My name is Yousef Alaqraa from Gaza, I am married and i have 2 kids (Ahmed, 4 years ) & (Aser 1 year ), also have a mother and a sister we live together in our home. I am writing this after lots of thoughts and hesitation. But the urgency and need to rescue my family is greater than my resilience. I had a very simple and normal life with my family and I were happy with, compared to the current situation in Gaza, the destruction of our homes and work caused by the war and our displacement to different areas in gaza.

I also had a job in one of the private companies in Gaza and I was satisfied with it, My family and me lived through many wars in Gaza that took away many of the memories and dreams that we were about to achieve, but unfortunately nothing was achieved. The beginning was in 2014 Gaza war, when our small apartment was completely destroyed with all its memories and possessions, which was on a dangerous border area. We searched for another temporary shelter in which we sat for nearly 7 years and lived in very difficult days, until our apartment was built in the same border area that We were there and an empty apartment was given to us without any furniture. I had a small amount of money, 8 thousand dollars. I bought furniture, got married, and gave birth to my children, Ahmed and Asir, and our beautiful, stable life began again. In 7 October of last year (2023), our lives were turned upside down, specifically on 19 October, with the destruction of our entire region, the destruction of our small home, and our suffering began again. As for my work, the company I working for in Gaza in Watan Tower, was destroyed on October 8, 2023, before our home was destroyed, my work and simple income ended forever. It saddens me very much that I could not take anything from my home or my work office, such as important papers, clothes for me and my children, my laptop, some small pieces that are memories, etc.

My sister Areej graduated from the Faculty of Law at Al-Azhar University. It was her dream to become a great lawyer and restore rights to their owners. She opened her office two years ago in Alnaser city in gaza, but her joy did not last long, Her office was bombed and even burned، She sad about the important files she had in her possession. She told me that they cannot be recovered Any papers, contracts, documents, etc., Because the courts have all been destroyed, It's very frustrating for her!

After that My family and me went to Khan Yunis, and making a small tent in which I lived with my family, my wife and my kids and my mother and my sister . On January 25 of this year, 2024, the occupation army took us out of industrial area in Khan Yunis and tell us to go to Rafah. We left with only the clothes we were wearing and could not carry anything else with us. There was no longer any importance for anything. Rather, I felt that my life, like the lives of 30,000 people who were killed before me, had no worthles. My tears fell as I saw my mother tired, unable to walk, and I watched the distraction in my family’s eyes. It was no longer important that we remain well. All hopes fell before me. And wishes. Finally, we arrived in Rafah. and we making another tent to stay in. Unfortunately!! the winds and heavy rains destroy tent, and every two days we repair it.

I am very sad for my children who lived through many wars. My son Ahmed 4 year old asks me a lot about the blue bike that he loves and some of his other toys in our home, and I can't give him an answer because they were destroyed and he will never see them again. I am also sad that all the words he is currently saying are bombing, tanks, missile, and he looks at the sky with fear filling his eyes.

It is also sad that I am completely certain that the process of building my small home will take decades compared to the amount of destruction in this war, where the destroyed 80% of the homes in Gaza Strip and the infrastructure. I am sad because lost my job forever and I do not know how I will start again and whether it is possible to find another job or not, especially since I have exhausted all the money I have left because of this current situation. I and my family are extremely desperate and frustrated. Bisan is a 25-year-old filmmaker from Gaza who has been reporting through her Instagram on life under israeli bombardment. She hadn't posted an update in over 24 hours before finally being able to post on 11 Nov (local time):

Alrimal primary school, an unrwa school.. the Israeli tank entered the school and shoot people.. their is no ambulance, so people carried the injuries and the killed bodies on the shoulders to the hospital and they found that there is no medical staff! There is no aid, people are bleeding and dying in the streets!

Alrantise, Alnaser, Shifa'a hospitals were bombed and besieged!! Around The Indonesia hospital is heavily bombed and people can't go anywhere! As for the safe road!!!! As they claimed!! Today at 2:30 pm. people where bombed during evacuating to the south during this road!! Salahaldeen street! Dead bodies are on the street!

This street is a nightmare! People need to walk for 3-4 hours with no vehicles, children.. disabilities, elderies.. and all are walking, and I swear, I witnessed people are old or sick people are dying tired on the street! And their bodies are still there!
