the way luka is singing "forget everything and just enjoy", "don't miss this moment", "leave no regrets", during the chorus. as though in giving his life to the stage he has nothing else left to lose, and all the more adoration to gain,

and the way till, having already lost mizi, ivan's blood still fresh on his clothes, just sings, over and over,

"in a blink, gone".

both till and luka were, for those few minutes, at the top together. but in offering his life and body to the stage, luka has already lost everything that could be lost. and he will continue to gain everything that could be gained from the aliens - more devotion, more adoration, more power.

whereas in resisting that relinquishing of his individuality, till has made everything that he could lose, that was integral to his identity, all the more precious.

luka's apathy made him adored, untouchable, and numb. till's empathy made him recognize all the things that matter the most to him, in the sparseness of anakt garden, and simultaneously made it hurt all the more once they were taken away one by one.

luka's chorus is a repetition of his audience's prayers and adoration. he is at the top, and the sky is his limit.

till's chorus is a reiteration, a mourning call - a disbelieving, numb reprise. he is at the top, and all he can do is fall.
