Currently thinking about Artemis's will in the code at the bottom of TLG and how it really kinda shows how strained his relationship with his dad still is. Everyone else gets something they're interested in or that Arty thinks they'd like (sound system for Juliet, frozen chicken for Mulch, ethical investments for his mother, etc) and yet for his father he leaves only bearer bonds, despite Artemis I trying to move away from a money-focused enterprise and lifestyle as of TEC. Not to mention it's Butler who would know how to disengage all the booby traps protecting said bearer bonds, further highlighting the difference in trust & familiarity Artemis has with everyone but his father.

#artemis fowl #is this comprehensible? idk #i just think they're a fun relationship to explore #and like i get the reasons why the relationship between the two artemises isn't really elaborated on in canon #and why it exists as it does in the first place but still #your son - whom you had a very businesslike relationship with in his young childhood - talks about money when you are returned to him #after being missing for nearly two years. you tell him you failed and want to be a better father and money isn't all that is important.#a handful of years pass and your son goes missing (and is presumed dead just like you were) and yet returns just like you did #barely a year later though while grappling with his actual death and corpse you find out that no actually nothing had changed #and he still went to his grave with the only bridge between the two of you being money with no interest in other hobbies #what a thing for Tim to experience #from an overthinking and reading too much into things perspective that's heartbreaking #we never hear about Juliet's interest in sports cars or pop music yet that was included in artemis's will for her #compared to like beckett who we know likes bugs and slime and how artemis put that in his will for him #so when we get snippets of Tim's other interests (solar powered planes or his bio-hybrid prosthetic or running marathons or whatever)#and yet Arty didn't include anything about those interests in his will for his father is kinda like... huh.#you never really did change your perception of what would make your dad happy did you #and that would've destroyed Tim

Like I’m actually in awe that Pixelberry dared to speak about biphobia and bi erasure, with a bisexual male character. One of the reasons I vastly prefer His Story to Her Story.

this is more or less how im gonna draw the backyard kids in the atari era as well just to make it easy for myself. like more rounder heads like the 97, still chibi-ish but a tad bit older?

under the read more is 05' HCs for cass

cassandra cruz HCs - 05 edition (this is more so around hockey)

after going through middle school (cause thats where i HC the kids are at least around 04) she began to play hockey more

hockey was the thing to break out of her shell as she began to be more talkative and less afraid. being able to be in the mighty whale sharks helps with teamwork, communication, resilience, discipline, adaptability, and the ability to contain her composure. being in hockey actually made her less anxious about schoolwork and homework.

her worst sports are basketball, football, and skateboard. on her spare time she does try to learn how to skateboard.

never tries to fight any of the opposing team (not allowed anyway). her checking comes from using her hockey stick to poke the puck away from the opposing team.

the mighty whale sharks is one of the many BHL teams and its the kid version of the san jose sharks. in fact cassandra's jersey number is joe thorton's jersey number but reversed: 91.

word got out that she's still called 'sparkles', so her mighty whale sharks teammates also call her 'sparkles'.

she has performed a hat trick before on two away games

there's an empty net on the opposing team and if she's near her team's goal net, she try for a long goal and hit the puck as hard as she can. it happened to get her a goal in the last seconds of a 3rd period game, getting her team the win and she couldn't believe she got it. she didnt realize she hit a goal until the horn indicated that she did. since that game, players have been calling that her big shot. she rarely makes that kind of shot in her games.

relationship HCs - 05 edition

tony: while her outgoing side shows, however, does not mean she gets less shy around tony IN FACT, she gets worse. actively just dances around it even when by now tony knows about it (but also secretly likes her too) nothing but lighthearted jabs at each other because of this. i dont know if atari still keeps the stat boosts but has the same ones in baseball 97, BUT tony also gets the stat boost when they are in the same team

joe thorton: has a friendly rivalry with joe. HC is that the pro players are in a different neighborhoods and play against the backyard kids sometimes. despite being in different neighborhoods, they're on friendly terms and talks with cass about going pro for the NHL. gets a stat boost if she's against joe

by middle school, she's best friends with angela, tony, amir, kenny, and achmed.

i don't want to be too negative about this ask but like. if this is how you feel you should not watch. like i 100% understand this feeling but if you are too distressed about him to actually enjoy the sport then it's really not worth it. you deserve to be able to enjoy tennis in a way that doesn't hinge on that outcome.

#alexander zverev #sorry for taking this too seriously but like. there are so many shitty people in tennis and in sports in general #i absolutely do not blame you for feeling this way but you need to weigh if that worry is worth the joy of watching #because the unfortunate truth is he very well may win a slam and if your enjoyment of the sport hinges on that #then its probably healthier to abstain #like obviously it bothers the shit out of me that he's still playing #but im also at the point of like. well. its clear they're not going to do anything about it #nothing is going to happen #the best i can do for myself is just avoid his matches as much as possible #occasionally i do get pissed because other players are all buddy buddy with him and that does suck #but for the most part ive been able to save myself from a lot of distress about it just by completely ignoring his existence #and if he did win a slam i would continue to do so #i used to be very dialed in to this exact thought process #like i couldn't even enjoy a men's tournament that he was playing in because i just kept thinking about how unfair it was #and eventually i decided that was stupid because its not going to change the fact that he's playing #AND its robbing me of my enjoyment of the sport #which he should have no bearing on #so anyway. i get it but also i really would advise you to try and reorient yourself if you can #because you deserve to be able to enjoy the sport even if he's playing

I am never drawing splatoon weapons again! holy shit that fucking sucked!#on the bright side I got to mess around a bit with some hair style concepts I’ve been rotating in my head #also I’m still working on giving these guys an updated story but my basic idea is that they’re a professional tower control team that has #been facing some conflicts as of late due to them all getting old enough to start having aspirations outside of their team #cherry is from the domes but her parents left with her when she was around 10 #blast went to the same school as her and the two became pretty close friends as selective mute buddies #then at some point cherry caught wind of this cool new sport called tower control and was like woahhh I wanna do that #so she just went up to the first person near the battle lobby she could find and was like hey how do I join?#and he got super excited since he has a reputation for being incapable of shutting up so someone willing coming up to him came as a shock #they showed her where to get weapons and how to join battles and the two became battle buddies real quick #this lead to blast getting super worried and anxious as she didn’t want to see her only friend get hurt or stolen from her #at which point cherry was like oh I know! why don’t you come battle with us?#and blast was like wait wait wait no what if I die and dont come back and then die again :[#they managed to come to a compromise for a while tho and eventually blast was able to just barely squish past her fear enough to start #being kind of interested in tower control as she had started watching the other two play #and while she was still anxious abt the idea eventually she sheepishly admitted she wanted to give it a try #and she ended up really liking it! so the three kept playing together #and eventually they started to feel more and more like an actual team and egg noticed #they had been scouting a team to join for a lil while now and after getting to play with the three quite a few times and getting on friendly #terms with them they were like hey what if we became like an actual team who do tournaments and stuff
