I’VE BEEN SAYING THIS FR. honestly, i would get where critics are coming from with saying catra was forgiven too easily… if it had been any other show. i haven’t seen avatar (and i know everyone’s tired of these two being compared so often, usually for bad reasons unfortunately), but from what i gathered it made sense and was in-character for katara to not forgive zuko easily. (correct me if i’m wrong, though.)

however in the case of scorpia, and also additionally entrapta, they’re just easy-going people who genuinely wanted to be around catra knowing her potential to have a big heart, which doesn’t come out of nowhere considering she had protected them both from hordak on separate occasions multiple times. that doesn’t mean they didn’t deserve better friendships & connections than pre-S5 catra, especially by excusing it with “they didn’t know better existed yet”, it just means that it’s an authentic decision on their part to forgive her by virtue of her actively improving social interactions. other people may or may not disagree that her arc was rushed in the bigger picture, but regardless it wasn’t a thoughtless move on the writers’ part to make those two willing to accept her back into their lives again.

scorpia was aware that catra was a troubled, traumatized person, and truly wanted the best for her, and out of pure kindness and love & care for her friends, wanted to be there whenever her therapy might be needed. i’m glad her centered episode in season four portrayed the message that such benevolent souls don’t have to put up with poor treatment anymore just because healing needs to happen, but i really didn’t read it as “she’s all out of fucks to give and is done giving chances, so catra should be left to deal with her problems alone” (that’s simply not aligning with who she is at all) as much as “there is nothing she can do any longer and must move on to help others who will gladly receive it, but won’t entirely quit waiting on catra to be ready again in the future should that day ever arrive.” the difference in tone with those mindsets is significant and anyone who doesn’t see it is probably the one who actually doesn’t regard the struggles of someone who suffered abuse since childhood, then abandonment issues.

entrapta, on the other hand, is a bit less complicated, but still sticks to the theme of a brief response being appropriate without undermining the weight of actions being apologized for. it would sound crazy if you were familiar with beast island but not entrapta, yet unironically i believe she was perfectly okay with being sent there, if not for the potential fact that there was a lack of notice + time to prepare. i’m not sure if she read it like the punishment it was intended to be, but in any other circumstance she likely would have been happy to go and explore, whether she was aware of how dangerous it was presumed to be already even by non-visitors or not. that being said, she is quite intelligent and beyond inventor skills, seems to have cartoon-logical skills with avoiding a threat if she simple doesn’t acknowledge it and moves around almost in a dance to avoid attacks she’s none-the-wiser to. hell, she had no problem walking right up to horde prime’s clones and chatting them up. the point is, it wouldn’t have made any sense for her reaction to catra’s emotional apology to be nonchalant; is that related to her being autistic, as someone who also is? maybe, and perhaps it does cause a lack of understanding to the situation that she deserves to have. either way though, it just didn’t appear to pain her at all like it would to another character.

this doesn’t even get into adora and glimmer, so we’re still not done yet!

adora has known catra for both of their entire lives, and if scorpia tried to understand why catra acted out the way she did, then adora had an intimate-level recognition. it’s actually fascinating to think about how she finally cut catra off during an extreme event several episodes before scorpia did on just another random day, in a way. i appreciate that we did get to see adora stand up for herself and finally make that call once she’d had enough, because like i said, no one is obligated to dedicate their efforts to someone who won’t let them pay off, but it’s not difficult to piece together why it took so long despite the insistence upon refusal multiple times to co-operate and make things work — especially if you analyze their initial fallout correctly. it’s of my own opinion that, even if you somehow rooted for adora but not catra, the story would simply feel incomplete if adora had not chosen to immediately accept catra back into her life as soon as she chose the right path. it wasn’t blind-sighted either, as despite how much hope and excitement she had after glimmer’s rescue, we can still see for a brief moment on her face (look below) before being begged to stay on mara’s ship that she was willing to leave catra forever if stubbornness still prevailed… but that never proceeded, because catra finally, reluctantly, made the change she knew she had to.

glimmer does come across as the most wasted potential to me, but really only because of one small scene i feel like the show lacks, which is the infamous concept of a discussion + acknowledgement of angella’s sacrifice that never took place. if i had been able to write that part in, i would have wanted to see glimmer express anguish, but be able to live with it rather than either act out in revenge or forget about it as two extremes on polar opposite sides of the spectrum. with her, an honest & healing one-on-one talk could have moved her along the grieving process greatly. to me that works well because glimmer & catra are known to be foil characters in the narrative, and it’s said that they hated each other so much because of how many similarities they saw in one another. it wouldn’t be far-fetched to claim that she would understand why catra felt so emboldened to pull the lever in her current mental state once it had been explained to her what she didn’t witness go down in the crimson waste after huntara took her away, since she knows exactly what it’s like to later on make an impulsive decision out of desperation. (plus i don’t think she’d really get it at the time anyway, considering she was so unfamiliar with what the big deal was with shadow weaver back in the first season and obviously didn’t see the issue with being in good terms with her residing in the same castle that adora lived in first.)

scorpia never gaf about an apology ok

been wanting to point this out cause i still see a lotta hate on it - the traditional weepy apology from catra to scorpia would i guess be the normal way to go w things, but would only be done in a show where the creators dgaf about staying true to the characters.

scorpia was prob the most emotionally aware in the show, aside from her future wifey perfuma ofc, hence why they're so damn perfect together. the horde softie and the rebel sweetie- C'MON!

and w that empathy, she was always aware when catra was extra messed up and knew that it was cause. some. shit. went. down. and she was always tryna get it out of her, get catra to talk it out. the one time she really did ofc, catra ended up nearly suffocating cause that stupid lil imp overheard the whole confession about shadow weaver.

so nah, the likelihood of having any luck w that ever again - not looking so good after that.

but even when she leaves, she acknowledges to emily - there's nothing she can do for catra. noting that something needs to be done - stating quite clearly that she recognizes catra is not ok but forcing herself to accept she can't help her. cause she is purest friendship friend of all time ok ILY SCORPIA

and then being so distracted by shadow weaver's presence she initially spaces out on answering glimmer, who thinks she's ignoring her. seeing sw and basically having her curiosity about what was fcking w catra so much answered instantly. she realizes it immediately - and the looks on adora's face tell me that mf'er never even thought about it once. i get it though, it's not her fault cause def is a direct result of her own trauma, but adora slipped up bad on the effect sw being w her would have on catra and straight didn't even think of it for a full season, till scorpia said something.

even after officially repping the rebellion - she doesn't wanna see catra hurt. cause let's be real, all she's ever really wanted for catra - even through the gush crushin times - was for that bitch to let herself be happy. the moments she saw of it were so few, but you can tell that's why she lights up when she does get to see it. not cause she's gooey over thinkin catra likes her back - cause she's just so stoked to see her happy.

After being locked out on the night of a hunt, Catra wakes up.

Five years ago today, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power premiered on Netflix. I had seen a few preview articles about it, and liked what I saw. Those articles mostly focused on She-Ra’s, Adora’s, Glimmer’s, Bow’s, and Catra’s redesigns, and I thought they were fabulous. I loved Adora’s new red jacket and bouffant hair style. Glimmer’s entire redesign was inspired, and I loved that they made Bow black so we could have more diversity in the main cast.

It was She-Ra’s and Catra’s redesigns that caught my eyes the most, though. They made Catra an actual catgirl, and not just in the anime sense where she's just a cute girl with cat ears and maybe a cat tail. She was a full-on furry. It was a brilliant design choice. Honestly it’s no wonder that so many were instantly drawn to her.

And of course, She-Ra herself. I loved her new look, and her huge ass new Sword of Protection. In fact, I loved it so much that I drew this picture of her before the show even came out:

Then the show came out, and needless to say, I fell in love. And honestly, it changed my life.

I know, I know. That sounds very hyperbolic, and to an extent it is, but in a lot of ways, I’m absolutely serious.

Alright, I have to back up a little. Back when I was in college, and for a few years after, a couple of friends and I tried to make a webcomic called The Devil’s Gate. It was minorly successful but eventually floundered. Then I met some people and we tried to make a video game, which also failed. After those few years, I found myself on my own and trying to rework the concept of my webcomic. Making comics, creating stories, those have always been my dream, and I was desperately trying to figure out a story I could make work, something that I believed in. But it never truly got off the ground. By the end of 2015 I had given up on the comic, realizing that after working on it for years in different forms that I needed to step away from it.

I didn’t really know what to do after that. I was still doing my quick daily doodles, but I wasn’t writing, I wasn’t drawing anything of note. I felt emotionally and physically drained of my creativity. I was honestly getting to the point where I thought it might be time for me to give up on trying to be creative or making things all together.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power came out on November 13, 2018, but despite looking forward to it, I didn’t actually watch it when it came out. It wasn’t until that weekend that I decided to check it out.

I was instantly hooked. I binged through the entire season in two days, and did plenty of crying and cheering. And then rewatched it immediately. I was in love. I was obsessed. It had been a long time since anything grabbed me like SPOP did. I loved the characters. I loved the colorful, sci-fi-fairy tale world of Etheria. I loved how unapologetically feminine it was. And most of all, I loved how queer it was.

I hadn’t done a ton of shipping before SPOP. I’ve been down bad for harlivy for what feels like my whole life, and I was angry when Mika and HG didn’t get together in Warehouse 13, but more often than not I had just been conditioned not to look for queer things in mainstream culture, and even barely in subculture.

That is to say, when I was smashed in the face with Catradora I was surprised how much I glommed onto it immediately. I was absolutely taken with Adora and Catra and their relationship. Both characters were so relatable, and despite not quite being text (although the subtext was so loud and obvious it might as well have been text), it was impossible to not read their feelings for each other as romantic.

It wasn’t just Catradora, even if that was a lot of it. Spinnerella and Netossa being canon from the start was wonderful. How much Glimmer and Bow screamed “BISEXUAL DISASTERS” from the start was adorable. Scorpia’s crush on Catra was as cute as it was sad in its one-sidedness.

I had never really been in a fandom. That is, yeah I’ve liked things, loved things even, but I never found other people to talk about it at length, never found discords just for that thing, never read or wrote fanfic, barely ever drew fanart. 

But, I watched SPOP, and then I watched it again. And then I drew Catra. And then I drew Adora. And then I drew them again. And suddenly I was on AO3, a site I never frequented, reading Catradora fics. And then I had an AO3 account. That December I participated in Catradora Week 2018 (I’d never heard of this kind of thing) and drew two pictures for it and wrote my first fanfic.

By the end of February I had drawn more in the three months since the show had premiered than I had in the previous year. I was working furiously on a long, multi-chapter fanfic, and writing more words than I had in the previous couple of years combined.

I was inspired again.

In the 18 months that SPOP ran for, I drew more than I had in years, I wrote hundreds of thousands of words. I felt so rejuvenated and happy about my creativity and free for the first time in years.

It’s hard to put into words exactly how it felt. I was so close to giving up my art and writing, which honestly, would have been giving up a part of myself. An important part of myself. It’s not overstating that SPOP saved me, or at least my creative spirit.

I also learned about the wonders of being in a fandom and fandom things like fan weeks, big bangs, zines. And I made some wonderful friends that I cherish to this day.

Even as I inevitably moved onto other hyperfixations, my love for She-Ra hasn’t diminished. Plushie Catra and Adora sit next to me on my desk every day. Catradora art still hangs on my wall.

The inspiration that SPOP ignited in me hasn’t died either. It’s carried me through a tremendous level of creativity that I’ve been riding since the premiere. It let me create a ton of fan art for SPOP, and then RWBY and then the Witch From Mercury, and I’ve written a ton of fanfics for RWBY and Supergirl. And perhaps the best, that inspiration has helped me create more OC stuff in the last couple years than I had in a long time.

I owe She-Ra and The Princesses of Power so much. I am so happy that it exists and that it happened when it did. I’ll always cherish it.

And for real, Netflix, SPOP spin-off movies WHEN?!

What do you consider a rare ship in SPOP fandom. A real one not like a crack ship. Like I guess off the top of my own head Catra and Perfuma

I'll never stop gushing about the good ship Glimmer and Double Trouble. As much as she loves her life as high queen, Glimmer needs to woo her a scoundrel now and then.

Catra and Perfuma is surprisingly sweet. Much like Glimmer, Perfuma - or should I say Tara - has a thing for reformed (or not so reformed) Horde hotties. I could see her having a fling with Lonnie as well.

Adora and Mermista have some really good fics. A bit Spinnerella and Netossa-vibes.

They rarely get over the dating stage, but I do find Bow and Perfuma really sweet (and I see no reason not to bring Glimmer in to get a constructive resolution of their prom woes).

Speaking of, Glimmer and Perfuma are very cute together. And Glimmer and Mermista (especially when Glimmer is young and naive and look up immensely to the cool pirate princess) and Glimmer and Huntara is great fun in "spoiled brat tries to chat up the badest butch in the biker bar" way and... dangit, I'm just recapping Glimmer Dates Everyone again, aren't I?

For some non-Glimmer rarepairs (which is fine too, I guess) Wrong Hordak and Double Trouble are fun in the 'cupcake + scoundrel' kinda way. Perfuma and Mermista can be sweet if you build on their friction in the show. Entrapta, of course, can be shipped with any piece of sufficently advanced technology, ai or princess that needs 'auntie trapta' to show them the ropes.

I don't exaclty know if Shadow Weaver and Castaspella counts as a rarepair - the ship has a dedicated following. Shadow Weaver and Angella on the other hand definately counts, if you are into toxic yuri milfs. I also kinda like to write Castaspella with just the tiniest lingering crush on Angella, and just a tiny bit of resentment that her bro asked her out first. I have also written a fic with Angella and Hordak, that even if it is a horribly wrong politically arranged marriaged can be a foundation to build on.

Bow and Sea Hawk need to go on hot pirate adventures together, and more often than not I like to bring in Mermista. X marks the spot. For whatever reason I also like to give Kyle some high see adventures with hot pirates. Oh! And Double Trouble flirting with Sea Hawk in the Peekablue episode never gets old.

Scorpia is immensely shippable. I don't count her being with Catra and Perfuma as rarepairs, but there are some wonderfully sweet Scorpia and Entrapta (with Emily as a child). I see her with Adora and even Mermista, and of course some glitter cuddles with Glimmer (dangit, I promised to stop bringing in Glimmer).

This is more of crack fick territory, but Horde Prime is useful in a 'bath her and bring her to my chamber' kind of way, as long as the object of his affection gets to bust his fucking orb before the story is over. There is lots of really sweet and thoughtful clone shipping that deal with the concept of intimacy, the hive mind and learning what it means to be your own person.

Oh, and Octavia and Huntara should totally be bitter exes.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. the Spop show is really good at presenting attraction, and that gives us so many fun ships to play with.

Saw a fanart where Mk had a pig nose themed pacifier and I just yoinked that idea. The pig hoodie and the pacifier seems like something Tang would do for Pigsy (also to get away with free noodles cause who can say no to that face?~)

I know many people have issues with shipping with Nezha and such and I know the two had a rough history but y'know what fans do; they love to make the people who kill each other soulmates (platonic, romantic or otherwise) Even if it wasn't romantic, I still love the idea of them being buddies and just chilling, the danger noodle prince and the angy prince snuggle and watch a movie (mainly from Nezha 2019 but I also saw New Gods and can I just say, I want those two twinks to bicker then kiss awkwardly and I want Yun Xiang to BEAT. HIS. ASS) but in case anyone asks, I do perceive Nezha to be a consenting adult in general outside shipping drama and if the two are adults, it does make my heart squeal when I see these two hold hands and whatnot

HOW COULD I EVER FORGET MY SPICYBOIS, inspired by that one Ponyo kiss scene. I was actually gonna make a bigger piece but then I saw someone do it already in a much better fashion than I ever could and I just gave up on the idea but Ig here, its just like the two cakes mentality and I gave it a go. Have spider queen or scorpion queen ever interacted before? No. But they are both queens and I believe Spider Queen's confidence could rub off on Scorpion Queen and she'd appreciate the company of Spider Queen's children henchmen. Also she give yummy food so lesbian venomqueens for the win

Toxicinsanity is another rarepair that had like 1 sec screen time. I don't think they'd ever work out in canon and had virtually no chemistry. I still love all the fluffy ship content I can find of them though and if it ever were to happen. I think the mayor would scare the sh!t out of Syntax

Let's get at least one hetero couple here, Chang'e and Hou'Yi are a couple of favorites ngl, I took most of their outfits from Over the moon cause both of them looked stunning, Chang'e especially. I've seen people ship mah girl with other people and while I do agree it's healthy to move on, in my heart she will always long for Hou'Yi

Also irl, on valentines, my mum took us out for lunch, she treated us to bubble tea and donuts. We walked home so I waited to drink mah drink in my room while I drew and I accidentally finished it all... I'm so sorry mum

Rants from a tired writer: Tragic Backstories

Dear writers and readers/viewers (depends on medium), for the love of everything please PLEASE understand how to use tragic backstories for antagonists properly!!!

An antagonist's traumatic past is an EXPLANATION for their poor behaviour, not an excuse!! That kind of backstory is here to show that it's rare for someone to do bad things just for the sake of being bad; a lot of the time, antagonists have a reason for behaving antagonistically (or you could have someone like Emperor Belos who has a reason for behaving antagonistically but also does bad things just for the sake of being bad, which is awesome).

That's why sometimes it rubs me the wrong way when fans of a certain piece of media dislike an antagonist's redemption arc just because they felt like the show was throwing them a pity party. Of course, there are times where writers are guilty of doing that, and I'm criticizing them here as well. The antagonist's traumatic past is here to humanise them, to remind the audience and characters that in spite of it all, they're still a person. In cases where the antagonist is redeemable, this can make the audience and characters sympathise with or even relate to them.

A lot of people hate her but I don't care, I'm going to use her as an example anyway: Akito Sohma is one of those redeemable villains that gets humanised through her and Tohru's shared experience of being ostracised and abandoned.

No, you're not supposed to feel bad for Akito because she cried and said she felt lonely. You're supposed to feel bad for Akito because Tohru is the first person to treat her as a human being and not as a God, as well as validating her fear of being left behind by saying that she feels the same way. + You're supposed to feel bad for Akito because she is denied the right to be herself in every single way possible, including, but not limited to, her gender.

Akito getting redeemed does not take away all the pain and trauma that still affects the members of the zodiac that she hurt. In fact, not all of them forgive Akito, and that is okay. Akito herself states that she would have been fine not being forgiven at all, she just wanted to better herself. Her apology wasn't even done through words, but actions; she could not bring herself to say "I'm sorry" to all of her family because she didn't want them to think she was apologising just to make herself feel better or to gain their forgiveness. Anyway, I love Akito so much and I will write love letters to her in my analyses every time I have the opportunity to do so, you're welcome.

However, there are times where writers really do mess up and just want you to feel bad for their poor little moral scapegoat. I have not made a She-Ra critical post in so long, but who else fits the bill more than Catra? Her traumatic past does explain her resentment and violent tendencies towards Adora, but the show lost me the second they tried to make it into an excuse. Not only that, but making Adora "leaving" Catra a central point of the tension in their relationship when Catra was given multiple chances to leave just made me want to bash my head into the nearest wall.

The big problem with Catra is that she does not change, nor is she held accountable for her actions for longer than one episode. The only thing that did change is that she does not physically abuse Adora anymore, but the verbal and psychological abuse does remain. And lastly, the viewers and characters are considered objectively wrong for not trusting or liking her even though they have legitimate reasons not to. Of course, I'm not saying that the characters are not allowed to forgive her, but forgiveness is earned not owed, and Catra has done nothing to earn it, and it would have been nice for at least one character like Adora, Entrapta, Scorpia or anyone to have said "I'm glad that you're trying to become a better person, but I don't have to be there to witness that. I wish you the best but I don't want you in my life anymore."

Well, I have said my peace. I might start posting more writing takes on here while still talking about my favourite shows/books by using them as examples, let's see how it goes! I love writing so much so I'm very glad to be able to express that on my socials :)

Characters: Lee! Catra, Ler! Entrapta

Summary: Entrapta experiments with the ticklishness of different species of Etheria. Catra is her first subject.

“Fright Zone log, day fifteen. Or is it sixteen? No, no, definitely fifteen! I witnessed some peculiar behaviour this morning, I had just finished my latest project with Scorpia when I heard what sounded to be like a fight coming from the dorms. I ended up going through the vents to check out what was happening, but I realised I was wrong about it being a fight-kinda!”

“It was just Kyle and Lonnie tickling Rogelio, and while I do know what tickling is, I didn’t know that the more anthropomorphic species of Etheria were also ticklish! Rogelio was just one subject who I could already cross off, but I need to expand my data pool to see if they react any differently to how the rest of us would! I’ve determined that Catra would be a good starting point since she’s on the lower end of the animalistic spectrum here, only having ears and a tail with an otherwise entirely human body. I’ll document my results once this is over!”

Entrapta clicked down on her recorder, satisfied with her new experiment for today. As much as she loved making tech, working in the Fright Zone opened up the opportunity of experimenting on people as well, as opposed to her old home which was nearly entirely populated by robots. She thankfully hadn’t dissected anyone-yet, but she still lacked any social tact when it came to getting people to actual participate in her experiments. Entrapta was sure there would be no where she could go wrong with Catra though.

“Hey, Catra, are you ticklish?” Entrapta blabbered as she popped out of a vent in the control room Catra had found herself in. Catra shrieked, bearing her claws while her hair stood up and went rigid. Once she got over the initial shock and actually processed Entrapta’s words, she stared at her with a befuddled, slightly annoyed expression.

“What kinda question is that?” She hissed, attempting to turn away to ignore her. Entrapta remained persistent, dashing around to Catra’s front, popping up in front of her with an intrigued expression, like stars were shining in her eyes.

“Oh, you see, I’m running an experiment to test how the ticklishness of Etheria’s anthropomorphic species differ from its anthropological ones, and I thought you’d be a good candidate because-!” Entrapta’s babbling was cut off by Catra dismissively waving her hand.

“Look, I didn’t understand half the words you just said, but I’m not ticklish, so beat it. Go bother Scorpia with this or something.” She suggested, not to actually be helpful, she was just hoping Entrapta would take the bait and run along. She didn’t.

“No, no, Scorpia has to be tested much later, see I was going to say that you were the perfect starting point since you mostly human in appearance! And even if you aren’t ticklish, that can still be valuable data! I just need to run a few tests.” Entrapta moved a little closer to which Catra paused and raised her eyebrow.

“What do you mean tests?” Catra asked, feeling like she already knew the answer to that question.

“Oh you know, to verify your sensitivity!” One of Entrapta’s pigtails suddenly coiled itself around Catra’s wrist, holding it above her head. Before Catra could begin to protest, Entrapta dug her fingers into her armpit, wriggling around her fingers inquisitively. Catra made some shocked, offended noise before clasping her mouth shut, batting at Entrapta’s fingers with her free hand.

“Whahaht do you thihihnk your dohohohing?!” Catra exclaimed, to which Entrapta turned to her with a delighted, lost-in-her-own-world expression.

“Getting results, it appears you lied about your lack of sensitivity but that just makes this even more fun cause I get to find your ticklish spots myself!” Her other pigtail turned Catra’s free hand into a bound one, now holding both of them above her head while Entrapta stood in front of her, wiggling her fingers absentmindedly as she thought about where to strike next.

“Who cares if I lied?! This is just stupid, I have work to do you know-actual, important work!” Catra complained, eyeing Entrapta’s gloved finger with a mix of anticipation and repressed nervousness. Suddenly, she struck, choosing Catra’s sides as her next target, drumming and tapping her fingertips up and down her exposed torso.

“As do I, do can you stop squirming? I’m trying to get some invaluable data here and all of your wiggling could skew my results!” Entrapta warned her, not trying to tease but that didn’t stop Catra from blushing. Her feet kicked against the ground while she tugged at her bound wrists, shaking herself from side to side, doing just about anything to escape Entrapta’s hold.

“I cahahahahn’t hehehehehlp it if yohohohur tihihihckling me, you ihihidiot!!” Catra spat out at it, to which Entrapta made a little “oh” noise.

“Hah, right, I forgot about that! Guess that just means I’ll have to keep up with you!” Catra didn’t even have the time to think about what that could mean before Entrapta began randomly squeezing her hands against her sides, perusing up and down them, randomly switching to scratch at her ribs or give a quick squeeze to her hips and thighs.

“E-eheheHEHEntrapta, quihihiHIHIHIT IT NOHohohow!!” Catra barked at her, but Entrapta was way too lost in her research to even consider that. Her fingers bounced about across Catra’s skin, happily pinching and pattering against her test subject.

“Say, Catra, is the tickling worse when I’m switching across spots like I am now, or when I focus on one spot, as such?” Entrapta then darted her hands to Catra’s stomach, digging her nails into the patch of sensitive skin. Catra squealed and thruster backwards, shaking about like a bobble head left out in the wind.

“OHOHOHONE SPOHOHOT!!” She answered, mainly because it gave her something to focus on apart from her getting wrecked by Entrapta of all people; she was never going to live this one down. A frustrated blush spread across her cheeks, whining at just how bad the tickling was. “FUHUHUCK, EHENTRAPTA, SOHOHOMEONE’S GOHOHONNA HEAR MEHEHEH!!” Entrapta just gave a little gum in response, her fingers slowing to a halt surprisingly.

“Right, Hordak probably wouldn’t want me to ‘waste time with childish antics’.” Entrapta waved her hands around dramatically in a mocking fashion as she put on her best Hordak impression, something that earned a genuine giggle from Catra. Entrapta smiled tenderly at that, before perking up with determination once again.

“Just one more spot and then we’re done!” Entrapta declared, casually pulling off her gloves. Catra gulped, something about just being able to see Entrapta’s hands made this feel so much worse already. Carefully, she manoeuvred herself to be standing behind Catra, standing up on her tippy toes.

“Uh-what spot are you doing now?” Catra stammered out, trying to tilt her head back to keep her eyes on Entrapta.

“Oh, just your ears!” She chirped out with a smile, though Catra could feel her heart freezing over at that sentence.

“Hey, wait, wait, wahahait-!” Entrapta’s fingers began gently scratching at the back of Catra’s ears, making sure to be soft with the delicate things. Her ears twitched about between her fingers as Catra broke down into giggles, a little purring noise seeing out from her mouth underneath her giggles, like background radio static. Entrapta could feel her eyes getting more and more starry, while Catra’s face went red.

“Awwww, Catra, you never told me you were this adorable!” She cooed, not trying to tease her at all, but that didn’t help Catra one bit. Trying to keep up the appearance of a fierce war captain was difficult when just touching her ears melted her into a giggly, purring puddle.

“Shuhuhuhut uhuhup!! Just fihihinish this stupid tehehest already!!” Catra begged her and begrudgingly, Entrapta agreed. As adorable as this was, she’d tested out all the spots she’d needed to with Catra. Her hair loosened around Catra’s wrists, letting her drop to the ground as she panted for breath, trying to rub away her blush.

“If you insist! Thanks a ton Catra, I’ll go document all those results right now!” Entrapta blabbered out excitedly before turning to the door, only to be stopped by Catra’s tail coiling around her thigh. She hummed in recognition and turned back to Catra, still doubled over but she tilted her head up to stare at Entrapta.

“You know…I think we can make this test even better, Entrapta.” She grinned, to which the scientist in question tilted her head.

“Oh, I thought I’d tested an appropriate amount of spots, did you have anything else in mind?” She questioned, to which Catra nodded and stood up to her full height.

“Mhm, I mean, if your figuring out how ticklish people like me are, you may as well find out how good they are at tickling other people, right?” Entrapta tilted her head at the thought, squinting her eyes before she nodded.

“I suppose that makes sense, but what exactly are you proposing?” Catra’s eyes narrowed into a cool gaze as she bared her claws, locking onto Entrapta.

“Your smart. Figure it out.” Entrapta’s eyes widened as she already broke into nervous giggles, taking a small step back from Catra.

Alex's reluctance to kill and maim

When Kyra and Alex take down the guards, both Nile and Julia are perplexed why someone only incapacitated and not killed the guards

Throughout all of Malagosto training we repeatedly see Alex refusing to strike against his fellow students or taking the "kill" shot

He can't kill Jones, even though he has every reason to at this point. Even Kyra points it out to him

He can't kill Nile even though he has no reason to be nice to Nile. Nile has been nothing but cruel to Alex and is more then prepared to kill him

Friendship and teamwork

We see it with how Alex works with Kyra and Tom in Malta

Alex puts Tom first and questions why he doesn't pursue filming with his brother

Alex doesn't understand how the Malagosto students are supposed to work together when they're also expected to strike each other on command

He questions Yassen about his friendship with John and especially Yassen's repeated lesson on not having emotions. We see how Yassen realises that Alex is right at the end and chooses to save Alex yet again from Nile

Not surprising to see this in a show about espionage, but trust is present everywhere

Blunt and Jones have a conversation about trust and double agents at the beginning and it's Jones who convinces Blunt to trust Alex and actually tell him the truth. Jones achieved something that no one would have thought possible, get Alex to trust Blunt, if even a little bit

Alex trusting Jack and defending her to Yassen, even calling out Yassen should trust someone

Tom and Jack being worried over Alex and telling themselves and telling each other to trust Alex even when it seems he may have changed sides.

Alex throughout the season has to choose who to trust, to be disappointed by Scorpia and then finally realising he could have trusted Jones to have his back all along. However, them trusting Alex with the truth is what finally puts them all on even playing field and really makes them into a good team.

Alex also trusted that Yassen was telling him the truth about how to find Scorpia and knowing John, even though Kyra suggested he could have been lying.

John and Alex

John shoots past Yassen to kill the arms dealers leaving a cut and scar on Yassen's face. Alex takes that same shot to kill the power for the transmitter leaving a cut on Nile's face

Alex chooses to go back to take the final blow to Scorpia knowing the risks and understanding it might kill him, but hopefully saving many others. The same John agrees to fake his death on Albert Bridge, knowing there is a chance he might not survive but willing to rescue one more person along the way.

Both Alex and John go undercover for Scorpia. Although very different motivations

John, Alex and Yassen

I am so happy we got to see this relationship in the show. I don't care if this was just fan service, I just loved that we got more of Yassen and Alex together.

Even though just hinted in the show the mentoring between John and Yassen and then Yassen and Alex has always been at the heart of the Rider&Gregorovich relationship

Yassen clearly thinks he has to help Alex and when he finds out Scorpia played him just as much as they did Alex, he knows not to be upset with John and steps up one last time to save his friend's son

Rings/Parallels between the seasons

Yassen takes out the clone at the end of season 1 from a rooftop and then takes out Nile at the end of season 3 as he attempts to take a shot at Alex. The parallel is obvious, but while Yassen chooses to stay hidden in season 1 he shows himself to Alex in season 3. I choose to read this as Yassen showing Alex he understands the importance of friendship.

The department using Alex to Alex choosing to work with them. He even walks out of there with a positive relationship with most of them and a job opportunity. The trust is still new but it's there

Jones and Alex relationship throughout the seasons. She's the only one that saw Alex for who he is from the beginning and is the only one ready to challenge Blunt over Alex

I have been in enough fandoms to understand that some of the people who stick around the longest are those who act the most scarred after watching the media. It's like stockholme syndrome. Or it's like hating the thing is what gives them drive in the world.

I have also been on the other side of this. I remained a Homestuck blog for a whole four years after the ending made me depressed about Terezi Pyrope, even lasting an additional year and a half after the dogshit epilogues released, through to the demise of Hiveswap and Homestuck^2, before I realised enough was enough and let Adventure Time give me sanctuary again.

But Homestuck had its Gamzee fans who hated the comic and fandom, Adventure Time had its Lemongrab fans who hated the show and fandom, and it seems She-ra has its fair share of antis.

The She-ra antis consist of the following groups, from my observation:

Former fans who got obsessed with some other show and have to bash She-ra because it ain't cool anymore. Usually Owl House fans but can be from anywhere. Their hate is universally connected to propping something else up, and is never done in isolation.

Hordak fans who hate Catra and maybe every other character and crew member and the show. There are a lot of the reverse, Catra fans who hate Hordak, which is part of why this group is so persistent, as a "counter" to this Hordak hate. However, the Catra fans who are Hordak antis MOSTLY do not hate the show (they are just... out of touch with it and generally have bad takes). I've seen one or two extreme cases of Catra apologists accusing Adora, Scorpia, and even Entrapta of abuse, but they were completely alone in their feelings. The Hordak fans who hate Catra tend to also hate Glimmer, Mermista, Adora, Bow, and say that the show is ableist or whatever, but they do not actually harbor much love for Entrapta. Her victimisation is an excuse for their behaviour and they have no understanding of her chaotic character. Do not interact.

Glimmadora fans (the ones who purely seem to exist to make 'Spop Is Abusive' posts). Why the fuck Glimmadora fans hate the show so much, I do not understand. But these are probably the most In-Your-Face of these three groups. While the Hordak fans mentioned above have a lot of similarity to Homestuck Gamzee fans or Adventure Time Lemongrab fans in the weird way they'll hate on the show for doing their blorbo wrong, Glimmadora fans don't have that evidence because they don't really care about Glimmer or Adora. They have absolutely nothing to say about the show, other than that it is Bad. My theory on these Glimmadora fans is that they really liked the Glimmer and Adora ship on a superficial level, and then the show decided to have its Deeper Themes and give Catra and Adora a messy, complicated relationship. There was a lot happening after season 3 where people went "CATRADORA IS REALLY ABUSIVE AND CATRA IS HORRIBLE AND YOU SHOULDNT SHIP HER WITH ANYONE". This period was SO fucking harmful to the fandom that it never recovered, so much work was lost and deleted from AO3. People would say "Glimmadora is a much better ship anyway". But then when season 4 rolled around and, uhh, Glimmer was acting like a little shit all season (for good reason but she really fucked things up with Adora), and Glimmadora crumbled into ash? Well the Glimmadora truthists felt like the show was working against them and that Season 5 was a grand conspiracy to make the Abusive ship Catradora canon!!! The funniest part of this is I sympathise a lot with these feelings. I used to be a Glimmadora truther myself when I watched the show in fall 2021. I was like, "wow, look how nice this ship is. And they go with catradora in the end?? Fucking HOW???". But then seasons 4 and 5 happened and.... yeah, I was disappointed with how Glimmer and Adora's friendship ended up, but I was ENAMORED by the messiness of Catra's character and how raw her and Adora felt about each other even in spite of all the bullshit. I never made excuses about the show being abuse apologising. I analysed it purely in how believable the relationships were and what the intentions of the characters are.

Of these groups, the ones responsible for the most actual SPOP Anti blogs are undoubtedly the Glimmadoras. The only time I've seen something similar, so many antis appearing, was because of Steven Universe ship wars. You have NO IDEA how petty people feel about Lapidot, Amedot, all the dots, all the amethysts. A crew member was chased off the internet over it, or left the internet over the show's own decisions, depending on whether you believe the """screenshots""" that were taken of Zuke's ""private blog""".

My favourite wlw ship and spop otp of all time is Scorptra. I absolutely adore everything about it and I really think they should have been stayed in Crimson waste. Some years ago I had a huge fixation on it and tbh, if I've discovered Tumbler to myself at that time, my acc would definitely be full of them and I would call myself "stanscorptra", lol. And the fact that they didn't become canon for the sake of the ship I hate - catradora, makes it even worse to me. (Scorpia x Catra from She-ra and the princess of power)

Yumihisu. That's my favourite ship from aot, Im actually glad It's popular in the fandom. I really love everything about them and the way they ended up is actually heart-breaking. In the finale of s2 I actually wanted to start killing people just bc Ymir decided to help Rainer and Berth instead od staying with Historia. And every time I rewatch it, I feel the same, bc they did have a chance to be happy together at least for some years.

It's basically canon and it was confirmed that they both love each other, but since Ymir died, I'm not sure if it is considered as actually canon since they werent actual dating (Ymir x Historia from Attack on titan)

That was one of my first anime ships, I even thought It's canon and basically when I saw them together, I thought Nana is canon lesbian, which was so clear to me when I compare her with men and her with Michiru. Idk if they supposed to be "just friends", or wlw-coded, but I do consider them as a half canon anyways, bc, let's be real, if one of them was a guy, everyone would know It's canon. I absolutely love their dynamic and the way their relationship affected Nana and made her doubt her goal and actually understand that some of the people with talents are good people. Michiru changed everything for Nana and was her light in the dark, but ofc, how it always is, they didn't develop relationship and one of them died. (Nana x Michiru form Talentless Nana)

Mitsunoa. I am not obsessed with its depth, bc, ngl, they don't have such deep relationship as others, but I do love their dynamic and all of their interactions. Their homoerotic friendship and all the hints make me giggle and if we consider Mikayuu as "basically canon", than I will consider Mitsunoa as basically canon too (especially after the bath scene), bc these girls deserve the best things and they are the best things for each other. (Mitsuba and Shinoa from Seraph of the end)

Togachako. I still haven't finished the manga, so I'm not sure about what heppend with them in the end, I've only seen some spoilers. But I do love their enemies to lovers dynamic, which, unlike some other ships of this trope, isn't a romantization of abuse, but actual enemies to lovers. I doubt it has chances to actually become canon. But I still love the way their relationship was written. Uraraka is the only one who thinks Toga is cute and a pretty girl, not just a crazy monster. I absolutely love the line when she says Toga that she's the cutest girl in the whole world. I love that Toga says her feelings for Uraraka are real and that she made her happy. Toga sees her as basically a comfort person (??), someone who's love and appreciation she wants to get, someone who can save her from the hateness to herself and the world. I just want Toga to be happy with someone who can see her. Also, have you seen how mangaka draws them together?? He's either their biggest shipper, or a queerbaiter, Idk (Toga x Uraraka from My hero academy)

As for canon ships, there are fewer ones, but yeah, I do have favourite wlw ships that are canon:

Menokari. Their relationship is really beautiful, It's actually similar to Nanichiru, but is gayer. I found it thanks to Talentless Nana as well, and Im glad I did. It may be seems too cliche for some people, but I think It's adorable, dramatic and well-writen. Definitely my favourite wlw anime (Menou x Akari from The Executor and her way of living)

Ellieriley. Unfortunately there are not enought scenes with them, but those we have is enought for me to love them. Riley was Ellie's first love and probably her lesbian awaking. I love their dynamic so much and I want to see more of them and I wanted them to live a happy life. I do like Ellie x Dina too, but I love her relationship with Riley much more. Riley's death has broken my heart. But at least I'm glad that they did have a kiss scene before it, that's why I do consider it as canon, unlike Yumihisu, since a lot of people for some reason are still arguing over it (Ellie x Riley from The last of us)

Spinetossa. Even tho this ship is far not the main one, I love it much more than the main canon ones. Netossa cares about her wife so much. They know each other for so long and still love each other so much. They're so cute and so sweet, that I was worrying for their relationship during s5 the most. And It's funny how Chaggie fans use "they're together for a long time" to justify the fact that Vivziepop has written them so poorly and that they look more like just friends, just bc of that, since these two exist and they actually do look like a married couple, not like just friends (Spinerella x Netossa from She-ra)

Harlivy

I ship these two in every universe. Even tho the Harley Quinn show has flaws, I still love their dynamic, yeah, even despite it being "one of those I have brought up in that post", I still ship them and think they're cute. I love that Harley has fully recovered from her relationship with Joker and that Ivy has found her true love, someone she can spend the rest of her life with (Harley x Ivy from Harley Quinn show and DC comics/cartoons)

Korrasami

I never was one of those people who say Korrasami was rushed. Yeah, the creators couldnt fully show them in the show, but they did in the comics and I haven't seen anyone who has read them and said they're bad-written. The comics show them so well, It's amazing, healthy and one of the best wlw representations I've seen! (Korra x Asami from The legend of Korra)

Obviously, that's not all of them, but those I love the most. Some of other canon wlw couples I love are: Bubblegum x Marcelin from Adventure time, Apple x Darling from Every after high, Haruka x Michiru from Sailor moon, Utena x Anthy from Revolutionary girl Utena, Kirari x Sayaka from Kakegurui, Ruby x Sapphire form Steven Universe, Vi x Caitlyn from Arcane, Sara x Nyssa from Arrow and Jennifer x Needy form Jennifer's body (I know the last two are not animated, but I still wanna include them)

So, yeah, there are a lot of wlw canon and popular ships I dislike or critic, which isn't because I hate wlw, but bc I love it and want it to be written better and be more various, than just "sun x moon", since there are a lot of so different wlm and mlm dynamics, while for wlw It's almost always either the same, or is just problematic, like Catradora. Tbh, as far as I remember, the only wlw ships I wrote bad things about were Lumity and Catradora, besides that post, so I don't know why exactly you thought it means I dislike all or most of the wlw ships, but I don't anyways

this is unrelated to your point but since you brought it up, honestly? i kind of have to agree that catra is technically a hypocrite about boundaries related to touch. i don't necessarily think that's a bad thing though, as long as the people she jumps all over are okay with it too, and adora certainly seems to be unless it's by surprise, so they have the situation agreed-upon. it's entirely her valid choice to be comfortable with adora caressing her and standing by her side at a very small distance but not with scorpia hovering right in her face enthusiastically all the time.

you also have to remember that catra grew up by adora's side and was happy to rely on her for support ─ up until adora left and catra realized how much progress she could make without believing she was standing in her way, of course ─ and apparently didn't even know scorpia existed until they were both force captains. also, catra is very demiromantic/sexual-coded, as elaborated upon already, and as someone who also identifies that way myself (green is a great color for my blog theme, as you can tell!), i can't help but relate heavily to the idea of being overwhelmed by someone we just met already pursuing us.

Okay so for my Shera Swap AU, I’m designing the characters in Hero Forge.

The first one I did was Bo, because I put their names on a wheel to decide the order.

Lovely darling Bo

I made him edgier and more Horde-themed.

I couldn’t really do it in Hero Forge but he has a Horde symbol instead of a Heart on his chest.

Don’t worry he’s still a sweetheart even when raised on the side of evil. Like Adora, he’s been raised within the Horde and believes they’re the good guys. (Basically the Horde found him before his Dads did. For convenience I’m assuming his fathers adopted him.) Since the Princess Alliance isn’t as bright and bubbly in this world (with some exceptions such as Scorpia and Sea Hawk) it’s easier for Bo to stay loyal to his friends even after Catra rebels. Catra is framed as a traitor, even by Adora, and Bo doesn’t really witness a lot of what actually plays out. He sort of plays a similar role to the Horde Trio, only he’ll be more active than they are since Adora likes to work with a team more than Catra had.

Bo works a lot with Entrapta (more on her later) in the tech lab. He’s basically her apprentice (and supervisor after Adora gets a higher ranking) and spends most of the orphan’s training time with her. When she gets captured by the Princess Alliance, Bo takes over as the Horde’s tech genius. He’ll probably have an arch where he realizes things aren’t right and play Scorpia’s role of going to the Princess Alliance.

Catra and Bo never got along because Catra and Glimmer turned everything into a competition. Since Bo was loyal to Glimmer, Catra often turned against him by association. I think Catra will have a character arc of working through her co-dependency issues and similar struggles, and part of that arc will involve reflecting on how she treated Bo. She’ll probably reflect about Glimmer too, but not as much since Glimmer started just as many fights as Catra did.

Bo is extremely confused on why Catra is Adora’s closest friend. He’s tried to be patient with her but to no avail. He hasn’t the slightest idea how Adora does it. Well… *had* done it. He’s probably the only one to comfort Adora rather than lecture her or act confused when she’s upset after Catra leaves.

Bo is also the voice of reason in the Best Friend Squad, and often Laudie, Kyle, and Rogelio have to help him talk sense into Adora and Glimmer.

Which reminds me, the Horde Trio will also be in this. They have a sort of awkward friendship with Bo and Glimmer, mostly because Glimmer is too hotheaded for their liking (and favoured by Hordac) and Bo is a huge pushover. Kyle sees Bo as a really close friend. Bo often forgets Kyle’s name and feels really bad for it.

Bo is terrified of Shadow Weaver and has nightmares of her. Glimmer and Catra both tease him for it.

Adora and Bo are both very protective of each other. Glimmer is protective of them too but often gets ahead of herself. Bo and Adora both see each other as their younger sibling. This often starts fights when they say the analogy out loud.

Due to never having birthday parties in the Horde, Bo had a gut feeling that something was missing. He invented the concept of celebrating special occasions by sneaking out at midnight to have a campfire and sing songs they heard from the soldiers. They stopped doing this as teenagers, though, since it became too dangerous and Catra often got the brunt of the punishment.

Anywho, that’s all I have about Bo for now. Next up will be Adora!

i know it's a joke post but when has bow and glimmer ever left adora out or made her the third wheel? all of three of them were always close, even though glimmer and bow were childhood friends, they still always included adora in everything.

not to mention, if catra ever felt left out in the horde, it's because she treated everyone like shit and refused to let anyone get close to her. scorpia and entrapta wasn't even that close. they were friends, sure, but 90% of the time, scorpia was trying to get close to catra while entrapta was preoccupied with tech.

idk it just really annoys me when stans act like either adora doesn't care about glimmer and bow, or they don't care about her, when that was the only realistic friendship in the entire series.

Goodness, this post annoyed me so much. Bow and Glimmer always did their best to include Adora and I'm sure they would still do that as a romantic couple. Like, the way they're such good friends to her sometimes makes me want to cry. Take when they went to Mystacor for instance, Bow and Glimmer were lying down at the beach with Adora and they reassured she would be okay. When Catra left Adora in s5, Glimmer and Bow were there to comfort Adora as well.

I personally never really bought into the Super Pal Trio. Scorpia and Entrapta enjoyed each other's company, but you're right, Entrapta was more focused on tech and she spent a lot more time with Hordak. Catra might have grown a little close to Scorpia later on, but then she was awful to her after the Portal.

I don't know why SPOP stans love distorting the characters. And although this was a joke post, I'm pretty sure plenty of fans actually genuinely believe that Bow and Glimmer are awful friends that don't truly care about Adora, and that Catra is left out because no one likes her, when it's not entirely true considering how much Scorpia did to get close to her. And Scorpia also gradually learned to respect Catra's space, too, but you'll see stans shitting on Scorpia and implying that she deserved to be treated like crap.

I feel like I should share that my latest project has been deciding what Taylor Swift albums SPOP characters are, and writing down what lyrics from each song best represent those characters. This is just a brief summation of my findings:

🦋Debut for Sea Hawk: I have a feeling that were it a genre in Etheria, Sea Hawk would quite enjoy country. He’s quite the dramatic and spends most of his time pining or causing chaos. Also he sets boats on fire a lot, and that feels fitting with the slight chaos energy of young Taylor. Best fitting songs are A Place In This World, Invisible, and I’m Only Me When I’m With You. I also included Paper Rings.

🫶Fearless for Perfuma: I gave this to Swift Wind for a while, then realized only like maybe five songs at most fit. Also, I like Perfuma a lot more. I feel like there’s a lot of confidence and bravery in Fearless, and that feels like it fits Perfuma and especially confidence she instilled in Scorpia. Most fitting songs are Fearless, Change, and Today Was A Fairytale. I also added the lakes.

☂️Speak Now for Glimmer: Obviously of course! She’s sparkly, dramatic, petulant and literally a princess! There’s a lot of love and care as well as a lot of fear and hurt within Speak Now. Aesthetically, lyrically, and sonically the album is so very Glimmer! Best fitting songs are Back to December, Innocent, Long Live, and Castles Crumbling. I also included Bejeweled.

🧣Red for Hordak: Okay, maybe a hot take. The opening track has the lyrics “you come around and the armor falls” and “you’re my Achilles heel” which to me couldn’t be more perfect! Also the obvious self worth issues and the fact that he’s pretty clearly in breakup mentality all of season 4. Best fitting songs are State of Grace, Treacherous, and The Last Time. I also added You Are In Love, The Great War, Guilty as Sin, loml, and I Hate It Here.

🗽1989 for Adora: Again has some pretty huge self worth issues. Also just have a feeling she’d be a synth pop girl! It’s also an album about finding worth in spending time with friends, back and forths, and features a rekindled love! Best fitting songs are I Wish You Would, Bad Blood, and Wonderland. I also included The Lucky One, Nothing New and Clara Bow. Also new addition to this post: I added Safe & Sound and Eyes Open. She’s the main character so she gets lots of extra songs.

📰reputation for Catra: Who else of course? There are a few playlists for characters made by one of the show creators, and Catras fittingly has Look What You Made Me Do on this playlist. Fits well too with both the villainous character Taylor plays throughout the album, but also with themes of finding love during her darkest times. Best fitting songs are I Did Something Bad, Look What You Made Me Do, and Dancing With Our Hands Tied. I also included Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me and imgonnagetyouback.

💘Lover for Bow: He quite literally wears a heart on his chest, and seems to really love everything that makes Lover! He really values those close to him, and while he’s anxious often he’s able to grow a lot as a person and work past it all. Best fitting songs are The Archer (of course), Death By A Thousand Cuts, and It’s Nice To Have A Friend. Also by reminder of it being in his official playlist, I included New Years Day. Long Live would also fit, but I feel it fits the entire best friend squad, so it can stay with Glimmer.

🪩folklore for Angella: This album was the hardest choice. Angella is clearly a very anxious woman with the weight of the entire world on her shoulders. She has so much to be angry and sad for. She’s also quite fairy like. Best fitting songs are my tears ricochet, this is me trying, and peace.

🌲evermore for Micah: I think most of all evermore is an album about mourning loss. Micah has both had to be mourned, and himself has lost so much. It also felt fitting given the fact that Micah is a sorcerer. Best fitting songs are gold rush, long story short, and evermore.

🕛Midnights for Entrapta: Could be a sort of hot take, but for me as an autistic and very anxious person, Midnights resonated with me a lot, so I feel it could resonate with her. Entrapta definitely seems to be quite a sleepless person. She’s also subject to a lot of completely unfair scrutiny by people in her life. Best fitting songs are Anti-Hero, Mastermind, and Hits Different. I also added I Can See You, Renegade, Down Bad, and But Daddy I Love Him (gonna have to read what I wrote for an explanation on that)

🖋️The Tortured Poets Department for Scorpia: I know it sounds crazy, I very much do, so hear me out. Scorpia is incredibly loyal and also a terminal people pleaser. In the end, that got her so very hurt when she finally reached the conclusion that someone she deeply cared for had not been a good friend to her. She in the end found people who loved her dearly, and helped her find the good in the world again. I don’t think at all that’s the overarching theme of TTPD as a whole, but a very good amount of song lyrics can be applied to Scorpia. Best fitting songs I found were My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys, So Long London, and Peter. I also included You’re Losing Me.

Any added songs are justified by the fact that I Can Do Whatever I Want Forever. Once I actually have these done I’ll probably post them and include links on this post. Some are done, but I’m still working on Debut, Fearless, Evermore, and TTPD. So far I’ve only sent these to some of my friends who enjoy my ramblings and writings on my special interests.

This is coming from a very painful place. A place that is bleeding and pleeding with all its will for this to be false. Or for them to change their minds, I don’t care.

I am so tired of feeling like this. So tired of never getting closure to the things I love, tired of never even getting to start watching certain shows because the lesbians die, or get cancer, or whataver.

Willow was the one good thing we had in such a long time, fantasy wise, and it hit me different than anything else. 

Now I’m crying thinking about how I���ll have to move on from it, how I’ll have to deal with:

- Never knowing how did Kit remove the cuirass, 

- Never getting to see Kit and Jade have small moments of tenderness,

- Never getting to see Kit and Jade call each other girlfriends,

- Never getting to know how Graydon would come back (cause I knew he would),

- Never getting to know what really happened to Madmartigan,

- Never getting to see Sorsha welcome her kids back, 

- Never getting to see Boorman back with Scorpia,

- Never getting to see more o Jade and the Bone Reavers,

- Never getting to see Kit and Elora interact more.

Among so many other things I’m honestly too tired and too sad to ever wrap my mind around. 

I would go as far as saying I wish I had never watched that show in the first place, cause then it wouldn’t hurt so much, but that wouldn’t be fair to the cast and crew and everyone who put so much of their souls into this, into bringing this wonderful queer story into the world.

I’m so thankful to have gotten to live this, but right now my heart is shattered into a million tiny pieces, and I just want to curl up in a ball and cry.

I hope people continue to write fics about them, specially in canon, so that we have something to hold on to, but I have been here long enough to know how fast we move on from story to story and I don’t really know if we will get that at all. 

I hope I don’t lose whatever few friends I made here, but that’s also a long shot. 

I’m sad. So very sad.
