#already supporting the supporters of the bill because of general callousness ignorance and the legal/financial protection it got them

The situation is actually slightly different.
Please feel free to skip this long disorganized text wall; it's kinda pedantic and mostly just a response of general frustration with recent events; italics are for stressing words to flow correctly, and not because I'm upset at anyone here.
Disney never donated to the bill. What they didn't do was withdraw general support of Florida republicans until employee and public outcry, which made them pause funding from political donations and oppose the bill, which made the republicans immediately start openly and illegally trying to punish Disney for their dissent and lack of financial support with legislation. People on this site were then unironically posting and praising the republicans for this, regardless of the fact that their actions did more to hurt the local population than Disney. People heard buzz words from the conservatives and immediately jumped to their side and are now doing their work because -- understandably -- we've been made to assume Disney is always going to make the wrong decision. However, this produces more reason why corporations shouldn't be progressive. 'Look! They actually hate Disney more for being progressive! When Disney does stuff like donate 100% of proceeds from Pride merch to LGBTQ+ charities or add in queer representation they do things like criticize and boycott them for it! Let's keep our heads down and avoid the subject!'
Yeah, it's shitty that corporations aren't better, but holding them to a nebulous standard of moral purity all-or-nothing and throwing out false information because conservatives want you to only furthers their agenda, not ours (y'know, the gay one) and small steps are leaps and bounds better than going backwards. It's frustrating. It sucks. But it's still better.
Disney ain't your friend. It never will be. But spreading misinformation is never going to be helpful. By all means please be critical and remember the awful things they did! Don't forget the fighting employees have done for their representation and rights! Always remember! But for God's sake don't spread conservative propaganda and lies! And if you can, try to more upset when they do something bad than when they do something good.
I don't want LGBTQ+ Disney employees to lose their freedoms or for audiences to lose chances to see real representation because of false claims and misaimed anger.
Tl:dr Disney never supported the Don't Say Gay bill and now explicitly opposes it. They did support the campaigns of bill backers before the bill got heavy attention, but have withdrawn that support and been illegally punished for doing so. That still wasn't good and you should still be super critical of future transgressions and lack of support from the Disney company, but don't spread false information or do the work of conservatives for them. Celebrate the one or two good things happening, condemn the bad, but don't make yourself angry or sad over something that isn't actually happening.
And send some love to the Disney employees that fight for rights and representation. We owe them a lot for winning what they have, and may they find immense victory going forward.
although this is a big step forward, please do not forget that Disney donated a large sum of money to the 'Dont Say Gay' Bill and how Disney treats all of its creators who are trying to add lgbt characters into their shows
