« everyone did a good job. today was great. » soyeon said as they all entered the van after they changed into comfortable clothes.

soojin sighed and look out the window and soyeon face palmed as the oldests started bickering again, the alphas’ scents growing instantly to show dominance toward the other.

she turned around to face the youngests, giving them the softest smile.

« you both did good today. dont stay up all night again and get a good rest. »

the maknaes nodded quietly and smiled to their leader. soyeon smiled back and gave them a thumb up, turning her back to talk with soojin.

they both looked at each other and laughed quietly, remembering that night they stayed up in yuqi’s room, doing crazy things tired people do.

« she’s right, let’s really rest this time. » yuqi whispered.

shuhua responded with a soft sigh, bringing the omega closer to her shoulder for her to lay there.

yuqi didn’t fight back and relaxed on the alpha’s shoulder until they got home.

everyone got in their own room, except for the two maknaes who both went to yuqi’s room. well, it was more of shuhua following yuqi to her room.

quietly closing the door behind her, the taiwanese made sure to lock it before turning around, eyes meeting with yuqi’s surprised gaze.

« hey shu what’s up ? »

the younger didn’t answer. instead, she just walked toward the omega and hugged her, releasing a soothing scent as she pulled her as close as she could.

feeling relaxed in her embrace, the beijing girl placed her arms around the younger’s neck, inhaling the reassuring musk she was releasing.

as if it was possible, the alpha tightened her hold around the oldest as a light growl escaped her chest.

the omega’s ears perked up quickly, her instinct telling her something was up.

she was about to ask the younger about it, but she was quicker to talk.

yuqi frowned, not understanding what the alpha meant by that. she still walked toward her bed and laid on her back, keeping an eye on the younger in hope for explanations.

shuhua quickly followed her and topped her, kissing her neck and jaw aggressively as her hands roamed on the other’s body possessively.

« shuhu- » yuqi started but cut as the other reached for her lips. she quickly responded as the youngest’s musk accentuated, closing her eyes as the alpha kissed her hungrily.

shuhua pulled out and looked into yuqi’s eyes deeply, both panting from their earlier action.

oh my god.

at those words, yuqi felt a bunch of emotions hitting her in not even a second.

did she mean ‘i love you’ as she was her unnie ? was she just feeling overwhelmed by the situation and saying nonsense ? was she near her rut ? did she really love her ? she wanted to believe that last option, at least for this night.

« kiss me. » she instinctively said. the younger cracked a smile and leaned once again, kissing the omega, this time in a slower and loving pace, which earned a long and soft moan from the beijing girl.

« turn around. »

« but- »

« trust me, baby. »

the younger’s scent softened as she said those words, so did the omega’s.

that’s when she understood.

shuhua did have feelings for her.

smiling softly toward the taiwanese and dying internally, she did as she was told.

shuhua straddled the oldest just below her ass. first caressing yuqi’s behind, she then gently pressed the small of her back against the mattress, earning a groan from the older as she arched her back, a wave of euphoria rushing through her veins.

hands back on yuqi’s lower back, she pressed it once again, to which the older answered with a long groan again.

yuqi’s back arched even more. as shuhua bent forward once again to kiss then girl’s neck, the older felt the alpha’s bulge press against her ass. her stomach was going crazy over the thought of the younger touching her.

the omega’s ears perked down as she frowned, lifting her ass to get herself closer to the alpha’s core.

Minnie - Blood Sister

The Thai Sister Vampire is known for them to be the most protective and loyal out of all kingdoms. Nicha Yontararak but most call her Minnie, she is business-minded and knows how to make a good bargain and protect the interests of both parties. She is in charge of teaching and schooling the Neverlands clan's children good manners and basic knowledge. She always ensures that each of them understands the subject and will jump to help if needed. Nevertheless, she enjoys her duties as seeing the children's innocent smiles warms her cold heart and soul.

Seo Soojin - Blood Sister

Another blood sister of the Neverland clan, Seo Soojin is in charge of helping Yuqi scout for dangerous and endangered orphans in the streets and territory of Clan Neverland and helps wherever she can. She'll even take Miyeon's shifts of babysitting so she can take a break as Vampires have their mental and physical limits as well. But looks can be often deceiving... She may be elegant and beautiful but that would instantly turn the impression of a cold-blooded killer and knows how to make people disappear if they dare mess with the clan.

Song Yuqi - The Scout Vampire

Song Yuqi is the quickest of them all and thinks on her feet in tight situations. In the field, she often encounters dangers from Vampire Hunters and other rogue Vampires that may be lurking in her clan's territory and reports the danger to Lady Soyeon before taking action. Stealthy and quiet, there is an unlikely chance you'll even see her as she knows how to blend in with her environment and you won't see it coming if you are ambushed.

Yeh Shuhua - The Youngest Blood

Yeh Shuhua, is the youngest blood sister of the clan but she plays her part as much as her older sisters. However, there is more grunt work as she cleans and tends to the house chores, making sure their children do not cause trouble or any ruckuses in their home but she does it all with grace. What Lady Soyeon is most impressed with is her ability to quickly resolve conflict if their children fight for whatever reason it may be and be a formidable mother figure so their children may grow for a brighter future. But the youngest sisters are often the deadliest as they do not hold back against their enemies and will even finish them off whether or not they are unarmed.

There's a groan as Chris moves, his body far too big for the couch that he's laying on and a damp cloth is pressed to his forehead as he furrows his brows. He hadn't realised that a few days have passed since he came to check up on the omega and that with everything out of balance, his energy wasn't what it usually was so he had collapsed. Somehow, he managed to be moved from the front door to the living room and from the mess around him - Shuhua had spent some time taking care of him.

"Little one," he looks around and notices that out of all the wolves he's seen, she looks the best. Most barely are able to control themselves, some are in a lot of pain, disoriented but she seems... okay. "How are you feeling?"

She hums, wringing out the cloth and dabbing his cheeks and forehead to help cool him down. "I'm okay. There's some twinges of pain here and there but... I'm handling it."

Chris grabs her arm gently and holds it to his lips, pressing a kiss against the inside of her wrist as a way of thanks for her help. He's about to speak, to ask more about what's happened, if she's noticed anything but as if trying to pull his attention away - his phone rings. "It's rung a few times but you were asleep." Shuhua shyly hands the phone to him and he notices Irene's number, "I didn't want to answer it just in case..."

"Thank you," he says, knowing she wouldn't have wanted to expose herself or give away where she is just because they've been trying to find Chris for a couple of days. He didn't mean to disappear but it seemed like he needed time to recharge considering he hasn't really slept since this whole ordeal started. Answering the phone, he hears a bunch of commotion in the background of the call, "Irene?"

"Ah, there you are, darling. I was wondering when you'd answer the phone."

He clears his throat, only she could make him feel a little embarrassed by his exhaustion. "Sorry, I guess I had been more tired than I thought. Do you have news?"

"Fuck-"

"I'm sorry!!!"

"Is everything okay?" He asks when there's commotion in the background and whoever it is begins to argue.

Irene hums, taking a moment to sort it out and it sounds like she's scolding children before she comes back with her fiancé clearly grumbling into her neck from what Chris can hear. "Sorry, it's been a little tense in the house with the witches. Luna has been struggling to control her magic and with Chris'-" there's a low growl that stops her sentence, "well, he's not enjoying himself as you could probably guess." The wolf nods as if she can see him, understanding that Irene's partner is probably feeling a lot of discomfort since his usual resistance to magic has lessened dramatically.

Irene, while not a witch, has powers that only her partner seemed to resist and Chris wonders if he's now at her mercy because of it.

"Luna has found something. The witches have found a large surge of power coming from the mountains and it seems to be a consistent occurrence over the last few days. I thought that you'd want to let everyone know." There's a teasing tone behind her voice and Chris rolls his eyes as he sits up with a groan, Shuhua's hands reaching to help him but hesitating as if she's worried she's going to overstep his boundaries. "Chris and Luna are going to where all the wolves have been meeting to see who is willing to go-"

"I'll be there." The Alpha stands up, saying his goodbyes to Irene before hanging up, sighing as he looks down at the blank screen of his phone. "Thank you for your help, little one. Do you..." He looks at Shuhua, knowing she might say no but he feels compelled to ask anyway because he doesn't like the idea of her being alone with everything going on. "Come back with me and I can make sure you're looked after."

The omega's eyes widen and she shakes her head, clearly scared about the idea of doing so. "I-I'm okay, th-thank you, Mr Chris." She gets up suddenly and starts to clean up around her, nearly kicking over the bowl of water she has beside her. "You can go, please, go take care of what you need to."

Of course that's the reaction he had expected but to be kicked out so quickly - the Alpha feels a little dejected. "Ah- I'm sorry, little one, I'll head off and thank you again." He sighs, getting her to stop for a moment only so he can kiss her on the forehead before heading off. "I'll come back when I can, okay?"

Shuhua looks at him, still slightly frozen from the sudden kiss but nods automatically. It's not until Chris is almost out the door that she comes back to her senses and calls out to him. "Please be careful."

Chris stands at the front of the packs, other Alphas standing next to him as they break people off into teams. While the witches did find out one probable location for where the Moon Goddess is being held, they weren't going to take their chances and not investigate the others. Chris had made sure each team had strong hunters, fighters and a witch or two each; he didn't want to take any chances when it came to finding his mother so he volunteered to join the group going after the main location.

Once everyone is ready, they all say their wishes and head out, Chris leading his group towards the cars since they have a fair bit to travel. They couldn't afford to run the whole way, needing to preserve their energy for when they got to the mountain so travelling by car was the best option for them.

"Do you think we'll find her?" One of his betas asked, looking at the Alpha and noticing how tense he is as he drives, "what happens if-"

"No matter what we find, if it's them - we make them talk." Chris growls out, clenching the wheel tightly. He didn't want to think about the worst case scenario, he didn't want to think about how there's a chance that his mother is dead and they are lost until a new goddess is chosen. Chris refuses to even entertain the thought as he speeds through the streets, heading for the location Luna had given him.

"Chris?" The witch in the back speaks, sighing as he looks at the woman. "We need to be ready. If they are the ones who have the Moon Goddess, there will be a lot of them."

Humming, Chris knows, he knows that they need to be ready and he is. No matter what he has to do, he will get them to tell him where his mother is.

Not just for his sake but the sake of all the others as well.

He hadn't noticed, after everything that's been happening, he hadn't noticed just how much energy he had exerted, how little rest he's had, how his body was not what it would be in any other situation. Chris hadn't noticed that he had allowed himself to fall ill until he feels a damp cloth cooling his forehead and smells the soup nearby.

"Little one..." he says even though his voice sounds like it's been unused for days - or overused, maybe. "What are you still doing here?"

He notices Shuhua shift slightly on her knees as she tries to get more comfortable next to him on the couch. "You passed out and I was worried." She reaches for the cloth, looking a little concerned when she lifts it up and checks underneath it. "Have you been sleeping? Eating? Mr Chris, you need to take care of yourself..."

He chuckles at her concern, at her almost telling him off. He knows she's not meaning to, that she can't help it since it's only natural that she takes care of those around her but it still amuses him.

Chris remains a good patient, allowing Shuhua to feed him soup slowly, sometimes blowing on the spoon to make sure it isn't too hot. "You are good at this," he whispers and watches her face turn red. "I can't think of the last time someone has taken care of me."

It's a sad statement to make and she pauses, her hand hovering over the spoon as she looks at him but Chris shakes his head. It's clear that he doesn't want to talk about it, of course he wouldn't, he doesn't want to show weakness as an Alpha even if he's currently burning up hotter than he should and can barely move a muscle.

"Last one," Shuhua says softly as she helps him lift his head to take the last mouthful of soup and then stands up with the bowl. "I'll clean up, okay? You just rest, mmm, sleep if you need to."

The backyard area had been decorated with gold and pink accessories adorning every chair, table, and they were even attached to the fences. YN didn’t recognize most of the people there, seeming to be at least twenty belonging to Shuhua’s family. That put her slightly on edge, mainly because everyone that surrounded her were either alphas and betas. She was the only omega at the party and that didn’t bode well. Jungkook had yet to release his grasp on her which eased the nerves somewhat. YN looked everywhere, but couldn’t spot her sister or her fiance. YN had never met Shuhua face to face, but she had been friendly enough. Most people seemed to be friendly enough to YN. 

YN saw a brief flash of grey hair before being enveloped in a hug. “Oompf.” From the familiarity of his build and the lack of response from the alphas beside her, YN already deduced who it was. “Dad!” When he pulled away, YN got to see the crow’s feet beside his eyes ones therefrom having smiled so much in his youth. “I missed you, YN.” YN had missed him too. So much so that she embraced him again, thankful to have a brief moment with him. Once again they parted and her father’s attention shifted to the alphas on by her side. 

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, sir,” Namjoon spoke, his hand going forward. YN was surprised to see her father shake it with little reluctance. Seokjin and Hoseok also introduced themselves, though Jungkook stayed quiet by her side. Eventually, YN’s father did turn to the young alpha and his expression was that of mild irritation. 

“How do you do, son?”

“Fine, sir. Thank you for having us.”

“Yes, well. Whatever makes my daughter happy.”

YN wasn’t particularly happy, but it was not the appropriate time to voice such thoughts. Despite being a beta YN’s father always exuded a strong presence, likely because of the stereotype that betas didn’t have quick tempers. Her father’s wrath was comparable to hellfire, though she’d never witnessed it. YN hadn’t believed there could be other betas like him until she’d met her supposed mates. It was when Seokjin fingers brushed her’s that she realized, her father had said something.

“I’m sorry what?”

“Your sister is still in her room. Go up and bring her down, you know she takes forever.”

“Did you tell your family to behave?”

“Yes, babe. They’ll be good I promise.”

“I’m just worried. YN usually skips out on things like this because she’s embarrassed, but now she shows up and with four alphas nonetheless.”

“Is she like mated to all of them?”

“No, it’s a pack bond.”

“A pack bond? I didn’t know those still existed or that there were so many inside a pack.”

“Yup, they’re the Kims. It’s four alphas and three betas. My sister’s been mated to them since she was a teenager.”

“So why didn’t she bring them along then?”

“Cause they had a falling out or something. I don’t know YN has changed a lot since she presented. It’s like she’s a different person. She doesn’t talk to us anymore or me even. All she does is cash our parent’s checks to help pay her rent.”

“That isn’t right. Why haven’t you guys said something?”

“Because it’s tough being an omega. Especially when you weren’t prepared to be one, plus I’m sure the mating bond was an accident but that they’re just stringing her along. Why would they need an omega?”

“I don’t think they’d do that Soyeon. That isn’t how pack bonds work…”

YN bit her lip and wiped her tears away, she pinched the bridge of her nose to try and prevent more tears from coming out. Leaning away from her sister’s bedroom door, YN walked further down the hall towards her childhood bedroom. Needing some peace and quiet before being forced to face people who clearly didn’t want her to be there. Her hand landed on the doorknob and turned it, only for the shock to go up to her spine. The last time YN had visited her family home had been last year and she had stayed in a hotel, just like this time, because there hadn’t been enough room for all the family members. Or at least that is what her parents had told her. Now YN could see the real reason they didn’t want her there.

Her bedroom was gone. The walls painted over in a generic eggshell white with the full-size bed’s lavender bed sheets being replaced by sky blue ones. Gone was the cherry wood furniture in its placed cheap knock offs that were white. It looked like an average guest room and not the room YN had spent eighteen years of her life in. Taking a deep breath she walked in and noted how hollow it felt. Like something out of a pottery barn magazine, instead of home. She could barely hold back her sobs. 

The clearing of a throat caused her to turn around with a fright. In front of her stood a much older man, alpha by his scent, YN didn’t recognize him so he must’ve been part of Shuhua’s family. 

“What are you doing in my daughter’s room?” There was a roughness to his voice that made his words sound more like growls. There was also the disdain in his eyes when he looked at YN like she was inferior.

“Sorry, this was my bedroom before.” YN tried to hide the emotion in her voice but knew it was useless. 

“Ah, so you’re the omega.” His mouth opened wide in mockery and YN was honestly sick of it. 

“Yes, now if you’ll excuse me.” YN went to sidestep, but Shuhua’s father darted his arm out, blocking her path. 

YN glared up at him but saw a morbid fascination in the man’s eyes that sent chills down her spine.

“YN?” When she peered up, Hoseok was standing in the hallway. Eyebrows furrowed and staring intensely at Shuhua’s father. Hoseok held out his hand, beckoning her, it took all her strength not to purposely knock into the alpha blocking her way. Instead, she went around his arm and walked towards Hoseok taking the latter’s hand. YN smiled reassuringly at him though she wasn’t sure it was convincing. As they went to walk away, the Shuhua’s father snickered.

“Be sure to keep that one on a leash.”

YN had to physically pull Hoseok down the stairs to prevent him from plowing her future sister-in-law’s dad’s face.

Seokjin lifted the red cup to his lips, his eyes darting curiously between YN and Hoseok. “What happened?” YN shook her head not wanting to start conflict, but Hoseok clearly didn’t care. “Some old school alpha tried to start shit.” Namjoon shifted in his seat crossing one leg over the other. “Who?” 

“Noone,” YN said, looking at Hoseok disapprovingly. He simply shrugged and went back to scrolling on his phone. 

Namjoon and Seokjin shared a look and YN knew this wasn’t something they’d let go of easily. So she switched tactics focusing her attention on Jungkook who looked more and more uncomfortable by the second. “Are you okay?” At this, the young alpha straightened up a forced smile on his lips. “I’m fine. It’s just like Hobi-hyung said, they’re a lot of old schools here.” What’s that supposed to mean? YN knew what that statement meant when it applied to her, but she was unsure of what that meant to the men. YN glanced around realizing that some of the party’s inhabitants were openly gawking at them.

“Don’t worry,” Seokjin spoke, staring pitifully at his drink. “It happens all the time.” Despite that YN could see how Namjoon’s jaw was locked and how his scent had spiked up, indicating his anger. Not being able to take any of it anymore, YN simply spoke knowing the men would follow whatever she wanted.

“I want to go home.”

Unfortunately, it seemed escape wasn’t possible as YN’s mother wasn’t hearing it. “Did something happen?” She asked as she minded over the barbecue. YN bounced a bit on her feet anxious to get going. “There’s been an emergency at home and we have to get going.” It was a lame excuse, but hopefully, her mother wouldn’t ask for too much information. It seems that wasn’t going to be the case. “Why can’t three of them go and one of them stay?” It might seem like a casual suggestion, but it was the tone in which YN’s mother said it. The way her eyes didn’t stray from the meat and shrug appeared too forced. 

So, YN did the only thing she thought to and baited her mother. “Do you have a problem with there being four alphas here?” She knew her contempt would surely be felt, but she was exhausted of walking on eggshells.

“What? No. Of course not.” 

Now that was a lie. “I thought you wanted me to become mated. That way I could stop relying on you.” YN’s words though sharp were barely above a whisper, as she started to feel there were ears as well as eyes on the conversation.

Her mother rolled her eyes, “I don’t understand why you’re so worried about money. Your father and I knew from the moment you presented-” It had been a slip of the tongue, she knew from the way her mother’s eyes widened. It didn’t make it hurt any less, if anything it stung more, far more than her sister’s words had. 

“From the moment I presented? That you would have to maintain me? That I wouldn’t be able to find a mate? Why, because I’m omega?!” YN hadn’t realized how much she had raised her voice, but she didn’t care. If it truly was what everyone was thinking, she would prefer they be open and honest instead of playing her for a fool.

Instantly someone gripped her wrist and tugged her harshly, so hard that YN felt like a ragdoll being pulled. When she turned YN was greeted with the anger-written face of Shuhua’s father. “That is no way to speak to your mother young lady. You lot think you’re so special and deserving. Think you get to do whatever you want because you feel oppressed.” The man was livid, but YN could tell it wasn’t at her. No, it was at her sub-gender. In the background, YN could hear the commotion as people screamed at him to let her go, but he continued his verbal assault bringing her to tears. 

“It’s no wonder your family barely speaks of you. You’re a disgrace. They spend so much time and money on you just for you to spit in their face.” Her pheromones were acting up. Projecting fear and though YN was vaguely aware of hands trying to pry her away, his grip was death-like.

“Just because you are on omega doesn’t give you the liberty to be a whore.”

YN was sure he would’ve continued his rampage if it weren’t for punch delivered straight to his face. It was so strong that it knocked the man out, his body flying to the ground in its wake knocking over a table, plates, decorations, and chairs. YN knew from the scent who it was, but she had reverted to a shell of herself. Though a part of her was aware that everything the man said came were lies - another part of her, and she hadn’t known how large it was until that moment, believed him.

YN looked up and saw her sister horrified as well as Shuhua as everyone flocked inside to escape the pheromones that could potentially trigger more violence. Finally, YN glanced and saw Hoseok pounding into Shuhua’s father’s face with what can only be described as sadistic glee. Blood was leaking from every orifice of the man’s face and if he wasn’t dead already - he would be soon.

“That’s enough Hoseok.” Seokjin grabbed the man by his collar pulling him up. YN couldn’t even stand to look at any of them, eyes wandering around. Tears streamed endlessly down her face though YN wasn’t even aware they were falling until Jungkook looked at her with concern. The sun had begun to set and she was aware of how much the landscape had changed since this morning.

Decorations lay thrashed on the floor as several tables and chairs were flipped over in the tumult. YN couldn’t see much through her bleary tears, but she could see the bloodstain. Drying on the freshly cut grass while its rusty odor invaded all of YN’s senses. She was aware of the echoes and shouts around her, but YN couldn’t react to them. Not until she felt warm arms wrapping around her figure, the woody scent alerting her to who it was. “Let’s go home, baby.” YN wasn’t sure whether she nodded or not, but she was dragged away nonetheless towards the six other men waiting for her.    

I called them,” Namjoon answered her thoughts, but YN wasn’t too concerned. Despite, her wondering how the men had managed to get there so quickly. She was faintly aware of getting into a car, being placed on someone’s lap, and the sweet sounds of humming near her ears. “It’s okay, YN. Everything is okay now. You’re safe.” So it was Jimin she was sitting on. That’s why her nose didn’t burn. She remembered Soyeon’s words, her mother’s shocked expression, and the face of the disgusting man being pounded into by one of her mates. “Shhh, baby. It’s okay. You’re safe now. No one’s ever going to hurt you again.”

YN didn’t know if she believed that, but she turned towards Jimin nonetheless allowing him to cradle her, while she cried into his chest. All seven of them exchanged a look and the briefest nod of Yoongi let Namjoon know everything was as he hoped.

    “The tiger lily is also known as a symbol of honor and riches and some cultures around the world consider it a symbol of love and kindness.”

          “What the fuck are they doing here?!”

           “Soyeon, please calm down.”

           It took a lot for her to calm her older sister down, as YN pushed her away from the perplexed alphas. Once YN had managed to guide her sister towards the other side of the car, she seemed to have calmed down, or at least that’s what YN thought before her sister directed her anger towards her. “What the fuck, YN. Why would you bring them here? Are they your mates? Did they force you to do this? Do you need help?” YN placed her hands over Soyeon’s mouth, muffling any other questions she might have.

         “Please calm down, I can’t answer everything at once.” Her sister wasn’t the confrontational type, but she hadn’t been there when the incident occurred. Despite being only a year older, Soyeon had decided to study abroad. Something that YN had once overheard her saying she regretted. “Alright, I’m calm. So it’s official then, you completed the mating bond?” YN wasn’t sure how to answer, wasn’t sure how much of the truth her sister knew. There were at least three different versions of what had occurred: what YN had said, what the police had said, and the truth. Which version YN told depended on how much self-loathing she carried within her.

         "Legally, yeah. It's official." She wouldn't elaborate on it, let people interpret it the way they want. When YN saw the relief that flashed on Soyeon's face, she felt a small part of her die. "Oh, thank god. I was worried that you were going to show up alone again. That's why I asked to meet you here, I wanted to mentally prepare you for Shuhua's family." So much for what her mother had said on the phone. It was good that Soyeon had found a mate - especially a female alpha considering how strange they were. "I'm happy for you." The smile on her face was forced, but that didn't mean the words were any less true. YN was genuinely happy for her sister.

         “Oh, I’m sorry about how I reacted.”

         YN turned her head to see Jungkook and Seokjin peering, the latter smiled. “Don’t worry. We understand.”

         Soyeon nodded, “I can get a bit protective over my little sister.” The head rub Soyeon gave YN was a bit unnecessary but her scowl gave everyone a laugh, so she opted not to bring it up. Soyeon dusted off her jeans, despite there being no dust on them, “Well. I’ll see you at home tomorrow then.” Her attention returning to the alphas. “It was nice to see you again. Seriously, if you hurt my sister again I’ll kick your assess.”

       The hotel room they rented had two rooms and a sofa bed, despite YN insistence that she could take the latter they had all refused. Pushing her into the smaller of two rooms, whilst they all shared the master. Truthfully YN didn’t understand how they all managed to sleep together without waking up hot sweaty messes or maybe they didn’t mind. They’re probably used to being hot around each other. Once she dwelled on it a little more, a sudden flash of embarrassment took her over and she opted to think of something else.

       The common area of the hotel room had a balcony where YN was currently sitting. She didn’t know what the others were up to but enjoyed being alone for a while. It gave her a chance to mentally prepare for the onslaught of questions she would have to face tomorrow. The sound of the glass door sliding open, distracted her as she peered to Jungkook stepping out. YN had to steady her racing heart, though she was sure the Alpha had heard it already considering his tense stance. Never the one to leave any space between them, Jungkook strode towards the patio chairs sitting on the one right next to her. There was a frown between his full brows and his rounded eyes looked more sunken in than usual.

         “Is everything okay?” YN asked cautiously, unsure that it was the right move. Maybe she should have ignored him until he spoke first.

         "Does your family not know?" It was phrased as more of a statement than a question, but that didn't matter. YN swallowed thickly, she should've realized they would be quick to catch on. When weren't they? "They know what they need to." At this, the frown between Jungkook's brows deepened. His body was tilted so that it faced YN's entirely, while hers was facing forward. "What is that supposed to mean?!" His hands gripped hers, forcing her to look into his eyes. He looked angry and that put YN on edge, unsure of how he would react. Jungkook must've seen the fear in her eyes, for the next time he spoke the words were spoken in a softer tone.

          “Your family picked you up from the station. The police spoke to them, didn’t they?” YN didn’t answer, so he continued. “Your mother has always kept in contact, but I just assumed she was very forgiving and knew about the pack bond.” YN shook her head, keeping her eyes forward and wide, afraid to blink for that might release the unshed tears.

         “My mom- my family doesn’t know about the pack bond.”

         “So, then…”

          It took YN all her might to not stutter or let out a sob. She had been holding so much in for years and now she was about to break at the hands of the one who started it all. No, I played a part in it too. “I told my parents we were dating and that I asked you to mark me in the heat of the moment.” Jungkook stilled, YN wasn’t sure she could even pick up on him breathing. It was after a few tense moments that Jungkook intertwined his hands in hers, YN didn’t have the strength to fight back. “Why would you do that?” The words were barely above a whisper, but they were enough to shatter YN.

        Sobs wracked through her body and she knew it was only a matter of time before the other alphas made their way outside. “What else was I supposed to do? Admit the truth? Do you know how bad that would look? I was a newly presented Omega and I’d jumped into bed with someone I barely knew. Enough rumors were already going around. Do you know how people look at me because of the bite mark?! Like I’m some kind of whore. I made a mistake, we made a mistake, and it was a lot easier to say it was that than admit the truth to my family.”

         “YN, don’t say that. It doesn’t matter what people think -”

         “Do you know I saw the disappointment in my father’s eyes the day I presented. I wasn’t even supposed to stay after school that day, but I did because I couldn’t stand to be at home.” She took a deep breath, using the back of her sleeve to wipe at her face. “If I had just faced the truth-”

        “Don’t fucking say that.” Jungkook interrupted her, he was yelling now but YN could see the tears of frustration in his eyes. “What happened was a mistake. I should’ve controlled myself better, I shouldn’t have let my instincts take over and bitten you.” Jungkook brought her hands up peppering small kisses along the knuckles, “Lily, I should’ve told you when we saw each other that I felt the bond. I was just so overwhelmed, I thought it was my rut, I didn’t even realize what had happened.”

        YN shook her head again, “Jungkook, what kind of a person jumps into bed with some she barely knows because of her heat. Much less when she knows he’s mated.”

        Before YN could even continue Jungkook got down on his knees in front of her, tears now streaming down his face. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." The pheromones Jungkook was releasing were ones riddled with stress and anxiety. At that moment, YN ceased to see him as the perpetrator of everything that had gone wrong in her life. He was still at fault, but Jungkook had been a new alpha as well. A kid as well. It had been years and here he was groveling at her feet for forgiveness, not for himself or his mates. But in order for YN to stop blaming herself. "Jungkook, get up." The alpha refused, clinging onto her hands like they were a lifeline. Slowly, YN slid off the chair and to the floor gathering him in her arms, he was much bigger than her but the way he wrapped himself around her spoke volumes.

        Out of her mouth came the words YN never thought she would utter. “I forgive you.” Then as a display of her sincerity, she rubbed her nose where his scent gland was right above his mating mark. Where her’s would eventually go.

        The second YN stepped out of the car, her mother swept her up into a hug. “Oh, darling how I’ve missed you.” YN giggled hugging her mother tightly, despite being a beta her mother had always smelled to her like sour lemons. Most might find that irritating smell, but YN had always enjoyed it. “I missed you too, Mom.” Her mother squeezed her tightly before her focus turned on the alphas behind her. “It’s nice to see you all. You especially Namjoon.”

         “It’s a pleasure to see you again ma’am.” Namjoon’s dimpled smile was enough to have her mother swooning on the spot. Something which caused YN to roll her eyes, though the longer she thought about it. “You’ve met my mother before?” The question was directed towards the lead alpha, but it was her mother who answered. “Ah, Namjoon introduced himself during your graduation. He called to let me know that they would be accompanying you.” Oh. “I didn’t know that.” She shot the men a glare, but they all shrugged.

         Jungkook intertwined her hands in his and shot her a sheepish smile. “You look pretty today.” The dress she was wearing was one they had picked out for her, a red wrap dress that brushed her knees. Jungkook seemed to be in a better mood than yesterday, their conversation had left YN worried but thankfully it seems everything had been resolved. At least on his side. Her mother guided her through the house and to the back, showing them to the outside.

         “Be warned, Shuhua’s family is a bit antiquated.”

         That served as an understatement for what was to come.

Decorations lay thrashed on the floor as several tables and chairs were flipped over in the tumult. YN couldn’t see much through her bleary tears, but she could see the bloodstain. Drying on the freshly cut grass while its rusty odor invaded all of YN’s senses. She was aware of the echoes and shouts around her, but YN couldn’t react to them. Not until she felt warm arms wrapping around her figure, the woody scent alerting her to who it was. “Let’s go home, baby.” YN wasn’t sure whether she nodded or not, but she was dragged away nonetheless towards the six other men waiting for her.    

I called them,” Namjoon answered her thoughts, but YN wasn’t too concerned. Despite, her wondering how the men had managed to get there so quickly. She was faintly aware of getting into a car, being placed on someone’s lap, and the sweet sounds of humming near her ears. “It’s okay, YN. Everything is okay now. You’re safe.” So it was Jimin she was sitting on. That’s why her nose didn’t burn. She remembered Soyeon’s words, her mother’s shocked expression, and the face of the disgusting man being pounded into by one of her mates. “Shhh, baby. It’s okay. You’re safe now. No one’s ever going to hurt you again.”
