She wondered, at this point, whether the Doctor really had been sighted around here or whether Jake and Mickey had convinced Control to send her to some other unknown place so that they could play a trick on her in the guise of 'testing her skills on the job'. They should know full well by now that she knew what she had to do; she'd found her way easily enough around with the Doctor, too.
