Twenty five years shooting Stills for film? It seems hard to believe. My wife Susan was designing hair for film when I was shooting editorial and advertising, and suggested I shoot Stills, because it would be an opportunity to see more of each other! Well… we have only done five shows together in all that time! But it has been an amazing experience. Michael Gibson, still a brilliant Still Photographer, gave me a huge break by letting me take over a series called The Hoop Life so he could shoot a feature, and I went on from there. I have been blessed to shoot images throughout North America and even in Morocco, meeting and working with some of the most wonderful and fascinating people. I am very grateful, but I have no plans on retiring! So warm up that next twenty five year pin! I love being a photographer! Ponte Vecchio. The old bridge of Florence is a fascinating medieval construction, stretching across the River Arno at its most narrow point. Initially the shops on the bridge were occupied by butchers and fishmongers, who, being kept far away from the city for obvious reasons, would discard their smelly waste directly into the river.. These businesses were later relocated when the bridge became an important crossing for the Medici family, after their move to Palazzo Pitti.
