it’s actually kind of crazy how much better vegan ice cream has gotten in the past decade or so like in 2013 which was the same year i went vegetarian my family discovered my brother has an esophagus condition that made him very sensitive to dairy (and he was diagnosed with having poultry and shellfish allergies too) and my mom bought a bunch of soy milk as well as a bunch of dairy free ice cream which i ended up being the only one who would eat it bc well it wasn’t very good but i had started to have ideological issues with dairy and wanted to cut back on it. and now there are 100% vegan products on the market that are basically indistinguishable from dairy ice cream.
