“So, we reached out to her and luckily she hasn’t transferred to a new label. She agreed to rejoin KQ.”

Hongjoongs head is finally out the clouds. “This is great thank you sir, I need to prepare and clean my studio and file what we have.” He wanted you to see him in his best condition.

“There’s no need she’s already in the studio.” Fuck.

After speedwalking through the building he finally reaches his studio. Through a cracked door he could see you stood there, running your hand on the sound board. He swallows and decides to come in. “Hey it’s me, I-I didn’t think you’d get here so soon.” He tried to sound as natural as possible.

“It seems like Joongie still can’t manage to keep his studio tidy.” You laugh while running your hand through all the software you haven’t used in forever.

Hongjoong’s head is once again, finally out the clouds. “YEA! Let’s make this happen.”

Session #5

You and Hongjoong have now had 5 sessions recording, editing and sorting the music and vocals, and Joong has enjoyed every bit of it. He always puts every ounce of passion, effort and creativity into his music, whether you’re there or not, but something about you being here adds a spark.

You hadn’t came in yet due to errands. Hongjoong had to record Mingi on his own. Mingi finally leaves the booth so him and Hongjoong can listen through.

“Wait….” you turn your laptop so he can see what you mean, “Take the drums but turn on sound opacity.” You can tell Hongjoong isn’t sure on what you’re hinting but you have his upmost confidence.

“And then bring in spare vocals from Jongho’s scrapped harmony.” You intently watch him follow your directions. When he’s finished he plays back the beat. There it was, the best version of the title track.

You two take a break since Joong ordered you both chinese takeout. You’re both on his studio’s couch he’s sitting down while you’re laying on the rest of the space, your legs resting on Hongjoongs.

While taking the plastic off your straw and poking it into your drink, “5 songs done, a title track and 3 more to go.” You’re giggling. “With the rate we’re going making them together. Ateez might have an early comeback.”

“Yea I don’t know what I could’ve done or could do without you, I need you around all the time.” You pause while pushing your food around but get back into tossing it around to your liking.

Hongjoong is once again enamored hearing you sing and watching you feel the music all through your body. His lips are parted and eyes are on you alone. Once you’re finish your part you look up to see Joong sing his portion but he’s silent and his eyes are stuck on yours.

“I love you.”…..that wasn’t in the script, maybe it’s an adlib you think but Joong was staring as serious as ever. “I’ve loved you for a while and I want you to be mine, I mean this- this isn’t a song Y/n.” Denial is sitting in your chest. “Joong you’re just tired let’s go home.”

— maybe you plan for you both to go to a scare/ fright night. you gush about the plan, saying how excited you are and how you'll both go for dinner beforehand, go to the location and get a hot drink before the activity 

— he doesn't scare easily, so he'd be very stoic while walking around the maze with you, not out of boredom!! but bc he knows where all the scare actors and jumpscares would be. he kinda assesses his surroundings without realising and calculates where everything would be. but even if he did get jump scared I think he'd only have a little hand covering the heart moment (like with ladybug)

— he def swears and gets a little angry when he gets a fright "you fucking ..." or a couple "twat"s here and there

— even though it's only pretend and all in good fun, I still think he'd be protective of you. holding your hand, and keeping you near, but not bc he's scared and wants support, it's to keep you safe

Y/n wasn't pissed when he got caught by the 141, but he had no intentions on letting them get any information out of him. 

They didn't plan on treating him nice when they wanted information either, so he opted to stay silent the entire time. 

Of course, this led to him getting plummeted by the man with the skull mask but Y/n didn't even bother flinching at the pain. He stared at the man deep in the eyes and just smiled. The man just glared at him angrily and sighed before leaving the room. 

Y/n hardly registered where his knife had pierced through his skin but barely paid attention to it as he wondered who they would send in next.

The masked man was the third of the four to come into the place they were holding Y/n, not that he was concerned but eventually he would have to get out of here and report back to his own superiors...soon.

While lost in his own thoughts, Y/n didn't hear the door open again as the black male stepped into the room.

"I'm surprised Ghost didn't crack you… He usually scares the shit out of anyone" he chuckled out, finally gaining Y/n's attention as he whipped his head up to look at the man standing before him.

Y/n stared at him with blank eyes before letting his own eyes scan over the man's features. Y/n couldn't help but smile at the attractive snack in front of him. 

The thin little hips were making him go wild, those sharp beautiful browns gazed into his very soul, the perfect height, and his voice… Damn he wanted to rail the very being out of the young Brit. 

The male stared at him in confusion before sighing and walking up to him and pulling Y/n by his collar harshly to look at him.

"You have information that we need. No point to keep it to yourself..." he growled out while pressing deep into the bullet wound in his thigh making Y/n smile even more at his eagerness as the pain spread through his body like a wildfire.

"I didn't know the 141 kept such beauties around..." a knife was now going through the same thigh he had gotten shot in but he continued to ignore it as he watched the black male look at him, a much more pissed expression now painting his face.

"I don't think to realize just how fucked you are... so I suggest you either cooperate or we'll have to do things the hard way," he pulled his hair back this time, hard as Y/n just laughed at him.

"Oh don't worry, I'm already halfway there... in the meantime, why don't you tell me your name, cutie?"

The hit to the ribs made him cough up blood, but he still smiled up at the man.

Y/n really did want to know his name, he was damn near gorgeous to look at.

"You're disgusting...you know that?"

Y/n laughed more as he coughed up even more blood than before.

The male walked out the room angry, slamming the door as he stormed out to his team.

Gaz sighed and nodded before making his way back into where they were holding... Y/n.

The man looked the same as he left him, bloody and beaten but still smiling up at him.

Gaz was going to be honest, Y/n still looked too damn good considering the amount of scars and bruises they had left on him... it was partially unfair in his opinion.

"Shut up, Y/n..."

"Likewise, Gaz..." Y/n responded.

Gaz wasn't even mad that the man knew his codename, before grabbing his collar and kissing him fully on the lips.

Y/n looked surprised but continued fucking smiling at him regardless.

my absolute favorite poetry collection, from my absolute favorite poet <3333 i’m assuming that you’re looking for novels rather than poetry but. i HAD to rec this one. because i love it soooooo dearly and it’s inspired my writing so much!!!! siken’s use of language is just …… sooooo tasty. so good. i’m completely obsessed with him. his other poetry collection is called crush and centers around tenderness/sex/violence (and the ways they blur together), but i’d say this collection is more about. art. making art. it’s also about love and war and. lots of things. but art is a big theme. paint on paint. etc. it made me severely ill in the best of ways <33 i really couldn’t recommend it enough!!!

eureka street - robert mcliam wilson

this book is . sooooo underrated 😔😔 i hate it so much. not the book i just hate that it isn’t widely renowned because it SHOULD BE. i read this for one of my high school english classes and it. changed my brain chemistry forever. it’s so good. wilson’s writing is so insanely gorgeous?? it reminds me so much of the writing in disco elysium (my fav video game + biggest writing source 🙏)…. honestly i think it’s worth reading for the writing alone. anyway!! this is a book about love. it starts with the quote ”all stories are love stories.” it’s also about the troubles, which is a conflict between catholics and protestants in ireland during the late 1900s. this book takes place at the end of a period of terror and bombings, but still manages to be about love first and foremost. the main characters are charming and silly and kind of insane in the head <33 this book is VERY funny btw… it had me laughing out loud a lot but also had me feeling so much. it’s so, so heartfelt. you can tell wilson loves belfast. and you can tell belfast loves its people. this book is so special to me and i don’t think i can explain its entire appeal with just words, so you’re just gonna have to trust me when i say it’s wonderful <33

the human flies - hans olav lahlum

do you like murder mysteries 👀👀….. i do. this is my favorite one. it’s very near and dear to my heart!!! the human flies is a classic whodunnit where a man has been killed in his apartment complex, and the other residents are all suspects. it’s about trauma. kind of. and it has a really good historial twist where it turns out that they’re all connected through ww2… but i think the greatest charm point of this book (aside from the mystery) is its characters!! they’re all really vibrant and charming. or not so charming. but they’re hard not to get attached to i think!!! this book also subverts the detective genre by making its detective really useless which i love <333 he ends up being contacted by a girl in a wheelchair who’s basically sherlock holmes and she does all the mystery solving. it’s great. if you’re into the murder mystery genre then i really recommend this one!!

beartown - fredrick backman

THIS BOOK . god. this is another one that i can’t really talk about coherently because it means so much to me. i think every single person on this planet should be strapped to a chair and forced to read it <333 this is a book about…. literally everything. if i had to pick just one thing it’d be community. but like… it’s about family. it’s about friendship. it’s about hockey. it’s about sexual violence and locker-room culture and their devastating consequences. it’s about cherry blossoms and the hope they carry. it’s about healing. it’s about a small town and the people who live in it. every single one of them are interesting. when it comes to the actual plot… i think it’s best to go in blind but i doooo feel obligated to tell you that the center of the book’s conflict is a rape. the first half of the book introduces beartown, its famous hockey team, its people and their stories. the second half deals with the consequences of this rape. backman wrote this book so, so thoughtfully. the topic is obviously sensitive but you don’t need to worry about the perpetrator not getting what’s coming to him, because he will. and ohhhhh BOY backman’s writing. his writing is so unbelievably pretty. that’s the best word for it. he’s literally carrying swedish literature on his bare shoulders. holy fuck. in conclusion; this is maybeeee my favorite book of all time? and you should read it :3 it’s very long but i promise it feels so fast once you get into it. it’s the kind of book that i think everyone can fall in love with!!!! it really did change my life i think.

the travelling cat chronicles - hiro arikawa

honestly, i think this is the book i’d recommend to you the most!! not because of quality (though definitely that too!!) but because i think it’s perfect for someone who’s just getting into reading. minus points for being kindaaa long but that’s all!! i think i should preface this by saying that this book made me cry LMAO. ugly cry. sob. i’ve never cried so hard reading a book before…. it wasn’t a bad cry though!! this book is sad but it’s also so charming and hopeful and sweet. it’s about a cat who travels around the country with his owner satoru(!!), not knowing where they’re going or why they’re going there. the kitty is the narrator and he’s sooo charming. satoru is too. their dynamic is so precious :(((( if you love cats then you’ll love this book, trust me!! anyway… to me this is a great pick for new readers because the writing is super pretty but also really. easy to chew? the story is also written in a very compelling way which should make it a pretty quick read despite its lenght!! it’s very much a roadtrip book :3 i love it a lot and even though it made me cry i consider it a bigggg comfort read (but i’m a jjk fan so take that with a grain of salt)

the stranger - albert camus

ok so!!! i did try not to add any classic books to this list because honestly i don’t think many of them are good introductions to reading. the educational system could learn from me . BUT…. this is one that i think you can get really hooked on even if you don’t study literature. this is a book about . existentialism. or just apathy (and overcoming it)… the protagonist doesn’t really want much in life. he just follows the herd. he’s basically like…. just some guy?? but also very much Not just some guy. because just some guys don’t answer their girlfriend’s proposal with ”if you want to.” or chainsmoke. or kill a guy because ”the sun was too hot.” yeah. he’s very charming (<- worrying taste in men), very weird and very interesting. most analyses on this book are just attempts to diagnose him. the central conflict of the book is the murder he commits, and the trial that follows, where the attention shifts from his actual murder to… the fact that he didn’t cry at his mother’s funeral. hm. this book is really fun. :3 and i love camus’ writing!!! like many books on this list it’s pretty but easy to chew, so i think you’ll enjoy it. read if you want to Think about life. or if you want to see meursault have his bisexual awakening in the middle of a murder trial.

the great gatsby - f. scott fitzgerald

jay gatsby they will never make me hate you…. remember what i just said about not wanting to add classics to this list? the great gatsby is another exception <333 honestly i just . really love this book!!! it’s such a short and tasty read!!!!! i’ve heard that american students really hate it because they were forced to read it and like . i sympathize but 🤨 c’mon. there are sooo many classics that are so much more hellish to read for school…. they don’t know how good they have it……. anyway. the writing is very pretty and the descriptions are soooo…. captivating. so many lines are stuck in my brain. (”they’re a rotten crowd. you’re worth the whole damn bunch put together” my BELOVED <333) people will tell you that this book is about the futility of the american dream and it IS but i also think you should make your own interpretation!!! because there are lots to make. personally i favour the queer one <33 because i’m…. me. gatsby is just . such a tragic character. but also so pathetic. and charming. he’s one of my og meowmeows. this book is worth reading if only for him. i need to dip him in olive oil.

…. sigh . look 😔😔 do i like haruki murakami? no. do i like his writing? unfortunately yes. this book is fucking wild and kind of gross in . a plethora of ways (tw for umm cat beheadings? almost rape (in a dream)? fantasy incest kind of maybe…?? it’s not as bad as it sounds but like. it kinda is. idk.) but for some reason it’s still one of my favorites. i feel like murakami’s classic blend between fantasy and reality stays the same throughout his works and it’s just….. reallyyyyy tasty to me. i think that’s why i still think of this book so often. it really really moved me. and i mean…. let’s face it, his writing is very pretty. this is a book about growing up and it really doesn’t shy away from the discomforting topics that come with that. it’s also about talking cats and mommy issues. kafka has lots of them. i think he’s kind of annoying. the other characters are very charming though!! in this book you basically follow two different plot lines, and both are really captivating imo… buuuut the book is Very Long and very weird so i don’t know if i’d recommend it to someone who’s just getting into reading 😭 it really is very good though… if nothing else, read it for the Vibes. they’re very tasty.

waiting for godot - samuel beckett

this is a fun one <333 and a weird one. NOT a good rec for a new reader lmao but i do have to add it because i adore samuel beckett…. and this is my favorite play!!!!!! it’s usually associated with absurdism which i think says enough on its own. this is a play about…. waiting for godot. that’s all <3 the two main characters, didi and gogo, are basically stuck in a timeloop where they wait for godot to come. he doesn’t. they keep waiting. i adore this play for many reasons but some of them are: timeloops my beloved (1), didi & gogo are super funny and gay and their back-and-forth dialogue kinda turns into poetry sometimes (2), it’s SO much fun to analyze (3). godot can literally be whatever you want him to be. that’s so fun!!!! it’s a weird play but if you want to get into reading plays then… it’ll be here <33

giovanni’s room - james baldwin

aaaand finally!!!! this lovely gem <333 i’m actually not completely finished with it myself but i can tell you that it’s already one of my favorites!!!!! it’s about . shame. and tenderness. and morality. all that good stuff :3 i’ll try to keep this short but . basically…. it centers around a closeted gay/bisexual man who goes on vacation to paris while his girlfriend is vacationing in spain. in a certain bar, he meets a certain barman, whose name is giovanni. they really hit it off. sadly they’re doomed by the narrative. goshhhh this book is just. ough. first of all??? james baldwin is SO . fucking good. his prose is so gorgeous. soooo so gorgeous. worth reading just for that. but the dynamic between david and giovanni is …… so lovely??? and the glimpse you get into their heads is just so. beautiful. :((( this book is so SAD . but also not really. it’s bittersweet. david has to choose between a safe life and a happy life and he’s doomed to choose the safe life. that’s all there is to it.

i am very thankful for ada because she was the first person to introduce me to ‘this’, but i definitely fell into a trap of feeling stuck for a while. i clung to ideas she shared like her ‘scale of emotions’ or ‘dropping the mind so you can reinstall it’ etc. i see now the message she was trying to share, and i think she did a wonderful job at introducing so much of the limited LOA community to our true limitless Self, but for me personally these ideas kept me constantly waiting for something to happen if that makes sense? like i thought because i was still experiencing thoughts, i wasn’t there yet. i know now that i don’t need to ‘free’ myself of an ego or a person. just free yourself from the thought that you’re not already free! you are already that, LITERALLY. you needn’t reach a ‘thoughtless’ state of mind, you needn’t let go of ego bit by bit. just know you’re free now. see it for yourself, and all limits drop effortlessly. go within, and see how all the limitations you thought yourself to have are actually self-imposed and totally baseless. :)))

I can definitely relate! There's no hate for Ada on my part either but there were times where I felt like I was still waiting for materalization, or some grand "realization" moment. It is much better just to accept that you are free without the extra steps like silencing the mind, dropping ego, etc.

But at the end of the day, she is one of the first people that helped me and I'm grateful to her as well!

“Wouldn’t that make me a Nepo baby?” He asked.

With a straight face you narrowed your eyes at your boyfriend.

“Boy, that’s really your concern?” You deadpanned. This seriously couldn’t be the most testing factor of working with Zeke of all people but apparently Dina and Eren were on the same page.

“I don’t think it will.” Dina made a thinking face before bringing up her phone to do a quick search. “I only think it affects you if it’s passed down from a parent and not across from a sibling.”

With a groan, Carla threw her head onto your shoulders, feigning fatigue.

“Oh my goodness, my annecim only wants to be rich. Not a hard working bone in his body — Oh! I’ve failed.”

With a soft laugh, you patted the woman’s head.

“Sorry, Carla. I know you tried your best.”

At the end of the day though, Eren makes sure he always spoils you with nice things and doesnt mind spending maintenance money on you! He’ll always have coin for you regardless and loves when he sees you all dolled up under his appendage

I see Kei giving the most AUDACIOUS side eye when you start gushing over Taki because as you go on and on and on about how sweet Taki is, how funny he is, and how adorable he is, all K can think about is all the embarrassing and dumb stuff Taki has done.

Although it was painfully obvious who’s order that really was, nothing was gonna stop you from going on this date/not date/hangout.

^ yeah, Kei is adamant about this being anything BUT a friendly gathering so there were some rules he put in place:

- no hand holding unless you are about to fall (But it’s only ok if you are gonna fall. Taki is on his own)

- no hugging

- no gazing longingly at one another

- when love songs play you both need to be OUT the rink

The rule list got cut short when K noticed the death stare you gave him so he made the very wise decision for you all to head inside!

Once you guys got in there (and Kei paid for your skates because he’s such a good big bro~) you and Taki could not WAIT to head to the rink and start skating.

Though you somehow forgot the fact that, ahem, you can’t skate. So guess what happens when you mix wheels strapped to your feet + a very clumsy, and let’s be honest, DISTRACTED you?

“Whoops!”

You yelped as you felt yourself slipping and tumbling backwards.

Luckily for you, Taki is quite used to roller skating and he came in just the knick of time to catch you as you fall! You looked up at him and laughed a bit to yourself and also out of bashfulness because, ‘oh my gosh Taki is H oL DING me right now don’t panic don’t panic don-‘.

“You alright?” Taki asks when you finally manage to stand upright, thanks to Taki offering his shoulders as support for your hands. You nod your head and thank him for what he did, but you did not notice the second death glare of the night from Kei…

“What was that!?” He says out loud to himself..like a normal person. K is so upset that you two broke literally ALL of the rules in a single moment, the audacity! He gets ready to roll over there and separate you both but he stops when he hears your cheery laugh and your eyes crest from a happy smile.

Kei loves seeing you like that.

He thinks for a moment and realizes that Taki really makes you happy. And it’s not like Kei doesn’t trust Taki, he’s known the kid for so long, and that might just be why he doesn’t want you with him. Funny enough he views Taki like another younger sibling that he can joke around and bicker with. But when it comes to stuff like this he’s lost and just immediately goes into over protective mode. He knows the both of you are young and he doesn’t want either of you to get hurt.

“But it’s not about me, now is it?” He says to himself (quietly this time) as he stares at you and Taki for a while and sighs. His kids are growin’ up, and he knows that the only way for them to grow and flourish is if they do it on their own. Not with a strong overbearing hand.

Kei turns around and rolls back to his original place behind the side lines and watches on with a small smile. When you guys are done he pull you and Taki in for a tight hug, much to both of your confusion.

But that confusion quickly fades away when K makes an offer neither of you can refuse.

“You guys deserve some lunch, I’m buyin!”
