Found a copy of C. Northcote Parkinson's Hornblower biography at the used book store and I have to say that conceptually I am obsessed
#the person at the counter was like 'yeah i thought it was real at first haha'#and literally if you did not have context for the fact that hornblower was a fictional character i could see how you'd think it was#also already in the first chapter northcote is doing more to answer my questions than cs forester ever did#i'm sure i'll disagree with some of his takes but hey at least he is a guy who knows the history#perce rambles#percy yells at cecil scott#edit: sorry got his name wrong whoops
