1. CONNECTIONS

write about how our muses could connect with each other! ex. what does your muse like to do that other people would be involved in? do they have interests that other people might share?

Linhardt is a Black Eagle, and one native to Fódlan. Any who decide to study the politics of the continent would easily stumble upon his house, and connections can be drawn from there (accurate or otherwise).

She is a frequenter of the library though, even if she's most often found there late at night. Aside from her chronic reading, she also likes to fish! Not competitively though. She's not that competitive.

If you can't find them in class, the library, or at the Fishing Grounds though, just wander around the monastery a bit—they're probably asleep underneath a tree somewhere. Or in their room asleep, in which case, good luck finding them.

2. PLATONIC

write about your muse and their concept of friendship. ex. how is your muse like with friends? do they make friends easily or do they find it difficult to connect with others?

Friendship for Lin is... interesting, to say the least. They'll regard you much the same as they would any other person, but perhaps with slightly less rudeness/sass (unless you're really close, then it's worse *cough cough* CASPAR *cough cough*). The chance of summoning them with the click of your heels increases by 0.5%, so that's also a neat bonus! Really, the big thing is that they'll consciously worry about you now (when they think it's necessary to worry, otherwise, you're on your own).

The thing is, once you actually manage to pin him down, so long as you aren't asking him to do work all the time, you'd be pretty alright in his book! The threshold for 'friendship' though is rather hard to pin down—one day you're acquaintances and the next you're friends. It's not really easy to draw the line.

I can't say she makes friends easily considering she... doesn't exactly try, to be quite frank (it's part of the reason the previous bullet is so nebulous). She'd be completely content being alone forever (minus that one hamster), and she doesn't really rely on others that much except to do work she'd rather not do! Actively seeking out a friend isn't really something she does. I can't say she struggles either though—there is simply no effort made at all. Alas.

3. ANTAGONISTIC

write about your muse and the conflicts they have with other people. ex: who are they on bad terms with? what kind of people do they not get along well with? how do they act around people they don’t like?

Hubert. Also Ferdinand. Edelgard to an extent. Caspar sometimes (it's a best friends thing) /j. Yeah. Yeah.

To elaborate, anybody who expects her to put in more than the minimum amount of effort gotta be joking fr! It's not that bad if it's a misunderstanding, but if you try to force it? Yikes. (Edelgard ain't that bad fr cuz she knows when to quit! Also when to appeal. She's cool ong)

Admittedly, antagonism for Linhardt is basically the same as their normal behavior, just snarkier. More witty rebuttals and sharp comments—this man can never be anything but blunt! They're already very likely to just walk away from a conversation, but if they don't like you? Ohoho!

Won't lose sleep over it though. That's a bit too much.

4. ROMANTIC

write about your muse and their relationship with romance. ex. are they searching for love or not interested in it in the slightest? what’s their dating history like? how do they act around crushes? how would they treat their partner if they were in a relationship?

Okay 'cause this is hilarious when the muse is aromantic gwahaha!

This is an aroace lil guy—completely disinterested in romance for romance's sake (because someone tell me how he tells how many different girls they're gonna have kids together in his A-supports? Also in basically every instance it's got something to do with crests and studying them. He's a bit insane).

Their dating history is completely blank. There is actually nothing to see here.

Similarly, there are no crushes for her to act different around! This one is fairly normal (<- this post was brought to you by the Aspec Gang)

As for how he'd treat his partner if he was dating—the same way he would act if they were friends? lol? Literally nothing has changed in his mind except that there might be kisses or something. (Is there a book he can read somewhere on this? Probably.)

🖤💜happy ace week, time to share this post that’s been sitting in my drafts forever! 💜🖤

My rationale behind most of these is “i am aroace and these are the vibes I get”. Reminder that asexuality and aromanticism can appear independent of each other. When I specifically say a character is aroace, it means I see them as both. I also defined any more specifc/lesser known ace/aro labels used in the explanantion. This is in no way intended to be deep analysis 😂

Linhardt - no one can tell me this man experiences any sexual attraction, drive, or motivation. The only feeling he gets when finding out “want to sleep together?” isn’t literal is disappointment. I think this take isn’t that hot. 

Hubert -  this one’s like extremely specific but he experiences romantic attraction rarely, and even then he doesn’t know how the fuck to distinguish between romantic attraction, The Trauma™, and platonic feelings (in terms of labels, I get gray-aro/quoiromantic). Basically, I don’t see him falling in love more than once in his life. I also think he’s a sex-favourable ace in the sense that he’s super kinky but doesn’t project those fantasies onto a specific person. 

Bernadetta - we’re getting specific again! I think she’d be aegosexual (no desire to engage in sex herself, but can feel sexual arousal from fantasies about other people/fictional characters). 

Caspar - someone said the words “ace Caspar” to me once and they have not left my brain so there you go

Dimitri - this might be a hot take but i saw sexy Dimitri fanart and went “why am I not vibing with this” and realized I spent my entire AM playthrough unknowingly headcanoning this man as ace. I think Dimitri not only doesn’t want to have sex, but is actively terrified of it. Given his strength, self-loathing, and general relationship cluelessness, he’s in no position to try. He’d experience extreme guilt and angst at the thought of not being able to keep his family line alive so angst writers, do your thing. (Side note: I actually think that he’d end up doing what Edelgard was always going to do and select a successor unrelated to him because of this!) 

Claude - this is an even hotter take but I don’t get any romantic energy from him. I don’t ship him with anyone and I never saw any romantic chemistry between him and Byleth. I do think it’s cool that he’s the lord that’s not in love with you until you make it romantic. (I just wouldn’t make it romantic lmao). 

Mercedes - idk something about wanting to become a nun sounds p ace to me. I don’t have super firm stance on this tho

Lysithea - I genuinely don’t know if this is “she’s portrayed as a child/younger so shipping her with others makes me uncomfy” or “I just don’t see her having romantic or sexual chemistry with anyone” but she’s aroace to me

Leonie - she seems very unconcerned with the idea of romance and more content to do her own thing. I think her solo ending is good for her - she just lives her mercenary dreams to her heart’s content.

Background Info:

Originally from the city of Morfis, they were the child of a couple of traders who worked in Fódlan. 

One day their caravan was attacked by bandits, and they were left orphaned and wounded to roam around. 

They happened to collapse near Abyss, where Yuri found them on the verge of death and nursed them back to health. 

Since then they have lived in Abyss, but under a pseudonym and with an altered appearance to hide their Morfis heritage. 

They wield powerful illusion magic taught to most people from Morfis at a young age, which allows them to change the way others perceive their appearance and the appearance of other people and objects. The people of Morfis fear their magic being used for bad purposes, so they disguise themselves to hide. 

However, the magic only effects others’ view of them, so when they’re in front of reflective surfaces, it reveals their true appearance. They tend to avoid mirrors and puddles. 

They stay with Yuri in hopes of repaying their debt to him and finding their way home! 

Personality:

They tend to be very skittish and jumpy, and have a very sheepish and mellow personality. They always act a little guilty. 

Love to help out, and they always repay their debts, no matter how tall. They still feel an incredible debt to Yuri, so they’re especially sheepish around him. 

They’re pretty shy, but they tend to get attached to friends once they make them. They miss their family and are trying to form a new one for themselves. 

Quinn has a passion for experimenting with unique kinds of magic, trying to figure out what they can accomplish away from home. 

They don’t really know how to do things for themselves without being asked. Self care is important but they’re not really familiar with the concept, and tend to work to the point of burnout a lot. 

Their personality is the truest part about them! They’re not putting on an act, they’re just an anxious and mild-mannered person. :)

Top ships for linhardt!

My guy of all time! Though I usually see him as aroace, I have a few ships for him.

1. I hate to repeat myself, but I have to be honest: QPP Linhardt/Bernadetta. These idiots stumbled into my heart and won't leave <3 Their supports really show what they have to gain from each other while also displaying unconditional support for both as they are. "Let's be shut ins... Together."

2. Linhardt/Sylvain. Definitely a rarepair! I think there's a lot of potential, given how unaffected/blunt Linhardt is and how affectionate Sylvain is. I'm actually in the middle of a WIP for this ship shh

3. Linhardt/Caspar. I like them more as friends, but I do love them as a couple. I love their dynamic, I love their ending of travelling the world, they're just so good together (and they kiss sometimes!).

Bonus: Linhardt and Felix also have a lot of potential (absolute crime we didn't get supports) but while they are similar in a lot of ways, they're also so different they're incompatible (Lin wants to relax forever and Felix wants to move around and fight, etc). But so incompatible they become... Compatible? That kind of thing.

So I have 6 save files at the last fight in VW as M!Byleth just to S-support six people I haven’t before that I wanted to. So far it has been: Manuela - her denial was heartbreaking and most of the scene and I’m so sad she thinks no one would ever love her! Motherfucker I do! Linhardt - his idea on napping longer for more work is a good trade-off. His excitement was endearing, but he seemed to look at it more like a business deal (aroace linhardt coming in strong). I wonder if he helped discover how to remove crests? That’s a plotline I haven’t heard from the other routes that had no follow-up (or supports, I forget). Yuri - Also seemed like more of a “let’s team up” instead of anything explicitly romantic; it seems in character for Yuri to set himself up in a political marriage (with someone he doesn’t hate) for the good of others. His insistence to help people in poverty wins me over, as a people in poverty. People who are self-aware, also aware of us, and furthermore want to help us are damn good people we need more of. Yuri comes across as truly heroic in this scene.  I oopsie’d and forgot I wasn’t playing on casual and lost Marianne and Constance, who I was going to S-support. Hapi is next, but I need two other people. Why isn’t Claude an option???
