I feel like they'd be friends (or at least have mutual respect for each other)
Short fic below (ep. 7 spoilers):
...
"Hey."
"Hi, or whatever."
...
"So uhh...what do humans like you do around here?", Uzi asked the smaller girl.
"Just go to school, come home, sleep, and repeat, pretty much.", Anastacha replied nonchalantly.
"Cool...you hang with anyone after school?", Uzi asked after a pause.
"I'm not much for that, or whatever.", Anastacha replied.
Uzi stared at the girl with curiosity after she stated that.
"Wait, do you happen to not have any friends to hang out with because they either ignore you or don't remember you exist?", Uzi asked.
Anastacha took a step back in surprise.
"That's...oddly specific...how did you know?", she asked in a more apprehensive manner.
"Same. Let me tell you, I've been sitting next to some of my classmates for YEARS, and none of them even remember my name.", Uzi said in a more irritated tone.
Anastacha seemed to calm down after Uzi said this; taking a step forward and adjusting the bands holding up her ponytails.
"Okay...uhh..."
...
"Is your dad single, by any chance?", Anastacha asked.
Uzi was caught off guard by the invasive question as she stared at Anastacha in shock.
"What the hell kind of question is that? What are you up to, human?", Uzi asked, her tone becoming more defensive.
"Oh, chill out. Just say it! My dad is single, too! Also, how do you think I felt when you asked me about my social life?", Anastacha replied, annoyed.
Uzi furrowed the brows on her visor and stood up straight again.
"Fair play."
Uzi thought for a moment while staring up at the ceiling, thinking of what to ask her next. She looked down and saw Anastacha doing the same thing. What she wanted to ask her then came to mind, and she took a deep breath.
"Does your dad care about you, but is also dating a guy that's apathetic and doesn't care about you all that much, and is trying to?"
"Does your dad care about you, but is also dating a guy that's sleazy and doesn't care about you all that much, and is trying to?
They both asked those questions in unison.
...
"Nice. Dads with opposite partners?" said, offering Anastacha a fist bump.
"Dads with opposite partners.", Anastacha replied, giving it to her.
"I like you. What's your name?", Uzi asked.
"Anastacha. Yours?"
"Uzi. Nice to meetcha."
"So, you wanna go hang out in my apartment, or whatever?", Anastacha asked.
"Sounds good.", Uzi replied while putting her hands in her pockets.
"Cool. I'm sure my mom can cook us up something to eat. She's a chef.", Anastacha said as she and Uzi entered the elevator.
"Oh, my mom's a heart with legs, but that's not important.", Uzi mentioned.
"Whatever."
...
"Wait, what?!", Anastacha exclaimed as the doors closed in her face.

Common Sense Kings Headcanons
(Angst-free only.)
As a Whole:
"Common Sense" is a lie. They share one braincell and Kan keeps it in the confiscated phones drawer. (He hasn't trusted them since the Incident. No, I will not elaborate.)
They're all great swimmers, except Tsuburaba. The kanji in Awase's name all relate to water â bubbles, rapids, ocean, and snow; Kaibara is definitely the type to use his Quirk as a boost (and it just seems helpful in general); and for Rin, Chinese dragons are associated with water, unlike Western ones. Tsuburaba, meanwhile, is mostly associated with air.
Video game nights usually end in disaster. That's why they mostly play Mario Kart, the least rage-inducing game ever.
Awase:
Sometimes, he Welds together little mixed media sculptures. Metal bits, googly eyes, Rin's scales, that sort of thing. He isn't very good at it, but then, he doesn't have to be. It sparks joy.
Also decent with mechanics. He, Yaoyorozu, and Hatsume would make a great team.
Has a lot of scars from all the dumb shit he's done over the years â and he's proud of every single one of them. Even the dumbest ones. It inadvertently helps some of his friends feel better about their own.
Cheats at origami.
Kaibara:
Loves green tea. This is based on two puns: Sencha (ç
čś), the most popular green tea in Japan, and chasen (čśç
), the bamboo whisk used to make matcha. (There are so many puns you can make on the name Sen, it's great.)
The best dancer of the four â or, the only good dancer. The other three suck.
A contortionist in every way except professionally, with no qualms about showing it off. He's got the most fucked-up joints you've ever seen. He can even turn his head around like an owl. Fear him. (Seriously, look up contortionists, they're awesome.)
Tsuburaba:
Has the spice tolerance of a wet chicken nugget. You could kill him with a singular Dorito. The other three refuse to let him live this down.
Obsessed with practical effects in movies and plays. Props, clever set design, you name it. He's even experimented with using his Solid Air for something similar, though he hasn't done it in a while. In a movie production AU, he'd definitely be in charge of that.
When Kan doesn't have it, Tsuburaba holds the braincell. He's objectively a terrible choice, yes, but process of elimination rules. And yes, this is because of the Incident.
Rin:
Many thoughts, head still empty for some reason.
His favorite animal is the koi fish.
Almost won the class representative election purely by promising to teach the class Mandarin swear words. Kan was not happy.
Can and will make up a bullshit idiom. What are you gonna do about it? Fact-check him? Take your phone out and Google it? In front of the teacher?

Please! Headcanons about the AU where Stain is 1-Aâs homeroom teacher.
Oh this one that's getting redone
Uhhhh let's try to do five I haven't said yet except I can't find the other hc posts and don't remember what has and hasn't so we're winging it...
1- I cannot put into words how much teacher favoritism Izuku suddenly has. It takes him a few weeks to realize but when it does it makes him very uncomfortable. He still doesn't say anything about it until after the SF to All Might, and only said something to Stain when defending a classmate while a bit snappish late at night after a long day at camp. Stain had been told by All Might previously and had actually been trying to not, but was proud of Izuku for saying it too and was less obvious afterwards
2- one of the redoes... I think Stain's hero name will be Banneret, not Stendhal, and he'll have opinions about the hero names of the students to the point that Nedzu has another teacher do it for him so he stops shaming some choices. This doesn't stop from plenty of his own opinionated lectures beforehand about what makes a good name
3- Stain also has opinions about costumes but Nedzu does actually let him veto those up until the point the kids have their own licences. This year he's vetoed Ibara, Momo, Manga, and Bakugou's. He was close to vetoing Kirishima's too but figured the kid had so much hero heart it would be fine
4- have I said who's probably in Stain's class yet? Because it's: Midoriya, Ibara, Hagakure, Tsuyu, Uraraka, Iida, Yaomomo, Jiro, Mina, Inasa, Kuroiro, Awase, Sen, Poni, Manga, Ojiro, Kirishima, Bakugou, Shoji, and Tokoyami. Momo is the class president and Tokoyami the vice. (well... Technically Dark Shadow is the vice but)
5- despite working together, or perhaps because of how much they work together, Stain is very deliberate with not having any of Aizawa's kids in his class, which the vigilante appreciates not because of the teacher but because 1a just keeps getting caught in so much stuff he wants to deal with as little as possible.
#oh i gotta work on my ptcb rewrite too...#well 'rewrite' is generous with how much changes .....#id call it a complete overhaul but ah. well. ehehe. bit awkward to#pocket talks to people#anon#ask game

A Vague Soul Eater Timeline Estimate:
TyI feel confused a lot when I see the characters listed as being 13 since a lot of elements donât line up. Things like Soul riding a Harley (which are notoriously large and likely hard for a boy at the start of puberty to ride), Tsumugi (canonically 14) calling Maka senpai, and of course, the likelihood that the soul eater characters arenât the same age. I saw a half finished draft pointing out some of these things but it began to become just a lengthy timeline. So as someone whoâs obsessively documented this series for over 10 years, I thought Iâd just explain the general time frames in Soul Eater.Â
Warning: Long and full of spoilers.
First off, I always pictured the characters to start the series around 15 for various reasons Iâll get into later but in doing some extra fact checking, the wiki even cited Ohkubo saying Soul is 13-15. My viewing of their age is proto Maka and Soul in the pilot chapter look significantly younger than their standard design. While I doubt years passed between the Blair incident and Meeting Tsumugi on the stairs, I view their proto designs as 13 and their standard look as them at 15. Although admittedly there is a lot of information that can be contradictory as we will see.
Black Star is often headcanoned as the youngest but he is actually roughly a year older than Maka. He was brought to DWMA on the day she was born. The wiki says he was one year old but seeing as he was still unable to walk or talk, Iâd guess it was closer between 6-10 months.Â
Liz supposedly said in chapter 74 that she is two or three years older than BS making her around 17-19 at the beginning. Iâm going to estimate low and put her at 17 for reasons. At some point I hope to find the original japanese text to see for myself just to verify if thatâs what she said or if it was an embellished translation. Since Tsubaki has a similar figure to her, I would put her at the same age.
Patty is a little confusing. Sheâs called a Twin gun along with her sister and Japan still uses Onee/imouto even for twins based on who was born first, however Twin seems to more mean matching that literal twins in this use. Patty is probably anywhere between 14-16 but Iâm going to stick with 16 because her doppleganger from B.ichi, Mana is 16 (Patty is also a bit taller than Maka which could suggest she is older.)
Death the Kidd has also been confirmed by Ohkubo to be 13-15 (which again Iâm gonna place as 15).
So final thoughts before timeline listing, Soul Eater not is one of the most reliable pieces of info on the early Soul Eater timeline. Death City is in a monoseasonal climate which made it hard to identify how much time was passing but Tsumugiâs arrival fills in a LOT of details. She is 14 (a japanese middle schooler), arrives in Spring (Most likely April), Soul is still wearing a Gakuran(Boyâs middle school uniform) ONLY in the first episode (suggesting he was at the end of being middle school aged), Sid is still alive and Medusa is still around at the start but Stein shows up midway through the series, and her series ends on Halloween. I will push back the main kidsâ ages back slightly for SEN. To also note, DWMA seems to most commonly take in students middle school aged an above unless there is a unique circumstance in cases like Black Star, PoT, PoF, and Angela. And finally, becoming a Death Weapon is rare and the info of Soul and Makaâs second time collecting 100 souls will suggest the minimum time progression from their first meeting to the Blair incident.Â
So without further ado:
At 12/13 years old, Maka and Soul meet and pair up as a Meister Weapon pair. Both regularly wore a gakuran and the same sailor suit as tsumugi. Maka introduces Soul to Black Star who is a childhood friend and both meet his new partner Tsubaki.
Roughly one year before Tsumugi arrives, Spirit and Makaâs Mother (Who we will call Kami; her fan name from a misinterpretation) decide to get divorced. US divorces take about a year to go through and theirs finalized at the start of the first SE arc.
It was likely at this point Maka moved into an apartment with Soul since her mum left and the two seemed to have lived together for a while by SE not.
During the winter, Death offers Liz and Patty to become his weapons. Liz accepts wanting to provide Patty a better life.
Soul and Maka begin to to transition out of their middle school style uniforms as by a japanese standard, they would be considered high school aged now.
Soul Eater Not Starts
Age Estimates(Young-Oldest): SEN trio 14, Maka: 14 3/4, Soul 15, Dtk 15, BS 15.5, Patty 15.5, Liz 17, Tsubaki 17
Tsumugi discovers she is a weapon and moves to Death City in April. She meets her senpai Maka who is in the advanced class and who later gives a demonstration with Soul who is still wearing a Gakuran. Neither seem upset as they would have if they had recently encountered Blair.Â
Between April and May, they loose the 100 souls they collected and Blair moves into their apartment. (SEN 4 references SE 4) A few days later, Black Star fights Mifune for the first time (Based on the Animeâs Prologues which better connect the stories).
Late April: Kim and Jackie become a Meister Weapon pair after Jackie learns Kim is a witch; they are possibly younger than the other main cast as they still wear sailor suits in the main series.
Mid-May: Eternal Feather is possessed by Shaula and is nearly killed but Stein stiches her back up. The main SE cast are likely not aware of Stein as Sid is still alive.
October: Shaula kills Sid.
October 31: Shaula attack Death City but SEN Trio kills her.Â
Timeline Inconsistency: There is a timeskip at the end of SEN showing DtK, Liz and Patty becoming partners in Spring however they should already be a working team before the otherâs remedial lesson. Specifically in the 2008 anime, Black Star and Soul notice someone (DTK) took a high level mission and ask a still alive Sid for information.
Kim and Jackie are moved up to EAT class.
Soul Eater Starts (Post prologues)
Age changes: Maka: 15; BS, Patty: 16. 6 months have elapsed since SEN.
November: Stein reanimates Stein. Soul, Maka, BS, and Tsubaki meet Stein during their remedial test who thereafter becomes their class teacher. BS and Soul attempt to fight DTK who is starting classes at DWMA.Â
Maka and Soul fight Crona. Soul gets badly wounded and infected with Black Blood. Medusa who is unknowingly the witch creating black blood watches his progress in secret. While Soul is recovering Dtk and BS find Excalibur.
Winter: Tsubaki defeats her brother giving her a new power that BS needs to train to use leading to Maka wanting to also become stronger for Soul. Medusa briefly battles Eruka who becomes her unwilling servant. She sends Eruka to Free....Free. Maka, Soul, BS, and Tsubaki battle Free and defeat him after Maka and Soul overcome their issues and slightly awaken the black blood. Maka now is also infected with BB.
March: Year end exams more or less. Given the importance of the exam, it matches up with Japanâs placement exams.
Kid fights Crona while suspicion grows on Medusa.
March 31st: Shibusen founders party. Medusa ambushes them with only our 4 meister weapon pairs escaping. Crona is willingly captured after Maka befriends them and Medusa is âkilledâ, but the Kishin is ultimately revived and Stein is infected with Medusa??. Due to some confusing wording, a lot of people including myself mistake Shibusenâs foundation being around xmas. Realizing the actual date is the end of March, the timeline since Nov is a became a little more vague.
Age Changes: Soul, Dtk: 16; Liz Tsubaki; 18; 12mo since SEN; 6mo since SE
April: The death weapons convene in Death City. Crona starts school at DWMA.
Crona joins Maka and Soul on a mission to the Czech Republic where Arachne is reformed after 800 years. Giriko is also there and apparently just kept body stealing his kids for all that time.
Maka comes back temporarily paralyzed and BS fights Mifune a second time while seeking revenge. (We will diverge from the Anime now)
Joe comes to Death City for internal investigation.
A girl is possessed by Medusa. Crona becomes used to DWMA and Dtk puts on a part for them. Midway through the party, they are called on a mission. Kid is conflicted at finding Deathâs name alongside the wizard Brewâs and Crona gets a visit from Medusa after leaving the party. Medusa tells Crona to spy and further worsen Steinâs condition. The Wiki points out that itâs May 21st based on a comment by Azusa.Â
May 22nd: DtK fails to find the Book of Eibon.
May 23rd: Crona poisins Marie.
June: The 3 meister renaissance is formed.
The battle for Brew Occurs.
Maka finds out Crona is working with Medusa but doesnât know what to do, Black Star fights Kid, and Justin Law, the shibusen traitor, kills Joe.
Stein and Marie leave to track Joeâs Killer, BS and Tsubaki take a break from shibusen to go to Tsubakiâs home, and Crona leave Death City for good.
Maka, Soul, DtK, Liz, Patty, and Blair fight some of the Kishinâs clown agents in Russia.
Medusa returns and bargains with Shibusen with her child host as hostage and giving the names of witches in Death City, including Kim who runs away to join Arachnaphobia. Arachnaphobia uses a brew tool to manipulate them.
An alliance between Medusa and Shibusen is formed to fight Arachnaphobia.
I want to make the guess that summer has passed and it is August/September by the Baba Yaga fight. 1. Because it seems like enough events have happened that 3months would have passed and 2. this would make the time skip start in spring which fits thematically (new arc, new team, etc).
The battle against Arachne occurs. Kim and Jackie are saved. BS kills Mifune in their final battle. Arachne is killed by Soul and Maka becoming their witch soul to make Soul a death scythe. Medusa transfers herself to her sisterâs corpse and flees leaving behind a free Rachel. Death is captured by Noah.
Angela is taken in by Shibusen who plan to try and guide her away from the sway of destruction natural in witches.
6 month timeskip, the main cast heals, Spartoi is formed, Justin is formally know as the traitor acquitting Stein of the murder, and Soul and Maka recollect 100 kishin souls thus officially turning Soul into a death scythe.Â
Spartoi Arc Starts
Time Passed since SEN: 2 years; Since SE: 1year 5 months
Ages: Maka 16 3/4, Soul/DtK 17, BS/Patty 17 1/2, Liz/Tsubaki:19
Maka and Soul train with Kim and Jackie to utilize Makaâs grigori soul properties for flying. At the same time, Gopher, Noahâs devot peon, attacks intending to assassinate Maka. Maka ofc wins.Â
Killik is sent to do reconnaissance on Medusa with Liz and Patty in addition to his Shamanic weapons. There he faces off against Medusaâs madness experimentations.
At the same time, BS and Tsubakiâs recon leads them to a memory erased Crona who they battle with. Eruka and Mizune come to retrieve Crona but Eruka is caught by BS in the end.
Also at the same time, Medusa who was overseeing both events through a crystal ball ends up in a three way battle with Justin and Tezca, the South American death scythe.
Maka and Soul who are still at school discuss how Soul has been getting even more partner requests lately. Only Maka seems aware that an underclassmen has been following them as well.
Soul and Maka witness Blair and the Chupa witches make their way to meet with Shinigami-sama about rescuing Kid followed by BS breaking in behind them to show off the captured Eruka.
Spartoi and Blair enter the book intending to save Kid. While I wonât go over it in its entirety, itâs worthwhile to point out that Giriko describes Maka as looking 15 or so (Something the fandom used often as Makaâs age). However, when he also believed she was new henchman, he said she was 7/10 years too young to be working there suggesting he perceives her as younger than she is.Â
DtK gets consumed by madness and has a duel with BS.Â
Crona starts spreading madness zones in Russia. Maka and Soul journey with Stein, Kim and Jackie but Soul is briefly taken over by madness.
Kid starts pursuing for answers on Eibon.
Crona kills Medusa.
Spartoi is given the order to kill Crona if found. Maka does a soul perception search but instead comes across the kishin on the moon.
Shibusen prepares for the battle on the moon while Maka and Soul continue to look for Crona. Very little time passes during the kid salvage arc and it seems to be summer when preparations are finished. I would presume since an airship was needed to be built, the final battle takes place around August.Â
As Kid and the Death Scythes begin the battle on the moon, Spartoi joins Maka in finding Crona in Italy. Maka fails to talk Crona down who then heads to the moon with the intent to consume the Kishin.
Having no interest in killing Crona, the kids somewhat defect from Spartoi and head to the moon to aid in the fight. However, some of the fighters from the moon, including kid, return after struggling in their mission. Kid decides to gather allies with the witches in order to defeat Asura.Â
Crona consumes the kishin and battles Maka while stripping her friends and partner. Maka uses Spirit instead and Crona becomes frustrated at being unable to disharmonize the two. Spirit explains their parent/child connection is too strong to be unsynced causes them to freak out and be overtaken by the kishin.
The meister weapon pair trio battles Asura, Kid reaches godhood, Maka and Soul go inside the Kishin to find Crona, work with them, and kill the Kishin as they rip through him. The witches protect the humans from the flood of madness that spills out and a new era of Shibusen/Witch alliance forms.
Chrona deadass infects the world with boob madness.
A funeral for Shinigami-sama is held the following week.
Kidâs coronation occurs where he announces the end to the war between Shibusen and Witches. We know enough time has passed that people became used to the black moon and BS has decently healed despite literally breaking every bone in his body but Marie hasnât gotten her baby bump yet which comes in during the third month of pregnancy meaning probably only 2 months at most have passed. October makes sense for where the story ends.
Final main 7 ages (vague ideas):Â
Maka: 17
Soul: 17.5
Black Star: 18
Tsubaki: 19-20
Death the Kid: 17.5
Liz:19-20
Patty:18
Total time since SEN started: 2.5 years
Total time since post prologue SE: ~2 years
Final thoughts:
Well, that took two long nights to write down. I tried not to give a tedious play by play and only put down the most essential of story details to help give an idea on time passage. It got progressively harder to detail time as sources started to dwindle from the manga timeline. I love the Spartoi arc so at some point I might go through that part again to reexamine some details. Japanese high school is only three years long so the idea of their story starting at Japanâs freshman age and ending around HS graduation seems fitting. One of the things that also occurred to me with the timeline write up was that Justin in concretely 17 when Crona briefly joins Shibusen, giving us someone to contrast against our cast. In this lovely breakdown we can see the growth spurt the main 3 guys go through but if you also look at their artwork in the later chapters, they also share similar slimmed features to Justinâs design. I will say, early on I was surprised how many time frame details I was able to pull out from the material. Soul Eater was always vague with the fine details but clearly some of us managed to pull out a lot from it.Â
In terms of the soul collection, the second 100 souls required 2 years to get(1 soul/mission a week). Soul collection would theoretically get easier over time and experience but its hard to figure out with all the variables we saw like a major injury, an attack on the city, and the kishin revival. Then thereâs also questioning how long it took Maka and Soul to sync up. While Tsumugiâs case is unusual, it took her 6 months to even partner up (though then they also flawlessly killed a witch sooo). Going by the middle + high school model for Shibusen, Makaâs efficiency and a less big world issues could possibly validate the idea they could get that far in 3 years. Applying that much time for the idea Maka/Soul are 13 would mean they started their partnership at around 9-10 years old which seems unlikely to me. Then again, Justin became a death scythe AT 13 so who knows.Â
My last little thought is completely inconsequential but I see Maka as having an end of August birthday. The 23rd game to mind but I didnât realize that was the switchover date from Leo to Virgo. Based on what google searches say about those signs, it feels fitting imo.
Well, congrats for making it all the way and thanks for hearing out my ramblings!

(1) Tell me about your week: Mostly I've been suffering with fatigue and headaches, but I have been working on editing/making my second draft of my original novel (first instalment of a series) when I am able and I went into the city to buy essentials for (2).
(2) Something exciting: Something exciting this is happening is that I am getting a puppy! She's coming home this Thursday and I am so excited! Her name is going to be Isabelle (first name, God's Oath and Beauty) Ai (middle name, Love) and she's a Shih Tzu and Chihuahua cross!
(3) Fandom thoughts: Since it's coming up to Hallowe'en, I have been imagining a ShinKami (because they are my muses right now) fanstory where many of the students and teachers at UA are monsters - vampires, werewolves, dragon-shifters, witches, illusionists, nymphs, etc. In the story, Shinsou is a vampire (Aizawa too) and has received discrimination because of that and his quirk, but, since what monster you are or are not is not mentioned unless good friends, him and Kaminari become friends. (Shinsou became better at blending in so people don't immediately guess he's a vampire anymore.) Then the Bakusquad tell each other what monsters they all are and Kaminari is conflicted - because he's not just human but also from a family of monster hunters (who, to get straight to angst here, have been pretty abusive towards him - like rubbing garlic all over his clothes when he was little to keep vampires away from him, even though he's deathly allergic). The story varies from that point, but that's where it starts!
I don't have the energy to write that story idea myself, as I am already spread thin between my original novel and Risks Worth Taking (which I will update when I am able to, but I am focusing on my original novel for now). But I do enjoy imagining it!
(4) Headcanons: Hmmm. So, I get a lot of headcanons for Kaminari because he reminds me a lot of myself from when I was a teenager (cheerful, outgoing, friendly and lacking a filter). I headcanon him to have ADD (and I *should* headcanon him to be autistic like me, as it would explain the lack of a filter, but I don't). I like the headcanon that he might be gender neutral or a trans guy - but at the same time I also like the headcanon that he's a cis guy that is super comfortable with feminine stuff like make up and nail varnish. All of them work for me! I definitely think he has a sister of some kind, probably older, and he knows how to do domestic chores (if not as well as Bakugo). I also headcanon Kaminari as being from a rich family! It would be a fun twist that someone who blends in so well with the others is actually rich like Iida, Yaoyorozu and Todoroki (just nothing to do with heroes). My favourite headcanons are that (a) he's not seriously flirting with people, he's breaking the ice to befriend them and is just naturally flirtatious beyond that and (b) he gets really flustered and can't flirt back when someone flirts with him!
(5) Stories: I don't know what fandoms, outside of BnHA, you are in. But! I recently read, and am reading the sequels which are even better, of this excellent Draco Malfoy (it is Drarry but not yet) time travel story!
Draco Malfoy and the Mirror of Ecidyrue by starbrigid
All it takes is one look in a mirror and an ill-advised attempt to shatter it, before an embittered Draco Malfoy fresh out of Azkaban is sent back into his body on the day he gets his Hogwarts letter.
Suddenly, Draco has an unwanted second chance, with a Sorting Hat that doesn't know what to do with him, a certain Muggleborn who won't leave his study table alone, and green eyes he just can't get out of his head. And then there's his new wand, whose choice of him could just mark him as every bit as dark a wizard as his name means he should be.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/23872387
As for a BnHA story, since I've spoken of ShinKami in (3), I will recommend a ShinKami story which is a Romeo and Juliet situation - and very funny!
Thus With a Kiss, I die by DomineeringScarves
Kaminari finds himself head over heels for the newest addition to their class, Shinsou Hitoshi. Normally the flirty blonde would just present himself with open arms but there's a major problem with his infatuation. There's unspoken rules in 1-A and Kaminari is part of the Bakusquad...whereas Shinsou is a part of the Dekusquad. The two can't be together. It's just not possible. There's no way Bakugou would ever allow one of his extras to date Deku's friend.
There's only one thing left to do, give up and move on. Too bad Kaminari can't seem to escape Shinsou.
Aka the fic where Kaminari is Romeo and Shinsou is Juliet and they have to secretly date so their squads don't fall into an all out war.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/15993539/chapters/37314002
(6) Yelling: I love you and your stories! Thank you so much!!!
I hope you are doing well! And that this brightens your day!
Sen. x
whooo, long ask! I hope you feel better, but that sounds great otherwise. Congratulations on the puppy & I hope she brings you much joy.
that sounds like a fun AU, itâs certainly the season. sometimes ideas are just as good when they remain in the head - like nice daydream material.
nice headcanons!! I donât have many for Kaminari myself, I like following other peopleâs interpretations, but you should headcanon how you want. Iâve never heard someone headcanon about rich!Kaminari much but it could definitely add something interesting to his character/upbringing/interactions. I totally flirt platonically with friends, though only if theyâre comfortable with it; thatâs very sweet.Â
maybe some followers will appreciate the fic recs. Iâm happy to share them on the blog of course.Â
thanks for stopping by!!!

You mentioned a fic about Demi! Jaime once and now Iâm obsessed. Gimme deets? Demi!Jaime is my absolute favorite headcanon and Iâm thrilled other ppl see it too
I mean, the evidence is right there. đ DemiJaime is also known as the Minigolf AU, which is actually a modern AU series of seven (short) fics tracing from Brienne and Jaimeâs first meeting to an eventual relationship, centred around school holiday times (for reasons that will be apparent in a moment.)
Iâm hoping (fingers crossed) to post the first fic in the series, a chapter a day, during JB Weekâit means it will be more rushed and unpolished than I prefer, but I also know Iâm at a serious risk of overthinking the story.
Five Facts/Headcanons I Donât Think Iâve Shared Yet, Jaimeâs POV:
Jaime might never actively identify as demisexual on page, because Iâm not sure there will be a natural place to put this without turning it into a lecture of sexual identities, but it informs the whole arc.
Jaime is a teacher/Special Educational Needs Coordinator at his school, Brienne has all the SEN education but has remained a nanny to the Starks for a variety of reasons. Iâm hoping to echo the disillusionment with knighthood from canon with thisâJaimeâs constrained by family politics, the establishment is constantly undermining the good that could be done, Jaime excelled at his field and is still incredible at his job but has become complacent, Brienneâs not achieving her goals for reasons outside of her control, etc.
From the Bachelor Auction in FebruaryââIâd much rather spend an evening with you than some parent who is either looking to fulfill their Hot For Teacher fantasies or hoping Iâll give their little darling a leg up on the next homework assignment. Both of which have happened in past years, by the way. And if the kids call and need me home early, youâd completely understand.â Jaime is absolutely not joking, but somehow gets roped into this every year.
Iâve gone through a lot of variations of the Jaime & Aerys arc, from ignoring it completely to some pretty dark things, and have finally settled (I think) on something in the middle ground that sort of blends Aerysâs privilege and Petyr Baelishâs creepiness, and explains why Catelyn hates Jaime but isnât such a black mark on his name it impacts his ability to be a teacher.
And a bonus sixth fact, which I know Iâve shared but amuses me constantly: Cersei went to the University of St. Andrews in the hopes of catching the eye of Prince William. Which, yes, is a thing women actually did. She clearly did not succeed, and she remains petty about it to this day.
Send me a name of a fanfic I wrote or have mentioned and iâll give you five facts/headcanons about it! Or send me đ and Iâll pic a random fic I have to give five facts/headcanons about!

... but would you WRITE an entire series about Chihiro's classmates being confused (a series is a Lot of writing but outsider pov is my jam and also your writing so if you ever did anything with that concept I would cry probably)
Some headcanons because I donât really have the TIME to write an entire series but I DO have the time to rhapsodize about my Love for this concept.
So the new girlâs name is Chihiro and sheâs weird and charming and friendly and fearless. She always wears a lucky purple hairtie and she stops to bow to every shrine she comes across and she takes her time writing her name, every kanji clear and precise and unmistakable. She goes from new to popular in about a week and her teachers tell her parents that their daughter has a natural gift for making friends, open and cheerful with anyone whoâs civil to her. She doesnât have answers for anyone about those two months that her family was just kind of missing, but other than that sheâs an open book.
Chihiro is known for being open, even.
So when a girl in a salmon uniform shows up at the school looking for her sister Sen, a year after Chihiroâs arrival, and Chihiro launches herself into the strangerâs arms with a whoop of delight, everyone is...a little lost.
Chihiroâs sister is scary. One of the older boys hit on her and she broke his wrist. Chihiro told her to behave and her sister waved a hand and said, âRelax, Sen, he had it coming.â She moves like a bulldozer--if youâre in her way, your choices are to get out of it or get flattened. Within the day, itâs been firmly established that Lin, whoever the hell she is, is some kind of thug. She comes by every few months and brings Chihiro brief letters from âYoung Master Hakuâ and from âGrannyâ and âthe boilermanâ and everyone walks a little warier around Chihiro because her sister is clearly a yanki and not to be toyed with. Chihiroâs an easygoing person, but honestly Lin absolutely radiates âtheyâll never find the bodyâ and it handily resolves any issues that Chihiro might otherwise have.
When Chihiro is fifteen she leads an ecological initiative that is...absolutely absurdly successful, largely because she looked around at the other students in her class and said âThis is something I really care about, who wants to help meâ and every hand went up. Probably half of them actually care about the environment, and half of them are doing it to cover their community service requirement. Half of them are hoping to woo Absurdly Charming Local Student Ogino Chihiro over the next few months. There is some overlap between these groups.
Over one year, they raise an astonishing amount of money to contribute to a campaign to tear down some abandoned apartments in Chihiroâs old town and restore a river, and at the celebration they throw at the end of it all, she gets up and speaks and smiles and about three quarters of her class sighs in unison. Â
âI never expected to raise this much, thank you all so much for your help,â Absurdly Charming Local Student Ogino Chihiro says, beaming. Â
âOh no,â her classmates say, dismayed. Turns out finishing the project means being done with weekly meetings led by Chihiro.
Lin needles Chihiro about Young Master Haku and Chihiro blushes furiously every time and changes the subject to how her grandfather is doing. Â
The things that are Known about Chihiroâs grandfather are as follows:
Generally known as âthe Boilermanâ
Has a great many pets, all called âSootballâ
Likes Chihiro very much
Does not like Lin nearly as much
Smuggled Chihiro out of her great auntâs house once
Does not like blood on his walls
Once hid Young Master Haku for an entire night, possibly related to the blood situation
There are some serious concerns about what the Boilerman does and why he has such strict opinions about blood on his walls. Â
The next year, Chihiroâs parents are out of town on Parentsâ Day, which is how everyone meets the Boilerman and also Granny, who do not seem to be married and bicker constantly about everything except Chihiro and Grannyâs sister, who seems to be Linâs boss and also the great aunt who necessitated the smuggling. Granny mutters about Chihiroâs river fundraiser and Chihiro scolds her for almost killing someone, apparently Young Master Haku, and Granny scoffs that âhe was fineâ while the Boilerman complains about blood on his walls. Chihiro asks after an old friend and Granny says âWell we almost had bandits but he took care of them and we wonât have to worry about that anymoreâ and goes on to praise this personâs spinning.
So, everyone concludes, theyâre terrifying.
By the time Young Master Haku actually shows up, Chihiro is seventeen and sheâs managed to convince the school to send her whole class to see the un-damming of the Kohaku River, and her class has pretty soundly hashed out whatâs up. It goes like this:
Chihiroâs great aunt runs a yakuza clan and Young Master Haku is her heir and Lin is one of his direct underlings, and after a falling out Granny and Great-Aunt split the clan and now hate each other, and the Boilerman works for Great-Aunt and saved Young Master Hakuâs life after Granny tried to bump him off to put Chihiro in his place. Â
Chihiro seems pretty well out of the family business, though, and went and fell in love with the guy she was supposed to be replacing, and although Great-Aunt doesnât care for Chihiro as much as the rest, her son likes her and her heir likes her and so does everyone else, so the two clans play nicely for Chihiroâs sake.
Young Master Haku, once he shows up, is almost as terrifying as Lin in his coolly remote way, but he obviously dotes on Chihiro and she wears river pearl earrings that are probably worth more money than anything else she owns and grins, silly with glee, whenever she sees him.
No one tries to get Absurdly Charming Local Yakuza Daughter Ogino Chihiro to go out with them anymore because can you fucking imagine.
#spirited away#ogino chihiro#haku#starlight writes stuff#i shiP IT REAL HARD FOLKS#but honestly this is the only thing that makes SENSE if you only ever hear snippets of chihiro's story#also i'm a sucker for haku being like 'here chihiro let me shower you with valuables'#and also for everyone she meets basically falling in love with chihiro on the spot#chihiro naturally has no idea that everyone is CONVINCED that she has the power to call down the wrath of two criminal empires#honestly she'd be shocked to hear it#one time someone tried to mug her for a necklace haku gave her and that person is Deceased#news of that gets around the school pretty fucking quick as you can imagine#idk i just kind of threw this together#idiot teenagers with a queue#anonymous#asked and answered

Something There
During the fall of their second year at U.A. a trip is taken to a well-known hero training facility called Alderaan. During her time there Momo is paired with the person she least expects and unearths parts of him and herself that she never thought was there before.
Series: Boku No Hero Academia
Pairing: Bakumomo, Bakugou x Yaoyorozu.
Rating: T (canon-divergent)
Word Count: 5,473
A/N: Hello, yes hi. This is my first fic for an anime series so Iâm so sorry if the honorifics are off! I tried my best to do the best research I could. Feel free to kindly correct me if you notice anything off about them for next time. I would also like to say that I have another side blog called @bakumomoandco where I will answer any questions, do headcanons, take fic requests and more. The Bakumomo discord should be up this week as well! Thank you if you take the time to read this. It can be taken as shippy or non-shippy, but I hope you like it! :D p.s. sorry for any mistakes I tried to catch them all.p.s.s. If you catch a certain Disney reference, it is intentional. Lol.
Momo had always been a slow walker. It was something her mother constantly criticized saying that she needed to pick up her pace and keep focused. She couldnât help it though, her mind would wander and before she knew it she was trailing behind everyone else. It was never intentional, but it had become sort of a favorite pastime to trail behind her class. She liked to hear everyone chatter, study how they moved, or maybe even how they acted when they thought no one was looking. She used the excuse of Iida leading the class in front and so as his second she would trail behind to make sure everyone kept in line. So, maybe it wasnât something her mother particularly liked, but it did help her focus. It gave her the sharpened eyes she used today to analyze a situation. Â
Aizawa-sensei said that they were going to a legendary gym called Alderaan. It was a fancy gym that even still some of the best pros trained at. It was in a secluded location and it had been rumored that U.A. students sometimes got to visit-- but no one had ever known for sure. It was quite the workout since you had to hike to get there, but they werenât surprised at this rate. This was still much easier than when they had to find their way to camp last summer. However, they werenât allowed to use their quirks, they just had to walk. Momo didnât mind, she liked the quiet and she was sure their training would be quite challenging-- so it was probably best not to waste their energy now.
Her thoughts came to a crashing halt when a shoulder collided with hers. âMove, Ponytailâ the blond huffed, nudging her sideways with his shoulder again. Momo felt the blood rush to her cheeks as she realized she was about to hit an electrical pole and he had stopped her.
How humiliating she thought, her hands coming to her face in embarrassment.
âThank you, Bakugou-san,â her tone sincere, but filled with surprise at the same time. She didnât think anyone noticed her back there, nor did she ever look behind her. Was he always there? So much for being observant.
He only shrugged keeping his hands tucked away in his pockets.
âYao-momo!â Ashido chimed as she turned with a big grin on her face. âHurry! Weâre nearly there.â Jirou waved her over as well and Momo turned back to the blond who was now looking elsewhere. She picked up her pace to a quick jog; the cool fall air against her cheeks as she caught up with them.
In her sight line was a view of white buildings, some circular, some tall and skinny, while others were wide. The architecture had pristinely carved patterns along each one as if it were crafted by angels. They were all taken back by this sight. The air crisp from the high altitude, but it wasnât the reason they were all stood there breathless. It was a dream for them to be there and maybe it was just her imagination but it seemed as if the buildings were glowing.
They were directed to the dorms they would be staying in for the week. Class B would be sharing with them which would be interesting. They didnât spend too much with their other classmates, but Momo had made friends with Kendou and the other girls seemed nice-- so dorming should go over well. The class reps were in charge of assigning everyone a partner for the week. Aizawa-sensei said it was a good judge of leadership to see if they could pair people up with those suited for them.
âOf course, a test!â Iida spoke his hands pointed straight and stiff. âLeave it to U.A. to test our judgment as class presidents to see how well we know our fellow classmates. I will value your input greatly,â he spoke to Momo, Kendou and the other class B rep.
âThis is not just about who you get along with. Conflict can be a good thing. Remember your exams and how some were paired up for more than quirks that compliment each other. People are more than their quirks. My one rule is that you cannot pick for yourself. Trust your fellow classmates. You have one hour, that is all.â Aizawa said swiftly turning away from them.
âYes, sir!â the four replied as he exited shutting the door behind him.
How were they supposed to make these kinds of decisions?! Momo had analyzed her classmates sure, but it wasnât like she had in depth notes. That was more Midoriyaâs thing. Were they allowed to ask him for his notes? No, they could do this. Couldnât they? She sure hoped so. The last thing she wanted to do was steer things in the wrong direction.
âYaoyorozu-san, are you alright? You seem tense.â Iida stated. âAh I see, youâre worried. No need! I have full faith in our ability to live up to this task!â His expression never once faltering from its serious state. Â
Kendou gave her an encouraging smile, âYeah, weâve totally got this. What do you think we should do first?â she asked.
âMaybe make a list of everyoneâs quirks and then think about their personalities?â Momo suggested. An hour just didnât seem like enough time to make this decision. This was a week with this person and one wrong choice could result in someone not getting the full benefit of this trip. That was a lot of pressure-- these were decisions teachers normally made for them. But she supposed that was the point.
âThatâs a great idea!â Iida spoke and began writing. He quickly jotted down the quirks of everyone in their class and slid the paper to Kendou to write down everyone in her class. At the very least it was a starting point. Â
âAnd I donât think we should pair anyone together who was already paired together for final exams,â Kendou added as she slid the paper back to Iida.
âAh, yes, very perceptive! They would probably be disappointed if we reselected their former picks. We should get to work. We have fifty minutes left.â Iida stated as he looked over the list before him.
The hour passed by a lot quicker than they thought it would. They had agreed to pair each other first and then leave it a surprise until the end. From the four names crossed off she knew who her potential partners could be, but she didnât expect what she read on the paper. She scanned over it one more time to make sure her eyes werenât playing tricks on her.
Class 1-A and 1-B Partners List:
Denki Kaminari and Kyoka Jirou
Eijiro Kirishima and Izuku Midoriya
Fumikage Tokoyami and Shouto Todoroki
Hanta Sero and Yosetsu Awase
Katsuki Bakugo and Momo Yaoyorozu
Koji Kouda and Pony Tsunotori
Mashirao Ojirou and Ibara Shiozaki
Mezo Shouji and Neriengeki Shouda
Mina Ashido and Tsuyu Asui
Minoru Mineta and Manga Fukidashi
Rikido Satou and Kinoko Komori
Tenya Iida and Ochako Uraraka
Toru Hagakure and Hiryu Rin
Yuga Aoyama and Jurota Shishida
Itsuka Kendou and Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu
Monoma Neito and Juzo Honenuki
Kojiro Bondo and Kosei Tsuburaba  Â
Reiko Yanagi and Sen Kaibara Â
Setsuna Tokage and Shihai Kuroiro  Â
Togaru Kamakiri and Yui Kodai
Nope. She had not read it wrong at all. Although she supposed it could be much worse. It could be Mineta she was paired with. She shuddered at the thought. She knew that she was supposed to trust them, but she was curious as to why they would pair them together. However, she didnât get a chance to even bring it up.
âTimeâs up, hand me the list.â their Sensei spoke. His expression stayed straight aside from the smallest curve of his lip. But if you were to blink you would completely miss it. âGet to the common area with the others. You have a big day tomorrow.â He cleared his throat, âSpend tonight setting a good example for your classmates. There will be festivities for some reason,â he shrugged. âUse that time to bond with your partner.â
âYes, sir!â
The fire crackled as students sat around it attempting to stay warm. Momo had created scarves for everyone to help. She had one left that she had yet to deliver to her partner. He wasnât usually so receiving or even social for that matter. He was sitting off to the side by himself and he didnât exactly look thrilled to be there. Momo wondered if that was an act. Couldnât he simply have just gone to bed by now?
âItâs getting late! I know I cannot speak for class1-B! But we should all turn in by 10:30 class 1-A! So we can assure proper rest and be good partners tomorrow.â Iida announced into a megaphone that echoed loudly.
âWhere did he get a megaphone?â Jirou griped rubbing her ears. They were sensitive to sound and it didnât help that Iida had been standing right near them. âCut it with that,â she sniped at him.
âOh, my apologies!â he yelled into the megaphone. He quickly released it realizing he had done it again.
âHe puts my teeth on edge,â Jirou grumbled.
âMore than Kaminari?â Ashido teased, nudging her gently. âNo,â she shot back quickly. âThatâs different, heâs entertaining because heâs so stupid.â she snickered.
âUh huh,â A coy smile on the pink girlâs lips.
âWhat is that look for?â Jirou asked eyes narrowed.
âNothinâ- I just think itâs cute.â she giggled. âDonât you think so, Yao-momo?â
âWha?â she asked being pulled from her thoughts once more.
âIt is not cute. Heâs gross,â Jirou grumbled standing up. âIâm going to bed. Are you coming?â she asked Momo.
Iida was right, it would be wise to get rest, but she also had yet to approach Bakugou. She held the scarf in her hands bunching the material between her fingers. âIâll be up soon,â she spoke softly as she stood.
She could only hope this conversation would go well. It wasnât like he was known for being a conversationalist of any sort. The only person who could seem to talk to him was Kirishima. Should she stop to ask him for tips? It only made sense to learn about him as much as possible. Similar to her quirk it would help if she had prior information. She scanned the crowd for them but found him laughing with Midoriya and some others. Maybe she shouldnât bother him with her questions. She could figure it out for herself.
His back was turned as he sat on a log overlooking the view.
âBakugou-san?â she cleared her throat.
He turned toward her. A pause.
âWhat do you fucking want, Ponytail?â he asked.
So vulgar.
Momo cringed at such harsh language and held out the scarf to him. Her cheeks were bright red and hands were now trembling. Why was she trembling? It wasnât like she was afraid of him. She had called him out in their first battle at school. And she knew him long enough to know his bark was much worse than his bite.
She supposed it was just her nerves of talking to him one on one, but even looking at him now-- he wasnât scary. He was difficult sure, but not scary.
âWhy are you giving me this?â he asked, voice gruff. âIâm not fucking cold.â
âBut your hands,â she trailed now noticing that his were trembling too.
âIâm fucking fine!â he growled but grabbed the scarf from her anyway. âSee you tomorrow, Ponytail. Donât be late.â
âI would never be late!â Momo gasped, offended. Her hand colliding with her chest in shock.
Bakugou just smirked as he walked away from her. Maybe being paired with her wouldnât be the worst thing that ever happened to him. At the very least he could mess with her a little and she wouldnât slack off on any of their work. Yeah, he could work with her.
It was late afternoon the next day when they were told they were dismissed. It had been an extremely challenging day. They had to work an obstacle course, had to trust their partner to guide them through a maze blindfolded-- Bakugou blew up three of them. He was lucky Yaoyorozu could recreate them or they could have failed. By the third one, she had scolded him and said he needed to put some type of faith in her.
Her mind was still replaying the moment-- he had never said something so honest in front of her before. Maybe these exercises were put together to push them in more ways than one.
âI hate not having control, alright? Itâs fucking terrifying. I need to see where Iâm going, what target Iâm aiming at-- I donât do teams.â
And Momo understood that completely, before U.A. she hadnât met anyone as skilled as herself, at least not anyone her age. She expected to, of course, she wasnât naive, but it still could wear on a person's confidence. Even someone who seemed indestructible like Bakugou. He was just as terrified as the rest of them so much so that he isolated himself to keep a laser focus. Part of her always suspected this was why, but it was nice to gain confirmation from him.
âWell, for this exercise, Iâm your eyes. So let me do my job.â
âWhatever.â He mumbled clearly regretting being so vulnerable.
She handed him a bottle of water as they sat there together trying to catch their breath. âHere, you should probably hydrate.â
He smirked, looking away from her to hold back a chuckle. It wasnât really like him to hold back laughter when it came at the expense of someone else.
âWhat?â she asked him growing self-conscious in the process.
âYouâre like a fucking, mom.â
Momo was taken back by this. She just liked to be prepared and water was essential to helping them stay on top of their game. How did that make her like a mother? She cared about their well being and wanted to do well? Didnât he also want to do well?Â
 âPerhaps Iâm just very prepared.â
âLike a mom.â He reiterated and she furrowed her eyebrows.
âDoes that upset you?â he asked her.
âNo.â
âGood.â
âWha?â she asked him, eyes wide. Â
âSomething should fucking upset you-- youâre too agreeable.â
And then he left her standing there again, dumbfounded. Why did he keep doing that?! And did he have to swear so much? He was so-- well he was so uncouth.
The rest of the week went by quickly. Each day provided new challenges and sometimes they would have to work with not only their partner but other teams. Each night they went to bed exhausted, dragging their half dead bodies into the comfort of their temporary beds.
She could even say that she understood why Midoriya admired him so much. No one was unaware that Bakugou was powerful or talented, but there was much more to him than that. He had come quite a long way from that guy she analyzed in their first test. He listened more, he never made her feel weak, and eventually, he seemed to rely on her too.
It was like they were an actual team and when Momo was working with him she felt a boost to her own confidence. It made her feel like anything that he could do she was somehow capable of doing it too. And strangely enough, when she hesitated he didn't yell at her. His voice could get gruff, but that was just how he spoke.
âKeep going, Ponytail. Try. again.â
âStop thinking about it-- trust your damn gut.â Â
And yes, maybe he pushed her buttons too, but she caught on quickly that it was just because he liked seeing her get flustered. Which frankly was quite rude.
Now that the week was over she was almost saddened. She was sure that they would go back to their friend circles slightly intermingling but no longer speaking like before. Maybe Momo could keep her olive branch extended by offering for him to eat lunch with them sometime? No, he probably would just laugh at that âI donât want to eat lunch with your shitty friends.â And then she would be taken back by how vulgar he was and remind him those are his classmates. But he wouldnât care.
âSince youâve all done so well, surprisingly so-â Aizawa-sensei began.
âAw, come on, Aizawa-kun give them more credit. Theyâve worked hard!â All Might interrupted him. âBecause of that, we have decided you can have this last day off to rest! Or train in the gym if you like, but these are your leisure hours! We leave first thing in the morning tomorrow.â
It was rare for U.A. to ever cut them a break like this, but most of them could hardly move-- so maybe recovery was necessary for today. Momo knew exactly what it was she wanted to do after she got in a workout of course. She wouldnât completely slack off-- her studies were too important to her.
Two hours later Momo had her bag around her shoulder and began her small trek to a place of relaxation. They had stumbled upon an area with a quiet spring during one of their training exercises and she wanted to return there for the day. The fresh air was nice, the sun shining brightly making it a nice temperature for a fall day. The trees were shaded with different colored leaves and some already crunching under her feet as she walked.
As it came into a view she couldnât help the big smile that came over her face. It was a breathtaking sight. The water cascaded off the rocks and into the cool blue water. A few of the autumn leaves had blown in almost like drops of vibrant red, yellow, and orange paint swirling around. She found a spot under a shady tree placing her blanket down and getting comfortable. She reached into her bag pulling out a few snacks and a stack of books. She had some fresh blueberries, peeled orange slices, and walnuts to enjoy. Â
Their training had been so vigorous that Momo was too exhausted to read at night like she usually did. And she had earned it since she still trained today, right? Right. Maybe she should have stayed two extra hours. Three hours of training probably would have been better than the hour and a half she did today. Maybe she should go back or she could get more hours in this evening. Yes, that would work.
âI could smell your brain frying from a mile back,â a now very familiar gruff voice spoke. âWhat are you over thinking now?â he asked.
âBakugou-san?â her eyes wide.
âNothing,â she blushed cracking open her book and attempting to read. He only smirked which slightly infuriated her. Why was he always smirking at her like that?! She didnât see what was amusing. She was almost tempted to ask what he was doing here but decided against it.
He sat down next to her and an audible gasp escaped her as she peered over the top of her book. He turned to look at her and she quickly buried her face back into the pages. She reached for the container of her fruit holding it up to offer him some.
Bakugou had spent the better half of the morning working out and figured he might get in a few more hours later. Kirishima had tried to talk him into hanging out with everyone else-- and he almost considered it. Maybe if Ponytail girl was there he could annoy her or something-- hang out with Hair For Brains for a while. It could be worse.
Eventually, he decided that none of that was worth it. Solitude would be a much better use of his time. Everyone was so damn loud all the time and got on his nerves. He could just sit for a while by that dumb spring Yaoyorozu Ponytail found so interesting when they discovered it on Wednesday.
He hadnât been expecting her to actually be there. He thought for sure they would have all roped her into hanging out with them. But, at least she was a classmates company he could tolerate. Maybe even more than Kirishima because she didnât bother him as much. He liked that if he wanted to sit in silence she didnât really feel the need to say too much. What was the point in opening your mouth if you didnât have anything to fucking say?
He surprised himself by sitting right beside her, but she was sitting under the shadiest tree. Maybe he enjoyed her company more than he would ever admit. As she held up her fruit container there was a part of him that wanted to flip it out of her hands for being so nice to him. Why the fuck was she so nice? She didnât need to share her food with him and why didnât she yell at him for invading her space?
âI dont want any.â
âYou mean, no thank you, Yaoyorozu-chan,â she corrected, âOr Yao-Momo.â
âHey, I didnât swear doesnât that fucking count?â he asked balling up his fists. He was playing right into her trap. He could see the smirk rising up on her lips and he was almost proud? âHey! Donât you fucking smirk at me, Ponytail! Iâll fucking kill you right here.â His eyes were glowing and he could feel the small explosions firing off in his hands.
âNo you wonât,â she stated simply. âYouâre all talk Bakugou-san. Iâve got you figured out, you canât hide from me.â She brought the book back to her attention, popping a blueberry into her mouth and he was furious. His blood boiled and his breathing grew heavier because she was fucking right. He blamed Kirishima for making him weak and more sociable. He blamed her for being too damn nice and himself for growing used to her kindness. Â
He stood towering over her now. His eyes bright red, though Momo was secretly nervous she didnât show it. In one swift motion, he picked her up, tossing her book over to the wayside. âPut me down!â she yelled hitting his back. He didnât care though.Â
âDIE!â he screeched as he tossed her into the spring before him. That would show her that he wasnât all fucking talk. He stood at the edge on a rock watching as she swam up to the surface with his signature grin present on his lips. That would teach her to ever see him as anything less than a man of his word. He was not weak.
Momo was shocked the moment she hit the water, it was cold, but not as freezing as she would have expected. She was quick to rise to the surface and she was torn between crying and killing him. âBakugou-san!â she jumped up grabbing him by the wrist and pulling him in with her.Â
Normally she never would have done something like this, but she was angry. Here she was just trying to enjoy her day off and he had to come spoil it by throwing her in the spring. She held him under the water for a few seconds, surprised she was even able to do so. He wiggled out of her grip coming up from the water with a gasp.
But he was laughing? That was almost more terrifying than an angry Bakugou. It wasnât a smirk or even a chuckle-- he was actually laughing. Momoâs face grew red as she looked around to see what he could be finding so funny. âWhat are you laughing at?!â she asked him, panic present in her voice.
âYou make a great face when youâre pissed off. Your nose scrunches up and your eyes get fire in emâ. Itâs a good look on you.â he snorted climbing out of the water. He extended his hand back towards her. She expected him to pull some dirty trick like trying to push her back in and she would have clung on to take him back down with her-- but he didnât.
âItâs fucking cold, neither of us needs to get sick.â He grabbed the blanket off the floor and wrapped it around her shoulders without even thinking twice about it.
Momoâs eyes were wide with concern. Had the spring water cleansed the monster out of him or something? She had read something before about water having healing properties--or maybe this spring was somehow magical. Perhaps this was actually just what Bakugou was like under all of the armor he wore. No one could ever really figure out why Midoriya and Kirishima thought so highly of him. It was true that he was skilled and everyone in the class respected that-- but not many actually liked him. It could be that she was catching a glimpse of the hero that lived within.
She didnât mention his kindness, instead she just quietly thanked him. She turned away opening up her shirt under the blanket and made him a towel. She caught the red in his face as she turned back around and refrained from laughing. âFucking exhibitionist,â he muttered as he took the towel. Her face went red now, but with irritation. âIâm not! I was just making you a towel so you could keep-â she watched the grin and narrowed her eyes at him. Damn him, he got her again.
He laughed and without thinking about it she shoulder checked him. Her face went blank and her hand came up to cover her mouth. âBakugou-san, I apologize. I didnât mean-.â She could feel her cheeks were pink and her head was hanging in shame. That was not an appropriate way to react.
âYou donât need to fucking apologize, Ponytail. I told you, youâre too agreeable.â
They didnât see each other much the rest of the day. Just glances of one another and every time he would nod his head up towards her. She didnât exactly know what that meant. Was he saying hello? She understood the gesture-- but what did it mean when it came from someone like him? She supposed it didnât matter now.
They began their trek back to the bus early that morning as promised. Most of the class seemed to hardly be awake and it was certainly colder in the morning. Cold enough that they could see their breath. It was strange how quickly the weather had changed. Yesterday it was sunny and today was more of a traditional fall day with the gloomy weather.
Eventually, Momo found herself drifting to the back like she normally did. Her mind was consumed with different thoughts as she played over the past week. She never in a million year would have thought that she and Bakugou would make a good team. Nor would she ever think that they could get along personally. Â
She felt someone nudge into her shoulder and looked to see it was him. âGood morning, Bakugou-san.â she smiled. He rolled his eyes at her, but they kept at the same pace as they walked together. They didnât say very much, just a jab here or there-- but it seemed they both liked the company as they trailed behind their class.
When they loaded the bus for whatever reason Bakugou sat in the seat next to her.Â
âAh, good idea!â Iida chimed in noticing this. Â âWe should all sit with our pairings if they are on this bus with us!â his hand gestured swiftly. âThat way we can review how our weeks went!â
âI donât care what you do. Just let me nap,â Aizawa-sensei spoke.
The ride back to the school was long and Momo pulled her book out of her bag once more as she read. Bakugou had his eyes closed and every once in awhile he would glance over to see what she was reading. There was idle chit-chat on the bus and no one put much thought into them sitting together because of Iida. Not that Momo would have minded if they had, he sat next to her and she wasnât going to be rude and say he couldnât sit there. Besides, whether he liked it or not she considered him a friend.
âWhat are you reading?â a half sleepy Bakugou asked her.
She was caught off guard by this question, her cheeks a little red. Her mother only wanted her reading books that were educational, but sometimes she would sneak fiction. She found it fascinating and educational in its own way. Maybe it didnât help her with her quirk, but it gave her a better insight into the world of imagination and art.
âThe Boyfriend List, itâs kind of a romance, but real life novel. The girl is our age.â
âI bet itâs fucking stupid,â he chuckled and Momo kept a hard glare locked on him. He sat up straighter as he looked at her. âTell me about it,â he shrugged. She wondered why he cared, but no one could ever stop her from talking about her beloved books--especially if they asked.
She explained to him in full detail how this book was about an American girl named Ruby who suffers from panic attacks. Her whole life gets turned upside down after losing her boyfriend and all of her friends. Bakugou does his best not to laugh, but he canât help it. This book sounds stupid as hell to him, but even he has to admit that he likes to see her passion and her glaring looks when he makes a face. He even asked her to read to him and he has no idea why he does this, but she doesnât even hesitate. It made the time go by quicker on this dreaded bus ride and he even forgot about the cold for a while. Especially when she was glaring at him for his snide remarks.
He didnât even notice that he had gotten so relaxed that his coat fell open-- just enough to reveal what was tucked away underneath. He was wearing the scarf she had made. He caught the smile on her lips as she noticed it and glared at her. âItâs fucking cold, alright? Donât make a big deal about it.â he huffed pulling his coat tighter around him. Now it was Bakugou with the blush painted across his cheeks.
Momo looked at him sincerely and this made his blood run cold. He hadnât met anyone in his life nearly as sincere or as good natured as her. He even valued when she was brutally honest because it came from a genuine place. âI wasnât going to.â A smirk appeared on her lips and he knew he thought too fucking soon. âBut, Iâm glad you like it,â she grinned reaching over to pinch his cheek.
âYao-Momo, Iâm going to fucking kill you!â he screeched his hands balling into fists. Not only was everyone shocked, but Momo herself looked at him like she had seen a ghost.
âD-Di-Did you just call me Yao-Momo?â she asked not able to wipe the shock off of her face.
âYou fucking said I could. Do you have a problem with it?â he grumbled not liking that the bus was suddenly very quiet and that everyone was watching them.
âNo, I just think itâs shocking that you did. It looks good on you to be respectful,â she teased.
Little explosions were going off in his hands now as he grit his teeth. His face was as red as Kirishimaâs hair and Momo couldnât help but burst into laughter. It was the first time his swearing hadnât caught her completely off guard-- maybe she even welcomed it. For comedic purposes only.
âWhatâs up with those two?â Ashido asked Deku and Kirishima who were sitting behind them. Tsuyu watched them as well, âRibbit just seems like Bakugou being Bakugou to me.â
âNo, Ashido-san is right,â Midoriya spoke shaking his head. âThere is something different that wasnât there before.Kacchanâs being kind of nice to her--in his own way.â
Kirishima draped an arm over the back of the seat as he turned to look at the two. Bakugou was bright red, but they were both laughing now. It was the weirdest thing he had ever seen. He had only seen Bakugou get like that a few times and never publicly. It was almost like they werenât even on the bus with the rest of them. âMidoriya-san is right. There may be something that wasnât there before.â Â He paused as the four of them just quietly observed the pair. âItâs like theyâre actually friends.â

Biography:
The Komatsu family has always been the epitome of elegance in their town of Hiraizumi, Japan. Ancient Japanese culture and practices still run deep in the town to this day, with itâs agriculture based economy and plethora of historic monuments. At the age of eight, Hiro knew that the small town life would never accompany him as he visited Tokyo for a distant relativeâs wedding. The most people Hiro had ever seen in one place at one time were the 103 kids in his year gathered together for an assembly. It was safe to say that stepping off the train and into Tokyo city was unlike anything he had ever witnessed before. Since that day, Hiro was obsessed with the thought of leaving his town to go live somewhere new and exciting, preferably somewhere far away from the farmer filled town of Hiraizumi.
Hiro wasnât so much of a bad kid as he was a trouble maker. He was anything but neglected, but itâs safe to say his older brother Sho received the most attention from his family. With Shoâs stellar grades and a full ride scholarship for basketball to the University of Tokyo, Hiro couldnât help but be kept in his 6â˛5âł brotherâs shadow. While eighteen year old Sho was meeting up with the Prime Minister to be condemned for his amazing academic achievements, Hiro was being suspended from school, this time for stealing his teacherâs grade book and altering his friendâs grades. Hiro was stealthy, so if he wanted to get away with little things like that he could, itâs just that the chase was a lot more fun.
While Hiroâs father was born in Japan, his mother is from Philidelphia, Pennsylvania. She came to Japan to teach English and eventually met Minato Komatsu, and the rest was history. Though Hiro was aware of his family in the states, he never actually met them. With only a measly seven cousins residing in Japan, Hiroâs mother explained how she was one of eight, and thereâs over thirty other relatives from her side of the family heâs never met. It seemed as if his seventh suspension was the last straw from his parents, as the day he turned fourteen, Hiro was fresh princeâd all the way to Philly to stay with the grandparents he often forgot existed.
Philidelphia was incredibly different from Hiraizumi, but in every way Hiro had hoped it would be. The schools were bigger, people more diverse, and Hiro had learned to prefer the savory American food over the traditional Japanese dishes back home. Though his family feared the culture shock would take him by surprise, they could have never imagined heâd fit in so nicely. Hiro was initially only supposed to reside in Philly for a year, but he was doing so well that his parents decided to allow him to stay for however long he pleased. Although he was considered very smart back in Japan, here in Philly his intelligence was exceptional as he quickly became the top of his high school class. While his peers struggled with teenage angst during high school, Hiro had never felt better. Hiro had girls, boys, and pretty much everyone else he wanted at the tip of his fingers, because who wouldnât be attracted to the smart yet bad boy from Japan?
His bad behavior stopped in school, but that didnât prohibit Hiro from engaging in less than admirable activities behind his familyâs back. He became quite good at holding his alcohol as Hiro had a party almost every time his grandparents were out of town. If he wasnât hosting one, he was most certainly attending one. Starting the third week he entered America, Hiro went to a house party at least five times a month. Heâd get black out drunk or higher than heaven with his friends, something his family failed to realize until he was seventeen and headed home from what mustâve been his thousandth party. With only a visa, Hiro couldnât drive, so he was dependent on his buddies to bring him home from whatever they had been doing that night. Though he knew better, his friends didnât, and decided it would be a good idea to drive everyone home intoxicated. Paramedics arrived at the scene seven minutes after the crash to find the bottom half of the car 100 feet away from the scene of the accident, the tree the car hit completely toppled over, and no survivors except for Hiro whoâs legs were completely shattered and stuck between the passengerâs seat and dashboard.
Hiroâs left leg was able to be saved, but his right one was forced to be amputated below the knee as it was completely mutilated. While the rest of his body was practically untouched besides for a few wounds requiring sistches, Doctors didnât realize there was something else wrong with Hiro until four months after the accident during his last days in rehab. Due to the car stopping so fast while going such a high speed, Hiroâs upper body went right through the windowshield and into the tree which eventually toppled over the car. The impact caused parts of his skull to shatter and enter his frontal lobe, a problem that was presumed solved by an immediate surgery. However, that proved to not be the case once the frontal lobe damage became prominent in his behavior. The once charismatic and somewhat sweet boy quickly became a mix of all different personalities in one. Mood changes had become frequent, and the smallest things would now set Hiro off. His volatile behavior spontaneity had quickly become the main concern for those around him.
As he learned to live with his prosthetic and had been attending a therapist daily, now eighteen year old Hiro was sent home a total of five months after the accident. He finished his senior year by taking summer school classes and being tutored. It was harder to concentrate but still proved manageable as Hiro graduated with one of the highest GPAâs in high class. His family back in Japan flew over for a weekend as they had a party in celebration of this accomplishment, but it seemed as if everyone returned to their daily lives except for Hiro himself. He had plans to apply to some of the biggest colleges in the US for Computer Science, but the accident caused him to lost passion for most things in life. Instead, Hiro decided to take a gap year, getting a job at a local diner. Itâs surprising how many tips a crippled nineteen year old with a pretty smile can make.
Eventually Hiro started applying to colleges again. He was lucky enough to take the SATs during his Junior year a earn a near perfect score, but it was still difficult getting accepted almost two years after graduating high school, However it wasnât all for nothing as Hiro opened what he thought would be his fifth rejection letter only to find out that come fall, heâd proudly be a Yak. Though his battles are far from over, Hiro can proudly say heâs doing better. Weekly therapy sessions and time to himself has improved his behavior immensely, but there are times where heâs set off by some seemingly meaningless things. Thereâs still a long way to go, but for the first time in his life, Hiro can say heâs actually excited for the future.
State at least one headcanon about the character:
Ever since his accident, Hiro has refused to touch any alcoholic beverage. Although the crash wasnât his fault, he canât help but feel responsible for not doing something. Heâs been told all his life that coke and rum mix, but booze and driving do not. Hiro is terrified that for any instance if he were to consume alcohol again that history will somehow repeat itself.
Though most expect him to be a womanizer of sorts, Hiro has always identified as pansexual. Sure, heâs flirty with the ladies, but his interests are not influenced by gender identity. He constantly says how his love for another isnât with the body, but the mind. Hiro is unapologetically proud of his sexuality and greatly values the time it took for him to understand that being so is okay.
Japanese is his first language and he didnât learn English until age eight.
He has a strong dislike for all of social media except Instagram, where he constantly posts pictures of the most random things he can think of. If itâs artsy enough, Hiro will snap a photo and upload it in minutes. He does use other social media as well but only to keep up with his friends, as he rarely posts any of his own content on there.
Traditional Japanese instrumental is his favorite type of music to listen to, however he is also a big fan of Alternative rock and Grunge bands like Nirvana, Sublime, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The two contrasting genres are an accurate representation of Hiroâs personality.
If you were to tell high school Hiro that heâd be majoring in Philosophy, he probably wouldâve laughed in your face. Up until his accident, he was set in stone that heâd be majoring in something having to do with technology. However, in the past few years Hiro has been plagued with a constant question regarding everything: Why? Heâs always been interested in theory, and as his love for science dwindled, his passion for the study of ideas about almost everything rose.
He doesnât exactly know what job he wishes to pursue come graduation, so he presumes graduate school will be his next step.
