i was banned late in 2022 for what the moderators told me was "hate speech". in my last post before the ban took place i'd called myself a tranny (i had been doing for months admittedly). i guess self-referential use of a slur could be framed as "hate speech" if you really wanted to police a group's speech. besides that i'd very recently expressed my dislike of all the associations centered around venerating american veterans and the conspirational origins of the "MIA" flag. "veteran status" is a protected identity under tumblr's community guidelines, which i think is as patently ridiculous as it sounds to anyone who is not from the US.
but those are just guesses. for all i know it could've been something else. i can't know for certain because i didn't receive any warnings or strikes prior to the ban. they refused to cite the offending post when i pressed them on it, and they didn't follow-up on my emails when i asked them again. they just said my whole blog violated the community guidelines. how? that's the kinda absurd part about using this website for an extended period of time (i had had that account for almost 5 years). any trans woman who is mildly public or vocal about their opinions when those opinions relate to her personhood is subjected to a torrent of hate speech. radfems were much more prominent back then, which gave the impression that this site's moderation was very lax. but when i was banned my account was deleted in one swift stroke, with no reference to what the offending content was, no previous warnings, and thus no means to reasonably try to contest it. i still don't know if I actually violated the community guidelines or not. no other social media does this. and one can argue tumblr is *relatively* more stringent about hate speech which impacts trans people than it was in 2022, but it's still a terrible practice. because people who might've been falsely banned due to an antagonistic moderator targeting a popular blog for personal reasons, something we know to have occurred with transmisoginistic actors in the past, that staff themselves have admitted happened, however briefly, have no means to prove it happened to them and end up just sounding like conspiracy theorists.
even if they claim they've rooted out the problem and their moderation team is "better" the complete lack of transparency makes it impossible to prove trans women aren't being targeted

"I'm in a bad place and need to get out, what can I do?"
I figured I'd make a post with all the resources/tips I've collected to help people get out of shitty situations so far, since it's easier than linking to a bunch of posts each time.
Seek out appropriate resources. This can include support groups (online or offline), helplines, and the like.
If you're in the US, you can call 211 to help you find resources.
Crisis Text Line offers services to the US, Ireland, Canada, and the UK.
RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is a US service offers a lot of information for sexual abuse survivors.
The Trevor Lifeline is a service for queer youth in the US.
If you're a minor, you may wish to read How To Escape Abusive Parents: A Guide For Minors.
If you're an adult, you may wish to read How To Escape Abusive Parents: A Guide For Adults.
You might also Duckduckgo something like "resources for people in abuse" or "abuse resources help" or "domestic violence survivors resources".
Ask people for help in finding resources. If you can't find anything on your own, there are other people who know where to direct you. It might take awhile to find what you're looking for, but keep asking.
A WORD OF CAUTION: there are many predatory spiritual groups and conspiracy theorists out there who prey on abuse survivors and mentally ill people. You will often see these people claiming that channeling or hypnosis can help you remember past life memories or repressed traumatic memories. This is nonsense and quackery.
Relevant posts of mine:
Hypnosis is unreliable for memory recovery, and this is one way we know.
False past life memories among the starseed movement
Here’s the trouble with hypnotic regression…
If you're on a website that claims to support cult survivors and you see any of these names in the citations (and make sure you check the citations!), leave immediately - all of these people are far right conspiracy theorists. (Unfortunately, many people today are unwittingly perpetuating the BS of Fritz Springmeier in particular. See this and this for more info on that.)
Change who and what you surround yourself with. Start associating with different people/groups as much as you can. Get hobbies to fill your time. Unfollow blogs that reinforce the beliefs you're trying to get away from, and follow blogs that provide a healthier alternative.
You might follow blogs like:
A Kind Place
Trauma Survivors Helping Trauma Survivors
Compassionate Reminders
Trauma Survivors Activities
Reasons For Hope
Bluest Fluff
If you're trying to rebuild your worldview without conspiratorial/culty elements, go take a look at my Resources page.
Remember that your first job is looking after yourself. You don't owe the group. You aren't responsible for the group, or for anyone in it. It might feel that way, but it's vitally important to acknowledge when you're unqualified or suffering burnout. You might feel like bad things will happen if you leave, but that's a fear, not a fact.
You also don't have to justify your departure to the group. You can just leave. If you feel that you must give a reason, you can offer something as simple as "I need to take some time to focus on my mental health" or "I'm really busy lately and don't have time to spend here." If they throw a fit over this, that's honestly just more proof that you need to get out.
If any practices the group taught you actually helped, you can keep doing them. If doing affirmations helped you, keep doing affirmations. If listening to so-called healing frequencies actually made you feel better, you don't have to stop listening to them. If you were practicing something like the Law of Assumption, you can carry on with a lot of that under a psychological model rather than Neville Goddard's wacky metaphysical model. (See this video for an example.) If it genuinely helps you and doesn't hurt anyone else, by all means, keep doing it.
You might look at my Manifestation Without Woo posts:
Manifestation Without Woo: Changing Your Brain
Manifestation Without Woo: People React To Your Projections, & Your Projections Affect Your Perceptions
Manifestation Without Woo: Setting Reasonable Goals
Manifestation Without Woo: Make It Fun!
Manifestation Without Woo: What If It's Not Working?
Get some critical thinking skills. In order to keep yourself from falling into another bad group, it's important to develop your critical thinking skills.
Learn to apply the Five W's (who, what, when, where, and why) when encountering any information.
Learn common logical fallacies.
Learn the difference between fact, opinion, belief, and prejudice.
Don't equate emotional reactions with some kind of innate or higher moral guidance.
Ask yourself if you're "thinking for yourself" or being led to believe you're thinking for yourself.
Know what emotional manipulation tactics look like.
Watch out for these behaviors in any new group you join.
Yes, there are ways to confirm the age of an old text without having the original text itself.
Learn how propaganda works.
Watch out for these red flags in spiritual groups.
And watch out for this red flag.
Understand that belief doesn't have to be binary.
So yeah, hopefully this'll give folks some actionable advice. I can't promise it's going to help each and every person out there, but hopefully it'll give a lot of you something that will help.

So uh. With the notion that c!Jack is no longer canon to the egos story. Here's where we're at:
It has no effect on Jackie other than debunking the "Jack is Jackie's real identity" theory.
It has no effect on Marvin unless I'm somehow forgetting something.
COMPLETELY derails what we know about Henrik. Jack was his best friend, as was Chase, he saved both their lives (reminder: Henrik confirmed Chase's case in KJSE), Anti possessed him BECAUSE he was trying to save Jack, which to us was the origin of all his fanon trauma, which has made SO MUCH of his character over the years as well as for his comeback in May 2018
It scraps a lot of Chase's foundation as Jack's best friend, overturns a huge chunk of what we know about him via Mayhem. The coma plot, Chase being in charge of the channel posing as Jack, that's all gone now. His only plot now is getting divorced, losing his kids, getting evicted. And Dark Silence, because Chase's encounter with Anti in it leads to him being contained by IRIS. Basically it's Bro Average -> Dark Silence -> CHASE -> IRIS & any future Alterverse content now.
It has no effect on Jameson. His lore as we know it, being Anti's unwilling puppet, is still concrete. Assuming this is what Sean continues to build off. We don't know what his plans are, all we know is Anti is some sort of anomaly now.
I 100% understand why Sean is redacting c!Jack and as an OC writer myself, I totally get "not knowing what you're doing at first so it has to be scrapped down the line." But it's still sad that this is taking a wrecking ball to Henrik's story. I think personally I'll be referring to it as his Beta Story on anything theory related I make for now on.
I'm not really sure how to word the thoughts I have now otherwise, but I do desperately hope my fellow theorists, newbies and veterans alike, are as willing as I am to trust Sean to take the story in its new direction. And respect it. We know there's someone very present in the community helping him with it and keeping a lot of the plot points and character lore we're all so attached to in his mind. While the coma *was* one of those things, again, I totally get why it has to be redacted. And honestly? That probably makes things less complicated in the long run, which I think we'll all appreciate WAY more eventually if we don't already, because it means there's less for us to worry about being done justice.
I think sometime this evening I'll make a post that constructs what, as far as we currently know, is all still canon. Just for our sanity's sake.
And for the record, for anyone who relies on my theory blog @isas-theory-wall, I'm not gonna "clean out" any posts from it or rearrange my tags to differ between Beta Plot and Actual Canon (at least not now, not until it proves to make utilizing my blog inconvenient or something). All our old stuff and what we Thought was canon prior to the story revamp will remain. If not for future use, at least for nostalgia.

sorry if you've already answered this (i searched ur blog) but if it's okay to ask, do you have any recommended readings for modern marxism (with a racism or colonialism lense)?
ok so prefacing this real quick I am high as hell. and also before i say anything id like to make it clear that i am not an authority on marxist communist theory, honestly i barely consider myself familiar with it. i went to school to study history so i interacted with marxist thought primarily in a historical/historiographical context, and generally in the context of colonial and postcolonial history. even then i studied mostly pre/early colonial american (in the broad sense not the USAmerican sense) & medieval islamic history. my knowledge of modern marxist theory is far from comprehensive.
with that said, I can certainly offer some suggestions, though some of them aren't necessarily marxist theory. but what the hell, lets get intersectional. for funsies. heres a few contributors to colonial/post-colonial/marxist thought that worked a little more recently than the 1800s
Fanon - Frantz Fanon was a french afro-caribbean marxist who, along with his wife Josie (who was the actual one writing, he dictated most of his works to her), wrote Black Skin, White Masks, A Dying Colonialism, and The Wretched of the Earth. From the portions I read while in school I would heartily reccomend all three. The Fanons were masters of decolonial theory and their commentary on whiteness, primitivism, anti-colonial historiography, and colonial class violence (among a billion other things, they were really prolific theorists) is the first place i would recommend people go if they want to start decolonizing their marxism.
Che Guevara - I really hope I don't need to explain who Che Guevara is. Anyways read Guerrilla Warfare and his motorcycle diaries. Oh and while I haven't read any of his work personally, I would imagine Fidel Castro would also be a good one to read for 20th century anti-colonial marxism.
Subcomandante Galeano - Previously known as Subcomandante Marcos, this guy was the figurehead/spokesperson for the EZLN until pretty recently. Our Word is Our Weapon is a collection of some of his writings translated into English.
Eduardo Galeano - Eduardo Galeano was an Uruguayan Journalist and his book The Open Veins of Latin America is a cornerstone of 20th century colonial theory even if it might not strictly be marxist thought.
Edward Said - Said was a palestinian academic and journalist whose book Orientalism is required reading for any colonial historian and should be for any self-proclaimed communist as well. It's perhaps marxist in the broadest sense but it is first and foremost a book about peeling the white supremacy goggles off of your face when studying the history of SWANA, which is a practice you should then apply to every intellectual endeavor you undertake for the rest of your life forever including your marxism.
anyway thats hopefully a good list to get you started. I know a few of my mutuals can probably add recommendations and provide a more educated communist perspective. Like I said before I'm a marxist historian more than I am a marxist in a communist sense.
#caught in the web#personally i dont really consider myself a communist#im an anti-colonialist first and foremost in terms of political theory#the fact that various flavors of communism have been the prevailing anti-colonial theory#just means i exist in plenty of communist circles.#anyways mutuals feel free to pitch in#also im calling it now im gonna get called a poser by someone for not being an expert in marxism

I was stunned to find the number of people in the tech industry who are all-in on the theory of scientific racism and eugenics. They've been out about that for years, though.
There's a sort of complex where this was the birth of, whether you want to call it the intellectual dark web, I think that was the moment there. They've sort of been radicalized gradually, as happens with these things, where they started with, like, Slate Star Codex was a really big key central point for them to gather and sort of say, well, we have to interrogate and question a lot of these (egalitarian) assumptions. They were very actively courted by the neo-reactionary movement.
So you have things like Peter Teal holding dinner parties with the founders of the movement, and sort of people who have explicitly endorsed slavery, explicitly endorsed disenfranchising women, and people of any non-male gender from being able to vote.
And I always resent it because I sound like a crazy person by just merely accurately describing what they have publicly said. I sound like a conspiracy theorist who's pinning up red strings on a cork board by literally being like, “This is a thing they said out loud, in public, multiple times.” And people are like, “There's no way.” And I'm like, I don't know what to tell you, but it's all out there. We have receipts for ten years.
They are way out there, and they have an explicit agenda of normalizing, really radical, really hateful agendas.
And for me, it's like, it's just a very simple thing.
It's like I have to care about my kid’s safety. I have to care about my friend's safety, I have to care about, you know, basic moral values that we used to agree on.
And that's the other thing too, is because I knew these people 10 and 20 years ago. Like the first blog that Marc Andreessen ever had, I set up. It was on a platform I helped build. So I know that there was a point in which, at least from the public visible face, this was once a reasonable person. And for them to embrace the sheer intellectual dishonesty, along with the hatred… the fact that they're just like, they don't care that they're lying because it's an effective tool to get what they want.
That stuff is… I don't know.
It really soured me on the traditional tech industry.
This is what their tech is for. The things they fund are meant to carry out their agenda.
Let me give you a clear example: To the people who believe in this extremist racist ideology, Elon Musk being willing to lose tens of billions of dollars in value of his own money, presumably, in Twitter, turning into “X,” is a principled person who puts his values ahead of the dollar. He is so committed to advancing this reactionary movement that he's willing to forego tens of billions of dollars of personal wealth in order to advance it.
And what rational people see as the destruction of Twitter is rather, the destruction of the ability for anybody to ever again make a Black Lives Matter hashtag, or to make a Me Too hashtag. And that is because he's not a dumb person. Like the thing that a lot of progressives and reasonable people want to just say, well, he's racist and evil, so he must be dumb.
He's not a dumb person.
Peter Thiel's not a dumb person.
So if we assume they're smart people who understand how systems work and have virtually unlimited resources, then why would they choose to do this?
Well, there must be a reason.
And there is a reason.
It's just one we don't like to confront.
Even more insidious is the fact that these tech moguls own huge companies with enormous influence, and wielding that kind of power over their employees creates a herd mentality within their workforces.
So if, for example, Facebook's board includes both Peter Thiel and Mark Andreessen. They don't have to give somebody an order to say what kind of content they want to promote on the newsfeed, on Facebook.
Everybody who works there knows this is who our bosses are. This is what we got to do, because they're smart. Everybody's smart, everybody's very reasonable.
And so you don't have to imagine, like I said, I don't have to be a conspiracy theorist that's putting up some red strings on a cork board to connect the dots and whatever. You're like, “Oh, I'm a midlevel product manager at a company. I'd like to make a name for myself and make the share price go up. And I know the boss's boss has been on every podcast in the world saying we need to promote more voices that are calling for ethnic cleansing,” okay?
Message received.
That's what a person who has no moral context would do. And there are a cohort of people in the technology industry that have come up entirely consuming media owned and created by these people, because they know the programming site Hacker News, which is owned by a venture capital firm and run by Paul Graham, is one of these guys.
They read blogs written explicitly by these guys. They consume it. They were on clubhouse. They're in a Discord chat with others that are sort of buying the stuff. They have a full wraparound media bubble. If they just read substacks and listen to the blog posts or read the blog posts from these folks, you can have what feels like an entire media diet shaped solely by this dialogue.
And this is why they're trying to own the media outlets and the distribution, like Twitter, alongside owning the platforms. And the fact that they can control more parts of society, right? The leverage of owning the distribution networks, the leverage of owning media outlets, the leverage of owning the platforms is very, very different, because we do have a lot of historical precedent.
If we go back 100 years ago and we say you're reeling from coming out of a pandemic, you are reeling from economic precarity and inequality at unprecedented levels, and you see the rise of, again, a direct parallel, virulent antisemitism. And you have things like the oil barons giving way to the Henry Fords of the world, the labor crackdown of the Pinkertons, Ford's embrace of, you know, to the point where he's pen pals with Hitler, and IBM building the technology.
The first person that ever asked me to do technology work for him was a neighbor of ours, and he had a tattoo on his wrist. And I was a little kid and didn't know what it meant. And I asked him what it was. It was his concentration camp tatoo. And what people don't realize is those are database entries in an IBM database.
And IBM's stance at the time was that they were neutral.
This is what technology does to enable the rise of fascism and victimization around the world. And we have a direct precedent less than 100 years ago, of how these technologies are used.
And I don't say that lightly.
I'm not saying we're there yet, but that is how you get there. And I would be surprised if the pattern doesn't play out in some ways, in terms of if you have tycoons of industry at a moment when the world is reckoning with massive social change, cultural change, along with recovering from things like economic destruction, inequality and pandemics… And you have rising military threats around the world.
That is exactly where we were a century ago.

Anything interesting about the rocks themselves, geologically?
A model of Stonehenge showing how it is thought to have looked when complete (if it was ever completed but that's another conversation) The big stones are the sarsens and the small ones are the bluestones. The geology of the rocks at Stonehenge is a huge subject and some research is still ongoing. I can tell you that the big stones, the ones most people think of when they imagine Stonehenge, are called sarsens, a local name. Sarsens appear in "drifts" on the chalk land that underlies that part of England. The sarsens are a kind of sandstone with a high amount of silica in them so if you find a newly broken or cut one it will have shiny bits in it. But of course the ones at Stonehenge were cut and shaped long ago and are covered with lichens and a dull patina. Until recently the source of the sarsens wasn't certain, although they knew they weren't from far away, but not that long ago the son of an engineer who had extracted a core from one of them long ago returned that core to English Heritage who are in charge of the stones. The core was tested and analyzed and it was determined that almost all of the 52 sarsens at Stonehenge were brought from an area called West Woods near Marlborough, about 15 miles north. Quite an enterprise 4500 years ago even to bring one 20 ton stone that far and they brought 50+. But the big stones aren't even one third of the stones at Stonehenge and the rest of the story is much more complex. People toss around the term bluestone for many of the smaller stones at Stonehenge but that isn't a geological term and the bluestones are different kinds of stone, mostly rhyolite and spotted dolerite. The closest geological matches for many of these are in outcroppings in western Wales. How they got to Salisbury Plain is contested. Most theorists believe they were brought there for some reason through enormous effort by the builders but there's one fellow in particular who bangs on and on about them having been brought from Wales by glaciers. I find myself hoping he's wrong just because he is unkind about other researchers and well, just generally annoying, but that's no way to do science, haha, and until proof is found one way or another we don't actually know.
There are other stones too, like the heel stone and the so-called slaughter stone, called that because it is flat and the hollows in it look red when they fill with water because of the iron oxide in the stone. There is nothing to indicate that human sacrifice was ever practiced there. That was just the kind of thing people liked to imagine in the Romantic Era and it stuck. For further information on the stones themselves I will refer you to a blog that numbers the stones and talks about each stone and the types of stones : The Stones of Stonehenge. There is no aspect of Stonehenge that isn't researched, talked about, even argued about. The personalities surrounding it are part of what fascinates me.

I have reread the beginning of your post about engaging with other people on the internet 15 times and I still don't understand what it means at all.
"[they] are too stupid to realize that you agree with them [...] because you didn't spell out [...] their political cause in your blog's header"
You agree with them, because you didn't tell them that you don't agree with them? What does that even mean?
Am I retarded?
Not at all.
Unlike progressives, leftists, and other flavors of libshittery, the online right-wing has few ways of identifying themselves as such without resorting to the same style of online signifiers the left uses. Pronouns, pride flags, picrew icons, list of mental illnesses, and other such insipid symbols are an immediate signpost for leftists that the user is one of "theirs," while the right has few such symbols.
In addition, the right is far more segmented and internally unstable by virtue of the fact that we have no cohesive narrative for our political values like the left. Simple words like "progress" and "social justice" unify even the most disparate and oppositional factions of leftism under the umbrella of political dominance. The right does not have this luxury.
These two factors combined means that two right-wingers that each ostensibly oppose leftist values nevertheless consider themselves political enemies. A libertarian that gets a whiff of monarchism from their fellow dissident will despise such sentiment and revolt to association; as will the enlightened centrist that detects reactionary sympathies, the tradcath that detects fascist sympathies, etc.
In practice, the result is that discourse in right-wing spaces becomes a game of purity testing and factionalization. "Do you hate the jews enough for me to like you? Do you love the free market enough? Have you accepted Nietzche as your lord and savior?" For the most far-right dissidents, at least those familiar enough with elite theorists like Mosca, Pareto, and de Jouvenel to identify said factionalization in action, this becomes tiresome and irritating. When all you've got to gauge a potential ally's worthiness to the cause is the content of their ideas, purity spiraling becomes nearly impossible to avoid. Such purity testing works for the left, because their shiboleth is so well-established and entrenched that it doesn't threaten their hegemony to be occasionally selective.
We like to assume that those who subscribe (more or less) to our personal political convictions are also intelligent enough to recognize the game we're all a part of. When you see centrists and milquetoast libertarians insist on trying to separate themselves from more extreme dissident spaces in a fruitless attempt at self-preservation, it becomes clear that they have no clue what kind of game they're actually playing. That's what I mean when I say that for some, the Schmittian "friend/enemy" distinction is too difficult, and they would be better left drooling in front of their cable news feeds, because the political game sans label affiliation is beyond them.

HEY YOU!!
YEAH YOU WAIT A MINUTE! STOP SCROLLING!!
If you reading this know Matpat, aka the dude who made Game Theory, Stylist Theory, Food Theory, and Film Theory, Also the dude who's Game Theory channel is made up of mostly Fnaf Theories, you might wanna read this
If you don't know him keep scrolling
TW:Sad, Spoilers for fnaf movie
So we know that Matpat is an amazing Theorists, he is always able to make theories and use so much research
But it seems his era is coming to an end...
Two days ago, Matpat made a video on his Game Theory channel called "Goodbye Internet" explaining how he will be retiring but leaving the channel to new theorists already working with him
You can go watch it now or I can sum it up for you
The reason he will be quitting is because he and his wife have rarely been getting any sleep due to staying up late researching on theories, also cause he has two kids now he has to take care of
He realized that so many more creators are beginning to quit youtube, Like CaptainSparkles(1 month ago), Tom Scott(9 days ago), and so many more, there are videos some people made about why so many are qutting youtube
Anyway, Matpat said he is leaving on March 9th(which I thought was May 9th but I guess not) and give it to other people already on his team, I can't remember who he is giving it to but I will editing this when I find out
He was an amazing theorist and it's so sad to see him go, he was the reason I was able to understand the fnaf lore so much better, he even played in the fnaf movie as a waitress
I don't know if I will be able to keep this up but I will for as long as I can, I will also leave it pinned in the pinned comments of all my blogs that connect to theories he's done, like tadc and fnaf, to my mutuals, you can pin it on ur pinned comment if you want, but only my mutuals!! and not on side blogs, on my main blog, the mutuals I have on there
We love you Matpat and hope you continue to grow as a person <3

Hey! I just wanted to thank you for using your platform to stick up for transmascs. I do have one request, though - could you not use Zionist as an insult? It's been a dog whistle for "jew I don't like" for a long time, and the perception that Zionist = person advocating for colonialism and imperialism and wants to turn Gaza into a parking lot and murder all palestinians is just... Really really antisemitic. The only thing Zionism means is the belief that Jewish people have a right to live in the land they're indigenous to, and that land is Israel. It doesn't mean pushing all Palestinians out, it doesn't mean Jewish supremacy, and it doesn't mean agreement with any of the choices the netanyahu and the rest of the Israeli government are making. Antisemitism has skyrocketed since 10/7 and the casual use of Zionist as an insult is just one of the small examples of it.
I've had a big problem with the word "Zionist", which I've occasionally mentioned here before, because even aside from how it's misused nowadays it's also just incredibly bad optics because screaming about Zionists was exclusively the domain of ultra-Nazis and the most out-of-it conspiracy theorists. We desperately need a new word for "supports the Israel government" for a lot of reasons. In light of that I can certainly be a lot more careful with how I myself use it and steer around that kinna language when I talk about Israel.
About the right to live in the land Jews are indigenous to, however, I do want to let you know for your sake that while we're on the same page regarding Israel's current administration, I can't fully agree with you about the subject even still. In 2024, I don't think the Jews that live there should be kicked out or anything like that, I've said before that a two-state solution is the only thing that makes any sense to me, but it's initial creation in the first place following WWII was really bad. Israel was unfortunately founded on really terrible actions done with the justification that Jews had a right to it, and that justification has continued to fuel further terrible things throughout the near-century since, so I don't think I can co-sign it.
I'm sincerely sorry if that makes you uncomfortable. I don't think you or people who think as you do are necessarily bad people when you try very hard to find a balance of mutual happiness between Jews and Palestinians, and I don't consider your viewpoint totally incompatible with working together towards either peace between Israel and Palestine or other progressive goals. I'm just letting you know where I stand on that specific detail so you can make an informed decision when you engage with my blog.

I read a lot about Horcrux creation theories when I was first writing KMCB. There's a JKR quote about it:
What tends to get proposed is either cannibalism or necrophilia. Neither of these obviously satisfy me, firstly because Voldemort's victims had no damage (even Tom Riddle Sr. being fully examined by Muggle doctors; the fact the Riddles' faces 'had a look of terror' means I don't think Voldemort touched them at all, just left them as is. You can't heal injuries caused by Dark Magic), and secondly because he couldn't have lingered around multiple of his crime scenes, this has to be something done elsewhere (the Riddles, Hepzibah Smith, especially Myrtle. IDK how long it takes to come back as a ghost (Myrtle says 'My whole body sort of seized up, and then I was floating away... And then I came back again') but I highly doubt he had time to eat her or sexually abuse her corpse. She didn't even SEE him. He left ASAP).
Other than these (which I don't think are revolting enough for her to not even reveal it, particularly cannibalism, I mean Greyback is a cannibal right on-screen), nothing I've seen proposed online is remotely sufficient to the level of horror she's describing in the above quote. Such as...
Voldemort sacrificed his body parts (first of all, that's again not nearly disturbing enough for JKR to not even want to say, plus Wormtail does that right on-screen, plus in 'Lord Voldemort's Request' we see that his physical changes were gradual, not sudden):
He used their blood (again, who cares? She would have just said it. Reminds me of the one post that's like this dove is not even injured):
And finally, kissing the victim:
There was a whole blog post I read where someone eliminated all the other options and 'deduced' it must have been a kiss, but it appears the whole blog is gone now. scottwritesstuff.com
Kissing makes no sense regarding Hepzibah Smith because Voldemort wasn't even there after she died, he had the elf poison her. Maybe they had already made out and it counts. He couldn't have fucked her or eaten her because he wasn't there. Sorry Hokey, can you go into the other room for a minute. Or, I suppose, re-reading it now, he did murder Hepzibah and put a whole false memory in the elf's head. But I think more likely he used the Imperius Curse on Hokey and/or switched whatever was in the kitchen. I do think Hokey did it one way or another.
Either way, he wasn't waiting around kissing or otherwise doing perverse behaviors to Myrtle's body because there's no way there was time, plus I think Myrtle's death was unintentional so he probably fled. And so he must have had to do the thing later.
I do agree with most of the theorists I've seen who assume this is something sexual (because anything else, like cannibalism, I think JKR would have revealed at some point), I just don't think the theories themselves add up because it has to be something that leaves no physical damage and can be done somewhere else.
Whatever, I just think some people need to get way nastier. It won't kill you.
I think it's interesting how Voldemort goes to Slughorn about this and tells him 'a wizard like you' would know all about the Horcrux creation process. As someone else on here once pointed out (I reblogged it at some point before) Slughorn's avoidance of giving the Horcrux memory to Dumbledore, his reactions of anger and shame when Harry brings it up, etc are just so overblown for what the memory ended up being. Ok you told him he'd have to commit murder. So what?
Many of the things I've mentioned here are very so what? to me. This is supposed to be this otherworldly evil act that's banned from being discussed at Hogwarts, Slughorn freaks out about it, Hermione is disgusted by the book about them, JKR won't even allude to what it is...
As I'm writing this I'm becoming so desensitized to all these subjects that it now seems like every theory on this including everything I wrote in KMCB is extremely boring and commonplace and not even taboo at all. What am I even talking about right now like omg necrophilia is WAY too tame. I don't even know what I'm saying I'll just stop typing now

if I sound angry in this ask it's not directed towards you, but what the actual fuck is up with that U-OZ person? their bio says "my focus is on other survivors and their incredible desire to be seen, heard, understood, to grow and thrive" but I don't get that vibe from them at all in regards to what the post showed. I looked at pages from their book and it's so obvious NONE of that is info for helping survivors to "grow and thrive" or whatever the fuck, it was for helping ABUSERS learn how to do that shit, it's a literal step by step instruction guide on it. I'm just like why would anybody write that book? genuine question. like I know there are sick people out there but why literally make the book available on amazon, I'm just confused and shocked and sickened so maybe my mind isn't wrapping itself around this stuff because it's so nauseating, but even if abuse groups have methods they teach to other groomers, wouldn't those creeps want that stuff stay within the group and not public? I wouldn't think it would be turned into a book and sold online, why be so public about something so fucking disgusting, I just don't get it? is this for someone to try it on their own or some shit even though U-OZ wrote about methods that clearly involve multiple people and that an individual wouldn't be able to carry out on their own? I'm just confused and pissed off and disgusted. it's so weird and just... what the hell even is that? like I'm still trying to understand why they wrote that, all those details and disgusting information for hurting vulnerable kids. and then their blog has a healing tag and posts I would think are genuinely trying to help survivors and share positivity so like... genuinely what is going on with this person? also thank you so much for doing your part and spreading awareness about them, I think I had come across posts by them in the tags when searching stuff like recovery and healing encouragement posts, but had NO idea about any of the other shit.
i genuinely agree with you 100% and can confirm they’ve always been this way. it’s not news. it’s not rumours. it’s fact. soooooooo many people have receipts over YEEEEAAAARRRSSSSS. they’re extremely antisemetic, anti-anything-government-whatsoever. makes up programming methods that aren’t even fucking real because they “connect dots” that aren’t there and then tell you everyone else is a conspiracy theorist and you can’t trust anyone else but them like HELLOOOOOOOOOO?????????
🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
Just. Block. Oz. they can’t be reasoned with. don’t support them. spread the word not to support the book. if/when it’s released, report it if you know how.

okay so HEAR ME OUT- There are only two viable candidates on who owns Alastor's soul, Lilith and Roo Because like, who else? Zestial? I mean Alastor seems scared of him and he has this green vibe going on but- I don't buy it.
There was a shipping ranking that happened (Im gonna ignore Adam, no one cares about adam) and now, we all know Alastor's a petty motherfucker so wouldn't you think he'd have a sort of a grudge to the person who literally owns his soul
"Lilith goes at the bottom."
hm. placing her at the bottom without ANY explanation. That is totally not suspicious. And you could argue that Lilith is well, Lucifer's ex wife but wouldn't he want to place her a bit higher just to get a spite out of him? (or well try to-) and why would he even care that she's his ex wife? like they don't like each other, at all. they are both Vox's boyfriend and it could've been weird but- c'mon at least but her above Lucifer, it doesn't make sense unless you have a personal grudge against Lilith that isn't her being Luci's ex wife "And I don't know who Roo is, apart from being someone Lucifer is rather cagey about, so I'll put them somewhere among the other ones I don't know - perhaps above that Baxter fellow."
Now I know Alastor wouldn't go into much detail about Roo if she owned his soul but- I think that he wouldn't just brush it off like that. I mean... maybe. But the difference between how he answers about Roo and Lilith does make me believe that if anyone, it would be Lilith.
EKHEM. So in conclusion. Lilith owns Alastor's soul and he isn't sneaky about it WHATSOEVER.
BUT HEY THAT'S JUST A THEORY- A- a hazbin sponsored by vee blog theory? . . . way too long. gotta work on that part!
-sane theorist anon
"You're saying Alastor ranked Lilith and him as the worst ship? Worse than him and Valentino? ... Fuck. That's... I know there's no one Alastor hates more than whoever holds his contract. And if she's ranked that low? ... Fuck."

Torchwood - The Conspiracy
For a first Torchwood episode in audio format, we're off to a great start!
It's a really rich format, and it's great to have moments of narration, podcasts, flashbacks and scenes in the present to flesh out the story.
The episode is adult, like the TV series, but in a much more mature way. No sex here, but conspiracy, paranoia and hard-hitting deaths. We follow heavy themes, such as marginal people who think they're above others by knowing “the truth” and who don't respect serious events that have happened by accusing conspiracy theorists. It's another way of doing Torchwood, which I enjoy just as much as the original version.
You get to know me, I love the lore, and I've been served with the creation of a secret organization that controls everything. There's a sort of paranoia at the end of the episode that anyone could be part of the Committee. There's enormous potential and the promise of a long-running battle between Torchwood and the Committee.
There are also a few elements of humor to contrast with all the darkness, which are by no means too much, particularly with Sam, the youngster who blogs about conspiracy theories.
In short, Big Finish has succeeded brilliantly in adapting the series to audio and delivering a striking first story.

Hey! New fan here. I'm not quite sure where to start. There's so much content. Any tips?
Hello there, I'm so sorry, it took me an eternity to answer you...
First of all, welcome to the fandom! When it comes to managing the gigantic amount of BTS content that exists, I can only advise you to take your time: navigate the content, watch what catches your eye, and leave the rest, maybe for later. For a long time now, Big Hit has aimed to offer a variety of fan experiences so no matter who you are, you can find something you really enjoy. Maybe it'll be the documentaries following the group during world tours or the cooking game with chibi versions of the members, it's up to you.
I'll try to give a few tips depending on what you may be interested in:
1 - You're here for the music
YouTube, streaming apps, and albums are your friends!
An easy start is the Hybe playlist since it has all their main tracks. Then if there's a song you really like, you can try and go for the album.
If you want more info about a song/album, you can check my blog post about it, it should have lyrics translations, filming places, a list of the referenced works and nods to other things, as well as some more trivia.
Then it's time for the documentaries (they're listed here among other shows) and the special performances to witness unique versions of your favorite songs paired with incredible choreo. Lastly, collaborations with other artists complete their discography.
2 - You're here for the members' personality:
Their variety shows, behind-the-scene videos, and socials are the way to go!
The iconic one is of course Run BTS!, which started in 2015 and is still going strong nowadays with the Run Jin! version, a show packed with laughter, treason, and games no one understands. But the true OG remains the Bangtan Bombs (Eng trans). Each video is a time capsule of the boys at each point of their career.
Once you've gone through all that free stuff (should take you some time though), the paid content is the logical next step: from the adventurous Bon Voyage to the relaxing In The Soop, you once again have the freedom of choice.
3- You're here to collect:
Merch and characters are the rabbit hole you're looking for!
BTS merch, products advertised by BTS, HipHop Monsters, BT21, TinyTan, you can buy them all! If you're like... super duper rich
4 - You believe there are rabbits baking cakes on the moon:
Welcome to the theorists' world (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ a.k.a the BU.
It's pretty much dead now, some people expect new things for 2025 but there's no guarantee. It's a fiction set up in the BTS MVs that then got extended through web comics, novels, and a web series.
That should be it. I didn't mention a lot of things (the Festa, the solo works, the DVD packages…) but it should cover your bases and it's mostly free and easily available. I think you'll naturally come across the rest during your time in the fandom (there are tons of compilations and curated extracts). I think that's one of the nice things about BTS, you always discover something you had never heard before even when you're an experienced fan!
To stay up-to-date, don't hesitate to follow official accounts, as well as a few translators. You can also check r/bangtan on Reddit, there are often new fans asking for help/recommendations there, it's probably more complete than what I could come up with on my own.
And of course if you want to ask something else, I'm still here (and promise, I'll try to answer sooner)
See you! 💜
