Do you ever think about giving Megatron relatives other than his sparklings? Like siblings or parents.

Because I read a fic, ages ago at this point, that had Galvatron be TFA Megatron's twin and well that turned into my new headcanon. Also, because the thought of the Tron twins being into mechs with two tall structures on their helm amused me because I shipped Megatron/Shockwave and Galvatron/Cyclonus.

I've actually thought about that a nice amount! I've ran plotlines that mention a brother which I think that one was inspired by that exact fic you're talking about (which is probably Battlesleep?) Aaaand I've thought about the idea of giving him a carrier just to have them arrive on earth and let chaos ensue (most of those plotlines involve him having a poor relationship with them)

I ran a ai dungeons story a couple years ago that had Megazark as his older brother, which I think I saw in a tfa fic somewhere else as well?

Terrible or wonderful

For the first we can all agree that the Transformers Armada ships are kinda wild and weird. When I joined to the Transformers Trumbler fandom I bumped into some interesting information but let's talk about this later.

So I find some ships what might be acceptable or maybe not. I'm gonna talk about why may people ship them and in my opinion is valid or not.

Before I start I wanna say this is my opinion and if you think something else about this then let me know in the comments. Please don't make hate comments!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: I watched the Japanes version so maybe some story line is different.

Megatron x Optimus prime

This ship is almost ruined but we have some interesting facts what can save this ship.

From the begining Optimus and Megatron acting weird with each others. They fight is really difficult from other's.

[It's could be because of the animations are not the perfect and the artist of the series was kinda lazy about drawning of the characters. We all saw some fails:)]

First fact: hands

They always touching each others hand in every fight. The robots never forget to do this. The problem is how they holding each other hands. Like a couple who start dancing romantically.

Second fact: look

Megatron teasing Optimus so badly. He's smirk whenever he see Optimus is kinda interesting.

In this scene Galvatron looks at Optimus so teasingly, AND THE POSE! There's something we don't know of them I swear. The last battle of them was the most weird fight.

Third fact: optimus death

We all know that sad scene where Optimus sacrificed his self for the Earth. Megatron on that days was super changeable. He looked like he would miss Optimus.

Megatron also said that "I can't believe I will say this but It's good to have you back" (I'm pretty sure he didn't said just like that, but that's what I get it from it.)

If I have to say something about they ship than I would say, this is cute. I love them. So in my opinion this is an 'alright ship'.

Starscream x Alexis

A ship what I hate so badly. It's cannot be real. Why would anybody ship a robot and a human together? I dunno.

When Starscream joined to the autobots Alexis was the first person who trust on him. She was friendly with him and tried to help him. Our broken hearted robot seemed he didn't care but he cared deeply.

After he left the Autobots for a revenge on Megatron. He dropped the blankie what he got from the kids for his birthday. Alexis was upset about it of course but she still believed that Starscream is good.

In the Space Starscream and Alexis became friends after Starscream saved her again and again.

Someone find a official blog where they said that in the show Alexis character seems like she is in love with Starscream. This information is important.

They just friends. The cutest duo ever. I just want them to be together again.

I don't support this ship.

Hotshot x Red alert

They had an episode where Hotshot doesn't acknowledged Red alert's work. They had a fight. But at the ending of the episode Hotshot realised Red alert's job also important.(Or something like that. I feel like I have to watch it again:') )

I don't know. I never thought about this two like a ship before.

Maybe It's a little bit strained. Some people just want to see a ship in them. I have no idea.

Cyclonus x Demolishor

They are best friends in the series. I ship them. I want them to be a couple.

Here we can see Demolishor saves Cyclonus from falling down.

Our evil psychopath Cyclonus and the soft Demolishor are the perfect matching. SHIP!

What I noticed about Demolishor:

After I rewatched the episode where we get a look of how Megatron treated Starscream. Later one of their teamate (I forgot his name) did a drama what caused to Starscream and Megaton had a fight. At the whole time I felt like Demolishor tried to stop this. It was so cute.

Back to the topic...

THEY ARE BOYFRIENDS!!

The cute fanarts made me ship them.

It's alright ship in my opinion.

Optimus x Red alert

Woo. So a medic and the leader of the Autobots. They story started on Cybertron where this two were already best friends and fought together in the war.

They have a perfect dinamic and they get along with each other really well.

I really don't know. I feel neutral about this. I wouldn't said this ship is unacceptable but I wouldn't said either that couldn't be a ship.

Jetfire x Starscream

There's an episode where this two visited together a planet for a mini-con (I guess). Starscream. I believe the reason is why people ship them is because maybe this two character had a good friendship with each others in the G1. I am just guessing I haven't watched the G1 yet but I saw some fanarts.

I don't know what to say about them.

Transformers Robot Husband Poll: MBTI Types

A few of you have seen me mention this special interest of mine, but the rest of you are new. Hello, and welcome. I’d like to talk about our Round Three* contenders in light of personality typology, specifically the MBTI theory based on Jungian typology.

(*Why 3 instead of 4? Because I’d planned to post this yesterday and already had those characters listed.)

Yes, I’m aware this is classified as a pseudoscience. Yes, I put a questionable amount of stock in it. Now you see why I’d get along with Drift so well. 😛 This post is for fun, so please don’t take it as seriously as I am unless you’re genuinely curious. The main goal of this post is to present some interesting observations related to the correlation between who are most desirable fictional husbands and their MBTI types. That’s it. A TL;DR is at the end for the Blurrs among you. Anyway, here we go:

While I’m sure most of you have at least heard of MBTI, you should know that it’s not just the four-letter dichotomies: I vs. E, T vs. F, etc. I won’t bore you with the details; I just want you to be aware that mainstream culture has watered down the theory to a four-letter code when there’s far more complexity beneath the surface. Cognitive functions, function axes, etc.

Without further ado, here are the contenders from Round Three (the versions I know best) and what I think each one’s most likely type is:

Bold text means I’m certain of my conclusion.

“What does all of it mean though?”

Well, it tells me that the fandom really loves their xNTPs and xSTJs. You may have no idea what that means on a detailed level, and that’s fine. The short version is that people either love down-to-earth guys who are dependable and know how to get stuff done or the funny guys who have a nerdy, creative, or rebellious streak. This is obvious just from looking at the results and tags, but it’s interesting to me that the overall trends can also be seen through the lens of MBTI.

Now, for the fun part: I’m expecting the semifinal contenders to be Cyclonus, Knockout, Soundwave, and Jazz. Their respective types are ISTJ, ESTP, ISTJ, and ESFP (or ENFP). Once again, opposing temperaments. (i.e. ISxJ vs. ESxP)

Furthermore, the projected finalists are Cyclonus and Soundwave—both of whom are ISTJs. The conclusion is that, despite the appeal of the xNxP guys, ISTJ characters are more likely than any other type to be seen as good husband material, which lines up perfectly with the general stereotypes associated with ISTJs.

TL;DR - The majority of the fandom agrees that ISTJ characters are peak (stereotypical) husband material, and a deeper look at the type would reveal that they are absolutely correct.

I am interested in Oilslick lore now

Ok this is gonna be one hell of a post because it's just gonna be one huge info splurge of cannon Oilslick stuff and stuff I and others have created for him (I LOVE BRAINWASHING PEOPLE INTO LOVING MY FAVOURITE CHARACTERS TEE HEE)

Ok so, Oilslick as we all know is a chemist that works with team chaar as their chemist (Ovi) he is the creator of Cosmic Rust and the reverse engineering virus which we see in one of the comics create the wrecker team. He also created Toxitron which is so cool. What I found most cool in in the allspark almanac we see that Oilslick had relations with a wrecker that was a white and blue version on blackout, basically. We can see that they were very close friends and possibly had a relationship?? From what Oilslick wrote about him. We also know that he was the first guy to knock Ratchet into next Thursday in the Issue #3 of the arrival comics before lockdown.

An old account that doesn't post anymore made a suggestion that Oilslick used to be a construction bot before he was a chemist, like way before the war and I thought that was quite a cool headcanon. I love his and Scalpels relationship, two crazy science guys doing crazy science together. I love that his Wiki says he has a "pretty face" which could suggest that Oilslick is quite attractive for a transformer (WHICH I AGREE WITH) So in terms of that we can take that Cybertronians do have a kind of beauty standard, what that is I don't know but I guess it could be like an interesting and unique body shape and sleek, interesting facial features and optic colours because Oilslick does have quite a special mold with his large nose and green optics (I'm using his toy design for reference here)

Speaking of his toy design, if you didn't know Oilslick was originally a toy exclusive character to begin with but the directors liked him so much they put him in the show. He was going to be introduced earlier into tfa like s2 and was originally going to be Prowls enemy but that role inevitably went to Lockdown. In the almanac it's said that Oilslick was originally also learning Circuit Sue and apparently trained with prowl but Cyclonus said he believed it was a lie due to Oilslick's deceptive nature. Which is crazy to say considering they are all Decepticons, what makes Oilslick so much more deceptive than everyone else 🤣🤣 he must have one slippery tongue.

Also I've seen alot of headcanons that he has his own little room on team Chaars ship just dedicated to all kinda of different plant species, cuz although he is best as chemistry he still loves the other respective Sciences. He'd probs call them his little plant babies and they would probably over run the whole ship at some point because he takes such good care of them they just start growing like wild (Queue Strika tripping over a ridiculously large vine or something).

There is so much more I wanna say but I don't wanna complete bombard you with a total geek out lmao because this post is already pretty hefty as it is 😭🤣

So, trivia! It's implied in the Complete Allspark Almanac that TFA Cyclonus is the future version of Skywarp (yes, really). He's apparently a time-traveler, and fanatically loyal to Galvatron.

Okay, so I have heard this one before! And I do think about it. But I think it would be more interesting if Cyclonus time travels to get away from Galvatron. Alternatively, he time travels with the intent to ensure Megatron becomes Galvatron but changes his mind once getting to the past. (I think it's also mentioned he loses his memories?) I also think it's interesting that they chose the scared, terrified Starscream clone to become the quiet brooding guy, instead of having it be one of the other clones. I kick the idea around in my head sometimes and I do want to use it eventually, I'm just not sure how.

Thylacine Robot Husband Slate

Astrotrain vs. Blaster Astrotrain. I will never marry someone who wants to kill Soundwave, and I like to travel in style.

Bluestreak vs. Skids Skids, because he would learn everything you need him to know about you.

Blurr vs. Misfire Misfire, because he's an incredibly sweet person, and he also won't come 3 times before you do and then pass out.

Brainstorm vs. Nightbeat Nightbeat, because I feel that he would try “telling you he’s interested in you” before resorting to building a time machine and trying to kill Megatron.

Breakdown vs. Ten Breakdown; they're both himbos but Breakdown is less insistent on getting his way and communicates better.

Bumblebee vs. Chromedome For my sanity I am going with Bumblebee, provided he is not the asshole Bumblebee from either Earthspark or TFA. I do not want to die horribly and then become Episode 5 of “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and also I don’t approve of mnemosurgery and Chromedome is also the guy who tried to lobotomise Soundwave at the Institute so fuck that guy.

Cosmos vs. Crankcase Crankcase. While he is not nearly as “nice” as Cosmos, he also knows what he likes and wants and does not retract his trust at the first sign of trouble.

Cyclonus vs. Dominus Ambus Cyclonus, because he can fall in love with people who are not his slaves. I also don’t trust anyone who can blend in with the DJD enough to work with them for years and years before getting caught. He wasn’t a medic like Nickel. He had to do that job.

Censere vs. Megatron Censere, because he is kind, and also because Megatron is still obsessed with  Orion Pax and would only be fun to marry if you could get both of them.

Depth Charge vs. Ultra Magnus Depth Charge knows what fun is and can even say the word without flinching.

Dinobot vs. Ratchet Ratchet, because he has an unerring moral compass and takes care of what he loves.

First Aid vs. Perceptor This is a difficult choice because I love science guys. In the end I chose Perceptor. I think First Aid would find me rather vanilla. If you’re more like Tex than me, though, Aid is your mech.

Fulcrum vs. Blitzwing The real question here is “how many husbands do you actually want?” I think polyandry could be fun, but not with the Three Faces of Blitzwing.

Hoist vs. Drag Strip Drag Strip. At least he's pretty.

Impactor vs. Mixmaster Mixmaster, because I’d rather have a husband who makes things, than a husband whose goal in life is to break things as impressively and thoroughly as possible, which is what Impactor does; also, he grew up in a mine with Megatron and he still joined the Autobots, wtf.

Knock Out vs. Powerglide Knock Out, because he moved to another planet to make his conjunx happy.

Meteorfire vs. Alpha Trion Meteorfire, because he knows how to have fun and can just say what he means.

Optimus Prime vs. Soundwave If you think there’s anyone I would choose over Soundwave you haven’t been reading this blog very long. If you think OP has a chance over Soundwave, you have clearly just now arrived here through tags or “recommended for you”.

Optimus Primal vs. Drift Drift, because he's so fucking beautiful, and even when he’s a wreck, he’s interesting.

Prowl vs. Swerve Swerve is sweet and will binge TV with me. Prowl thinks All Cops Are Bastards is an ideal to aspire to.

Rattrap vs. Starscream Starscream, because Starscream would be a difficult husband, but he’s an even more difficult boss, and you probably don’t want to deal with being married to someone who actually works for him.

Rewind vs. Hot Shot Hot Shot is entertaining. Also, if I disappear, I want my husband to hire the best detective in the universe, not watch snuff films obsessively to see if I am in them.

Rung vs. Predaking Predaking, because dragons are that fucking cool.

Rodimus Prime vs. Cheetor Rodimus, because Cheetor’s executive function is even worse than his, and I do not need any help making rash decisions, losing track of time and getting sidetracked.

Sky-Byte vs. Swindle I’m going with king shark here. Sky-Byte would write you poetry and pay for your dates. I feel like Swindle would be hot in a sleazy way and a great candidate for the fuck thing rather than the marry thing, but Sky-Byte would feed your ego and I would like that a lot.

Snarl vs. Shockwave Snarl. Unless you really want to be one of Shockwave’s experiments.

Spinister vs. Bulkhead A difficult choice. Bulkhead is stable and caring but Spinister is endlessly entertaining.

Star Saber vs. Smokescreen Smokescreen, because he doesn't have a vibranium rod up his aft.

Tailgate vs. Jazz Jazz, because he is smooth, chill, and sexy. Tailgate is cute but not sexy. He also makes dramatic painful decisions about relationships based on his terrible self-esteem without considering his partners’ likely wishes.

Tarantulas vs. Rhinox Tarantulas, and this is 100% the fault of @breakdownsbuttlights.

Thundercracker vs. Fortress Maximus Thundercracker writes fanfiction and screenplays and he dotes on his dog. What more do you want?  Meanwhile, Fort Max was the warden at Garrus-9 before Overlord took over, and even after seeing everything that had happened to Grimlock, he still wanted to throw him back in jail when he found him with the Scavengers. And he only wanted to capture the Scavengers just because he thought they were Decepticons and therefore had to have done something wrong, and he can’t keep from petting the beastformers no matter how many times they say not to.

Wheeljack vs. Thunderclash Wheeljack is full of fun and mad science. Thunderclash is full of himself and supported Getaway’s mutiny.

Whirl vs. Tracks Tracks, because Whirl is exciting, but not in a good way, and you’re not as tough as either Cyclonus or Tailgate. Tracks is also a pretty good dancer.

Ambulon vs. Dreadwing Beachcomber vs. Rampage Fireflight vs. Quickstrike Heatwave vs. Hardshell Metroplex vs. Sideswipe Seaspray vs. Runamuck Springer vs. Skyfire Wasp vs. Chase No opinion. Campaign to me for your choice.

Thinking about my one SG au where:

Ultra Magnus is/was in charge

Optimus is/was aiming to dethrone Ultra Magnus

Megatron is an exminer (but no gladiator era) who gained a following through his writings and his eventual connections through other notable decepticons

Optimus does eventually overthrow Ultra Magnus after obtaining the Matrix

Sentinel Magnus was the Magnus before Ultra Magnus, he's in a situation like bayverse Sentinel (should I Shatter him too or make him worse? I'm tempted to make him worse) and I feel like he'll be found in stasis somewhere in a trashed ship. I feel like it won't go well, I want to make him v similar to bayverse Sentinel tbh and have him betray both the autobots and decepticons

Cybertron gets pretty trashed, but it'll be rebuilt eventually— bit by hit

Cybertron sucked ass before the war, as you might've guessed

MEGATRONUS PRIME BEING FOUND LIKE BAYVERSE BUT HE'S 100% SHATTERED AND HE'S A GUIDING FORCE FOR A WHILE!!

I feel like the decepticon base on earth in this au is either under the ocean like in g1 (iicr?) or in the middle of the fucking desert somewhere.

Groundbridges are a thing, as are spacebridges but those are generally massive and in space

Outliers aren't a thing. No Skywarp teleporting, no Sunstorm radiation, no immortal spark Starscream, no telepath Soundwave, nothing.

The decepticons existed for a short while before the war

Just about everyone has their canon colors / a mix of their canon colors

Starscream was ex-military before getting into the decepticons and being thrown into the war

Shockwave was a minor and obscure scientist before the war, gradually gaining skill and rank throughout it

I'm torn on Soundwave because on one hand I liked showhost!Soundwave in SG IDW, but I liked how Megatron just kinda found him in IDW, buuut I also really like the idea of going with a TFP influence in his backstory and making him a former gladiator.

At some point or another Bumblebee has an arc of his own, not sure how but I just think there should be

I'm torn on how to introduce the human buddies into this and how they'd act but I definitely want Mikaela and Sam in on this (I'd love to see how they're characterized in a more series like setting rather than a movie one)

Elita is a major general and I vaguely feel like she deserves her person chair like she gets in IDW.

Actually Rodimus gets his Lost Light colors because I say so. He's either one of the wreckers or Optimus's eventual successor (or both?) (I'm not sure where to place Rodimus during the war, but I like his SG personality)

Torn on Deadlock never defecting or him becoming an autobot wrecker somehow. Because on one hand, angst. On the other hand, I like his Deadlock design and the idea of him staying moderately loyal to a SG Megatron makes sense in SG. Hgghhh but SG driftrod. I don't know, I like both options.

Ratchet is still terrifying like he is in SG IDW

Most of the designs are like if you drew the IDW designs in the TFA style, in my mind

Mnemosurgery is a thing because it's so horrifying I love it I hate it I love it

Galvatron =/= Megatron and he's such an example of "but what if [character] was good but also still himself". He's still got Cyclonus and Scourge at his side.

The sg dinobots are terrifying

Shockwave makes the Predacons (Predaking, Skylynx, Darksteel, possibly a few more?) and they're almost a reflection to the dinobots. Because Predaking v Grimlock would be so fucking cool.

Wheeljack is terrifying this time

Jazz and Prowl are evil husbands

There's not as many characters on earth as in g1, but there's certainly more than in say tfp or tfa (... How many mecha are on earth in g1 again?)

There are characters who are on other planets fighting the war

Nothing against the mech, but he’s too grumpy and abrasive. I’d be too worried about messing up to be comfortable around him. Like I’d love to earn his respect some day, but it would be very stressful.

I don’t know how Blades does it.

Rung 8/10

I’d be very comfortable being myself around him, and I think our relationship could handle any problems thrown our way. I’d also be confident he knew what he was getting himself into with me.

Two downsides. 1) I don’t like model spaceships, and outside that the mech seems to have no hobbies. 2) While I’d try to be there for him, I think he’d to easily fool me into thinking he was okay when he wasn’t.

I’d like to be his friend, but only if he could keep himself from trying to fix all my problems. There’s got to be give and take, and Rung is not very good at taking and it makes me very uncomfy when I can’t give.

Fort Max 7/10

I’ll admit anger issues scare me. But! If Rung was our relationship counselor and I knew Fort was making good progress, I think we could make it work. I would love to make it work. 

I’m honestly really conflicted about this one. Our journeys to having a more merciful and gray outlook on life are very similar. It’s not all about life being fair or just. But the anger issues… But he’s very protective of those he cares about. Ugh.

The guy has a spark of gold down there. (Plus he’d totally be down for me having a cat.)

Honestly, I’d have to pray about it. A lot. But I’d want it to work.

At the very least, we’d be good friends.

Cyclonus 5/10

I had not considered him before. At the very least, I think we’d have a deep respect for each other’s religious beliefs. For shipping purposes, it would be ideal if we shared those beliefs. But that would mean I’d have to exist in universe and already share his belief in Primus, because he is not changing.

Also, I do not think I could survive his tendency not to verbalize his emotions. I can’t read people very well. I need them to tell me what they are thinking or feeling honestly. They have to tell me often.

Like I would love to be his friend. I have deep respect for the guy, and our sense of honor is on par. But his “emotions are felt, not spoken” would be hell for me to navigate. That’s the reason the score is so low.

It’s me, not him.

TFA Optimus 10/10

I would marry him in a heartbeat. I would actively court him. 

We are very similar. Willing suckers, the two of us. Working on setting boundaries when it comes to helping others who get themselves into trouble. (Though I would have no tolerance for a Sentinel. I deal with a Bee though.) Eldest sibling vibes. Willing to learn and grow, but firm moral compass.
