Talking about OCs post!
Daniel and Daniel (the Dannys): Twins that work on the moon station overlooking The World, alongside Yuri. Both of them present as male, and look almost identical, but one of them Did transition from their assigned birth gender (no one knows which one). And that's a side thing. Their main thing is that they're Yuri's direct assistant/task errand boy and they only recieve one salary, because only one of them actually joined the station in the first place (the other's application was denied). Other than Yuri, few people realize there are actually two of them, and they both constantly get mistaken for the other. Due to loving mischief they both are completely fine with this 👍 and encourage the chaos surrounding them because the observation station gets boring. they've both been there for as long as Yuri and Xena have. Danny tends to be a part of shenanigans even if they didn't start it.
Gawain: (working name for now) The accounting director. He is in charge of the observation station's funding aqcuisition and researcher salaries, and hasn't been seen by those outside the accounting division for the few hundred years he's been on the station. But recently he's been trying to change that! To fit in, not only is Gawain studying really hard about basic human interactions, but has also changed his form to look (what he thinks) the most pleasing to the eye. So he has blonde hair, green eyes, and if you didn't listen closely you'd think he was a womanizer and a playboy. If you look closely, you'd notice that while he chats people up (and seems to truly enjoy doing so), he never makes a move on others and keeps his hands and limbs politely to himself.
Millennium (Mimi): Mimi's the hardest to succinctly describe because she's more of a major character while also being incredibly minor. She was meant to be the protagonist of her own story before I firmly decided on Era's, but I retooled her while also keeping some of her original setting. So! Mimi is a ghost, she was brutally murdered, and she is currently stuck in Data (the embodiment)'s personal home server. Mimi originally hailed from a ~2000s like period on Era's planet, enjoyed computers, and had hardly begun learning their version of Basic before her untimely death 😔 So, newly minted ghost lands herself in the universe's most detailed database ran by the embodiment of actual data, and this ghost learnt how to play with more advanced machinery and code in 10 days with little to no prior exposure. what do u do. She's slated to become Data's girlfriend. Eventually. She's got a super bright and playful personality to contrast with Data's serious one 🥺 and creates super neat code with concise comments and emoticons scattered within. also super keen on vengeance but it happens really easily for her
Side note/setting for Era and Millennium's world while I'm here:
Naming habits on era's planet tend to place importance on chronology and keep time meticulously, and its not uncommon for parents to choose names based on the day their child was born, especially if it coincides with a large change in dates.
So era, originally born december 31st, xx99, is born at the end of an Era. Millennium, born the next day on january 1st, x000, is the beginning of a new Millennium. (and someone *really* messed up on writing the fates for this batch of new souls)

Can you tell us more about your Sailor Earth OC? 👀
Oh my goodness thank you for asking!!! I'm going to be greedy and use this as an info dump, hope that’s okay anon! 🙏
For starters, I should mention that Sailor Earth is a redesign/alternate fandom recycle of my main oc Genevieve Marena. She was originally created in 2018 for the Fairy Tail fandom and started with the name Hoseki Ishi.
Gene's thing was always diamonds, gems and minerals. So when I became obsessed with- *ahem* I mean, Got into Sailor Moon, I could not resist the urge to draw her as Sailor Earth. I drew her within a month of reading and buying the first 2 volumes LOL.
This is the art from August 1st 2022
Tumblr media
Since then I fell utterly in love with Dream arc, Mamoru and any version of him, Elysion, the Golden Kingdom, Helios’ role as a guardian priest and literally anything related to the Earth as Naoko Takeuchi wrote of it.
I was also low-key upset about how 90s was treating Mamo and Usagi, so I ironically made her the senshi that defends the love of Serenity and Endymion and protects their happiness lol.
Tumblr media
Thinking about her more seriously as I am now deeply attached to Sailor Moon, I have a working summary of how I imagine her.
I explored her various designs for the series back in Summer 2023 (again after finishing the manga)
Tumblr media
More recently, I've been brainstorming how to more efficiently include her in the Sailor Moon story. I've been doing light research on Mythology, becoming more familiar with Astrology and crystals. I was honestly struggling quite a bit when it became clear that Earth is almost excluded from Astrology. That is, it's not treated in the same respect as Mercury or Neptune etc. are.
I also knew that I didn't want to make her a Princess, that would be like replacing Endymion as the heir to the planet. And I was not about to make her the child of NQ Serenity and King Endymion. So I thought I might make her somewhat like Chibi Moon. If there can be two Sailor Moon senshi, then I say, why not two Earth guardians? Then I noticed that Pink Moon is actually the term for April's full moon. So I thought I could do something with that to make my Sailor Earth stand out (since it is obviously a very unoriginal idea in the first place) but I have yet to find a similar thing for Earth.
Basically Earth is much less interesting than literally any other heavenly body to astronomers and astrologists so I'm working with very little lol.
Anyway, I decided she'd be an Elysion Priestess and that she was given the powers of a Sailor Senshi to protect the Earth and her prince. She goes to the surface and attends Rei’s school, T.A girls academy.
More recently, I was watching Eternal for like the 1 millionth time and it has always bugged me that the 2 Maenads look like they are from the Moon.
Tumblr media
They look more like Queen Serenity than someone from Earth.
Tumblr media
So, no offense to Takeuchi my girl, but imma change that. Because unfortunately I feel like things from Silver Millenium like the Twin bun hair on these two overlap too much with what should be unique to Earth. (But that is a blog for another day, so I digress) The two Maenads are now Gaia and Terra. Gaia becomes Sailor Earth and goes to the surface as Hoseki Jinsei and her Lavender Earth Crystal forms.
See these two? One of ‘em is Gaia.
Tumblr media
Also, since it is already shameless enough to make a Sailor Earth self insert, I'm inserting my late cat Flash and his name is Apollo because Moon kitties are from Mau therefore any planet can have one not just Moon senshi. But also cuz I miss the hell out of him and I can't look at Artemis without thinking about him.
As of right now, this is the general concept of my Sailor Earth:
Name: Gaia
Gender: female
Civilian Name: Hoseki Jinsei
Senshi name: Sailor Earth
Sailor Crystal: Lavender Earth Crystal
Family: Terra (sister?/mother?) Helios (brother)
Occupation: Elysion Priestess
Partner: Apollo (white kitty with heterochromia from Mau, Artemis' twin brother)
Again, thank you so much for giving me the chance to info dump :3

Chasing Memories Worldbuilding Part 1
SO! Let's get the mundane worldbuilding out of the way.
First up, Ninjago's age of majority. Chasing Memories is a much more realistic take on the show, and realistically the Ninja wouldn't be able to do half of the crap they do if they were legally minors the entire time. Regardless of how powerful Wu is he still has to obey the law.
Base age of majority, where people are considered a legal adult, is 16 human years, as is the age of consent. Minimum drinking age and minimum smoking age are 18. Now, I specify human years here because there are a handful of non-human characters in my AU that age at different rates than humans. So when I say "human years" I mean they have to be the biological equivalent of a 16-year-old human to be considered a legal adult.
Now, obviously this means the only legal adults out of the Ninja at first are Zane and Kai, as stated in a previous post stating their birthdates and ages. Which means the minors of the group (Cole, Jay, and Nya) are under their supervision when the other adults (Garmadon, Wu, and Misako) are not around.
Let me reiterate, ZANE AND KAI ARE THE ONES IN CHARGE OF THE NINJA, both in costume and out. They are the adults. They're basically the older siblings when the parents aren't home.
It kind of bugged me growing up that Zane wasn't the one in charge, it always seemed to switch between Kai, Cole, and later Lloyd (which honestly made the least sense; yeah he's the chosen one but he's like 8 why is he in charge of the older more experienced Ninja?) so this time I'm going with seniority rules as Zane is the oldest and also the first Ninja Wu recruited.
Next up, NO Ninjago is NOT a monarchy of any kind. That plot point made no sense to me no matter how much I rewatched season 8. Why was it never mentioned? I even based my entire freshman year debate essay on why it was a bad idea to just add that in without warning.
CM!Ninjago is a democracy, plain and simple. I took inspiration from the United States (my home country), Canada, and the UK with how its government works.
There's an elected president that sits for a 6-year term and they can only have 2 consecutive terms. The first president was elected back in the 4th century (shocker, a government system that lasts over a millenium and a half), and the current president during the time of CM Origins is a man named Terrence Wong, who was elected for his second term in 2006 AC.
The education system is kinda a combination of the American, British, and Japanese systems (that last one because I like how it's structured in anime), so we have kindergarten (starts age 4), primary school (ages 5-10), and secondary school (ages 11-16), with 2-year "high school" being optional.
Jay is a fourth-year secondary student at Southside Junior High in Ninjago City, but he does his schooling remotely as it was Edna's condition for him to train with Wu. It's actually summer break when Kai comes along as school ends June 25th and starts September 1st.
Cole's been homeschooled during his time in the circus (as he can't exactly enroll in normal school as a runaway) but since coming to the Monastery he studies alongside Jay (who gets copies of all his assignments to give Cole) and Nya (who also starts remote schooling with Jay, just under a different, closer school to the Monastery).
Kai only completed his mandatory schooling, then started working as a farmhand full time until Wu came along. Also, Kai has legal custody of Nya... aaaat least until the Skulkin show up, wreck house, and kidnap her, which leads the blame to fall on Kai as there's a probationary period on custody arrangements.
Kai only got custody of Nya on his 16th birthday, which was in July of 2009. Because Kai only filed to FOSTER Nya and not adopt her, they were given a probationary period of 15 months to basically make sure Kai didn't screw up. The Skulkin attack happened when there were 2 months left on the probationary period, so after Nya gets rescued she gets taken away AGAIN, this time by social services.
So what does out intrepid 19-year-old former guidance counsellor Zane do? He accidentally stumbles across Nya in town being bullied by some of the other girls in the group home she was placed in, rescues her, and has her take him to said group home where he files to take Nya in; turns out Glenn pulled some strings and got him a valid foster license for emergencies before he left Feren.

Today I learned...
...what Y2K is. I know. How is it possible that today is my first time hearing that term? Either I've heard it before and somehow filtered it out of my brain, or I genuinely heard it for the first time while watching a random video about a Korean mom learning how to style her Blasian kid's hair.
A lady in the video mentioned that the current hair trend was Y2K. So, of course, my brain went ??? and I just had to look into it... and this is what I found out:
Y2K is also called the Year 2000 problem, Y2K scare, Millenium Bug, Y2K glitch, Y2K error, etc., and although it refers to the year 2000, it technically spans the years of 1997-2005. (The letter K, which stands for kilo (a unit of 1000), is commonly used to represent the number 1,000. So, Y2K stands for Year 2000.)
I'll summarize what I learned so you don't have to go down the same rabbit hole I went down (no surprise there):
So there are two sides to Y2K: tech and culture.
The tech side is what gave Y2K its namesake. There apparently was this widespread fear that computers would misinterpret "00" as 1900 when calendar systems updated from 1999 to 2000, causing all sorts of chaos. Imagine bank systems crashing, planes malfunctioning—the works. Thankfully, that didn't happen, but it apparently had people on edge... hence, the Y2K scare.
Honestly, Y2K is really just what we typically think of when we think of "early 2000s fashion." Think of it as a blend of "The Matrix" and early Britney Spears. Metallics, futuristic elements, low-rise jeans, and bold colors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...and apparently, Y2K fashion is making a comeback. I don't know who to blame. Maybe the new Barbie movie?
People have mixed feelings regarding Y2K's cultural revival. There's concern that Y2K fashion will also bring back "skinny obsession" and rewind progress on body positivity. I won't go into a deep dive on the topic in this post (although I could do an entire analysis if asked). So for now, I'll leave it at that! 💫 __________
Some discussion questions to consider! What do you think about Y2K fashion? Regardless of cultural implications, do you like or dislike the aesthetic?
Does the resurgence of Y2K fashion carry with it any cultural or social baggage/implications?
How does the Y2K revival intersect with the body positivity movement? Should fashion trends be mindful of social issues like body positivity, or should they evolve independently? And, of course... Have you been influenced—knowingly or unknowingly—by the Y2K trend?

Still stumped about the dating in "Worst Witch" (1998):
So, with the original show, one would assume that it took place from 1998 to 2001. And, had the show gones with the last two years (according to the wiki, there's 5 years of being in Cackle's Academy: https://theworstwitch.fandom.com/wiki/Miss_Cackle%27s_Academy_for_Witches#cite_note-2 ), of Mildred's time, the show would've gone on until 2003.
However, there is "Weirdsister College" to consider. And...it brings up a lot of questions...
According to the wiki, Cackle's students age from 11-16 which makes me wonder as to when they start college. Would there be a gap year and they'll be admitted at 17 or would they still be 16 and go to college straight away? How does it work? Just how old are the first-years supposed to be?
For one, the show never states if the show is set in the future (would it have been too sci-fi for the show?). As a matter of fact, it looks exactly like the 2001-the time "Weirdsister" was set.
And then there's Professor Shakeshaft-an elderly wizard who's lived a long time thanks to the his own Elixir Of Life (you'd think he knew Nicolas Flamel?). In "Shaky Foundations", Shakeshaft is stated to have been in his twenties during 1452. Making his current age to be about 570 according to Mildred.
So: 2001-570=1431-1452= 21.
Yet...2003-570=1433-1452=19.
19 doesn't count as being in the twenties...does it?
Then there's the to the wiki:
It said that the elixir made him going for 537 years. Yet...1452+537=1989...
Not to mention, there's the "Millenium Bug" which brings up Cackle's 1,000th anniversary and with the episode being in 2000, it seemed to have involved the turn of the millenium.
There's also the pop-culture references at late 90's-early 2000's; the hair, the clothes, the music (as seen in episodes like "Cinderella In Boots").

I'm thinking Evenground is around 20-24. If I want this to take place sometime between now and up to 4 years ago, and it was in the hospital for Harvey either close to adulthood or as an adult, that's what makes sense to me.
Gale on the other hand, I'm thinking 17. Almost a legal adult, but not there yet. I could potentially drop to 16 if I wanted, but I'm not moving up to 18. Maybe the cusp of 18, I suppose? I could see some places to go from there.
Everyone else I'm uncertain on.
Unrelated to age, I've decided there were more than seven Millennium Prize Problems. If you're wondering why, its cause I need the team to be able to afford their gear and the funniest way to do that in my opinion is to have Apophenia have solved "one of the Millenium Problems;" and the best way I can think to do that is for there to be like 2 or 3 times as many. I dont want to specify and be like yeah this is my OC Apophenia she provided a proof for the Riemann hypothesis.
However
It would be very funny for her to be like "yeah theres a pattern to the primes. I can't see exactly what the pattern is, but there is a pattern."
Apophenia is my favorite can you tell
Ultimately her power is advanced pattern recognition. This shines best in cross-discipline technology because there's a greater basis to see where patterns do and do not hold. Her power rarely tells her what specifically a pattern is off the bat, but the utility isn't in being told off the bat.
The utility is being able to see whether or not she's looking in the right direction, and having the experience to work with that information. It means she usually doesn't even need the power to tell her, she'll figure it out before long.
It's also really helpful for trial and error :D turns out coding gets easier when you have a power telling you you're looking at the wrong variable(s) or line(s) of code to fix your bug, as those aren't part of the pattern you're looking at.

The abridged version is Deimos is infested and a dude went back in time. Meanwhile Ballas came back, Lotus is actually Natah or Margulis or Lotus. She's 3 in 1.
Ballas kills us but we get better, an adult version of us escapes a traumatised childs safe space realm after traumatising them, a homeless grineer set up camp in our front garden, Teshin was almost killed but now libes in a cave, Stalker Fucked and had a kid, and now we are waiting for the update where we go back in time to fight an infested boyband to prevent the millenium bug. There will also be optional sms dating sim elements with a group called the Hex who are protoframes
i havent played warframe in yrs what the hell is going on

#349: most computers store the time and date as the number of seconds since the 1st of january 1970. however, since they are stored as signed 32 digit binary numbers, it means that they will run out eventually. so at 14 past 3 in the morning on the 19th of january 2038, the time will become midnight on the first of january 1970. i mean pi oclock, im staying up for that.
what most people have just decided to do is double the size of that number to a 64 bit number. that means doomsday (millenium bug #3) will happen on the 4th of december 292277026569. which is a sunday. the moon will have also flown out of its orbit by then.

Hello! I read TPOFATGIF for the first time this week after binge reading your lore posts, and I have a lore question. I get that the home of the main case is a Japan/America amalgamation similar to that of Big Hero 6, but is there any lore reason as to why its like that? Were Japan and America separate places in this world and then fused later or has it always been like this?
I wrote them in a place that is both Japan and California at the same time because of the Animaniacs.
For some additional context, for me, my first exposure to Yugioh was the infamous 4Kids Dub on Kids!WB whch was... weird, to say the least.
YuGiOh was one of the first anime-anime they showed on that network, after Pokemon, and the first cartoon series I recall that had a specific airdate order- everything before then had been episodic in the sense that it didn't really matter what order the season's episodes were shown in- it didn't matter who Batman fought last week, this week he was on another case. Pokemon did reference previous episodes, but was so full of random filler and side-adventures that it didn't really matter when WB showed the first season out of order. One staruday Ash just had a Charmander now and we just rolled with that.
But Yugioh started off with "Previously On Yugioh" flashbacks that really only made sense if you'd seen the previous episode, and as calvinball as the games were, they did have like. A Turn Order that you had to follow consistently, and it was the first time my 5th-grade self had ever seen a show with a sesonal plot and I was BUCKWILD about it.
At the same time, this was still a very Transitional period for KidsWB, going from a lot of cartoons that were produced in-house to a lot of cartoons produced in independent studios or in Japan. One of the most famous In-House cartoons, that was still (barely) running in 2000 when YGO hit, was the cartoon that built the KidsWB Brand: Animaniacs. The Animaniacs, for those of you that were only born this millenium, were a trio of... creatures. The Warner Brothers, Yakko Warner and Wakko Warner, and their sister, Dot who would escape from the water tower where they were lcked up last week, to cause mayhem and make remarkably sharp and adult satirical jokes about current events, until they were caught and locked back up until next week. It was directed by steven speilberg and it was fucking wild.
But a peculiar precept of the Animaniacs universe was that they explicitly, in the canon of their show, lived in the water tower on the Real Life Warner Movie Studios Lot, in Real Life Burbank, CA. The backgrounds were frequently traced photographs of the IRL Studio and surrounding hollywood landmarks. In addition to the show, the Studio also made "Bumps" or micro-episdodes that were like, 30 seconds long, for when the commericals didn't quite fill out the whole half hour. In those, the Animaniacs made jokes like they were actors employed by the studio, playing the role of the Animaniacs, and would complain about the on-site parking or the latest contracts, a meta-joke that goes clean back to the Looney Tunes in the 1950's and probably farther. Bugs and Daffy were there too, threatening to go on strike, but the Animaniacs combined that meta joke with their canon of living on-site to like. Complain about traffic on specific roads in Brubank.
...and then when KidsWB started accepting cartoons from other studios, they KEPT doing those Meta Bumps. Batman and Daffy comisserated about the difficultly of keeping thier black suits black over a cup of coffee. Omi of Xaolin Showdown and Riccochet of Lucha Libre compared the relative amount of workman's comp they were owed for thier stunts behind one of the sets. When Yugioh joined the network, it's characters were also added to the bumps.
One particular bump stood out to me, and unfortunately I haven't ever found a recording of it, but characters were complaining about commute times to work. The Animaniacs kicked off with not understanding how everyone was late to shooting, Come on guys, we're PROFESSIONALS. Uncle from Jackie Chan Adventures told them off- they lived on site, he had to commute all the way from San Francisco's Chinatown! That's nothing, groans Batman, Do you have any idea how much he spends in Batfuel for the Batjet commuting in from Gotham. Chinatown? laughs Omi, try commuting from actual China! Yugi walks in and asks what's going on, and someone asks him how long it takes him to get to work.
"Oh, I just walk over after school." Yugi says, and there is a cut to the expanded scenery with Warner Brothers Studio on one side of the street, and Domino High School on the other side of the street. "It's a good thing school is so close." he adds. "I have to spend like four hours in special FX and makeup to get my hair to do this! If I had to commute, we'd never have time to shoot!"
... And that joke-within-a-joke Micro-universe, that takes place in twelve different cartoon shows and IRL Burbank California, just an hour south of where my grandparents lived, that peculiar metaverse where my childhood nostalgia lives, is the universe where TPOFATGIF takes place. It's in IRL late 90's/early 00's California, because I lived in California in the late 90's and early 00's and that's the context I first experienced YGO in. It's in the IRL parts of Tokyo that Takahashi-sensei put into his Magnum opus. It's in a universe that contain's both Gotham City and Uncle's Antiques. It's Big Hero Six's San Fransokyo, and Ace Attorney's Japanifornia.
But that wasn't actually the question you asked.
Please consider: Tea and Bakura were both born on "Leap Days"- days when the calendar can't be reliably measured, where day repeat or blend together. Mako's dad is lost in the South Pacific Triange, a mysterious place where you can sail east all day and end up west of where you started. Tristan's dad has a job that is basically being a supplier to D&D Adventuerers.
But as far as everyone knows, it's always been like this. Sometimes there are extra days, or wormholes, or monsters. Reality is just like that, as far as anyone can remember.
But.
Not everyone remembers, do they? Mahad knows his king by his face but not how he came to be the Dark Magician, just that he is. Neither Shadi knew where the Millenium Puzzle was until very recently, which seems a odd for the Guardian(s) of the Millenium items. The Spirit of the Ring has memories upon memories upon memories, but neither he nor Yami can even remember their names. in fact, nobody theoretically old enough to remember what happened 5,000 years ago actually remembers.
I wonder what that's all about? :)

Thanks for your question!
Ah, the humble hormagaunt. Let's see, where to start. I imagine that, living with Jeff, you've picked some of this up by osmosis but I'd best start at the beginning.
Imagine you're just chillin' out in the galaxy. You have a map of the galaxy showing the spiral, that central bar thing in the middle, Earth off to the left, and the top of your page is labelled North. There's a 'You Are Here' pin pointing to the south east corner. You are far from Earth, but you live in an area that benefits from the 80s power fantasy of "Being Economically and Socially Stable". It's a little place called Ultramar. Just a few planets, but it's quiet, peaceful, serene.
That is until you start getting disturbing messages from probes you've been sending out beyond the Eastern Fringe of the galaxy. Into that empty void where only darkness lies. But these probes, they've been picking up signals that show there is something else out there. Then, after a few seconds, these probes cut out communication and are never heard from again.
"Meh," you shrug. "Galaxy's a big place. Many mysteries that never get solved. Space beyond the galaxy is even bigger. Loads of unknowns. No biggie."
But, in time, frontier bases on the Easter Fringe start falling out of contact with you. They're not liking your socials and they've stopped posting altogether.
"Meh," you shrug. "Our internet runs on a complex system of interlinked psychic mutants that really shouldn't work at all. Everyone has trouble with their local mutant's connection at some point or the other. No biggie"
And then news reaches you of the backwater outpost of Tyran; population: 400 odd tech nerds and their accompanying soldiers and secretaries. It's gone. Reduced to a barren rock. Poor nerds.
"Meh," you shrug. "In the 41st millenium, there is only war. Shit happens. No biggie."
Then your internet goes out.
"Holy Fuck!" you scream. "This is the Worst Thing Ever! Big biggie indeed!!!!"
Because those psychic mutants on which your galactic internet is based? They've all gone super weird and are raving about how The Great Devourer is coming and everyone's going to get eaten. And you try logging on again and yep, the gurgly ringtone of your dialup sure does make you instinctively feel like a single, galaxy sized mind, vast and unsympathetic, is about to swallow your world up for lunch.
All the local edge-lord fringe groups; your libertarians and your tankies and your liberal democrats, they're all suddenly revealing themselves to have more arms than they'd previously been letting on. And suddenly you notice that they're all bald. I mean, intellectually, you knew lots of them had shaven heads or wore bad toupees, but now you realise they're all bald. And they're also blowing up local infrastructure, launching coups, hanging people in the street; all the sort of stuff they've been saying for years they wanted to do but never actually got round to.
To make everything worse, there's fuck tons of pollen in the air which is wreaking havoc with your allergies and all the plants are going bug-fuck batshit overgrowing all over the place.
And that's when the coconuts start falling out of the sky. Thousands of the things, burning up as they fall, crashing into the ground and cracking open and releasing the things inside them.
Imagine if H R Giger had been asked to design some cute, colourful creatures for a Saturday morning cartoon. They're cute, they're colourful, they're often chubby in a huggable kind of way. They're also phallic and yonic and covered in teeth and spikes.
And these things start eating everything. Well, everything organic. Plants, people, pets, everything gets torn apart and swallowed. There are big things that eat folks whole. There are smaller things that eat folks in chunks. There are worm things that make sure the crumbs of folk aren't missed.
The local edge-lords have found themselves loads of matching purple robes from the local Cloth World store and are chanting while they march into the gigantic shellfish that seem to be what these things use as space ships. It looks like they're happy about it. The oppressive, all encompassing psychic mind that has enveloped everyone and everything communicates without words straight into your skull that those people will willingly lower themselves into acid vats so that their biomass and genetic material can be collected and added to The Whole.
Because that's what's happening here. A hive mind of space locusts are stripping your planet for parts. All the creatures attacking you have been built from scratch from big biomass pools, specially designed to tear your pitiful life apart in a simple act of natural consumption. Space nature, red in tooth and claw.
"Ah," you think. "This must be what stripped Tyran bear. We should name these things after Tyran. Let's call them Tyranids."
Then you look down and say "Shit! Someone's pinched my denim trousers right off my legs!"
Then you get eaten by genestealers.
So, let's return to hormagaunts.
These happy little chappies are part of the swarm of things that eats organic matter so the biomass can be carried back to the shellships to make more things.
Each of these things has been designed by the hive mind to fulfil some role in the great consumption. People say the Tyranids evolve, but that's not true. They develop their organic technology based on new needs and biological input, but all of the Tyranid space bugs were designed and pulled from a living biological 3D printer.
And hormagaunts were designed to jump! That's their whole thing! So cute!
Or rather, leap, if we're being pedantic. It's like that "Lions can jump 30 feet" thing, or however far it was. They don't jump higher than giraffes. Tyranid air supremacy comes in other forms.
Though, I've just checked my 2nd ed codex. 3" high! that's not nothing! And the leap is 6" in length! that's added (in a single burst, not spread out) to the 12" charge OR RUN basic speed!! (That distinction is meaningless unless you played the game, I'd just forgotten that this bonus applied to run moves as well as charges. Maybe I'm remembering some later rules?) When most people can only move 4" normally with a charge/run of 8", moving 18" is pretty badass. Particularly when you can speed over 3" high obstacles without slowing.
I was going to get pictures to show the development of the models over time and illustrate how the models love to fall over, but this lore shizzle took longer than expected! I think I'll leave this here for now!
I wanna talk about warhammer 40k. Someone ask me a question for me to ramble worthless opinions about.

Yandere Hellsing x Reader HCs? Including Millennium
Integra:
She’s a very possessive yandere
With her money and power, she has the means to get her hands on you
She’s good at playing cool, you won’t catch on for a while
Sure you notice that she never sends you on missions and that she’s always having you work near her office, but that’s just her being a good friend
When she decides to approach you romantically, she’s very forward
Around you she’s a touch starved animal, unlike her usual put together appearance
If you deny her feelings or try to run, get ready because she’s not giving up that easily
She’ll pull whatever strings she has to in order to find you
She’ll spend thousands bribing people or tracking you
Once she knows where you are, she’ll send Alucard to collect you
When she has you she’s very loving
She’ll want to constantly be touching you in some way
Usually that means sitting beside her while she works at her desk
As long as you’re good, she’ll let you wander the entirety of the manor
Since you tried to run she’s added all sorts of security measures so you can’t get out
Act up though and she will chain you to the wall in her office
“Y/N, your behavior has been deplorable lately and needs correcting.
Don’t give me those sad eyes, this is all your fault.”
Walter:
He’s a sneaky yandere
Very observant, he’ll learn your patterns and preferences
At the start he’ll leave you gifts like your favorite food or pretty flowers
He uses it as an excuse to get closer to you
He’s always offering to do favors for you, secretly lowering your defenses around him
He’s not the type to take anything from you but he will take the time to appreciate them
If you let him clean your room he’ll likely pause to sniff some clothes
You notice how much he knows about you but you just think he’s very observant
You don’t realize it’s due to his obsession
He’s the type to take more precautions
If you deny his advances he’ll lock you up somewhere, probably his room
He’ll get chains and a cage if necessary
If you really act up, he’ll lock you in the basement
The way you cling to him in fear after spending all night in the dark is addictive
His wires are always nearby
If you try to run you’ll only get a few steps out the door before the wires wrap you up and pull you back
He does his best not to hurt you, but if you struggle too much, a few cuts are inevitable
Seras:
She’s a very clingy yandere
She’ll want you on every mission she goes on
When you have free time she’ll take you out into the area nearby for some quality time
If you ever push her away, she gets angry
She’ll pout like a child then force her way into whatever it is you’re doing
At the time, she’ll act like it’s just a coincidence and you might even believe her
You’re not getting rid of her so easily
She’s also a very sweet yandere
If she feels she’s hurt your feelings she’ll go out of her way to get you presents or treat you nicely
Until you say you forgive her, she won’t stop pampering you
No one else is allowed near you, not even Integra
She’ll make excuses and do whatever it takes to keep you to herself
She would never kidnap you or lock you up because she hates to see you sad, but her “loving” behavior will be a trap in itself
Don’t forget that despite how cute she is, she’s still a powerful monster that can and will do what it takes to keep you
If that means making you one of her familiars then so be it
Alucard:
He’s a terrifying yandere
He can control you and the people around you, holding you captive
You’re not a stupid person, you know how easily he could end your life, so you tend to let it all happen
On the plus side, he’s very passionate and often brings you gifts
He’s such a smooth talker you’ll end up forgetting the terrifying threats he’s made in the past
Anyone who flirts with you will mysteriously disappear
Anyone who hurts you will turn up days later torn to shreds in a ditch
He would never do anything to hurt you, but that doesn’t stop him from making threats
“I could tear you apart just like that man from last week. I would love to hear your moans of anguish, but I’d prefer moans of pleasure.”
When you act out he manhandles you
He’ll press you against a wall and bite your neck to remind you of your place
He enjoys when you become complicit, but he likes when you’re occasionally act out
It gives him an excuse to punish you, which he always loves
After that, you’ll think twice before disobeying him
Millenium:
Jan:
Bro this man is already wild
When he sets his sights on you it’s go time
He won’t let anyone else near you or get to know you, not even his brother
He’ll threaten people, meeting them after work for overstepping their boundaries
He’s very touchy, like he’s trying to leave his scent all over you
Out in public, he’ll hang on you, showing others that you’re already taken
He’ll growl at people that look at you too long when passing by
He flicks a lot of people off, all the time but more so when he’s around you
He’s paranoid and doesn’t like anyone else around you, even friends
Clearly he’s a fan of body modification so if he can convince you he’ll want to get some kind of matching piercing/tattoo
If you get it, he’ll pay special attention to it any time you cuddle, running his fingers over it countless times
He can be very intense so he might yell at you, but when he sees the hurt look in your eyes he backs off
In his own weird way, he loves you and doesn’t want to see you hurting
But if he has to hurt you to keep you then so be it
Luke:
He’s not as subtle as he thinks he is
He tries to play it cool, but if someone tries to touch you he will blatantly smack their hand away
Always has an excuse to be around you and if he doesn’t, he’ll find one
He’s not as touchy as Jan, but he does like to hold your hand
You’ll feel his pinky brush against you before his hand completely envelops yours
His grip tightens when he sees you looking at others
Your attention is something he so desperately craves
He gives you every moment of his time and he wants you to do the same
If you’re ever in danger he’s there before anyone else even knows
It helps that he was already watching you
Be ready to compensate him
At first he’s just worried about you, but then once he knows you’re alright, he’ll start making demands
“You owe me for coming to your rescue dear. Or would you like me to toss you back? Maybe then you’ll beg me in such a cute way.”
Rip:
She does not care what other people think
She’ll ruin relationships to get closer to you
She’ll endanger her own job if it keeps you two apart
Doing favors is how she gets closer to you
Anytime you need something she’s there and ready to go
She’d leave in the middle of a mission if she hears you need help
Anyone causing you problems will be slaughtered and presented to you as a gift
“See y/n, I took off their heads just for you.”
She can get very aggressive especially if she thinks you’re denying her advances
She won’t hurt you, beyond a little pinch or so, but she’ll make threats
She’s very sadistic and would be willing to lock you up
Having you as a pet is actually an attractive idea to her
She’ll take good care of you wherever you’re locked up, but she won’t allow many freedoms
“Look at my pretty pet. How lucky am I.”
The Captain:
He’s like a pet, always following you around
He’ll growl at people he doesn’t like around you
His arms are always around you, keeping you close
No one else is allowed to tend to you after missions
When he’s patching you up, he’ll run his hands along your arms and legs, lovingly caressing your limbs
He’ll use that as an excuse to stay around you
Popping in to “check on you” at all hours
You won’t even know he’s come in until he’s sitting on the edge of your bed
He’s the type the would sit there for a moment watching you breathe
If he can, he’ll try to get you to be his assistant
If he can convince the higher ups that he needs one, he’ll do whatever he can
Then he’ll be around you even when he works and will be able to protect you
No one on the battlefield will be able to even get close to you
He’ll ignore his own tasks to protect you
He’s extremely loyal and obsessive
The Doctor
Oh man it is terrifying when he has his eye on someone
He views it like just another experiment, wanting to test and push you
He’ll have you coming to him for “examinations” all the time
He’d likely put a bug on you
Suddenly he knows things you don’t remember telling him, but you can’t prove anything
People you like start disappearing, people you had no idea he knew about
If he suspects you’re starting to catch on and trying to get away, he’ll start drugging you
Then you’ll have to come to him if you’re going to get better
While he’s treating you, he’ll trick you mentally manipulating you to grow closer to him
You’re going to think so highly of him, forgetting all the red flags you’d seen before
He is absolutely a gas lighter but he’s damn good at it
Even if you have experience with this stuff you won’t pick up on it
It’s a game of cat and mouse with him
The Major
He is not subtle and does not care
Your needs or emotions don’t matter to him
If you don’t respond well to his advances he will make terrible threats
If that doesn’t work he’ll take it a step further, allowing the ghouls to get close to taking a bite out of you
Torture is the next step
He doesn’t care about your mood, he has to have you
“Y/N, why do you fight so hard when you know I’m just going to hurt you again?”
He’ll want to do most of it by hand, but if he needs to he will get the others involved
“Would you like me to make a spectacle out of you? I think the others would enjoy that.”
Behave and he won’t hurt you
If he gets mad enough he’ll remove your arms and legs
You’ll become his good little doll, always on display for him
Like a bird in a cage, you’re his favorite display item

No Future For Old Humans
This turned out pretty close to what I deduced last week. The woman who will save the world is grown-up Frankie and the weapon buried in the sand is Maeve. And Maeve did blow up that part of the desert and got buried there but not the 1920 version - only the expansion site. But it was probably silly to hope Caleb would be still alive. But on the plus side - Halores seem to have figured out fidelity for humans.
Still I wonder why Hale never excavated Maeve - both for her powers and just to be sure. On the other hand all who knew where Maeve was buried were dead - except Halores herself but she wouldn't tell. Just make new William and move on. How was she to know someone could go into Sublime and check?
But that makes me wonder how the Sublime simulation could know that. Simulation needs data - preferably real time to be most accurate - and that implies they can still receive information from the RL in there. I suppose someone has to monitor the conditions to make sure servers are safe.
So Bernard spent 30 000 years in the Sublime. He went in when during the whole Rehoboam destruction revolution. That was 7 years before Caleb and Maeve Park trip. The 23 years later future is on top of that so 30 years in RL x millenium.
I knew it take decades to iron out all the kinks in the plan and see all the possibilities. he bug was part of his path we saw in glimpses during last episode. This was him making sure he is still on the right track with the timeline that saves humanity - it means he is still on the right path. It was also to make sure this is where Maeve’s body is.
The wording was ambiguous but I don’t think all adults (and only the adults) who were resistant to Halores' control. From what Hale said it seems like it was just hard to fully and seamlessly convert them. We saw the bugs - like with the senator’s wife and even the cartel member being all off and Maya’s parents seem to have just gone stiff. There was probably a lot of broken adults. Maybe some ended up like that homeless guy - rejected for seeing the truth. Children on the other hand grew up with the harness on their brains and just nightmares sometimes hinting what was done to them. And sometimes, a few figure it out like Peter did but the built in narratives kill them. It’s 23 years later, the now adult infected are what’s left of humanity and let Hale run the world. No wonder everyone looks so young in Christina’s world.
But the outliers are still putting the spoke in the plans to control humanity. I think they are the same ones Rehoboam couldn’t predict. The ones who are able to resist Hale’s orders just like Caleb did. After all Frankie was a child when Hale infected the world (and so was her girlfriend) but she’s still free. I bet she inherited this resistance (resistance made of those resistant).
Halores tells Caleb she runs everything but she clearly knows there is resistance (sent those hosts to infiltrate) so her control isn't as absolute as she makes it. And I think that when she answers him about his family still being free and alive but not for long it was the truth about the present - they are still free (we know Frankie certainly is) and she thinks she’s about to capture/kill them (she doesn’t know about Bernard yet).
This is probably also why Hale went through all that trouble to try to figure out how to resurrect humans in host form. All Delos tries failed and she had to run 278 versions of Caleb before getting one to pass fidelity test. That’s a lot of effort just because some dead host (Dolores and Maeve) considered him interesting. I wouldn’t be surprised if she just wants to understand how outliers work. And maybe get to Frankie and resistance through him.
Hale is triumphant but she doesn’t realise things are slipping from her. Bernard came with the knowledge from the Sublime where you can simulate people - and hosts - with even greater precision due to all of the Delos data and he is working with the Resistance. Maeve is back with her powers and a grudge. And Christina is waking up - with a little help from some friends.
But I’m still wonder about that last one. Teddy is for sure himself not a lookalike as he makes way too much allusions to his and Dolores past in WestWorld park. And he's clearly checking how much Christina remembers. It almost made me wonder if that storyline is even further in the future when Sublime gets open again and he comes back from there to try to restore Dolores. Her own fidelity test.
