You were working on your homework when you heard the doorbell. You sighed deeply, standing up and going to the door, not expecting to see your brother and his friend group to be standing on the other side.
One specific friend caught your eye, his spiky, ash blonde hair hard to miss. You could feel your heartbeat rising almost instantly, cheeks now a bit warmer than before. You wished you had worn something else, anything but pajama shorts and an oversize shirt, maybe combed your hair and wore perfume or something, but how could you know your brother was going to bring his friends home?
Okay, maybe you should have known since they were over almost every day.
But since there was nothing you could do now to change the situation, you just smiled, inviting them in -you noticed how Bakugou hadn't even glanced your way once, and though this wasn't different then always, it proceed to hurt and disappoint you every time. It's not like you were expecting for him to have feelings for you or something, but at least noticing you were there would be nice for a change.
Your brother was the last to enter, hugging you so tightly that you couldn't breathe for a few seconds, squirming between his arms. "Eiji lemme go!" You screamed, though your voice muffled by his tight hold.
"Sorry, just missed you." He told you, letting you free. A cheeky, innocent grin was on his face, the one he knew that made you soft. You answered by a "Hmph," turning to his friends, who were already in the living room, doing their things. Mina was the first to notice you when you entered the room, the cutest smile on her face. "Oh, hey Y/N!" She caught you by the wrist, pulling you to the couch to sit with her. Of course, Bakugou was right next to you.
Feeling self-conscious -when was the last time you had a shower? Yesterday? You could only pray you smelled nice- you scooted a bit more to Mina, putting some distance between Bakugou and you, though it pained you to do so since he smelled like caramel. Honestly, why did he smell this good? It only caused your thoughts to be fuzzier, and for you to be even more excited around him.
Though he seemed to have noticed your shift towards Mina since he sent a small glance your way, a 'tch' sound coming out of his lips, heating your cheeks.
"Hi, Mina-san." You mumbled, trying to forget the boy -your big brother's best friend- sitting next to you. "Oh, y/n-chan, I told you many times, you can just call me Mina! We only have a year between us anyway." You nodded, though still feeling a bit uneasy. “Sure.”
"I- I should go now, I have to finish my math homework." You told them with an apologetic smile, Mina and Kaminari pouting almost immediately. "Oh, come on, sit with us for a bit," Denki protested, his eyes wandering on your bare legs for a second, earning a deadly glare from your brother and a nudge from Sero.
"What homework?" Your brother asked you, coming closer to you to block Denki's view. "Oh, you know, the one I was doing this morning." You shrugged, you've been working on the same sheet of paper practically the whole day, but you just didn't know the subject even a little bit, staring at the paper without knowing nothing didn't help much.
"Wait, you still didn't finish that? I thought I helped you yesterday." He pouted. Yes, he did try to help you, but you were sure he also had no idea how to do it, and he had just repeated the question to you again and again, until you had said, "Ah, I understand it now! Thank you, brother," without being able to do anything. You knew he meant good, but it still didn't change the fact that your brother was as clueless as you were.
"I-" You had started to say something before a deeper voice intruded yours. "Oi, shitty-hair, you know you suck at math, how do you think you could even help her?"
Your eyes shifted to Bakugou -you couldn't help but giggle at the nickname he had for your brother, oh, you had to remember that one- he had an annoyed look in his ruby eyes, his eyes not leaving your brother once. "Well, I-" Eiji had started to talk, his eyes widening slightly after, understanding what Bakugou meant. "Oh, you should have told me!"
You shrugged. "Well, you just looked so happy finally being able to help me with something, I didn't want to make you feel bad."
Oh no, did that come out wrong? You were about to apologize when your brother pulled you in a hug once again. "Oh my god- lemme go!"
***
"So -uhh- if you do it this way, you can, maybe?.. No, okay, I got it, so if you add this to... Nope, that's wrong- umm, oh, how about-"
Mina bit the back of the pencil you had given her, fully concentrated on the papers in front of her. "Oh move over, I can help her!" Denki told her as he pushed Mina aside.
"You?" She told him in disbelief, "Don't make me laugh, you're even worse than I am!"
"No, I'm not!" The blonde boy answered, pulling the sheet of paper. "Yes, you are," Sero also joined the fight, pushing himself between the two. "Oh, you shut up, you're even worse than him!" Mina pushed Sero with all her might, panting.
"Umm, what is happening?" You asked your red-headed brother, watching them with a smile and clearly enjoying the show. "Oh, don't worry, this happens all the time." He answered, patting you on the back, giggling when Mina pulled Denki's hair, making the poor boy scream.
Oh, that makes it all better then.
"Oi, dumbasses, shut the fuck up before I do it." You jumped in surprise when you heard Bakugou screaming right behind you, and surprisingly, three of the grown-ass people that were just wrestling on the floor froze.
"Sorry, Baku." Mina was the first to stand up, fixing her disheveled clothes and running a finger through her soft-looking hair. Sero and Kaminari struggled for a second or two more, but one look from Bakugou and they were up on their feet too.
"Well, thanks I guess." You told the people who literally just fought each other to help you, though instead of them, it was Bakugou who answered you. "Whatever, you shouldn't be asking these idiots anyway."
You weren't sure what to say since the gratitude wasn't intended for him, but you smiled awkwardly. "Guess I'll have to ask someone tomorrow."
"Oh, Baku, can't you help her? You always help us and you're the smartest." Eiji perked his head with the idea that suddenly came to his mind.
"Damn right I am!" Bakugou answered without missing a beat, though he realized his mistake almost instantly. "Oh, that's great, then, you can help her." Mina cheered, clapping her hands with a wicked grin on her face, eyeing both you and the now furious looking boy. Bakugou would have said no immediately, but everyone in the room -even you- knew his pride wouldn't let him.
"For fucks sake," he muttered, his hand massaging his temples. "Give me that stupid fucking paper."
***
"Oh, okay, that makes much more sense!" You told him, even though you still had no idea how he did it, but you tried your best to hide the confusion in your face, not wanting to seem dumb in front of him. But it took one look and his burrows furrowed, lips curling into a snarl.
"If you're just acting like you understood I'll fucking-" A fake cough came from your brother's way, making Bakugou growl. "I'll explain it to you again and again until you understand it." He finished his sentence, making both you and Eiji grin.
"So what didn't you understand?"
Good question.
"I- uh... anything?" You could feel your face heating as you answered, causing him to grimace. "Oh my fucking God." He muttered, pinching his nose bridge with annoyance.
"LOOK-" Oh, he was pissed. "THE QUESTION IS TELLING YOU TO DO THIS, SO YOU JUST FUCKING ADD THIS TO THAT, AND-" His spiky hair looked like it was ruffling up when he got angry, like an angry bird, the thought making you giggle. As he heard your giggle he stopped screaming, and seeing him so quiet was somehow scarier than him shouting.
"What the fuck is so funny?" He asked gruffly, though his crimson eyes weren't as angry as they were before. "You know it doesn't help when you just scream everything at me, right?" You giggled again because he looked really confused.
"Okay, look." He sighed, "see this? This actually just means you should do this." His pencil moved on the paper, his writing surprisingly neat and pretty- especially for a boy as impatient and angry like him. "Oi, you listening?" He pointed the pencil to you when he noticed you weren't looking at the paper, but at him.
"Oh- yeah, I'm listening." You answered, looking at what he recently wrote and trying to understand what he probably said. His eyes narrowed, but he didn't question it further. "Good."
"As I just said," he stated -making you grin since he probably noticed you weren't, in fact, listening to him, "you should do it like this and that's the answer."
You couldn't understand why, but suddenly what he was talking about seemed to make so much sense. "Oh my god." Your eyes widened, looking at the sheet of paper, you pulled the pencil he was holding without thinking much on it, quickly writing down what was on your mind before you forgot.
After you finished writing, you turned your gaze to the boy that was sitting right next to you, though he concealed the amazed look he had sent you almost immediately. "Is that... right?" You asked him, feeling anxious, if it was wrong, you probably would look like an idiot.
"Yeah," he muttered, quickly glancing your way and noticing the smile on your face. "Fucking finally." He added, trying to get you to stop from smiling since he couldn't stop thinking about how pretty it was, though to his surprise you only smiled brighter. He could feel his heartbeat picking up, not sure why. Were you always this pretty? Smiled so softly, that made him feel all warm? Looked at him like this, like he was the most amazing person you've had seen?
For him, you have always been the sister of his best friend. He hadn't the slightest interest on you, though he could feel that was changing, the thought terrifying him. No, you were only and only Kirishima's sister, no one else.
***
"Hey, Bakugou-Kun." Bakugou was taking his jacket off as he entered the house, his caramel scent making you dizzy.
"Hey, idiot." He answered without thinking, the rude nickname slipping from his lips, he pressed them together instantly as if he could un-say it. He looked at you with slightly widened eyes, expecting you to be sad, or get mad at him, though he could have never thought you would giggle instead.
"Yeah," you told him smiling, "guess I deserve that."
"No." A sudden answer came his way, causing you to be the one shocked this time. "I- I didn't mean it that way..." He rubbed the back of his neck, looking very uncomfortable. "I just-"
"It's okay!" You told him, finally ending his misery. "I know you didn't say it to be mean."
Now, that was a first.
"Yeah, whatever." He muttered, entering the room, though regretting it immediately, was that rude? Maybe he shouldn't have stormed out? Did you think he was rude? Mean? An asshole?
He had no idea you were only happy because, for the first time, he had stopped to talk with you instead of ignoring you altogether.
You entered the room, noticing the rest was there too, and you wondered when they even entered the house. "Hey, Y/N!" Denki beamed, though noticing the look Eiji sent him, he quickly corrected himself. "-chan. Y/N-chan."
"Hey, Kaminari-Kun." You answered, making him pout. "Oh come on, you can just call me Denki!" A small glance was sent your brothers way, "Denki-Kun. You can call me Denki-Kun." He corrected, smiling widely.
"Oh, okay." You told him. "Would you like something to drink, Denki-Kun?" You asked, making him grin wickedly. "She's just too cute!" He whisper-yelled, nudging Sero. "Anyone? I can make tea."
"Oh, just sit with us instead!" Mina told you and you did as she said, knowing she would force you anyway. Once again, you were stuck between Bakugou and Mina, though this time you were prepared and had worn perfume. She looked at you excitedly, like she wanted to say something, but before she sent an angry look to Bakugou.
"Hey, Baku, can you go sit with Denki or something? We're gonna talk and you're preventing us."
"Haah?" Bakugou yelled. "I was the first one sitting here! And I'm not fucking preventing you, I'm just fucking sitting here, it's not like I wanna hear the stupid shit you'll talk about."
Oh, but he, did. He was dying to hear what you would talk about.
"It's not stupid shit, its girl talk!" She defended, grinning when Bakugou stood up. "W-what do you want to talk about, Mina?" It took a lot of willpower for you not to say Mina-san. "A little bird told me you have a slight liking to a certain angry boy." She finally told you, waiting at first for a bit of suspense.
"W-what, who?" You blurted, immediately noticing the mistake you did. "I mean, that's not- that's not true!"
"Oh come on, don't try to hide it!" She giggled, nudging you. "I know you have a crush on bskdhdhdh!" You slapped your hand on her mouth just in time, a sigh of relief coming out your mouth when you stopped her from saying the name. Though, you couldn't stop her from screaming about you having a crush.
"You what?!" Eiji screamed, standing up.
"Ooh, our little Y/N-chan has grown so fast," Denki told as he wiped the nonexistent tears off his eyes.
"So, who's the lucky guy?" Sero asked, grinning.
"Oops, I may have made a mistake," Mina said, giggling.
The only one that hadn't said one word was Bakugou, though that was somehow even more uncomfortable. His gaze lingering over you, you felt like you were going to die of embarrassment (and why did he have to wear that black t-shirt? It only made you even more flustered, and you just couldn't help but think about how nice he looked)
"It's nothing." You smiled awkwardly, face heating up. You glanced away, looking at anyone but him. "It's a misunderstanding." A fake giggle and all should be good, right?
Well, apparently not.
"No, don't you try to laugh your way out of this. What is this crush?" He looked so angry, it was one of those rare moments that he looked plain out scary.
"It's an innocent crush, Eiji! Nothing to worry about, okay? Now sit down, I need to do my homework anyway." Eyes narrowing, his gaze stayed on you a little more, though he dropped the subject soon after.
"If anything happens, you'll tell me everything." He told Mina, though it sounded more like a threat.
"It's not my place to do so." She answered, grinning wickedly.
***
You peeped your head from the door, trying to take a look of inside. What were they doing?
You've been doing your homework the past hour or two -it was only 10 minutes, but it felt like an eternity- and you came downstairs to seek help.
"Hi, guys." You finally entered, only to find them all snuggled on the couch, watching the greatest show ever been made, Avatar the Last Airbender.
Eiji knew the consequences of such actions, desperately trying to close the TV, but he was late, you could recognize Uncle Iroh's voice from a mile away.
"How dare you!" You gasped, now feeling all eyes on you.
"Wait, what's going on?" Sero looked as confused as the rest of his friends.
"Eiji, how could you do this to me?" You ignored Sero altogether, eyes fixed on your red-headed brother.
"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, sis, it's just we had nothing to do and-"
"I can't even see you right now." You told him, turning your back to exit the room, leaving three very confused people after you.
"No, Y/N, wait!"
***
And that's how you found yourself to be snuggled between Bakugou and Denki.
It was really comfortable, you had to admit, but also very maddening. You couldn't even watch the show anymore, your senses filled with the boy sitting right next to you, his body touching yours ever so slightly, his hair tickling your face every time you moved to get a bit more comfortable.
"So you're telling me," Bakugou suddenly spoke up, though your eyes didn't leave the screen, you could feel his ruby eyes on you. "That you have a crush on this guy?"
"She does." Your brother mumbled from the other side of the room. "She even-"
"Shut up, or you won't be able to speak ever again." Everyone in the room suddenly froze, no one able to understand how the hell you just turned in to the most threatening person they ever saw.
"Well, damn, okay." Sero laughed, sending a small glance your way. "I don't know, man," Denki muttered. "Sokka is much better than Zuko. He is a nice dude, everyone likes him, has solid jokes, and is pretty smart. He's kinda like me, actually."
"Yeah, he is like you!" Mina suddenly cheered. "Except for the being-liked-by-everyone, having nice jokes and being smart parts, of course."
"Yeah, that's what I'm telling yo- hey!" He exclaimed, making everyone laugh. "If there's anyone that resembles any of these characters, it's Bakugou," Eiji muttered thoughtfully.
"What?" He snarled. Eiji shrugged. “You’re pretty similar to Zuko.”
"Wait, that's very on point!" You told him, causing Bakugou's brows to furrow. "Just think about it, you're very unreasonably angry all the time, keep picking useless fights with everyone, and are very rude!" Mina cheered.
Bakugou would have punched every one of you for even implying something like this, though now the only thing he could think about was if you thought this way too.
"I- I didn't mean it that way, though." You told them. "He always tries to look so tough from the outside, but he's actually sweet. He tries to act like he doesn't like the gaang or his friends, but in reality, he really likes them. Don't you guys think so too?"
"Now that you put it that way..." Mina muttered, the topic closing and everyone focusing their gazes on the screen once again, though, even though no one realized, a small smile was on Bakugou's lips.
***
After the Avatar marathon, you stood up, about to go upstairs to continue the dreadful math homework when an idea fell upon you. You turned your gaze to the boy, who was sitting on the couch like it was a throne instead. Spiky hair looking softer than usual, you wondered what it would feel like to run your fingers through them. His eyes were closed, and he looked tired. Under the dim light of the small lamp that hung from the ceiling, you were practically in awe of how pretty he was.
Cheekbones high and defined, a sharp jawline, like it indicated his sharp personality, delicate brows furrowed, buried in thought.
As if he felt your eyes on him, his eyes snapped open, crimson eyes finding yours. You probably looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights, causing him to smirk. "What's your problem?"
"I- uh, I was wondering if you could help me with... math?"
"Again?!" That was a valid question, but it wasn't your fault math was too hard!
"It's okay, Y/N-chan, I can help you instead." You heard Denki's voice, a hand wrapping your shoulder, causing you, Eiji and Bakugou to jump in your places.
"You don't know shit." Bakugou growled, his gaze suddenly predator-like, making Denki wince and pull his hand back. "Don't do me dirty like that, Bakubro," Denki whined. "I'm just trying to help-" His voice suddenly muffled by the hand on his mouth, a hand that belonged to your bother.
"You come here for a second." Eiji told him threateningly, pulling him out of the room with force. "No- no, Kiri, don't do this to me!" The door closed behind them, though, a muffled scream or two could be heard every once in a while.
Everyone ignoring the whole ordeal, went back to what they were doing. Bakugou turned to you, his eyes on the sheet of paper you were holding. "So, does this mean you're helping me?"
Bakugou knew the second you turned to him with that pleading look in your eyes, he was already going to say yes. "Tch," he rolled his eyes, pulling the paper from your hands. "Whatever."
This time, he sat a bit closer to you.
You sat side by side, arms almost touching whenever he wrote something. "Did you understand this one?" He asked, the pencil he was holding pointing to the second question. Surprisingly, you did understand it. When you nodded, he smiled, it wasn't one of those cocky smirks, this one was a genuine, small smile that took your breath away.
"Then do this one yourself."
You gulped, tearing your eyes away from his face as you felt your face heating up. It took you a bit to get focused on what was in front of you, but you were able to use what Bakugou had explained to you, and eventually reached the answer.
"That's... That was pretty good." He told you as he inspected what you wrote. This time, it was you who smiled brightly, taking his breath away. He could feel his heart suddenly going crazy, hammering his chest as if it was trying to set itself free. And why did he have this weird feeling in the pit of his stomach? This dreadful but also... warm feeling?
He didn't like this. He didn't like it at all.
He stood up, his face suddenly angry, causing your smile to drop. He gritted his teeth when he realized he wanted to sit right back and apologize, to make you smile again. But instead, he picked his phone up from the table and turned his back to you.
He exited the room in a hurry that didn't even let you say anything, or thank him.
"Oi, shitty hair! I'm out." You heard him scream to your brother.
"So soon?" Eiji asked though the door already shut mid-sentence.
***
Although Bakugou had promised himself that he was going to stay away from you, as far as he could, this thing -whatever this was- went on for weeks. He wanted to stop, Bakugou really tried to not think of you whenever he saw a fucking number, but it didn't take long for him to realize he couldn't.
So instead, he came to see you every day, with or without the Bakusquad and helped you with math even if you didn't ask for him to.
You always asked him to, though.
On the other hand, you weren't thrilled about this whole situation either. At first, this was a normal, innocent crush, but as you spent more time with him, you found yourself falling for him. Hard.
"Hey, Bakugou!" You greeted him (you had dropped calling him Bakugou-Kun sometime, though you weren't really sure when), a big smile that you couldn't drop on your face. "Hey, idiot. I brought this shitty thing you like."
He meant donuts.
He didn't want to admit it, but he had only bought it to see the way your eyes sparkled when you held one in your hand, about to take a giant bite out of it.
The rest of the group was already here and settled, so you checked the paper bag in your hands if it had enough for everyone. You smiled brightly when you noticed it did, making your way to the kitchen.
You noticed Eiji standing, leaning to the door, and watching you both with furrowed brows. "Oh, don't look so mad, I'll give one to you too." You told him giggling, interpreting it wrong.
His face softened, also smiling. "Don't forget to give me the strawberry one!"
"We'll see about that!!" You answered as you exited the room.
"Oh, Bakugou-Kun, did you buy us the shit we like too?" Sero said mockingly, making the others snicker. "Shut the fuck up, tape face."
"Oh, but Bakugou-Kun-"
"I said, shut the fuck up!" Suddenly his heart was beating really fast. "Relax, Baku, having feelings for someone is nothing to be ashamed of!" Mina told him, though she already knew the answer he was going to give.
"I don't fucking have feelings, dumbass." Bakugou didn't have feelings, especially not towards you, the sister of his best friend. But still, he couldn't take his eyes off of you, he couldn't stop his heart from racing whenever you smiled, and he couldn't stop feeling like he would do anything for you to smile again when you don't.
"Sure you don't," Mina answered, a sly grin on her face when she noticed Bakugou's confused expression. It wasn't that Bakugou didn't want the feelings, he just couldn't understand them.
They would have taken it further if you hadn't entered the room with a plate full of donuts in your hands. "Nobody touches the Nutella one!" You told them, letting them take a donut.
You narrowed your eyes and sent a threatening look when Denki tried to take the one you were going to eat.
"You're not eating?" You asked when you noticed Bakugou not taking one. He shrugged. "I don't like sweets."
Your brows furrowed in confusion, "Really? Can I eat yours then?" Bakugou found himself smiling to that, thinking about how adorable you looked with a donut in your hand, a shirt that was too big for you, probably stolen from Eiji and sugar powder smeared on your lips. He couldn't help but wonder, what would you do if he just leaned in and kissed you, right then and there? Would you flinch back? Scream at him? Maybe even be disgusted by him?
He decided he didn't want to lea the answer.
***
"Oh, you're staying late?" You asked with a small smile on your lips, making them look so kissable, Bakugou had to look away. "Yeah."
"You have homework?" He asked when you didn't say anything. He didn't want you to leave. "Nope, already did them."
Oh.
"But I kind of wanted to talk to you." You looked nervous, your hands clasped together, anxiously biting your lip. His eyes narrowed, crimson gaze wandering over you like he was trying to read your mind.
"I have-" You started to say, but stopped mid-sentence so he finished your sentence for you internally. ...feelings for you.
(You actually had an upcoming math exam, and you were hoping he could help you study for it, but you didn't want to make him uncomfortable.)
Oh, he wasn't going to let you be the first to confess, so without thinking about it, Bakugou blurted. "I like you." There it was, he did it before you! But why did you look so shocked?
"You what?" You asked, eyes wide, just staring at him. Bakugou could feel his heart getting heavier by the second, hands turning cold and a dreadful knot forming in the pit of his stomach. Weren't you saying the same thing just then?
"I-" should he just tell you to forget about it? No, he wasn't the kind of man to just back off. "You heard me." He told you gruffly. "I like you."
Much to his annoyance, you stayed quiet, not giving him the chance to be happy or sad about it. Just silence. "And? What's your answer?!"
For the first time in this conversation, you looked at him properly. You hadn't noticed how his crimson gaze shined with uncertainty, confusion, and anxiety. He was afraid of your answer, you realized. Even the great Bakugou Katsuki was afraid of rejection.
So instead of giving him a verbal answer, you leaned in instead, your lips touching his softly.
His eyes opened wide with the contact, not being able to understand what was going on. Your lips were so soft, it molded perfectly against his, and he was afraid that if he moved even an inch, you would realize you were making a big mistake and pull back. So he froze.
"Bakugou?" You pulled back slightly after a few seconds, making him want to pull you back and never let go. "Won't you kiss me back?"
To this, Bakugou grinned, his hands suddenly on your back, pulling you towards him. The last thing you remembered before you lost yourself in the kiss was how soft his lips were, and how amazing he smelled.
***
"You know we still have to tell Eiji, right?" You told him, running your fingers through your messed up hair, trying to look like you didn't kiss a boy for the past... well, you weren't sure how long, actually.
"Yeah." He answered, lips slightly pink.
"You know, I think I have the perfect idea of how to tell him."
"You do?" He asked, now slightly intrigued. You nodded, standing up. Eiji was in his room, so you pulled Bakugou by the wrists up the stairs. "Come on." You told him when he hesitated. "This will work."
You knocked on your brother's door, opening it just the slightest when you heard him tell you to come in. "Hey, Eiji."
"Hey, sis." He smiled widely, not aware of Bakugou behind the door. "What's up?"
"Oh, nothing much." You shrugged, "Just wanted to tell you that Bakugou and I are dating, okay bye!" You shut the door after you without giving him the time to say anything, running down the stairs, and pulling Bakugou after you.
Your brother opened his door, running after you, his face as red as his hair. "You what?!"
"You idiot!" Bakugou screamed. "So this was your great idea?"

Tails rushed into the house they shared with Sonic and Amy with an excited grin on their face.
"Excited to finally get some shut eye? I sure am…" Sonic said to Tails, yawning.
"I'll go to sleep soon! I just wanna tell Cosmo about everything that just happened first! I bet she'll think that it was as cool as I think it was!" Tails explained.
"Yeah… Mys. Shadow is pretty cool…" Amy added tiredly, rubbing her eyes as she spoke.
"Don't stay up too late now bud." Sonic advised Tails. Tails smiled and assured him that they would be asleep in 30 minutes as they rushed to their room.
Once Tails made it to their room, they shut the door behind them, hoping that it would block the noise from Sonic and Amy as they tried to sleep. Once that was done, Tails fished out their communication device that they use to talk to Cosmo, and dialed up her number.
Tails and Cosmo had met the year before when Cosmo's spacecraft had crashed into Aerth, right near the home Tails was in at this very moment. They looked outside and saw the large hole that still remained from that crash landing, and smiled, remembering the few months Cosmo stayed with them while they helped repair her spaceship.
The two had bonded quickly, having a shared interest in mechanics. Tails had offered Cosmo a bit of a tour around what they knew of Aerth, hoping that one day, the two of them would be able to travel the entirety of the planet, and perhaps, even go beyond together.
Tails remembered that Cosmo was especially interested in Amy and Shadow out of the friends that they introduced her to, and it was that memory that made Tails as excited as they were, predicting that Cosmo would be amazed by Shadow's heroism.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity of waiting, Cosmo picked up the call, seeming as if Tails calling her had awoken her.
"Hey Cosmo!!"
"... Hey Tails. Why are you calling me at such an hour…?" She asked, rubbing her eyes.
"The coolest thing just happened!! It involves Shadow~!" The mention of Shadow caught Cosmo's attention.
"Is that so? What happened?"
Tails began to excitedly explain to her the events of the day before, how Aerth had been invaded by the infamous Black Arms, and how a lot of property was destroyed, and a lot of people died. But, then Tails described how the Freedom Fighters fought against the Black Arms, including the fact that Tails helped stop them from assassinating the president of the United Nations, and how in the end, Shadow used the power of the Chaos Emeralds to kill the leader of the Black Arms, Black Doom.
"... So yeah, I've had an interesting start to my week!" Tails said as they finished off their retelling. They looked back at the screen of their communicator, expecting a look of amazement on Cosmo's face, but instead, the look on her face was one of horror.
At first, Tails took this as her being worried about their safety, to which they assured her that they were completely fine, but then Cosmo started to cry, and closed the call before Tails could ask her why.
As Tails tried to call Cosmo again, they were interrupted by an incoming call from their father.
"Miles! I know I haven't been able to keep in contact with you for a while, but I heard that Aerth was just attacked--!"
"You're a bit behind on things, aren't you? We were attacked by the Black Arms yesterday, but we managed to get rid of them thanks to Shadow and the Chaos Emeralds!" Tails explained. "Also, I don't really like going by Miles anymore, just call me Tails."
"... I see. By the way, did you say "Shadow"? As in… Project Shadow? The project headed by Gerald Robotnik to create the ultimate life?"
"Yeah. Shadow sure is something, aren't they?"
"... I suppose they are." Tails' father sighed, just happy to hear that his child was safe and sound.
"Mmm… you know space things, right?" Tails asked.
"I do! Why do you ask?" Their father responded.
"Ah… Last year I met this Seedrian girl named Cosmo, and we've been talking a lot ever since, I think we're dating now? Anyway, right before you called I told her about how we fought against those black aliens and how Shadow killed their leader but after I told her she got really upset and hung up on me! I bet she's just worried about me, but I did try to tell her that I'm not injured or anything--!"
"Did she not tell you about the history of the Seedrians?" Tails' father asked them.
"No, not really. All she told me is that her home planet is called Green Gate, and that it was established about 100 or so years ago…" Tails admitted, causing their father to groan slightly.
"Then I'll tell you."
Six years later….
As the sunlight of dawn began to show itself behind the clouds and distant trees, a soft breeze blew into the ajar windows of the Sky Patrol. The sunlight and breeze met at a tie in the room of Tails Prower, picking up speed to jolt them awake, but the sound of a call coming in on their communicator beat them to it.
Rubbing their eyes in confusion, Tails picked up to see who it was that was calling them. It was their girlfriend, Cosmo.

Over the six and a half years that the two had been together, Tails and Cosmo's love for each other always managed to stay strong despite the conflict the two of them would have from time to time. It all started that night, the night when Shadow killed Black Doom. Tails had learned of the Seedrian's history, which from the very beginning had quite the involvement with the Black Arms, they were angry that Cosmo hid this from them, but they also had hope for her. They had hoped that they could pull Cosmo out of the "Roots" of the Seedrians, and thus reveal her as the good person Tails knew she was deep down.
But things have changed since then.
The people around Tails have changed.
Shadow the Hedgehog, held up by the public as just as much of a hero as Sonic, the proof to Tails that they could change Cosmo for the better, ended up falling back into the Black Arms hivemind, and became much more intertwined than ever before.
Because of this, Sonic has become cynical and distrustful of anyone associated with the Black Arms in any way.
But there still is one last hope, and that hope has come in the form of one Amy Rose.
Two years younger than Tails, and completely unaware of being half Black Arms until just last week, Amy has already managed to blow Tails away with how steadfast she is on staying loyal to the friends she's made and to the world that she's lived in for nearly a decade. Amy's made it clear to everyone that she won't let her genetics define who she is, nor will she let her past identity of "Sonic's obsessive fangirl" define who she is either. Some are skeptical about Amy's loyalty in the fallout of Shadow's relapsing, but Tails believes in her.
Tails had a feeling that Cosmo was calling about Amy, and that made them excited.
Excited that this may be what sets Cosmo free…
As weird as that may sound.
"Tailsy!! Hi!" Cosmo greeted them excitedly.
"Hey Cosmo..! Good morning." Tails responded. "I assume you're calling me to talk about the Amy situation?" They added, getting straight to the point.
"Ah Tailsy, you know me so well~!" Cosmo answered with a giggle.
"I'm surprised that it took you as long as you did to do so…!" Tails admitted.
"Hmph! I'm a busy woman, you know! With the rebuilding of the damage the Metarex did finally out of the way--"
"Wait, you JUST got finished with repairs?! Didn't the Metarex attack you guys like… really soon after we had met?"
"I blame our lack of direction… We still don't have a new Prime Minister." Cosmo explained.
"Ah, I see." Tails said. "What did you wanna talk to me about as far as Amy goes, anyway?"
"Well, I got word that she should be getting a letter from her half brother -- he wasn't sure if Amy would've been able to hear him through the hivemind. I wanted to ask you if any of you had checked the mailbox today-" Cosmo began to explain, before being interrupted by the creaking sound of Tails's bedroom door being opened.
"Are you talking about me to someone..?" Amy asked Tails in a tired, but concerned tone.
"Well -- Amy - You see -!"
"Amy!! It's been so long since I've seen you!" Cosmo said excitedly, which caused Amy to get just as excited.
"Is that Cosmo?! Oh my Chaos! It's been so long since I've seen you too!! How are you??" Amy responded, getting next to Tails in order to see Cosmo.
"I'm well, and very busy… I've only really been able to keep in contact with Tails with everything that's been going on here…" Cosmo explained to Amy.
"I understand! I've been pretty busy myself, especially recently…"
"Oh. Would you be too busy then to maybe check your mailbox? A friend of mine sent a letter your way, Amy."
"Oh, not at all! I'd love to see what your friend wrote for me!" Amy then began to make her way out of Tails's room, before stopping herself as a thought came to mind. "You should visit us again sometime! Things have changed a lot since your last visit, but I think that everyone would appreciate seeing you again. Might raise their spirits, ya know?"
"I'd love to visit Aerth again… This time intentionally. I'll think about it and see if I have the time." Cosmo responded sweetly, smiling to Amy. Amy smiled back and left the room.
"What's this letter even about, anyway?" Tails questioned.
"You'll find out soon~!" Cosmo answered vaguely, giving them a wink before suddenly ending the call.
"... She sure is a sneaky one, isn't she?"

Final Space Season 3 Episode 1 Review **SPOILER WARNING!!**
...And Into The Fire we go!
I really have wanted to do a Final Space review for a while, so now - I'm going to do it, fuck it. Starting a couple episodes late, but after [insert shenanigans] I needed to let it cool off before getting back into it.
One last warning: THESE ARE NOT SPOILER FREE REVIEWS. DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE NOT SPOILED AND DO NOT WANT TO BE. THESE ARE GOING TO HAVE SOME SUMMARIZATION INVOLVED.
With the disclaimer out of the way, let's get into it.
Tumblr media
So, first of all, I have to acknowledge that this cold open? Fucking toasty. The entire first five or six minutes of this episode is flat out amazing and some of the best that Final Space is. Really intense - I love the dramatic cold open to a space chase.
Also, however, brief, the Quinnary reunion was nice. Quinnary is a ship that I enjoy subjectively more than objectively, but considering it really hits now even if S1 had issues... I can look past it yo.
Tumblr media
Invictus proves his power and intimidation incredibly well this episode, between the Gary Zombies and even this first incredibly terrifying matchup - even Mooncake, who in any other situation has been able to zap it away, couldn't touch it. Really setting the villain well.
Small thing I want to acknowledge because there was some discourse on it -- Sheryl saying "I'm his mother; where do you think he got it from?" Was really nice to me. Obviously not all is forgiven, nor should it be, but it's just a nice bit of character development.
Then, Ava gets Yeeted by Bolo and breaks.
Tumblr media
I could have taken a better screencap probably, but I will not.
Anyways, considering the cast of characters was way too fucking big in S2, I'm not... particularly aggrieved by this, especially since I didn't really like AVA anyways, but it is pretty unfortunate that one of the only female characters just got the ax without basically any development other than the obligatory robot comphet stuff. Whatever, I think this is setting the stage for HUE AI, so I'll bite my tongue.
That said, the conversation that HUE and AVA had before she died? Sweet.
And then they're in Final Space. Goddamn, they really went the extra mile animating and illustrating this episode. Gotta acknowledge it.
Also, quick note: New OP is a banger.
Tumblr media
...And this is when the review's going to start getting a bit more negative, because we jump straight into everyone's favorite trope: a time skip.
I. I really have issues with this timeskip. This episode was fucking ballistic in the pacing, and I really, really wish that I could have spent some more time within Final Space just trying to survive. I get it. It was a premiere, so you wanted to go all out, but... I really wish we could have savored it. There's just suddenly a timeskip! We don't get to see how they've been surviving. We don't get to see shit. Quinn just suddenly appears in a new outfit, and then we're off the races.
I dunno man, I really had issues with the pacing of this episode, and this is the backbone of it. It's okay to take a breather, even in your opening episode. You have to know when to take a breather. This episode sorely needed it, and it didn't get it.
Also, obligatory Danger Groins mention. Yeah, I know that's not what he says. It's what he says in my heart, tho.
From here, the Gary zombies show up, which are... admittedly intimidating.
Tumblr media
They get attacked, and - okay, can we fucking mention the titan fights for a moment? No matter what happens this season, I'm here for this. This is Gurren Lagann levels of ridiculous, and I fucking love it. Smash that planet, yo.
Tumblr media
lThey get separated, and Avocato and Gary have a bit unfitting but fucking hilarious moment that has to be acknowledged. This shit ain't straight, yo. There's no fucking way you tell me this shit is straight.
Tumblr media
And... *sigh* I really have some goddamn issues with the next... I don't know, I wasn't watching, six minutes?
"There's no more grossout scenes," we were told. "Season 2 gross out is done. No more weird fetishes."
Okay.
Okay, sure.
Tumblr media
I'm sparing you the images, because I don't want to post grossout on my blog, but... holy shit, Quatronostro's birth scene. First of all, which of the fuckers on the blog keeps putting their fetishes in this show? Clarence is gone, so you're making Mpreg Tribore (I realize Tribore is canonically genderfluid, but he's male presenting at the time of this birth... and at every time... I don't have faith in two cishet men to actually make good on that, sorry. I hope I'm wrong.) Stop it. Stop it. Stop it.
The scene is gross, uncomfortable grossout. This isn't the 90s anymore!
Also, the other thing I have to acknowledge - that motherfucking robot. It's season 3 - haven't we moved past the screaming = funny leftover humor from Olan's YouTube days? Clearly fucking not.
Also, Ash did a really out of character thing this episode by shooting the robot. I... what is Ash's character, exactly? Ash is an inconsistent enigma. Someone define that poor girl's character, already.
After that... mess.... though, we do end up with a very solid ending. Bolo headbutts the planet, Quinn and Gary get swept up in the blast, and we end up with a very beautiful but quick scene of Gary and Quinn embracing one last time - it's very reminiscent of chapter 9, and I did thoroughly enjoy it.
Tumblr media
iAlso, the shot of Mooncake saying "Gar" while looking for Gary, presuming he's dead? Oh, that just hurts.
And then we end with HUE saying, "We are alone, Gary." Honestly, genuinely was a little disappointed to find it wasn't just HUE and Gary. I thought this line was going to come later in the season, and it was just going to be HUE and Gary in a callback from season one. It wasn't, and I'm genuinely very disappointed as someone who's favorite dynamic in the entire show is S1 HUE and Gary. Of course, as a result, I'm not unbiased, and... well, I do stan Quinn too.
Tumblr media
And goddamn, look at the Earth. She got fucked uuuuuup. I think I remember hearing next episode that there's only one survivor left, which I do NOT buy as a concept, but it's very cool to see a show that does not shy away from full apocalypse scale destruction of the earth. It like, never happens, so it's a nice subversion. Get fucked, earth.
Overall Thoughts:
This episode is the definition of a mixed bag. The beginning is fantastic and the ending is solid (even if personally disappointing), but the middle is genuinely kind of bad. The pacing is rough, there's season 2 tier grossout that I did NOT need to see, and that robot deserved a punt in the face.
The animation is fantastic though. Everyone point and stare at the animation.
I still think the good outweighed the bad, though - if only because of my personal attachment to the characters. I think this was a decent episode - probably on par with the other openers... actually, I don't know.
My disappointment with this episode was more than with the Toro Regatta, but that was more due to my own expectations and thus not fair to rank it that way. I don't know - all the first episodes of the seasons are meh at best, and this unfortunately due to the lackluster middle fit that mold as well.
If you asked me to give it a ranking, I'd probably say if we assume a 5 out of 10 is average, I'd give it a 6. Decent, fantastic when it's good, but the entire middle section really brought me out of it and because of that I can't give it anything more than that.
I've heard episodes two and three are good, though - excited to see the Ventrexian for myself after all the fuss, so let's see how it holds up!
I'm scared for Biskit tho.

Lonely Heart pt.5
Tumblr media
Pairings: Lierra x OC
(A/N : Hi again! I’m excited to announce that the song “You” in this chapter is written by me! :) So pls don’t steal it :( And I’m also less busy this month so part 6 might be out soon! So yeah, hope you enjoyed this chapter, See you in the next one!)
*Luke’s POV*
They arrived at Ashton’s. His palms are sweating, and his throat was getting dryer by the second. Sierra placed her hand on his shoulder, slightly calming his nerves. They stood in of his door. He hesitated on knocking, Sierra had tired of waiting and knocked. Nothing happened at first, Luke knocked this time. There were footsteps, and the door opened. “Look, its early in the morning, so what the fuc- Oh. You two. He groaned.  “ I-Is Iris here?” Sierra asked him.  “You didn’t check your phones?” He said, slightly irritated. The two took out their phones.
They checked their messages:
[10:00 pm, 09/10/2020] Iris <3 : Hey. Just wanted to tell you that I’m leaving for tour early. I cleared up everything with Ashley and my bandmates. I will be leaving at midnight tonight. You’re welcome to come and see me off, only if you want to. I’ll be with Ashley for the while leg of the tour, we might have separate shows, but we’ll wait for the management announcement.
[10:00 pm, 09/10/2020] Iris <3 : I just wanna say that I apologise for being so distant , I’ve been in a really bad headspace lately. I’m sorry. It’s my fault for making you mad, making Sierra upset and everything.
“Fuck.” he whispered. Ashton was staring at them, arms crossed. "Have you realized what you've done?" Ashton said. They didn't have the chance to speak. "You absolutely wrecked her, you know that? Both of you. I thought you're better than this. She came here, soaked to the skin. She could get sick, and you both know that she gets sick easily. She was trying to keep herself together. She on a verge on an attack, thank god Katniss was there to calm her down. I wanted to march up to your house and beat your ass . But Iris wouldn't let me, you know why? it's because she loves you, Lucas. And that's the only thing stopping me from beating your ass." He scolded. Luke was looking at the ground, ashamed.
"And Sierra, you know what the media could do. They'd do anything to tear people apart, fuck with their mental health, twisting lies into stories with without knowing the real truth. One article could turn people against each other. I really thought that maybe you would understand a little more about this." He said. Ashton was disappointed. He sighed. "Now that you have your answer, I have a lemon tree to save. Goodnight." He said, closing the door on them. The two walked back to their car.
What were they gonna do now?
*Iris's POV*
The live session was a blast. Once she felt sensation of the bass, the sound of the guitar, the kick of the drums, she never felt so alive. They were covering "I Don't Love You" by My Chemical Romance. She felt the problems slowly melt away when she started singing. She sang each verse with all she got. It was pure, raw emotion, the one that could make everyone tear up. It's like she was a different person. Long gone the Iris that was depressed. The Iris on stage now was, way more brighter and her eyes seems to shine with unshed tears. This side of Iris only comes out when she's performing. Usually, without the tears. The crowd cheered her on. She was smiling. The trio gave each other knowing glances, once the adrenaline from performing wears off, she would go back to the woman she was before.
Sad and empty.
They thanked the crowd and the host and went backstage. They were buzzing with adrenaline. "You guys, wanna grab some food before we go back to the hotel?" Maia said. Julia and Helena nodded. "Iris?" Helena said. Iris's head snapped up. "You okay there? Your lookin' a little bit pale, shortcake." Helena said. Iris rubbed her face. "I'm alright, Just need fresh air, that's all. Maybe something to eat." She said. The trio was looking at her worriedly. "Guys. I promise, I'm okay, don't worry." she shyly smiled, nervous from the looks her bandmates were giving her. "Macca's?" Julia said. "Sure." Maia said.
*timeskip*
"That's all your going eat?" Julia said. Iris was eating her veggie dippers. "Yeah. I'm not that hungry." she mumbled. "Bullshit. You haven't eaten anything since last night." Julia said. "Take some my fries." Maia said. "Maia, I can't take it. It's your food." she declined. "Iris, we won't let you fuckin' starve. We have a long night of performing coming up. And you need the energy." Maia said. Iris stared at the ground. Helena rubbed her back, "Please, Iris. We all know you have haven't been doing well." Maia said. "Fine."
"Good girl." Julia said. "Wow, Julia. I didn't know you were into that kinda of stuff~" Iris teased. Helena choked on her drink. Julia looked at Helena, confused. Maia shoved Julia's shoulder. The look of realization dawned on her face. "Oh. Iris, you kinky bitch." She said, smirking. "Well, someone's gotta be the Yuri in this club, and you guys don't have to balls to be him. " she teased again.
They heard cameras clicking.
"Paps." they said in unison.  “Shit.” Helena mumbled.  “We have to get out of here, quickly.” Julia said. The group got out and tried to get to Maia’s car. Iris was soon cornered by the paps.
“Iris, you know they can do better!”
“Is it difficult having TWO partners? Having to be jealous all the time and fighting for attention – what does that feel like?”
She kept quiet.
“What do you think to the rumours that you cheated on them? There’s evidence of you spending the night with a mysterious female.”
“You’re really nothing special though are you? They won’t stick around for long, whore.”
“We’ve seen the scars on your arms.”
“Don’t you think that’s a bad image for your band?”
“You should look into conversion therapy, disgusting whore.”
“What about your partners? Should they have to deal with that on top of everything they should be doing?”
“You’re nothing but a slut. A cheating, useless piece of shit.”
“You’ll be better off dead.”
“'Lena…” She mumbled, searching for any of her bandmates over the crowd, she felt her vision go hazy for a bit as she desprately tried to push through the paps. She was so close from losing her sanity. The paps was closing in, blocking her in. Insults was thrown her way. She was going to break.
Then she felt their arms. Helena's strong hand gripping hers and pulling her into their arms, cradling her against her chest and Julia pushing through the crowd telling the paparazzi to fuck off along the way.“Get away from her!” She pushed the paps away from the duo while Helena helped Iris up. “We just want answers!” One of the paps shouted back at them. “Well, you’re not gonna get any so take your camera, shove it up your fucking asshole, and fuck off!”
They got her into the car. Maia drove away from the scene as fast as she could. Iris's hands was shaking. “Iris?” Julia ask, her hand moving to cup her face. “Iris, come on.” Julia pleaded, she was desperately trying to help her calm her down, holding her hands and trying to help her breathe. “They said such horrible things.” Iris mumbled. “They’re just trying to get a response.” Helena said.
"Can we call, Ash?" she meekly asked. "Of course, shortcake." Helena said. Julia called him.
"Hey, Julia. Is everything alright?"
"Um... about that."
"What's wrong?"
"Well, we had a run in with paps eariler and they cornered Iris."
"What?! Is she okay? Did the paps do anything?"
"Well, they verbally harassed her. We might ask management to file a lawsuit. As for Iris? She's the reason why I called, wait a minute-
"'Lena take the phone."
Helena took the phone from Julia.
"Hey, Lemon boy"
"Hey, Helena. Is Iris with you?"
"Yup. Let me hand the phone to her."
"Thanks"
She passed the phone to Iris.
"Hey, Ash..."
"Hey, Sunshine. Are you okay? Did they do anything to you?"
"They were closing in on me, taking photos of me and said bad things."
"What kind of bad things did they say, sunshine? "
"That I’m not good enough, they keep insisting that I cheated. They said that I look into converstion therapy-"
She was startled by Helena's hand on her shoulder. "Let it out." She mouthed to her.
"They joked about my scars, they said I would be better off dead." she choked out.
"They what?! Oh, Iris, I'm so sorry."
She sobbed.
" Iris, listen."
"What they said.... it's all lies. You hear me? They are lies. You are not what they paint you to be, they don't know who you really are. You are amazing. You are the most amazing person I know, the boys loves you.... even Luke. He came by with Sierra the night after you left. I didn't do anything, like I promise. But you bet I gave him an earful. But all that aside, Iris, you deserve to be here, and you are good enough. You make people happy. Your fans? They all love you, you make them smile, you make them feels safe. This will pass, things will get easier. I promise you."
"What if I fail to do so, Ash? What if I disappoint everyone?"
"You won't. Trust me, you are not a failure. You will get better. You will heal. You will be stronger than ever. You will make it through this."
"Are they alright?"
"You're seriously asking that? You're not okay and you're asking if they're alright?"
"Please Ash... I want to know."
They arrived at the hotel.
"Yes, they are. You don't have to worry. All you have to worry now is me giving you a lecture. Look outside."
"What?"
"Just look outside."
She looked outside to see Ashton, giving her one of his signature smiles. Beside him.....Luke and Sierra.
"Ashton?"
"Hey, sunshine."
She paled. She turned at the bandmates and chuckled shakily.
"Am I finally going crazy? Is they really here?"
She looked at Luke and Sierra, laughing disbelievingly. Shaking her head, she walked up to them. She prodded Luke at his chest angrily, as she laughed. "You had the fucking nerve to show up here." She was chuckling yet crying in the same time. "Where were you, Lucas. Where the fuck were you when I needed you?!" she said. She stumbled back, shaking her head. Iris's knees gave out. Maia reached out to steady her. "Can we get out of here, please?" She whispered to her. Maia looked at Helena and Julia. "Let's get her inside." She said, quietly. They nodded. They moved to get her inside. Sierra moved to stop them. "Let's talk this through, please." She said to Iris. Helena glowered at her. She stood in front Iris protectively.
"After what you've done, you think you could just come up here and expect her to talk? After the pain you put her through? No, ma'am. You lost that right." Helena said. "Hey, don't talk to her like that." Luke defended her. Julia stepped forward. "Don't think we forgot about YOU, Hemmings." She said. "You don't get to come up here, all high and mighty and expect that we let you go that easily." Helena said. “You two are fucking dumb if you really believe that's a way to treat our bandmate.” Maia said.
“If anyone should be arguing, it should be me.” Iris said, as she straightened up and six pairs of eyes snapped to her. "Thank you for standing up for me, guys." she said to her bandmates. They shrugged and smiled. "Pop off, bestfren." Maia playfully winked at her. Iris smiled and turned to face the duo. The look that they gave her made her newfound anger surge.
“You both don’t get to look at me like that.” She snapped, causing them to reel back in suprise. They never seen her this mad, never at them. "If you gave me the chance to talk back then, we wouldn't have this bullshit." she said. Their faces fell in guilt. The Iris she was before this would've cave in and forgive them but she was seething with anger now to care.
"If you'd noticed the sleepless nights I had, the bag under my eyes. If you'd have cared to even try and listen to what I had to say, maybe I wouldn't be fuckin' pissed at you right now!" Iris snapped and Luke flinched back.
If they'd only looked into her eyes, they would see the bottled up emotions that was threatening to explode. It felt wrong to see Iris so angry. She was always been the one to break up arguements, not start them. "Did you know how much suffering you caused me? Do you know how much pain I've been through? I never asked for this, you know? I never asked for us to fight. I hate fighting, you know that?" She said. She looked at them, they were looking down to the ground.
"Look at me." she pleaded. Her anger disappated. Their heads immediately snapped up."I d-don't think I contribute to this relationship anymore." her broken voice reached their ears.
"Iris!" They called out, but she's gone. Luke frantically searched for her. "Luke, we still have one more chance." Sierra said. "Sierra, there's no more chance. We lost her." He said. "And it's all my fault." he whimpered. "Luke, honey. We have her concert tickets, thanks to Ashley. Let's not waste this chance alright?" She said.
*timeskip*
Two hours till the concert. The stage staff were moving around, making sure that everything goes well. After the encounter, Iris fell in the hotel bed and proceeded take a long nap. And woke up just in time for rehearsal.
Seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hours. Iris drank some vodka that was prepared by the staff, it did so little to calm her nerves. She was pacing around. “Iris?” Her makeup stylist called out. Her head shot up, “Yes, David?” She said. “It’s time for your makeup, and then your outfit." He reminded. She smiled softly at him, "Alright, I'm coming."
She got dressed and sat on the chair."So what would we like on this wonderful night?" He said prepairing the brushes. "I was thinking of skeleton kinda look. Some black, a little red." She said. "That sounds good. Would you like some to put glitter on the black part?" he asked. "Sure" she nodded.
(A/N: Here’s the outfit. Credit to @boy..brainr0t for the makeup look)

They made a small talk about the weather and the upcoming shows. Half an hour later, David finished. "Wow, you did a great job! I love it so much, thanks David! " Iris said, her mood brightened. "No probs, Iris." He said with a smile. She side hugged him and left the room.
"Looking good, shortcake! That choker looks deadly, in a good way." Helena hyped her up. Iris flushed. "Enough about me, look at your mohawk! The spikes are as deadly as my choker! " She said, smiling. "Can I.... touch them? " Iris said. It was like a child asking for candy. "Knock yourself out, shortcake. " She shrugged. Iris's eyes shined with excitement and she poked it. "It's rock hard, did you use hairspray?" she asked, "I did. Used a little bit of hair pomade. Gotta make sure it won't fall while performing." Helena explained. "That's cool." Iris giggled.
"Hey, cuties!" Julia hollered from arcoss the room. "Its almost time, get your sexy asses over here!" Maia said alongside Julia. "Alright, alright, we're coming!" Iris shouted back. "You look like Gerard Way, Iris." Julia said. "Awh, Julia that's nicest thing you ever said to me" she joked. Julia playfully punched her in the shoulder. "Heeeey" She pouted. "Hey guys!" Ashley jogged over to them. "Hey, Ashley" They said. "You ready to go up there?" She asked. "Yeah, it's been a while since we last went on stage, still kinda nervous, but excited." Iris said. "Excuse me, sorry to interrupt, but you guys are up in 10" the stage manager informed them. "Alright, thank you for informing us" Julia thanked the staff. "You welcome." the staff said, then walked away.
"Go get ready, I can't wait to see you guys out there." Ashley said, before leaving to get ready herself. "You ready?" Maia asked. " As ready as I'll ever be" Iris said. Her eyes shining with excitement. The group fistbumped each other and went on stage.
"GOOD EVENING, LONDON!" Iris screamed into the mic. The crowd screamed. "ARE YOU READY?" The crowd cheered. "WE CAN'T HEAR YOU" The crowd screamed. The intro for their song "You" started playing.
You,
The thought of you makes me sick
Heaven and Hell doesn’t scare me anymore
Not when your with me
Why you gotta be so greedy?
I’m giving all I have to you,
But you keep asking for more,I’m dying, can’t you see? (Look at me)
My blood stains the floor
And I know you love seeing me like this
When it comes to you, (you temptress)
You act so innocent, like an angel in disguise
Always painting yourself as holy
But your tainted halo says otherwise, my dear
Iris sang, stomping her feet to the rhythm. She was smiling, looking out to the crowd. And then she saw familiar head of curls. It was Luke. Her eyes widened, trying to maintain her composure as she sang. She looked at Julia, who noticed them too.
Look at what you’ve become
My still beating heart you hold,
Your knife against my throat.
I’m on the floor, barely breathing (Gasping for air)
My mind tormented by your lies
There’s no escape from you (Never)
There’s no saving for me
“Oh, my darling sweetheart” you said,
With your hands around my neck
“Let me own you” you whispered
Your cold breath makes me shiver
Death knocks on the door (It’s time)
She puts on a facade, performing all the energy she had. Maia and Helena soon caught up with the situation immediately. They were soon picking up on the energy that Iris is giving out. She was nervous. Very nervous.  Her heterochromia eyes instantly found blue ones.  She wanted to run off stage but her pride wouldn’t let her. What would the fans think of her if she did? She didn't want to be coward.
*Lierra's POV*
They were standing somewhat near to the stage, same as the people that are there, they were all waiting for the show to start. Soon, Iris came on stage along with her band mates. The crowd screamed and cheered.
"GOOD EVENING, LONDON!" she said. She sounded so different from 4 hours ago. She looked beautiful as always, her facial features were enhanced by her stage makeup. "ARE YOU READY?" They cheered. "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" They cheered even louder.
Iris smirked. "Helena, darling. If you please." she said. They both knew it was her persona on stage to be a little flirty , but Sierra couldn't stop but feel a little bit of jealousy. Helena was smirking on the screen. " ONE, TWO, THREE-" Helena said, before she started playing the drums. The intro sounds familiar to them. Then Iris started singing.
In their eyes, she was the most ethereal being they ever seen. She was confident when she sing, it was beautiful.
Midway through the song, their eyes met. Luke could see her eyes widening. She turned to Julia. Julia gave her a brief nod. She turned to the front, with a smile on her face. He gave Sierra a look. She shared the same look, they clearly knew that she was faking her expression. And the thought of that made them feel even more guilty.
*Back to Iris*
Look at what I’ve become
My still heart you hold,
Your knife still against my throat.
I’m on the floor, still and silent
My mind corrupted by your lies
There’s no escape from you
There’s no redemption for me.
As she sang the last verse, the crowd cheered and clapped. She was a little sweaty and she was a little out of breath.  She kept on smiling. Her bandmates joined her at the front. Ashley comes on stage next. “Good Evening, London!” Ashley said. The crowd screamed. “ I would like to thank my good friends, The Temptress, for their AMAZING performance tonight!” She exclaimed. The crowd screamed again. "You welcome, Halsey." she said.
In the corner of her she saw a sign. The sign said "It's Nia!". Her eyes shined. "Well won't you look at that, Hi Nia." She waved at the girl direction. A group of girls were screaming as she said that. "Thank you again for the wonderful gift you gave me yesterday, darling. I really appreciate it." She said. The group screamed again. She was smiling. A real smile. The camera was on her and the crowd screamed again. She and her bandmates said their goodbyes to the crowd and Halsey and went off backstage.
She took off her facade and became unsually quiet. She plopped on the couch and drank the vodka she poured for herself. Her friends didn't know if they should comfort her or give her space. "Hey, shortcake." Helena said softly. Iris just leaned against her, her head on her shoulder. "You okay, bub?" Helena said. Iris just buried her face further into her neck.
 "I don't know, 'Lena."

oh, three? that's pretty young. he can talk? sorry, i don't know how babies work. that's sad. maybe try not taking their candy next time. it is?? wow. that sounds like a really cool name. either ash or asher works.
so do i. of course they aren't. you believe in magic too, huh? they don't exist. i'm sure of it. if we don't anything about other galaxies, how do you know they're real? uh huh.
question. do you prefer mr or ms? or mx? i need to know which one so i can mock you. :)
even strangers. once i saw this really cool person at hot topic with a pretty dress (i think?) or something. i still remember them. never had a stranger compliment me. do i? i always try to act like i have the biggest dick in town. don't think it's working very well.
maybe not. but you're still a good person.
no darling, i'm skilled. it's a talent. i lie about everything for no reason. i don't know why. i'm used to it, though. i think i'm very fake, i have about 30 different personalities
you're a hopeless romantic. no denying it, love. at least you're self aware. give me one movie that's good and sappy. i've never heard of one.
you should give me yours too, y'know. only fair, right? only joking. most are.. weird. i don't know. i swear what i listen to are better than my playlists. you should listen to 'lover is a day' by cuco. it's really good. if you haven't already.
i don't have much coffee. i've never gotten into it. don't go insane with the caffeine, v. have you ever drank monster? do you have a favorite flavor?
thank you. i haven't heard that in a while. seriously, verity. means a lot. i'm glad! do you go in person, or what? i've never really known how therapy works n stuff.
school isn't too bad for me. the only negative bit was a practice quiz. i filled in half of the questions, and got all but 2 wrong. it's okay. i guess. on monday we'll take the same quiz, but i don't wanna get it wrong. it's easy too! i'll study, i just suck at memorizing stuff. continents and oceans, match them and blah blah. probably 4th grade stuff but i'm still bad at it. even if i do bad on monday, it wouldn't make me dumb. right?
sorry for responding late. i went to sleep at like 11 pm yesterday, i was tired. got good rest?
ahh, okay. yes, that makes sense. enjoy the weekend!! hope you feel better now? relax, love. take it easy and do whatever you enjoy the most. right now, i hope you're feeling refreshed and nice. new day, new start. agh, sorry. i don't know what to say. but today will be different, good, hopefully.
(i said hope a lot, huh?)
did you? it's not long at all, but you finished it in a day? i'm glad you liked it! it also has a nice cover. i think my english teacher has another book from mitch albom, so i'll ask about it once i finish twilight. also. i'll read more of it today!
— 🐢
most kids start actually talking from anywhere from 9ish months to 2 years. but, obviously, they can make noise before that. i started talking pretty early as i’m told. he talks extremely well. pfft. i give him candy, if anything. i just don’t see him enough.
it is pretty cool, annoying in school though. ash or asher, got it.
not magic. i wish. honestly, humans can’t be the only living things in the universe. think of how many species are just on earth.
any and all. though i don’t prefer the mocking (yes i do).
technically i’m a stranger, and i think you’re amazing. so there. it’s working very well, i assure you.
have you ever told me a lie? i won’t be offended if you have. you’re not fake if you know that you lie, and if you think you are? clearly, you’re very real.
um, 2005 pride and prejudice. crimson peak. 50 first dates. literally dr strange. the loki series?? they’re all sappy, they’re all good. do you have a favorite movie btw? we’ve discussed shows, but not movies.
i don’t actually use spotify a lot. but maybe i’ll make a playlist and then give you it. it’ll be embarrassingly sappy, i assure you. i like your playlists! i listened to some of them while i finished cleaning last night.
ahahaha i am a caffeine monster. literally. i got absolutely insane with caffeine and then i crash. so i don’t have it too much, don’t want to become addicted and all that. but coffee is the love of my life, anyway. umm i’ve tried a tangy one? i think that’s a flavor? usually i just drink the ones my friend leaves behind. what’s your favorite flavor, maybe i’ll try it.
i used to go fully in person but then covid happened and we switched to online for a while. i go most times now, but sometimes online if my schedule is difficult. if you’ve ever seen therapy in a movie, it’s pretty similar. honestly just more down to earth, less dramatic. at least, for me.
quizzes are literal hell. i hate them, i hate tests. and i’m really bad at taking both. geography sucks, i don’t know anything about it. just that. well. there are seven continents (right?) of course it wouldn’t make you look dumb. you’re very smart.
glad you went to bed then. i slept strangely, and woke up early. i’ll probably sleep more tonight.
went to the store today. bought another blanket (i had four on my bed) and then i have an eye appointment soon. so, better. i do best when i’m busy. which is why i clean so much.
i read really fast. too fast. yes they seem like a really good writer. i’ll look for some more in the library. enjoy twilight!

Late Night Louisiana Pt. 3
Summary: It’s late 19th century, Y/N moves to Louisiana to learn more about vampires. But what happens when she finds one likely creature of the night at Porterhollow Cemetery?
LNL Masterlist
Pairing: Vampire!bucky x reader
A/N: are y’all liking this so far??
Tumblr media
"You're known to cover up half your face with a bandana or have your whole face in the shadows. I assumed it was because you had lengthy teeth, like a walrus." I explained. He gave me a confused look before shaking his head, "What's your name?" I asked. "Why should I tell you?" He leaned in, his nose inches from my own. "Because I would like to be your friend. I mean, I could just keep calling you Wrecker." I shrug. "It's up to you." I said. "Why are you here?" he asked.
"Why haven't you been to the tavern?" I asked completely ignoring his question. I've been itching to know the answer for weeks, months. "Haven't felt like being around people. Why? Someone there expecting me?"
"No, well yes. Me, I have. I've been waiting for you to walk into that damned place for a year. I've wanted to meet you for some time now, Wreck." I stepped back from him and bumped into something hard, I turn around and there stood a tall angel statue.
"I'm no big bug, darlin."
"But you are, you're a creature of the night. I find you extremely fascinating." I smile up at him.
"Creature of the night?" He scoffed. "Well, this creature of the night is mighty hungry." He paused and looked around. "And it seems as though you're the only living thing around. Guess now you're my dinner."
"You wouldn't." I said matter of factly and crossed my arms. "Oh and why wouldn't I? Enlighten me." He chuckled as he took a step closer, trapping me in between him and the angel statue.
"You only feed on drunk bastards. How does it taste, by the way? Do you get drunk off of their blood?" I smirked. Now that his face was just inches from mine and the moon was shining perfectly on his face. Since he was so close I could study his face, I could see every flaw there was if he even had any. He had a few freckles across the bridge of his nose.
Folk these days despise freckles for some ungodly reason. Personally I like them, they make you look younger and sweet. Freckles are a precious thing to me. His lips were pink and plump, they looked incredibly soft. And scruff?! He has scruff! My hands cupped his face feeling his beard. "Does your hair grow faster than it did before?" I asked, completely amazed. Here I am, in Porterhollow, trapped in between a creepy and cold might I add, angel statue and this extraordinary vampire. I am genuinely the luckiest person in Louisiana right now. "Can you sleep? Or are you up all the time?"
"I sleep, it's kind of hard on stone, though." My heart broke at his answer.
"Does sunlight hurt you?"
"No, the whole burning into ash as soon as the sun hits me is a myth. My eyes are just very sensitive."
"Why don't you um, why don't you come sleep at my house for the night. I'd feel bad if I left here, knowing you sleep in mausoleums. You can sleep on a comfortable bed. With blankets." I smiled, hoping he would accept my invitation.
"Where do you live?" He asked and took my hand, pressing my palm to his. "Um, west side of the lake, I'm surrounded by trees, not a lot of neighbors."
I glanced between our hands pressed together and his eyes, his eyes were glued to mine the whole time. "Do you live alone?" He asked.
"Y-Yes. Yes I do." I said, he narrowed his eyes as if he didn't believe me. If it seemed possible he stared deeper into my eyes. Seconds later he withdrew his hand from mine, "Thats dangerous, y'know, living alone."
"Well I've been on my own for awhile now and I'm still here." I shrugged. I'm an independent woman. I can hold my own, thank you very much.
"Well ya never know what could happen. You might end up with a vampire in your home." He smiled and took a step back. "So is that a yes?" I bit my lip trying to hold back a squeal. He slowly nodded. "Put your bandana on." He laughed and shook his head. Once he put it on I took his hand in mine and practically drug him out of the foggy cemetery. I took him through the back way, through the woods. I normally would have gone through the city if I were alone, but I'm with a vampire hungry for drunkards, I feel incredibly safe. "How old are you?" He asked.
"I am twenty-four years of age. How old are you wreck?"
"Going on fifty years old." He nodded with purses lips. "Well, you don't look a day over thirty!" I teased. He rolled his eyes and smiled.
"I wish I could stop aging. Especially right now at this age. Perfect age to stay at forever. You're so lucky."
"It's actually terribly. I had to watch all of my friends get married, have kids, and die. Their kids are about your age, maybe a little bit older." His voice was low and dull, no emotion could be detected in his voice. He definitely felt like he was missing out. Silence followed after that.
After a few minutes of walking around logs and fighting off those dumb galnippers, we finally made it to my lovely little cabin. "This is it." I walked in and looked around for a box of matches to light to a couple lanterns. Usually two lanterns lit up the whole cabin, mine was rather small. It consisted of a table with three chairs, a tiny kitchen and then there's two rooms in the back, a bedroom and a bathroom.
Once I lit the lanterns up I saw Wreck already snooping around with his hands behind his back. He was looking at a painting of Steve and I. "Right. Forgot... you have night vision." I said. He glanced back confused, "Who told you that?"
"Oh... you don't have night vision?"
"No, I do. But how would you know?"
"Well I've heard many uh, many stories of you. I heard that you had night vision in one of them."
"Are you like obsessed with me or something?" He raised his brows and smirked. "No! For lands sake! I am not obsessed with you! I simply just want to know more about what you are and the heightened abilities that you possess." I let out a huff of breath and glared at him. "You talk just like a book." He muttered. "Well I'm sorry! Would you have preferred me to be an uneducated woman?"
"No. Didn't mean it as an insult, really. Just never met such a well spoken woman with such beauty."
His comment made my breath hitch. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were flirting with me, Wreck."
"Yeah well maybe I am. You're the first person to speak to me in a nice manner and not treat me like a monster and you're also a very beautiful woman." He winked at me and walked over from the little dresser. "I'm gonna go get a bite." He said.
"Will you—are you gonna come back?" I stared up at him with hopeful eyes. "Yeah." He kisses my cheek and left, closing the front door behind him.
I slump down in the chair and hold my cheek.
Are vampires this flirtatious?
Is it in their nature?
Are they all handsome?
My heart beats fast as I ask myself all these questions.
But wait. I told him he could sleep in my bed tonight. Why would I do that? I only have one bed. Where the hell am I supposed to sleep? And what the hell possessed me to invite him to my home?
It was those damned eyes, I bet.
I don't particularly want to sleep on some made up pallet on the floor and I'm not sleeping in this hard chair.
The bed is big enough for the both of us. I mean I guess we could sleep in the bed together, it can't hurt. But would he want to sleep in the same bed as me? Of course he would, he hasn't slept in a real bed in years. Surely he won't mind. Yeah, he won't care. He gets to finally sleep on a comfortable bed.
I finally meet a vampire and I invite him to sleep with me in the same night. What is wrong with me?

I am so glad that more and more people are seeing how great IMCW is and how awesome Ash is!
If you haven't read it yet, here's the link : https://archiveofourown.org/works/7356706
Do yourself a favor and read it.
So I am fully at a complete loss for words.
I literally have the worst attention span, so when it comes to reading.. Something really needs to grab my attention.
I rarely opt in to reading anything longer than say 5000 words without lots of recommendation but I figured that after seeing how hard she’d worked on it, I’d read @tinylilemrys ’ In My Cardboard Walls
Now it’s worth noting that contrary to having a very short attention span, I have still read a lot of books.
I wasn’t sure what I was expecting of this story but it literally blew. me. away.
It has been perfectly put together, and unbelievably well written. Of course the characters are all from Merlin, but the originality of the story is undeniable. Every single paragraph was entertaining in one way or another and the way in which it was written really helped me to bond with the characters.
I honestly believe that you could rewrite this with different character names and release it as a book. Like I’d buy it and promote it so hard.
This is better than some of the actually published books that I have read and can we PLEASE appreciate the music that was written and recorded for this too?
You are clearly a woman of many, many outrageous talents and this has become probably my most cherished Merlin fic that I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading.
It was tragically beautiful and I have truly fallen in love with it. As a writer and musician myself, I want to say that you, lady, are an absolute inspiration. ❤️❤️❤️
