People she lost touch with whom she assumed had carried on with their mortal lives and died...until she ran into them later only to find out they were part of the supernatural world too.

It had happened often enough for Caro to realize that it would, but not so often as to make it common place. So when Caroline spotted a face she had last seen passionately screaming about the need for equality and rights for all, it sent a feeling through her that if she were human would have been described as her heart beating faster. 

“Elodie!” she called, relieved when the blonde turned around and her suspicions of the other’s identity were confirmed.

Oliver opened the door out onto the street. Or at least he tried to. It opened about halfway before it ran into something. Or something ran into it. Hurriedly, Oliver made his way outside. “Shit, I’m sorry!” he cried when he saw the blonde on the ground. “Are you okay? Fuck.” He raked his hand through his hair, looking around as if for help. When he looked back down at the woman, he cursed again and extended his hand. “Sorry. Let me--here.” 

“I’m fine,” she said, though she sounded a little breathless. Oliver wondered what part of the door had hit her.

“Yeah, but come and sit down inside, just in case,” he said. He hadn’t meant to push the door open so hard. “I need to get a door that opens inwards, or automatic doors or something,” he cursed, glaring at the door and the gym front as if it was at fault. 

“Here, lean on me if you want. Come in. I’ll get you something to drink.” As he looked at her, Oliver couldn’t help but think if he had to push a door into anyone, he wasn’t all that upset that it was this attractive woman.

What are some of your favorite threads for your babies?

i have so many, i’ll try to talk about ones i havent yelled about before !

Lucian god he’s been here so long and there’s a lot that’s with people who aren’t around anymore (but i still love and cherish them.

Oh my god when he tried to mess with @jonahrhodes with the whole “what them handcuffs do” comment has a special place in my heart as not only being fucking hilarious but as a quick establishing character moment for the both of them?? showed that they’re both lil shits in their own way, i love it.

there was a short thread born out of a starter with @mallorybordeaux where they just walked through the frey and talked about high tailing it to europe before shit hit the fan and it was so fucking wholesome and sweet. speaking of mallory, that one 3way thread with @josefinexgatti was brilliant, i love the vampire moms.

just that brief thread between my hiatuses with @cyrus-hayes and luc was great tbh, i think it was a perfect way for them to meet and establish what they’re like at surface level but there almost felt like a tension to it?? and i live for that shit.

in general the #growth that’s happened between luc and @hcdtallxs is my fav and the last thread we did really showed that lucian finally sees hudson as person and it hurts and warms me at the same time

Honestly anything with @blccksheep. it’s been like two threads but these two just click and i feel like its believable they’ve gone from a professional relationship to close friends despite us not having written down their first meeting like brotp of an artist and her adorable canvas

how bout that beekman thread with @hunter-haller?? such a good way to develop not just their friendship but their abilities in general. i remember telling rachel that i just wanted to see ramsey be the badass she is on the inside and she delivered. and i mean ruby got to basically go full katara in a fountain, i love it.

any time ruby sees @allglasseverything she becomes a bi in crisis bc wow so pretty and it amuses me greatly

it seemed like such a small thing but i loved the thread with @kaseyxreid in the wine section.

The halloween thread between her and @cyrus-hayes was weirdly wholesome?? seemed like a softer calm before the storm moment.

theo already pointed out the recent bar thread between gwen and derek and i gotta say its one of my favs too. i love these two and how derek has kind of become her tie to humanity.

it was brief but the last thread with @noahbordeaux (RIP ONE (1) EVIL MAN) warmed my cold lil heart and she’s going to miss him so much

the dance studio thread with @giaivan mainly bc i just envisioned the fucking ending scene from twilight and aesthetically it just did it for me god bless

anything with @isxdcrx, when i first started writing shit for myles i never really had him around any vampires period but i love that his first like REAL encounter was someone so soft and humanlike and im excited to see where they go from her going loco on NYE

“Decided on something?” Elodie, that was her name. This was the second time she’d found herself in the shop but Ruby continued to see her in passing every once in a while. Or playing piano at Fitzgerald’s. She wanted to say something just about every time she saw her in the place, but found herself distracted by the contrast of inked hands moving across ivory keys. Embarrassment still kept her at bay, their first real speaking encounter made her worry she was just going to keep fawning over the artwork on her body. Regardless, she greeted the other blonde with a smile from where she sat at the reception desk, her attention immediately snapping to her from Spotify on the computer. @allglasseverything

First, you are such a great writer!! Second, what are your favorite plot lines your characters have been involved in?

Hm, you think I would be able to think of allll deez at the drop of the hat, but as stated before I have one singular brain cell chugging along so forgive me. 

Is it a cop out to say that Holden’s ‘major’ plot line with @hcrperthomas is my favorite? I mean obviously when you put up a wanted connection for something super duper major, you get a little nervous, but Cece is friggen amazing and I couldn’t be happier that we get to write this out together. It looks like Holden and Harper are dragging along with coming to terms with things... but grief is messy and honestly just having a face from his past and finding out she has a kid with his best friend who’s death he was responsible for... was just mind blowing for him djfksfjg. so I’m just so excited to see where this will eventually end up good or bad. 

And does this even count as a plot line?....(yes I chose two)... I just love how Holden has inevitably found himself wrapped up in Josefine’s old drama just merely by mistake. I mean, boy just talks and shit goes wrong and he just keeps finding himself in Mallory’s line of verbal fire bc he doesn’t know how to just COMPOSE HIMSELF around this 1000 year old woman. 

My favorite plot line for Julian is obviously his banter with @nixonreynolds. They’ve come a lonnggg way from Julian threatening to kill him and blaming Nix for Oliver’s death.... a LONNGGG way but they’re still frenemies for sure and I just adore it far too much. 

also I miss lucinda breckenridge @hcdtallxs, she was a blessing to Julian’s development, rip

Caleb and @lolacarrington verbally brawling over coco is always funny af. lola is a true ride or die. But that’s pretty minor. 

I’ve definitely loved exploring this whole ‘psychological prison’ I’ve set up with Caleb’s werewolf side and him having attacked @annabellerhodes-x was such a great start point, I love Erika

Beth and @allglasseverything is so great bc while she does wear these masks to kind of hide her vulnerability from her peers, she kind of sees herself in Elodie and 10/10 wants to protect / semi - recruit ?? she’s still up in the air on that. But exploring all these different nuances of Beth’s personality is so important to me considering how much she has been through and how she really just can’t let her shoulders down in front of the Ouroboro’s (at least that’s how she feels, always watching her back, etc). 

Also, this isn’t my direct plot, but Beth slipping up about @kaseyxreid‘s past life is something I’m wigging out about and can’t wait to explore more bc gurl whoops jfksjgksgjskg

And finally, obviously, honorable mention to @cyrus-hayes and his psycho self. Mar is so incredible as a writer and it’s a BLESSING to be able to explore another side of Beth. She wants to trust Cyrus but knows she can’t and it’s just STRESSFUL, GURL. It’s like she’s getting a played out life lesson on who not to be (sorry Cy, lololol) 

Mal is a simple dude, obviously @luciantallis and Mal is ICONIC but I can’t scream about that here, I’ll just DIE FNKSJGKSGJSK. So let’s just make it funnier and say that the best thing ever is Mal hitting on @elijah-tallis without realizing that’s Lucian’s bro bro :/ smh, mal never learns

@jonahrhodes - cjs right hand man/other half so to speak. he gets her, she gets him, theyre a badass duo and i love that despite how much they come off as hardasses they both just want to protect their fambam and idk i love them so much

@allglasseverything - basilisk bb, i love how vulnerable elodie is and how she wants to trust people and here the ourobororoorosos basilisk gang comes to befriend her and like aslkdj the betrayal of it all just always has me like is this is? is this when elio confesses something he shouldnt bc he considers her a friend and is LYing??? and then it’s like nah and it keeps going and dramaa. also love her and @giaivan‘s “ur a what” -points gun @ u- thread. 

@elijah-tallis - flora & i have raved about this to each other but we love how he just fits in the family. we love how you made him unique and still his own character whilst paying close attention to how the fam works and the dynamics already there. obvi love addisons childhood bestie and their interactions but overall i think you brought in such a great character i cant imagine a better tallis bro joining in!

@isxdcrx​ - i’ve written with beca for a thousand years at this point and idk what it is but isa stands out as different to me than a lot of characters shes played. maybe because shes warm despite alll her many centuries of life/very dark struggles, but i really enjoy seeing her interactions and writing opposite her

@themayor-calloway - like we have a mayor??? and like i believe him? mar does such a stellar job at taking skels and breathing life into them in such a way they feel like they were all hers from the start. honestly cyrus is boss but i love that you took the challenge of a human figure in authority in the midst of a supernatural war essentially and he feels real and the way he views the supernatural world/ny is perfect. also jdm 4 life. 

@shcmvs​ - i should’ve mentioned this as one of my fave threads but him and addison arguing over leaving the city or not bc like idk if theyve ever really argued??? but big bros are great and i love how solid he is as a brother/fam member

“Elodie?” He knocked on the other basilisk’s door, shifting from side to side as he stayed focused on the hallway floor, determined not to look up even if he saw movement out of the corner of his eyes. He wore sunglasses inside today, not something he typically did when contacts did the trick but even their tinted glass helped obscure things inside. Helped him not see them. If he was being honest, Elio shouldn’t have even been there but he felt compelled to check on the other basilisk, knowing that she was probably going through more than she had before and that already knowing so little about their kind didn’t help in times like these. 

In his pocket he had a few charmed items that would hopefully help Elodie even if they wouldn’t take all this away. He wished it would, especially as he knocked again, feeling that creeping feeling at the back of his neck and he knew someone was behind him. But he refused to look. Refused to see the charred skin and runny eyes. Refused to subject himself to that again just yet. Because eventually he couldn’t stop himself from looking and he’d be paralyzed by fear. A strange feeling for the basilisk who’s very gaze could freeze someone in place. “El––Elodie? It’s me.” His teeth were chattering as he rubbed the palms of his gloved hands against his jeans, doing his best to keep them warm and maintain some mobility. “Por favor–– open the door.” It was closer. He could feel the chill moving along his spine, seeping deep into his bones and he squeezed his eyes shut behind the sunglasses, waiting for the door to open and the presence of another to offer some relief. @allglasseverything

Looking up from the schedule on the front desk at the sound of the bell ringing, Ruby recognized the woman immediately. Blonde hair, slender build...Weird energy, visible tattoos. The name escaped her but she knew her from Fitzgerald’s, had seen her playing piano. They hadn’t interacted, she’d tipped her a few times (it was polite and the woman was really good) but she was excited to see a familiar face. Especially of someone who already had so much art done. “Hi, can I help you?” She asked with a smile, rising from the computer chair behind the desk. “I hope so because I’ve seen you around and I have totally stared at what ink you already have.” @allglasseverything
