Trigun, but Vash is having a regular day for once and he comes across this visual novel in a shoddy little bookstore on the edge of town. And he’s curious about it, the cover is eye catching and he picks it up and reads it. And he’s so intrigued about the trials and tribulations the main character goes through. His eyes go wide at certain shocking events, he finds himself becoming emotional at the rough parts and he cries when the sad parts tug at his heart. But when he main character smiles in that one panel, that one panel off in the corner of the page he finds himself staring at it for a long time. It warms his heart. He finds himself sitting in that shop for most of the day just reading and reading, flipping page after page. He wants to know more about this character. He wants to imagine the little things about them. He wishes he could know them better. And that main character…is you. In your world.

GOD, i recently just saw Upside-down jellies in person and it is MAGICAL... the way they gently pulsate.... they are so chill I adore them. Incredibly hilarious how they have one of those peek-through domes in the upside down jelly take tho. It's even funnier the way they stick onto the glass haahaha (Upside down jellyfish have a suction-like grip on the tops of their bells so it's very fun to watch them press up against smooth surfaces...)

And,,, I appreciate the Japanese Sea Nettle appearance... they are looking very round 🥺

I also. Love the sea nettle tanks it's so cool how they like, span the height of the entire room and it's like,, you're enveloped in jellyfish. It's really great. If only they weren't so crowded all the time ;-;

What I'm more impressed with, though, is the husbandry of this aquarium. I did a quick search on Mackenzie Neale and. She. Is. AMAZING??? She did two friggin dives to the arctic (as of 2017, I believe), and absolutely adores jellyfish?? Her goal was to find a Chrysaora melanaster, or the Northern Pacific Jelly. Goals. I love it. They even display polyps!! SO so so so many little polyps....... adorable. Mad props to Takuji Oyama and Mackenzie Neale for keeping so many wonderful jellies alive. I think they possibly even discovered a new Lion's Mane Jellyfish and raised it in the aquarium?? wehh ;w;

actually. No. I'm incredibly impressed that they even managed to display fucking STALKED JELLYFISH. THEY ARE SO INCREDIBLY RARE LIKE???? HHHH??????? I've been trying to do my own research about them but they are hardly ever studied (mostly because of rarity, but I suppose public interest in them isn't as widespread as benthic jellies are, haha...)

📣 MEGAPHONE - how loud are they? what do they speak like? got a voice claim?

She has an upbeat voice but not too loud, which is around moderate volume so she can be heard clearly. But she can make her voice very loud if she wants to, especially when excited. She usually speaks in a casual tone and often uses nicknames for friends like "Goku", Take-chan", "Nii-chan" (Ryohei), "Hiyorin" etc. She uses Boku (ボク) to refer to herself.

Her voice claim is Hinata Satou! I linked a sample too (the VA voiced Mizuki here):

☄️ COMET - what do people assume about them? are they right?

Most people assume she's a girl, they're both right and wrong. She doesn't mind, since it doesn't matter that much. The only thing that matters is that she wears cute clothing/fashion without worries. A very important warning is to not refer to her as a cross-dresser when she switches around cute masculine & feminine clothing because Kana and Yui will murder the person who ever says that.

I will make her wear all the cute clothing, it's what she deserves.

🔥 FIRE - do they have any self destructive tendencies? what habits do they have that hinder them from becoming their best self?

I guess being selfless enough to be willing to sacrifice yourself can be considered as a self-destructive tendency. She's also very forgiving. If someone were to stab her maliciously, she'll still forgive them in the end somehow.

A habit that hinders her from becoming her best self is her hard-headed refusal to change. For example, she's really good at hand-to-hand combat but didn't really have much preference for using her weapon. So during training periods when she was younger, she only trained on hand-to-hand combat and didn't really focus much on handling her weapon. It proved to be very disadvantageous down the line because she'd have less options in battle and she can't use the weapon to it's full potential.

Kana

To a certain extent you can say she likes reading. She mainly does it to either pass the time quietly in an idle way (she doesn't like loud noises) or if she wants to do studies/research on certain things (mostly family-related matters).

If there was a genre that she frequents, it would be autobiographies or semi-autobiographies. A notable example would be "No Longer Human" by Osamu Dazai. Between fiction and non-fiction works, she reads non-fiction works more. She does read *all* the romance-centered shoujo manga Kurumi recommends but parts of it leaves her a bit confused and a few headaches.

🌠 SHOOTING STAR - if they could make any wish with no repercussions, what wish would they make?

With absolutely no negative repercussions at all? A wish to fade away in peace (oblivion) and a bright future for her family. She would prefer to die now while she's still at her most "peaceful" point in her life, since she knows it's temporary. Similar to Reborn&co (but not exactly the same), she is a bit of a "cursed child" herself.

BUT only if there's no repercussions though, she knows it would leave her family in shambles if she actually just disappears out of nowhere.

Other extreme scenarios: where her partner gets killed or dies (before she does); or on the flip side, if the partner somehow fatally harms/kills other people that are also most important to her.

Sometimes, I wonder if Reborn can actually read people's minds. Most likely, he's just extremely good at reading people in general.

💔 BROKEN HEART - what could their partner do that would absolutely break their heart?

This question is so angsty, definitely her genre haha but can u really break something that's already long broke---

Betrayal of trust and abandonment - since she already prefers spending time alone, away from people in general and her full trust is only something that she gives out so very very rarely. For someone to become her partner (a significant other or a bestfriend), a huge amount of trust, respect and attachment must be involved. If all of that were to just be thrown away, it would be too cruel and brutal, akin to continuously kicking someone's already dead body. (kana love interest, pls don't actually break her heart 😢 we alr broke it plenty enough)

Yui

📣 MEGAPHONE - how loud are they? what do they speak like? got a voice claim?

He has a laidback voice with a playful tone to it often. It's not that loud, but he can be loud when he is in the mood to annoy people. Depending on the person, he either refers to other people casually, reuse the nicknames Kurumi uses on them or come up with a a really bad one. He uses Boku (ボク) to refer to himself, but sometimes also uses Ore (俺).

His voice claim is Daisuke Hirose! This sample should be closer to what we're going for? It sounds silly enough, which suits him.

🌠 SHOOTING STAR - if they could make any wish with no repercussions, what wish would they make?

All the time in the world to create masterpieces of inventions after another. Creating and fiddling with machines has been a long-time passion of his after all. He would especially love to be able to finish some of his long-term projects (there are even ones that he started when he was just a small kid).

Initially, many people think he's a slacker or a bad student, since he often skips class (he attends just enough to not have problems with moving up grades), but he actually has excellent grades whenever he takes quizzes and exams, which shuts any angry teachers off. There are also others that think that he isn't being a proper "right-hand man", but he surprisingly takes it seriously in his own way. He genuinely cares for the twins, plus a lot of things were sacrificed to get this position too, after all.

FYI Room arrangement is: Master's Bedroom (Ninomiya Parents), Kurumi, Kana, Yui

Lil confused, Is there evidence people made oda change the way he draws women?

Well how he draws women with his formula; the circles and an x, he made that's all him (from what i know). But in terms of before his manga was published he was told by his editor kaoru kushima that his designs for women weren't cute enough.

Taken from his interview with sandman_AP :

"Before One Piece started, I got annoyed when my editor said, 'None of your female characters are cute!' Oda said. "It is the most shocking advice I have ever received from my editors. I couldn't sleep and kept drawing female characters through that night."

So it just makes me wonder what kind of female characters we could have gotten in terms of how Oda drew them.

Plus alot of times many editors will tell mangakas that how they draw women isn't cute enough or that it will not cater to men/boys and have them change either how they draw or design women which is :[

it wasn’t uncommon for your boyfriend to randomly show up at your dorm. normally, he would arrive approximately ten minutes after texting you that he was going to try to take a nap.

but, you knew your boyfriend and you knew he would arrive with his hair tussled and eyes wide and disappointed – from not being able to sleep on his own. you were used to izuku knocking on your dorm room at random hours, you’ve even grown accustomed to this routine.

currently, you’re sat by your door. playing with your matching all might keychain that izuku got you for your birthday when you were young.

knock, smack! knock.

you smiled at the noise, you made that knocking pattern up after one time while trying to knock on your door barely awake, izuku fell asleep and smacked his head off of your door then clumsily tried to knock to cover up the embarrassment he felt in that moment.

you stood up, rushing to your door. a soft smile already on your face.

“hi. i-” izuku tried to defend himself, yet again, he forgets that you are used to this.

“you couldn’t sleep, i know.” you softly nodded and motioned for him to come in.

he smiled crookedly as he rubbed the back of his head, trudging toward your bed and flopping on it.

it was late, around 9 pm, the moonlight replacing the suns glare.

you stood by the door for a minute, admiring your boyfriend.

he laid with one of his hands behind his head lazily, the other hand playing with your all might keychain. he looked so cute. his lips were turned upwards at the sight of the keychain.

the moonlight made his freckles pop, his dark-green hair looking more abnormally fluffier than usual.

you moved towards your boyfriend, plopping down beside him and lifting the covers over you two.

for some reason, your boyfriend just looked so ethereal during calm moments like this. just you two. no fighting for your lives or breaking bones. just peacefulness.

“i think i look better in the dark.” izuku mumbled quietly as he noticed your staring, he turned to look at you. his expression was shy and you felt your heart swoon.

you quietly chucked, “you always look good, izu.” you softly whispered as he became flustered. the boy curled up against you as he moved to rest his head on your chest.

tuffs of hair tickled your chin, causing you to giggle slightly as you played with his shirt. he wore a shirt that you gifted him at the start of the year, to celebrate him getting into U.A. with you.

“what happened to napping in your own room today?” you teased, not noticing your boyfriend moving his hand so it was closer to yours.

“i had a nightmare.”

your teasing smile dropped, you should’ve known. izuku’s been having terrors constantly after the first war. it was miracle when you and your classmates had even convinced him to come back to U.A. and rest.

“sorry, they just don’t happen when i’m with you.” he said quietly after noticing your silence, his words slightly muffled into your chest as you kissed his head.

“i’m glad they don’t.” you looked down, noticing his hand beside yours, he has been awkwardly fiddling with the sheets this whole time. he was scared to hold your hand. he didn’t want to hurt you.

you softly sighed, interlocking your fingers with his. you knew he felt safe when people held his hands. izuku began drifting into a slumber, the feeling of you holding his hand comforting him.

“i love you.”

you looked down at him, expecting him to reply only to see his eyes shut, mouth opened slightly as he slept. you felt your own eyes close as you basked in the feeling of holding your lover.

izuku midoriya is one of the strongest people on earth right now but when he’s with you, he’s just your izuku. just a kid who deserves a break from society and a well rested sleep.

OMG 😭 !!! this is so beautiful wth ?? the confused look that damian gives jon, jon literally saying "they've been my parent ever since" like yes !! the fact that jon already sees you as a parental figure the moment clark meets you is such a wonderful implication. you don't need to prove yourself to the kent family to be considered as part of theirs, and i think that's such an opposing symbolism towards the batfamily because after all the times you tried your best to be there for them, all the wasted efforts— just for everything to be nothing. but with the kent family, all you need to do is greet them with a smile then suddenly you're part of their lives forever and ever. and yes, there's times where clark refuses you to go outside but with jon's company, you wouldn't really find a way to complain, right?

y/n l/n didn't plan on leaving camp half-blood.

she didn't plan on leaving her siblings and close friends, and her boyfriend. well, now ex boyfriend.

that was too complicated for her to even understand. one moment luke wanted everything to do with her. he wanted to be around her 24/7, and show how much he appreciated her. but recently he got distant, and wouldn't explain why.

y/n hated confrontation, so she decided to just ditch camp all together after the couple officially split less than 24 hours ago. she doubted anyone would go looking for her.

oh how wrong she was.

annabeth chase and percy jackson were on a hunt for luke castellan.

they were given direct orders from chiron to find the child of hermes. neither of them dared to question the centaur, making them search for luke as quick as they could.

annabeth's shoudlers dropped in relief once they came across luke. he was practicing his sword work against a dummy made out of hay and old fabric.

"do you have any idea why chiron would send us looking for you?" annabeth was straight to the point. percy was standing beside her, just as determined to get answers.

luke shrugs, "is there another new camper?"

percy shakes his head, "he seemed pretty urgent about it. you might want to follow us back to the big house."

the trio walked in silence back through the woods and through the cabins until they got to the big house. chiron was waiting for them anxiously at the end of the steps.

"thank you percy, annabeth," chiron thanks them for finding luke. "i'm not sure if you three are aware, the camp may be in danger. thalia's tree has been poisened. we aren't sure how or why, but all we need is the solution. a healer."

chiron looked towards luke when he finished his statement.

"again, i'm not sure if you're aware that y/n of apollo cabin has been missing since late last night."

all three have different expressions of shock on their face. luke however is mostly hurt. he couldn't believe y/n would just run off like that. he wondered if it was from the argument they had.

"i'm sending you three to go find her, and bring her back safely in order for her to save the tree and the camp," chiron instructs.

"we don't even know where she went," luke points out.

"yeah, she could be anywhere in the world," percy adds.

annabeth looks between the two boys, "wasn't she saying how if she could get away for the weekend she'd go to greece?" she ends her observation while looking at luke.

the boy quickly nods, "yes. she always loved the idea of," he pauses and his voice gets quieter, "running away to greece together."

after a moment, chiron speaks again. "so it's settled. you three will go search for y/n, daughter of apollo, and bring her back to camp to heal thalia's tree and save the camp. good luck to you all."

"we've been in this boat for hours," percy groans.

annabeth stops steering the large boat as luke stops tying a rope. they both turn to him.

"we've been on the water for maybe twenty minutes seaweed brain," annabeth teases.

"wait," luke walks closer to the younger campers, "if your dad's poseidon, why can't you just push us all under water through like an air bubble?"

"it would look a little suspicious if three teenagers showed up to an island with no boat and dry clothes," annabeth mentions, making luke's idea sink to the bottom of the ocean.

luke speaks up again, "what if y/n doesn't come back to camp with us?"

annabeth and percy don't have an exact answer for luke. that only makes him worried this quest won't work out in their favor.

"we'll cross that bridge when we get there," annabeth responds. "right now we just have to get to greece."

after docking their own boat at the port of athens, the trio was quick to buy three tickets for the local ferry. annabeth grabbed a map as luke and percy were trying to figure out the best method for finding y/n.

they agreed to search all the islands as quick as humanly possible. they'd ask locals if they knew of a strong healer, and if any of them were given an answer that resembled the idea of y/n living there, they'd know to check that island.

after searching through three and a half different islands, getting on and off multiple ferries, and still with no luck of finding the apollo girl, the trio was debating on giving up. until annabeth looked at the map again. she mentioned to luke and percy about one more island where y/n might be. it was much smaller so they could search more thoroughly.

it was almost sunset once they reach the island, meaning they had maybe an hour or two to find y/n in the daylight.

the trio split up as soon as they stepped foot onto the dock. percy searched the perimeter near the edges of the water. annabeth searched through the bundles of shops and hotels. while luke searched through abandoned looking buildings.

as all hope was feeling lost, luke noticed a building of to the side of the commotion. there was a dirt path leading up to it, with no shops or houses surrounding it.

he could only hope and pray that y/n would be inside.

the inside of the building did not match its exterior. the outside looked as if it was going to fall apart at any gust of wind. however the inside was much more lively than luke expected it to be. there were people inside rushing to get past one another. it seemed as if they were all rushing to get to the same person.

luke pushed through the small crowd, and all the air left his lungs when he saw y/n. she was helping someone from the island, who seemed to have a deep cut on his leg. luke could finally guess this was the hospital on the island.

"y/n," luke spoke up, making the commotion in the room subside.

y/n and luke's eyes locked. neither of them were sure what to do.

y/n excuses herself and drags luke outside by his wrist.

"what on earth do you think you're doing here?"

"i had to come and find you," luke tried to explain but y/n only cut him off.

"so you just followed me? i seriously don't want to be around you luke. i thought running away from you and camp would've gotten that through your head."

"y/n i didn't chase after you to try and fix this," he gestures between the two of them, "there's a serious problem at camp."

y/n chuckles, "what? did peter fall off the climbing wall and scrape his elbow again? or did sophie run into a tree for the fifth time this week?"

"y/n this is serious," luke tries to tell her.

"you can't be serious. you dragged annabeth and percy with you?" y/n gestures to the pair walking towards them with urge in their steps.

"i didn't drag them here, please you have to come back to camp," luke tries again.

"is he telling the truth?" she asks percy.

he nods, "thalia's tree is in danger, and so is the camp."

"why didn't you start with that idiot," y/n hits luke's arm before running back inside. she was quick to grab her things. she kind of threw everything into one bag that she might need at camp. most of her healing equipment and a change of clothes.

the boat ride back to long island was awkward, to say the least. percy and annabeth were both asleep in the downstairs area of the boat, while luke and y/n were dealing with directing the boat back to camp.

luke was steering, while y/n was sitting beside him. an awkward silence filled the air.

"what made you go to greece?" luke asks, not expecting the girl to answer.

"i just needed to get away," she busies herself with her rings on her fingers.

"from me?"

"from all of it. i just needed a break."

silence falls upon the two again. y/n only moves over to lean her head against luke's shoulder, instantly catching him off gaurd.

"i'm sorry i left," y/n admits, her voice as quiet as a mouse.

"you had your reasons. it just caught us off gaurd, that's all."

another beat of silence passes.

"that night, of our argument, i found something out. about us," y/n turns to face luke. he does the same to her, not caring about steering the boat at this very moment.

"i don't even know how to tell you," y/n rubs her hands over her face. luke simply takes her shaking hands into his, and runs his thumbs over her knuckles.

"i'm pregnant."

luke's world stopped. maybe he thought he was just hearing things. the waves probably distorted y/n's words.

after luke still didn't respond, y/n started explaining herself.

"i was worried you wouldn't react too well to it. so i figured not telling you would be the easiest thing to do. and coming here, to greece, was the best bet."

y/n's heart broke as she watched luke stand. he silently put the steering wheel in it's locked position, before going down the stairs where the four twin beds were.

y/n knew she fucked up. she didn't know how to fix it. or if it could even be fixed.
