A small, selfish part of Aloy wishes she was awake. Time spent apart is busy and distracted on both ends, and brief Focus calls only take connection so far, no matter how earnestly they speak. Aloy missed her.

After everything, Aloy's purpose still takes her far from home. But she always comes back—sometimes very late at night.

10, Aloy/Talanah

Have a not-drabble (I was going to try, but I ended up with 200 words, so), heavily-inspired by some of @foibles-fables 's own headcanons, AU ideas, and rad playlist.

Talanah vaulted over the felled tree with impressive agility, using it as a springboard to drive her shortsword deep into the dart gun of a wounded Stalker. While the machine immediately went down, kickback from the damaged component sent sparks flying in Talanah's face, and she struggled to brace herself as she landed, curling her arm protectively around her stomach as she hit the ground.

Aloy rushed to her, grabbing her shoulder and hauling her over none too gently. "Are you okay?" she demanded, eyes darting all over Talanah's frame, honing in on her stomach.

"I'm fine," Talanah hissed as she sat up, shooting Aloy a small smirk. "You think a little spark could take me out?"

"That's not–it's–" Aloy clamped her mouth shut, frowning, then suddenly surged forward and pressed her lips to Talanah's, short and sharp and just a little scared. "Don't scare me like that," she breathed against Talanah's mouth, hating the way her voice wavered.

Talanah slunk a reassuring arm around Aloy's frame, giving her a gentle squeeze. Then she placed a much softer kiss on Aloy's still-downturned lips, as if she might soothe Aloy's uncharacteristic anxieties with that alone. "I'll do my best, my Light."

talanah was clearly supposed to have a bigger part in forbidden west she got her own comic leading up to the game, she was in the offical promotional artwork that was first released! the only other character featured with aloy!!!!!! she was on every social media site, her own square in the instagram posts and was in the header for their twitter account! they made a special work that featured her and aloy specifally for their twitter banner! not a single other character was promoted for the game with aloy like talanah was! she was literally promoted as a main character! her whole storyline was following around a guy she's in love with that loves someone else and her story just ends in heartbreak? the fourth bunk at the base was never filled, she's the only non companion you can talk to the other companions about. forbidden west confirms gay elizabet and we got multiple? (at least one i can remember) scene of aloy reacting to romance. im not saying talanah was supposed to have a bigger part in the game and was possibly supposed to be aloy's love interest but thats exactly what i am saying and the dlc just proves this no i will not elaborate

For an anonymous prompt, “absolutely CAPTIVATED by the thought of them using the strap from behind, until Talanah can’t hold her arms up anymore and her shoulders are flush against the mattress, the first time she tells Aloy she wants to have her baby."

(this became longer and softer (heh) than I intended. not completely happy with it, but wanted to share regardless!

So, this took root 1 day to write, me 100 hours to draw and you 10 seconds to read (spend a little longer plz?)

Really proud of this one! I wanted to practice action and experiment with different coloring styles and I thank root so much for being patient as I tried out different things. Root, I loved going back and forth with you over the pages at every stage. I adore how you captured both Talanah's and Aloy's voices as they casually converse while fighting an angry Thunderjaw. Hope you enjoyed the Sunhawk teasing her Thrush!!

Things I’d love to experience in Horizon 3:

Riding big machines and using their weapons while doing so (with friends) ⚡🦖

Even if it’s just once this would be AMAZING. Which machine would you ride? What would the Thunderjaw pet name be?

This is part of a series of my wishlist for H3 and the idea has been going around my head for a year or so. I finally had the guts to draw the big guy (it took me way more hours than I expected).
