my tumblr wrapped 2024

okay so I’m doing this a tad bit late but I also didn’t intend on doing it until today so here goes…

I don’t have much of a tumblr wrapped this year bc I have been pretty absent for the last two years. I wasn’t actively working on any fics but I did release two big fics which I’m pretty proud of and I’ve still managed to keep some of my friendships on here which is what I actually wanted to highlight with this post <3

what I did want to use this post for, was to highlight how grateful I am for many of my moots and followers. I feel like a pretty awful person sometimes bc I don’t think I match the wonderful energy of so many people on here and I honestly feel like I can’t even call anyone a moot bc of it, so I really just want to say thanks to you all!

i could never be like him. i think this best sums up hakuno's thoughts about gepard -nodnod- and it sounds simple but there's quite a bit to it!! hakuno appreciates altruism and genuine kindness- which i think gepard absolutely has. what's interesting to me is that these qualities that hakuno admires are qualities she cannot see in herself. it definitely stems from her lowly view of herself and is tied to a lot of things that she's lacking, so there's a lot to unpack there tbh! but she does genuinely admire and respect him, that's for sure. in canon, hakuno's lack of connection to world is addressed and we get a pretty solid conclusion for it too! rather than the world itself, hakuno would think that people like gepard are what makes the world worth fighting for.

hakuno being so perceptive of others yet not understanding herself at all is a very important aspect of her character, and as her writer, i think that's what highlights this unique loneliness of her existence 🤠✌️ ! i mention this because i think hakuno would come to see that despite seeming so different, they do have something in common ..... but what really separates them in this aspect is that hakuno knows she's missing something, and she could never be like him, she could never ignore how she barely has anything in her to call her own- she can't, because otherwise, she'd really be nothing at all. i'll get 2 more of his in the point after this tho !!!

please don't lose sight of yourself. i yes yes YES i think she'd ask him about belobog 🥺 which parts to visit, which parts he likes, etc etc. she'd want to know the parts that he likes outside of his role as a captain and she'd want to understand his feelings for the city too.. because, again </3 those are feelings she doesn't understand at all. i imagine hakuno as a wanderer in any open world kind of setting, travelling to all sorts of places for no particular reason but i think subconsciously she's just trying to find a place where she'd belong. i'm 99% sure she will simply never end up finding a home (like in canon, she doesn't belong anywhere and ultimately does find a bittersweet sort of peace in that) but </3 maybe she'd have some hopes that she would find one in belobog too :,)

like what you said in the tags, they're polar opposites in this connection aspect, and i feel like hakuno would really want to understand it tbh. even though she could never be like him, there's a part of her that maybe wishes she could learn from him and find that connection she so desperately desires. on the other hand, as far as identity goes- oh boy she wouldn't want him to be anything like her. in a way, i think she's trying to help him escape before he could sink as far as her ...... I'M SCRATCHING MY WALLS ABT THIS ONE TBH it's mad interesting!!!! but yes pls i absolutely Need to have them explore this point 🙏🙏 AND ALL OF THEM TBH .

i don't particularly care for art, but... HOHO hakuno and anything artistic is fun because she's . not the best at it!!! which you can probably expect, given that hakuno struggles at expressing herself in general. she doesn't really care about it though (that's just how she is with most things, to be fair), but she wouldn't be against having lessons with gepard! if there's solid reason to refuse, hakuno would pretty much go long with anything (especially if she believe it to be what the other party wants) i feel like she would quite like it actually :] art's a good outlet for emotions and contrary to what others and herself may believe, she does em. she simply sucks at understanding or even perceiving them!

that's also why her art is so inconsistent methinks, they're very much affected by her feelings which she doesn't really understand. I LOVE THE IDEA OF THEM TAKING ART CLASSES 2GETHER BTW 🥺🫶 THAT'S SO CUTE hakuno would try so hard to be supportive because she does genuinely think geppie's efforts are very endearing but she'd kind flop at it (hakuno vc you draw ...... good) (<- either that or her going on an entire tangent just complimenting his color choice and how he captures the energy of his subject very well and)

as for herself, she doesn't have any hopes to improve as an artist or anything either, but i can imagine something like- just something impactful that made her feel an Emotion(TM) and although she couldn't put it to words, she managed to put her feelings into a canvas. like maybe a late night talk that went on for quite a bit, and when [insert thing here], hakuno felt moved in a way she couldn't quite understand ........... and thus made the most beautiful piece in her life 🤩🤩 !! also, it would be sooo obvious to see how much hakuno warms up to geppie just from seeing how she would draw him sgkfshfk she's a fool though she wouldn't even notice the correlation (hakuno vc i just drew what i saw in front of me.)

please allow me to help. hakuno's always trying to be useful (she feels that she has no right exist otherwise, you see </3) and do what is needed from others, so she would provide her assistance anytime and anywhere! i feel like if they got closer, this could be a good show of that 🥺 rather than helping out because that is what is needed, she'd feel a desire to help out because she'd want gepard to rest. she's a hypocrite though, so she'd absolutely try to do exactly that too! so maaaybe they'd (lightly) butt heads a lil bit on that, but it'd be nice if they both could learn how to rely on each other. in hakuno's case, she's a big advocate on cooperation and things like that, but ironically always tries to do everything on her own.

ALSO i just gotta say- someday hakuno is so gonna ask geppie for a fist bump. i also imagine it being a lil bit silly like- with the baymax fist bump that goes balalala~

also it'd be interesting to explore their different upbringings and motivations methinks!!! also also i think they're both extremely firm when it comes to their beliefs and ideals- they're both good-natured people too so it's easy to see them getting along, but i think a conflict because of circumstances wouldn't be out of the question 😳 ?! NEEDLESS 2 SAY- I HAVE A LOT OF THOUGHTS AHFKSJKCSKKCKD and i haven't even gotten into the juicy lore too egad-

YOU'VE GOT NO IDENTITY I'VE MADE WORK MY IDENTITY. oh man lynn you know i love exploring identity with you and i think again this would be another interesting combo. Because Gepard's identity is his surname and his position as Captain and outside of that it is focused mainly around roles (brother, son) so actually he isn't far off Hakuno when it comes to identity and I think it would be neat to unravel that.

YOU DON'T SEEM IN TUNE WITH ANYTHING AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SHUT OFF. again another area to explore but Hakuno's sense of disconnect compared to Gepard's need to be a part of everything to do with the safety of Belobog. To be the shield of his city. I imagine this would be a series of conversations to get to understand each other perhaps on late nights when Gepard has been haunted by nightmares and decided to walk it off. Becoming evening / night time conversationalists.

NEITHER OF US ARE ARTISTS SO LET'S PRACTICE TOGETHER. okay so I saw your hc about Hakuno being an inconsistent artist and its canon in game that Gepard did some interesting portraits (remind me to im you) so let them take an art class together and practice drawing i think it would be neat!!

I remember when we were talking about Hakuno and Achi that you said Hakuno was a good strategist so I present to you a Captain Gepard who has been working on a problem for a long time and not slept very much and got himself stressed and Hakuno offering ideas to help him ensure he covers all bases.
