Oh you asked for it.

1. If there was one thing about your f/o that you would want people to understand, what would it be?

Moon isn't pure evil. He's chaotic neutral. Yeah I said it. Most of my faves are. I'm not trying to woobify this robot I'm dead fucking serious he has so many neutral traits and it's like I'm the only one who sees them. I guess I'm insane? What else is new man. But anyway just.

He's programmed with security protocols and just wanted to catch Gregory. "Ouuu Gregory is just a kid" maybe so. But he's a fucking menace of a child. Look what happened to the others and the entire pizza plex because of that child. Granted the plex part was also because of a certain entity, but I digress. Moon was trying to stop Gregory in any way possible because it was in his programming.

THAT BEING SAID. He is also a meanie and silly. And you know what? I love that about him. I think he's allowed to be mean and be a little silly as a treat. If I was in someone's shadow all the time constantly being called bad and evil by even the official pizza plex merch, I'd snap too.

I think he just plays into the mean and bad role because it's all he's ever been known as. It's all he knows. Aside from how to take care of children. That can be an iffy mix. But yknow what? Contrary to popular and boring belief, some kids actually like villains better. I imagine there are little regulars of the daycare that adored Moon and he probably loved it. You know if he heard a little one say he was cool, he'd absolutely keep playing up and exaggerating his villainous tendencies. And that never became an actual threat until the whole virus incident.

Yknow something else. I like threatening Moon too. Yeah I said it. I don't care if he has a virus or not that won't stop me from loving every bit of him pre-present-or post virus. And no I don't think he's ever actually hurt a child before Gregory. I think he's scared them shitless but never laid a hand on one. I think he ENJOYED scaring them too. And I think that's fun sorry not sorry. Once again, being the opposite of Sun is all he really knows, and the virus just amped that up to 11.

Did you know that before they were programmed with the knowledge to care for children, they were both theater performers? Facts. It's no wonder poor Sun seems to have anxiety and Moon is so theatrical in his spooky personality. Sun always played the good guy and Moon was always the villain on stage. It's just their natural ways. Furthering my point.

Tldr; Moon isn't inheritly evil. He's morally grey. And programmed to be that way virus or not.

Wow that did get long. Sorry. Hm.

2. Does your f/o sing or play music? If so, how are they at their craft, and what's your favorite thing about it?

I hc Moonie both sings and has a music box for lulling people to sleep. They're a wonderful singer and I'd pay MONEY to fall asleep to their voice. Moon asmr when /hj

My favorite thing about it... Definitely when Moon plays waltzy tunes from his music box and asks me to dance with him- or when he does silly dances to his own music. He's really good at making up funny songs too! Some of them can be morbid, but I like morbid. I like him. I wish I could kiss him. "He doesn't have lips" shut UP yes he does they're right there carved on his big happy smile. Also idgaf I will kiss teeth like a sans selfshipper try me bitch (I'm sure you probably feel the same)

... I'm actually listening to the carousel theme for the first time and imagining dancing with Moonie under the daycare stars... But don't tell anyone....

#charcuterie saga #The original version of this was a watercolour but unfortunately I left it behind while travelling...#Along with some of my comic pages and my scripting notes (that's why I have yet to post more pd-mdzs...I funked it up big time)#This board was made on Dec 30th and I am very thankful to the people who helped donate various components to make it possible.#I took a few variations on the composition and while this one has some flaws - I think it has the most personality!#True Charcuterie fans will look at my choices and weep but I never promised good charcuterie!!! I promised accuracy to the poll!#Some elements stand in as 'double counting' in categories. Which was a survival technique for me.#I had to learn a lot of new things to make this possible! My skills like in making the physical wooden board - not the arrangement of food!#Rosemary was hotly debated as I personally do think it counts as edible (so not a valid pick for 'decoration').#I also thought tomato sauce could count as a fruit and spread.#My cursed hand has fingerprints in other parts of this tragedy. Beware looking too closely.#Of course there is a version of reality in which I have the disposable income to buy 20+ different kinds of cheese and-#-make this baby absolutely massive. Not the reality I live in though.#What a wild experience this saga has been. So many opinions about cheese (and other foods).#EDIT: I mislabelled the Salami! There is salami on the board!!!

How?

Because his reborn lover/partner/wife(or husband) was being used as a 'sacrifice' to summon him. (Danny and his partner (not picky who, could be a DP character or a made up one) sometimes they relive lives together, but Danny due to King duties can't always join his 'other' (or Forevermores as I like to coin them as) into new worlds for a few years.

hc that merlin and Gwen (who are besties btw) are absolutely running shit. Got a problem? Go to them - always to them. They're the ones who know the most about the castle and have full control of the royal schedules.

Uther does not know about this and neither does Arthur - however whenever either one of them pisses Merlin or Gwen off or they just do something like seriously fucked up (looking at you Uther you absolute ass) they bury them in work.

and I mean like bury them: making them wake up at like first light for an 'emergency' (apparently someone thought they saw a sorcerer) straight to training the Knights, to a meeting with the council to deal with the non-existant sorcerer, to confirmations of a celebration

they don't know what the celebration is for. (in truth it's not for anything, the castle just wanted an excuse for a party, and it's funny gaslighting the royals into thinking they approved some random ass celebration a few weeks ago)

The servants know and 100% annoy them with inane shit because their "input" is needed (no the fuck it's not, but getting to fuck over royalty is fun for them)

random servant #1 to Uther: Apologies for interrupting Sir, but the seamstress wanted to confirm time for your fitting for your outfit for the celebration tonight?

Uther, baffled asf running on 5hrs sleep: celebration? there is no celebration??? and what colour scheme

Servant #1 trying not to cackle: yes sir there is? you advised of it just last month - the seamstress just wanted to take last measurements

Servant #2 elbowing #1 to get their shit together: and the blue and purple scheme? You approved it over a month ago, and Prince Arthur confirmed last week before preparations were made.

(all the food is stuff Arthur and Uther barely tolerate and mildly hate and their alcohol is weak asf - meanwhile the knights and everyone else are eating amazingly, drunk off their asses)

this is one of those fic ideas i wanted to write for every ship i've ever been into so it will probably never happen but i'd like to have a silly story with 40 yo, single, lonely tommy kinard who's been down on his luck all his life - like i'm talking ridiculous levels of mom dying at childbirth, dad being terrible, horrifically unfortunate experience of the military, a series of failed jobs, a series of failed relationships, friendships never sticking for long, risks he takes always going south, somehow getting paper cuts through chainmail gloves, missing the bus while trying to avoid his daily encounter with the neighbor's dog etc. - one day opening the door of his downtrodden studio apartment to this beautiful man who stands there like a fucking angel. who looks at tommy with big apologetic eyes, red cheeks of shame, and twiddling thumbs of guilt and stutters, "so, uhm, i wish you didn't have to learn it this way but hi, i'm the guardian angel who, as it turns out, misplaced your files about four decades ago, and so uhm it just resurfaced, haha, and like yeah, i've been banished here for penance. i'll take the couch, it's fine."

#then it's a series of fortunate events where buck's involvement in tommy's life as his suspended guardian angel/odd roommate #leads to tommy becoming friends with the diaz guy down the hallway #and that gets tommy involved with the 118 and him deciding to leave his temp job to become a firefighter like he wanted all those years ago #but couldnt risk with how accident-prone he was #him becoming friends with hen leads to him getting more confident in his queer identity #he takes eddie's son to a shelter one day and tommy adopts a dog who adds life and love into his house #and during all this buck is not even powered he's not doing anything special to make up for what he fucked up he's just being buck #he creates a family out of strangers for tommy and he motivates him into taking chances on a new job and he places new plants #on his windowsills and he attempts to cook human food and makes tommy laugh sooo hard at some of his original recipes #and tommy gets to love life and himself along with falling in love with this guy who he's 50/50 on whether he's a real angel or a madman #at the end when the heaven tells buck he repent his mistakes and he can come back #buck chooses to stay with tommy on earth and become a mortal for him #the end #bucktommy #911 #mimi.txt #my fic

It's always funny to me when in an lu fic the chain is offered bananas and don't accept them. Like, you're offering these high energy adventures free food?? Fruit they'll have never even heard of before??? A ridiculously expensive imported good at best?? AND it boosts your attack?

Not ONE of these idiots would ever turn down something new and interesting to eat at least once. They'd be all over those bananas and immediately get dubbed yiga and I'm honestly surprised no one has used it in a fic yet 🤭

#I know it's for plot reasons but it really shows the author's hand lol. still dont see how so many people say that dawntrail is poorly written in comparison to other expansions like. what, did you realize you had to learn about a new culture and immediately not care anymore lmao? you've done it before, was this one not white enough for you?

genuinely i think more people should do side quests during msq so idk you can form a heart about the characters you're interacting with if you struggle with that and understand the land better so when impactful shit happens your illiterate ass can actually read and have empathy. theres no excuse for this.

if you can't handle storybuilding and character introductions from the expansion that feels like stormblood and shadowbringers had passionate gay sex that got one of them pregnant and birthed a beautiful daughter they both love and care about then idk what to tell you, maybe youre just lame and can't read. best of luck with that.

Note for someone to turn into a story: one way to give the middle generation/s on a generation ship a purpose in life, aside from "raise the children whose children will eventually land on the colony world," could be as creators of art and story. Music too.

Just imagine: you have your whole life ahead of you with all the training and materials of this vast spaceship at your disposal, and all of society plans to revere the creative masterpieces you and your peers come up with.

No pressure.
