You smiled at your phone watching a girl do a prank on her boyfriend in Tiktok where she pretended to be on the phone with her friends with some "gossip" and her boyfriend was trying to listen to it.

Pedri, your almost three years boyfriend, loved any kind of gossip and whilst you delivered to them nicely to rant about your day or get off any anger, he got his dose of gossip and helped you with your problems.

You loved it tho. It was nice the fact, you were lovers and at the same time the best of friends, trusting everything you have and own into the others arms.

"Amor, estás lista?" (Babe, you ready?)

You smirked. You definitely were going to do this one.

"Si!" You replied grabbing the tray with your food. You pushed your phone in between your shoulder and chin and walked towards your living room. "Help me, please?"

"Hostias preciosa, you could have told me you'd need the help" You shook your head smiling softly

"I had it done until now" It was his turn to shake his head with a smile on

"Who is it?" He asked whispering noticing you were in the phone

"Alexia, she's been texting me non-stop today, she told me she'd call me for something, don't know what it is tho" You replied in the same way

"Chica, the call" He said after a few seconds as you show him your blocked phone

"There's no call, mi niño. I'm pranking you and realizing I have the biggest gossip for Fer and your parents once they came back next week"

"No! They'll be going at it for the rest of our lives!" You laughed as Pedri went ahead and hugged himself into your chest

"I'm preparing everything then" You smiled

"So, it was a prank?" You nod humming once you both calmed down "So there's no gossip? Joder" He lamented and you laughed again, this time Pedri joining too as you leaned down and kissed his lips

Mirabel headcanons

Mirabel Braulina Rojas Madrigal. Born 6th of March 1935

Childhood

Mama’s girl

Was a natural mediator. She generally doesn't like arguments and starts tearing up when somebody yells, even if it's not at her. 

Was very close to Luisa prior her ceremony. Hovewer, because of it, Mirabel was actually way more hurt by gentle distancing with Luisa rather than mych more agressive and bad relationship with Isabela.

Started learning embroidery in school and developed a great interest in it. (School in a rural Colombia would definitely teach about managing the household and self-care.)

Wasn't actually close to Bruno prior him leaving. In fact, they had barely interacted with eachother at all. Bruno was isolating himself for the most part by the point Camilo and Mirabel were born. And Mirabel was blamed for Bruno leaving

Mirabel got her eyes checked at the Christmas, few days prior Camilo's ceremony. Her sisters were checked too several times during their childhood

Teenage years pre-movie

She didn't play "mother's" role for Antonío. Antonío sees her as a big sister, not parent fugure. And Mirabel wasn't forced to babysit newborn all days long. Especially without an adult supervision. 

Isabela and Mirabel were getting agressive and snarky with each other around Isabela's Quinceañera and just got worse over the years. At the same time Luisa was using chores as a way to escape more and more.

Mirabel was/is a far better student than the rest of grandkids. Both because she wasn't distracted by her gift during the school time and she has a huge amount of patience and ability to focus.

Of course she is losing to her sisters (and everyone else) in terms of physical strength. 

Mirabel would walk around Encanto for hours after her parents tried to talk about her feelings. Just hoping that they would forget.

Likes showing what she made but is very nervous if she has to work in front of someone's eyes.

Mirabel acts like the family's cheerleader. Constantly praising them amd making her entire outfit dedicaded to them rather than to herself.

She is using optimism as a coping mechanism. Félix was probably a huge inspiration for her

Would never think bad about her family or think about leaving them.

Post-movie 

Still has nightmares about Casita's fall. Usually she goes to Luisa (Or Luisa just grabs her) as one of the closest relationship she has. (Second to only Antonío, but he is a child  and Luisa is the family protector)

will NOT become the next matriarch/candleholder.

Her future job is clothes design and decoration. She will be the one to decorate clothes for the next gen. (And her own when they would need new)

Repairs relationship with her sisters during the rebuilding.

Mirabel stops acting all cheery and outgoing most of the time now that she doesn't show off her family. She will gladly tell evwryone about her family, but she doesn't feel like she has to run all over the place for this

Sane way to her sisters, Mirabel won't get perfect in just one day. She still blames herself, feels like she has to make up for her lack of a gift and other. It rakes a while to heal

Relationships:

To put it shortly, Mirabel wasn't close to any adults in the family. They essentially grow closer but as teenager, Mirabel isn't really interested in spending time with them.

Her relationship with Abuela took a lot of work, for the most part during the rebuilding. Hearing Alma's stoty helped a lot because of Mira's compassionate nature but it didn't fix all the issues. They are getting there

Out of the adults, Mirabel is the closest to her mom. Tho pre-movie Mira tended to avoid her as felt she didn't deserve attention and affection. But is definitely closer to hwr and has warmer relationship compared to the others.

Mirabel is also very good with Félix as they both tend to act as emotional support and try to find positive sides even in the worst situations.

Pepa aprecciates Mirabel and how she teaches Antonío like a sibling. Generally finds their relationship very sweet. But they also not very close. Not on bad terms, they like eachother. But they won't spend much time together either.

Mirabel finds her dad somebody relieving.  Despite being closer to Julieta, she will much rather go to him if there's something wrong and she needs to talk with an adult. As Agustín doesn't do nearly as much emotional support (he still does, but nobody can beat Julieta.) And they actually can seem closer because spend more time together. Mirabel was a bit more comfortable around Agustín and Félix pre-movie as they were giftless too. Hence why Isabela thought that Mirabel is Agustín's fav.

She gets to know Bruno better, but they aren't very close. Again, taking the fact that they never really spoke prior her ceremony and all the blaming. And Bruno would at first het close with his own generation rather than kids.

Dolores enjoys Mirabel's quiet company. Especially as two relatively responsible members in the family they tend to get along really well. And emboidery isn't a loud hobby either so Dolores prefers it to whatever the others are doing.

Mirabel finds Camilo very annoying. They aren't really close. Pretty much the same fashion as Dolores and Luisa where both prefer anybody else. But as Camilo and Mirabel are teens they also tend to he way more sarcastic and bitter with eachother. As oppose to just not spending time together.

Antonío is still Mirabel's number one friend. They grow apart as he gets a lot of animal friends now. But both are still close to eachother and will happy bond together whenever they can

1. Time Travel AU

first au i've ever thought about, cool hue sisters centered, because i love them sm and i was still finding my footing in encanto and the fandom when i thought of this au, and yeah

its where isabela and luisa get sent back to the past after going after and protecting mirabel as casita falls

i gained the idea after seeing how the two older sisters were still so terrified of alma and disappointing her that they couldn't stand up for mirabel and for themselves, but as casita was falling, they weren't about to let their baby sister go, not after everything

despite this being the first au, its also still really vague and barebones in a sense, not much planned yet and its all just vibes, plus i just really wanted a cool sisters au because i love them sm

2. Big Hero 6 AU

ah yes, big hero 6 au, my beloved

came to be when i figured out bear aka @gamerbearmira's reference in one of her encanto one shots, the scooby doo one where they got arrested, and she used bh6's aunt cass' rant for alma's rant in said one shot, and then it led me to realize the potential of encanto big hero 6 au with bear, so that was fun

honestly been a bit since i touched the au personally, as i keep getting distracted by the other ones below

3. [Redacted] AU

ah yes, this au, the 120 and counting pages one in my docs

and the 120 pages are mostly just details and planning for the au, not a single written thing yet

this au is not called redacted au, but the name itself is redacted because the word itself is a bit of a spoiler and im still trying to find a better name for it in general

i have no idea how to explain this au

first thing to mention is how its very much inspired by Take Back the Kingdom by @optimistic-violinist and @impossiblefangirl0632 (sorry for the tag, i can take it out if you'd like) and i really really recommend this fic, its so so good and it changed my brain chemistry on so many levels

so yes, i really got inspired by this fic, and it will very much be shown in this particular au with some things and tropes, but ofc im doing my own spin on stuff and the details, and from what i have rn, i think it really evolved and is still evolving as time goes on

another thing to note about this is how the idea came to be because of TBTK inspiration and a dream i had on the day i was taking a metaphysics midterms exam (this is completely unnecessary to mention but oh well, i still remember that moment so vividly)

the dream impacted just exactly how this au is going to go

what is the dream about? you'll find out whenever i get to write this au

all i can say without spoiling much is that there are lots of memory shenanigans and angst, plus the very fun trope of "your found family is your actual family"

also once more, read take back the kingdom, very good fic, 11/10, much recommend, will reread again

4. Ghost Cocoon AU

this au is the fusion of the Cocoon au and the Ghost Grandkids au, both still found in @/gamerbearmira's blog

ghost grandkids au is from @jerseyk112 and cocoon au is from @raefever, and ofc bear has a lot of ideas and thoughts for these aus in her blog

i was rereading bear's cocooned fic for the 17123723507 time and while i was at it, i remembered the ghost grandchildren au, so i decided it would be pretty fun to fuse the two aus together in some way

and so i did (first ask, second ask)

basic premise of this au is really just the ghost kids' healing and them protecting their younger selves and their family

this fusion au interested me so much that it got to the point where i actually wrote a 3683 word first chapter of sorts(?) for this fusion au already (bear has seen it but i havent posted it at all)

planning on continuing it when i feel like it tho hehe

so yes its been wild with this one

5. Giftless Grandkids AU

just as the name says, au where all the grandkids are giftless

all i can say is everything and nothing changes all at the same time with this

this au was sent and suggested by an anon in bear's blog

this is also the one where bear and i went wild on for the past few days

pretty sure bear is gonna be writing this au, if im not mistaken? so its very exciting

there's a lot in store for this au and it'll be fun

6. Undertale AU

not the type where the characters are these characters tho

this idea is where we'll be throwing the grandkids into the underground for an adventure of a lifetime!

so basically characters of one media meet characters of the other media type

and the kids are gonna be going through the plot of undertale, technically in frisk's shoes here

this au is still very vibes and not much planned, there's lots of potential to play around tho, so im thinking of exploring this at some point soon

7. Gravity Falls AU

gravity falls au this time!!

now this au is the one pure vibes one, absolutely zero planning or thoughts, just vibes and aspirations for it

not even sure if it'll be like the undertale au where characters of one media will meet characters of the other media or if it'll be characters from this media are gonna be these characters of that media in this au

i just thought it would be fun to have an encanto gravity falls au idea, but still dont know where it'll be going in general

I understand you, I'm also disappointed with the actress choices. Bella because: 1) she doesn't even resemble ellie a bit, 2) I agree that she's a great actress but there are so many great actresses out there that could have convince us more that she's ellie (and no, I love ashley but Idc what she said about bella, she has her opinion and we have ours. End.)

And I also don't really like the actress choice for dina, for the same reasons someone have put it out. It's like they chose the whitest-looking latina girl to be dina and that's it (who by the way doesn't even looks like dina), amd something I really like in HBO is that they give chance to new or not-recognized-yet actors: Daenerys from Game of Thrones is an example for that, she have never acted before game of thrones but HBO really had a gold finger when they chose her. Same with pedro pascal, game of thrones was the spotlight he needed to be more famous. But Isabela? I have seen that girl so many times, I'm already tired of her face. And even tho she doesn't resemble a little girl, she doesn't look like an young adult either, watching them and bella is gonna by like watching some teenage netflix movie. (like bella) Where are the unexpected choices, the originality?

Nothing will get out of my head that katie Douglas or Kaitlyn Dever. For Dina, Paolina Van Kleef or Melissa Barrera would have been good choices - and I bet there was even better options if they had made the effort to search.

As I said so many times, I don't mind that Bella doesn't look anything like Ellie (even though I am aware of that), because I think they are a great actress and they've done an excellent job at what they've been given. 

What I always had a problem with was what the creators did to Ellie as a character. They made her a completely different person in some aspects, and there are some things I just can't forgive the creators for because I know they did it to foreshadow what was coming, and it was just lazy writing and nothing else.

The best part about the game was that we got this sweetheart of a girl with a foul mouth to fall in love with only to find out what a strong, badass, killing machine she's going to turn into in a few years. Nobody prepared us for it, and it was one of the best things about Part 1 connecting Part 2. What they did in the show was basically spoiling S2 Ellie for us with the 'violent heart' comment, which she doesn't have in the first place, but okay, let those who never played the game believe it. 

I remember being happy about Isabela getting the role because, when I looked her up, she seemed like a good choice for Dina. Then I found out some people were having real problems with this choice because the actress was not Jewish and wanted Dina to be portrayed by someone who is to embrace the role. This was something I never considered before because I wasn't educated enough on the subject, but still, I was not here to hate or dislike this choice. I am entitled to have an opinion, and the only opinion I've ever had was that in some way Isabela looks too young, and it would be better if they made her look a bit older for the later parts (I can't really imagine her looking so young in Ellie and Dina's farm era). But then again, if they'll give us some scenes of Ellie and Dina meeting when they arrived in Jackson, then her young appearance is perfect for the role of 16 year old Dina.

I don't know Isabela Merced at all. I never really heard of her until they cast her as Dina. So, (again) I won't judge. I have no idea what she is like as an actress, so I'll wait to see what she's going to give us in the show. 

Hopefully they'll make the girls look a little older, because who's gonna believe that these 'kids' are going to be able to take down everyone who gets in their way on their own?

Aisling Lavellan: 12/10 - "Basically an octopus" cit. Dorian

She's touchy, the person that will absent-mindedly place her hand on you in talking (if she likes you and doesn't think you don't like being touched) and that will go around comic cons and pride with a "free hugs" sign. A pat on the shoulder, holding your hands... She relies in touch even platonically. Cuddles are her jam, she'll actively search for them. She has a schedule to hug and cuddle everyone in the Inner Circle, divided by frequency. People who needs an hug daily, once every other day, at random times so they don't get used to it. Romantically? She basically is on you at every given chance, why sitting together if you're not sitting with one side stuck to the other? And oh, she's a big spoon. She's a cuddle giver, but relies a lot in the other person reciprocating it.

Radha Lavellan: 6/10 - Good cuddler, won't coddle you

She grew up with Aisling, and got used to constant physical contact. When they were children, Aisling used to slip in her cot whenever she had a nightmare or couldn't sleep, and Radha cuddled her until one of them dozed off. She likes it, on occasions and from people she likes. She doesn't like coddling, and as everything she does: cuddling is very intentional and not by chance and casual as for Aisling. She's a mom friend, so you know she gives some good hugs. But, she saves them and gives them sparingly: if she hugs you, you know she likes you quite a lot. Won't mind if you hug her first, it all depends on how high on her approval you are.

Raina Hawke: 8/10 - Loves them, needs them, is not used to them

She's a provider in every sense and in the worst acception of the term. She gives cuddles when the occasion allows it... But is not used to actually having a person appreciating them, less of all to have a person who actually cuddles her. I believe Isabela took some time for them (I believe she gives the best cuddles, but it requires some intimacy that is not so immediate for her. Plus she was sure that Raina can't really go casual, so cuddles were a nope not to give her more feelings. Did it work? Oh hell no.). Merrill is awkward with touch at first, but she tried and Raina was head over heels and in a ride or die in maybe one week. Maybe even less. She is not used to cuddles but I think is the one that needs them the most.

Garrett Hawke: 7/10 - Bear hugs are great but scarce

He gives the best hugs, hand down. Will pick you up while hugging you and squeeze in a way that's satisfying but not too much. He likes to cuddle and be cuddled back, is pretty good at it. Only thing: as easy going as he looks, actual trust for cuddles takes a lot, for him. Oh sure he'll act like your best friend from minute one... It's a form of defense and illusion. He can't be dangerous if he's so amicable no? He's the slowest to trust others of the group, and for cuddles... You need trust.

Alyra Mahariel: 3/10 - Why are you touching her?

Excuse me good sir why are you touching her? Put your hands down this minute. There, thank you. She cuddles people knowing they need it, but she's not really good at it, and by all means she won't appreciate it done to her without a warning save on VERY special occasions and easing her in. Morrigan/Alistair need reassurance? By all means she'll hug then and hold them, all they wants. She's very caring, will say yes if you need it... but her care comes in different form. She won't really like cuddles tho, before Keiran. As much as she will glare at you if you imply it, maternity changed her and softened some edges. Give that child all he wants, if he likes cuddles she'll hug him all day.

Rock band au - Backstory…kinda? 

Alma had already built her own following on her own youtube channel when the kids were like…teens? Many albums and such in her day. She toned it down a notch when she was 54, that’s when Dolores and Isa were born. (Her channel name was “Young Crimson” and changed to “Abuela Crimson”. She still drops some music from time to time.) She has done a world tour and released many albums and singles. 

Pepa had started her own music in her 20’s to mid 30’s. (And she happened to meet Felix at one of her small concerts). Her youtube channel name was “Thunderstorm” of course. She had done some world tours and whatnot as well. 

Isabela was ten when she took an interest in rock and frequently went to Pepa or Alma for music recommendations. Same for Mirabel as well, but she was nine when she started her love for rock/alternative music. Camilo was only eight when he started out. 

Over time their styles gradually changed the more they got into alternative fashion and such. Alma and Pepa mainly helped of course.

Isabela got her guitar at fourteen, Camilo got his drum set at eight (a year after her) and Mirabel got her guitar at nine (a year after them). 

I also wanna add the Pepa sometimes featured in Alma’s songs when she was in her teens + young adult years. So when she branched off to do her own stuff she already had a big following. Mirabel, Isabela, and Camilo kind of did the same when it came to her. They asked if they could be background vocals and she couldn’t say no, she folded like a wet paper towel. 

Three years passed and the three grandkids kind of worked up a good foundation in knowing how to use their instruments. Mirabel had an idea and decided to go to Alma about it first. Alma looked it over and she truly liked the idea and…made it into a full song with her daughter and three grandkids help. (Isa was nineteen and Camilo and Mirabel were twelve at the time the song was made.) 

The song was released on Pepa and Alma’s youtube channels. Since Mirabel made the song she was the lead singer. Everybody loved her voice seeing as it was a twelve year old singing at such a deep base and loud base.  

An Idea came to Mirabel’s mind…why not just be a full band? They already had the foundation for it and a huge following. It wouldn’t- well…starting a band was not easy but they already have a few things going for them. 

She asked her tia and abuela if they could be a full band and of course, both women were on board. Isabela and Camilo were absolutely ecstatic when they were told the idea. 

“Waiting on a Miracle” was released on April twelfth, four months later, “Illusions of identity” (written by Camilo) was released on August fourteenth. Four months later, “Flora and Rage” (written by Isabela) was released on December sixteenth. Each song had Pepa and/or Alma featured in them. 

Five songs by the second year; “Surface Pressure” (By Isa), “Thin ice” (by Pepa), “Hard Work that no one sees” (By Alma), “Shaken emotions” (By Mirabel), and “Constant heartache” (By Camilo). The youngest three had their first tour that year as well!

By the third year five more songs were made. Which made the band have a total of eighteen songs out! And they will be going on tour this year as well. All of which had music videos.

I was thinking of Alma joining but…decided against it for some reason??? Anyway, her stage name is Abuela Crimson! The kids & young adults absolutely love her and see her as the coolest grandma in the world. 

I’m not sure what to do for a group name tho…maybe “The unwanted”? I’m not sure, I’m just going for somethin’ edgy with 2000’s flair.

Other stuff-

Mira and Isa’s Parents (and sister) couldn’t be more proud to see them on stage with their Tia, Primo, and sometimes Abuela. Agustin and Luisa manage to cry every single time.  

Felix and Dolores love seeing them up there, even if Lolo has to wear headphones that muffle the sound a bit, she can still hear and loves every second of it. Felix a head bopper all the way through…to the point of getting whiplash.

The band mostly tours a few months before summer comes around. That way, when summer break comes, they can just have fun as a family. 

UNDERSTANDABLE‼️‼️ also. I was thinking, the time?? Is weird. So for Alma to have had a YouTube channel in her late 30’s/early 40’s, we’ll say when YouTube released, that means that this takes place farther into the future than now. Cause if she took a break at 54, Isabela and Dolores would’ve been born in like 2018 😭😭 BUT. A way around this is

A: Change the ages or Time screwing

B: Change the release of YT for this AU

C: Alma was popular before YT, but grew even bigger when YouTube came around. This could also let the AU take place in the mid 2000 and the 2020s.

Well, it HAS been 80 years, and people are excited about Dragon Age right now, which is just so invigorating, so I'm going to haver about that a bit.

I actually have clear favorite romances for each game, despite being the sort of person who loves all the characters. It's not the characters I'm loving best, it's the actual texture of the romance.

For Origins, it's gotta be Alistair. What can I say, it's the Demi romance. It's hard for me to do the sex-first romances. When Alistair first appeared, I remember my reaction very clearly: Who tf is this frat boy lookin' dude? But then, you know, he talked. I love Zevran, Morrigan, and Leliana so much. But the Alistair romance is my jam.

DA2 is Fenris. Merrill I love but really can't see that way, Isabela is a fascinating and kinda groundbreaking (and really really hot) character, but really diametrically opposed to how I roll. I romanced Anders first--and I love him, I LOVE him, don't get me wrong, but the actual romance ended up feeling (for me) like the end of my first relationship, where he just kept falling apart and I couldn't mend the damage and it was exhausting. Fenris, on the other hand, was actively regulating himself and doing what he needed to do to heal, and being a valued part of that process felt cathartic.

And I've just talked about why Cullen is my favorite for Inquisition, which again, has relatively little to do with "my favorite character" and everything to do with the actual narrative of the romance. Solas is my favorite character. He was always going to be. But then I found that as much as having an ancient rebel god fall in love with me was good fun, having an ancient elvhen rebel god feel a really deep connection of genuine friendship with a non-elvhen character really twists the knife sooo sexily. Romance with a non-elf is great too, and call me ace all you want, but having it platonic friendship where he can't even tell himself he was thinking with his dick is just extra for me.

I am very firmly in the "please surprise me" camp with regards to DA4, but so long as they keep writing compelling characters, I'll probably be happy.

A compelling villain would be nice this time tho.
