ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE = BIRTH OF THE OMEGAVERSE

Okay, crazy, I know. I got this idea a few years back while thinking up ideas for a MiSawa fic

You know that japanese media tend to mention the low birth rate in their country? I though the outbreak could happened because of an experiment for increase birthrates gone wrong. Originally, it was supposed to help them increase their birthrate but the formula was too volatile for the body that instead of allowing the patient to have children, it turned patient zero into a zombie instead

Its a lot to do with hormones right? So that volatile formula triggered the body out of whack, and patient zero rejected the change so badly that it detorated the body into a rabid zombie. Kinda like what a rut or heat can do but instead of copulation, it made the victims cannibalistic zombies

Then the outbreak happens

Eventually, one of the mains (Miyuki, in this case for that fic idea I had) would be able to fight against the decay and infection. Which in turn, allows what the experiment originally set out to do and change his body to turn him into the first Alpha. The first Omega would eventually be Sawamura (who is mutually in love with Miyuki) after he was willingly bitten by Miyuki. Their mutual feelings is one of the factors that allows Sawamura to change into the 1st Omega

In summary, Japan would eventually siphon a cure (and vaccine/antivirus for the survivors) from Miyuki and Sawamura's blood. Because of that, the population turn into a world of betas. However, over time the cure within the betas will either stay the same or change them into alpha or omega depending the suitability of their original biology like race, blood type, personality, topography and such

So...yeah, that's the gist of my idea

What I'm surprised with though is that I recently found a manga called 'Zombie Hide Sex'. Recent volumes has this kind of curious setup the other readers pointed out that the Zombie apocalypse could be the origin of the omegaverse for the story

And I'm like, huh!? Does that mean I'm not the only one who thought of this possible premise!? Awesome!

Because seriously, how awesome would that be!? 🤩

Anyways, while I'd love to write a MiSawa fic based on this (apparently not as crazy or rare) idea of mine, i think I'd like to write it for an UmeSaku fic

Won't lie, I'd love to see Umemiya as the original Alpha and Sakura as the original Omega

But honestly, I'd love to see more of this possible premise in other fandoms or for other ships too

I’m tired and realized something silly. So, while Ash’s Japanese name is Satoshi (and I imagine Gogo is either something like Sekiei or Seiran and Peach is obviously Momo), I realized that Alpha’s name would have been Boss (cause that’s what alpha pokemon were called, boss pokemon). So then the mental image of teeny Mews looking at their big brother and calling him “Oyabun” or, arguably cuter, “Bosu” in their chibi baby mew voices brings me great joy.

This was my first full NOAH show I've watched in forever and it was a great watch. They pulled in a great crowd of over 5K, it had very good matches up and down the card, two fantastic bouts, but unfortunately it ended with one of the worst matches you're likely to see all year...

Things started hot with the Jr. Tag Title 3-Way. You know what to expect here; lots of crazy spots, not much in the way of traditional "psychology", and 100mph action. The crowd loved this and it was a great way to kick things off. There was confusion over the elimination nature of this one, and had it ended after after the first fall, I think I'd have liked it more, but it was a great little opener with the GLG duo of YO-HEY and Tadasuke eliminating both opponents at 8:48 and 12:24 respectively to win the straps. Things cooled down a tad with the next match, which was decent enough but just your standard 6-Man, which saw the GLG were victorious again.

The next match was something of a Dream Match for me, one that's been teased for a good couple of years now as Ishii and Kitomiya, two of my favourite guys from their respective companies, had an absolute war that is a strong MOTYC only two days in! You know what to expect here, it was tsandard Ishii big match fair, which is always tremendous. They pounded each other with chops, Lariats, headbutts, forearms punches and suplexes for 15:04, before Ishii got the win with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster. Amazing. The next match too was excellent as Go Shiozaki went over ageless veteran Satoshi Kojima, in a battle of the Go-wan Lariats! This was great, and kept relatively short at 13:56. Shiozaki won after an exchange of Lariats. Go formed a new faction called Team NOAH in the post-match.

Next up we got a couple of interesting debuts. "The Great Muta's daughter" Great Sakuya (Riko Kawahata) debuted in a doubles clash which ended in a DQ after she blew the dreaded Dokukiri in poor Umesaki's face. This was very silly, and the crowd were dead for it, but whilst it certainly wasn't great, it certainly wasn't bad either. The next match was better as former MMA fighter Ulka Sasaki battled NOAH legend Takashi Sugiura in a nice little exhibition. Sasaki looked good here, and it featured some good sequences, before Sugiura naturally won at the 11 minute mark with the Olympic Yossen Slam.

After intermission we got the ZSJ/Ogawa vs. Tana/HAYATA tag match. This was really good, as you'd expect, though at nearly 18 minutes it was a little long. They teased a lot of stuff with Zack and Tanahashi for their TV Title match at the Dome tomorrow. Sabre Jr. won for his team when he submitted HAYATA with a crazy leg stretch. The GHC Jr. Title bout was decent enough, as Daga retained over Eita in exactly 13 minutes. I expected a bit more here, and it ultimatly came off as a bit of a squash as Daga dominated the whole thing, despite the crowd really wanting Eita to win. The 6 on 6 Elimationation match was actually a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it. Like everyone else, I'm at the end of my tether with this HoT stuff (and don't even get me started on Narita's inexplicably asinine inclusion in this nonsense), BUT, this match proves if done right, it can be pretty great. Obviously we got all the token House silliness like the never-ending stream of low blows, interference and incompetent refereeing, but it built really well as it boiled down to Kaito and EVIL, with Kiyomiya looking like a hero as he overcame the odds and sent EVIL to the floor with a Shining Wizard at the 26:14 mark to win for the babyfaces.

The first half of the Double Main Event; Kenoh's GHC Heavyweight Title defence against former tag partner Manabu Soya came next and it was another fantastic, hard-hitting war, and another early MOTYC. We all know Kenoh's great, and I've always been a fan of Soya since his All Japan days, but he's kind of lingered in the NOAH mid-card since arriving and gotten lost in the shuffle somewhat. Well this was a coming out party if ever there were one, both guys looked fantastic here, and I was worried someone was going to get legit KO'd at points, given how hard they were hitting each other. Kenoh missed a Moonsault knee drop by a considerable margin at the end there, but recovered well by devastating the big man with some headkicks and got the submission win at 28:36 with the Kenoh Special. Excellent, excellent match. Shiozaki came out in the post match and challenged Strong Fist to a title match, which will be happening on January 13th. Count me in as these two always have great matches together. And this is where I'd recommend everyone just turn this show off...

The Marufuji/Ibushi main event *sigh*... look I'm sure everyone already knows about this match, something that once upon a time was a dream match, but in the harsh realities of 2024, was an abject nightmare. This match was all kinds of bad, as Ibushi came into this thing banged up to oblivion and physically incapable of doing... anything, really. AND IT WENT 33:26!!! Which honestly felt like a good couple of hours watching live. Ibushi announced he was working through a broken hand and foot in the days prior, and when he made his entrance with tears streaming down his face, I feared the worst. The reality is this match shouldn't have happened, or if it did, have it go like 10 minutes maximum or something. And certainly don't have it be the main event! It was total insanity to book this to go north of 30 minutes. But even then, nobody made Ibushi try to do his signature spots in this thing. The guy couldn't even get himself up to go over the ropes on a backdrop, so what made him think attempting a Moonsault to the floor was a wise move? Well, he seemingly broke his ankle doing so, and the match only descended into more of a train wreck from there. The crowd were dead, almost like they were at a funeral, the "action" was a level lower than snail pace, and watching it was a profoundly sad experience. I never thought I'd see the day when the Keiji Muto of 2023 looked more mobile and having more business being in the ring than Kota Ibushi ever. Ibushi won with Kamigoye to put everyone out of their misery, none more so than the two guys in the match, then there was a totally bizarre post match where Kiyomiya and Jake Lee came out and seemingly banished Ibushi from NOAH. Ibushi could barely stand or walk on his way to the back, and this is a match I'll never watch again in my life. I had thought about giving this a DUD, but I couldn't be that harsh given the circumstances. Also, Marufuji did try his best out there, bless him. But the fact is Ibushi needs some time away from the ring to heal. I mean, this could be the end of his illustrious in-ring career, which is beyond heartbreaking, and he's looked a shadow of his former self since he returned to wrestling last Spring, but he wasn't even the same person out there on this show.

All in all, this was a great supershow from NOAH, marred slightly by a catastrophically bad main event, for obvious reasons. But I recommend everyone check it out up the fab Kenoh/Soya match, and just pretend the Ibushi/Maru match never happened.

Alpha!Miyuki who grows up learning not to depend on his secondary gender; mainly because it had coaches pity his stature/height, other teammates mock his lack of assertiveness and physical strength and teachers look the other way because 'that's just how alpha's are' during middle school. Growing to hate being seen as an alpha before a catcher and learning overtime to mask his presence. His scent, his instincts and that voice in the back of his mind. Taking medication to drive back or negate his heats completely.

Seidou is a better place but at that point he has these limits driven into his being and can't get himself to be comfortable enough around his new team. People think he's a beta or recessive alpha at best, and Miyuki planned to keep it that way.

Omega!Kuramochi grows up learning not to take any shit from nobody. Mainly from his mother who's subject to criticism for being a divorced, single omega mother herself. He learns early in life that conforming to stereotypes does nothing but hinder him and instead fights against it every chance he gets. Takes wrestling/self defense classes and doesn't hestiate to use it on anyone, alphas, betas or other omegas. If they try to pick on him, he beats them up. The adults around him had complained about his attitude ('no alpha would want such a rowdy omega!') But he doesn't let their comments get to him, because to Kuramochi, anyone who couldn't handle his personality to begin with wasn't worth the effort anyway. He's strong willed, doesn't care much about the preception others have of him as long as his friends are safe and doesn't shy away from his nature.

Seidou mellows him out a little, less fighting and more improving his fielding. Trying his best to not lag behind Ryosuke and meet the expectations the team has for him.

Miyuki bugs the hell out of Kuramochi. Mainly because he's an asshole who plays well to back up his jabs and Kuramochi doesn't have much to throw back without wrestling him to the ground. But also because he's an alpha, and seems to desperately try not to be. Kuramochi frankly doesn't get it. He can understand not throwing your scent all over the damn place. Not growling at the first instance of trouble. What he can't get is how subdued Miyuki tends to be at the first sign of trouble/tension. Instead of putting his foot down or using those instincts of his to be heard, Miyuki just stares in frustration, ungloved hand in a whitening fist until their senior decides he's had enough of the first year catcher and leaves. In a dorm full of teen boys, he smells like nothing. Safe for their bath soap and body spray. God it's downright freaky when he appears behind Kuramochi out of nowhere, no scent to warn him of the others presence until a too cold hand is jabbed into his nape and Kuramochi sees red.

But Kuramochi can't say anything. Because their not close and the longest conversation they'd held was more shit talking than anything else. If Miyuki wanted to live like that, who was he to interfere? Kuramochi had bigger things to worry about.

That is until they loose a match, just a few points shy from winning. Everyone else throws the blame on not having practiced enough. Not seizing any weaknesses they'd seen and earning back the points lost. Kuramochi know's better though. Knows they'd been doomed when their second year pitcher brushed off Miyuki at every timeout and was clearly not listening to his calls.

He doesn't say anything about. Not until they make it back and wash away the dirt and grime from a match lost. Not until they'd already eaten, which at that point he grabs Miyuki by the collar and drags him to the vending machines to give the stupid catcher a piece or his mind.

Except, something goes wrong. Kuramochi isn't sure when. Maybe somewhere between when Kuramochi calls him worthless for an alpha and Miyuki starts looking seconds away from ripping him a new one. But within seconds, he finds himself thrown against one of the machines, wrists held so tight it borders on painful and the scent of coffee ground and spice clouding all his senses. And in the midst if all this Miyuki looms close to him, eyes alight, jaw set and tenseness lining his form. It's the first time–Kuramochi realizes–he's been able to scent Miyuki, and it's overwhelming. Strong and potent as it surrounds him and demands attention.

"Should've done this in the first place dumbass–" is all he manages out before they crumble into one another, replacing glares and snipes with heated kisses and desperate touches. Miyuki takes like a man starved, holding Kuramochi tight to the point of bruising and giving him mere seconds to breathe before diving back for more. Kuramochi does his best to meet his pace, but its hard not to let Miyuki do as he wishes; mostly because it feels like a tidal wave. Held back for years and years before he decided to kick that dam down and face it. The sounds they make sound obscene to his ears, and if Kuramochi was any saner at the moment he'd feel embarrassed. Instead he plumets, his inner omega all too happy to hand out to what his teammates asks for.

It's a miracle no one catches them, so blatantly making out like animals by the vending machine right after dinner. And when Kuramochi gathers enough coherency, he pulls away (despite how disappointing it is to loose this addictive heat), muttering a quick 'not here' before dragging Miyuki by the arm towards the equipment shed.

It’s sad when a family turns into a tug-of-war between two parents and a child, but that’s what happened in the Grant family as Barbara Jean and Michael “Mike” Thomas Grant edged closer and closer to divorce while not admitting to themselves or others that that was what was happening,

Instead, they expressed their resentment for each other by trying to become the definitively demonstrably favorite parent of their fifteen-year-old daughter, Jennifer.

Mike was able to indulge her with almost anything she wanted to buy, even giving her a platinum credit card and a top-of-the-line Smartphone.

Barbara, however, was able to top this by, well, Mike had to admit, just knowing her better and being able to do “girl” stuff with her that Mike was clueless about. An open wallet was all well and good, but nothing was next to “knowing her.” Then, an opportunity presented itself to Mr. Grant.

Michael Grant was a senior engineer at Mega-Dyne Advanced Research and Development, where he was on a team doing the Alpha Testing on a unique but still very buggy quantum computer-connected super-phone they were calling Prototype 3422-Z. Mike, as an Alpha Testing Engineer, had one.

Although the 3422-Z was still in the testing stage, it seemed to be able to beam data directly into the human mind.

Mike saw an opportunity in Jennifer's recent development of a major interest in Japanese anime and manga, a subject that both he and his wife knew nothing about and that Mike just didn’t get. He planned that if he could use the 3422-Z to dive entirely into everything related to the subject, he would have a significant advantage over Barbara.

Taking himself to a local shop that sold both along with all sorts of related items that Google said was the largest in a three-state area, Mike found a quiet spot in the shop, fired up the 3422-Z and requested all information on Anime and Manga… wait no, he paused thinking better of it and then requested all information on Anime and Manga favored by young women.

Never having used the device in this mode, Mike was surprised when a beam of light shot out of the thing, hit him straight in the eyes and started up-loading to him.

Mike's world went away as his head was filled with information about characters, series, and stories, from Akimichi Chocho, Akira, and Attack on Titan to Banana Fish, Haikyuu, Motoko Kusanagi, and Yuri on Ice all the way to The Zeta Project and Zoe Orimoto.

It didn’t take long before Mike knew more about the subject than even the most die-hard-obsessed fan. By the end, he was even fluent in both speaking and reading Japanese.

Once it was done, Mike felt more than dizzy—he felt dizzy and, strangely enough, shorter and lighter. The reason was that the Super Quantum computer the 3422-Z was hooked to had a major bug that had not been worked out yet.

It could alter reality itself so that along with gaining all the new language skills and knowledge about female-themed Anime and Manga, it had also reinterpreted 44-year-old Michael “Mike” Thomas Grant into 23-year-old Japanese woman Miyuki Tomiko Grantamura. It had even restyled her clothing. And while internally she was still Mike Grant, Mike could also tell that she now knew thinks he had had no clue about, not just about Anime, but being a woman and Japanese culture.

“Oh, crap! This will be a doozy enplaning to Barbara, Jennifer, and Mega-Dyne Advanced Research and Development,” thought Miyuki.

“Well, Mega-Dyne will be easy; they’re used to this sort of thing… sort of, but the wife and daughter will take a lot more work. I mean, now Jennifer has two moms, and one is only eight years older than her!”

But before heading home to start the whole “Guess what?!” chore, Miyuki splurged and bought a massive pile of Anime and Manga.

“Whatever happens, this will put me way ahead of the game with Jennifer, " thought Miss Grantamura. Then we can go clothes shopping tomorrow where young chicks like to shop. Let's see Barbara beat me at that now!”

Rosetta is such a great physical tank. I pulled for her to build my physical team and she is so fun to play. Her JP VA is Miyuki Sawashiro which is already awesome, her story made me feel so bad for her because it was a "sins of the father" type of situation, and I find her design so cool like she looks more robotic than everyone else.

Our Lucia is Alpha's rival, but Rosetta's battle with Alpha made me think they were mirrors to each other. White-haired or whatever shade of grey Rosetta's hair is. Betrayed (Ravenge) or mistreated by humans (the ARU). Powerful constructs (Alpha acknowledges Rosetta's strength during their fight). Yet, despite the ARU branding her and the Forest Guard "sinners", Rosetta still chooses to fight for and protect them, whereas Alpha is with the Ascendants who... well, y'know.

Kazuya slides into the backseat of Kataoka's car alongside Sawamura. So far, no one has uttered a word, leaving them to sit in uncomfortable silence. Kataoka pulls away from the heat shelter and merges into the midday traffic. Movement from the corner of his eye draws his attention to Sawamura, who pulls his bag onto his lap and hugs it to his chest. His mortification was palpable in the way his face was aflame, eyes darting around the interior of the car, but never focusing on any of the other occupants. Kazuya himself can't help but smirk at the reaction. No doubt, Sawamura is finally realizing that Kataoka has a good idea of all that went down last night.

To be fair, anyone would under those circumstances. 

He debates for several minutes on whether he should poke fun, to see just how red Sawamura's face can get, yet ultimately decides against it; for now at least. Maybe in a week, he'll bring it up to remind Sawamura of this day. After the day he had yesterday, Kazuya figures Sawamura has earned some time with minimal amounts of teasing.
