a night out was exactly what ximena needed after the long week they'd had. work had been monotonous as ever, and her social life was beginning to feel the same. tucking a piece of hair behind their ear, they shook off the pre-party nerves and pushed the door to the bar open, their party persona taking over immediately. a familiar blonde head stood by the bar and she made her way over, grin stretching across her features as she called out. "allegra! i was hoping i'd find you here tonight. shots?"

It had been an uncharacteristically slow night at The Boiler Room, one that had allowed Luca to hang up his toque and play mixologist for what little remained of the evening. After releasing most of his staff, though many had promised to swing back around after closing, with a few others opting to stick around to catch the first night of the Yankees double header. Trying his best to enjoy the stagnant pace of the evening, he had been pouring refills for the small group that remained when he saw a familiar but unexpected face walk through the door. “Watch out for her, gents! Nothing but trouble, that one.” A wink and a chuckle accompanied his smirk, an indication to those within the vicinity that his comment was made purely in jest. “Keeping yourself out of trouble, cara mia?”

Hunter stood outside the lounge, fidgeting nervously as he checked his phone for the tenth time that minute. He couldn't believe he'd agreed to go on this blind date. His friends had convinced him it might be fun, but reluctantly, he decided to give it a try. His heart was pounding in his chest, and he took a deep breath before walking in. As he entered the cozy place, he glanced around, trying to spot his date. Hunter's eyes widened in disbelief as he found out who it was. It was Allegra! The same Allegra he'd matched with on Tinder months ago, but things didn't go well at all back then. He sighed, wondering if this was some kind of cosmic joke. Taking another deep breath to muster up some courage, Hunter walked over to her table. "Um, hi Allegra?" he said hesitantly, half-expecting her to recognize him immediately.

"you were being real funny, allie, huh? setting me up on a date without asking me first? you know my relationship right now is... complicated," he sighs and shrugs. the blond doesn't say anything else because what else is there to say? the fact that he feels soooo alone and lost in his life? it's easier to joke -be a little mean- than to confront his real emotions. besides, he doesn't really know allie like that. can he even trust her?

winnie had never sewn a day in their lives, but they were hopig that the strength in their fine motor skills would make this easy. it was only proving to be half-true, as they struggled to get the ears right. they looked over at the person next to them, hoping they might be of some assistance. The male was looking for a specific raven-haired woman, when he managed to catch a glimpse of the blonde instead. After their run-in at his job concerning her Tesla, the Sato male wasn't sure just how likely it was that the woman would want to see him; granted, it wasn't his fault capitalism really popped off with Teslas. At first, he took an empty tray from the waiter and tried to create a shield with it. Covering his face, he attempted to scurry by undetected. That was before a plastered passerby bumped into him, sending Brodie straight into the tall blonde.

"Oh, what's up?" He attempted a charming smile as if he almost didn't take her to the ground with him.

Drink in hand, Tallulah went about her usual routine at these sorts of parties, making her rounds and mingling with familiar faces. She was toying idly with the rim of her now half-empty glass of her favorite pinot grigio when she found herself trapped in a dreadful conversation with a guy who simply just wasn't getting the hint. It was times like these, she wished she hadn't been passed off for Doctors Without Borders, even if it was for a good cause. Thankfully, the chat was about to come to an end when she caught a glimpse of Allegra, and promptly excused herself to join her friend instead.  

“God, that was painful.” Tallulah walked over to the blonde, chestnut irises sparkling wide at her. "And you look absolutely stunning, hon. Is that the new Bottega Veneta?"

CONNOR FOUND HIMSELF ILL-PREPARED for the responsibility of taking care of a house. Throughout his adult life, he had resided in low-maintenance apartments. However, circumstances led him to inherit a larger house than he needed. While he entertained the idea of selling it, his sister was reluctant to part with the property. In the front yard, Connor attempted to tidy up the garden, struggling to completely remove the stubborn weeds from the soil. As he tugged on a particularly obstinate root, it suddenly gave way, causing him to fall on his back. "Shit," Connor exclaimed, dusting off the dirt from his jeans. He glanced around, only to realize that his neighbor had witnessed the embarrassing tumble. "You didn't happen to see that, right?" he asked, trying to save face.

"Yeah I loved traveling Italy. I hope to go back some day" he said with a smile. He loved to travel and wish he did it more, especially overseas. "Uh, sure. Um here it your check" he said and placed the small tab in front of her after printing it out from the cash register from behind the bar. "I would definitely love talk travel with you again one day" he said and he took her empty glass and placed it in the bin with the other dirty glasses.

"aye," leon calls the woman that's walking past him. "i know you. you're... are you italian?" his words come off clumsy. he's not drunk, not too much anyway. but he is high. and this party is getting boring, so he needs to socialize outside his comfort zone. the blonde looks intriguing and like she can hold a funny conversation.

"shots first, then we sign up," she confirms with a nod, relaying their order to the bartender. "i need a little more liquid courage before going up there." with a laugh, they hand the second shot to allegra, raising it in a cheers. "salud! again!"

ALLEGRA TOOK a glance around, before looking at her companion. The night seems promising, so she hopes to have some fun. ❛ wait, I'm confused… We should sign up first before get shots or shots first and then we sign up? ❜

"Yeah, of course." Ethan nodded and made his way over to the kitchen island. It took him a second as he eyed the grating contraption, eyes furrowed while he contemplated his next move. You see, Ethan Wood was a lot of things. He was an athlete, pretty boy, self proclaimed badass, but he sure as hell was no chef. In his twenty-nine years on this planet, the jock never really had to use one of these things. With a shrug, he did what he did best and just went for it until somehow there was a pile of Prima Donna cheese grated on the counter top. Ethan might have managed to conquer the grater, but he had forgotten to use a bowl. "Uhh you got something to put this in?" Ethan scratched his head.

Once the cheese debacle was sorted, Ethan brought it over to the table, and rewarded himself with a large swig of beer for a job well done. "As long as you bet on me then you can't lose." He teased right back, a smirk unfurling against his jawline. "But shit, yeah. I bet you could pay someone to watch 'em. They gotta have dog-sitters around here." Ethan said as he brought over the rest of the six-pack then took his seat at the table, eyes widening at the meal Allegra had prepared. "Damn, Al." He lifted his beer towards the chef in a salute to her. "To you and this fuckin' feast. Cheers."

𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐀 sip of her beer and now doing the final touches. ❛ Could you grate the Prima Donna cheese, please? ❜ She pointed to the cheese and the grater on the island of the kitchen. DailyMail, though she spoke jokily, she hated how they spread the gossip, she had issues with these people, spreading fake gossip that had her family call to her. She totally agrees with him and nodded in response. After finishing the pasta, she put it on the dishes for them in a stylish way, as if they were in the restaurant, she even leaned closer to make things look nicer, the perfectionism in her.

Upon hearing his words, she just waited for him to give cheese grated and put it on top of her pasta bolognese. Drips of sweat sliding on her delicate features, cheeks blushed due to the heat of her own body. She gulped the beer and talked to 'Alexa' to put on some music. ❛ Nawww, I can't believe I miss, I could find my fighters and make a bet on them. ❜ She jokes. ❛ Oh, yeah but my family doesn't live here so… I'll think on what to do. ❜ She stated. ❛ Now we can eat and sit. ❜ She removed her apron, gave him cluttery, and picked for herself before sitting on the table with beer. ❛ Buon apetitto! ❜ She says in the end as she began to eat.
