Pedri
Tumblr media
"Don't let me take the ball from you." Pedri says, trying to take show him how to keep the ball. "Vale no, don't push me because if you push someone on the game, they are taking you out."
"Why?"
"Bua, imagine someone comes and pushes you to get the ball. Yo te pongo una roja, chaval."
You shake your head at them, fighting over an imaginary red card. You finish fixing the food while looking at the window to see them playing.
Rosy once told you that Pedri was the same with his father. They were outside all the time playing with a ball.
"Okay, time out. You two need to eat." You call them.
Pedri and you got into a better foot. He was more talkative now. You both sat down to talk, and you decided that you need to be adults for the sake of your son.
He was now more responsive with the texts, with calls, he was better in every way. You feel like now you can actually say that he was with you in everything.
That can also is noticeable on your son, he looks more happy, more confident in different activities. It was all for the better, and you are happy with it.
"Croquetas?" Pedri asks, entering the kitchen. "My diet is really suffering, eh."
"You can eat the salad." You tease him, placing the bowl in front of him.
"Con lo ricas que te quedan a ti las Croquetas, I prefer to break the diet." He says, grabbing a good amount of food. (With how good you make the croquetas)
You smile at him. "But your mom's are better."
"I like yours, mami." Your son says, hugging your legs.
You kneel down, giving him a kiss. "Thank you, amorcito." You smile, kissing his cheek. "Now eat your lunch, you need all the energy you can get for the game."
Pedri loves seeing you parenting your son, it was so cute to see. How your voice goes from normal to this very sweet voice.
You are also so delicate with him. Always knowing what he wants or what he says, even when he doesn't understand him, you do.
He looks for you, even at his house. If he doesn't see you, he's always mentioning his Mami. That was something that Pedri always admired about you, your dedication to your son.
Pedri helps you load the dishwasher while you organize the toys on the floor. You like this Pedri, who was talkative, who was helping you and not just answering with an emoji or leaving you on read.
"Need help with something else?" He asks you, leaving the kitchen.
"Can you put him to bed?" You ask. "I just need to prepare his school bag for tomorrow real quick."
He nods, picking your son from the couch and taking him to his room. "Papi, stay."
Pedri doesn't know what to say, he can't just invite himself. "Buaf, guapo, maybe next time."
"No, today."
He can't help but feel bad, his son is used to having only you or him. He blames himself for that, letting his ego get in the way of him.
"We need to ask mam-"
He can't even finish his sentence when his son outer the loudest scream he ever heard. "Mami!"
"Ey, chaval." Pedri tries to cover his mouth. "Para, the neighbors might hear you."
You walk upstairs after the third call you son's make you. Making you wonder what is going on.
"Si?" You ask, entering the room. "Is everything okay?"
"Si, tod-"
"Let papi stay." He smiles, hugging Pedri by the neck. "Pwease."
You sometimes struggle to understand your son, he's little and still learning to pronounce the words.
But this was too perfect for you to think he's saying something else.
"I-" You begin. Clearing your throat. "I mean, it's up to you, I don't mind." You say, trying to sound normal.
He lifts his eyebrows, silently asking you if it was really okay for him to crash over for the night. You nod, letting him know that it was really okay.
"Now, let's get you a warm bath." You smile, taking your son in your arms. "Tomorrow you have school, and Papi and I need to work."
You both do the bath routine. You can't help but wonder if this is what it would've felt if you and him worked better instead of parting ways as soon as the first problem hits.
"You can stay here, or I can prepare the guest room."
"Whatever is fine." He smiles, grabbing a book to read. "Gracias, for letting me stay."
Both of you thought that it was going to be a one-time thing, maybe he won't ask again, maybe she did it to let our son have his way.
But the reality was that Pedri decided to use those weeks that there was left until the game as an excuse on why he needed to be there.
Are you going to argue?
No, you love it.
"Lunch is ready," You announce. They were out in the patio playing with the ball. "Time out, no more playing. You two need to eat."
They sound of their laughs, the extra place on the table. It all makes you feel like you got what you wanted.
"I want ice cream."
"No, mami made us some yummy food." Pedri says, making your son stop arguing. "I want to ask you something." He says, helping you with the plates.
"Aja?" You ask, concentrated on the food.
"Do you wan-"
"Do you want rice or not?" You ask, asking before serving food. "Sorry, I cut you off."
"It's okay, and no, I eat at the club." He answers. "Do you wan-"
"Mami, can I have mac and cheese?"
"Mijo, there's chicken and rice." You say, placing the plate in front of him. "We can have that for dinner."
You sat down, remembering that Pedri hadn't had a chance to tell you what he wanted to tell you.
"Pepi, tell me what you wanted to tell me."
"Oh, si." He smiles, taking a deep breath. "I was thinking that maybe we can go out to eat tonight. The three of us, maybe somewhere where he can play."
"That sounds amazing." You smile, "He has a play date, but after that, we are free."
"Vale, I'm picking you two after that." He smiles, kissing your son's head. "See you then."
You stay happy the rest of the day. You like the idea of going out, it feels like you are a real family.
You change into something comfortable, but not to the point you look like you are home. You still manage to look casual and stylish.
The play date ended quickly. After a coffee and a good chisme from the other mom, you two parted ways into the mall.
When you get home, you have time to brush your teeth and spray some more perfume. You brush your kid's teeth, making sure he is comfortable.
Pedri picked you up only a few moments later. You open the back door, placing you kid in his chair. When you open the passenger seat door, you are welcome with a bouquet of flowers.
"Estoy esperando no haberla cagado, eh!" He says, giving you a kiss on the cheek. "Are these still your favorite?"
"They are, gracias." You blush a little. "Where are we going?"
"Remember that place near the beach we liked when we first came to Barcelona?"
"The one with those milkshakes?" You ask, already craving one. Pedri nods, smiling at your reaction. "I haven't been there in so long."
"But nothing with milk for him." He says, whispering so your kid won't hear him. "Tomorrow's the game, and I don't want him to get sick."
You can't lie that watching Pedri share moments with your kid is something else. He was something else.
You focus on enjoying the time you have with them, hearing him talk about his day, hearing him talking like he used to when you were together.
You wished the day was longer to enjoy more time together, but sadly as the day got to an end. You know you have to go back home and prepare for the important day of your son.
You thought that this was going to be a calm day. You were going to enjoy your son and his friends.
But you feel nervous, you can't help but want his team to win and pulverize the other team. Even if you are talking about kids and not adult footballers.
"Diviértete, and please don't push anybody." Pedri says, walking to the field with your kid in his arms. "Te amo."
"What if I don't win?"
"Then we pay the referee to make you win." He jokes.
"Pedri!" You hit him in the arm. "No, amor. What really matters is for you to have fun, papi is just joking. We are not paying the referee."
"Vale, ve ahí y chuta." He says, putting him down and pushing him to go with his friends. (Go and score)
You find his parents and brother on the corner of the field. You sit with them, talking about what the expectations were for this game.
You really don't care if he wins or not, even tho a win would be amazing. You can say that he might have a very competitive gene on him. After all, Pedri can't help but want to win everything.
The game was slow, the first half was fun, but it wasn't really much to say about it. Pedri takes mental notes to help the team, calling your son over.
"Vale, do you see those kids?" He asks, turning your kid and pointing. "They are the guys that are supposed to defend, but they run with the rest. I want you to take the ball from that other kid and run as fast as you can to the goal and score."
"But if I fai-"
"If you do, then you do it again. Don't be negative about it. You have some of me in you, so I know you can do it."
He sends his kid back to his group. He knows that even if he loses, he's going to be the proudest father.
"Some of me in you." You chuckle at his statement. "He's all you, your smile, your eyes, your accent even."
"Aren't we both from the same place?" He asks, smiling. "But he has a lot of you. Your stubbornness, your crazy eye and that weird mark on your-"
"I hate you." You frown at him. "Not me saying cute things, and you saying I have a crazy eye." You say, pretending to be mad.
"Ah vale vale, we were supposed to say nice things." He lifts his hands. "Bua, I'm bad at lying." He teases you.
"That's it, you are in time out." You point at him. "Your punishment is to get me a snack over there."
Rosy is watching the two of you. She's happy that you two are finally taking over the role of parents instead of coparents.
She knows that she was out of line when she scolded Pedri about how he was, but she now sees that it was all worth it.
"Mira que si chuta y no le pega ya tendremos pa calentarlo." Fer says at you. "Maybe he's like you and Pedri when he loses, and he kicks mom's favorite flowerpot."
You remember the flowerpot. Pedri got subbed after what he called a bad performance. He was frustrated, and when you took him home, he kicked the flowerpot so hard it crashed over other plants.
Pedri arrives with your snack, passing his arm around you. "Can you believe he's old enough that we are at his football games and not the other way?"
"It's crazy," you say, feeling nostalgique. "Time does flies."
The second half starts, the game continues 0 - 0 to the dislike of everyone. You spend the rest of the game hoping for a change.
It was also about to end, only a minute or less on the clock that was placed on the grass.Pedri calls the name of your son, making signals to do what he was told. He nods, running to get the ball from the first kid.
You can't help the emotion, neither could the other parents. Yelling at your boy to run and to score.
"Chuta, joder!" Fer yells, making someone's mother correct his language.
The whole side of your team yells in happiness when the goals go in. You jump happy, hugging Rosy.
When you turn to where Pedri is, you feel two hands grabbing your cheeks. It was Pedri smashing his lips against yours.
You wrap your arms around him, too happy to care about the reactions of his parents and too into it to care that the game was over.
You two separate, smiling like crazy at each other. You go back for a peck, already missing his lips.
When your son runs to where you two are, Pedri let go of you, picking your son. He's telling him how proud he is and how happy he should be that he scored the winning goal.
You hug the two of them, giving your son a kiss on the cheek, telling him that he was amazing and that he was a champion just like his dad.
You look to Pedri, the look on his faces is not compared to anything. You haven't seen this, not even when he won everything that season.
"I love you so much." You say to your son. "I love you both so much." You smile at Pedri, getting closer to him, joining your lips in a kiss.
Gavi
Tumblr media
"Vale, mira." He says, pointing at the goal. "You need to kick the ball there."
He places the ball in front of her, checking that it was aligned to the small goal he has at home.
"Papi, I'm tired." She argues, tired of playing football.
"We will, but first kick the ball."
He picks her up from the grass. Placing her in front of the ball. His daughter looks back at him, turning and going back to the house.
"Ey ven acá. " He says, going after her. "Let's go, one more time, and we are over."
"I'm tired, papi." She repeats.
Pablo hears the doorbell, walking outside to open the door.
"Sorry I'm late, this took more time than it should." You say.
"Come in." He says, moving to the side. "Can you believe she can't score one single goal?" He asks, frowning. "She got your feet."
"Okay, that's rude." You say, giving him a hit on the head. "I told you she doesn't like football, Pablo."
He scuffs, walking inside. "Mami's here."
She runs to you, giving you a hug. "You are so red." You say, noticing her flushed face. "Papi is making you kick the ball?"
She nods, pouting at you. "I want to go swimming with Sebas." She says, making Pablo turn his head to where you are.
He wants to ask, especially since < Sebas > is not a girl name.
"Oh, Pablo. I have the papers you asked me to bring. Let me get them." You smile, walking back to your car.
Pablo took his chance, he walked up to his daughter. "Doll, who's sebas?"
"Mami's friend, he has a big pool." She smiles.
Pablo frowns, turning back to his backyard. "I have a pool." He points at the pool.
"Si, but he has a big unicorn on the pool." She smiles.
He frowns. "I can get you one, two if you want." He kneels in front of her. "You just have to promise me not to go swimming with him anymore, because if you do, the unicorns on papi's pool are going to be sad."
She nodded, excited about the flooties he promised.
"That's my girl." He smiles, walking outside with her. "Now, let's try kicking the ball one more time, yes?"
You watch them both play outside, leaving the papers on the counter. You take your phone to answer some texts.
You didn't have anything else planned for the evening, so you were fine with watching Gavi and your daughter play.
You walk outside, seating at one of the pool chairs he has. You can't help but laugh at how funny he looks frowning when your daughter missed the goal for the third time.
"You know what, let's get you some ice cream." He says, frustrated.
He walks with her in his arm. Telling her that maybe they can try practicing another day. He knows he's maybe a little bit too hard on her about the football thing.
He wants to have something more in common with her. She has a lot of things in common with you, and football might be the only thing he can share with her.
He knows that this past weeks his schedule was too busy, not allowing him to visit her or to do more than just FaceTime.
For him, it's important that when she is visiting. She's having fun and that she enjoys being there.
"Eat your ice cream, I have to talk to mami." He says, pressing play on the movie. He walks over to where you are, seating next to you. "Did you have fun today?"
You turn to him. "I mean, would you consider doing essay research fun?"
"Ni de coña." He frowns. "I want to ask you something."
You nod, leaving your phone and paying attention to him.
"Are you seeing anyone?"
You blink a few times, trying to process the question. "No?" You say, sounding more than a question. "Does it matter?"
"I just, she's saying that she loves going to this friend of yours because he has a pool, and I just." He pauses, not sure how to organize his words. "I don't want other dudes in her life. I don't want another dude teaching her how to swim or helping her with homework. I'm her dad."
"Well, Sebastian is my sister's boyfriend." You say, making him feel dumb. "And he is not teaching her how to swim or helping her with homework. I don't have anyone because I'm focusing on college and on her, but I'm not saying that if the opportunity comes I'll deny it just because you fear she might get help with her homework."
"It's not about the homework." He says. "I just don't want any other dude near my daughter."
"So I have to be alone just because you don't want her to have any male contact appart from you?"
"You don't need to have anybody, joder. I'm here for the two of you. If you want to be with someone, be with me."
You don't expect Gavi to be the one to say that. You and him haven't been together romantically since before the baby was even born.
Your sister always told you that it was pretty much dumb to have hopes to go back to a relationship with Gavi.
He was a footballer who had girls throwing themselves at him. He was one of the biggest footballers in Spain at the moment.
"Papi"
You feel like your daughter could read the desperation of your thoughts and how you can't figure out how to answer.
You follow Gavi with your eyes as he goes inside the house with your daughter. You take a few more minutes before going back inside.
"Pizza or burgers?" Gavi asks her.
"Me?" She asks, making him nod. "Pizza."
"You still like the half veggie half full meat with extra cheese?" He asks.
You smile. "I actually haven't had that in so long. The last time I had it was with you, actually."
You can't help but feel excitement, he wanted you to choose him. To be together and raise your daughter like a family.
You wish you could make your sister know what happened, like a broadcast thing where she's able to hear and see that Pablo was the one finally giving that step.
< "You think that Pablo and you can be a what?"
"Can you not laugh?"
"Y/n, why would you ever think a 17 year old boy would want to get serious with the girl he got pregnant?"
"I not saying that it has to be right now, but mayb-"
"Maybe in 10 years? When you notice you gave a big part of your youth to a boy who's never going to be more than just the father of your child?"
"I think that maybe someday we can be a family." >
Maybe this is your someday.
"Next week I'm going to be in Milan, but after that I was thinking maybe you can let me have her all day this sunday?"
"Sure, I can drop her." You smile, eating a slice of pizza. "Maybe 9?"
"That works. Escuchas princesa? Pasaremos todo el domingo juntos." (You hear that, princess? We are going to spend all Sunday together)
You can't help but feel butterflies on your stomach with him now saying that he can be the one for you.
Your mind works at a million percent the whole week, you can't help but feel like everything he does or says is a signal.
Your daughter insisted on speaking to him because she refused to go to bed without saying I love you to him.
"Vale, now you need to sleep." He says, turning the light on the nightstand off. "Look, even I'm going to sleep."
Gavi was in Milan, the team was coming back in the morning because they wanted to give the team the day in Milan before coming back.
You grab the phone from her hands, walking to the balcony so you won't bother her. "She's off, thank you."
You and Gavi have been talking at night for a couple of nights in a row. It was becoming something you were looking for at the end of the day.
"My mom was at my house the other day, and she almost killed me when she found out she still sleeps with me in my room."
"If you are giving her a room, please don't paint it with the barca colors."
"Que va, I wanted to ask you to help me decorate it. Maybe a bigger bed than those kids ones, so you can crash for the night."
You can feel your smile grow. "We can talk about it when you are back."
You say goodbye, hanging up the call. You can't seem to drop the smile you have. Nothing was going to make you doubt that this was going to the way you wanted.
You know that you should wait and test the waters, but you have waited three years. You'll be fine trusting.
When Sunday finally hit, you woke up earlier than normal. Got your child ready, letting her watch a movie while you got ready.
Since Pablo was going to spend the day with her, you thought it would be an amazing idea to join them.
You have this plan in your head that with you joining Pablo will notice that you are compromised with the idea of him being back in your life.
You got yourself ready, putting on some nice clothes, doing some makeup to enhance your features, and doing a little bit more than just brushing your hair.
"Vamos, amor." You call her, turning the tv off. "Papi is waiting."
The whole drive feels quick, you have the best mood. You sing with her in the car to some of her favorite songs, making it the best of it.
"Okay, don't forget your doll." You say, fixing her hair before walking to Gavi's house.
You let her knock on the door, she was also happy that she was going to swim with him. You waited for a few minutes, knocking again because maybe he didn't hear it the first time.
You were on the third time knocking when the door opened. You would have preferred to see a sleepy Gavi or maybe for him not to open the door.
You have to wait a few minutes before answering to her. The shirt she had on was the same one you picked for his past birthday, the same one your daughter gifted him.
"Where's Pablo?" You finally ask.
"Oh, he's inside." She smiles.
You fake a smile, knowing she's not the one at fault here. "Can you call him over? Please."
"Sure, wait here."
You nod, watching him get inside the house. "Hey, bubs." You say to your daughter. "Why don't you go to the car? Mami forgot that papi wanted me to take you for breakfast before coming here."
She nods, you open the car door for her. Telling her that you were only going to take a moment and you'll be back to her.
You turn, finding Gavi looking at you. "Seriously, Pablo?"
"Joder, perdona. I got caught up last, and she was supposed to leave before you dropped her." He explains, making things worse for himself. "She's leaving, I promise."
You roll your eyes, wanting to smack his head to bring some sense into him. It's crazy how he can be so childish in the worst moments.
"I'm not doing this." You say to him.
You should know better than to be disappointed. You should know better than to feel like this was your fault.
"I'm taking her for breakfast, I'll text you when we are done so you can pick her up at the restaurant. Please take a shower and change the sheets."
"Why can't you leave her?"
You scuffed, shaking your head at how stupid he sounds. You walk over to your car, not feeling like explaining the obvious to a boy.
"Pablo." You call him before entering your car. "I don't want you to ever mention that you are < here for me >, okay? You are her dad, and I love you for that, but whatever game you are playing, it's over."
Ferran
Tumblr media
"Why do teachers hold meetings so early?" He groans, reading the note his daughter gave him. "Why do I need to be at a 7:30 meeting with her kindergarten teacher?"
"Sucks to be you, huh?" You smirk. "It's not a meeting, you need to pick her report card."
He doesn't argue anymore. Knowing that no matter what he says, he's not winning.
"Oye, venga, why does Mister Puffy get more tea than me?"
"You ate Mister Puffy's cake."
"Pero hombre, he offered it to me."
You shake your head at them, enjoying how Ferran argues with the bear about eating the imaginary cake.
You grab your wallet and Ferran car keys. Walking to where they are, he looks comical.
The chair he's using looks like it's about to lose the fight. The tiara on his head matches the tutu on his hips.
"Do you want anything from the store?" You ask him, fixing the tiara.
"Maybe some carrots and some celery, please." He says, hand on his pockets to get his card. "Amore, do you want anything?"
"Juice." She smiles. "Pwease."
You nod, giving her a kiss on the cheek. "I'll be back with dinner, love."
You fix her tiara, moving some of the hairs away from her face. If you love something about being a mom, it's being a girl mom.
"Can I get a kiss?" Ferran asks, trying his luck.
You turn to him, getting closer and grabbing his chin, knowing that if you let him, he'll get advantage of the situation.
You place a kiss on his cheek. You can't lie that you want more, but for now, it's all he gets.
"I'll be back. Don't burn the house." You smile, getting up. "No cookies or snacks while I'm gone. It's about to be dinner time." You warn him.
While you are gone, Ferran keeps playing to the tea party. He even got Mister Puffy to be unnivited after he drank all the tea.
He can't lie that he feels happy. You agreed to move to the house he bought you, being much closer to where he is, even agreeing to let him stay.
He got a three bedroom house, thinking that you would agree to let him stay on the spare bedroom you got.
But no, the couch he picked himself was his own torture. You purposely left the spare room not ready, wanting him to suffer a little bit more.
He wasn't going to complain. The fact that you even let him stay after bedtime was enough for him. The physio can help with the back pain later.
"Papi, I'm hungry."
"Well, me too." He chuckles, making the little girl frown at him. "You look a lot like your mami when you do that."
Thankfully for them, you walk back carrying a supermarket bag and a bag from the Chinese Restaurant you know Ferran loves.
He gets up to help you with the bags, using the opportunity to steal a kiss from you.
"That's rude." You say, moving away tying to hide the blush. "Let's go wash our hands, princesa."
You like having Ferran around more than he used to. Thanks to the small distance, he can spend more time with you two.
After dinner, he took care of getting your daughter ready for bed while you organized the pantry and clean the kitchen.
When you are done, you walk upstairs, finding Ferran reading some princess story. You knock on the door, catching his attention.
"Your blanket and pillow are ready downstairs. Also, if you need towels, they are in her bathroom if you want to take a shower."
He rolls his eyes, "You hate me, that couch is killing me."
"Try to sleep early, we need to be on time tomorrow." You smile, moving to your room.
After making sure your daughter was asleep, he went to the bathroom to take the glitter off. He changes into his clean pijama you place in the bathroom for him to change.
As much as he tries, he can't sleep on that couch. The size was a problem, the roughness of it, the cushion was to stiff.
The other problem was that if he wanted to join his daughter. The small bed wasn't much of a better option, yes it was more comfortable but not big enough for two people.
He grabs his pillow and blanket, moving upstairs to your room. He opens the door carefully, trying not to be loud.
He moves you a little to wake you up. "Five more minutes." You mumble, turning to the other side. He tries one more time, tapping on your shoulder. "What?" You ask, opening only one eye.
He can't help but laugh. "Can I sleep here?" He says with the biggest puppy eyes. "The couch is killing me."
You are too sleepy to care. Nodding and moving to the side to let him into the bed.
He knows he might get kicked out, but it's worth the try. Joining you in bed and wrapping his arms around your body.
You don't argue, feeling the warmth of his body comforting, or maybe it's his lips kissing your shoulder what's relaxing.
"Can we skip tomorrow?" He whispers in your ear.
"No." You whisper back, hearing him curse under his breath. You smile at that, enjoying the warmth you need from him.
You can't lie that he wasn't exaggerating when he used to mention that you were the reason he didn't felt like leaving the bed.
All those times he told you to give him more minutes before training is now turned to you. When you begged him to give you five more minutes, grabbing onto him to make him stay in place.
Now you are suffering from the consequences by being a few minutes later than you should.
"You are here!" You boss and friend say. "I thought you called sick. We had three people doing it."
"Oh no, I was-"
"I don't care, it's you, and I forgive you." She smiles. "Can you take care of the three year olds? I know that's where your daughter is, but I swear I can't stand the blonde mom that's there."
"Will do. Do you want me to just do it in general or one by one."
"Whatever is fine, did Mister ball came?"
You pointer towards the lined up parents. Ferran was holding your daughter while checking his phone.
She gives you a look, making you laugh as you walk into the class. You decide to call one by one.
It wasn't that long, all you have to say was, < Oh, your kid is such angel. Here's a golden star for them >
Ferran was the last one, you know that he was doing that to tease you. When he gets there with that big smirk on his face you can't help but smile.
"Señor Torres," you say, grabbing the report card. "Nice to see you here."
"Oh, my pleasure."
"Well, she's been doing her work in class, she's attentive, she's a hard worker. Wonder who she got that from."
You expect him to pull this praise speech on how she's so like him. "She's like her mom. She's the smartest, nicest, most beautiful woman I've ever met in my life. If I can say something about her is that I'm proud our daughter is like her."
You know that it might not be the place, but you don't care. You grab his face, giving him a kiss.
"Let me take this to the principal, and we can go." You smile at him.
You grab the few report cards that were there. Giving it to your friend and telling her that there was nothing else for you.
She was okay with you leaving, as soon as there were no more parents in the area where you should be, there's no need for you to stay.
"Okay, I'm free." You say, joining them in the entrance. "What if we go for some breakfast and maybe later we can go to the store, I need some boxes."
Ferran grabs your hand, confused frown on his face. "Boxes?" He asks.
You nod. "Yes, I need them to pack the toys and everything." You explain, opening the car door for him to place your daughter on the car seat.
"Why do you want to pack them?" He asks, buckling the girl. "Where are you putting them?"
You smile at him, sometimes you wonder how he's that mindful on the field. "That way I can bring them home to you."

"Papa."
Fermin looked up from his seat, he was entertaining his son with painting. "Wow, that's beautiful."
You had this very important project that needed your full attention. Having no other option but to ask Fermin to help you while you finish it.
It was the last project you had of the semester. After this, it was going to be easier for you to concentrate on your child.
It's been two weeks, and you are finally about to finish it. After all the stressful nights and stressful times you put Fermin through.
He was happy to help, even offering to move to his house while you worked on the project. It was easier for him to return from training and pay full attention to his son.
"Want to see mine?" He asks his son. "Mine has a son on the corner." He points to the smiling sun.
He knows he's not the best at entertaining babies. That's why when he's out of ideas, he calls his mom.
His mother makes a plan for them to do, a walk on the beach of Barcelona, a nice evening at the park, swimming in the pool.
You don't worry about what they are doing, you know that your son is secure. You trusted Fermin with any activity.
"Why don't we get you cleaned." He smiles, picking him up. "Then we can take a nap, cause honestly I need one."
"Mama"
"No, amor. Mami is busy right now, and the soonest we leave her alone is the soonest it takes to finish her work."
You hear how Fermin says this to your son. You decided to take a break, a much needed break.
"Hola, guapos." You say, hugging Fermin's back. "I missed you."
"We missed you too, mami."
"I heard you talking about a nap," you smile, pinching your son's cheek. "Can I join?"
Fermin turns, giving your head a kiss. "That sounds like a plan."
You love how Fermin gets to take care of everything. Even when the plans changed in the last minute.
He never argued about it, he just supported you.
You all moved upstairs, ready to take a well-deserved nap you all were craving. Fermin, and you don't share a room, he wanted to give you your space.
But for special occasions like this one, you all share a bed to be more comfortable. That also felt right to you.
You can't lie that these past weeks you felt the luckiest person. Not only was he helping you to an extent not every father feels like doing.
But he's also the type of guy to take you food to the room where you are studying, he takes you coffee, tea, a snack, dinner.
You worked better when he was home because he would make his mission to entertain his son to the point you have enough time to work and to even take a quick break before taking over.
When you get to present your project, you feel nervous because what if it was wrong? You don't want to disappoint everybody.
Fermin texted you a picture of your son and him, wishing you all the best. "We trust you, mami. No matter what, you are our star."
You feel the confidence taki g over you again. You know that no matter what, like his texts read, he was going to be there for you.
You walk home, bag on your arm. You can't wait to take the heels off and to put something more comfortable.
"Hey!" He calls from the kitchen. "We are eating our snack, want some?"
"I was thinking that maybe we can go out later." You say, walking to where he is.
"You okay?" He asks, worried about your blank expression.
You shake your head, trying so hard to hide your smile. "More than okay, I'm fantastic. The professor loved my project so much."
Fermin smiles, getting closer to you. "I'm so proud of you. We both are." He says, giving your cheek a kiss. "You hear that, buddy? Mami got her project approved."
"So, do you want to go out to celebrate?"
"Joder, I more than anything want to."
You both finish with the snack, moving to your rooms to change into something more appropriate for the evening.
You kept it casual formal, nothing too fancy but nothing too casual. It was the perfect middle.
Fermin got a call from his mother, trying to check on him and the baby. She knows sometimes he oversleep, so she's making sure they're awake.
When she hears the news about your project, she gets happy. She likes you a lot and she's always happy about your achievements.
"Okay, talk to you later, kiddos." She says, waving at the camera. "Love you, have fun."
You wave her back, moving one arm of your kid to say goodbye too. You love the small laughs that come out of him.
You order some food, talking about his day. What's next for him in the season, what's next for the next season, everything basically.
"I was wondering something." He says, leaving the fork and knife. "I know that this project is over and that maybe you want to go back to having your own place."
You nod, not because you agree but to show him that you were paying attention. You can't lie that being together was fun.
"I want you to move permanently to my house." He drops the bomb.
"Are you sure?" You ask, scared that maybe he's just used to having you and not because he really thought about it.
"More than sure, I know that I want to have you both with me at all times." He smiles, grabbing your hand. "I also want to ask you something."
"Tell me, you know you can tell me anything." You smile, thumb caressing his hand.
"I want us to try being together. I love you and our son. We are young, yes, but I know that if we both want to, we can do this."
You smile, moving your hand from his. You close the distance between you two, giving him a kiss as an answer.
"I want that, Fer." You smile. "I love you."
"And I love you, guys."

I love Stuck with You. Could you write more headcanons for Kika and reader, please? Love your writing
Tumblr media
a/n: playing around and experimenting with writing in simple present. Also, this is a scheduled post. It's my first time doing it, I don't know if it's gonna work, but if it does, I'm probably studying.
..
On the bus
- Kika loves sitting with the younger girls on the way to games–playing stupid games, filming TikToks, being loud and messy and chaotic. It might not seem likely, because she’s so shy, but she lives for it.
- Y/n, on the other hand…hates it! She wants to be locked in, focused, not surrounded by teenagers doing TikTok dances, even if, yeah, most girls were over twenty years old.
- So they compromise.
- Kika always saves Y/N a seat just in case she decides to sit with the chaos with them–even if she knows Y/N will pretend to be annoyed about it.
- The girls tease them relentlessly when Y/N slumps into the seat next to Kika, like, “Don’t make a big deal out of this.” A frown on her face, as always.
- When Y/N sits in her usual quiet spot, Kika will sometimes sneak back there mid-ride with a snack from the back of the bus, holding to the seat so she won’t fall from the movement.
- No words, just hands her something and curls up next to her like it’s the most normal thing.
- Kika can easily show affection, something that Y/n struggles with a lot.
- Y/N’s phone is full of videos she didn’t know Kika was filming–her trying not to smile, blinking through glitter filter selfies, or rolling her eyes at the girls while clearly not hating it.
- One time, Y/N snapped and told the girls to shut up, that they were being way too loud, and Kika made a little fake sad face at her from across the aisle.
- Y/N immediately caved and mumbled, “Not you, you're fine.”
- On long rides, Kika traces shapes on Y/N’s thigh while they listen to music. Y/N pretends it’s annoying but never tells her to stop.
- Sometimes Y/n sits in the chaos, reluctantly filming a TikTok with a permanent frown on her face.
- Other times, Kika sits beside her and rests her head on Y/n’s shoulder. They share one earbud in silence. They compromise!
- The team once tried to assign bus seats randomly, and Y/N deadpan said, “No.” Just that. One word. They didn’t try it again.
- Y/n has her spot away from the chaos–Jana, Vicky, Salma and Kika– and she loves it
Clothes
- Kika steals Y/n’s hoodies all. the. time.
- Kika’s go-to excuse is always “I forgot I was wearing it!” As if Y/N’s giant Barca hoodie somehow accidentally ends up in her overnight bag every single time.
-  One cold day, she shows up at Y/n’s place looking for one and realises the closet is empty.
- She’s like, “Where are all your hoodies?”
- And Y/n, dead serious, goes, “Babes… they’re all at your house.”
- Kika immediately feels so guilty–she left her girl without a single hoodie in the middle of Spanish winter.
- Y/N starts taking inventory. She’ll walk into Kika’s place, open her closet, and be like, “One, two, three–are you serious, this one’s from preseason.”
- One time, Kika came to training wearing one of Y/N’s hoodies that still smelled like her, and the other girls wouldn’t stop teasing her for it. Kika was red for hours.
- Y/N pretends she’s annoyed, but the second Kika curls up next to her wearing one, she just kind of melts. Her internal monologue is filled with–disgusting–love.
- “She’s so small. and warm. In my clothes. This is not sustainable. I will die of love.”
- Eventually, Kika starts wearing Y/N’s old team-issued hoodie at post-match interviews.
- Y/N sees a photo on Twitter and just stares at it like she’s been personally attacked.
- She liked it, thought, seeing her name on Kika’s back.
..
Feedback is very very much appreciated and needed!!

Worth It? Or Not? (Alexia Putellas x Reader)
Tumblr media
Hi guys! It's been too long. Please enjoy this long ramble that slightly resembles writing 😂. I have a few more things written and I am trying to finish Chica for you all. Happy weekend.
It was a new season, and you were so ready for what it was going to throw at you. The last season you participated in had been your best yet you think, although that was most likely due to the fact that it was your first with your girlfriend. You and Alexia had been dancing around your feeling for each other for a few years and in the off-season last year the older woman had finally asked you out. By the time the season just gone had started you were already official, and it had made last year that much more special. You got to share your achievements with the one you loved and that really was wonderful.
Now for a new season and possibly a new step for your relationship with Alexia, she had been hinting at moving in together for the last few weeks. Little off hand comments like “That would look nice in a master bedroom.” And “I wonder if we would have a feature wall if we had our own living space.” You thought it was about time you started hinting back. You needed to be sure it was something she actually wanted before you out right asked her if she was ready to move in together.
You were currently waiting for Aitana to pick you up, Alexia had to be in earlier than everyone else this morning for a meeting and so you had slept separately, at your own apartments last night. This was the first time in weeks that you could remember not sharing a bed with the older woman. She said she didn’t want to wake you as early as she needed to be up and after trying to argue with her for 10 minutes you had given up, she just wasn’t getting that you would happily wake up early if it meant spending the extra time with her.
“So why do I have to come get your whipped ass? Where’s the wifey?” You rolled your eyes at the woman as you climbed into the passenger seat of her car. Aitana had been one of the first people you had talked to about your crush on Alexia and now the slightly younger woman took every opportunity she could to tease you about your obvious love for the team captain.
“I’m telling her you called her that, but in answer to your poorly asked question, she had an early meeting and didn’t want to wake me up at the early time she had to be up.” You shrugged your shoulders in a gesture you knew was for your benefit not hers, you had been up half the night letting your anxiety get the best of you.
“It’s Alexia, you know her, she is probably just nervous for the new season and how the new signings will fit in.” You knew that Aitana was most likely right but you also couldn’t shake the creeping feeling that she was already getting bored of being with you. You knew you shouldn’t let these thoughts get the better of you but that was easier to say than actually do, it wasn’t that you doubted Alexia at all, it was more your growing anxiety over your own worth in your head. In fact you knew it was you and your head and that just made it even more frustrating, it was another thing that made you question yourself.
“Yeah, you are probably right, she has been feeling the captain pressure a lot over the last week or so. She has been watching tapes of the new girls and talking a lot with the staff after weights. Sometimes I wish she would just switch off from work and be a little more present with me, but she’s Alexia queen of Barca. She puts 110% into this club and that’s what I signed up for happily.”
After that the conversation switched to a lighter topic and by the time you pulled up at the training ground you were feeling a lot lighter and laughing with one of your best friends. Any thoughts of Alexia not wanting you any more were long gone and all you wanted to do now was get your cleats on. Football would always be a great escape for you, it was like your mind could relax whilst you had a ball at your feet.
After getting ready in the changing room, without the appearance of your love, you headed out with the rest of the girls to find Alexia in the middle of the field with another woman you didn’t recognise. Your attention was pulled from them when Pere spoke, “Okay ladies, we have a new signing starting with us today. Alexia has been getting to know her a little bit so it’s easier for her to settle in. Please be welcoming.” You all nodded your heads in agreement and followed him over to the two women.
“Hi it’s nice to meet you all, I’m Chloe.” You could tell the woman was nervous and so could Alexia as she moved everyone onto warm-ups rather quickly. Over the course of the session everyone introduced themselves to the new girl individually so that she felt as comfortable as possible.
You had just got out of the shower and was putting the last items in your bag when Alexia approached you for the first time today. “Hola, can I ask you for a favour por favor?” You could tell she was sort of in a hurry by the lack of affection she gave you. You would normally at least get a peck to the cheek, but she barely even got close enough to you for you to hear her properly.
“Si of course.” You would do anything for the woman in front of you and everyone knew it.
“I’m taking Chloe out to see the city so she knows her way around a bit better, but I didn’t get to walk Nala this morning. Can you run round mine and do it for me? I asked Alba but she is working.” There was a lot to pick out of that passage of one-sided conversation. First you were hurt that she had gone to Alba first when Nala was like your own dog too. Second, she must have forgotten your lunch plans with Claudia and Patri that had been made a while back and you knew was on her calendar as you put it there. Something you decided not to bring up, she was just trying to help the new girl settle in you understood that.
“Yes of course. Do you want me to make dinner tonight?” You thought at least you could have some time with her that evening being as you’ve barely interacted all day.
“I won’t be back for dinner, I told Chloe I would help her sort her apartment out after showing her the sights. I don’t know what time I’ll be back y/n so maybe we should sleep in our own apartments again tonight.” You really didn’t know what to say to this, so you just nodded. You got a lot of the women’s time, so you didn’t think it was fair for you to be upset over a couple days, especially not when she was just trying to help someone out.
“Okay, I’ll see you at training tomorrow then.” You turned round and walked out of training with a slight weight on your chest and your mind running with thoughts you wish you didn’t have.
After you walked Nala and dropped her back into Alexia’s apartment, an apartment that started to feel like your own until the last 24 hours. Part of you knew this was silly to think but you couldn’t help it, you are always an overthinker and this was something that you struggled with. You didn’t even take the time to make sure Nala was settled you just open the door let her in, checked her water bowl was full and left again. Being there just felt wrong today. Deciding that your mood was really not good enough to go out and have a lunch with your two friends you texted Patri to cancel, and after assuring her you were okay just a little extra tired today, she wished you a good evening and said she would pick you up for training if you needed the next morning.
An offer you ended up taking when your texts to Alexia the next morning went unanswered. You were tired and starting to get a little annoyed with the older woman, you were trying to reason as to why she wasn’t replying to your texts and even when she did it was so spaced out it felt like she didn’t care or want to talk to you. You were trying to change that thought process, but it was hard when that’s where your mind had gone.
“Hola, you don’t look so good. Should you be coming to training.” Patri’s concerned voice almost sent you into a wave of sobs, but you held it together, your thoughts were stupid so you know you couldn’t show you were sad. You didn’t want Patri to think you were an idiot for the way you were feeling about your current situation, if it was even a situation.
“I’m just tired Pats, I’ve not slept well the last few nights and I think its just caught up to me a bit today.” You sighed in relief when she didn’t push you any further just gave you a once over and then pulled away from the outside of your apartment complex.
You were hoping the journey to training would help your mood and thoughts, but it didn’t much. Patri tried her best to cheer you up and you really appreciated the younger woman’s efforts, but you were struggling. You made your way into the changing room behind your best friend and didn’t both to look up as you made your way to your cubby. You placed your stuff down and changed into your boots, leaving the changing room straight after as the first out.
You decided some air and keepy ups might help sort your head out before training. Pere and the staff were out setting up when you went to ask for a ball, they gladly gave you one and you headed to the far end of the field to have your space. The sun beating down on you felt good and a ball at your feet always helped.
Your peace was short lived as you heard the chatter of the rest of the girls and Pere calling you all in. You grabbed your ball and headed over, looking at the group for the first time. What you saw hurt your heart more than you would say to anyone, Alexia was stood near Pere like normal. That obviously wasn’t the upsetting part, the upsetting part was that Chloe was pretty much pressed against Ale. You tried not to look too long or think too much but you struggled. You really struggled.
Training started and your thoughts just kept going. You couldn’t concentrate, you couldn’t pass right, your touches were off and none of the shots you took even went close to the goal. By the end of the first half of training everyone could tell something wasn’t okay with you, so much so that Pere called you over in the drinks break.
“What’s up today? This is very unlike you. If your sick you should have just let us know I don’t want to see you get injured if you are pushing yourself too much and then end up being out for longer than you need to be. Health is important y/n.” The way he said it wasn’t scolding which you were thankful for, you were slightly worried that he would be annoyed with you for your performance.
“I’m sorry coach. I’m not feeling my best today, I thought I’d be okay to train but I think maybe I was wrong.” You wouldn’t normally miss training unless really necessary, but you were too far gone mentally and staying here wasn’t what you needed right now.
“That’s okay some days we just need the break and to rest. Go home and we will see you hopefully tomorrow. Please pop and see the medical staff on the way out to check in with them.” With that he patted your shoulder and went back to call the team back to training.
As you walked past the group Patri caught your eye and gave you the are you okay look. You waved her off with a half-smile and continued to the changing rooms. You decided that a shower at home would be the best for you and so just changed your shoes, grabbed your stuff and headed to the medical room.
They just did some basic checks on your temperature and blood pressure before sending you off with the promise to come in first thing tomorrow if you were planning on training just to have another check before you did.
You half expected Alexia to be waiting for you outside the medical room when you walked out but she wasn’t. You walked out of the grounds to remember that you got a lift, you were just about to walk home when your name was called. For a second your body warmed thinking it was who you really wanted it to be before your shoulders slump slightly. You knew that was Patri.
“I’ll drive you home come on.” You didn’t argue you just hopped in the passenger seat. You were quiet the whole way back to your place, the only words you said to the younger woman was thank you when you got out the car.
You took your shower turning the water to as hot as you could handle. Going for comfort after that you changed into your (Alexias) comfiest hoodie and a pair of tracksuits that you really weren’t sure whose they were. You settled yourself onto your sofa and turned on a random old show you didn’t need to concentrate on.
You have no idea when you fell asleep, but you must have at some point because you were blinking yourself awake in the now pitch blackness of your living space. The only light you had was coming from your phone on the table that you now realised was ringing and must have been the reason you were currently waking up.
You reached over to grab it off the table to see who it was, glancing at the screen you were faced with your favourite photo you had ever taken. Ale had this smile that reached her eyes as she stared at you through the camera, it was taken last month when you were on vacation before the season was due to start.
You were stuck in a sort of daze so you didn’t answer the call, after it rang off you were faced with 5 miss calls from the woman. You noticed the time, you had missed lunch and dinner. You almost missed bedtime if you were being truthful to yourself, so you got up off the sofa and turned the tv off. You grabbed your phone again and headed to your bathroom to clean your teeth and get into your pjs. Once in bed you called Alexia back, who picked up after a couple rings.
“Y/n where did you go? Why did you miss training?” Her words were rushed as soon as she answered, which you felt a little bad about as she had been trying to get hold of you for a while now.
You took a deep breath, trying to organize your thoughts before answering Alexia’s question. You could hear the concern in her voice, which only made your heart ache more. It wasn’t anger or frustration—it was genuine worry. And yet, the events of the past couple of days had left you feeling vulnerable and disconnected.
“I wasn’t feeling well,” you started quietly, not wanting your voice to crack. “Pere told me to go home, and I guess I just needed some time to rest. I’m sorry I didn’t answer your calls before I fell asleep on the sofa.”
There was a pause on the other end of the line. You could hear Alexia shifting slightly, probably trying to figure out the right words. She was good at taking a moment to make sure she said the correct thing, that she said everything she wanted and in a way that would be understood for what it was.
“I would’ve come with you if I knew,” she said softly. “Why didn’t you talk to me? Or at least text me when you got home?”
“I did try to talk to you,” you replied, a bit sharper than you intended. You quickly softened your tone before continuing. “I was going to tell you before I left the training grounds but when I went to go over, I saw you were in a conversation with Chloe and I didn’t want to interrupt. I know what making her feel welcome into the team means to you so I just left, Patri dropped me home.”
Alexia was silent again, and you hated that your mind immediately went back to the image of Chloe standing so close to her earlier. You knew it was unreasonable to feel threatened, but the distance you’d been feeling from Alexia over the last couple of days was making everything worse. You knew Alexia and you knew that if she was even thinking about someone else in the way she thought about you, she would end things. It was a conversation the both of you had had very early in the relationship, it was better to say and end things than cause more heartache with something like cheating.
“You’re right,” she finally said. “I’ve been caught up with the new signings, especially Chloe. I wanted to help her settle in, but I didn’t realize I was neglecting you in the process.”
You felt a lump forming in your throat as you listened to her. The fact that she acknowledged it made you feel a bit better, but it didn’t completely erase the weight that had been sitting on your chest. It still has happened.
“I get it, Ale. You’re the captain, and you’ve got responsibilities, but…” You trailed off, not sure how to express what you were feeling without coming across as needy or insecure.
“But what?” she asked gently, encouraging you to keep going.
“I just… I don’t know. It feels like we haven’t really been us these past few days. Like we’re slipping apart, and I don’t want that.”
Alexia sighed softly, and you could almost picture her rubbing the back of her neck the way she always did when she was thinking hard about something.
“I don’t want that either,” she said after a moment. “I’m sorry, really. I’ve been so focused on the new season and everything happening with the team that I haven’t been present with you. That’s not fair.”
Tears stung your eyes at her words. You hated that you had been feeling so anxious and unsure about where you stood with her. The logical part of your brain knew that Alexia loved you deeply, but sometimes, your emotions got the better of you.
“I just miss you,” you whispered, finally letting a bit of the hurt spill out.
“I miss you too,” she replied, her voice soft but firm. “I promise, when I get back, we’ll spend some real time together. Just the two of us.”
You wanted to believe her, to hold onto the comfort her words should have brought you, but as you lay there, phone pressed to your ear, something still felt off. The doubts that had been swirling in your mind all day didn’t vanish—they just simmered beneath the surface, waiting for another moment to creep back in. You tried to smile, to let her words sink in, but it felt hollow.
"Okay," you whispered, your voice weaker than you intended. There was a pause on the line, and for a second, you wondered if she could hear the uncertainty that was sitting heavy on your chest.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, okay? Get some rest. I love you,” Alexia said, her tone soft but distant, and somehow it made you feel even worse.
“I love you too, Ale,” you replied automatically, though the words felt like they got caught in your throat. You wanted to believe them, wanted to believe her. But as you hung up the phone, the heavy silence in your room returned, and with it, the creeping feeling that maybe things weren’t as solid as you hoped.
You curled up under the covers, pulling them tighter around you, but instead of the calm you craved, a lingering unease settled deep in your chest. The conversation hadn’t been enough to ease your mind, and the distance between you two felt more real than ever. Alexia cared, you knew that, but it didn’t stop the doubts from pulling you under.
As much as you tried to push it aside, the little voice in your head that had been whispering insecurities all day grew louder. What if she’s getting tired of me? What if this distance between us is because she doesn’t want to be with me anymore? The more you thought about it, the more it felt like Alexia was slipping away, even though she’d just promised to spend more time with you. The doubts began to swirl again, faster now, and the pit in your stomach deepened.
Sure, Alexia had apologized, but what if it wasn’t just about her being busy with the new signings? What if she was using that as an excuse? You started picking apart every little detail from the past few days—how she barely interacted with you this morning, how she chose to spend time with Chloe instead of you, how easily she’d forgotten your plans for lunch with Patri and Claudia. Maybe she wasn’t as invested in the relationship anymore. Maybe she was realizing that being with you wasn’t what she wanted.
You buried your face in your pillow, fighting the creeping sense of rejection. No, this is just the anxiety talking. She loves you. She said she loves you, you reminded yourself, but it felt like a hollow reassurance. Even as you repeated it, the lingering doubt wouldn’t leave you. You wanted so badly to believe her words, to take them at face value, but the overthinking was louder than reason right now.
The phone in your hand vibrated again, pulling you out of your spiral for a moment. Alexia had sent you a text: I really don’t like how we left things. Can I come over? I’ll bring dinner. We can talk.
Your heart skipped at the message. On one hand, you wanted her here. You wanted her arms around you, her presence to quiet the storm in your mind. But on the other hand, you felt like having her here would only make your insecurities worse. What if she could see right through you? What if she could tell that you weren’t okay, that you doubted her? What if she was already tired of dealing with your anxieties, your overthinking?
Before you could stop yourself, you typed back: I think it’s better if I stay alone tonight. I might be getting sick, and I don’t want to give you anything. You’ve got enough on your plate with the new season and all.
You stared at the message, second-guessing every word. It wasn’t entirely a lie—you did feel off, emotionally and physically, but that wasn’t the real reason you didn’t want her to come over. You were scared. Scared that spending time with her would only confirm the worst of your fears. That she was growing tired of you, tired of your relationship.
After a few moments, your phone buzzed again with Alexia’s response: Are you sure? I can bring soup or tea, whatever you need. I don’t mind at all.
Her willingness to drop everything and come over only made you feel worse. How could you doubt someone who was so thoughtful, so caring? But the voice in your head persisted—what if she was just doing this out of obligation? What if she felt guilty? It wasn’t long before you convinced yourself that Alexia was only offering out of a sense of duty, not because she actually wanted to be with you tonight.
Yeah, I’m sure. You replied, forcing yourself to hit send before you could change your mind. I’ll be fine. Just need some rest.
You stared at your phone, waiting for her response, hoping she would fight harder to come over, hoping she would insist. But her next message came quickly, and it felt like a punch to the gut. Okay, rest up. Let me know if you need anything, cariño. I’ll see you tomorrow at training.
Simple. Kind. But it wasn’t the push you had been hoping for. She wasn’t coming over. Maybe she was relieved, you thought bitterly. Maybe she didn’t actually want to spend time with you after all. You hated that your mind kept going there, but the doubts kept clawing at you, relentless and cruel.
Curling up tighter in your bed, you told yourself that some space was good. Maybe tomorrow would be better, maybe by then, you’d feel less overwhelmed, and Alexia would feel closer again. But as you lay there, staring at the ceiling in the dark, the weight of your insecurities was heavier than ever. You didn’t want to lose her, but right now, it felt like that’s exactly what was happening, and there was nothing you could do to stop it.
you need anything. I love you. Get some good sleep, okay?
You read the message over and over, feeling a strange mix of relief and disappointment. Relief, because Alexia wasn’t pushing you to talk when you didn’t feel ready. Disappointment, because a part of you had hoped she would sense your need for more; more reassurance, more connection, more confirmation that everything between you two was still okay. But she didn’t press further, and that left you with an emptiness that was hard to shake. Part of you knew that was silly, she had texted after your call and that should have helped but it just left you with a half full feeling. Like you were only worth that small extra effort.
As you lay there, your mind kept spiralling. You wanted to believe that this was just a rough patch, a phase, something that would pass after the season got into full swing. But the fear that something had shifted between you and Alexia lingered. You tried to push it away, to focus on the fact that she had said she loved you, that she was willing to drop everything for you. But the overthinking kept creeping back, whispering that maybe this was the beginning of the end.
You closed your eyes, pulling the blankets tighter around you, willing yourself to sleep. But even as exhaustion tugged at your body, your mind wouldn’t let go of the nagging doubts. You kept replaying the last few days in your head, every moment where Alexia had seemed distant, every conversation that had felt stilted or rushed. You hated how insecure it made you feel, but you couldn’t help it.
Alexia sits on the edge of her bed, staring at her phone, fingers hovering over the screen. She wants to call you, wants to check in, but hesitates. There’s a lump in her throat, a weight in her chest that won’t shift. You’d asked her for space, asked her not to hover, and she’s been trying, really trying, to respect that. But it’s hard. It’s so damn hard. It feels wrong to stay away, especially when she knows you’re not feeling well.
She runs a hand through her hair, frustrated with herself. She’s been distant lately and she understands that she’s not been around as much as she should have. Training, media obligations, new signings, everything’s been pulling her in different directions, and now, when you need her the most, she’s afraid she’s failing you. Alexia’s not used to feeling this way, like she’s not enough. But here she is, second-guessing everything and wondering why she let it get to this point.
What if you don’t even want her around anymore?
The thought hits her harder than she expects, and she feels a pang of guilt. You deserve someone better, someone who can be there, be present, and she’s been anything but lately. And now, with you sick, the fear creeps in even more. She worries that her attempts to give you space that you asked for might just be making things worse, that you might feel abandoned, even if that’s the last thing she ever wanted.
She presses her palms against her knees, trying to calm the whirlwind in her mind. The idea that she might not be enough, that she might not be the perfect girlfriend you deserve, gnaws at her. She’s scared she’s messing this up, that every move she makes might be the wrong one.
What if she’s not what you need right now? What if she’s been too caught up in her own world, too wrapped up in everything else to see what’s really going on with you?
Her phone buzzes, and for a moment, she thinks about texting you. But what would she even say? She feels torn, pulled between wanting to rush to your side and the fear that doing so would push you away.
She exhales sharply, setting the phone down, her hands now trembling slightly. She loves you, that much is very clear to her. But loving you and being there for you the way you deserve; it feels like two different things right now. She’s scared of being inadequate, of not living up to what you need.
In her heart, she wants to be the perfect girlfriend for you, the one who knows how to navigate all this with ease. Wants to know what you need without you having to say, wants to show you that there isn’t anyone better for you than her. But she’s scared, scared that she’s already failed.
That night, Alexia drives to your place. The streets are quiet, dimly lit by the occasional streetlamp, and the familiar route feels strange tonight, like she’s seeing it through a different lens. Her heart races the closer she gets, hands gripping the steering wheel tighter than usual.
When she finally pulls up outside, she kills the engine but doesn’t move. The silence in the car feels thick, almost oppressive, like it's pressing down on her chest. She knows she should get out, knock on your door, and just be there for you. It’s why she came, after all. But something keeps her glued to the driver’s seat, eyes fixed on the dashboard, mind spinning with uncertainty.
What if you don’t want her here?
She takes a deep breath and glances up at your window. The lights are off, maybe you’re already asleep, maybe you’ve had a long day. Her mind starts to drift even further. Maybe she’s too late. But even if you're still awake, there’s that nagging voice in her head that tells her she’s crossing a line, that you’d rather be alone. That she should have done this a few days ago not now, not when you asked her to stay away.
I shouldn’t have come.
She exhales, her fingers fidgeting with the edge of her jacket. Every part of her wants to be close to you, to show up the way she should have sooner. She even reaches for the door handle, her heart pounding as she tells herself, Just get out, Ale. Just go inside and talk to her. Be there for her.
But her grip on the handle loosens, and she pulls her hand back.
What if showing up makes things worse? What if you’re still upset, still needing space, and all she does by being here is prove that she can’t respect that?
She closes her eyes for a moment, willing the doubts away, but they only get louder. She’s scared, scared that you’ll see right through her. Scared that, no matter how hard she tries, she’s already failed you.
With a frustrated sigh, she pushes the door open and steps out of the car. The night air hits her, cool and crisp, and she stands there, staring at your front door. Her feet move her a few steps closer, but then she stops, frozen halfway across the street. To any passerby she would look slightly crazy, standing in the middle of the street, car door open behind her and staring at a closed door. But alexia didn’t care, she couldn’t think about anything else other than you.
She could knock, could tell you everything that’s been going through her head, but what if it’s too much? What if it’s too soon?
Alexia takes a deep breath and steps back, retreating to the safety of her car. She sits there, hands resting on the wheel again, feeling like a coward. But the thought of doing the wrong thing, of making things harder for you, keeps her from getting back out the car.
Tomorrow, she thinks. Tomorrow I’ll speak to her.
It’s a promise she makes to herself, hoping that maybe, with a little more time, she’ll find the right words.
The next morning, you woke up feeling no better than the night before. If anything, the pit in your stomach had only grown. You glanced at your phone, half-expecting to see a message from Alexia, but there was nothing. No good morning text, no follow-up to check on you. That left a really bitter feeling inside of you, one that you hated feeling for two reasons. One, you knew in your heart she wasn’t trying to make you feel that way, and two because you felt that way.
As you dragged yourself out of bed, you couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. You tried to convince yourself that Alexia was just busy, that she was giving you space like you asked. But deep down, the doubt gnawed at you. What if the space you asked for was pushing her further away?
You knew you needed to talk to her, to clear the air, but the thought of confronting your feelings made you anxious. What if she confirmed your worst fears? What if she said she wasn’t sure about the relationship anymore? You weren’t sure you could handle that.
Still, as you got ready for training, you decided to talk to her today. No more avoiding the conversation. You needed to know what was happening, you needed to clear things up. Not only for your relationship but for your own mind. There was a small voice at the back of your head telling you that speaking to Alexia about why this has happened might be a good idea, but you ignored that for the moment. That would mean showing those deep insecurities. And you weren’t sure if you were ready for that yet.
With the decision made, you grabbed your things and headed out the door, hoping that today would bring some clarity and maybe, just maybe, the reassurance you desperately needed.
Stepping out of the building, you're caught off guard. Alexia is there, leaning against her car, arms folded, sunglasses perched on her nose. She straightens up the moment she spots you, waving casually as if this is the most normal thing in the world. Which a week ago it would have been.
"Hey," she says lightly, her tone casual, maybe a little too casual. Stop reading so much into it y/n.
"Hey," you respond, trying to hide your confusion. "Didn’t expect to see you here."
She shrugs, unlocking the car with a beep. "Thought I’d give you a lift to training. I know Patri picked you up and dropped you home yesterday. I also wanted to check on you properly. How’re you feeling?"
There’s a pause, you are unsure if she’s asking about how you're feeling physically or mentally. "I’m... fine. Maybe a bit tired." Short and sweet, that will do for now.
"Yeah, it’s been a long week," she comments, sliding into the driver’s seat. You follow, buckling in, and the car hums to life as she pulls out onto the road. For a moment, the silence sits between you two, neither of you quite sure how to fill it.
"Traffic’s light today," she notes, glancing briefly at you. "Should get there in no time."
You nod, grateful for the small talk. "Yeah, that’s good."
Another beat of quiet passes.
"Did you see the new kit design?" she asks, her tone light, as if she’s trying to keep the conversation safe.
"Yeah, I did. Looks pretty sharp, though I’m not sure about the neon stripes," you reply, relaxing into the seat a little.
She chuckles softly. "Not a fan?"
You crack a small smile. "Not really my thing. Maybe it’ll grow on me."
The conversation fades again, but this time it feels easier, more comfortable. She’s not pushing, not prying into anything deeper. It feels like both of you are skirting around something bigger, but for now, the surface level is just fine.
Before long, you arrive at the training centre. Alexia leads you inside, where the trainers are waiting. The check-up is routine, some stretches, a few prods here and there and soon, they clear you to train.
"You’re good to go," the head trainer tells you with a nod.
As you step out onto the pitch, Alexia lingers nearby, not hovering, but subtly making sure you’re all right. During the water breaks, she’s quick to hand you a bottle, reminding you to stay hydrated. It's nothing overt, just small gestures that don’t go unnoticed by you.
Training passes, and as you finish up, wiping the sweat from your face and stretching out your tired muscles, you see her approaching again. This time, there’s something different in her expression.
"You did well today," she says with a small, approving smile.
"Thanks," you reply, sensing the shift in the air, the conversation about to take a more serious turn.
She hesitates for a second, then takes a deep breath. "Look... do you want to come back to mine? We need to talk. I think we’re overdue for it."
Her words hang between you both, but the way she says it feels less like a confrontation and more like an invitation. There’s no pressure, no demand, just a simple request.
You meet her gaze, unsure of what this conversation will bring, but knowing it’s inevitable. Whatever is currently going on with you two needs to be addressed and soon. Neither of you enjoying your current situation and definitely not wanting it to continue on this way.
"Yeah," you say, surprising yourself with how quickly the word comes out. "Let’s go."
You hesitate to take the hand Alexia reaches out in front of you, but when she gives you that small smile and slight tilt of her head you can’t help but grab on. You are once again conflicted when she lets go once you are on your feet, but when she awkwardly scratches at her neck as she gestures for you to start walking you can’t help the affection for her that rises in your chest.
The drive to Alexia’s is quiet, not awkward, but there’s a tension that hangs in the air. The radio plays softly in the background, a low hum of noise filling the silence as neither of you speaks much. You glance at her now and then, noticing how her hands grip the wheel just a little too tight, how her jaw seems tense. She’s trying to seem calm, but you know her well enough to see the nerves beneath the surface.
When you arrive at her apartment, Alexia unlocks the door and once again gestures for you to go inside first. You step in, and the familiarity of her space washes over you, a space that’s been shared so many times, but tonight feels different. She lingers by the door for a moment, taking a breath before following you in.
You both sit down on the couch, a little distance between you. Alexia fidgets with her fingers, playing with her rings, clearly trying to gather her thoughts. Finally, she speaks, her voice softer than usual, almost unsure.
“I’m sorry I didn’t come sooner,” she says, her eyes not quite meeting yours. “I wanted to, but... I didn’t know if you’d want me there.”
You sit quietly, listening, waiting for her to continue. You know it is only fair to let her finish without interrupting, your time to speak will come.
“I know I haven’t been... the best lately. I’ve been distant, and I can’t even explain why in a way that makes sense,” she admits, her voice wavering slightly. “And then when you got sick... I wanted to be there for you. I should have been there, but you asked for space, and I didn’t want to make things worse.” You could hear the sadness and longing in her voice as she spoke, it made your heart hurt a little more thinking about how this has negatively affected her as well as you.
She looks down, her fingers twisting together nervously. “But I just kept second-guessing everything. Like, if I showed up, I’d be doing the wrong thing. And maybe... maybe you don’t even want me around anymore.”
Her words hang in the air, heavy with uncertainty and vulnerability. She’s never said anything like this before, never doubted herself like this when it came to your relationship. When it came to you.
You feel the weight of her worry, and it’s clear that she’s been wrestling with this more than you realized. Had you not been the best girlfriend either? Had she been worrying about this for more than just the last few days? There’s a long pause before she speaks again.
“I’m scared I’m not the girlfriend you deserve,” she finally says, her voice barely above a whisper. “I feel like I’m failing you... like I haven’t been there when you needed me most.”
Her eyes finally meet yours, and they’re filled with doubt, something you’re not used to seeing in her. Alexia, who’s always so composed, so sure of herself, now looks like she’s bracing for something, maybe rejection, maybe confirmation that her fears are true.
You take a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment. You know this talk has been coming, but hearing her say it, seeing her so vulnerable, hits you differently. There's a part of you that wants to just reach out and hold her, to tell her it’s all okay, but you know this conversation needs to happen. You know that the both of you need to communicate these feelings and work on how you can do it without it getting to this stage again, if there is going to be again.
“Alexia...” you start, choosing your words carefully, “I never said I didn’t want you around. I asked for space because I needed it, not because I wanted you out of my life.”
She nods slowly, but her expression remains uncertain. You continue, “I’ve been going through a lot, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want you here. It’s just... sometimes I need to figure things out on my own. That doesn’t mean I don’t care about you.”
Alexia exhales, her shoulders sagging a little in relief, but the tension is still there. “I just... I feel like I haven’t been enough lately. I’ve been so focused on everything else that I haven’t made time for us, for you, and then when you needed me most, I just... froze.”
You shift closer to her, your hand gently resting on hers. “I know you’re busy. I never expected you to be around all the time, Ale. I don’t need you to be. I just need you to be... present. To be you.”
Her eyes soften at your words, and she looks down at your hand that is soft on top of hers, her thumb brushing over your knuckles. “I’m sorry,” she says again, her voice steadier now. “I’ll do better. I want to be better, for you. For us.”
You nod, understanding the weight of what she’s saying. It’s not about perfection, not about always getting it right. It’s about showing up, about trying, even when it’s hard, even when doubts creep in.
“I just need us to be open with each other,” you say. “If you’re feeling off or distant, tell me. If you’re unsure about something, we’ll figure it out together. But don’t shut me out, and don’t shut yourself down thinking you’re not enough. And I’ll do better too. I have had so many insecure thoughts over the last few days and I’m sorry for those. I’m sorry that you get affected by them and I’m sorry I didn’t communicate with you about them. That wasn’t fair of me.”
You take a second to think about what you want to say next.  Alexia’s eyes stay locked on yours, her expression softening even more as she listens. Her hand tightens just slightly around yours, a silent acknowledgment of the weight of what you’re both sharing. The tension between you eases further, but the conversation isn’t over yet.
You take a breath, choosing your next words carefully, wanting to make sure she understands where you're coming from.
“I’ve been in my head a lot,” you admit, your voice steady but full of emotion. “I thought that maybe you weren’t showing up because I wasn’t... worth it. That you were pulling away because I’ve been too much to handle. And instead of talking to you about how I was feeling, I just let it build up. I guess I was scared that saying it out loud would make it real.”
Alexia’s brow furrows as she shakes her head gently. “You’re never too much,” she says quietly, her thumb still brushing softly over your hand. “I never want you to feel that way. I hate that you’ve been carrying that, and I didn’t know. That I couldn’t help.”
You nod, grateful for her words but also aware of how important it is to keep the lines of communication open moving forward. “I know you care, I do. I just... I need to trust that more. And I need to talk to you when I’m struggling, not shut you out. I’m sorry for that.”
Alexia leans in closer, her voice filled with sincerity. “We’ll both do better. We’ll figure this out together. You’re not alone in this. I want to be there for you, and I’m sorry if I’ve made you feel like I wasn’t.”
You feel a wave of relief wash over you, and for the first time in days, it feels like the distance that had crept between you is finally closing. There’s a warmth in the room now, a sense of mutual understanding and a willingness to do better, together.
“I don’t need us to be perfect,” you say softly. “I just need to know that we’re in this together. That we can lean on each other, even when things aren’t easy.”
Alexia nods, her eyes shining with emotion. “We are. I promise. I love you, and I’m here. I’ll always be here.”
A small smile tugs at your lips as you lean forward, pressing your forehead against hers. The silence that falls between you now isn’t heavy or filled with uncertainty. It’s peaceful, comforting.
“I love you too,” you whisper.
For now, the words are enough. There’s more to work through, more conversations to be had, but you know that you’re both committed to making this work. And for the first time in a while, you both feel like you're on solid ground again.
Alexia pulls you closer, wrapping her arms around you, and you sink into the embrace. The weight of the past few days begins to lift, replaced by a quiet sense of hope for what comes next.
After the heaviness of the conversation finally lifts, you and Alexia share a soft smile, the tension replaced by a quiet, comforting peace. The air between you feels lighter, and as if sensing the shift, Alexia’s lips curve into a small grin.
“How about we get some takeout?” she suggests, her voice playful yet warm. “I don’t feel like cooking, and I think we both deserve a break tonight.”
You chuckle, nodding in agreement. “That sounds perfect. I could definitely go for some comfort food.”
It doesn’t take long before you’ve both decided on your usual, something easy and satisfying. The soft glow of the kitchen light reflects off Alexia’s face as she places the order, her expression more relaxed than it’s been in days. You can’t help but feel a sense of relief, like things are finally settling back into place.
Not long after, the smell of freshly delivered food fills the room, and you both settle on the sofa, plates balanced on your laps, the comfort of being together in the small, familiar space wrapping around you like a warm blanket.
“Movie?” Alexia asks, already flicking through the streaming options.
“Nothing too heavy,” you say with a smile. “Something we can just zone out to.”
She nods in agreement, finally settling on a classic comedy that always makes you both laugh. As the opening credits roll, you finish your food and tuck yourself into her side, her arm instinctively wrapping around your shoulders, pulling you closer.
As the movie plays, the light from the screen flickers softly against the walls, casting a warm glow over the room. You’re snuggled close into Alexia’s side, her arm still draped around your shoulders, fingers lazily tracing small patterns on your arm. The comfort of it all makes you feel more at ease than you’ve felt in days.
At some point, the film becomes background noise. You’re more focused on the way Alexia’s thumb brushes your skin or the occasional glance you catch of her watching you instead of the movie. You shift slightly, turning your face up toward her, and her gaze softens as your eyes meet.
Alexia smiles, a tender warmth in her expression, and you can’t help but lean in. The first kiss is soft, almost shy, like you’re both still figuring out the rhythm after the tension of the last few days. Her lips linger against yours for a moment longer than usual, and when you pull back, you see the quiet joy in her eyes, a silent thank you for being open and honest with her, for being here.
Without a word, you lean in again, your lips meeting hers in a series of soft, gentle kisses. They’re unhurried, sweet, filled with a quiet kind of affection that says more than words could in this moment. Alexia’s hand comes up to cradle your cheek, her thumb grazing your jawline as she deepens the kiss slightly, but it’s still slow, still soft.
When you finally pull away, her forehead rests against yours, her breath mingling with yours as you both smile, the movie all but forgotten now.
“I missed this,” she whispers, her voice barely audible, as if speaking too loudly would shatter the quiet moment.
“Me too,” you whisper back, brushing a kiss on the corner of her lips, your hands finding their way into hers.
She presses another kiss to your lips, this one lingering, and you both relax into the warmth of each other, the world outside fading as the night slips by.
There’s no rush, just the two of you, lost in the soft comfort of being close, the rest of the night spent in quiet kisses and shared smiles, wrapped up in each other as the movie plays on in the background. There is no need for more words tonight. You both know you’re in this together, that the promise made earlier will be something you will both work at together. And for right now, that’s enough.

Heyy, i hope you're doing well! I wanted to ask if you would be down to write a fic based on the song "drown" by bring me the horizon. I absolutely love this song and it has a place in my heart because this band and also this song carried me through some dark times ( I cried so hard when i heard that song live for the first time 2 months ago xD) . Maybe it could be a barca x reader fic that also deals with $elf h@rm if that is a topic you're comfortable writing about, because reading books and fan fics about this topic has been helping me immensely with my own recovery. So if this is an idea that interests you I would love to read that fic, but if it's a topic you're just not comfortable with feel free to just ignore this ask. (But seriously listen to drown it's such a beautiful song)
Hiiiiii - I hope I did this request and song justice. Please know if you are struggling, you are loved. You are so, so loved and people want to help you. I know asking for help is really hard, but I promise it is worth it. You are worth it.

Kelly Clarkson once sang that whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, that it turns you into a fighter, and helps you stand a little taller. Those words are meant to inspire resilience, to remind you that adversity is supposed to build character and fortify your spirit. But as much as you wanted to believe that, as much as you tried to let those lyrics resonate in your heart, the truth is, you weren’t sure if they were true. You wished with every fibre of your being that they were, but deep down, you felt the weight of life’s challenges pressing down on you. Instead of feeling stronger, you often felt worn down, as if the struggles you faced had chipped away at your resolve rather than bolstered it.
You wanted to feel like a fighter, to stand taller in the face of hardship, but more often than not, you found yourself struggling just to stay on your feet. It was as if each obstacle left a scar that made it harder to move forward, rather than easier. The hope that you’d emerge stronger sometimes felt like a distant dream, and you wondered if that strength Kelly sang about was something you’d ever truly feel.
Half the time, it felt like you were floating – weightless, as if you were drifting through life without a solid anchor. There was a strange sensation of being unmoored, detached from the world around you, almost as if you were existing in a bubble that separated you from everything real and tangible. In those moments, you felt neither grounded nor fully present, as if the weight of your worries and responsibilities had somehow lifted, but so had your sense of purpose and direction. You were there, but not really there – drifting in a kind of limbo where everything seemed just out of reach.
The other half of the time, it felt like you were drowning – barely able to keep your head above the water as the weight of everything threatened to pull you under. The world seemed to close in around you, the pressures and responsibilities of life crashing over you like relentless waves. Each day felt like a struggle just to stay afloat, as if you were constantly treading water in an ocean of overwhelming emotions, fears, and uncertainties.
Your mind was a whirlpool, dragging you down into dark, turbulent depths where it was hard to breathe, hard to think, and hard to see any way out. Every little thing seemed like an anchor, dragging you further beneath the surface, making it harder and harder to find the strength to push back up. The sensation of drowning was terrifying – your heart raced, your breath quickened, and panic took hold as you fought desperately to survive the relentless tide.
In these moments, it felt like you were being suffocated by the weight of your own thoughts and emotions, as if they were water filling your lungs, making it impossible to take a full breath. You tried to fight against it, to keep yourself above the water, but the effort was exhausting, leaving you drained and gasping for air. The more you struggled, the deeper you seemed to sink, and the idea of finding solid ground again felt increasingly out of reach.
There was one thing that brought you a small measure of comfort, a fleeting moment of relief that made you feel a little better. It was like a lifeline thrown to you in the middle of the chaos. Just for that brief instant, your feet were on solid ground again, and you felt a sense of stability that had been missing for so long. In that split second, you weren’t drowning in the suffocating depths of your anxieties, nor were you floating aimlessly through the fog of disconnection.
Instead, you felt anchored, grounded in a reality that was steady and secure. It was as if the storm inside you had paused, and the world had stopped spinning just long enough for you to catch your breath. In that moment, you were fully present, aware of yourself and your surroundings in a way that made everything else fade into the background. The weight that usually pressed so heavily on your chest lifted, and for that brief period, you were able to stand tall and feel the earth beneath you, firm and unwavering.
It didn’t last long – those moments of clarity and peace never did. They slipped away as quickly as they came, like sand through your fingers, leaving you once again adrift in the chaos of your thoughts. The sense of calm and stability that you craved was always fleeting, a temporary reprieve that left you yearning for more. But in the aftermath, when the world once again became overwhelming and your mind descended back into the chaos there was one thing that lingered: the small, neat red lines.
These lines were the only reminder of that brief lucidity, etched into your skin like a secret code that only you could understand. They were delicate but precise, almost methodical in their appearance, as if each one was a calculated attempt to bring some order to the chaos within.
The red lines were your way of marking time, of grounding yourself in a reality that often felt too slippery to hold onto. In those moments when clarity slipped away, when you were once again floating or drowning, they were there to remind you that, for just a moment, you had found your footing. The pain they brought was real, sharp, and immediate – something that could cut through the numbness and confusion, anchoring you back to the present.
It hadn’t always been like this. There was a time when life was simpler, when the world seemed brighter and full of possibilities. Your dad used to tell you stories of when you were just a baby, how you were the very picture of happiness –  all gummy smiles and infectious giggles that could light up a room. He would describe how your laughter was so pure, so full of joy, that it could make even the grumpiest person smile. In his eyes, you were a little bundle of sunshine, radiating warmth and love wherever you went.
You often wondered what happened to that little girl, the one who seemed to find joy so easily in everything around her. Where did she go? What changed between those carefree days and now, when the world feels so heavy and your heart so burdened? You tried to remember the last time you felt that kind of unrestrained happiness, but the memories were hazy, like trying to recall a dream that had long since faded.
You couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment when things started to shift, when the lightness began to slip away, replaced by something much darker. Maybe it was a gradual process, so slow and subtle that you didn’t notice it happening until one day you woke up and realised that the little girl who used to laugh so easily was gone. Or maybe it was something more abrupt, a single event that changed everything, though you couldn’t quite remember what it might have been.
There were times when you’d catch a glimpse of her, that little girl, in the mirror – perhaps in a fleeting smile or a brief moment of joy – but she was always just out of reach, like a shadow that vanished as soon as you tried to hold onto it. The happiness that once came so naturally now felt like a distant memory, something that belonged to a different time, a different version of yourself.
You couldn’t help but feel a sense of loss, a mourning for the person you used to be, for the life you used to live. What had happened to that carefree spirit, the one who saw the world as a place of wonder and possibility? Where did all those smiles and giggles go, replaced by the weight of anxiety and the burden of unspoken sadness?
You wished you could find your way back to her, to that little girl who knew how to be happy without even trying. But the path seemed unclear, the way forward uncertain, and all you were left with were the memories of who you used to be and the quiet hope that maybe, someday, you might rediscover that lost joy.
Ingrid had sensed that something was off the very first time she met you. It was as if she could see right through the façade you were trying so hard to maintain. You were just 17 at the time, still so young, yet there was something about the way you carried yourself that spoke of a weariness far beyond your years. Most teenagers were full of restless energy, eager to explore the world and discover who they were, but you – there was a heaviness in your eyes, a kind of fatigue that no child should ever have to bear.
When you stood before her, Ingrid could see that the weight of the world was already pressing down on your shoulders. It was in the way you held yourself, as if every movement took a conscious effort, every step a deliberate act to keep from being overwhelmed by the burden you carried. You tried to smile, to present yourself as just another teenager navigating the usual challenges of adolescence, but even your smile seemed strained, like it was something you had to force rather than something that came naturally.
Ingrid noticed how you seemed to shrink into yourself, as if trying to make yourself smaller, less noticeable, perhaps in the hope that the world might go easier on you if you took up less space. But it was impossible to ignore the sadness that lingered behind your eyes, a sadness that seemed to have settled there long before its time. It was as if you had lived through experiences that had aged you in ways that others your age couldn’t begin to understand.
There was an unspoken tension in the way you interacted with others, a hesitation that suggested you had learned to guard yourself carefully. Ingrid could tell that you were wary of letting anyone get too close, as if you were afraid that if someone saw too much, they might unravel the carefully constructed image you were trying so desperately to hold together. It was a kind of self-protection, a shield you had built to keep the world at arm’s length, but Ingrid could see through it.
She saw the exhaustion etched into your posture, the way your shoulders slumped ever so slightly, as if the weight you carried was too much to bear alone. And though you were still just a teenager, still supposed to be discovering the joys and freedoms of youth, there was an undeniable gravity about you, a maturity born out of hardship that no one your age should have had to endure.
She had gone straight to Mapí, her heart heavy with worry and a sense of urgency she couldn’t ignore. Mapí had always been her anchor, the one person she could turn to when everything else seemed to be spiralling out of control. There was a comfort in Mapí’s presence, a kind of steady reassurance that made the world feel a little less chaotic. And in that moment, when she felt like she was drowning in her own thoughts, there was no one else she could think of who could help her make sense of it all.
As she approached Mapí, she could see the girl was already watching her, those perceptive eyes filled with a quiet understanding. Mapí had always been like that – intuitive, almost as if she could sense when something was wrong without a single word being spoken. It was as if she could read the unspoken emotions, the things that others overlooked or dismissed, and she knew just how to respond without being told.
“I’m worried about her,” Ingrid said quietly to Mapí, her voice tinged with concern as she gestured with her head in your direction. There was a seriousness in her tone that caught Mapí’s attention immediately. Ingrid wasn’t one to express worry lightly; if she was concerned, it meant something was truly wrong.
“Who?” Mapí asked, her brow furrowing slightly as she tried to follow Ingrid’s line of sight. She turned to see who Ingrid was referring to, her eyes scanning the room until they landed on you.
“Den lille,” Ingrid replied softly. It was a name that fit you perfectly, even though you were no longer a small child. To Ingrid, you would always be den lille, the one who needed looking after, the one she couldn’t help but worry about.
Mapí’s gaze lingered on you, taking in the way you sat off to the side, your shoulders hunched slightly as if you were trying to make yourself invisible. She saw the way your fingers absentmindedly traced the edges of your shorts, a nervous habit she had noticed before but never truly understood until now. There was something about your posture, the way you seemed so withdrawn, that tugged at her heart. You looked like you were carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders, and it didn’t sit right with Mapí.
“She’s been different lately,” Ingrid continued, her voice barely above a whisper, as if saying the words out loud would somehow make them more real. “I’m scared, María.”
Mapí’s heart ached at Ingrid’s words. The concern in Ingrid’s voice was palpable, a stark contrast to the usual composed and confident demeanour she typically displayed. The way Ingrid had hesitated before speaking, the trembling edge to her voice, suggested that this was more than just a fleeting worry – it was a deep, gnawing fear that had taken root in her heart.
Mapí turned her full attention to you, her eyes softening. There was an undeniable shift in your demeanour that had been building over time, and it was clear now that Ingrid’s fears were not unfounded. The way you sat, so isolated and withdrawn, seemed like a cry for help that was too quiet to be heard. Mapí could feel the gravity of the situation pressing down on her, the realisation that something needed to be done before it was too late.
“Ale will know what to do,” Mapí said with false bravado, trying to mask the tremor in her voice behind a veneer of confidence. Her words were meant to reassure Ingrid, to offer a glimmer of hope amidst the growing uncertainty, but inside, she felt a pang of doubt.
Mapí had always relied on Alexia’s wisdom and experience, believing her to be someone who could handle even the most complex of situations with ease. She had a way of approaching problems with calm assurance and a strategic mindset that often brought clarity and solutions where there seemed to be none. Mapí hoped that, with Alexia’s involvement, they could find a way to help you navigate the turmoil you were experiencing.
She knew, however, that this situation was different. The weight of it felt heavier, more personal. Her usually steadfast confidence was being tested, and despite her efforts to maintain a brave front, she couldn’t completely suppress the anxiety that gnawed at her.
Ingrid glanced at Mapí, a mixture of hope and scepticism in her eyes. “You really think so?” she asked, her voice laced with both trust and apprehension.
“Absolutely,” Mapí replied, her tone firm despite the fluttering unease in her chest.
Alexia had noticed the changes in you too, though her observations were more subtle, filtered through a lens of quiet concern rather than overt worry. She had seen you through different stages of life, from the carefree moments of adolescence to the more introspective phases, but lately, something had shifted, and she couldn’t ignore the signs any longer.
It was in the way you interacted with others, or rather, how you had started to withdraw from those interactions. Alexia, who had always admired your vibrant energy and effortless charm, now saw you retreating into yourself. The once bright and engaging conversations seemed to dwindle, replaced by a more subdued presence that she struggled to reconcile with the person she once knew.
She noticed how you would often linger on the periphery of group activities, participating only half-heartedly, if at all. Your laughter, which used to come so easily, had become rare and forced, a stark contrast to the genuine joy that used to light up your face. Even your physical appearance had changed; where there was once a confident posture, there was now a noticeable slouch, a sign of the weight you seemed to be carrying.
Alexia also observed the small, telling habits that had shifted. The way you fidgeted with your clothes or avoided eye contact during conversations spoke volumes about your internal struggle. It was as if you were trying to make yourself as inconspicuous as possible, a stark departure from the once lively and assertive person she had known.
“Ale, we need to talk,” Mapí said firmly, cornering Alexia in the changing rooms after training one afternoon. Her voice was low and serious, carrying an undertone of urgency that instantly drew Alexia’s full attention. The usual post-training chatter and the clamor of lockers being shut were fading into the background as the gravity of Mapí’s tone cut through the noise.
“Is everything okay?” Alexia asked, her voice betraying a hint of concern as she met Mapí’s gaze. The look in Mapí’s eyes was one Alexia hadn’t seen very often – an earnestness and resolve that spoke of something deeper than just a casual chat. The air between them seemed to thicken with unspoken tension, the room suddenly feeling smaller, more confined as the weight of the conversation settled in.
“No, it’s not,” Ingrid replied, her tone steady but laden with emotion.
Three sets of eyes turned to look at you, the subject of their concern. You sat on a bench, somewhat apart from the group, absorbed in your own thoughts, unaware of the intensity of the discussion unfolding just a few feet away. The distance between you and the others was more than physical; it was as though a chasm had opened up, underscoring the emotional divide that had grown.
You looked so tired. It was a weariness that went beyond physical exhaustion, a heaviness that seemed to seep into your very bones. The vibrant energy that once defined you had dimmed, leaving behind a shadow of your former self.
Your eyes, which used to sparkle with curiosity and joy, were now clouded with a fatigue that spoke volumes about the battles you were fighting internally. They were deep and dark, the kind of tiredness that comes from sleepless nights and unspoken worries. The once bright and animated expression you wore had given way to a distant gaze that struggled to focus on the world around you. When you did look up, it was with a slow, measured effort, as if the simple act of meeting someone’s eyes required more energy than you had to spare. Your gaze seemed to drift in and out of focus, mirroring the exhaustion that you felt but could not escape.
Your training top seemed far too big on you now, the fabric hanging off you like a draped shroud. It was as if the clothes themselves reflected the way you had withdrawn from the world; they looked oversized and loose, emphasising the contrast between your current state and the vibrant person you used to be.
Every small movement you made seemed laboured, as though even the simplest actions required a tremendous amount of effort. Your shoulders slouched slightly, as if weighed down by an invisible burden that made every step feel heavier. The casual confidence that once characterised your movements had been replaced by a tentative, almost cautious mannerism, as though you were trying to conserve every ounce of energy you had.
Your breathing was steady but shallow, and every now and then, you let out a sigh that seemed to escape from somewhere deep inside you – a sigh that spoke of exhaustion and resignation. The small, subtle gestures you made, like tucking your hands into your sleeves or curling your legs up on the bench, were instinctive attempts to find some semblance of comfort or protection in a moment where you felt particularly vulnerable.
“Oh, cariño,” Alexia whispered, her heart breaking at the sight of you. The term of endearment slipped from her lips like a soft breath of sorrow, laden with a depth of feeling that words alone could not fully convey. It was a tender utterance meant to bridge the emotional chasm that seemed to separate you from everyone around you.
As Alexia watched you, her eyes were filled with a deep sadness that mirrored the gravity of the moment. The sight of you, sitting apart from the group, lost in your own thoughts, was more than Alexia could bear. Her heart ached as she took in the full extent of your weariness. It was clear that this was not just a fleeting moment of fatigue but a profound, ongoing struggle that had seeped into your very being. The vibrant spirit she once knew seemed overshadowed by a deep, unspoken sorrow that had taken hold.
You weren’t sure why you phoned Ona, out of all people. It wasn’t like you were particularly close with her; in fact, your interactions with her had always been somewhat limited and casual. You knew her mostly through mutual friends and shared activities, exchanging pleasantries and brief conversations but never delving deeply into each other's lives. Yes, you considered her a friend, but your one-on-one time had been minimal, mostly restricted to group settings or casual encounters. She wasn’t someone you confided in regularly, nor did you have a history of sharing personal struggles or intimate details.
Yet, in the midst of your crisis, when everything felt out of control and the world seemed to have narrowed to the confines of your bathroom floor, Ona’s name was the first to come to mind. You sat there, the cold tiles pressing against your legs, a razor gripped tightly in one hand, its cold edge a stark reminder of the darkness you were grappling with. Your thoughts were a swirling mix of desperation and confusion, and in that chaotic mental fog, Ona’s name emerged almost instinctively.
It was an odd choice, and you struggled to understand it yourself. Perhaps it was the nature of your relationship with her – though not deeply personal, it was still a connection that felt solid enough to offer some semblance of support. Sometimes, the familiarity of a person, even if not deeply entrenched, can provide a sense of comfort in moments of profound vulnerability. Ona had always been approachable and kind, traits that, despite the limited interaction, might have seemed reassuring in your current state.
There was also something to be said for the randomness of human emotion and instinct. In moments of deep distress, the mind often grasps at whatever feels familiar, even if it’s not the most logical choice. Ona, being someone who had always been friendly and supportive, perhaps embodied a sense of stability and kindness that was desperately needed in that moment.
“Hola?” Her voice came through the phone, laden with sleep, thick with the grogginess of having been abruptly roused from slumber. There was a softness to her tone, a slow, drowsy lilt that spoke of the deep relaxation she had been in just moments before. The initial, half-hearted curiosity in her voice quickly sharpened into something more alert as she processed the unusual hour and the unexpected call.
“I …” You began, but the words caught in your throat, tangled with the overwhelming emotions that had gripped you. Your voice trembled, barely more than a whisper, laden with a mixture of vulnerability and desperation. It was as if the sheer effort of making the call had drained you, leaving only a fragile thread of sound that barely carried your intent.
“Pequeña?” Ona’s voice was suddenly more awake, filled with concern. The fragility in your voice, so unlike the casual exchanges you had shared before, pierced through her initial drowsiness. The realisation that something was seriously wrong caused her to sit upright in bed, the sense of alarm and urgency pushing away the remnants of sleep.
“Help me,” you managed to utter, the words escaping in a pained whisper
You woke up in hospital. The room cold and sterile. The first thing you noticed was the biting chill that seemed to seep into your very bones, despite the layers of blankets draped over you. The air felt thin and clinical – you had never known such an impersonal space existed. The walls were a clinical shade of white, interrupted only by the occasional piece of medical equipment or the sparse, functional décor meant to provide minimal distraction. The lighting was bright and unyielding, casting a harsh glare that made the room feel even colder and more impersonal. The fluorescent lights overhead buzzed softly, their steady hum creating a rhythm that seemed oddly out of place.
Your bed, positioned at the centre of the room, was surrounded by a fortress of medical paraphernalia. An IV drip hung beside you, its clear fluids slowly trickling down a tube that was taped to your arm. The beeping of a heart monitor provided a steady, monotonous cadence, a reminder of the life support systems that were now a part of your immediate environment. The rhythmic sound was oddly comforting and unnerving all at once, a constant reminder of your current state and the care being provided.
The air was filled with a faint, antiseptic scent – a mix of cleaning agents and medicinal odours that seemed to hang in the atmosphere like an unwelcome guest. It was a smell that clung to everything, from the freshly laundered hospital sheets to the disposable gowns and sterile gloves that the medical staff wore.
There was a warm weight in your right hand. It took you a moment to realise what it was. A hand. A hand connected to an arm, that led to a shoulder, that was attached to a whole person. The fingers resting gently in your grasp were familiar and comforting, their gentle pressure offering a steady reassurance. You turned your head slightly, and through the haze of your groggy state, you saw the face of the person whose hand you were holding.
“Hi,” Ona smiled softly, her expression a blend of warmth and reassurance.
“Hi,” you replied, your voice barely above a whisper. It was a weak echo of her greeting, laden with the exhaustion and vulnerability you felt. Your gaze drifted to the hand still resting in yours. She followed your stare, squeezing gently when she realised what you were looking at.
 “The others have got to get food,” Ona continued, her voice gentle but firm. “It’s just us, if you want to talk.”
“What’s there to talk about?” you countered, the words a defense mechanism. If you denied it, it would all go away.
“Do not play dumb, pequeña.” Ona’s voice carried a note of gentle reproach. Her tone was soft but resolute.
“I …” you began, but the words seemed to falter before they could take shape. The enormity of your emotions was difficult to articulate, and the effort to speak felt almost insurmountable. You struggled to find the right words, your thoughts jumbled and disjointed.
But how could she truly understand? What little you knew about her life seemed almost painfully perfect by comparison. From the outside, Ona’s existence appeared to be a seamless tapestry of success and happiness. Her football career was thriving, each game a testament to her skill and dedication. She was admired and celebrated by teammates and fans alike, her talent on the field a source of pride and achievement.
Her relationship was also the stuff of dreams. Ona had Lucy, someone who seemed to bring out the best in her, their interactions marked by genuine affection and mutual support. They were often seen together, sharing moments of joy and laughter that spoke of a deep and abiding connection. Their bond was one of those rare partnerships that seemed to transcend the everyday challenges, offering a glimpse into a love that was both passionate and enduring.
Her circle of friends appeared to be equally ideal. They were supportive and loyal, always there for one another through thick and thin. The camaraderie and warmth of their friendship were evident in the way they interacted, their shared moments of happiness and mutual encouragement. It was a friendship that seemed to offer a solid foundation, a network of support that was both comforting and reliable.
And then there was her family – an image of stability and happiness. They were often seen together, their interactions filled with laughter and love. The family dynamic seemed to be one of mutual respect and genuine affection, a supportive backdrop to Ona’s life that added to the picture of her seemingly perfect existence.
In contrast, your own life felt chaotic and fraught with difficulties. The weight of your struggles seemed all the more daunting when juxtaposed against Ona’s polished image. It was easy to feel that her understanding of your pain was limited, that the perfection you saw in her life might somehow preclude her from fully grasping the depth of your own challenges. You wondered if her empathy was genuine or if it was simply a reflection of her innate kindness, an attempt to reach across the chasm of your differences and offer comfort despite the apparent disparity between your lives.
“If you don’t want to talk yet, that’s fine. But let me show you something.” She pushed up her sleeve.
C O N T ; N U E
“You’re not alone in this, pequeña. No one is ever alone.” Ona’s voice was steady, a soft but firm anchor amidst the storm. She shifted slightly, her fingers gently tracing over a tattoo on her arm. “I got this just after I moved to England,” she began, her tone becoming more reflective. “I felt so alone. I didn’t speak the language very well, I had no friends, and we were in lockdown. Everything was different.” Her gaze softened as she looked at the tattoo, her fingers moving lightly over its surface, as if the act itself was a form of remembering and honouring a past struggle.
The room seemed to grow quieter, the beeping of the monitors and the distant murmur of the hospital blending into a background hum as Ona continued. “I almost did it, y’know. I was really, really close – had the bottle and everything.” Her voice wavered slightly, a rare crack in the veneer of her composed exterior. “I haven’t even told Lucy this.” She laughed humourlessly.
“Why didn’t you?” you asked, the question hanging in the air.
Ona took a deep breath, her eyes meeting yours as she smiled gently. “Alessia knocked on my door. She noticed I looked a little down and came to check on me. I don’t know if she saw the pills or not, but she stayed with me all day.” The warmth in her eyes deepened as she spoke. “She asked me to teach her some Spanish, she taught me how to make pasta from scratch. She didn’t let me leave her side for three days. Even then, as soon as she left Tooney appeared.”
“Wh-why are you telling me this?” Your voice quivered, the words struggling to get out over the lump in your throat.
Ona’s eyes softened with a blend of compassion and determination. “So that you know you’re not alone,” she began, her voice steady and full of quiet resolve. “I don’t know the ins and outs of what you’re going through, but just know that I’m here, we all are. We aren’t going anywhere.” She promised.
She paused, allowing her words to settle, as if to let the depth of her meaning fully resonate. You blinked, trying to hold back the flood of emotions that were threatening to overwhelm you. Tears began to well up in your eyes. The tears were a mixture of relief and sadness.
“You are loved, pequeña. So, so loved. And we will be here for you, no matter what, no matter how long it takes.”

Dating Pau Cubarsí [headcanon]
a/n: yeah, I was gone for months, but I wrote this while watching the Barca game last week so felt an urge to post this so here we go. I also have no idea what happened to my master-list, but you can request anything if you want:) I think I need to post a new master list and everything… anyways here you go
Tumblr media
Pau slips little handwritten notes into your books and jacket pockets—each one a tiny “just because” reminding you how much he adores you, whether it’s a doodle of your favorite flower or a sweet nickname he’s been practicing.
During quiet moments, his fingertips softly brush stray hairs from your face, tucking them behind your ear with a smile that says you’re perfect just the way you are.
After evening training sessions, he always makes you hot chocolate, stirring in extra marshmallows and proudly bringing it to you while you cozy up in his jacket. When you say to him, you feel like you should be the one making him the hot chocolate, he refuses and say you always need to be treated like the princess you are. Making you blush
Midnight cravings never stand a chance; he knows your comfort foods by heart and surprises you with little deliveries, lighting up when he sees your sleepy, happy face.
Getting ready for bed feels extra special when he hums your favorite lullabies, his voice low and soothing, turning even the most restless nights into peaceful dreams.
Watching TV together usually ends with soft butterfly kisses along your collarbone, his playful affection pulling giggles from you that make his heart feel so full.
Holding your hand becomes second nature—his thumb tracing tiny circles against your skin, quietly reminding you that he’s always there.
Late at night, when the world feels extra soft, he whispers “I love you” in your native language, after practicing it over and over until he gets it just right.
After a long day, spontaneous foot massages become his specialty, his strong hands easing away any tension while you melt into the moment.
On chilly evening walks, he gently drapes his scarf around your shoulders, pulling you close as he tells little stories from his childhood in Girona, his voice mixing with the crisp air.
Baking sessions turn into mini adventures, with flour flying everywhere and laughter filling the kitchen—his favorite part is always sneaking little tastes of cookie dough with a shy grin.
Sometimes he leaves his favorite hoodie on your chair before leaving for training, knowing you’ll smile when you find it and feel just a little closer to him.
Before every match, he shyly asks you to be his “lucky charm”, cupping your cheeks and pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.
Reading the same book you’re reading quickly becomes one of his sweetest habits; he loves highlighting quotes just so he can say, “this part made me think of you.”
He picks out matching keychains one day, grinning when he finds two puzzle pieces that fit together perfectly.
Lazy afternoons mean soft touches—tracing invisible little hearts on your back as you lie together, his hand moving slowly and absentmindedly.
Braiding your hair, even when he’s absolutely terrible at it, becomes something of a tradition; every messy braid makes him beam like he’s created a masterpiece.
Meeting your family for the first time makes him adorably nervous, but his warm smile and kindness win them over faster than he could have ever hoped.
Flowers find their way to you all the time—sometimes from a shop, sometimes plucked from a garden or park—always with a bashful "this one looked like you."
His phone hides a little secret: an album filled with photos of you, candid and beautiful, each one capturing the way you make his world feel brighter.
No matter how small your bag is, he insists on carrying it, teasing that since you already carry his heart, it’s only fair he carries something of yours too.
Falling asleep on the couch leads to waking up cocooned in a warm blanket, your forehead kissed so gently it feels like a dream.
Tiny hearts and your initials decorate the corners of his notes and notebooks—little secret declarations he doesn’t even realize he’s making anymore.
After important matches, he loves wrapping his jersey around your shoulders, even if you are proudly wearing it to the matches, pride shining in his eyes because you’re always his biggest victory.
When he talks about the future, it’s all soft smiles and quiet promises—a cozy house, a small garden, endless sunsets, and a life filled with shared dreams.
If your name isn’t Spanish or has a tricky pronunciation, he makes sure to learn it perfectly—repeating it to himself until he gets every sound just right. Whenever someone else mispronounces it, he gently corrects them with a smile, proud to say your name exactly the way it deserves to be said.

the pitch can't see us together
catarina macario x f!barca!uswnt!reader
warnings: none
Tumblr media
ever since you’ve moved to barcelona two football seasons ago, your team has carved a permanent place in your soul, and no matter where life leads, everything here will always claim you.
however, there’s another love in your heart. it is the love that one that flourishes beyond the football stuff, its also on your national team too. that love is in london, it’s catarina.
you and catarina have been bound together since 2021 when you both debuted for the uswnt. your caps are nearly matched, and sometimes you love to think that your paths intertwined with your hearts inseparable.
it started with a crush that flickered in silent glances and light physical touches during training camps. you let it simmer and entertained it with shy smiles, until your teammates…kelley, megan, naomi, sophia, trinity specifically, got sick of it.
“you’re both hopeless,” kelley had teased, “do something already.”
so, you did. two years later, your love is growing brighter with every moment you share. the long distance doesn’t seem to hold your love back since cat is only a two hour plane ride away.
tonight, though, your love has no place on the pitch.
literally, patri made sure that you jana and ona (players with partner’s at chelsea) knew that.
the champions league semi-final against chelsea has been a massacre…not for you, not for barcelona, but for your opponents at chelsea. the 8-2 aggregate scoreline is a humiliation, a testament to barca dominance.
four americans took the field tonight. you, the lone star with catarina, naomi, and mia on the london side. being the only american in the catalan club carries weight. expectations are higher, the spotlight harsher. however, they love you. all of the fans call you estrella americana for a reason.
your golazos, those curling shots from outside the box, are your trademark. you’ve met every challenge with being at barcelona, but it’s lonely at times. that is why you love national team camp, with its familiar faces and catarina’s presence. it is a refuge.
being with catarina, love feels like a garden in bloom. every touch, every shared laugh, every quiet moment nurtures it, letting it grow wild and free. you poured your heart into her, and she catches every drop, mirroring it in her smile, her voice, her warmth.
it’s a love that feels like home, even if she stays in england and you in spain.
tonight, you can’t love her. the final whistle blows, and the away crowd erupts. barcelona is through to the champions league final, and you’re a cornerstone of this victory. your teammates flood the field, but you pause, caught in the moment.
esmee, your closest friend since joining barcelona last season, jogs toward you, arms wide.
you hesitate, your eyes flicking to the chelsea players, but you can’t leave esmee hanging. you pull her into a quick hug, her grin infectious.
“we did it!” she exclaims, her dutch accent bright.
“yeah, we did,” you reply, but your gaze drifts. across the pitch, catarina grabs a water bottle, flanked by naomi and niamh. they stand together, heads low, the loss heavy on their shoulders.
it’s fair. 8-2 stings. the guilt tugs at you, not for your performance, but for the pain it’s caused her.
ona appears beside you, her expression torn between triumph and concern. lucy, her girlfriend, left barcelona last season for chelsea, making this match as personal for ona as it is for you.
“when do we talk to them?” ona asks, nodding toward lucy and catarina.
suddenly at the same time, lucy is on her knees with her hands covering her face, disbelief etched in her posture.
you swallow with throat tight, “not yet. they might need space.”
ona nods, but her eyes stay on lucy. when lucy collapses to the ground, shoulders shaking, ona’s resolve crumbles.
“forget it,” she mutters, jogging to her girlfriend.
so much for space.
you’re alone now, the moment’s weight settling over you. you move through post-match rituals, shaking hands and hugging chelsea players with practiced grace. you don’t apologize…not for your brilliance, not for the goals you scored.
when you reach mia, your national team best friend, the words slip out.
“‘m sorry,” you say softly, gripping her hand.
mia shakes her head, her smile wry.
“it’s game. you were unreal out there.”
you chuckle, but your eyes flick to catarina, still with aggie naomi and niamh.
“is she okay?” you ask, voice low.
mia follows your gaze, “go talk to her. she’ll want you.”
before you can move, naomi approaches while running over to you, her california cool intact despite the loss. you pull her into a tight hug, the kind that says you’ve missed her.
“sorry you had to face us for your first european games,” you say, grinning.
“whatever,” naomi laughs while shrugging, “next season, i’ll get a better start.”
“count on it,” you reply.
all of the sudden, naomi’s eyes light up seeing your kit, “yo, can i get your shirt?”
you hesitate.
you’d planned to swap with catarina, but you already did in the first leg.
naomi’s your girl, though. “yeah, sure,” you say, peeling off your barcelona kit and handing it over.
she tosses you her chelsea one, and you slip it on, the kit is foreign against your skin.
catarina turns then, her conversation with aggie and naimh pausing. your girlfriend’s eyes land on you, and the world narrows to just you two.
the public has speculated about your relationship for years…neither of you has confirmed it, but it’s obvious in the way you gravitate toward each other.
you dismiss naomi with a nod, and she heads towards alexia.
you step toward catarina, heart thudding. your lungs take a deep breath when your arms wrap her in a hug, her warmth grounding you.
“you were tough out there,” you say, voice soft.
“not really,” she replies with her tone flat, “not today.”
you tighten your hold while whispering, “it wasn’t your fault, cat. it wasn’t.”
she shrugs while pulling back, keeping her hands on your waist, “team effort.”
you don’t know why, but you ask, “are you mad at me?”
catarina frowns, brows knitting.
“not really.” her eyes drop to naomi’s chelsea kit that you are wearing, a playful glint sparking.
“you could transfer, you know. be a blue next season. make me feel better.”
you roll your eyes, laughing.
“you’re only saying that because you’re pro-madrid and want me to leave barcelona.”
“true,” she mumbles, a small smile breaking through.
before you can say more, alexia approaches, her captain’s presence steady.
“everything okay?” she asks, glancing between you.
for someone whose girlfriend doesn’t play football, alexia has a knack for checking on the team’s couples. you saw her with jana and aggie a few minutes ago while talking to mia.
“we’re fine,” you say.
alexia chuckles.
“better than them.” she nods toward ona, kneeling beside a stressed lucy. your stomach twists since one of lucy’s errors led to your third goal, a curling shot that broke chelsea’s spirit. you swallow hard.
“should i apologize to her?” you ask alexia, voice low.
catarina cuts in, “no. you don’t apologize for doing your job.”
you turn to her with your heart swelling, “i know, but… i love you guys.”
alexia takes that as her cue, clapping your shoulder before heading to irene. you and catarina are alone again, the stadium’s noise fading.
“hey,” you start, voice softer, “i’m so excited for greece in june. you and me, those beaches, the sunsets…”
catarina’s face brightens with the loss lifting for a moment, “same. i booked us the villa on kos with a private pool.’
“you’re spoiling me,” you tease while nudging her, “private pool? trying to make me fall for you all over again?”
“is it working?” she shoots back, grinning.
“definitely,” you say, winking.
“what else you got planned?”
“there’s this restaurant in rhodes,” she says with leaning closer, “great view, amazing moussaka. i know you’re picky, but you’ll love it.”
“you know me too well,” you say with your heart fluttering, “i’m already counting down.”
“me too,” she says, voice warm, “just us, no football, no pressure.”
you hesitate, the next question heavy.
it feels raw after the match, but you need to know.
“cat… will you come to lisbon? for the final? you were there in bilbao last season, even after…” you trail off.
catarina steps closer, pulling you into another hug.
“of course i’ll be there,” she says, voice firm.
“i wouldn’t miss it.”
you melt into her, relief washing over you.
“thank you,” you whisper.
“it means everything.”
“you mean everything,” she replies, breath warm against your ear.
you pull back, hands on her waist.
“you’re pretty good at this girlfriend thing, even when i’m out here embarrassing your team.”
she laughs which is bright and clear, “you’re lucky i love you.”
“i am,” you say, serious now.
“i really am.”
you glance at the scoreboard, the 8-2 glaring.
“i really am sorry it went like this. i knew we were gonna win but i was hoping for a closer score,” you say, voice quiet.
“oh shush!! but don’t be,” she says, squeezing your hand.
“you were incredible. i’m proud of you, even if it stings.”
“you’re too good to me,” you murmur.
“someone’s gotta keep up with the estrella americana,” she teases, and you laugh, the tension easing.

Picture You II Fridolina Rolfö x Engen!Reader
masterlist I word count: 2480
a/n: hi, we had this idea for quite a while now and finally got to writing it down, we hope you enjoy it.
Fridolina Rolfö had no explanation for why her relationships always failed.
Her boyfriend of two years had broken up with her out of nowhere and as much as she wanted to feel sad about it, there was some kind of apathy taking over her.
Coincidentally, her teammates had scheduled a team bonding event only a few days after she was dumped.
In hopes that it would ease her pain and appease the younger players, they decided on an ice cream party.
That was how Fridolina found herself sitting in front of a bowl of vanilla ice cream while her teammates uttered words of reassurance to her that she did not want to hear.
“Don’t worry, Frido. We’ll find you a man who’s worthy of you.“ Mapi grinned while pouring sprinkles on top of her chocolate ice cream.
Fridolina looked up at the defender: “Oh… uhm… thanks.“
“Men are so overrated though.“, Cata rolled her eyes.
“Can we change the topic?“, Fridolina asked carefully. She did not want to ruin the mood but she hoped to draw the attention away from herself.
Ingrid gave her a gentle smile, ready to help her friend out.
“My sister will start her job as a photographer for Barca tomorrow.“, she revealed, visibly proud.
Mapis face lit up with excitement: “That’s amazing, Ingrid.“
“Yes, and well deserved. Your sister is so talented.“, Fridolina agreed, relieved but also genuinely happy.
Ingrid beamed, flattered on her sisters behalf: “She will be so happy to hear that.“
Esmee served herself another portion of ice cream: “I’m excited to meet her.“
“You will love her.“, Ingrid promised.
“I’ve no doubt about that.“, Esmee laughed.
“And Mapi and I are making Frido a list for potential blind dates.“, Aitana announced.
Fridolina flinched at the mention.
As she looked over, her two teammates had already scribbled names on an empty sheet of paper.
“How do you even know so many people?“
Mapi shrugged nonchalantly: “We just do.“
“You need to slow down, girls. I’m not sure if I want to date any man right now…“, Frido stopped them.
Mapi and Aitana shared a surprised look.
“Oh, sorry. We only wanted the best for you, Frido. That’s all.“, Aitana apologized.
The Swedish football player nodded: “I know. But maybe I just need break for now.“
Ingrid put a hand on her friends forearm and said softly: “That’s okay, we understand it. You two had been together for quite a while.“
“Yes, but it hasn’t felt right anymore for a long time.“, the blonde admitted.
Alexia shrugged, eating fruit out of her ice cream bowl: “It happens. Sometimes you just fall out of love with someone and you can’t do anything about it.“
The words of her captain resonated deeply with Fridolina who enjoyed the evening more than before now.
“Ingrid, let me breathe.”, you chuckled. It was your first workday for Barcelona as their new photographer, but your sister prevented you from taking photos as she embraced you in a long hug.
“No.”, she shook her head, clearly not ready to let you go yet.
“Please? Hi, everyone.”, you waved politely with your free hand at the players who slowly arrived at the training grounds.
“Hi.”, Mapi grinned.
“Good to see you, Mapi.”, you replied truthfully, relieved to see some familiar faces.
“So happy you got the job.”, the Spanish defender told you thrilled.
“Me too. Also, hey, Caro and Frido!”, you added delighted to see the Scandinavian players.
“Finally, another Norwegian.”, Caroline winked at you.
“Ignore her. Sweden is so much better.”, Fridolina teased her teammate, but swallowed hard at the sight of you, you were even more beautiful than she remembered. Instead, the blonde tried to play down the excitement she felt while looking at you and hugged you casually.
“We won’t discuss this right now.”, Ingrid decided laughing.
“No, but I’m sure you can show me all the great places in the city.”, you glanced at the footballers you knew since your sister played along side them in Wolfsburg.
“That’s more Frido’s thing. She can help you with that and I can teach you the language.”, Caroline declared.
“That’s my sister. Why can’t I show her around and teach her?”, your sibling wanted to know pouting playfully.
Looking between them, Marta announced:” I’m sure you girls will find a way.”
And they did, you easily felt at home in Barcelona with the help of your sister and her friends. It was different to when you visited Ingrid with your family in the past. Step by step you fell in love with the city and its inhabitants.
A few weeks in and you were doing a photo shooting outside with Fridolina for the summer Barca merchandise. The late afternoon sun made her hair and skin appear golden and you had to pause your preparations to remark:” The outfit looks great on you, Frido.”
“Oh, thank you.”, she beamed at you, making these sporty clothes look effortlessly elegant and timeless.
“It’s true.”, you smiled back while taking a few test shoots to see how well the light, her profile worked together.
“Can I ask you something? When did you start taking photos?”, Fridolina asked you curiously.
Hearing her questions made your smile grew even brighter. “A long time ago. I was like 15 or 16. when I got into it.”, you remembered fondly at the memory.
 “I guess Ingrid and your brother were the test models.”, the Swedish player thought out loud.
“Yes, she was the reason why I became interested in taking sports related pictures.”, you admitted.
Fridolina laughed lightly: “Did she bully you into taking photos of her while playing?“
“No, I saw that they never had any photos of their games so I started doing it. The first ones turned out awful.“, you grinned as you thought back.
The Blonde shrugged: “Isn’t it always like that? The first times I played football, I wasn’t great at it either.“
“You’re right. But taking photos of you is so easy, you’re a natural.“, you replied while you pressed the shutter a few times.
She even looked beautiful doing casual small talk.
But you realized that the collar of her jacket was upturned.
You put your camera down and come closer to fix it for her. After all, the goal was to present the retro looking Barcelona jacket.
Fridolina smiled gratefully at you: “I mean I’ve already done this a few times. But I don’t think I’ve ever felt as comfortable as I do right now.“
You bit your lip to keep yourself from grinning too wide about that compliment.
“Frido, you’re beautiful inside and outside.“, you said without taking your eyes off of her.
Her cheeks slightly blushed: “That’s so sweet of you.“
“Want to change into the second outfit?“, you suggested, giving both of you a break to focus back on the task at hand.
“Sure.“, the Swede said and disappeared into the changing room.
You took a deep breath, grounding yourself again while you waited.
Fridolina emerged in light blue jeans and a slightly oversized shirt in their signature colours that said Barca across the chest.
You shook your head in awe. This woman could literally wear anything.
“Oh, I love that outfit even more.“, you complimented her.
She looked down at herself: “You do?“
“Yes.“, you said while taking a few photos of her.
“I think it would look cute on you too.“, Frido smirked.
“Do you think so?“
You barely finished your question when you noticed that she was already in the motion of pulling the shirt over her head.
“What are you doing?“, you asked laughing.
The football player just handed you the garment: “Here.“
Stunned, you looked at it and the back to Fridolina standing there in her underwear: “Uhm thanks?“
She rolled her eyes with a smile: “No, put it on.“
“Fine.“, you gave in and did as you were told before adding: “But it’s definitely not warm enough for you to just stand there in your sports bra.“
“I guess I should get dressed again.“, she laughed.
You returned the shirt to your model: “Here are your clothes. Hey, that’s my camera.“
You had failed to realize that she had taken your camera and was now taking photos of you with a big grin on her face.
You usually hated being photographed but Fridolina looked too happy so you bit back any comment.
“I’m not leaving without taking a photo of you too.“
“I guess that’s fair even though I’m not as pretty as Ingrid.”, you turned your gaze away from the Swedish woman and looked at the fresh cut grass instead.
“What? Who says? The beauty obviously runs in the family.”, she disagreed.
“Well, my ex-girlfriend said that.”, you shrugged.
“She was a liar then. You’re gorgeous.”, Fridolina observed.
“That means a lot coming from such a stunning woman herself.”, you confessed smiling timidly. For a moment you paused before asking her:” Do you want to see the pictures I made right now or tomorrow?”
“Aw, thank you. Can I see them now?”, curiously she handed you your camera back, where you started to go through the photos you took of her.
“Of course.”, you nodded politely.
 Being this close to you made the blondes heart flutter.
“They’re so nice, y/n.”, Fridolina muttered, suddenly breathlessly.
“Glad you like them. So, I’ll see you before the game tomorrow?”, you changed the topic lightly.
“Sure.”, she beamed at you.
“Goodbye, Frido.”, you responded warmly.
“See you soon, y/n.”, the footballer replied, eagerly anticipating your reunion.
On the next day, you didn’t find the time to catch up with her as you were busy taking the pictures of the arriving players in their pretty matchday outfits. All of them arrived in style.
During the game you were not mesmerized by their beauty but by their beautiful game which you tried to capture with your camera. This was why you wanted to be here, you thought, to watch the best team in Europe thrive in front of your lens. Somehow the Swede always managed to get your attention as you would notice later while seeing through the photos.
When the referee blew the final whistle, Fridolina run to you to pull you into a hug, while you whispered into your ear:” Frido you had an amazing game.”
“Thanks”, she hummed, while her blue eyes sparkled with excitement.
“Well played.”, you couldn’t help but to rave about her performance.
“Appreciate it.”, the fellow Scandinavian mumbled.
“But I got to go around now to take some more shots.”, you explained winking, as you stepped away from her hug. Which had to be completely friendly and nothing more, right? Because she was 100 % straight. Nothing seemed gay about her. Still some signals your sister’s best friend send were quite confusing.
“Y/n, wait!”, Fridolina yelled your name nervously, attempting to hold you back.
“What?”, you turned your head confused.
“Frido, there you’re. My friend wants to meet you.”, Mapi grinned at her taller teammate, nodding into a direction of a very handsome man waiting in the stands, the sight of him, making your stomach turn. He and her would be a pretty couple.
To your surprise, Fridolinas gaze remained fixed on you.
Reluctantly she turned to Mapi, deliberately ignoring the man.
“Mapi, I’m sorry but I’m not interested. I was about to ask y/n to go on a date with me.“, she apologized but her voice was firm and determined.
“What?!“, you and Mapi gasped at the same time, looking at each other in confusion.
Fridolina remained unimpressed: “Uhm yes. I’m actually not straight. You all just assume that because I date men too.“
After a moment of silence, Mapi started to grin like she only now understood the joke that you failed to get: “No, you always dated men since we know you.“
“That still doesn’t make me straight.“, Fridolina replied matter-of-factly.
You would be impressed by her attitude, if you were any less confused.
Mapi had stopped smiling and watched her teammate attentively.
“That’s right.“, you agreed slowly.
The Swede turned back to you: “So… would you go out with me?“
You nodded: “I’d.“
“Really?“, Fridolina asked again.
This time, your face finally reflected your excitement. You smiled: “Yes.“
You both just beamed at each other.
“Ingrid! You won’t believe it!“, Mapi bounced up and down as she called for your sister.
Ingrid joined the three of you: “Believe what?“
“Frido asked your sister out!“, Mapi yelled.
You cringed slightly, hearing it out loud and refused to look at Ingrid.
“What do you mean Frido asked her out? Like on a date?“, your sister asked. Her perfect eyebrows knotted together.
Mapi nodded enthusiastically: “Yes, exactly that.“
“That’s so cute.“
“Oh my god, Frido. You’re full of surprises!“, Ona interrupted, patting the blonde football player on the shoulder and you silently wondered who else had overheard your conversation.
Fridolina raised her eyebrows: “Am I? Or did you just never ask?“
“You’re right. We never asked. We just assumed you were straight. Sorry.“, Ona admitted but she looked less sorry and more happy for her teammate.
You thought their reactions were kind of adorable.
“It’s fine. I just didn’t think I owed you an explanation.“, Fridolina replied politely.
You could not help yourself. You gently took her hand in yours and squeezed it once. There was no way you could contain your admiration for her.
“You didn’t need to.“, you said softly.
Her attention shifted back to you. “The fact that I dated men before you doesn’t change my feelings for you, I hope you know that.“
“During that photoshoot I felt it. But I thought you might just be nice. Now I know I was wrong.“, you chuckled.
Fridolina visibly bit back a smile: “Sorry. I was hoping I’d send the right signals.“
“You did! I was just blind and - … “
You were unable to finish your sentence. Fridolinas soft lips pressed against yours all of a sudden, right there on the field in front of everyone.
“Maybe this was clearer?”, she asked in a hopeful tone.
“Yes, it was.”, you nodded smiling.
In the background you heard your sister telling her girlfriend” Okay, Mapi, I think I need a bit of time to get used to my best friend kissing my sister.”
“You better should hurry up. They’re hitting it off right away.”, the Spaniard punched her playfully in the side, wearing an amused grin on her lips while watching you being showered with kisses by the Swede.
“I see that.”, Ingrid laughed. She knew it would be weird at first, but seeing her favourite people being happy with each other warmed her heart.
For once you didn’t have your camera to capture the moment but the picture of the first kiss with Fridolina after the match would be forever engraved inside your brain.

summary : joao and u prefer to keep your love life private, secret even, but the the flirty looks and knowing smirks from across the room are becoming unbearable.
cw : smut obv, lil bit of alejandro x reader, sneaky joao and reader, unprotected sex (wrap it b4 u tap it ppl), make outs, cursing, me not bothering to accent his name lol sorry
---
you were starting to regret going out to dinner with your friend alejandro and his teammates.
the only reason why being that one of his teammates had become more.
hooking up with joao felix on the down low has been fun, you won't lie. and while you enjoy sneaky quickies and flirty messages, there were times where you wish you could just tear off his clothes and fuck that smug smile right off his face.
you were currently sitting in a restaurant, a private room and table was booked for alejandro, his barcelona teammates, and their plus ones. you and alejandro had become inseparable ever since you met in spain a few years ago, and you had grown increasingly close to his teammates.
very close to a certain mr felix.
the first time you met joao, it wasn't anything magical, you just thought he was fit. alejandro had introduced you to him when he came on loan to barca recently, and you just couldn't get him out of your head.
it seems that the feelings were mutual, as that very same night he followed you on instagram. you, of course, played it cool and took your time following him back (you waited like 10 seconds).
from there, you two messaged often, especially after the team would hang out.
joaofelix79 : u got home safe?
ynsusername : ofc i did
ynsusername : alejandro wouldn't let anything happen to me
joaofelix79 : that's good.
you two started messaging more, sometimes even calling each other late in the night. you couldn't explain why, maybe he was just fun to talk to.
you would complain to him about work, and he would complain about a mistake he made in training.
eventually, you two started hanging out alone.
not anything crazy, of course.
joaofelix79 : hey
joaofelix79 : js noticed im about to drive by ur place
joaofelix79 : wanna get some ice cream? my treat
how could you refuse that?
it wasn't all that shocking to you when a surprise ice cream date turned out into a steamy make out session on a bench in a park in the middle of the night.
"we should stop, someone might see us.." you murmured against the portuguese boy's lips, you yourself making no effort to.
"ok, if that's what you want." he pulled away from you, his fluffy hair disheveled thanks to you.
"5 more minutes" you placed your lips on his again, feeling him smile against them.
from there, weekly hangouts became almost nightly. he would pick you up in his car, and you would drive anywhere. you just needed an excuse to make out. you even put your number in his phone.
eventually, joao grew tired of the make outs that led to nothing, and you did too.
12:03 am - joao : wyd
12:03 am - you : was ab to put some instant noodles in the microwave lol
12:04 am - joao : dont bother
12:04 am - joao : come eat at my place
12:05 am - joao : i ordered uber eats
of course, you went, and you two ate the chinese takeout he bought. you two sat and laughed together at his attempt at using chopsticks.
and then you found yourself perched on his kitchen counter, him in between your legs while he rammed into you mercilessly. you left red marks across his back and biceps.
"my god, you feel amazing, querida." joao's words were muffled as his head was nuzzled into your neck, his lips caressing your hot skin with every word he spoke.
"i'm so fucking close, joao.." you whined and whispered curses while your hands found themselves travelling from his arms to his hair, tugging on the soft brown locks.
"let go, y/n, i'm close too!" he removed his flushed face from your neck and connected your lips together again, breathing heavily into your mouth.
you came undone with a sharp whine, arching into him. his thrusts became sloppy as he let out a long groan against your lips, releasing into the condom.
that was the first time you two had fucked, and it definitely would not be the last.
his house was usually where you two would hook up because it was so big, and you didn't have to worry about anything when you were there.
you two fucked anywhere - on the bed, in the shower, on the couch, even in the laundry room.
you found that it didn't really matter where you were. if either of you were craving the other, it happened right then and there. it was fun. it kept you on your toes, kept things fresh and fun.
but it became a curse when you two were at a team dinner.
---
"si, i told him he could go fuck off if that was what he wanted. that guy needs to learn some manners, for fucks sake!"
the table erupted in laughs as pedro went on about some story that you weren't really paying attention to to be honest. you were sat right beside your good friend, alejandro, who was very intrigued in pedro's story and hadn't spoken to you more than twice this evening.
across from you was joao. he was wearing a black dress shirt that hugged his biceps perfectly along with black dress pants. of course, to make your life more difficult, the top two shirt buttons weren't done up.
one more open button and everyone would've seen the hickey you gave him the other-
"isn't that right, y/n?"
alejandro was speaking to you, and you were too busy staring at joao's biceps to hear him.
"hmm? sorry?"
"i said, it was you who i walked in on dancing silently in the darkness darkness of your room, right?" alejandro smirked at the sight of your cheeks going red, this memory being nothing short of embarrassing to you.
"yup, that- uh- that was me..!" you looked down in humiliation as the table giggled at alejandro's unexpected story about you. he loved embarrassing you, it was his thing. he found it fun because he thought of you like a little sister.
you looked up to see joao, laughing along with everyone else at the table, finding amusement in your misery. you shot him a playful glare.
"i'm only teasing, mi corazón." alejandro chuckled before ruffling your hair. "ale!" you whined, fixing your hair. his friends teased you. they all thought of you as their little sister, especially you being one of the younger ones.
the men continued on with their conversations as you continued looking at joao from your end of the table, only this time, he was looking at you too.
he was taking a slow sip of his water, eyeing you down.
joao wasn't the only one dressed all sexy tonight. you wore a short black satin strapless dress that hugged your figure perfectly. you thought of joao when you picked it out, you thought of him while putting it on, and you thought of him taking it off.
it seems that joao had the same thought. the way he looked at you from under his lashes gave you the impression that your outfit choice was a smart one.
you sent him a quick wink.
he smirked and dropped his eyes to your cleavage, widening them.
you rolled yours before continuing to eat your steak.
---
you couldn't take it anymore.
something the way he laughed with everyone at the table, his hair flowing when he turned his head. he had on a gold rolex and a gold chain, both glistening under the lighting over the table.
it was the way he carried himself with such confidence. he knew he was hot, and he knew you knew it too. that confidence definitely carried over into bed.
finally, you got up from the table, excusing yourself to "make a call".
shooting joao a quick look, he took the hint. his eyes followed you, watching you exit the restaurant and head towards the parking lot. after an agonizing 30 seconds or so, joao told everyone he forgot something in his car, and made a beeline to where he saw you last.
he saw you standing outside his car, waiting for him. he made his way towards you.
"so, who did you have to call?" he teased, his eyes waiting for your reaction. you scoffed and rolled your eyes, "very funny.".
you wrapped your arms around his neck, bringing him closer to you as you leaned against his car. he smiled down at you before looking over your figure.
"nice dress.."
"just take it off."
---
you two had squeezed into the back of his car, leaving nothing but surrounding street lights as your light source. you straddled his waist, rocking your hips while you smashed your lips against his. you two were breathing heavily, occasionally breaking the kiss to huff and puff before going back at it again.
joao's arms were wrapped tightly around your waist, his right hand occasionally sliding down to cup and smack your ass. his actions made you yelp into the kiss. your arms were everywhere. cupping his face, on his shoulders, in his hair, on his chest, on his abs.
it was like you two hadn't seen each other in years. like you were drowning and the only way to breathe was.. this.
your smooth rocking of the hips created a hard bulge in joao's pants which felt great on your throbbing clit. he groaned into the kiss, breaking it for you to breathe and to leave kisses down your neck.
"so, fucking, horny" he broke each word with a kiss. you moaned above him. "you can't even last one dinner party without my hands all over you?" you wanted him to shut up, so you grabbed his face in your hand and smashed your lips against his.
you started unbuttoning his shirt, but your hands were too shaky to do it quickly. "take this off, god damnit!" you groaned as he laughed and began unbuttoning it himself. you hiked your dress up and helped him with the last few buttons.
you moved his shirt partially off him, leaving it on his arms since you couldn't be bothered. you leaned down to kiss his chest while looking up at him. he was smiling down at you, hands rested behind his head.
he brought you back up to pull the top of your dress down just enough so that your tits would pop out. when they did, he licked his lips. now it was his turn to lean down and suck on them, making you tilt your head back and pant.
"joao, we dont have time for this-"
"shhh, patience princesa. don't worry." he went back to sucking.
"they're going to realize we're gone- joao!"
he couldn't bring himself to leave your tits alone, but when he did, you quickly reached down and undid his belt , not even bothering to pull it off.
"estás mesmo excitado, não é?" (you're really excited, aren't you?)
you nodded and bit your lip.
he unzipped his pants and pulled his hard cock out of his boxers. you raised yourself up on your knees and hovered over his dick. he held it up with one hand, the other resting on your hip.
"are you ready for me?" he teased.
"enough questions." you cut his teasing short as you took his cock in your hands yourself and sunk down on him.
joao hissed at the unexpected pleasure. he looked up at you, gasping for air above him before tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.
"move for me, bebé."
you did as you were told, lifting your hips up until just the tip of him was left in you, before sinking back down on him, agonizingly slow.
he shuddered at the feeling.
you picked up the pace, causing the car to rock. your tits bounced in his face, causing him to twitch inside you.
"fuck, y/n, you're amazing-" you laugh breathlessly above him, your hands resting on his shoulders for stability while his gripped your hips tightly.
after some time, your thighs were burning, and you were getting tired. joao picked this up, taking control. his grip on your hips was put to some use as he moved your hips up and down for you. he lifted and dropped you so easily and made you move so much faster. you felt the air leave your lungs and arched your back to stick your tits in his face.
he grinned as he thrusted his hips up, meeting you in the middle. he tilted your body back, and started to hit the spot inside you that made you see white.
your pants and gasps turned into moans and whines as you felt the bundle of heat in your core.
"joao, i'm close" you warned, your nails digging into his shoudlers.
"i'm right there with you, baby, oh," he groaned and grunted as he watched him drill into you faster and faster. "meu deus, foda-se!" (my god, fuck!) he hissed with gritted teeth as he felt you clench around him.
his pace was too much for you to hold back. you let go with a gasp and moan, your hand slamming and sliding down the steamy car window, leaving a print.
joao was, indeed, right there with you. he pulled your body off of him and set you down on his thighs hastily before stroking his red, throbbing cock, cumming all over your stomach with a string of grunts and pants.
you both sat there in the hot and dark car in disbelief, covered in sweat and panting, after having the most mind blowing sex you've ever had. you leaned your forehead against his and smiled. he chuckled before teasing you once more.
"let's go. we don't want to miss dessert, do we?"

Trouble (FC Barcelona Femení X Putellas/Barca Reader)
Tumblr media
Warnings: b*llying, injuries, Foster Care mentioned
Summary: your Mom gets a call from school Case they Wonder where you are or If your Mom Just forgot to call in sick for you.
It was just a normal day. Which for you didn't mean it was a good one. You were supposed to be at school. Cause that's actually where your Mama Alexia had dropped you off.
But as soon as her car was out of sight some of your bullies walked over. They hated you for no reason. Always calling you stuff that could be translated to 'orphan annie' or something close to that. Alexia had adopted you three years ago. You were 12 years old back then. So you had Family now but they didn't seem to care about that. Your bullies didn't hesitate to get physical either. Usually it's just you being pushed. Which was already bad enough but today it was even worse. They basically dragged you into a corner of the bathrooms inside and no one seemed to care.
They threw some punches and kicks and took your Phone away. Throwing it on the floor. Stomping on it so it broke. They left you with what was gonna be a black eye , bruises on your face and your ribs & a bloody nose. You were an athlete but you knew you couldn't have taken on all 6 of them. That was just not realistic . Your bullies also said they would do worse things if you tell on them.
You stayed in the bathroom until classes started before you managed to leave without anyone seeing you. Hiding away by the beach. There was a place that was always quiet. Cause it was hidden away. You sometimes used to sleep there when you were still in the Foster system. You were hugging yourself. Knees pressed against your chest, tears streaming down your face. Your breathing became uneven and you were having a full on Panic Attack around a Minute later. All you wanted was your Mami or one of your aunts to tell you that things would be okay. But you were all alone. Scared and in pain.
At the same time at school everyone claimed they didn't see you. Including your bullies. Bad for them cause the teacher found it weird that your Mami didn't call to sign you out for the day. Because the rare Times you missed school were always excused by Alexia. So what the teacher did was call your Mami, who was concerned and surprised Hearing this.
"Sí, estoy segura de que estaba en la escuela. ¡La dejé allí!(yes I am sure she was at school. I dropped her off!)" Your Mami replied, she was pretty sure you wouldn't skip school. But she could be wrong. Which was why she said she would make her way over to school to see what they can do to find you. Cause the last time your phone was on was on school grounds. twenty minutes after your Mama had dropped you off. Alexia was out with Mapi, Ingrid, Ona & Aitana. So they all joined her. At school they found her smashed Phone on the restroom floor.
"¡Eso es malo!(that's bad!)! Mapi said once they told them about the Phone.
"Lo es. Tenemos que encontrarla.(it is. we have to find her.)" Aitana answered.
"Algo debe estar muy mal. ¡Estoy preocupada por mi pequeña niña!(something must be very wrong. i am worried about my little girl!)" Your Mami always called you her little Girl. Didn't matter that you were in your teenage years.
"¡Encontraremos a nuestra sobrina!" Ona stated. Ingrid nodded her head in agreement.
"yes we will!" She said.
While they stood there a girl walked over to them. She was also a target of the Girls who bullied you.
"Hola, eres la mamá de y/n, ¿verdad?(hello, you are y/n's mom, right?)" She asked Alexia. The other Girls looking at her.
"Sí, lo soy. ¿Por qué?(yes I am. why?)"your Mami answered.
"Hay algunas chicas que la intimidan.(there are some girls that bully her.)" She explained.
"¡¿disculpe?!(excuse me?!)" Ona replied. Everyone looked at the girl. They were shocked, sad and angry.
"A mí también me intimidan, entre algunos otros.(they bully me as well. among a few others.)" The Girl explained the situation to them and she told them their names, saying that she saw that they also cornered you this morning and dragged you to the bathroom. It's what they do alot.
"¿cuales son sus nombres?(what are their names?)" Ingrid asked. Your mami and aunts didn't know whether to cry or go and give the bullies a piece of their minds.
The girl gave them the names of the bullies and also her own so they could use her Name talking to the principal about this. She revealed that her name was Marisa. They thanked her. Ona & Aitana went to talk to the principal while Mapi, Ingrid and your Mami went to look for you.
Your Mami thankfully had the right idea and knew about the hiding place you used to sleep at before she took you in and adopted you.
She saw you sitting there, leaned against the rocks. You eyes were closed now & and you tried fighting sleep, the pain, crying and panic attack made you feel exhausted.
"y/n!" Your Mami yelled and ran over to you. Followed by Ingrid & Mapi. You managed to look at them and you could tell how shocked they were. All three of them close to tears.
"Mami, tías, me duele.(Mami, aunties, It hurts.)" You told them. Sniffling softly.
"Estas segura ahora(you are safe now.)" Mapi replied to you texted Ona & Aitana to let them know that they found you. Your Mami picked you up and you winced. She kissed you forehead.
"Nosotras vamos al hospital!(we are going to the hospital.)"
"it all will be okay!" Ingrid told you.
"Gracias por ayudarme.(thank you for helping me.)" You whispered out.
"Mi pequeño amor, no tienes que agradecernos, somos tu familia.(my little love, you don't have to thank us! we are your family.)" Alexia told you. You could tell your Mami was blaming herself for this. Even though this wasn't her fault.
At school the principal suspended the girls and Ona had informed them that they would hear from the Police for what had happened. Mapi had told them in the text, that you looked all banged up. You were on your way to the Hospital now, Mapi driving. Ingrid in the Passanger seat while your Mami sat in the Back with you. Holding you close without hurting you more then you already were.
The doctor at the hospital checked you over and got some X-rays on your ribs done. Turned out that you had two broken ribs from them kicking you. Your nose thankfully wasn't broken though.
You were sent home with the order to rest up, ice your ribs and nose. Also pain meds were given to you.
Ona and Aitana met you there. A Police officer was also there and you told them what had happened. They also went to Marisa.
Your Mami helped you to take a shower before you got to rest in bed. Having a right grip on Alexia so she couldn't get out of bed.
"Mami, por favor quédate.(Mami, please stay.)" You told her, sniffling softly. She kissed your forehead.
"Está bien, cariño.(okay, sweetheart)" She whispered out and held you close.
A few days later you felt a bit better but still had to rest and you weren't allowed to do anything physical. So no Football for you. Which sucked cause you just made your debut with the Senior Team, playing with your mami and aunties.
There also would be legal consequences for your bullies but you had No Idea what they would be.
But one thing you knew for sure. You could always count on your Family.

| Jersey |
Going to a Classico in a Rodrygo jersey may not be as funny as you might think if you're having an illicit affair with Pedri…
Tumblr media
Warning(s): Infidelity, fear kink, angry sex, unprotected p-in-v, meanie!Pedri, pinching, biting, choking, dacryphilia, jealousy, doggy style, painal, he's strict, Daddy kink, bondage-ish, degradation, Madrid x Barca rivalry, threatened forced indecent exposure, morally grey themes. MDNI.
MASTERLIST
“Think you're so funny, don't you, you little brat?” Pedri's voice is harsh and his tone menacing. You sob and shake your head from your position against the wall of the window perch that your form is twisted up on. “Maybe I should do a joke of my own and open these blinds here” he roughly leans forward to fumble with said blinds, the sudden change in his position causing for his thick cock to slide even deeper inside your hot and gushing cavern. “And let everyone see you for the dirty little slut that you are” he speaks over your weak little no Daddy pleads, his intimidating ire having no regard for your tears and sobs.
You thought you were a genius for this… not.
Of course, if you had only worn the jersey that now hung above your head tangled up in your arms in support of your boyfriend, it wouldn't have been so offensive or earth shattering. You simply would have been a girlfriend showing her support. But it wasn't that simple and you weren't that innocent.
No.
Instead, you had smirked when your eyes had landed upon this season's Rodrygo home jersey that he had gotten you in your size. In your defense, you couldn't find anything to wear and this had seemed like a funny killing two birds with one stone solution back then when you were picking out a fit for the eventful day. Show your boyfriend your devotion to him and if you managed to catch the eye of your good friend while wearing the rival club's jersey, it'd make for a nice rile. That was the plan.
Except, you did more than catch said friend's eye.
As your boyfriend always left way earlier on game days, it was usual for you to arrive a few minutes before the match at the arena by yourself. Sometimes it was like this, other times you were accompanied by the girlfriends and wives of his club mates. Today you were alone and were supposed to meet with your fellow girls on the stands reserved for the lot of you. Only, before you could even reach the bowl, someone had snatched you away and out of the crowd in the blink of an eye. Before you could let out any form of protest or even figure out what was going on, you had been pushed into a dark room and the person had locked the door before turning to hover over your form that he always managed to somehow tower over.
Pedri.
And though the lighting in the room was scare -mere slits of the stadium lights cutting through the drawn blinds-, his unimpressed expression was bright as day.
The male didn't speak much for he was in a hurry -you couldn't figure out how he even managed to slip away from his team at a time like this in the first place-, that did not stop him from bending you over and walking you to the window perch whilst one of his hands gave you a proper spanking and the other pushed your offensive jersey up until it served as a lock for your arms.
“Don't move!” Pedri barks when you try to move from your uncomfortable position again but his order only makes you clench harder. “Slut” he grunts at the wanton moan you let out and he delivers a harsh spank to your blushing ass, the wild snapping of his hips causing for the most obscene sounds to form from the collision of his heavy sack with your sopping cunt.
“Oh, oww, Daddy, fuck!” You rock back and forth on your side from how Pedri has you positioned under him. “OhmiGod!” Your lower leg is placed behind your upper leg -because you're lying on your hip- and Pedri keeps a firm hand under your elevated thigh to both prevent your legs from closing and also to fuck you as deep as his leaking cock can reach. “Please!”
“Tell me,” your mouth falls open and your brows furrow in pain when he reaches for one of your nipples and gives the nub a firm pinch. “You act out on purpose, don't you? Think you're just so smart” he pushes your leg further upwards and your back arches as a result of his poking in your organs, the overwhelming sensation causing for your head to loll to one side of the wall. His thick tip menacingly grazes your cervix. “All this so Daddy can put you in your little girl place—”
“Ouchie, Daddy, it hurts!” You complain through your moans but the pain of his rough fucking of your guts only adds to the fiery ever-growing knot between your hips.
“Good” Pedri's dark mop of short thick hair is already damp at the ends and a thick droplet of sweat runs down the tip of his nose. “It's supposed to, you brat” he is running out of time and that is only firing his anger up even more. “How will your bratty little ass learn otherwise, hm?” Your crumpled up Madrid jersey brings him some satisfaction whilst he fucks you dumb wearing his own but it is not enough.
You're not sorry enough yet.
He needs you to have you more pathetic than that.
Pedri doesn't care if the game will start in a few minutes now and he pushes the worry of explaining his disappearance to the side.
“Maybe I should make you parade yourself out to the bowl with your pretty tits hanging out after I am done with you” a pleading sob escapes you and pure terror flashes in your teary eyes.
“No, please, Daddy, I am sorry!” You know him well enough to know that he is the kind of crazy to make you do it. And you've always been a helpless little fiddle to his whim, brat or not.
“No?” His dark eyebrows furrow in faux disbelief as he fucks you harder and harder, one hand reaching for your drenched cunt to tickle it. Your shoulders shake in response. “But you chose to wear this pathetic little jersey. Surely, you prepared yourself for the possible consequences before acting upon your genius plan” you vehemently shake your head, giving him your puppy eyes even though they never work on the intimidating male. “And I am not going to let you walk out there wearing that thing” he glares at the white material twisted around your arms like it is some kind of hazardous trash. “It's bad enough that I've to see you with limp dick.” Yes, that's his name for your boyfriend who definitely deserves better.
“Please don't make me go out with my titties on display, Daddy, please!” Stars form in your vision when he slides in a particular direction and you can swear you feel his tip in the base of your stomach.
“No?” He mocks you in a baby voice— an imitation of your whiny one. “But why not?” Your ass stings from the spanks he gives to your ass with every other thrust, the fuck messy and wild because the narrow time window you have. “If you're big enough to challenge Daddy like this, surely you can handle something like that” your legs try to kick when he picks a pinchful of one of your hips and wrenches your tender skin left and right in a depraved punishing manner. “Wearing nothing at all is definitely better than wearing that anyway.” He furiously spits somewhere over his shoulder in disgust.
You open your mouth to try and beg your case but his rough taming of your pussy has suspended your thinking and speaking faculties and so you end up saying something completely different. “Oh, Daddy, just like that!” Your whole body tenses in anticipation and your muscles contract to welcome your nearing orgasm. “Oh!” Your back curves outwards and though he has your hips steeled in place, you begin to rock them along to his cock to the best of your ability.
Pedri looks at you in disbelief for a second before he slowly chuckles. “Of course” one of his hands roughly reach for your throat and he pulls you towards him in an awkward position. “Only you would be dumb enough to think that you can get away with your stunt this easily” you shudder against his mouth that he seals with yours in a primal and hungry kiss, a low and reverberating growl heating up the mouth lock as well your loins even more. Pedri's hot tongue swipes along every inch of your mouth that he can reach in his hurried and greedy swipes, his hips bringing the two of you closer to your edges. “Silly girl” he pants out after pulling back and you cannot help but let out pained cries because of how his teeth cruelly sink into your bottom lip.
“Pwea— ee!” You gasp and his savage bite on your mouth becomes the least of your worries when he suddenly pops his thick cock out of your stimulated cavern. “W- What—”
“Did you forget, vida?” Sarcasm laces the endearment and his unoccupied hand manhandles the upper half of your body into the wall so now you're face first against it. “This is a punishment… remember?” Your eyes widen when you feel him spread your legs and spit on your pucker that blinks up at him in shock. “How can you, when you're the one who was so eager to bring it upon yourself?” He gathers your juices on his tip by rubbing it against your drenched petals. You shudder because of how sensitive you are, your protestant pout pressing into the wall as you feel your orgasm slip from you.
“P- Please, Daddy…” But you already know, he is nothing like your sweet boyfriend who gives into your every demand at one bat of your lashes. No. Daddy is strict and knows his way around brats.
“No can do, little one” Pedri aligns himself atop your quivering asshole and begins to push, aware of the lack of time but stubborn and unwilling to let you off with this disrespect. “You brought it upon yourself” your mouth falls open and you cry loudly, hugging your head with your hoisted arms when your mostly virgin hole begins to stretch against his girth. “And you will take it with thanks” you feel his hands grip a thigh each and he wrenches you open for himself. “And when I am done with you, you will walk out of here with your slutty little ass stuffed full of my cum” the band of your butt squishes around his firm shaft and you hiss at the delicious pain, your needy pussy throbbing at how cruel he can get. “You will sit somewhere dark and alone in timeout and think about your actions and then you will write your sorry lines.”
You are subdued and limp against the wall, unable to form a response as a line of drool leaks out the corner of your mouth. You feel your body tremble when he pulls almost all the way out to push in again.
Pedri clicks his tongue and gives you a firm hit on your nether cheeks before grabbing a thick pinchful of the bruise that has formed on your spoilt ass because of his prior spanking.
“Is that clear?” His stern voice makes you shake in the sweet fear of his firm countenance that you're addicted to. He is so intimidating and always seems to know the right thing to do and say. Pedri is an expert at effortlessly handling you in a way you have secretly craved all your life and you can just never get enough of how small and handled he makes you feel when no one else has ever had it in them to do so.
“Y- Yes, sir” you obediently reply, brokenly whining when he pushes you back onto his cock with a beastly grip on your throat, the dominant action causing a thick blob of your arousal to patter on the perch underneath you.
Though this is not exactly the outcome you had hoped for by doing what you had done, you know it just as well as you know that you would abandon your morality for Pedri all over again if you had to, that if you could redo today, this is exactly where you would still wound up.
. . .
This is so awful, oh my God. Also, I know I always sacrifice Rodrygo but that's because he's my RMA bofi and I live this dilemma everyday as a Madridista TT

I can do it
Alexia x little sister reader
summary: waking up from acl surgery and Alexia being there for you and taking care of you.
~~~
The bright afternoon sun filtered through the curtains, illuminating the small hospital room where you lay groggy and disoriented. It had been a mixture of sadness and pain since your ACL injury during an intense match against Real Madrid. You had felt your knee buckle as you tried to get around a defender and instantly knew you had the same injury your sister had just recovered from and that every footballer feared.
You were 21 and had been playing with the Barca first team since you were 16. Your mom, Eli, and Alba were out of town, leaving your older sister Alexia to take care of you. She was quiet and reserved, but also fiercely protective of you. Despite her usually stoic demeanor, you knew she cared deeply for you and would help with your recovery as best as she could, even if you knew she would be a little overbearing at times.
~~~
As you tried to blink and get your eyes to focus, the silhouette of Alexia came into view. She was sitting in a chair by your bedside, her hair down, wearing a barca sweatshirt. Her eyes showed a mixture of relief and concern.
“Hey, you’re awake,” she said, her voice soft trying not to startle you.
“Alexia?” you croaked, your throat dry. "water please."
"of course, of course, here use the straw," she said as she scrambled to find the cup of water the nurses left for you and held it steady as you took a few sips. The cool liquid soothed your throat, and you could see her visibly relax as you drank.
“How are you feeling?” she asked, her eyes searching yours for any signs of discomfort.
“Like my leg got ran over by a truck,” you said as you tried to chuckle but ended up coughing.
~~~
Over the next couple of days you stayed at Alexia's flat and she made it her mission that you didn't move an inch, even after the doctor told you to start walking on your crutches and start adding some more movement into your routine.
On the fifth night at her flat, you got up off the couch using your crutches and started walking to the kitchen to get a snack haven not eaten in couple hours.
Alexia was sitting at the table working on something on her computer, when she noticed you hobbling into the room.
"Hey, what are you doing. You should be resting. You could have called me I can get you anything you need. What were you getting water, food. Go sit down i'll get it for you," she rambled as she shot up walking over to you and trying to guide you back to the couch.
"Alexia if you try to make me sit one more time I will leave and go to Mapi and Ingrid's, the doctor told me to move around more and I am going crazy just sitting on the couch. I am just getting a snack and then I will go sit back down and put my leg up as the doctor instructed."
Alexia’s expression shifted, a hint of defensiveness creeping in. She knew how bad the injury could be mentally and knew you weren't actually mad at her. She also thought that she was doing the right thing and helping you by doing everything for you. “I’m just trying to help you, Y/n. You need to focus on healing, and I want to make sure you’re okay.”
“I get that, but it’s a bit much sometimes, I feel like I can't even stretch or you tell me I'm overdoing it,” you replied, frustration bubbling up. “I’m not a child, Alexia.”
Her face fell slightly, and she crossed her arms, hurt evident in her eyes. “I’m just trying to care for you the best way I know how.”
“Yeah, but can’t you see I need some normalcy? Just a little bit of independence?” you snapped, your voice sharper than intended.
“I’m sorry if I’m being overbearing,” she said quietly, standing up from her chair. “I’ll give you some space.”
“Wait—”
But she was already gone, the front door clicking shut behind her. You lay back down on the couch against the pillows, anger and guilt swirling inside you. You felt bad for snapping, but the feeling of being smothered was hard to shake. You wanted her support, but you also wanted to feel like yourself again.
After a about an hour of silence, the door creaked open, and Mapi stepped in, her warm smile lighting up the room. “Hey, how’s my favorite patient?” she asked, her cheerful tone cutting through the tension.
“Just dealing with miss overbearing again,” you admitted, attempting to keep your voice light.
She raised an eyebrow, clearly curious. “Alexia being too protective again?”
“More like too much of everything,” you sighed, sinking deeper into the pillows. “I know she means well, but it’s like she thinks I can’t handle anything on my own.”
Mapi nodded knowingly. “I get it. She can be a bit… intense. But you have to understand, she’s worried about you. It’s not easy for her to watch you go through this, especially when she knows how hard it can be.”
“I know she cares, but I’m 21. I need some independence. It’s frustrating,” you said, frustration leaking into your voice.
“Believe me, I understand. I’ve been there with my own family,” Mapi said, sitting down on the edge of your bed. “But Alexia is just trying to cope with the situation in her own way. She’s always been your protector, since the day you were born.”
“Yeah, but it feels more like a cage sometimes,” you confessed, your voice softening.
Mapi smiled gently. “It’s a tough balance for her. Just give her a little time. She’ll come back around. Maybe a little chat about how you feel might help.”
You nodded, appreciating her insight. “Thanks, Maps. I really needed to hear that.”
“Anytime,” she replied. “You’re going to get through this. Just remember to take it one step at a time. And when you’re up and walking again, we’ll go out and celebrate.”
You chuckled, picturing yourself hanging out with all your teammates again. “That sounds like a plan.”
Just then, the door opened again, and Alexia stepped back in, looking a bit sheepish and like she had gone on a run. “Can I come in?” she asked hesitantly.
“Of course,” you replied, your heart softening at the sight of her.
“I’m sorry for how I reacted,” she began, her voice sincere. “I didn’t mean to crowd you. I just want to help, but I realize I might have gone overboard and we should both listen to what your doctor says first and foremost.”
You took a deep breath. “I’m sorry too. I know you care, but I need to feel like I’m still me, even in recovery.”
Alexia nodded, relief washing over her features. “I understand. I’ll try to give you more space. Just know I’m here whenever you need me.”
“Deal,” you said, a smile breaking through the tension.
Mapi stood up, sensing the moment was right for her to leave. “I’ll let you two talk some more. I have to get home anyways Ingrid is making my favorite dinner,” she said, giving you both a smile and a hug before she walked toward the door.
Once Mapi was gone, you turned to Alexia. “I love you so much and I know you are just trying to help me. I'll let you know if I need help for any reason and how about when I need to get up i'll let you know so you can be nearby in case I need help.”
“That sounds good,” she replied, her eyes brightening at the compromise.
With the air cleared, you both relaxed a lot more , Alexia only helping you after you tried something first or with stuff the doctor told you you couldn't do.
Tears III
Alexia Putellas x Child!Reader
Summary: A slow morning
Tumblr media
The day that Mami and Jenni break up starts with rain.
They'd sat you down on the sofa and explained that they weren't together any more. They loved each other but they weren't in love with each other.
You didn't understand that, not really, but you pretended that you did because that would make Mami and Jenni happy.
Jenni left the house. She left the house but she also ended up leaving Barcelona too for Mexico but she explained that even though she wasn't in love with your Mami anymore, didn't mean that she didn't love you with all her heart.
You think that you love Jenni too even though she left the country and the house.
You don't love any of the Barcelona girls nearly as much as you love Jenni so training was now difficult. You didn't understand them well. You were painfully shy and with Jenni gone, you stuck close to Mami. You branch out to Teeny's mummies sometimes because they have Teeny and Teeny's your favourite but that's about it.
You were getting better though, of that Alexia was sure. With the World Cup callup and everything going on, there was no choice but to take you with her.
Any progress you seemed to have made, immediately disappeared. You clung to Alexia like you thought something was wrong. When it wasn't her, it was Jenni.
It was like you didn't even know who the other Barcelona girls were. You clung so firmly to Alexia and Jenni that neither quite knew how to cope.
You had always been like this, skittish and scared and maybe Alexia enabled it a bit too much but she could never get the image of you in your incubator out of her mind.
You were so, so tiny and so, so sick and she was so scared to lose you that she caused this behaviour in you now.
"Mami," You say softly one morning.
You're tucked under Alexia's arm as the early morning Australian sun filters in through the curtains.
This is probably one of the other bad habits that Alexia had enabled. There was something in her that just couldn't sleep properly if you weren't tucked up next to her.
You didn't get any proper skin-to-skin contact until seven weeks after you were born and even then, you were still sickly so it was never for long.
Alexia had started cosleeping with you the moment it was safe. It grounded her. It soothed her to know that you were safe and protected in her arms.
"Hola, pequeñita," Alexia coos, sliding open her eyes," Do you want to get breakfast?"
"Please, Mami."
It's a rest day today and Alexia is more than happy to do whatever you want. This whole World Cup has been stressful on you and she's trying her best to make sure the rest of it runs smoothly.
A few of the other girls are already at breakfast and, like clockwork, you hide behind Alexia's legs as she loads up your plate.
"Pequeñita? Do you want to go and choose a table for us?"
You glance around the room and the way your Mami's teammates have already spread themselves out. You shake your head and move closer.
"Are you sure?" Jenni's voice from behind shocks you and you turn around to look at her. "Why don't we choose a seat so your Mami can fill her plate?"
You let go of Alexia's hand to take Jenni's as the adults swap plates.
It's more so Jenni choosing the table you sit at, partially filled with some of the Barcelona girls but it's the least filled in the room and at least you semi-know them.
You give them all a little wave because that's polite before you hide yourself in Jenni's neck. Her arms wrap around you easily. She used to hold you a little like this when you were littler and it makes you feel incredibly safe.
She feeds you bites of your breakfast as she speaks to the other Barca girls and she doesn't coax you out of your hiding spot and force you to interact with them.
Mami arrives soon after and takes the seat next to you and Jenni. She doesn't have to do much but eat her own food, though she keeps glancing at you.
Alexia can tell that you're still a bit sleepy, the type of sleepy that can only be fixed by a nap rather than waiting longer for you to wake up properly.
You're practically dead of the world on Jenni's chest but still awake enough to whine when Alexia takes you into her arms.
"No," You whine," Jenni." Your hand reaches out for her, finding purchase on the fabric of her t-shirt.
"It's okay," Jenni says," Go with your Mami. I'll be there to see you later."
"Promise?"
"Of course I promise. When have I ever broken a promise to you, pequeñita?"
"Never."
"That's right, never. I'll see you later."
You rest your head on Alexia's shoulder as she walks you back up to your room and get settled in bed again. She cards her fingers through your hair.
"Did you miss Jenni?" She asks.
You nod pathetically. "Miss Jenni."
"I'm sorry, pequeñita, but at least she's here now, huh?"
"We see Jenni later?"
"Well, she promised. You know she won't break a promise to her favourite girl."
"We can see Teeny too?"
"I'll have to call Ingrid but maybe, yes. Would that make you feel better, seeing Teeny?"
"Teeny and Jenni."
"Teeny and Jenni, that's right."
Astrology Observation #5
by : Brielledoesastrology (tumblr)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
finally another quite long astrology observation post that i havent made in like 1 year maybe.... Also happy halloween guys 🎃✨
- Brielle
Pisces mars really gotta be careful. I am being for real. These people have a really hard time realizing or knowing who their enemies are and who aren't. Most of them also can have anger or emotional breakdowns for things that they imagine themself or things that aren't even real. These are the type of people that suddenly hate you for no actual reason. This placement is the definition of "sometimes delulu is not always the selulu." They are also the type of people to start a whole drama or fight first because of their own delusions that aren't even real and then end up blaming other people.
.
Asteroid Klio (84) is such an underrated huge fame indicator/potential asteroid that people rarely talk about here in this community. This is the type of fame that is until history, the type of fame that makes someone a historical figure, or at least remembered in history.
.
I noticed a lot of pluto in the 7th house people enjoy admiring other people from social media. Sometimes they also enjoy following social media trends from following other people too especially stuff relating to skin care or makeup or anything else that they will think to give them that "glow up". (These types of influence will be stronger if the pluto is aspecting venus too). On the other hand if they aren't admiring they could easily be jealous or envying those people who they think that looks or are doing better than themself. Or They could easily attract jealousy or envy from other people too (beware of attracting people that drains u)
.
I've seen asteroid toro (1685) being prominent in the astrology natal charts of a lot of people that are bullies or being bullied or being accused of bullying. The asteroid was not named after a mythological figure but a person, but it really resonates with its Spanish meaning. "Toro" is "bull" in spanish. Usually if they aren't being bullied or a bully they usually have this intimidating look to people.
example of people who have asteroid toro (1685) prominent in their chart :
- Rihanna has asteroid toro (1685) conjunct her mars (0 orb)
(accused of being a mean girl)
- Kim Garam has asteroid toro (1685) conjunct her mercury (0 orb)
(accused of bullying)
- Cardi B has asteroid toro (1685) conjunct her mercury (1 orb)
(accused of being a mean girl)
- Hailey Bieber has asteroid toro (1685) conjunct her midheaven (1 orb)
( the public always accuses her of bullying or being a mean girl even for the pettiest reason )
- Marilyn Monroe has asteroid toro (1685) conjunct her sun (2 orb)
(From early on, Monroe was reputed to be difficult: bullied by misogynistic directors, and frustrated at her lack of control, she was cited as debilitatingly late and forgetful. Zanuck suspended Monroe in 1954 when she frustratedly refused yet another pin-up role)
.
I noticed most people with mars in gemini use the "spread rumors" (either fake or real ones) tactics for revenge or if they feel offended by something or someone. I am not surprised since gemini is ruled by mercury and mercury represents "communications" in general. But it works differently than virgo.
.
Mars in virgo revenge tactics are more into gathering proofs or receipts (either fake or real ones) then making it very detailed and very specific compared to mars in gemini .
.
I noticed both of the top male n female rappers in the rap game got asteroid hannibal (2152) prominent in their chart. Especially strongly aspecting mercury and 3rd house placements.
- Nicki minaj have asteroid hannibal (2152) conjunct her mercury and conjunct her neptune on sagittarius all on 0 orb.
- Eminem have asteroid hannibal (2152) conjunct his moon in aquarious in 1 orb in the 3rd house.
(for a context the asteroid hannibal is named after hannibal barca which he was the no.1 most greatest and most feared enemy of the roman empire)
.
I see so many people with Gemini moons really don't have a problem posting their emotions in social media publicly so all people can see. I also saw most of these people are very bad at keeping things privately to themselves. They can't really "cry or suffer in private" usually most of the time because of their own behavior.
.
Scorpio placements are not always private or very introverted like what most people say about the sign. I have seen many scorpio placements who just say what they think bluntly n they don't care if other people think that it is too deep or dark or offensive.
.
Fun fact : Did you know that the name asteroid Swift (5035) exactly conjunct taylor swift's sun in her astrology natal chart! Name asteroids r really interesting!!!!
.
This is controversial to say, but i have to say it. Not all women or girls who have lilith (1181) or black moon lilith (h13) prominent in their charts are a "girls girl / supporting each other women" or a "feminist". It is because most people with Black moon lilith (h13) or asteroid lilith (1181) have at least ever experienced a very long phase of their life of being cast out of a social group (well obviously this can be done by both genders either males or females social groups casting them out ).
.
But most of the time i see that for the Women or Girls who have Black moon lilith (h13) or asteroid lilith (1181) prominent in their chart have ever been at least ever experienced a very long phase of their life of being casted out by a social group of their female friends (most of the time because their female friends did something terrible/bad to them that leads the h13 lilith/1181 lilith women or girl being or feeling casted out from their group). This could lead to internalized misogyny about their feelings of women if they grew up without fixing this issue.
.
This is weird but i have seen many many many men who have venus - pluto in square,opposition or even conjunctions ended up being incels.
its never enough
barca femeni x platonic!alexia putellas x reader
summary: the team had to intervene after seeing the amount of things you own
warnings: overconsumption, financial issues, childhood trauma, angst
Tumblr media
you’ve always been a fighter, y/n.
growing up in a small, cramped apartment with not much more than a kitchen table and a flickering television, you learned early on how to make the most out of little. your world was filled with the sounds of exhaustion: the tired creaks of your mother’s joints as she came back from long shifts, the gentle rumbling of your stomach as you lay in bed at night wondering if tomorrow would bring a meal or just another day of uncertainty.
when you were younger, you were happy because you didn't know better. there was no one to tell you that many other kids didn't go through the poverty that you had to go through.
there were nights when you would curl up under a thin blanket, feeling the hunger gnaw at your insides, wishing for just a slice of bread or orange juice to ease the ache.
your mother worked tirelessly, holding down two jobs and often coming home with her eyes clouded from exhaustion, but she always made sure you had at least one decent meal a day, even if that meant sacrificing her own. the smell of burnt rice or old beans became an ordinary experience, an echo of sacrifices made out of love.
she sacrificed a lot, even if you started to resent her after seeing all of the rich kids at your school with no worries about when they're going to eat next.
you remember the days when you would sneak out to the local park, pretending that the kids from the academy didn’t have talking points that revolved around the latest gear or shiny new sneakers. you wore the same worn-out cleats for years that you found in a thrift store, and while those shoes may have drawn odd glances, they also pushed you to play harder, to train longer.
those white colored adidas cleats of yours slowly turned yellow and green overtime due to the grass stains.
the first time you were signed to an academy, it was through scholarships. you took public transport (sometimes without paying) back and forth from home to the academy from 6am to 9pm.
that’s where it all began—out in the sun-kissed fields—the heartbeat of your journey. every dribble, every sprint, made you feel alive. the coaches quickly noticed your raw talent; your feet danced like a lyrical melody, weaving in and out of opponents with fairy-tale grace.
they’d call you into training sessions meant for the older girls and suddenly, you found yourself in a world where your poverty didn’t define you.
many of the nice coaches offered to pick you up from your home in the poor neighborhoods outside of your city, knowing that they couldn't afford to not have you on the pitch.
those were the fabrics of the beautiful game that would one day pull you from those struggling days into a life of unimaginable opportunity.
your childhood academy, once you graduated high school, called you up to the senior team. the salary was small but it was enough to finally see breakfast, lunch, and dinner all in the same day instead of sacrificing one or the other. sometimes, you're lucky that you still have muscle and strength for someone who was not eating enough.
fast forward to after you turned nineteen, a year after your first senior team callup from your childhood club.. you were standing in the hallowed halls of barcelona, far away from home.
the weight of your dreams now intertwined with the club’s crest stitched delicately onto your new jersey. barcelona had been keeping an eye on you for years.
the contract you signed with the catalan team was something you could hardly comprehend—it felt surreal, almost like playing in a fantasy. the money you received dwarfed anything you had imagined during those starving nights as a child. suddenly, you had means far beyond what you had deemed possible.
the first time the signing bonus hit your account, you stared at the numbers blinking feverishly on your screen, unable to process it. the world opened up before you like a child’s storybook, each page filled with opportunity. and so, you rented a bright little apartment in the heart of barcelona, sunlight pouring through oversized windows, casting warm hues upon your brand-new life.
it felt like a fresh canvas; you could paint it any color you desired. and paint it you did—perhaps too much.
at first, it felt liberating. a new superpuff jacket from aritiza? an absolute must. four different colors? obviously, because how could you choose just one jacket? each item in the store beckoned to you like love notes, whispering promises of happiness that you’d long been denied.
body washes in five different scents? a practical necessity because—how could you ever pick just one that felt right? you bought them all, bringing home bags filled with excitement and haste, giggling as you unwrapped each item in your sunny living room, often spilling the contents across your pristine floor in a flurry, and marveling at your newfound abundance.
having a space to yourself where the shelves were always stocked, the floors were always cleaned, and the heater actually working was something that gave you more peace than you expected.
sometimes, looking around your apartment often made you realize that the walls were suffocating under the weight of your possessions. clothes spilled from closets, shoes lined the hallway and your closets, and accessories filled every surface; a delightful chaos really, yet one that made your heart race with a strange sort of anxiety.
you owned everything you ever wanted, but somehow, it still felt like a little too much.
your relationship with your teammates blossomed, particularly with alexia. she was a guiding light for you; her encouraging words sculpted you into a more confident player, and her laughter felt like a reminder that you were not alone in this world.
she took you in after seeing how much potential you had for a twenty year old. the way you'd tackle world-class forwards like you had ten years of experience under your belt was something that caught the spanish woman off guard.
at barcelona, you gained the closest companion in your life, esmee, your best friend.
esmee visited your apartment frequently, often gaping at the sheer amount of items you owned, her eyes wide as she stepped over a particularly extravagant pair of heels that you probably haven’t worn once.
“y/n, do you really need all of this?” esmee asked playfully during one of her visits, standing at the entrance as if she were an unwitting tourist exploring a museum filled with ridiculous wonders.
“of course! look at this,” you laughed, sliding on a pair of trendy sunglasses you had bought just that week.
“i could be a runway model with these prada ones.”
esmee chuckled, shaking her head in disbelief, careful not to trip over the plethora of colorful items sprawled about.
the dutch places her jacket in her walk-in closet, hoping to not mix it up with all of your other ones. seriously, it looked like a whole family lived in your apartment instead of yourself.
“the fashion runway maybe, but i genuinely wonder how many outfits you have.”
as the months went on, whispers began to circulate amongst the team, drawing a bit of humorous attention.
mapi once teasingly commented to alexia, “you know, i’ve never seen y/n in the same outfit twice. it’s like she has a new look every single day!”
alexia raised an eyebrow, thinking back to the countless intricate combinations you’d flaunted during practice and the matches that followed.
“are you serious?” she asked, tilting her head slightly.
“you think she actually has that many clothes?”
“esmee and i were talking,” mapi continued, her lips curling into a smirk,
“and we noticed that y/n always has new shoes, new clothing, she's always walking by with a new fragrance scent—it's hard to keep track. i don’t get it.”
the curiosity started to whirl in alexia’s mind. she respected you immensely and admired your skills, but now she felt a tug towards something deeper. the urge to check in, to see if this was just youthful exuberance or something more.
so, she decided to probe a bit further, casually nudging esmee one afternoon while both of them waited for practice to begin.
“does y/n have, like, spending habits?” alexia asked casually to esmee, pretending to tie her shoelaces, her expression deceptively nonchalant.
“not that it’s any of my business– nevermind.. who am i kidding, it is because i need to watch out for her.”
esmee looked a bit uneasy, weighing her words carefully.
“you know, she does get a lot of packages delivered to her apartment,” she admitted after a short pause.
“it worries me a little. she’s got a lovely place, but, um, some of the things she buys are expensive—like that vintage prada jacket she flaunts all the time.”
alexia nodded, her mind racing at the thought.
“okay, but how does she really feel about it? do you think she realizes it’s become…well, a problem?”
“i don’t want to start anything,” esmee replied quickly, clearly hesitant.
“but…i’ve noticed some little things here and there.”
a few days passed. you found yourself bustling through your apartment, obsessively tidying up as you waited for a batch of brownies to finish baking. the sweet aroma was filling the air, comforting and familiar, hard to resist.
you had always loved experimenting in the kitchen since having your own space. growing up, you had no idea what brownies were until your childhood academy threw an, "end of the season" party for getting top of the league. they were delicious, but you knew that your mother at the time only had enough to feed your rice, chicken, and pinto beans.
a knock broke your reverie. you wiped your hands on a dish towel and opened the door, revealing alexia dressed casually in a simple t-shirt and sweats, looking relaxed yet focused. she stepped in, offering you a warm smile.
“hey, y/n!"
"ale!!" you say, hugging her before leading her into your apartment.
"whats that smell? are those brownies?” ale asked, stepping over a pair of athletic shorts you’d carelessly discarded near your living room.
“mind if I grab one?”
“sure! they’re almost ready!” you chirped, feeling a bit of giddiness wash over you.
as you neglected the untidy piles around you to shuffling around the kitchen, you could feel alexia’s gaze wander.
she noticed your open closet door by your front door, she didn't notice the amount of jackets and shoes you had stored in there when she first walked in.
alexia knew that you didn't have a roommate, you or esmee would've told her. all of those items belong to you.
the older woman turned to you, her expression turning serious.
“y/n, listen,” she began slowly,
“i wanted to talk about something.”
you froze for a moment, piecing together the gravity of her tone. the brownies, still cooling, were suddenly secondary to her serious demeanor.
“what’s up?” you asked with a slight frown, putting the tray down on your kitchen island to focus on her.
“i’ve been meaning to bring this up,” she said, taking a deep breath.
“i heard some things about your, uh, spending habits, y/n. i think it might be good for us to talk about it?”
you instinctively shook your head, the edges of denial creeping in.
“my spending habits? what do you mean?” you asked, your voice suddenly edged with defensiveness.
you hoped that your bedroom door was locked, you thought inside of your head. that would’ve gave away all of your issues that alexia is concerned about.
“it’s not like i’m, you know, drowning in debt or anything.”
“i—I know that,” alexia kept her eyes locked with yours, her gaze gentle yet unyielding.
“but y/n, it’s a lot. i want to make sure you’re okay. i mean, it’s easy to go a bit overboard when you’ve finally got the chance to buy things you’d never dreamed of.”
“what do you mean? it’s not overboard,” you insisted, crossing your arms.
“i grew up fine, really, i am not–”
“y/n, please don’t lie to make yourself feel better.”
“alexia–i–i just…i like looking nice, and it’s not just about the clothes. it’s—you know, it makes me feel good.”
“trust me, i get that, really.” alexia's voice softened, understanding behind her words.
“but don’t you think all of this,” alexia points to all of your shoes in the hallway leading to your bedroom.
“could be something more? an underlying problem?”
your heart suddenly felt heavy.
“underlying problem? what are you saying, alexia?” the defensiveness you felt turned to an urgent need to protect the parts of yourself that had been so fragile for so long—the parts that still whispered fears of never being able to escape your past.
“i know how you grew up,” alexia said gently, the weight of her words settling like a blanket between you.
“almost everyone on the team knows, y/n. and it’s okay. we all love you but you don’t have to be afraid of going back there—I promise, you’re safe now.”
you shifted uncomfortably, grappling with the urge to retreat, but alexia’s words were like a balm, soothing your frayed edges. yet, discussing your financial problems felt almost impossible.
“it’s hard for me,” you finally admitted, almost a whisper.
“i’m scared, okay? scared that i’ll get back to being that poor little girl who was always hungry ale…i don’t want to be that person again, even if it was years ago.”
alexia stepped closer, her eyes radiating kindness.
“y/n, you don’t have to live in fear anymore. you can have the nice things you’ve always wanted, but maybe you should think about getting a financial advisor? someone who can help you save, invest, and still enjoy life? you really can have both.”
you pondered her words, the idea gently pulling at your heartstrings, unsure of how you could intertwine the idea of safety with spending.
“i don’t want to give everything up,” you breathed.
“i just…I don’t want to feel like i’m back there—not again.”
“you won’t,” she assured you.
“you have the power to change, and you did. you can still get nice things, you deserve that since you work hard on the pitch with us– but maybe focus on less quantity and more quality? your childhood doesn’t have to dictate your future, y/n. believe me. you can have the nice things you still want.”
you nodded slowly, feeling a sense of warmth envelop you.
“maybe that’s true,” you whispered.
“you don’t need to hide your past either, y/n. many of us did not grow up with a lot of dinero either. aitana’s family suffered while she was growing up, same situation as you but you didn't have the politics involved.” alexia lightly smiled, hoping to see you less scared of the conversation.
“oh,” you said, leaning your arms against the kitchen island across alexia sitting on your stool.
“i am just saying that all of this stuff and the idea of buying it will only last temporarily. you do not want to spend so much money to the point where you’re broke. i have an idea on how much your salary is at barca and with adidas, its a lot and you should not blow through that much money in one month.” alexia and you giggled at her last sentence.
“i know, and i’m sorry.”
“don’t apologize to me, you didn’t do anything to me. i’ll set you up with the financial advisor i have and we will put you on the right track okay? maybe a therapist at barca too?”
“anything you think will help me, capi.” you leaned against alexia for a hug.
hey! could you maybe do a sam kerr x matildas!reader where sam and reader get into a huge fight before a game and refuse to talk to eachother, but then during the game reader gets hurt really badly and it absolutely terrifies sam causing her to just snap out of it and comfort the reader, feeling really guilty about their argument
when I saw this request I had just been dreaming of the best not cringe and actually like valid argument that doesn't put either reader or Sam in the right.
Tumblr media
give up? s.k
plot: Though you and Sam play internationally together you play in Barcelona for the champions league but Sam casually brings up a contract for you in the WSL which leads into a fight and then a very messy game.
warning: angst, swearing, stubborn people, blood, injury, LONG
Tumblr media
It was known that your contract with barca was coming to a close, many people thought you would stay and you would if it wasn't for girlfriend.
You're loving girlfriend Sam Kerr who isn't just your fiancé but also your national captain.
You grew up together as you were both called up to almost all ages of the Matilda's camps. "annoyingly slowly" Caitlin says you two realised your feelings for each other before you got your first signings out of Australia.
You were scared when she went to America that you would have to break up but somehow the two weeks of Australia camps every three months held you two threw it.
So Sam knew you were the one for her and you knew you could never imagine loving someone more than you loved Sam.
So last year when she flew up to Barcelona 'secretly' (mapi accidently told you) to propose you said yes immediately.
Jessie played in London and you in Spain it was an unspoken problem that the two of you rarely brought up but it hurt every time you had a bad game and couldn't crawl into Sam's arms.
A phone call wasn't enough.
So Sam started talking around to WSL leagues secretly and vouching for you, you didn't need vouching though managers would dream for a defender like you, you were clean and patient with Umpires.
You still gloated on how you had never received a red card ever.
You loved Barcelona and the girls that you played with you had many memories there, you helped Alexia with English sometimes in interviews when she was confused, she mainly picked you for partners when doing Media duties so you could help her with anything.
Mapi had even once convinced you to get a matching tattoo with her, just a small one under your boob of a cartoon like soccer ball with your number next to it.
Barca had been amazing for your career, you won a lot. Which you loved but you never had Sam to celebrate with as she was in London.
Moving to a different club would be a hard decision and Sam was at her high at Chelsea being one of the captains, you weren't a captain but you couldn't help the selfish intentions that came over you.
Sam had been having conversations with clubs such as Arsenal but also her own.
Emma didn't deny when Sam said you would be a great fit in the team and you and Millie defending together would practically be a brick wall.
But she didn't say anything until the first night of your last tillies camp of the year.
It was dinner and you were all sitting with the 'trio', Steph, Katrina, Hayley and her three children.
"What are you doing about your contract?" Mackenzie asked you as you looked down at your plate and played with your pasta "uhm-"
"Chelsea's keen on her" Sam piped up and you quickly turned your head to her, you went to say something but Steph beat her to it "I heard Jonas talking about how she's going to the WSL" she teased and you shot her a confused look which she didn't see.
Alanna made comments about man city as Mackenzie did West Ham but you looked down.
You hadn't made any choices.
You and Sam hadn't talked about it.
Did she expect you to just drop your career?
You were quiet for the rest of dinner before finishing quickly and going up to your shared room with Sam.
"Did I say anything bad?" Alanna asked as she was the last to speak "no" Sam said and looked at her food "I'll go check on her" she said before following after you.
You were in the shower when Sam came in, your thoughts were clouded by questions.
A knock sounded at the bathroom door when you got out "babe?" Sam called out "Can I come in?" she asked and you shook your head "no"
"why not?" she asked and you started to get changed "cause I'm naked"
"Oh c'mon I've seen you naked before"
"I'm not in the mood for jokes" you called before zipping your (sams) Jumper up and walking out, brushing past Sam's shoulder.
"Alanna thinks she said something, are you okay?" she asked and stepped forward to you.
"How did Jonas apparently know I was interested in the WSL if I haven't made any decisions yet?" you asked and Sam stopped walking "I- I don't know" she said and you rolled your eyes "you do know!"
Sam slumped "Okay I may have been telling teams in the WSL that-"
"That I what?, want to leave my team of seven years? Sam we haven't even talked about what I should do, this isn't something that you do alone" you said, using your hands dramatically, something Sam noticed you do when your serious.
"You never want to talk about it!" Sam shot back "every time I bring it up you talk about something else"
She was right but you were too angry to realize that at the moment.
"What so you go behind my back?" you scoffed "Sam this is my career do you expect me to drop it so I'm with you!" you yelled and Sam stood back "well do you not want to be with me?" she asked softly and you groaned "of course I want to be with you but you don't seem to mind the fact that this change will only effect my career"
"I'm sorry I actually want to be able to sleep in the same bed as my fiancé for more than two times a month!" Sam yelled and you shut your eyes before storming towards your bag.
"What are you doing?" Sam asked "Grabbing my stuff and going to Steph's room before I say something I'll regret" you say as you packed your bag.
"What like maybe how we shouldn't get married?" Sam said sternly as the tears that you had been holding rose to your eyes, you froze, your back towards Sam.
You zipped up your bag before you turned to Sam who look defeated.
"yeah" you sniffed "exactly that".
You didn't mean it and neither did Sam.
When you left the room and closed the door you sobbed, your brain screamed at you to go back and to kiss Sam as hard as you ever had before and apologies.
You would move to any club for her.
You would do anything for her.
When you reached Steph's room, she didn't question why you were crying, just held you as you cried into her arms.
In the morning of the game you woke up feeling like shit, your eyes were puffy and red and there was a note on the door from Steph saying she would bring up breakfast up for you.
You smiled at your friends kindness and got dressed into your kit before going into the bathroom and trying to get rid of any signs of the tears that melted your skin the night before.
You wondered if Sam felt the same way.
When Steph walked down stairs for breakfast Sam perked up from the corner of the room, expecting to see you but Steph shook her head at Sam and instead grabbed two of everything so she could bring it back up to you.
"You look shit skipper" was all Mackenzie said as she patted Sam's shoulder.
When you and Sam finally saw each other in the morning was when you were getting into the bus but luckily Katrina's eager toddler was adamant on sitting with you on the bus.
"Why have you been crying?" Harper asked you in a sweet tone as you sat at the back with her "I said something bad to someone I love" you admitted and Harper snuggled into you which you accepted.
You didn't see how Katrina and Sam were watching you together at the front of the bus.
"What did you do?" Katrina asked and Sam crossed her head "I can't talk about it right now"
You fell asleep with Harper cuddling you pretty quickly as you lacked sleep from how long you had been up crying.
Katrina was the one to wake you and Harper as Harper cried up to her mum "No matter how many times I cry to you mummy I still love you!" Harper yelled as she snuggled into her shoulder, Katrina looked at you, a knowing look in her eye.
"That's okay bubba. People say mean things when they're upset sometimes, even to people who they loved."
You sighed as you smiled at the older woman 'silently' thanking her.
You didn't talk to Sam before the game started, you knew she didn't like to have big chats before going on the field even if her mind was screaming to go up to you and apologies.
You felt off, you didn't feel the butterfly's that you felt in the tunnel as you usually did but instead you felt dread.
You tried breathing in and out but nothing was helping and Sam was at the front of the line so you couldn't see her.
You needed her to tell you it was okay.
You were playing Canada and they were out for revenge because of the World Cup, they wanted to send off their captain with a win.
It wasn't until the 45th minute until it happened.
The ball was in Canada's square and Cloe Lacasse had kicked the ball as hard as she called as Mackenzie ran up and blocked it but the ball went past her fingertips and almost into the goal until you ran and jumped, your foot in the air as you kicked it into the opposite direction.
Well at least you hoped it did, all you could see was black.
The stadium fell silent as they watched your head connect with the goal post, players near you hearing the smack that had sounded out when you collided.
Sam was on the other side of the field when it happened.
Her breath hitched as some players looked at her in sorrow as she watched her fiancé, the love her life, the called 'princess' of Australia bash her head against the metal post.
She'd never felt herself move so quick in her life as she ran towards you, any memory of last night gone as she saw your body on the floor.
You were stirring awake when Sam reached for you "baby?" she asked, grabbing onto your hand as the medics arrived, you didn't reply your head was stuck in the air as your eyes travelled around frantically, you heard your thoughts too loudly.
'tell her you're okay'
but you couldn't.
So when the medics brought out something to cover the bleeding on the side of your head, Sam let her tears drop out "I didn't mean what I said last night" she said in tears but you only squeezed her hand before the medics took you off.
It wasn't until after the game, Sam didn't congratulate any of the Canadians and didn't interact with any fans, she went straight into her car and drove to the hospital that you had been taken to.
She waited in the waitiing room for twenty minutes which felt like two hours until a nurse walked out.
"y/n y/l/n"
