whoa, haven’t done one of these in awhile~

i) i keep a travel journal and would love to visit as many countries as possible - i think I’ve visited 12 as of now ♥

ii) idk why but for as long as i could remember i’ve always ~loved the water? my siblings hate swimming?? really hope to get a scuba diving license some day. Also, dream (vacation) house by the beach!

iii) was quite a tomboy when i was younger, but especially at Halloween? lol. my earliest costumes were: the red power ranger (mighty morphin!), superman (i kept saying supergirl, but the darn costume had abs on it), spiderman, anakin skywalker, … i still have the spider-man mask :P

iv) have lived in the same house all my life~

v) foods that are in my veins, all i taste at night inside of my mouth etc etc: sushi, strawberries, watermelon, mangoes, green tea ice cream ♥ ♥ ♥

vi) i’m a “lists” kinda girl. i get fairly stressed if i have to keep all my daily tasks in my head, so i keep a day planner and a white board (which is less like beckett’s murder board and more a “oh god murder me?!?” board bc *sigh* ~life )

vii) i have trouble spending money, ‘til the point it totally annoys my mom. i just always think you can get things at a better deal?? i have asked my parents on more than one occasion if i was the same as a kid… and they said I never ~really wanted anything material, that I’d always just store away and save my birthday money. Apparently I always asked for experiences: to travel (well, as a kid, that simply was: “Disneyland!!”) or archery lessons, or go go-karting… and when they told me that, i realised it’s still true :P I’ll hesitate to buy clothes, books, dvds, etc. at full price, but I’ll shell out money to go zip lining in Mexico, swim with stingrays, or skydiving.

viii) 9ever embarassed that I’m Chinese/Singaporean and can’t speak any Chinese dialects :((( Constantly asking my parents why they didn’t speak Mandarin at home so i’d be naturally bilingual and it’s always “We didn’t want to confuse you!!” :((( sigh, just gotta teach it to myself one day.

ix) besides relaxing by reading or graphic-making, playing the piano is my favourite way to de-stress. currently learning Skyfall, a bunch of FFVII: Advent Children songs, and writing sheet music for a Castle/Robert Duncan medley (which may not be finished for awhile bc I’m only 35% done and apparently without a piano for the entire summer…)

x) hm, what else. being a computer science student is not really that random to most of you, so… maybe a random story time sesh instead:

while i have always been fascinated by film/tv/animation since i was like 4 or 5, the moment that encouraged me to really consider pursuing a path to the industry was when my Dad randomly bumped into Chris Sanders (director of Lilo & Stitch, How to Train Your Dragon) on the Comic Con floor when i was 13… my Dad expressed how I hoped to work at Disney one day, and they had a great chat (i’m shy, i kinda just stood there). At the end, Chris Sanders gave me his card, and I still remember looking down at it and reading “Walt Disney Animation Studios” and his name, and him saying he hoped he’d see me there one day. And since then, I’ve been dreaming of one day having a similar card of my own and working with such wonderful creatives and storytellers ♥ still a long ways to go though!~
