if anyone is curious basically pennys (the redhead) family owns a super wealthy ranch that originally made their money by gold mining- penny finds out she has a bastard half brother and the wrong people find out and he gets kidnapped and ransomed. pennys dad doesnt care so she enlists the help of the mysterious kit (an androgynous cowboy who is a person of very few words) to bring him home
