fem reader, had to answer this on mobile because our connection is busted again, sorry
For me, it's just the whole package, you know? That big, serious man who organized a whole crime syndicate to topple a country and get his hand on an ancient weapon, who says he's never trusted anyone, who was mocking the people of Alabasta from the very start - that same man deserves something nice and soft and sweet, don't you think? He loves his luxuries, big and small and in-between, and you are just that; an indulgence, something soft to come home to. He doesn't need to trust you if you aren't allowed to leave, if you are his well kept little secret, a little basement wife - because you'll never get out, anyway. It's entirely selfish and it makes him a bit vulnerable, yes, but that man thinks he can't fail. His ego is somewhere up among the stars, and he's arrogant enough to twist your predicament around into something else entirely - that you should be grateful you get to live such a lavish life, that he has done you nothing but favors. He's mean. He's cold. And he's cruel. But he also takes a certain pride in your care - from clothes to accessories, from the entertainment he provides you with to the food you eat. It's all curated, all crafted to suit you and flatter him, to mold you into something he can enjoy even more.
And seeing you gain weight? Makes his heart sing in a way that's even darker, even more possessive.
It means you're thriving in his hands, makes your lap softer and gives him more to touch, defile and mark. And it's an opportunity. It's cute how you fluster and shake when you finally gather the courage to tell him your clothes don't fit anymore and it's even cuter when he has you try them on for him and gets to see your mortification at having to undress and squeeze and struggle in front of him, under his steely gaze. After all, those clothes were expensive - and carefully picked out, too - so let him see if what you're saying is true. He gets to take the whole show in, gets to humiliate you subtly while you're reminded of who holds the reins in this fucked up excuse of a relationship. Forget about the injustice of this and think about how you want your captor to like you or else you'll be turned into gator food. He's not going to tell you that he loves the way you've filled out, how he can rest his head on a heavier chest and lap - he holds the cards in this moment and they'll have you on your best behavior.
It's about humiliation and keeping you small and about making you feel like he needs to like you. It's a game, one with a purpose; to make you more pliant, eager and more dependent than you already are. That man has layers and he can play his tricks like few others can - and he'll make sure you'll never truly glean the extent of his intentions. And affections.
#it's hard to explain in just a short text but that man sees an opportunity and goes for it. for fuck's sake operationutopia was years in the#making you don't think he'd plan mind games like this? of course he would; two birds one stone: he gets a fat(ter) little basement wife and#your self esteem/image gets ground to dust. perfect.#btw he'd never feed you to the fucking gators but if it helps with keeping you sweet... well who is he to argue#/crocodile#/one piece#tw.yandere#tw.dark content

Due to technical issues (I can't use Tumblr properly) I accidentally posted my draft earlier, panicked and deleted it after crying. So I don't have the actual ask to respond to, but I screenshotted it.
Whoever requested this I'm in love with you thank you. I love last legacy requests, especially with my bbg Felix (l'm so normal abt him.) I don't think I wrote him very well, but I don't know how he'd really react in a break up. I don't like to think about it because he's already lost Rime.
Anyway, I couldn't figure out exactly what to do.. So l'm doing a couple of mini scenarios for different situations in which they might break up.
Also, I do want to apologize. I have a six or crows request, and an obey me idea (of mine) but those are quite long and I am still slightly ill so I haven't gotten round to them yet. I'm doing this because it's small and simple, although it has taken me multiple days to do 😅
Anyway, to the scenarios! Writing these made me cry.
Felix & (Gender neutral) MC breaking up
Scenario #1 MC breaks up with him because they are dying and don't want to hurt him. (He doesn't know) I couldn't figure out how to end this so that's up to how you imagine it.
MC stared at Felix as he sat at his desk, that focused look they had grown to love etched on his face. Their heart ached in their chest, but this was better. It was for the best.
"Love... We need to talk." Their words are quiet, voice trembling, but Felix notices.
He looks at them, confused and worried. "What's wrong? Are you okay MC?"
MC takes a deep breath, the carpet suddenly be coming very interesting. "I can't do this anymore Felix."
His face fell and he shakes his head in disbelief. "What do you mean?"
MC closed their eyes, the ache in their chest worsening, but the doctors words echoed in their mind. They powered through, tears forming in their eyes. "It means we're done. I can't be with you anymore."
Felix's eyes widened in shock, and they are sure they can see his heart break. "Why? What did I do wrong? Can it be fixed? Tell me, I'll make it work, I promise-"
They shake their head, fighting back the urge to run into his arms, apologize, tell him whats really going on. "No. I'm going, I'm sorry."
Scenario #2 Felix breaks up with them because they are returning to their own world. I don't really like the way I ended this, but whatever, I feel bad for taking so long so I'm not gonna rewrite it 😭
Felix and MC stood facing each other, the pain clear in both of their eyes. Felix had to make a difficult decision, one that would break both of their hearts.
"I have to break up with you," Felix said quietly, his voice shaky. The familiar pain of losing someone was creeping into his chest.
MC's face fell, "What? Why? I'll only be gone a day or two."
"No. Time moves differently in our worlds. A few days for you will be years and years for me. By the time you return, I will be dead." He regrets his decision, seeing the pain in their eyes as they realised the situation.
"Oh." Before Felix can speak, they whisper. "But I don't want to lose you."
MC watched as he stepped closer, his hand finding it's way to their cheek and wiping tears away before kissing them gently.
It was short, too short. But at this moment in time, would any kiss be long enough? If only they could stay, and have all the kisses they want.
A harsh warmth appeared behind them before they could say anything else MC was pulled backwards through a portal to their own world, their screams falling upon deaf ears.
I hope these weren't too awful! I actually had a third one, but I already took too long with these so I didn't include it. Xx

Okay soooo I have a few things to say...!
First of all, YOUR ART. IS AMAZING.
I can't-
Like, you found your style and just slay it, I don't understand how you people simply find things suitable for your hands and just😭
I can't even find my art style 😭
Second, OH MY GOD I LOOOOOVE the way you see the characters in this show. Like, you like Raph's soft, protective side, and you love Donnie (obviously duh 0-0) AND!! I lOVE when Raph is calling everyone "baby" or "little sunshine" to soothe them or SOMETHING LIKE THAT I JUST LOVE IT ALRIGHT
Third... Your head is so colorful and full of everything. Like... Memes + cuties + brotherly love + ABSOLUTE TERROR... 😭 YES you scared me a lot of times indeed.. I'm not going to bed tonight🥲 but in a good way, because I haven't seen that good editing in a good while. I mean the YouTube videos :) the screams, the music fits PERFECTLY, and I bet you don't even consider that a hard work you're just doing it easily and it's soo good 😭
Fourth... You are very respectful. Every time before posting any gore you give straight warnings (and I ignore them every time :p)
Also...! I need a better navigation here... It's hard to keep up with the Donnie Disaster comic. Ughhh..... Do you mind if I screenshot the whole thing and dub it...? 🥲 I give credits always when I post on YouTube! (It's still totally cool if you don't want me to)
That's all (for now :3)
...
Imma go try and sleep now... But I don't think I will be able to🥲 that jacket in my closet looks like one of the zombies in IV AU and ugh... He's staring into my soul a bit🫠
I'm probably gonna annoy you for a while here lol
AWWWW STHAP YOU'RE GONNA MAKE ME CRY TT°TT, SO ITS MY TURN TO ANSWER YOURS !!
1.) THANK YOU SO MUCH !! I JUST TRIED SO HARD COMPARING MY WORK TO ACTUAL SHOW BUT I REALIZE I ALSO CAN'T FIND MY OWN ART STYLE TOO LOL
2.) YUH OFC I LOVE GIVING THE CHARACTERS AND THEIR MILD RESPECTIVE PERSONALITY. yeah I gib Raph calling Donnie or other bros "Babies". And for Mikey being called as "Little sunshine".
3.) Yeah art style is art style even I had amalgam of any art styles which it is hard to keep it straight yet messed up and fr I extremely love horror stuffs ;0;
4.) Yeah, even I'm scared of the viewers, especially the minors so I don't wanna let em go trauma but I failed lol
5.) AND OFC YOU CAN DUB IT, I WILL CRY FR JUST LINK ME THERE AND I'LL CRY

What is Sabre?
The last time I posted here was over three years ago. I suppose with this post I just wanted to give a little update on anyone that may have been interested in the Sabre game at some point, or mainly to chronicle what this blog was about for myself. I'm also not a big fan of internet mysteries left unsolved, so here's just some updates about the history of Sabre and myself.
Sabre was a game that I started to conceptualize in high school a short while after I played the original OFF. OFF is such a special game to me, very near and dear to my heart. Especially back then, it was one of my special interests and was at the forefront of my mind for years. I can't really describe what captivated me so much about it. It was the first time I had been introduced to absurdist concepts like that, if you can call it that, and its storytelling even in its simplicity captured me. I loved it so much, in fact, that I wanted more, which led me to play fangames and eventually design my own.
I started by writing out some dialogue and character concepts on a Google doc, and eventually bought RPG Maker 2003 and got to work. The main character, Mawren, which you can see in the latest screenshots of the new original build as well, was not inherently designed for Sabre, but instead just started off as a simple OFF OC for me. I designed the other characters based off of random things I saw in my life, such as a plant that was given to me for a holiday that I eventually made into to the merchant, Orpheus (the real life plant he's based off of is actually still alive! and its name is also Orpheus).
Anyway, I think barely anyone but me and a handful of others even know who the characters of Sabre are, not for any poor publicity reasons, but rather for the fact that I was very hesitant about sharing Sabre. Surprisingly, there actually is a finished build of Sabre which is still sitting on my computer. This finished build was completed sometime around very late 2019, very early 2020 as I remember rushing to finish it over my winter break for my friends to play. They were my main audience for Sabre, and while I don't talk to them anymore, I feel honored to know that someone enjoyed something I put so much care, love, and hard work into.
But anyway, this completed build was never meant to see the light of day in the OFF community. It was a first draft of sorts, a passion project which I could dump everything into without being too critical of myself. My plan all along had been to construct a version I saw would be more suited for others to play. I also felt, after playing other fangames which I really admired, that I used too many of the original assets of OFF and could have put more developed, original content into it of my own. That's only my own personal opinion in myself. I saw a version of Sabre in my mind that was some sort of improvement, though I still hold that original build near and dear to my heart. It's still a finished product after all, and anyone who works hard on a game or fangame no less should be proud of themselves, regardless of what others may say about the finished product.
But anyway, some time later after the original build, I began to work on a demo for the new Sabre. This would be available for the public to play, and I'd put it on the wiki for easy download. I don't remember exactly, but I think this demo went into about half of zone 1. By this time, my art skills had improved, but I remember I still struggled quite a bit in making my art look 'good' in the confines of the RPG Maker 2003 engine's constraints. Either way, I finished and published this demo on the OFF wiki.
What happened next is what made me give up on Sabre for a long time. I was fortunate to have someone kind in the community play my game and give me feedback on it, though to neither their fault nor mine, they encountered quite a few technical errors which I was embarrassed about. Then I received a message from another player calling me a slur and berating me on the mechanics of my game and how it paled in comparison to another fangame. It absolutely broke my heart and I didn't know what to do. After this, I deleted the demo from the wiki. When I recovered emotionally, I did work on yet another new build, which completely rehauled zone 0, the graphics, the characters, and the story, I stopped after a short while. To note, I'm not upset about that random player anymore. It was a long time ago, I'm a lot older and more emotionally mature, and from what I've heard, they're gone now. So it's all good!
Anyway, Sabre sat like that for a while. During this phase, it was still an OFF fangame. But my interest in OFF was waning as I moved onto other things. I still really adored all the characters I had made, but I began to question if I should keep it as an OFF fangame or not. I didn't want to include many, if any at all, of OFF's original characters, but I still really loved the world. This led me to making the version you'll see in the screenshots below, with Mawren in the forest. I constructed a whole different vision for Sabre, and while it still maintained some aesthetics of OFF, I feel it began to become too far removed to call it a fangame and instead just a game with OFF inspirations.
Now we are here. I haven't worked on either version of Sabre for a while, but I was thinking about it again and OFF and its fangames as a whole. So, I figured I would come back here and write this.
Where does Sabre stand now? Well, I'm not sure. There is a part of me that really adores it as an OFF fangame still. How could I not? That's where it all started, and I feel like it's still rooted in that somehow. But the other part of me desires more freedom than OFF's world, and as I said, my interest in OFF is far less than it was before. I feel that a compromise may be for me to combine the two latest builds of Sabre into one, and say that it just has OFF inspirations, or something like that. Maybe if I keep working on it, since I have gotten ideas for it since then, I'll just see where the path takes me.
But Sabre is not a main priority for me anymore. It's something I revisit every now and then. I have developed other original projects since then that incorporate more of my newer interests and those are my primary focus, since the only rules I'm constrained by are my own. Not that I think a fangame has to perfectly follow all of OFF's rules to be in its world, that's ridiculous. There's creative freedom. But you know what I mean. There will always be that part of me that might feel constrained by them.
So to sum it up, while I still will update this blog with Sabre game updates when I have them, I think they will be extremely rare. I'm 20, I'm in college now and a new semester is going to start soon enough. Drawing what I want is also more fun for me than having to make game assets all the time, and game development in general is a time-consuming process. Not that I don't enjoy it when I want to do it, but I feel like for me personally, I need to be in the right mood for it.
So, that's the deal with Sabre! Thanks for reading if you've come this far. My main goal with this post was to put this out there, mainly for myself so people weren't left hanging or wondering. Though I browse around a lot, I'm not very talkative to others on the internet because I'm quite shy and pretty low energy for socialization.
I also want to say that I think I still may be active elsewhere on Tumblr. I have an art blog, @diced-snowflake, that has been sitting empty for several years that I think I may actually start to use. My main platform for the past several years has been Instagram, but I want to see what things are like here on Tumblr too for my art. If you're interested, there may be something on there.
To everyone who is still out there developing fangames, good luck and I hope that developing them brings you just as much joy as it brought me. Create for yourself and just have fun. Only share it with friends if you want to--that doesn't mean your work is any less worthy. You're making it, you're putting your heart into it. That's what makes it worthy.
Anyway, that's all I've got. I hope everyone has a good day, if anyone else sees this! Now I feel like I can finally put this to rest.
