he likes physical affection a lot!! he does it almost unconsciously. kiss, touch—it's so natural for him when he's doing it to you. there will be something next to you that he needs, and he'll place his hand on your shoulder while he grabs what he was looking for. then, he'll smile at you and kiss you on the cheek before walking away. now, on the other hand—he treats your physical affection as if you're doing unspeakable things!! his face is sooo red—you swear that you should compare the color of his cheeks to the reddest pigment in the world. (the creators will need to make a new formula.) but, he loves it and will take everything you want to give him.

"...aether? hi, there." you giggle, aether having hugged you from behind with no warning. his face snuggled into your neck, feeling his breath on your skin.

"mm, hi." he kisses your shoulder, hugging you a bit tighter. "what's up?" he asks, looking up at you with a sweet smile plastered across his face.

"you tell me. i'm not the one latched onto their lover like a koala bear." you laugh, bringing him around yourself so that he's in front of you. intertwining his fingers with yours, you lean in and press a gentle kiss to his nose.

"mm—y/n..." he sighs, looking away while taking one of his hands from yours to cover his face. "you can't just do that." under his hand is also a hidden smirk.

"you're such a hypocrite. c'mere." you giggle, tugging him closer and wrapping your arms around him. you start placing multiple kisses across his face, before finally concluding on his lips, having it last a bit longer than the others.

𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐙𝐎𝐔

he's a cheeky one. will leave you wanting more after every single touch, and then simply leaves. he'll simply smirk at you and slip a few words, leaving you confused and unsatisfied. luckily, he's not so mean that he'd leave you completely hanging. will make up for it with lots of kisses. now, when you initiate physical affection, it's a different—just kidding, it's almost the same story. if it's completely out of nowhere, it only makes him even more confident. he'll tease you with a smug look on his features. will never deny your love, though. unless he's trying to make a point. or tease you. actually, there's a lot of times he'll deny your love. but, it'll all be playful, and always he's sure to pay you back.

"heizou, you're taking forever!! when are you gonna be done with your work?" you whine, draping yourself over one of the chairs in his office.

he hums, almost trying to make you more patient. it's really only a delay tactic. "hmm, i dunno." he laughs, that inerasable smirk of his on his face.

"ugh." at this point, you're completely upside-down in the chair. legs on the wall and head hanging down. when, you get the idea to coax him to leave early.

awkwardly gracefully falling out of the chair, you slip behind him, seeing his focused eyes almost squint. he hasn't seemed to notice you, somehow. so, you throw your arms around him from behind.

looking back in your direction, he chuckles and shakes his head. "aww, do you love me so much that you just can't bear to be away from me for two seconds?" he teases, kissing you softly, letting it linger—and then turning right back around towards his paperwork.

you had your eyes closed, and everything—and he just leaves you hanging?? literally. your jaw is hanging to the floor right now. not literally. well, sort of.

almost gliding around him, you melt into his lap, placing your arms on his shoulders while giving him the most pitiful look you can.

he simply smiles, but he knows what he's doing. so, you take matters into your own hands. cupping his cheeks gently, you kiss him—not letting his lips escape, this time.

you can feel him smile against you, the laugh that escapes him being muffled by your kiss. his hands fall to your waist, playing with your clothes.

"fine, you win. let's get out of here."

touching you is his favorite form of anything. love?? communication?? keeping warm?? sleeping?? he loves it all. he always finds some way to have his fingers on you—whether it's on your face or somewhere else, he finds so much peace in just holding you. he traces shapes all over you unconsciously—he could literally be asleep, and he'd be drawing stars and hearts on you. don't ask how. he almost collapses when you initiate touch—he loves you so much, and touching him reminds him that you love him just as much.

you're resting your head on kazuha's shoulder. the look on his face is almost comical—he's smiling widely with his eyes closed, leaning back as he strokes your shoulder.

"kazuha, you look high. are you okay?" you tease, giggling as he suddenly opens his eyes and looks over at you.

"of course i am, my love." he whispers, running his hand to your cheek and smiling softly. his legs are kicking softly as they hang over the edge of the crux.

you poke him on his nose a few times. he simply chuckles and wraps his arms around you closer, bringing you to lay your head on his lap.

he gently plays with your hair, almost giving you a head massage while doing so. you can feel your mind giving into the grasps of sleep. the soft rocking of the boat doesn't help keep you awake, either.

kazuha looks down at you, tucking your hair behind your ear before leaning over and pressing a kiss to your cheek.

"sweet dreams, y/n."

he's definitely the least touchy out of all of them. that doesn't mean he doesn't do it at all, though. he doesn't like being super close to anyone in public, but he'll occasionally hold your hand. but when you're alone, he's super sweet. he'll just lay in bed with you, his arms wrapped around you tightly. he'll hear your breaths, trying to get his in the same rhythm. he also loves to play with your hair. he'll do it for hours, if you'd let him. he'll definitely braid whatever he can. but, his fingers tend to be pretty cold—so when he touches you, don't be surprised if your body shivers for a second.

the moonlight was seeping through the windows, engulfing the room in a dim glow. you were sitting in scaramouche's lap, leaning your head against his chest. his fingers started out only resting on your back, but they eventually found their way to your head. again.

he simply twirled your hair around his long fingers, wrapping it around in a repetitive motion. it was almost like he was hypnotizing you.

one of his hands went to rest on the base of your neck, resulting in a harsh inhale from you.

"what—y/n? are you okay?" he asks, a bit of sleepiness mixed with annoyance showing through in his voice.

"your hands are freezing, scara. i thought we established this." you giggle, trying to get used to the temperature of his fingers.

"stop being a baby." he grins, running his hand around more of your skin in order to get a reaction from you.

squealing, you swat at his hands as you notice the smirk on his features. "stop having hands the temperature of a dead body!!" you retort back, laughing.

he chuckles, wrapping his arms around you and bringing you to lean against his chest.

"i'll put you into a coffin myself." he teases. "then we can be the temperatures of dead bodies together."

"you have an odd way of showing affection." you huff.

"okay. be like that." he rolls his eyes, earning a punch (affectionately) to the shoulder.

he... definitely needs some help getting used to it. whether it's giving or receiving, he's going to be nervous about it at first. he's probably teleported away the first few times you tried hugging him. not that he didn't like it—it's just so unexpected for him and he's worried about you being close to him. once you've gotten to know each other a lot better—and you're both basically inseparable, his hands are inseparable from you. constantly resting them on your shoulders. he likes when you hold his hand, he just thinks it's so comforting when you lightly trace his scars!! i would like to think that he cried one of the first times you did that but i'd only be fooling myself...

"xiao?" you ask, turning around to face him as you feel his arms around you. "hi." you smile, pressing a kiss to his jaw before turning back around and going back to making the almond tofu he loves so much.

"hi, y/n." he says softly. he watches over your shoulder as you cook, noticing every movement. his hands rest at your waist, his touch gentle—yet holding you tight.

smiling, you finish up the tofu and plate it. turning around, you finally pass your attention to xiao. cupping his face, you bring him into a short kiss. he wasn't expecting it, and lets out a noise of surprise.

you laugh, watching as xiao's face begins to heat up. "y—you... you're..." he grumbles, but gives up and stops speaking.

"aww, do i leave you speechless?" you tease.

"you're not funny." he says, raising an eyebrow.

"you pain me, xiao." sighing, you lean back in to kiss him. he accepts you this time. eventually, the smell of the finished almond tofu coaxes you apart.

"tofu first?"

"tofu first."

he smiles, and you both eat your almond tofu in comfortable silence.

constantly teases you with his touches. will come up behind you and place his hands on your waist and peek his head over your shoulder. he acts as if you're his personal cat tree—if he wasn't allergic to them. he'll completely drape himself over your lap, jump onto your back asking for a piggy-back ride, or spin you both around. it gets 100 times worse when he's drunk, which—as we know—is very often.

"oh, y/n!!" you hear a voice singing behind you. of course, you know exactly who it is. venti jumps from behind you, his arms squeezing you as he rests his head on your shoulder.

"hi, venti! what do you—" you take a second to inhale the smell of wine coming from his mouth. "have you been drinking again?"

"what—? my dearest, you know i would never—"

"venti." you warn, your voice firm.

"okay, maybe i did. just a little bit, though!!" he giggles, showing you how much he says he drank by nearing his thumb and index finger together. slowly putting them closer, and closer... but you still aren't convinced.

"you smell like you've been bathing in wine and grapes for years." you sigh, taking his hands from around you and intertwining your fingers with his. you turn around, looking him in the eyes as you raise your eyebrows.

"y/n, i'm naturally scented like that! i can't help if the wind feels that i just need to smell so nice." he laughs, leaning back as he spins on his heels, forcing you both to rotate like a carousel.

eventually, he jumps on you and you plummet to the ground together in a laughing heap. "whatever you say. and, by the way—i saw a few cats earlier!! they cuddled with me, and it was really fun."

Finally watched LSF's first Coachella performance.

Overall, they did pretty great. I think it was their first time performing in that kind of setting, and expectations were high. They kept up the energy throughout the whole performance and you could see they gave it their all. I congratulate them for that.

The setlist was good, the band was good, the outfits were good, the dancers were good, but the performance was pretty simplistic. There were no big dance breaks, props, or anything out of the ordinary.

They tried their best singing, but the biggest issue with their set was obviously the vocals. They sang Antifragile as if they'd already been performing for 4 hours. Vocally that was their worst song - maybe because it was their first, I felt like they tried too hard to go for that rock sound. It was really obvious they were shouting half their lines because they didn't have the vocal stamina or technique to sing properly, and also because it fit the cool girl rock aesthetics they were trying so hard to go for. There was so much shouting. Chaewon was the biggest culprit. I heard people say she was the best of the night, but Yunjin's singing was considerably better - more natural, less shouty. Kazuha has way too many lines for someone who is such a weak vocalist, and Sakura should get more because her voice is so mild and light that it's much better to hear her vocals than Eunchae's (who tbh sounds "tone deaf"). Sakura did pretty well. She tried to project her voice and shout a little, but her voice is so light and quiet that this technique actually worked in her favor. Sakura sounded confident and stable, and she only yelled sometimes - and in those times she actually sounded hype rather than like she was yelling. But since she has few lines and they're all easy, it's not fair to compare her to the other members. She looked really pretty too though! Her shiny, long blond hair complemented the dancing really well.

To me, Eunchae was the weakest - shouted a lot, her voice is really flat, and she always looks like a deer caught in the headlights... (she's young, I know, hopefully she will improve). Sakura did well, but she didn't exactly shine with so little lines and center parts - she stood out a lot all that considered. Kazuha's vocals weren't great, but she stood out positively to me. I liked her dancing and charisma, and she was probably my favorite performer. Yunjin sang relatively well, but she was also shouty - she has the most, and hardest, lines, so imo she held up pretty well, but her constant shouting of "Coachella, are you ready?" were so annoying. Overall, I can't say I love her stage presence. It's the same for Chaewon - so much yelling, too much forced interaction with the crowd.

LSF's entire performance was super staged. Every single yell, shout out to the audience, interaction between the members, moment of walking around the stage, was planned. None of it looked natural. They were going for cool and effortless, but they do not make anything look "easy". On the contrary, it always looks meticulously planned out and rehearsed.

Final comments: their new song doesn't sound amazing and I hate it when companies debut songs for the first time on stage - it's the worst possible way to listen to a song for the first time; their Perfect Night skit about drinking was so cringe. I skipped all the talking ments for two reasons: lack of time, and their lowkey cringeness (mostly Yunjin).

Anyway, I'd say overall they did pretty great, but maybe only in comparison to normal kpop performances.

- xiao does high jump and long jump, he is obviously the best at it. he’s very serious about training but also sometimes he overdoes it and gets hurt. he works thru the pain tho but like calm down. he’s always got some sort of injury but whatever he’s state champ

- kazuha does high jump, but he’s pretty well rounded tbh so he’s a decent sprinter and distance runner too

- jean does shotput look at her skill of course she does shotput. she’s so good at it too. but she’s also a really good mid-long distance runner. girls got the 800 in the bag

- sayu does sprints she is so fucking good at the 100m, 200m, and 400m and you’d never expect it from someone so tiny. um. i think she needs to use her tanuki ball tho and idk if that’s allowed in genshin track. maybe?? if she’s not in her ball she’s not very fast lol

- HOWEVER sayu also does discus. look at her charged attack spin. any claymore user that spins for their charged attack can throw a damn good discus throw.

- i’m so fucking sorry sucrose mains but i don’t think she can do anything. she’s a science nerd she was in the science club until someone convinced her to join the track team. she does the short sprints cause they’re over quickly but she is so bad at them. however, she will talk her teammates ears off about how adequate sleep, water, and food all play into your performance at a meet, and how metabolism and digestion and lactic acids work.

- bennett is on the track team too and he’s so enthusiastic about being there but god he is not that good 💔 and he trips a lot which fucks him up during races

- venti is their “coach” but he doesn’t rly coach all that much? he’s good at jumps tho. and like he knows his shit he just slacks off about it lol

OKAY time for a college au!!

You 3 know each other from before college

You and kazuha were seating next to each other during your first year of high school you became close enough to greet each other whenever you guys pass by each other

And you and Xiao were best friends from kindergarten to 2 grade but unfortunately you had to move suddenly you two tried to keep contact but the two of you made new friends and kinda lost contact with each other

So when you go to college you meet kazuha at the front desk when you're trying to get your schedule and yall are like "omg I'm so happy to see someone that I know here!" and when you guys check your schedules it turns out that the two of you have the same class during the first period

And you're like "we've got 30 minutes wanna go grab a cup of coffee and get lost together?" and kazu knows that you playfully flirt with your friends so he jokingly says "are you asking me out for a date? Because if you are then I accept!" and you guys talk on the way to class and the two of you barely make it on time

Class ends and you're sad to say goodbye to the only person you know on campus but then all of a sudden he hits you with a "by the way can I have your number?" so you two exchange numbers

Later you're going to your last class and it turns out that this class doesn't have many people you go sit in the back and someone comes up to you and is like "can I sit next to you? " you say yes obviously

But the thing is... there is something very familiar about this guy and you just can't put your finger on it so you kind of stare at him without realizing it

Of course he noticed how hard you've been staring at him and turns around and is like "what? Is there something on my face?" that's when it finally clicks

But the moment class ends you tell him who you are and take a few minutes to catch up

Though I say catch up it was mostly you teasing him saying shit like "I can't believe the shy kid who used to tear up whenever his turn on the swing was taken would grow up to be this handsome!" (he's starting to think that maybe he should have sat somewhere else)

So you're like "hey how we go actually catch up I've got some coupons for this café I went to this morning with a friend"

Considering it's the first semester of college, you haven't yet decided on your major. Luckily, you have quite a few general education classes to take, so you register all in one night.

You'll have the time to figure it all out as time goes by, no?

The rest of summer is spent juggling moving into the campus' dorms, working, and keeping up with some friends from high school. While you've kept contact with a few friends, you definitely kicked yourself in the ass for forgetting to ask Kazuha for his number...how could you forget one of your best friends?

But, you suppose that he's far off in a whole other city with his wish to experience more. You can't help but wonder what he's up to.

Then, the first day of classes starts.

How did you not figure out where everything is first? Instead of moping, you trudge to the administrative building early to ask for directions and, even better, a map of the large campus.

Instead, you find a familiar head of cream-colored hair.

Immediately, you gasp and he turns around in confusion, only for a soft smile to spread over his features. It's only been a summer but it's a relief to see that you know another person. Comparing schedules, he points out that you both have Communications 1301 together.

For once, you're glad you have to take these mandatory courses...

But with an abundance of time (as Kazuha just so happens to know where the class is), he accepts your jokingly firtatious proposal to head to the cafe just across campus to grab a morning drink.

It's hardly been long since you've last spoken to him, but there's still so much to talk about! It turns out he opted to rent out a small studio apartment just a few blocks away from campus! Naturally, he invites you over sometime.

He's also admitted that he decided to major in English--something you're not surprised to hear. After all, Kazuha's a natural at the subject, exceeding the assignments and always so eloquent.

If you recall correctly, he used to tote around a little notebook full of little musings and poetry during high school. You wonder if he still does that.

You talk about how you've just moved into the dorms a week ago, how you're lucky to be rooming with two musically inclined (if not a bit rowdy) people. You're sure that he'd take a liking to them once everything is calmed down a bit. Kazuha just raises a brow in half-doubt.

Before you know it, it's been an hours and, to your horror, your first class starts in five minutes. Not to mention that it was back closer to the admin building and you were on the opposite side of campus.

But it's still fun, Kazuha laughing as you jolt up and tug him to stand, the two of you running to get to class on time. With heaving breaths and flushed faces, you make it just a few minutes late. Luckily, your professor didn't mind because it was the first day...

Following class, you have to make your way to Bio 1301, Kazuha having a major-specific English course to get to. Before you can speak, though, he offers his phone to you. It's newer than his old flip phone you'd tease him about all the time, the screen clean save for a few stray fingerprints.

After you put in your number, he beams and quickly sends you a call so you can have his too.

"Call me after you're done with classes, alright?"

You promise to and the two of you set off.

Biology proves to be uneventful, a full hour and a half of the (rather attractive) professor going over what to expect as well as passing out lab waiver forms. A necessary precaution, he said with a reserved sigh. You wonder what happened.

When the hour ends, you have some time before World History, followed by a Trigonometry course.

By the time you find your trig class, most of the seats are already taken, making that feeling of dread fill the pit of your stomach. Nothing is worse than being forced to take whatever seat is left. But, noticing a seat by the windows, it's not so bad.

You're in the back, though, settling your bag beneath your chair and picking out a pen and schedule book.

At some point, someone walks in and asks if the seat in front of you is taken. You don't bother to look up long as you fish out a notebook, letting him know it's free.

As class goes on, you realize that the guy in front of you most likely hasn't been paying attention. Considering that the professor has been rehashing stuff from Algebra...you're not surprised. But something about his dark hair catches your eye. Not to mention his striking gold eyes...hm.

It's not until you catch his profile as he stares out the window that it clicks.

"Xiao."

His eyes dart to look at you, a confused look washing over his face. You repeat his name.

"Yes?"

Part of him is just about ready to leave as recognition floods your expression, smile wide. How could you possibly---

"I can't believe the shy kid who used to tear up whenever his turn on the swing was taken would grow up to be this handsome!"

The tips of his ears turn red fast, something that you remember very well about him, and his gaze quickly flicks over to the professor still dragging on. When gold settles back on you, they're practically begging for you to lower your voice.

"It's been forever--I can't believe that you-"

Time seems to drag on while you buzz in your seat, excited to see your childhood friend after loosing contact. You've missed him over the years, always wondering what happened to him, how he's been. And finally, when class ends, he gets up and waits for you.

Naturally, you want to catch up, so you invite him to go to the cafe with you for a late lunch.

"You still like almond tofu right? It's all you used to eat when we were little." Laughing, you nudge his shoulder and the color returns to his cheeks as he mumbles a yes.

When you step into the cafe, a familiar voice greets you.

"If I knew a cute customer would be coming, I would've gone on break."

Kazuha leans on the counter, mirth in his eyes and you gasp. It makes sense now, why he's so well acquainted with the campus and why he'd already known what to order when you arrived for drinks-

"What can I get for you today?"

"Your number."

Xiao's face pales at the blatant flirting, wondering if he should've just declined the invitation to the cafe until the two of you burst into laughter. Though, it's hardly better.

"Sorry, sorry- This is Kazuha, one of my friends from high school. Kazuha, this is my childhood best friend Xiao."

With a day so filled with nice coincidences, you doubt that life can get any better than this.
