An Alphabetic Chamberlain Feathursday
We’ve been busy little busy-bees, and since we could not get to our usual Typography Tuesday post this week, we thought we’d do a little catch-up by combining letter forms and feathered beasts for a typographic #Feathursday!
Our portfolio of original, signed and numbered wood engravings by Sarah Chamberlain entitled Chamberlain Press 1980-1985 is just a little goldmine of possibilities These images were originally used in Chamberlain’s 1982 publication Alphabetarium: Wood Engravings produced in Portland, Oregon. Our limited edition of 25 copies is printed on individual sheets of Sekishu paper. Chamberlain’s Alphabetarium book, however, presented these wood engravings in a continuous accordion-fold that were hand colored in an edition of 150 copies enclosed in a silk-covered case with patterned endpapers.
